ॐ अस्य श्रीराहुकवचस्तोत्रमन्त्रस्य चन्द्रमा ऋषिः, अनुष्टुप्छन्दः, रां बीजम्, नमः शक्तिः, स्वाहा कीलकम्, राहुकृत पीडानिवारणार्थे, धनधान्य, आयुरारोग्य आदि समृद्धि प्राप्तयर्थे जपे विनियोगः ॥
英文释义
Om. This hymn is the armor of Rahu. Sage is Chandra (Moon), meter is Anushtup, seed syllable is 'Ram', power is salutation 'Namah', lock bolt is 'Swaha'. For removal of troubles caused by Rahu, for attaining wealth, grains, longevity, health and other prosperity, this hymn is chanted.
The Rahu Kavacham is traditionally chanted for protection from the malefic effects of Rahu and to gain wealth, health and longevity.
第一节
सैंहिकेयं करालास्यं लोकानामभयप्रदम् ॥ १॥
I constantly bow to Rahu, wearing the crown shaped like a winnowing basket, The son of Simhika, with a terrifying countenance, The bestower of fearlessness to the people.
第二节
चक्षुषी पातु मे राहुः श्रोत्रे त्वर्धशरीरवान् ॥ २॥
May Rahu, clad in blue garments, protect my head. May the one worshipped by the world protect my forehead. May Rahu protect my eyes. May the half-bodied one protect my ears.
第三节
जिह्वां मे सिंहिकासूनुः कण्ठं मे कठिनाङ्घ्रिकः ॥ ३॥
May the smoke-colored one protect my nose. May the spear-holder protect my face. May the son of Simhika protect my tongue. May the one with hard feet protect my throat.
第四节
पातु वक्षःस्थलं मन्त्री पातु कुक्षिं विधुन्तुदः ॥ ४॥
May the Lord of serpents protect my arms. May the one wearing blue garlands and garments protect my hands. May the knower of mantras protect my chest. May the enemy of the Moon protect my stomach.
第五节
स्वर्भानुर्जानुनी पातु जङ्घे मे पातु जाड्यहा ॥ ५॥
May the formidable one protect my hip. May the one worshipped by gods protect my thighs. May Swarbhanu protect my knees. May the remover of stupidity protect my calves.
第六节
सर्वाण्यङ्गानि मे पातु नीलचन्दनभूषणः ॥ ६॥
May the Lord of planets protect my ankles. May the one of terrible appearance protect my feet. May the one adorned with blue sandalwood protect all my limbs.
最终节
भक्त्या पठत्यनुदिनं नियतः शुचिः सन् ।
प्राप्नोति कीर्तिमतुलां श्रियमृद्धिमायु-
रारोग्यमात्मविजयं च हि तत्प्रसादात् ॥ ७॥
Whoever recites this armor of Rahu daily with devotion, That destroys poverty, being disciplined and pure, Will attain incomparable fame, prosperity, wealth, Long life, health and self-victory by his grace.
॥ इति श्रीमहाभारते धृतराष्ट्रसञ्जयसंवादे
द्रोणपर्वणि राहुकवचं सम्पूर्णम् ॥
Thus concludes the Rahu Kavacham from the dialogue between Dhritarashtra and Sanjaya in the Mahabharata, in the Droṇa Parva.
