| عَرَبِي | بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ |

| English (Pickthall) | In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful. |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | I begin by calling on Allah, Who is Ar-Raḥmān, the Merciful, and Ar-Raḥīm, the Compassionate. These last two names of Allah are derived from the Arabic word raḥmah, which means mercy: proving the greatness and vastness of His Mercy and that His Mercy surrounds everything, and embraces all living beings. Every blessing is due to His mercy, and the believers receive the greatest mercy. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | मैं अल्लाह का नाम लेकर, उस सर्वशक्तिमान की सहायता लेते हुए, उसके नाम के उल्लेख से बरकत लेते हुए क़ुरआन पढ़ना शुरू करता हूँ। 'बिस्मिल्लाहिर रहमानिर रहीम' में अल्लाह के तीन सुंदर नाम मौजूद हैं : 1- 'अल्लाह', अर्थात् : सत्य पूज्य। यह अल्लाह का सबसे विशिष्ट नाम है। यह उस महिमावान के अलावा किसी और का नाम नहीं रखा सकता। 2- 'अर्-रह़मान', अर्थात् : विस्तृत दया वाला। चुनाँचे वह स्वतः परम दयावान् है। 3- 'अर्-रह़ीम', अर्थात् : दया करने वाला। चुनाँचे वह अपनी दया के साथ अपनी सृष्टि में से जिसपर चाहता है, दया करता है, जिनमें उसके मोमिन बंदे भी शामिल हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | الحَمدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ العالَمينَ |

| English (Pickthall) | Praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds, |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | All praise belongs to Allah with regards to His essence, attributes and actions, because He is the Creator of everything. Everything belongs to Him and He is the disposer of their affairs; blessing individuals specifically and humans in general. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तारीफ़ अल्लाह ही के लिये है जो तमाम क़ायनात का रब है। |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | पूर्ण स्तुति, तथा प्रताप एवं पूर्णता के गुणों की सभी प्रकार की प्रशंसा केवल अल्लाह की है, किसी और की नहीं। क्योंकि वही प्रत्येक चीज़ का पालनहार, उसका रचयिता और प्रबंधक है। 'अल्-आलमून', 'आलम' का बहुवचन है और इससे अभिप्राय अल्लाह सर्वशक्तिमान के अलावा सभी चीज़ें हैं। |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | He is the Master of the day of Judgement, the day in which we will be brought back to life and repaid for what we have done, all of His creation will be held accountable for their actions and recompensed for them. On that day God will ask “To whom belongs the Kingdom today?” [Sūrah Ghafir: 16] No one, no matter how high his status, will answer, and then God will reply Himself, “to God, the One, the Overcomer” [Sūrah Ghafir: 16] |

| عَرَبِي | إِيّاكَ نَعبُدُ وَإِيّاكَ نَستَعينُ |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हम हर प्रकार की इबादत और आज्ञापालन केवल तेरे लिए करते हैं। अतः हम तेरे साथ किसी को साझी नहीं बनाते तथा हम अपने सभी मामलों में केवल तुझसे ही मदद माँगते हैं। क्योंकि तेरे ही हाथ में सारी भलाइयाँ हैं और तेरे सिवा कोई मददगार नहीं। |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | Show and facilitate for us the right way, the path of submission to You which has no crookedness, and make us firm upon it – |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | हमें सीधा रास्ता दिखा। |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हमें सीधा मार्ग दिखा, हमें उसपर चला, हमें उसपर सुदृढ़ कर दे तथा हमारे मार्गदर्शन में वृद्धि कर दे। 'अस्-सिरात अल्-मुस्तक़ीम' (सीधे मार्ग) का मतलब है वह स्पष्ट मार्ग, जिसमें कोई भी टेढ़ापन नहीं है। और यह इस्लाम है, जिसके साथ अल्लाह ने मुह़म्मद सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम को भेजा। |

| عَرَبِي | صِراطَ الَّذينَ أَنعَمتَ عَلَيهِم غَيرِ المَغضوبِ عَلَيهِم وَلَا الضّالّينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Sirata allatheena anAAamta AAalayhim ghayri almaghdoobi AAalayhim wala alddalleena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Siraatal-lazeena an'amta 'alaihim ghayril-maghdoobi 'alaihim wa lad-daaalleen |
| English (Pickthall) | The path of those whom Thou hast favoured; Not the (path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have evoked [Your] anger or of those who are astray. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The same path as those of Your creation whom You have blessed with guidance, such as the prophets, the truthful, martyrs, and the righteous ones. What good companions these people make! Keep us away from the path of those who earned Your anger, who knew the truth and did not follow it – as was the case with the Israelites; and keep us away from the path of those who lost their way and were not guided, because they were neglectful in seeking the Truth and being guided by it – as was the case with the Christians. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हमें अपने उन बंदों का रास्ता दिखा, जिन्हें तूने मार्गदर्शन से पुरस्कृत किया; जैसे नबी, सत्य निष्ठ, शहीद एवं सदाचारी लोग, और ये बहुत अच्छे साथी हैं। उन लोगों का रास्ता नहीं, जिनपर प्रकोप उतरा, जिन्होंने सत्य को जानने के बावजूद उसका पालन नहीं किया, जैसे यहूदी लोग। तथा न उन लोगों का रास्ता, जो सत्य से भटक गए, जो सत्य की खोज और उसे पाने की कोशिश में लापरवाही के कारण, सत्य तक नहीं पहुँच सके, जैसे ईसाई लोग। |
