EnglishThe report is not like witnessing
العربيةلَیْسَ الْخَبَرُ کَالْمُعَایَنَةِ
[1:2]
EnglishWar is deception
العربيةالْحَرْبُ خُدَعَةٌ
[1:3]
EnglishA Muslim is a mirror of the Muslim
العربيةالْمُسْلِمُ مِرْآةُ الْمُسْلِمِ
[1:4]
EnglishSomeone whose advice is sought is in a position of trust
العربيةالْمُسْتَشَارُ مُؤتَمَنٌ
[1:5]
EnglishThe person guiding (someone) to do a good deed, is like the one performing the good deed
العربيةالدَّالُّ عَلَی الْخَیْرِ کَفَاعِلِهِ
[1:6]
EnglishSeek help for any needs discreetly
العربيةإِسْتَعِیْنُوْا عَلَی الْحَوَائِجِ بِالْکِتْمَانِ
[1:7]
EnglishProtect yourself from the fire even with a part of a date
العربيةإِتَّقُوْا النَّارَ وَلَوْ بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ
[1:8]
EnglishThe world is the believer’s prison and the disbeliever’s paradise
العربيةالدُّنْیَا سِجْنُ الْمُؤمِنِ وَ جَنَّةُ الْکَافِرِ
[1:9]
EnglishModesty is entirely good
العربيةالْحَیَاءُ خَیْرٌ کُلُّهُ
[1:10]
EnglishThe word of the believer is like seizing of the hand
العربيةعِدَةُ الْمُؤمِنِ کَاَخْذِ الْکَفِّ
[1:11]
EnglishIt is unlawful for a believer to sever relations with his brother for more than three days
العربيةلَا یَحِلُّ لِمُؤمِنٍ اَنْ یَّجُهْرَ أخَاهُ فَوقَ ثَلَاثَةِ أیَّامٍ
[1:12]
EnglishHe is not one of us who cheats us
العربيةلَیْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ غَشَّنَا
[1:13]
EnglishA little that suffices is better than an abundance that distracts
العربيةمَا قَلَّ وَكَفَى خَيْرٌ مِمَّا كَثُرَ وَأَلْهَى
[1:14]
EnglishSomeone who takes back his gift is like someone who eats his vomit
العربيةالرَّاجِعُ فِيْ هِبَتِهِ کَالرَّاجِعِ فِيْ قَیْئِهِ
[1:15]
EnglishAffliction comes from (loose) talk
العربيةالْبَلَاءُ مُوَکِّلٌ بِالْمَنْطِقِ
[1:16]
EnglishPeople are like the teeth of a comb
العربيةالنَّاسُ کَأسْنَانِ الْمُشْطِ
[1:17]
EnglishRichness lies in the richness of the soul
العربيةالْغِنَى غِنَى النَّفْسِ
[1:18]
EnglishThe felicitous person takes lessons from (the actions of) others
العربيةالْسَّعِیْدُ مَنْ وُّعِظَ بِغَیْرِهِ
[1:19]
EnglishIndeed, in poetry there is wisdom and in eloquence there is magic
العربيةوَ إِنَّ مِنَ الشِّعْرِ لَحِکْمَةً وَاِنَّ مِنَ الْبَیَانِ لَسِحْرًا
[1:20]
EnglishThe king’s pardon preserves the kingdom
العربيةعَفْوُ الْمُلُوْكِ إِبْقَاءٌ لِلْمُلْكِ
[1:21]
EnglishA man will be with whom he loves
العربيةاَلْمَرْءُ مَعَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ
[1:22]
EnglishA man who knows his worth will not be ruined
العربيةمَا هَلَكَ إمْرُؤٌ عَرَفَ قَدْرَهُ
[1:23]
EnglishThe child belongs to the bed and stoning is for the adulterer
العربيةاَلْوَلَدُ لِلْفِرَاشِ وَ لِلْعَاهِرِ الْحَجَرُ
[1:24]
EnglishThe upper hand is superior to the lower hand
العربيةالْیَدُ الْعُلْیَا خَیْرٌ مِّنَ الْیَدِ السُّفْلَی
[1:25]
EnglishHe does not thank Allah who does not thank people
العربيةلَا شَکَرَ اللهَ مَنْ لَّا یَشْکُرُ النَّاسَ
[1:26]
EnglishYour love of something can blind and deafen (you)
العربيةحُبُّكَ الشَّيْءَ یُعْمِيْ وَ یُصِمُّ
[1:27]
EnglishHearts are predisposed to love someone who does them good and detest someone who does them harm
العربيةجُبِلَتِ الْقُلُوبُ عَلی حُبَّ مَنْ اَحْسَنَ اِلَیْهَا وَ بُغْضِ مَنْ اَسَاءَ اِلَیْهَا

EnglishOne who repents from sin is like someone without sin
العربيةالْتَّائِبُ مِنَ الذَّنْبِ کَمَنْ لَا ذَنْبَ لَهُ
[1:29]
EnglishThe person who actually witnesses an (event) sees that which one who is absent does not
العربيةالشَّاهِدُ یَرَی مَا لَا یَرَاهُ الْغَائِبُ
[1:30]
EnglishIf the nobleman of a people comes to you, honour him
العربيةاِذا جَاءَکُمْ کَرِیْمُ قَوْمٍ فَاَکْرِمُوهُ
[1:31]
EnglishFalse oaths lay waste to home (lands)
العربيةالْیَمِینُ الْفَاجِرَةُ تَدَعُ الدِّیَارَ الْبَلَاقِعَ
[1:32]
EnglishWhoever is killed attempting to save his property is a martyr
العربيةمَنْ قُتِلَ دُونَ مَالِهِ فَهُوَ شَهِیْدٌ
[1:33]
EnglishActions are through intentions
العربيةالْاَعْمَالُ بِالنِّیَّةِ
[1:34]
EnglishThe leader of a people is their servant
العربيةسَیِّدُ الْقَوْمِ خَادِمُهُمْ
[1:35]
EnglishThe best of affairs is that which is balanced
العربيةخَیْرُ الْأُمُوْرِ أَوْسَطُهَا
[1:36]
EnglishO Allah, bless my nation in its early rising on Thursdays
العربيةاَللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ فِیْ أُمَّتِیْ فِی بُکُوْرِهَا یَوْمَ الْخَمِیْسِ
[1:37]
EnglishPoverty can almost turn into disbelief
العربيةکَادَ الْفَقْرُ أَنْ یَکُوْنَ کُفْرًا
[1:38]
EnglishTravelling is a portion of punishment
العربيةالْسَّفَرُ قِطْعَةٌ مِّنَ الْعَذَابِ
[1:39]
EnglishThe best of provision is God-Consciousness (taqwa)
العربيةخَیْرُ زَّادِ الْتَّقْوَی
[1:40]
EnglishMeetings are under trust
العربيةالْمَجَالِسُ بِالْاَمَانَةِ
