| English (Pickthall) | Successful indeed are the believers |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The believers must (eventually) win through,- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Certainly will the believers have succeeded: |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who believed in Allah and acted according to His laws have indeed succeeded by achieving whatever they sought, and gaining salvation from whatever they feared. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | अलबत्ता वह ईमान लाने वाले रस्तगार हुए |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अल्लाह पर ईमान लाने वाले और उसकी शरीयत के अनुसार काम करने वाले लोग अपनी अपेक्षित चीज़ को प्राप्त करके और भय वाली चीज़ों से मुक्ति पाकर सफल हो गए। |

| عَرَبِي | الَّذينَ هُم في صَلاتِهِم خاشِعونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Allatheena hum fee salatihim khashiAAoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Allazeena hum fee Salaatihim khaashi'oon |
| English (Pickthall) | Who are humble in their prayers, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who humble themselves in their prayers; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | They who are during their prayer humbly submissive |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who were humble in their prayer: their limbs remained calm during it and their hearts were free of distractions. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जो अपनी नमाज़ों में विनम्रता अपनाते है; |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जो अपनी नमाज़ों में (खुदा के सामने) गिड़गिड़ाते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो अपनी नमाज़ में इस तरह विनम्रता अपनाने वाले होते हैं कि उसमें उनके शारीरिक अंग शांत होते हैं और उनके दिल व्यस्त करने वाली चीज़ों से खाली होते हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ هُم عَنِ اللَّغوِ مُعرِضونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena hum AAani allaghwi muAAridoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena hum 'anillaghwimu'ridoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And who shun vain conversation, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Who avoid vain talk; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And they who turn away from ill speech |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who turned away from falsehood and futility, especially those futile actions and speech which was sinful. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और जो व्यर्थ बातों से पहलू बचाते है; |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जो बेहूदा बातों से मुँह फेरे रहते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो व्यर्थ, निरर्थक और अवज्ञा की बातों और कामों से उपेक्षा करने वाले हैं। |
| Ayah 4 |
| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ هُم لِلزَّكاةِ فاعِلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena hum lilzzakati faAAiloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena hum liz Zakaati faa'iloon |
| English (Pickthall) | And who are payers of the poor-due; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Who are active in deeds of charity; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And they who are observant of zakah |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who purified themselves of evil characteristics, and their wealth by taking out Zakat from it. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और जो ज़कात अदा करते है; |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जो ज़कात (अदा) किया करते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो लोग अपने आपको दोषों और मलिनताओं से शुद्ध करने वाले और ज़कात अदा करके अपने धन को पाक करने वाले हैं। |
| Ayah 5 |
| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ هُم لِفُروجِهِم حافِظونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena hum lifuroojihim hafithoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena hum lifuroo jihim haafizoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And who guard their modesty - |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Who abstain from sex, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And they who guard their private parts |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who safeguarded their private parts by keeping them far from fornication, homosexuality and shameful actions; so they remained pure and chaste. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और जो अपने गुप्तांगों की रक्षा करते है- |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जो (अपनी) शर्मगाहों को (हराम से) बचाते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो अपने गुप्तांगों को व्यभिचार,समलैंगिकता और अश्लीलता से दूर रखकर उनकी रक्षा करने वाले हैं। चुनाँचे वे पवित्र और पाक-बाज़ हैं। |
| Ayah 6 |
| عَرَبِي | إِلّا عَلىٰ أَزواجِهِم أَو ما مَلَكَت أَيمانُهُم فَإِنَّهُم غَيرُ مَلومينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Illa AAala azwajihim aw ma malakat aymanuhum fainnahum ghayru maloomeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Illaa 'alaaa azwaajihim aw maa malakat aimaanuhum fa innahum ghairu maloomeen |
| English (Pickthall) | Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Except using them with their wives or the female servants they possessed, for they are blameless in taking pleasure from them through sexual intercourse and the like. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | सिवाय इस सूरत के कि अपनी पत्नि यों या लौंडियों के पास जाएँ कि इसपर वे निन्दनीय नहीं है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | मगर अपनी बीबियों से या अपनी ज़र ख़रीद लौनडियों से कि उन पर हरगिज़ इल्ज़ाम नहीं हो सकता |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | परंतु अपनी पत्नियों या अपने स्वामित्व में आई हुई दासियों को छोड़कर। क्योंकि उनसे संभोग और अन्य चीजों के साथ लाभ उठाने में उनकी निंदा नहीं की जा सकती। |
| Ayah 7 |
| عَرَبِي | فَمَنِ ابتَغىٰ وَراءَ ذٰلِكَ فَأُولٰئِكَ هُمُ العادونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Famani ibtagha waraa thalika faolaika humu alAAadoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Famanib taghaa waraaa'a zaalika fa ulaaa'ika humul 'aadoon |
| English (Pickthall) | But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So whosoever seeks pleasure from other than his wives and female servants that he possesses, he is transgressing the limits of Allah by delving into that which Allah has forbidden, without keeping to that which He has kept lawful. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | परन्तु जो कोई इसके अतिरिक्त कुछ और चाहे तो ऐसे ही लोग सीमा उल्लंघन करनेवाले है।- |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | पस जो शख्स उसके सिवा किसी और तरीके से शहवत परस्ती की तमन्ना करे तो ऐसे ही लोग हद से बढ़ जाने वाले हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो व्यक्ति पत्नियों या अपने स्वामित्व में आई दासियों के अलावा के साथ आनंद (भोग) की तलाश करे, तो वह अल्लाह की सीमाओं को उल्लंघन करने वाला है। क्योंकि वह अल्लाह के हलाल ठहराए हुए आनंद (भोग) से परे जाकर हराम (भोग) की तलाश करने वाला है। |
| Ayah 8 |
| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ هُم لِأَماناتِهِم وَعَهدِهِم راعونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena hum liamanatihim waAAahdihim raAAoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena hum li amaanaatihim wa 'ahdihim raa'oon |
| English (Pickthall) | And who are shepherds of their pledge and their covenant, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who faithfully observe their trusts and their covenants; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who fulfil and do not neglect or usurp the trusts Allah has entrusted them with, or any of His servants have entrusted them with. Rather, they keep to their pacts. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और जो अपनी अमानतों और अपनी प्रतिज्ञा का ध्यान रखते है; |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जो अपनी अमानतों और अपने एहद का लिहाज़ रखते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और जो उस अमानत की, जो अल्लाह ने उन्हें सौंपी है या उसके बंदों ने उनके हवाले की है, तथा अपनी प्रतिज्ञाओं की रक्षा करने वाले हैं। उन्हें नष्ट नहीं करते हैं, बल्कि उन्हें पूरा करते हैं। |
| Ayah 9 |
| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ هُم عَلىٰ صَلَواتِهِم يُحافِظونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena hum AAala salawatihim yuhafithoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena hum 'alaa Salawaatihim yuhaafizoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And who pay heed to their prayers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And who (strictly) guard their prayers;- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And they who carefully maintain their prayers - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who observe their prayers by being punctual in them, by performing them at their correct times together, obligations and preferred actions. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और जो अपनी नमाज़ों की रक्षा करते हैं; |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जो अपनी नमाज़ों की पाबन्दी करते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो लोग अपनी नामज़ों को उनके अरकान (स्तंभों) वाजिबात (अनिवार्य कार्यों) और मुस्तहब्बात (वांछित कार्यों) के साथ, उनके समय पर नियमित रूप से अदा करके, उनकी रक्षा करते हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | أُولٰئِكَ هُمُ الوارِثونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Olaika humu alwarithoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ulaaa'ika humul waarisoon |
| English (Pickthall) | These are the heirs |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | These will be the heirs, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Those are the inheritors |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those possessing these characteristics are the true inheritors. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वही वारिस होने वाले है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (आदमी की औलाद में) यही लोग सच्चे वारिस है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | इन गुणों से सुसज्जित लोग ही हैं, जो वारिस होंगे। |
| Ayah 11 |
| عَرَبِي | الَّذينَ يَرِثونَ الفِردَوسَ هُم فيها خالِدونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Allatheena yarithoona alfirdawsa hum feeha khalidoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Allazeena yarisoonal Firdawsa hum feehaa khaalidoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Who will inherit paradise. There they will abide. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They will inherit the loftiest level of paradise wherein they will live forever. Their bounties will not finish in it. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जो फ़िरदौस की विरासत पाएँगे। वे उसमें सदैव रहेंगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जो बेहश्त बरी का हिस्सा लेंगे (और) यही लोग इसमें हमेशा (जिन्दा) रहेंगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो सबसे ऊँची जन्नत के वारिस होंगे, वे उसमें हमेशा के लिए रहेंगे। उसमें उन्हें जो नेमतें प्राप्त होंगी, उनका सिलसिला कभी नहीं रुकेगा। |
| Ayah 12 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَقَد خَلَقنَا الإِنسانَ مِن سُلالَةٍ مِن طينٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaqad khalaqna alinsana min sulalatin min teenin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laqad khalaqnal insaana min sulaalatim minteen |
| English (Pickthall) | Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Verily, I created the father of mankind, Adam, from clay. I took the soil he was created from, from a mixture of water and the soil of the earth. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | हमने मनुष्य को मिट्टी के सत से बनाया |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और हमने आदमी को गीली मिट्टी के जौहर से पैदा किया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निश्चय हमने मानव जाति के पिता आदम को मिट्टी से पैदा किया। उनकी मिट्टी पृथ्वी की मिट्टी के साथ मिश्रित पानी से निकाले गए सार से ली गई थी। |
| Ayah 13 |
| عَرَبِي | ثُمَّ جَعَلناهُ نُطفَةً في قَرارٍ مَكينٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Thumma jaAAalnahu nutfatan fee qararin makeenin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Summa ja'alnaahu nutfatan fee qaraarim makeen |
| English (Pickthall) | Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Then I created his progeny who procreate, by way of a drop of sperm that lodges in the womb until birth. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | फिर हमने उसे एक सुरक्षित ठहरने की जगह टपकी हुई बूँद बनाकर रखा |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | फिर हमने उसको एक महफूज़ जगह (औरत के रहम में) नुत्फ़ा बना कर रखा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर हमने उनकी संतान को वीर्य से पैदा किया, जो जन्म के समय तक माँ के गर्भाशय में सुरक्षित रहता है। |
| Ayah 14 |
| عَرَبِي | ثُمَّ خَلَقنَا النُّطفَةَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقنَا العَلَقَةَ مُضغَةً فَخَلَقنَا المُضغَةَ عِظامًا فَكَسَونَا العِظامَ لَحمًا ثُمَّ أَنشَأناهُ خَلقًا آخَرَ ۚ فَتَبارَكَ اللَّهُ أَحسَنُ الخالِقينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Thumma khalaqna alnnutfata AAalaqatan fakhalaqna alAAalaqata mudghatan fakhalaqna almudghata AAithaman fakasawna alAAithama lahman thumma anshanahu khalqan akhara fatabaraka Allahu ahsanu alkhaliqeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Summa khalaqnan nutfata 'alaqatan fakhalaqnal 'alaqata mudghatan fakhalaq nal mudghata 'izaaman fakasawnal 'izaama lahman summa anshaanaahu khalqan aakhar; fatabaarakal laahu ahsanul khaaliqeen |
| English (Pickthall) | Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Then We made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump [of flesh], and We made [from] the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I then created the lodged drop of sperm into a red clot of blood, which I then created into a piece of flesh, which I then created into hard bones. I then covered those bones with flesh and then developed it into a completely different creation, by blowing a soul into it and bringing it out into life. Praised is Allah, the best of creators! |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | फिर हमने उस बूँद को लोथड़े का रूप दिया; फिर हमने उस लोथड़े को बोटी का रूप दिया; फिर हमने उन हड्डियों पर मांस चढाया; फिर हमने उसे एक दूसरा ही सर्जन रूप देकर खड़ा किया। अतः बहुत ही बरकतवाला है अल्लाह, सबसे उत्तम स्रष्टा! |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | फिर हम ही ने नुतफ़े को जमा हुआ ख़ून बनाया फिर हम ही ने मुनजमिद खून को गोश्त का लोथड़ा बनाया हम ही ने लोथडे क़ी हड्डियाँ बनायीं फिर हम ही ने हड्डियों पर गोश्त चढ़ाया फिर हम ही ने उसको (रुह डालकर) एक दूसरी सूरत में पैदा किया तो (सुबहान अल्लाह) ख़ुदा बा बरकत है जो सब बनाने वालो से बेहतर है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर हमने उसके बाद माँ के गर्भाशय में सुरक्षित उस वीर्य को जमे हुए लाल रक्त का रूप दिया, फिर उस जमे हुए लाल रक्त को मांस के एक चबाए हुए टुकड़े के रूप में बनाया, फिर माँस के उस टुकड़े को कठोर हड्डियों का रूप दे दिया, फिर उन हड्डियों को माँस पहना दिया, फिर हमने उसमें प्राण डालकर और जीवन में लाकर एक और रचना बना दिया। तो बहुत बरकत वाला है अल्लाह, जो बनाने वालों में सबसे अच्छा है। |
| Ayah 15 |
| عَرَبِي | ثُمَّ إِنَّكُم بَعدَ ذٰلِكَ لَمَيِّتونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Thumma innakum baAAda thalika lamayyitoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Summa innakum ba'da zaalika la maaiyitoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Then lo! after that ye surely die. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | After that, at length ye will die |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Then indeed, after that you are to die. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O people! After having passed through all these phases, you shall die when your lives expire. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | फिर तुम अवश्य मरनेवाले हो |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | फिर इसके बाद यक़ीनन तुम सब लोगों को (एक न एक दिन) मरना है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर तुम (ऐ लोगो!) उन चरणों से गुज़रने के बाद, अपना निर्धारित समय समाप्त होने पर मर जाओगे। |
| Ayah 16 |
| عَرَبِي | ثُمَّ إِنَّكُم يَومَ القِيامَةِ تُبعَثونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Thumma innakum yawma alqiyamati tubAAathoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Summa innakum Yawmal Qiyaamati tub'asoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Then, after your death, you shall be resurrected from your graves on the Day of Judgment so that you may be held to account for whatever deeds you sent forth. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | फिर क़ियामत के दिन तुम निश्चय ही उठाए जाओगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | इसके बाद कयामत के दिन तुम सब के सब कब्रों से उठाए जाओगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर तुम अपनी मृत्यु के बाद क़ियामत के दिन अपनी क़ब्रों से उठाए जाओगे, ताकि तुमसे तुम्हारे किए हुए काम का हिसाब लिया जाए। |
| Ayah 17 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَقَد خَلَقنا فَوقَكُم سَبعَ طَرائِقَ وَما كُنّا عَنِ الخَلقِ غافِلينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaqad khalaqna fawqakum sabAAa taraiqa wama kunna AAani alkhalqi ghafileena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laqad khalaqnaa fawqakum sab'a taraaa'iqa wa maa kunnaa 'anil khalqi ghaafileen |
| English (Pickthall) | And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O people! Verily, I created seven heavens over you, one above the other. I am never neglectful of My creation, nor am I One to forget it. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और हमने तुम्हारे ऊपर सात रास्ते बनाए है। और हम सृष्टि-कार्य से ग़ाफ़िल नहीं |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और हम ही ने तुम्हारे ऊपर तह ब तह आसमान बनाए और हम मख़लूक़ात से बेखबर नही है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और हमने (ऐ लोगो!) तुम्हारे ऊपर, ऊपर-तले, सात आकाश बनाए, और हम कभी अपनी सृष्टि से अनजान नहीं, और न ही उसे भूले हैं। |
| Ayah 18 |
| عَرَبِي | وَأَنزَلنا مِنَ السَّماءِ ماءً بِقَدَرٍ فَأَسكَنّاهُ فِي الأَرضِ ۖ وَإِنّا عَلىٰ ذَهابٍ بِهِ لَقادِرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waanzalna mina alssamai maan biqadarin faaskannahu fee alardi wainna AAala thahabin bihi laqadiroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa anzalnaa minas samaaa'i maaa'am biqadarin fa-askannaahu fil ardi wa innaa 'alaa zahaabim bihee laqaa diroon |
| English (Pickthall) | And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I sent down rain from the heavens according to the need toward it; not in excessive amounts that cause ruin, nor too little that is insufficient. I allow it to settle on earth so that the people and animals can take benefit from it. Otherwise, I am capable of causing it to wash away, in which case they would not be able to benefit from it. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हमने आकाश से आवश्यकता अनुसार बारिश का पानी उतारा, न अधिक कि आपदा का रूप धारण कर ले, न कम कि ज़रूरत के लिए भी पर्याप्त न हो। फिर हमने उस पानी को धरती में ठहरा दिया, जिससे मनुष्य और पशु लाभ उठाते हैं। और निश्चय हम उसे ले जाने में भी सक्षम हैं। फिर तुम उससे लाभ न उठा सकोगे। |

| عَرَبِي | فَأَنشَأنا لَكُم بِهِ جَنّاتٍ مِن نَخيلٍ وَأَعنابٍ لَكُم فيها فَواكِهُ كَثيرَةٌ وَمِنها تَأكُلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faanshana lakum bihi jannatin min nakheelin waaAAnabin lakum feeha fawakihu katheeratun waminha takuloona |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Washajaratan takhruju min toori saynaa tanbutu bialdduhni wasibghin lilakileena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa shajaratan takhruju min Toori Sainaaa'a tambutu bidduhni wa sibghil lil aakileen |
| English (Pickthall) | And a tree that springeth forth from Mount Sinai that groweth oil and relish for the eaters. |

Indeed, you have a lesson to take from grazing livestock (camels, cows and sheep), in that you can draw conclusions from them in the power of Allah and His kindness to you. He quenches your thirst with pure, tasty milk from the bellies of these animals. You can also derive other benefits from them, like conveyance, wool, fur, bristles, together with being able to consume their meat. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निःसंदेह (ऐ लोगो!) तुम्हारे लिए पशुओं (ऊँट, गाय और बकरी) में एक बड़ी शिक्षा एवं संकेत है, जिससे तुम अल्लाह की शक्ति और अपने ऊपर उसकी दयालुता का पता लगा सकते हो। हम तुम्हें इन पशुओं के पेटों में जो कुछ है, उससे शुद्ध दूध पिलाते हैं, जो पीने वालों के लिए सुस्वाद है। तथा तुम्हारे लिए इनमें और भी बहुत-से लाभ हैं जिनसे तुम लाभ उठाते हो, जैसे- सवारी, ऊन, रोवां और बाल। तथा तुम इनका माँस भी खाते हो। |

| عَرَبِي | وَلَقَد أَرسَلنا نوحًا إِلىٰ قَومِهِ فَقالَ يا قَومِ اعبُدُوا اللَّهَ ما لَكُم مِن إِلٰهٍ غَيرُهُ ۖ أَفَلا تَتَّقونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaqad arsalna noohan ila qawmihi faqala ya qawmi oAAbudoo Allaha ma lakum min ilahin ghayruhu afala tattaqoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laqad arsalnaa Noohan ilaa qawmihee faqaala yaa qawmi'budul laaha maa lakum min ilahin ghairuhoo afalaa tattaqoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And We verily sent Noah unto his folk, and he said: O my people! Serve Allah. Ye have no other Allah save Him. Will ye not ward off (evil)? |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हमने नूह अलैहिस्सलाम को उनकी जाति के पास, उनको अल्लाह की ओर बुलाने के लिए भेजा। तो नूह (अलैहिस्सलाम) ने उनसे कहा : ऐ मेरी जाति के लोगो! अकेले अल्लाह की इबादत (पूजा) करो। उस पवित्र हस्ती के सिवा तुम्हारा कोई सत्य पूज्य नहीं। क्या तुम अल्लाह से, उसके आदेशों का पालन करके और उसके निषेधों से बचकर, डरते नहीं?! |
| Ayah 24 |
| عَرَبِي | فَقالَ المَلَأُ الَّذينَ كَفَروا مِن قَومِهِ ما هٰذا إِلّا بَشَرٌ مِثلُكُم يُريدُ أَن يَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيكُم وَلَو شاءَ اللَّهُ لَأَنزَلَ مَلائِكَةً ما سَمِعنا بِهٰذا في آبائِنَا الأَوَّلينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faqala almalao allatheena kafaroo min qawmihi ma hatha illa basharun mithlukum yureedu an yatafaddala AAalaykum walaw shaa Allahu laanzala malaikatan ma samiAAna bihatha fee abaina alawwaleena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Faqaalal mala'ul lazeena kafaroo min qawmihee maa haazaaa illaa basharum mislukum yureedu ai yatafaddala 'alaikum wa law shaaa'al laahu la anzala malaaa'ikatam maa sami'naa bihaazaa feee aabaaa'inal awwaleen |
| English (Pickthall) | But the chieftains of his folk, who disbelieved, said: This is only a mortal like you who would make himself superior to you. Had Allah willed, He surely could have sent down angels. We heard not of this in the case of our fathers of old. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The chiefs of the Unbelievers among his people said: "He is no more than a man like yourselves: his wish is to assert his superiority over you: if Allah had wished (to send messengers), He could have sent down angels; never did we hear such a thing (as he says), among our ancestors of old." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But the eminent among those who disbelieved from his people said, "This is not but a man like yourselves who wishes to take precedence over you; and if Allah had willed [to send a messenger], He would have sent down angels. | English (Abridged Expl.) | So the noblemen and leaders from his people who disbelieved in Allah said to their followers and the masses, “This man that claims to be a messenger is only a human like yourselves; he only desires leadership and rule over you. If Allah wished to send a messenger to you He would have done so by sending one from the angels, not from the humans. We have not heard anything like what he is claiming from our predecessors!” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | इसपर उनकी क़ौम के सरदार, जिन्होंने इनकार किया था, कहने लगे, "यह तो बस तुम्हीं जैसा एक मनुष्य है। चाहता है कि तुमपर श्रेष्ठता प्राप्त करे।""अल्लाह यदि चाहता तो फ़रिश्ते उतार देता। यह बात तो हमने अपने अगले बाप-दादा के समयों से सुनी ही नहीं |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो उनकी क़ौम के सरदारों ने जो काफिर थे कहा कि ये भी तो बस (आख़िर) तुम्हारे ही सा आदमी है (मगर) इसकी तमन्ना ये है कि तुम पर बुर्जुगी हासिल करे और अगर खुदा (पैग़म्बर ही न भेजना) चाहता तो फरिश्तों को नाज़िल करता हम ने तो (भाई) ऐसी बात अपने अगले बाप दादाओं में (भी होती) नहीं सुनी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तो उनकी जाति के अशराफिया एवं प्रमुख लोगों ने, जिन्होंने अल्लाह का इनकार किया था, अपने अनुयायियों और आम लोगों से कहा : यह आदमी, जो रसूल होने का दावा करता है, तुम्हारे ही जैसा एक इनसान है, जो तुमपर सरदारी और संप्रभुता चाहता है। अगर अल्लाह हमारे पास कोई रसूल भेजना चाहता, तो अवश्य उसे फ़रिश्तों में से भेजता, उसे मनुष्यों में से नहीं भेजता। हमने अपने पहले के पूर्वजों में इस प्रकार की दावेदारी नहीं सुनी। |
| Ayah 25 |
| عَرَبِي | إِن هُوَ إِلّا رَجُلٌ بِهِ جِنَّةٌ فَتَرَبَّصوا بِهِ حَتّىٰ حينٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | In huwa illa rajulun bihi jinnatun fatarabbasoo bihi hatta heenin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | In huwa illaa rajulum bihee jinnatun fatarabbasoo bihee hattan heen |
| English (Pickthall) | He is only a man in whom is a madness, so watch him for a while. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | (And some said): "He is only a man possessed: wait (and have patience) with him for a time." |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | यह एक ऐसा व्यक्ति है, जो पागलपन का शिकार है। यह क्या कह रहा है, उसके बारे में इसे खुद पता नहीं है। इसलिए जब तक इसका मामला लोगों के लिए स्पष्ट नहीं हो जाता है, तब तक इसके बारे में प्रतीक्षा करो। |

| عَرَبِي | قالَ رَبِّ انصُرني بِما كَذَّبونِ |

| عَرَبِي | فَأَوحَينا إِلَيهِ أَنِ اصنَعِ الفُلكَ بِأَعيُنِنا وَوَحيِنا فَإِذا جاءَ أَمرُنا وَفارَ التَّنّورُ ۙ فَاسلُك فيها مِن كُلٍّ زَوجَينِ اثنَينِ وَأَهلَكَ إِلّا مَن سَبَقَ عَلَيهِ القَولُ مِنهُم ۖ وَلا تُخاطِبني فِي الَّذينَ ظَلَموا ۖ إِنَّهُم مُغرَقونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faawhayna ilayhi ani isnaAAi alfulka biaAAyunina wawahyina faitha jaa amruna wafara alttannooru faosluk feeha min kullin zawjayni ithnayni waahlaka illa man sabaqa AAalayhi alqawlu minhum wala tukhatibnee fee allatheena thalamoo innahum mughraqoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa awhainaaa ilaihi anis na'il fulka bi a'yuninaa wa wahyinaa fa izaa jaaa'a amrunaa wa faarat tannooru fasluk feehaa min kullin zawjainis naini wa ahlaka illaa man sabaqa 'alaihil qawlu minhum wa laa tukhaat ibnee fil lazeena zalamooo innaahum mughraqoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Then We inspired in him, saying: Make the ship under Our eyes and Our inspiration. Then, when Our command cometh and the oven gusheth water, introduce therein of every (kind) two spouses, and thy household save him thereof against whom the Word hath already gone forth. And plead not with Me on behalf of those who have done wrong. Lo! they will be drowned. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | So We inspired him (with this message): "Construct the Ark within Our sight and under Our guidance: then when comes Our Command, and the fountains of the earth gush forth, take thou on board pairs of every species, male and female, and thy family- except those of them against whom the Word has already gone forth: And address Me not in favour of the wrong-doers; for they shall be drowned (in the Flood). |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | So I revealed to him: Make a ship under My supervision and tutorage. Then, when My command to destroy them is issued and water gushes forth from the place where bread is baked, start taking a male and female from every living species onto the ship, so that they can procreate and not become extinct. Also take your family on board, except for those upon whom Allah’s decree of destruction has been passed i.e. your wife and son. Do not request Me to save and not destroy those who have wronged through disbelief; there is no doubt they shall be destroyed by drowning in the water of the flood. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | तब हमने उसकी ओर प्रकाशना की कि "हमारी आँखों के सामने और हमारी प्रकाशना के अनुसार नौका बना और फिर जब हमारा आदेश आ जाए और तूफ़ान उमड़ पड़े तो प्रत्येक प्रजाति में से एक-एक जोड़ा उसमें रख ले और अपने लोगों को भी, सिवाय उनके जिनके विरुद्ध पहले फ़ैसला हो चुका है। और अत्याचारियों के विषय में मुझसे बात न करना। वे तो डूबकर रहेंगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | इस वजह से कि उन लोगों ने मुझे झुठला दिया तो हमने नूह के पास 'वही' भेजी कि तुम हमारे सामने हमारे हुक्म के मुताबिक़ कश्ती बनाना शुरु करो फिर जब कल हमारा अज़ाब आ जाए और तन्नूर (से पानी) उबलने लगे तो तुम उसमें हर किस्म (के जानवरों में) से (नर मादा) दो दो का जोड़ा और अपने लड़के बालों को बिठा लो मगर उन में से जिसकी निस्बत (ग़रक़ होने का) पहले से हमारा हुक्म हो चुका है (उन्हें छोड़ दो) और जिन लोगों ने (हमारे हुकम से) सरकशी की है उनके बारे में मुझसे कुछ कहना (सुनना) नहीं क्योंकि ये लोग यकीनन डूबने वाले है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हमने नूह़ (अलैहिस्सलाम) को सूचना दी कि हमारी आँखों के सामने और हमारे बताए हुए तरीक़े के अनुसार नौका बना। फिर जब उन्हें नष्ट करने का हमारा आदेश आ जाए और पानी उस स्थान से ज़ोर से उबलने लगे, जिसमें रोटी पकाई जाती है, तो हर जीव में से एक नर और एक मादा उस (नौका) में प्रवेश कर ले, ताकि नस्ल चलती रहे, और अपने परिवार वालों को भी उसमें सवार कर ले, उसको छोड़कर जिसके विनाश की बात अल्लाह की ओर से पहले ही तय हो चुकी, जैसे कि तेरी पत्नी और तेरा पुत्र। और मुझसे उन लोगों की मुक्ति और उन्हें विनाश से बचाने के बारे में बात न करना, जिन्होंने कुफ़्र करके अत्याचार किया है। वे - अनिवार्य रूप से - बाढ़ के पानी में डूबने के द्वारा विनष्ट किए जाने वाले हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | فَإِذَا استَوَيتَ أَنتَ وَمَن مَعَكَ عَلَى الفُلكِ فَقُلِ الحَمدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذي نَجّانا مِنَ القَومِ الظّالِمينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faitha istawayta anta waman maAAaka AAala alfulki faquli alhamdu lillahi allathee najjana mina alqawmi alththalimeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa izas tawaita ata wa mam ma'aka 'alal fulki faqulil hamdu lillaahil lazee najjaanaa minal qawmiz zalimeen |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर जब तुम और तुम्हारे मुक्ति पाने वाले मोमिन साथी नाव पर सवार हो जाएँ, तो कहो : सब प्रशंसा अल्लाह के लिए है, जिसने हमें काफ़िर लोगों से बचाया और उन्हें नष्ट कर दिया। |

| عَرَبِي | وَقُل رَبِّ أَنزِلني مُنزَلًا مُبارَكًا وَأَنتَ خَيرُ المُنزِلينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waqul rabbi anzilnee munzalan mubarakan waanta khayru almunzileena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa qur Rabbi anzilnee munzalam mubaarakanw wa Anta khairul munzileen |
| English (Pickthall) | And say: My Lord! Cause me to land at a blessed landing-place, for Thou art Best of all who bring to land. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And say: "O my Lord! enable me to disembark with thy blessing: for Thou art the Best to enable (us) to disembark." |

| Ayah 30 |
| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ في ذٰلِكَ لَآياتٍ وَإِن كُنّا لَمُبتَلينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna fee thalika laayatin wain kunna lamubtaleena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Inna fee zaalika la Aayaatinw wa in kunnaa lamubtaleen |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! herein verily are portents, for lo! We are ever putting (mankind) to the test. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Verily in this there are Signs (for men to understand); (thus) do We try (men). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed in that are signs, and indeed, We are ever testing [Our servants]. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Indeed, in the aforementioned, i.e. saving Noah and the believers with him, and destroying the disbelievers, are great signs of My ability to help My messengers and destroy their rejecters. I had tested the people of Noah by sending him to them, so that the believers and disbelievers, the obedient and sinners become distinct. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | नूह़ (अलैहिस्सलाम) और उनके मोमिन साथियों को बचाने और काफ़िरों को विनष्ट करने में इस बात के स्पष्ट प्रमाण हैं कि हम अपने रसूलों की मदद करने और उन्हें झुठलाने वालों को नष्ट करने की शक्ति रखते हैं। निश्चय हम नूह अलैहिस्सलाम की जाति की ओर नूह़ अलैहिल्लाम को भेजकर उनका परीक्षण करने वाले थे, ताकि काफ़िर से मोमिन और अवज्ञाकारी से आज्ञाकारी स्पष्ट हो जाए। |

| عَرَبِي | ثُمَّ أَنشَأنا مِن بَعدِهِم قَرنًا آخَرينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Thumma anshana min baAAdihim qarnan akhareena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Summaa anshaana mim ba'dihim qarnan aakhareen |
| English (Pickthall) | Then, after them, We brought forth another generation; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Then We raised after them another generation. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Then We produced after them a generation of others. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Thereafter, I created a different generation of people after destroying the people of Noah. They were the Ād, the people of Hud (peace be upon him). |

| عَرَبِي | فَأَرسَلنا فيهِم رَسولًا مِنهُم أَنِ اعبُدُوا اللَّهَ ما لَكُم مِن إِلٰهٍ غَيرُهُ ۖ أَفَلا تَتَّقونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faarsalna feehim rasoolan minhum ani oAAbudoo Allaha ma lakum min ilahin ghayruhu afala tattaqoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa arsalnaa feehim Rasoolam minhum ani'budul laaha maa lakum min ilaahin ghairuhoo afalaa tattaqoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And we sent among them a messenger of their own, saying: Serve Allah, Ye have no other Allah save Him. Will ye not ward off (evil)? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And We sent to them a messenger from among themselves, (saying), "Worship Allah! ye have no other god but Him. Will ye not fear (Him)?" |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और हमने उनही में से (एक आदमी सालेह को) रसूल बनाकर उन लोगों में भेजा (और उन्होंने अपनी क़ौम से कहा) कि खुदा की इबादत करो उसके सिवा कोई तुम्हारा माबूद नहीं तो क्या तुम (उससे डरते नही हो) |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तो हमने उनके अंदर उन्हीं में से एक रसूल भेजा, ताकि उन्हें अल्लाह की ओर बुलाए। चुनाँचे उसने उनसे कहा : अकेले अल्लाह की इबादत करो। उस महिमावान के अलावा तुम्हारा कोई सत्य पूज्य नहीं। तो क्या तुम अल्लाह के निषेधों से बचकर और उसके आदेशों का पालन करके उससे नहीं डरते? |

| عَرَبِي | وَقالَ المَلَأُ مِن قَومِهِ الَّذينَ كَفَروا وَكَذَّبوا بِلِقاءِ الآخِرَةِ وَأَترَفناهُم فِي الحَياةِ الدُّنيا ما هٰذا إِلّا بَشَرٌ مِثلُكُم يَأكُلُ مِمّا تَأكُلونَ مِنهُ وَيَشرَبُ مِمّا تَشرَبونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waqala almalao min qawmihi allatheena kafaroo wakaththaboo biliqai alakhirati waatrafnahum fee alhayati alddunya ma hatha illa basharun mithlukum yakulu mimma takuloona minhu wayashrabu mimma tashraboona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa qaalal mala-u min qawmihil lazeena kafaroo wa kazzaboo bi liqaaa'il Aakhirati wa atrafnaahum fil hayaatid dunyaa maa haazaaa illaa basharum mislukum yaakulu mimmaa taakuloona minhu wa yashrabu mimmaa tashraboon |
| English (Pickthall) | And the chieftains of his folk, who disbelieved and denied the meeting of the Hereafter, and whom We had made soft in the life of the world, said: This is only a mortal like you, who eateth of that whereof ye eat and drinketh of that ye drink. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And the chiefs of his people, who disbelieved and denied the Meeting in the Hereafter, and on whom We had bestowed the good things of this life, said: "He is no more than a man like yourselves: he eats of that of which ye eat, and drinks of what ye drink. |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | The noblemen and leaders from his people who disbelieved in Allah, rejected the Hereafter and the punishment and reward to be meted out in it, and were misled by the blessings I had granted them in the world, said to their followers and masses, “This is a human just like you are: he eats of the food you eat and drinks of the drinks you drink. He does not have any superiority over you such that he would be sent as a messenger to you!” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उसकी क़ौम के सरदार, जिन्होंने इनकार किया और आख़िरत के मिलन को झूठलाया और जिन्हें हमने सांसारिक जीवन में सुख प्रदान किया था, कहने लगे, "यह तो बस तुम्हीं जैसा एक मनुष्य है। जो कुछ तुम खाते हो, वही यह भी खाता है और जो कुछ तुम पीते हो, वही यह भी पीता है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और उनकी क़ौम के चन्द सरदारों ने जो काफिर थे और (रोज़) आख़िरत की हाज़िरी को भी झुठलाते थे और दुनिया की (चन्द रोज़ा) ज़िन्दगी में हमने उन्हें शहवत भी दे रखी थी आपस में कहने लगे (अरे) ये तो बस तुम्हारा ही सा आदमी है जो चीज़े तुम खाते वही ये भी खाता है और जो चीज़े तुम पीते हो उन्हीं में से ये भी पीता है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उसकी जाति के अशराफिया एवं प्रमुख लोग, जिन्होंने अल्लाह का इनकार किया, आख़िरत तथा उसके इनाम और सज़ा को झुठलाया, और सांसारिक जीवन में हमारी दी हुई विस्तृत नेमतों ने उन्हें सरकश बना दिया था, उन्होंने अपने अनुयायियों और आम लोगों से कहा : यह तो तुम्हारे ही जैसा एक इनसान है। जो वही कुछ खाता और पीता है, जो कुछ तुम खाते और पीते हो। इसलिए इसे तुम्हारे ऊपर कोई विशिष्टता प्राप्त नहीं है कि वह तुम्हारी ओर रसूल बनाकर भेजा जाए। |

| عَرَبِي | وَلَئِن أَطَعتُم بَشَرًا مِثلَكُم إِنَّكُم إِذًا لَخاسِرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walain ataAAtum basharan mithlakum innakum ithan lakhasiroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa la'in at'atum basharam mislakum innakum izal lakhaasiroon |
| English (Pickthall) | If ye were to obey a mortal like yourselves, then, lo! ye surely would be losers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "If ye obey a man like yourselves, behold, it is certain ye will be lost. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And if you should obey a man like yourselves, indeed, you would then be losers. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | “And if you were to follow a human just like you, you would indeed have been deceived into leaving aside your deities and following one who has no virtue over you.” |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अगर तुमने अपने ही जैसे एक इनसान की बात मान ली, तो निश्चय तुम उस समय अवश्य घाटा उठाने वाले होगे, क्योंकि तुम्हें उसकी आज्ञाकारिता से कोई लाभ नहीं होगा। इसलिए कि तुमने अपने देवताओं को छोड़कर, ऐसे व्यक्ति का अनुसरण किया, जिसको तुमपर कोई विशेषता प्राप्त नहीं है। |

| عَرَبِي | أَيَعِدُكُم أَنَّكُم إِذا مِتُّم وَكُنتُم تُرابًا وَعِظامًا أَنَّكُم مُخرَجونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | AyaAAidukum annakum itha mittum wakuntum turaban waAAithaman annakum mukhrajoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | A-Ya'idukum annakum izaa mittum wa kuntum turaabanw wa izaaman annakum mukhrajoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Doth he promise you that you, when ye are dead and have become dust and bones, will (again) be brought forth? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "Does he promise that when ye die and become dust and bones, ye shall be brought forth (again)? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Does he promise you that when you have died and become dust and bones that you will be brought forth [once more]? |

| عَرَبِي | ۞ هَيهاتَ هَيهاتَ لِما توعَدونَ |

| English (Pickthall) | Begone, begone, with that which ye are promised! |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | The promise you are being given in being taken out of your graves alive after you have died and turned into dust and decomposed bones, is very far from reality. |

| عَرَبِي | إِن هِيَ إِلّا حَياتُنَا الدُّنيا نَموتُ وَنَحيا وَما نَحنُ بِمَبعوثينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | In hiya illa hayatuna alddunya namootu wanahya wama nahnu bimabAAootheena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | In hiya illaa hayaatunad dunyaa namootu wa nahyaa wa maa nahnu bimab'ooseen |
| English (Pickthall) | There is naught but our life of the world; we die and we live, and we shall not be raised (again). |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "There is nothing but our life in this world! We shall die and we live! But we shall never be raised up again! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Life is not but our worldly life - we die and live, but we will not be resurrected. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The only life is the life of this world, not the afterlife. The living from among us die and are not revived, whilst others are born and live. We are not going to be taken out after we have died, to be taken to account on the Day of Judgment. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जीवन तो केवल इस संसार का जीवन है। आख़िरत का जीवन कुछ भी नहीं है। हम में से जीवित लोग मरते हैं और वे फिर से जीवित नहीं होते। तथा अन्य लोग जन्म लेते हैं और वे जीवित रहते हैं। और हम अपनी मौत के बाद क़ियामत के दिन हिसाब के लिए निकाले जाने वाले नहीं हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | إِن هُوَ إِلّا رَجُلٌ افتَرىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا وَما نَحنُ لَهُ بِمُؤمِنينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | In huwa illa rajulun iftara AAala Allahi kathiban wama nahnu lahu bimumineena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | In huwa illaa rajulunif taraa 'alal laahi kazibanw wa maa nahnuu lahoo bimu'mineen |
| English (Pickthall) | He is only a man who hath invented a lie about Allah. We are not going to put faith in him. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "He is only a man who invents a lie against Allah, but we are not the ones to believe in him!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | He is not but a man who has invented a lie about Allah, and we will not believe him." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Hud, who claims he is a messenger, has only fabricated a lie unto Allah by this claim of his; we are not going to believe him. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | यह जो तुम्हारे पास रसूल बनकर आने का दावा करता है, एक ऐसा व्यक्ति है जिसने अपना यह दावा करके अल्लाह पर एक झूठ गढ़ा है। और हम इसकी बातों पर विश्वास करने वाले नहीं हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | قالَ رَبِّ انصُرني بِما كَذَّبونِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qala rabbi onsurnee bima kaththabooni |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qaala Rabbin surnee bimaa kazzaboon |
| English (Pickthall) | He said: My Lord! Help me because they deny me. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | (The prophet) said: "O my Lord! help me: for that they accuse me of falsehood." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | He said, "My Lord, support me because they have denied me." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Hud said, “O my Lord! Help me against them and pay them back for their rejection and defiance!” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उसने कहा, "ऐ मेरे रब! उन्होंने जो मुझे झुठलाया, उसपर तू मेरी सहायता कर।" |

| عَرَبِي | قالَ عَمّا قَليلٍ لَيُصبِحُنَّ نادِمينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qala AAamma qaleelin layusbihunna nadimeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qaala 'ammaa qaleelil la yusbihunna naadimeen |
| English (Pickthall) | He said: In a little while they surely will become repentant. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | (Allah) said: "In but a little while, they are sure to be sorry!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [Allah] said, "After a little, they will surely become regretful." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Allah responded to him, saying, “Very soon, these people who have rejected the message you have brought to them will regret their rejection.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | कहा, "शीघ्र ही वे पछताकर रहेंगे।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | अनक़रीब ही ये लोग नादिम व परेशान हो जाएँगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तो अल्लाह ने उनका उत्तर यह कहकर दिया : थोड़े समय के बाद, आपके लाए हुए संदेश को झुठलाने वाले ये लोग, अपने झुठलाने के रवैये पर पछताएँगे। |

| عَرَبِي | فَأَخَذَتهُمُ الصَّيحَةُ بِالحَقِّ فَجَعَلناهُم غُثاءً ۚ فَبُعدًا لِلقَومِ الظّالِمينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faakhathathumu alssayhatu bialhaqqi fajaAAalnahum ghuthaan fabuAAdan lilqawmi alththalimeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa akhazat humus saihatu bilhaqqi faja'alnaahum ghusaaa'aa; fabu;dal lilqaw miz zaalimeen |
| English (Pickthall) | So the (Awful) Cry overtook them rightfully, and We made them like as wreckage (that a torrent hurleth). A far removal for wrongdoing folk! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Then the Blast overtook them with justice, and We made them as rubbish of dead leaves (floating on the stream of Time)! So away with the people who do wrong! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So the shriek seized them in truth, and We made them as [plant] stubble. Then away with the wrongdoing people. |

| عَرَبِي | ثُمَّ أَنشَأنا مِن بَعدِهِم قُرونًا آخَرينَ |

| عَرَبِي | ما تَسبِقُ مِن أُمَّةٍ أَجَلَها وَما يَستَأخِرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ma tasbiqu min ommatin ajalaha wama yastakhiroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Maa tasbiqu min ummatin ajalahaa wa maa yastaakhiroon |
| English (Pickthall) | No nation can outstrip its term, nor yet postpone it. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | No people can hasten their term, nor can they delay (it). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | No nation will precede its time [of termination], nor will they remain [thereafter]. |

| عَرَبِي | ثُمَّ أَرسَلنا رُسُلَنا تَترىٰ ۖ كُلَّ ما جاءَ أُمَّةً رَسولُها كَذَّبوهُ ۚ فَأَتبَعنا بَعضَهُم بَعضًا وَجَعَلناهُم أَحاديثَ ۚ فَبُعدًا لِقَومٍ لا يُؤمِنونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Thumma arsalna rusulana tatra kulla ma jaa ommatan rasooluha kaththaboohu faatbaAAna baAAdahum baAAdan wajaAAalnahum ahadeetha fabuAAdan liqawmin la yuminoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Summa arsalnaa Rusulanaa tatraa kulla maa jaaa'a ummatar Rasooluhaa kazzabooh; fa atba'naa ba'dahum ba'danw wa ja'alnaahum ahaadees; fabu'dal liqawmil laa yu'minoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Then We sent our messengers one after another. Whenever its messenger came unto a nation they denied him; so We caused them to follow one another (to disaster) and We made them bywords. A far removal for folk who believe not! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Then sent We our messengers in succession: every time there came to a people their messenger, they accused him of falsehood: so We made them follow each other (in punishment): We made them as a tale (that is told): So away with a people that will not believe! |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | फिर हमने लगातार बहुत से पैग़म्बर भेजे (मगर) जब जब किसी उम्मत का पैग़म्बर उन के पास आता तो ये लोग उसको झुठलाते थे तो हम थी (आगे पीछे) एक को दूसरे के बाद (हलाक) करते गए और हमने उन्हें (नेस्त व नाबूद करके) अफसाना बना दिया तो ईमान न लाने वालो पर ख़ुदा की लानत है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर हम लगातार एक के बाद एक रसूल भेजते रहे। जब भी उनमें से किसी समुदाय के पास अल्लाह का भेजा हुआ रसूल आया, तो उसके लोगों ने उसे झुठला दिया। तो हम उन्हें एक-दूसरे के पीछे विनष्ट करते गए। फिर उनके बारे में लोगों की बातचीत के अलावा उनका कोई वजूद बाक़ी न रहा। तो विनाश हो, ऐसे लोगों का जो रसूलों की अपने पालनहार की ओर से लाई हुई बातों पर ईमान नहीं लाते। |

| عَرَبِي | ثُمَّ أَرسَلنا موسىٰ وَأَخاهُ هارونَ بِآياتِنا وَسُلطانٍ مُبينٍ |

| عَرَبِي | إِلىٰ فِرعَونَ وَمَلَئِهِ فَاستَكبَروا وَكانوا قَومًا عالينَ |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ilaa Fir'awna wa mala'ihee fastakbaroo wa kaanoo qawman 'aaleem |
| English (Pickthall) | Unto Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they scorned (them) and they were despotic folk. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | To Pharaoh and his Chiefs: But these behaved insolently: they were an arrogant people. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | To Pharaoh and his establishment, but they were arrogant and were a haughty people. |

| عَرَبِي | فَقالوا أَنُؤمِنُ لِبَشَرَينِ مِثلِنا وَقَومُهُما لَنا عابِدونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faqaloo anuminu libasharayni mithlina waqawmuhuma lana AAabidoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Faqaaloo annu'minu libasharaini mislinaa wa qawmuhumaa lanaa 'aabidoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And they said: Shall we put faith in two mortals like ourselves, and whose folk are servile unto us? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They said: "Shall we believe in two men like ourselves? And their people are subject to us!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | They said, "Should we believe two men like ourselves while their people are for us in servitude?" |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So they said, “Should we believe two humans like us, who have no superiority over us and their tribe (the Israelites) are submissive and obedient to us?” |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तो उन्होंने कहा : क्या हम अपने जैसे दो व्यक्तियों पर ईमान ले आएँ, जिनकी हमारे ऊपर कोई उत्कृष्टता नहीं है और उनके लोग (बनी इसराईल) हमारे आज्ञाकारी और अधीन हैं?! |
| Ayah 48 |
| عَرَبِي | فَكَذَّبوهُما فَكانوا مِنَ المُهلَكينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fakaththaboohuma fakanoo mina almuhlakeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fakazzaboohumaa fakaanoo minal mmuhlakeen |
| English (Pickthall) | So they denied them, and became of those who were destroyed. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | So they accused them of falsehood, and they became of those who were destroyed. |

| عَرَبِي | وَلَقَد آتَينا موسَى الكِتابَ لَعَلَّهُم يَهتَدونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaqad atayna moosa alkitaba laAAallahum yahtadoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laqad aatainaa Moosal Kitaaba la'allahum yahtadoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And We verily gave Moses the Scripture, that haply they might go aright. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And We gave Moses the Book, in order that they might receive guidance. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We certainly gave Moses the Scripture that perhaps they would be guided. |

| عَرَبِي | وَجَعَلنَا ابنَ مَريَمَ وَأُمَّهُ آيَةً وَآوَيناهُما إِلىٰ رَبوَةٍ ذاتِ قَرارٍ وَمَعينٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | WajaAAalna ibna maryama waommahu ayatan waawaynahuma ila rabwatin thati qararin wamaAAeenin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa ja'alnab na Maryama wa ummahooo aayatannw wa aawainaahumaaa ilaa rabwatin zaati qaraarinw wa ma'een |
| English (Pickthall) | And We made the son of Mary and his mother a portent, and We gave them refuge on a height, a place of flocks and watersprings. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And We made the son of Mary and his mother as a Sign: We gave them both shelter on high ground, affording rest and security and furnished with springs. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हमने ईसा बिन मरयम और उनकी माँ मरयम को अपनी शक्ति को दर्शाने वाली एक निशानी बनाया। क्योंकि मरयम के पेट में ईसा का गर्भ बिना बाप के ठहर गया। और हमने उन दोनों को एक ऊँचे स्थान पर शरण दी, जो समतल, रहने के योग्य था तथा उसमें ताजा बहता पानी था। |

| عَرَبِي | يا أَيُّهَا الرُّسُلُ كُلوا مِنَ الطَّيِّباتِ وَاعمَلوا صالِحًا ۖ إِنّي بِما تَعمَلونَ عَليمٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ya ayyuha alrrusulu kuloo mina alttayyibati waiAAmaloo salihan innee bima taAAmaloona AAaleemun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yaaa aiyuhar Rusulu kuloo minat taiyibaati wa'maloo saalihan innee bimaa ta'maloona 'Aleem |
| English (Pickthall) | O ye messengers! Eat of the good things, and do right. Lo! I am Aware of what ye do. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ऐ रसूलो! जो खाने योग्य वस्तुएँ हमने तुम्हारे लिए हलाल की हैं, उनमें से खाओ और शरीयत के अनुसार अच्छे कार्य करो। तुम जो भी कार्य करते हो, मैं उससे अवगत हूँ। तुम्हारा कोई भी कार्य मुझसे छिपा नहीं है। |

| عَرَبِي | وَإِنَّ هٰذِهِ أُمَّتُكُم أُمَّةً واحِدَةً وَأَنا رَبُّكُم فَاتَّقونِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wainna hathihi ommatukum ommatan wahidatan waana rabbukum faittaqooni |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa inna haaziheee ummatukum ummatanw waahidatanw wa Ana Rabbukum fattaqoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And lo! this your religion is one religion and I am your Lord, so keep your duty unto Me. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And verily this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore fear Me (and no other). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me." |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूलो!) निश्चय तुम्हारा यह धर्म एक ही धर्म है, जो इस्लाम है। और मैं ही तुम्हारा पालनहार हूँ, मेरे अलावा तुम्हारा कोई पालनहार नहीं। अतः मेरे आदेशों का पालन करके और मेरे निषेधों से बचकर, मुझसे डरो। |
| Ayah 53 |
| عَرَبِي | فَتَقَطَّعوا أَمرَهُم بَينَهُم زُبُرًا ۖ كُلُّ حِزبٍ بِما لَدَيهِم فَرِحونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | FataqattaAAoo amrahum baynahum zuburan kullu hizbin bima ladayhim farihoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fataqatta'ooo amrahum bainahum zuburaa; kullu hizbim bimaa ladaihim farihoon |
| English (Pickthall) | But they (mankind) have broken their religion among them into sects, each group rejoicing in its tenets. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But people have cut off their affair (of unity), between them, into sects: each party rejoices in that which is with itself. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, in what it has, rejoicing. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | After they passed away, their followers were divided in religion and became sects and groups, with each group conceited in believing that whatever it believed in was the true acceptable religion according to Allah, disregarding the views of anyone else. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | किन्तु उन्होंने स्वयं अपने मामले (धर्म) को परस्पर टुकड़े-टुकड़े कर डाला। हर गिरोह उसी पर खुश है, जो कुछ उसके पास है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो बस मुझी से डरते रहो फिर लोगों ने अपने काम (में एख़तिलाफ करके उस) को टुकड़े टुकड़े कर डाला हर गिरो जो कुछ उसके पास है उसी में निहाल निहाल है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर उनके बाद, उनके अनुयायी धर्म में बिखराव का शिकार होकर, कई समूहों और दलों में विभाजित हो गए। हर दल उसी पर खुश है, जिसे वह यह मानता है कि वही अल्लाह के निकट पसंदीदा धर्म है, तथा जो कुछ उसके अलावा के पास है, उसपर ध्यान नहीं देता है। |
| Ayah 54 |
| عَرَبِي | فَذَرهُم في غَمرَتِهِم حَتّىٰ حينٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fatharhum fee ghamratihim hatta heenin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fazarhum fee ghamratihim hattaa heen |
| English (Pickthall) | So leave them in their error till a time. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But leave them in their confused ignorance for a time. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So leave them in their confusion for a time. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! Leave them in the ignorance and confusion they are in, until the punishment descends upon them. |

| عَرَبِي | أَيَحسَبونَ أَنَّما نُمِدُّهُم بِهِ مِن مالٍ وَبَنينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ayahsaboona annama numidduhum bihi min malin wabaneena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | A-yahsaboona annnamaa numiduhum bihee mimmaalinw wa baneen |
| English (Pickthall) | Think they that in the wealth and sons wherewith We provide them |

| عَرَبِي | نُسارِعُ لَهُم فِي الخَيراتِ ۚ بَل لا يَشعُرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | NusariAAu lahum fee alkhayrati bal la yashAAuroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Nusaari'u lahum fil khairaat; bal laa yash'uroon |
| English (Pickthall) | We hasten unto them with good things? Nay, but they perceive not. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Is [because] We hasten for them good things? Rather, they do not perceive. |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ الَّذينَ هُم مِن خَشيَةِ رَبِّهِم مُشفِقونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna allatheena hum min khashyati rabbihim mushfiqoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innal lazeena hum min khashyati Rabbihim mushfiqoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! those who go in awe for fear of their Lord. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Verily those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, they who are apprehensive from fear of their Lord |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Indeed, those who, despite their belief and good, are fearful of their Lord. |

| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ هُم بِآياتِ رَبِّهِم يُؤمِنونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena hum biayati rabbihim yuminoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena hum bi Aayaati Rabbihim yu'minoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And those who believe in the revelations of their Lord, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who believe in the Signs of their Lord; |

| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ هُم بِرَبِّهِم لا يُشرِكونَ |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena hum bi Rabbihim laa yushrikoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And those who ascribe not partners unto their Lord, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who join not (in worship) partners with their Lord; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And they who do not associate anything with their Lord |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And those who proclaim the oneness of their Lord, without ascribing anything to Him as partner. |

| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ يُؤتونَ ما آتَوا وَقُلوبُهُم وَجِلَةٌ أَنَّهُم إِلىٰ رَبِّهِم راجِعونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena yutoona ma ataw waquloobuhum wajilatun annahum ila rabbihim rajiAAoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena yu'toona maaa aataw wa quloobuhum wajilatun annahum ilaa Rabbihim raaji'oon |
| English (Pickthall) | And those who give that which they give with hearts afraid because they are about to return unto their Lord, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And those who dispense their charity with their hearts full of fear, because they will return to their Lord;- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And they who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will be returning to their Lord - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who strive in doing righteous deeds and draw closer to Allah through them, whilst fearing that He may not accept their spending in His path, or good deeds when they return to Him on the Day of Judgment. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और वे लोग जो नेकी के कामों में भरपूर प्रयास करते हैं और अच्छे कार्यों के द्वारा अल्लाह की निकटता प्राप्त करते हैं, इसके बावजूद उन्हें यह भय लगा रहता है कि अल्लाह उनके दान और नेक कार्यों को उस समय अस्वीकार न कर दे, जब वे क़ियामत के दिन उसके पास लौटेंगे। |
| Ayah 61 |
| عَرَبِي | أُولٰئِكَ يُسارِعونَ فِي الخَيراتِ وَهُم لَها سابِقونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Olaika yusariAAoona fee alkhayrati wahum laha sabiqoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ulaaa'ika yusaari'oona fil khairaati wa hum lahaa saabiqoon |
| English (Pickthall) | These race for the good things, and they shall win them in the race. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | It is these who hasten in every good work, and these who are foremost in them. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those possessing these lofty characteristics hasten towards good deeds, and beat others in performing them. That is why they surpass everyone else. |

| Ayah 62 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلا نُكَلِّفُ نَفسًا إِلّا وُسعَها ۖ وَلَدَينا كِتابٌ يَنطِقُ بِالحَقِّ ۚ وَهُم لا يُظلَمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wala nukallifu nafsan illa wusAAaha waladayna kitabun yantiqu bialhaqqi wahum la yuthlamoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laa nukallifu nafsan illaa wus'ahaa wa ladainaa kitaabuny yantiqu bilhaqqi w ahum la yuzlamoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And we task not any soul beyond its scope, and with Us is a Record which speaketh the truth, and they will not be wronged. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | On no soul do We place a burden greater than it can bear: before Us is a record which clearly shows the truth: they will never be wronged. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I do not burden any soul except with whatever actions are within its capability. I have a book in which I have recorded all the deeds of every doer; it shows the undisputable truth. The people will not be wronged by having their good deeds decreased or evil deeds increased. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और हम तो किसी शख्स को उसकी क़ूवत से बढ़के तकलीफ देते ही नहीं और हमारे पास तो (लोगों के आमाल की) किताब है जो बिल्कुल ठीक (हाल बताती है) और उन लोगों की (ज़र्रा बराबर) हक़ तलफी नहीं की जाएगी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हम किसी प्राणी पर केवल उतने ही कार्य का भार डालते हैं, जितना वह कर सकता है। और हमारे पास एक किताब है, जिसमें हमने हर कार्यकर्ता के काम को अंकित कर रखा है। वह सत्य के साथ बोलती है, जो संदेह से परे है। और उनपर, उनकी नेकियों को घटाकर अथवा उनके गुनाहों को बढ़ाकर कोई अत्याचार नहीं किया जाएगा। |
| Ayah 63 |
| عَرَبِي | بَل قُلوبُهُم في غَمرَةٍ مِن هٰذا وَلَهُم أَعمالٌ مِن دونِ ذٰلِكَ هُم لَها عامِلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Bal quloobuhum fee ghamratin min hatha walahum aAAmalun min dooni thalika hum laha AAamiloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Bal quloobuhum fee ghamratim min haazaa wa lahum a'maalum min dooni zaalika hum lahaa 'aamiloon |
| English (Pickthall) | Nay, but their hearts are in ignorance of this (Qur'an), and they have other works, besides, which they are doing; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But their hearts are in confused ignorance of this; and there are, besides that, deeds of theirs, which they will (continue) to do,- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But their hearts are covered with confusion over this, and they have [evil] deeds besides disbelief which they are doing, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Rather, the hearts of the disbelievers are neglectful of this book that contains the truth, and of the book that was revealed to them. They also commit evil actions other than the disbelief that they are insistent on. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | बल्कि उनके दिल इसकी (सत्य धर्म की) ओर से हटकर (वसवसों और गफ़लतों आदि के) भँवर में पडे हुए है और उससे (ईमानवालों की नीति से) हटकर उनके कुछ और ही काम है। वे उन्हीं को करते रहेंगे; |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | बल्कि काफ़िरों के दिल इस सत्य के साथ बोलने वाली किताब और उस किताब से जो उनपर उतरी है, ग़फ़लत में पड़े हुए हैं। तथा जिस कुफ़्र पर वे क़ायम हैं, उसके सिवा भी उनके अन्य कार्य हैं, जिन्हें वे करने वाले हैं। |
| Ayah 64 |
| عَرَبِي | حَتّىٰ إِذا أَخَذنا مُترَفيهِم بِالعَذابِ إِذا هُم يَجأَرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Hatta itha akhathna mutrafeehim bialAAathabi itha hum yajaroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Hattaaa izaaa akhznaa mutrafeehim bil'azaabi izaa hum yaj'aroon |
| English (Pickthall) | Till when We grasp their luxurious ones with the punishment, behold! they supplicate. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Until, when We seize in Punishment those of them who received the good things of this world, behold, they will groan in supplication! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Until when I punish those among them who lived in luxury in the world with the punishment on the Day of Judgment, they shall raise their voices calling out for help. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | यहाँ तक कि जब हम उनके खुशहाल लोगों को यातना में पकड़ेगे तो क्या देखते है कि वे विलाप और फ़रियाद कर रहे है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | यहाँ तक कि जब हम उनके मालदारों को अज़ाब में गिरफ््तार करेंगे तो ये लोग वावैला करने लगेंगें |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | यहाँ तक कि जब हम उनके उन लोगों को, जो दुनिया में समृद्ध थे, क़ियामत के दिन सज़ा देंगे, तो वे चीख-चीख कर मदद माँगेगे। |
| Ayah 65 |
| عَرَبِي | لا تَجأَرُوا اليَومَ ۖ إِنَّكُم مِنّا لا تُنصَرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | La tajaroo alyawma innakum minna la tunsaroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Laa taj'arul yawma innakum minnaa laa tunsaroon |
| English (Pickthall) | Supplicate not this day! Assuredly ye will not be helped by Us. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | (It will be said): "Groan not in supplication this day: for ye shall certainly not be helped by Us. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Do not cry out today. Indeed, by Us you will not be helped. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | It will be said to them, depriving them of all hope in the mercy of Allah, “Do not scream and do not call for help today! There is no helper for you today who can help you against the punishment of Allah. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | (कहा जाएगा,) "आज चिल्लाओ मत, तुम्हें हमारी ओर से कोई सहायता मिलनेवाली नहीं |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (उस वक्त क़हा जाएगा) आज वावैला मत करों तुमको अब हमारी तरफ से मदद नहीं मिल सकती |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तो उन्हें अल्लाह की दया से निराश करते हुए कहा जाएगा : आज मत चिल्लाओ और न मदद माँगो। क्योंकि आज तुम्हारा कोई मददगार नहीं है, जो तुम्हें अल्लाह की यातना से बचा सके। |
| Ayah 66 |
| عَرَبِي | قَد كانَت آياتي تُتلىٰ عَلَيكُم فَكُنتُم عَلىٰ أَعقابِكُم تَنكِصونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qad kanat ayatee tutla AAalaykum fakuntum AAala aAAqabikum tankisoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qad kaanat Aayaatee tutlaa 'alaikum fakuntum 'alaaa a'qaabikum tankisoon |
| English (Pickthall) | My revelations were recited unto you, but ye used to turn back on your heels, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "My Signs used to be rehearsed to you, but ye used to turn back on your heels- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | My verses had already been recited to you, but you were turning back on your heels |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Verily, the verses of Allah would be recited to you in the world, but you would turn away from them when you heard them, in hatred for them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | तुम्हें मेरी आयतें सुनाई जाती थीं, तो तुम अपनी एड़ियों के बल फिर जाते थे। |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (जब) हमारी आयतें तुम्हारे सामने पढ़ी जाती थीं तो तुम अकड़ते किस्सा कहते बकते हुए उन से उलटे पाँव फिर जाते |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | दुनिया में अल्लाह की किताब की आयतें तुम्हें सुनाई जाती थीं, तो तुम उन्हें सुनकर उनसे घृणा के कारण मुँह फेरते हुए पलट जाते थे। |
| Ayah 67 |
| عَرَبِي | مُستَكبِرينَ بِهِ سامِرًا تَهجُرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Mustakbireena bihi samiran tahjuroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Mustakbireena bihee saamiran tahjuroon |
| English (Pickthall) | In scorn thereof. Nightly did ye rave together. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "In arrogance: talking nonsense about the (Qur'an), like one telling fables by night." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | In arrogance regarding it, conversing by night, speaking evil. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | You did that displaying arrogance over the people, because you thought you were the people of the sanctuary while you were not; the true people of the sanctuary are the Mindful. You also talked ill of it by night and would not deem it sacred. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | हाल यह था कि इसके कारण स्वयं को बड़ा समझते थे, उसे एक कहानी कहनेवाला ठहराकर छोड़ चलते थे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो क्या उन लोगों ने (हमारी) बात (कुरान) पर ग़ौर नहीं किया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तुम यह कार्य लोगों पर बड़ा बनते हुए कर रहे थे, क्योंकि तुम्हारा यह भ्रम था कि तुम हरम वाले हो। हालाँकि वास्तव में तुम हरम वाले नहीं हो। क्योंकि हरम वाले तो वे लोग हैं, जो अल्लाह से डरने वाले हैं। तथा तुम हरम के आस पास रात में बुरी बातें करते हो। अतः तुम उसकी पवित्रता का सम्मान नहीं करते। |
| Ayah 68 |
| عَرَبِي | أَفَلَم يَدَّبَّرُوا القَولَ أَم جاءَهُم ما لَم يَأتِ آباءَهُمُ الأَوَّلينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Afalam yaddabbaroo alqawla am jaahum ma lam yati abaahumu alawwaleena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Afalam yaddabbarrul qawla am jaaa'ahum maa lam yaati aabaaa'ahumul awwaleen |
| English (Pickthall) | Have they not pondered the Word, or hath that come unto them which came not unto their fathers of old? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Do they not ponder over the Word (of Allah), or has anything (new) come to them that did not come to their fathers of old? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Will these idolaters not ponder over the Qur’ān Allah has revealed, bring faith in it and implement its teachings? Or is it that something has come to them which did not come to their predecessors, so they turned away from it and rejected it? |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | क्या उन्होंने इस वाणी पर विचार नहीं किया या उनके पास वह चीज़ आ गई जो उनके पहले बाप-दादा के पास न आई थी? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | उनके पास कोई ऐसी नयी चीज़ आयी जो उनके अगले बाप दादाओं के पास नहीं आयी थी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्या इन अनेकेश्वरवादियों ने अल्लाह के उतारे हुए क़ुरआन पर विचार नहीं किया कि उसप ईमान लाते और उसके अनुसार कार्य करते, या क्या उनके पास कोई ऐसी चीज़ आई है, जो उनसे पहले उनके पूर्वजों के पास नहीं आई, इसलिए वे इससे दूर हो गए और इसका इनकार कर दिया?! |
| Ayah 69 |
| عَرَبِي | أَم لَم يَعرِفوا رَسولَهُم فَهُم لَهُ مُنكِرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Am lam yaAArifoo rasoolahum fahum lahu munkiroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Am lam ya'rifoo Rasoolahum fahum lahoo munkiroon |
| English (Pickthall) | Or know they not their messenger, and so reject him? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Or do they not recognise their Messenger, that they deny him? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Or is it that they do not recognise Muhammad peace be upon him whom Allah has sent to them, and so they reject him? Verily, they recognise him, his truthfulness and his honesty. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | या उन्होंने अपने रसूल को पहचाना नहीं, इसलिए उसका इनकार कर रहे है? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | या उन लोगों ने अपने रसूल ही को नहीं पहचाना तो इस वजह से इन्कार कर बैठे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | या उन्होंने मुहम्मद सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम को नहीं पहचाना, जिन्हें अल्लाह ने उनके पास रसूल बनाकर भेजा। इस कारण वे उनका इनकार कर रहे हैं?! निश्चित रूप से वे उन्हें जानते थे तथा उनकी सच्चाई और अमानतदारी को भी जानते थे। |
| Ayah 70 |
| عَرَبِي | أَم يَقولونَ بِهِ جِنَّةٌ ۚ بَل جاءَهُم بِالحَقِّ وَأَكثَرُهُم لِلحَقِّ كارِهونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Am yaqooloona bihi jinnatun bal jaahum bialhaqqi waaktharuhum lilhaqqi karihoona |

| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Or do they say, "In him is madness?" Rather, he brought them the truth, but most of them, to the truth, are averse. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Rather, do they say, “He is insane!”? Surely, they have lied. Rather, the truth has come to them, undisputably from Allah. The majority of them dislike the truth, hating it due to the jealousy within themselves and fanaticism over their falsehood. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | या वे कहते है, "उसे उन्माद हो गया है।" नहीं, बल्कि वह उनके पास सत्य लेकर आया है। किन्तु उनमें अधिकांश को सत्य अप्रिय है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | या कहते हैं कि इसको जुनून हो गया है (हरगिज़ उसे जुनून नहीं) बल्कि वह तो उनके पास हक़ बात लेकर आया है और उनमें के अक्सर हक़ बात से नफरत रखते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | बल्कि वे कहते हैं : वह पागल है। निश्चय उन्होंने झूठ बोला। बल्कि वह उनके पास अल्लाह की ओर से सत्य लेकर आए हैं, जिसके अल्लाह की ओर से होने में कोई संदेह नहीं है। जबकि उनमें से अधिकांश लोग अपनी ईर्ष्या और अपने झूठ के लिए कट्टरता (हठ) के कारण, सत्य को नापसंद करने वाले, उससे नफ़रत करने वाले हैं। |
| Ayah 71 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَوِ اتَّبَعَ الحَقُّ أَهواءَهُم لَفَسَدَتِ السَّماواتُ وَالأَرضُ وَمَن فيهِنَّ ۚ بَل أَتَيناهُم بِذِكرِهِم فَهُم عَن ذِكرِهِم مُعرِضونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walawi ittabaAAa alhaqqu ahwaahum lafasadati alssamawatu waalardu waman feehinna bal ataynahum bithikrihim fahum AAan thikrihim muAAridoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa lawit taba'al haqqu ahwaaa'ahum lafasadatis samaawaatu wal ardu wa man feehinnn; bal atainaahum bizikrihim fahum 'an zikrihim mu'ridon |
| English (Pickthall) | And if the Truth had followed their desires, verily the heavens and the earth and whosoever is therein had been corrupted. Nay, We have brought them their Reminder, but from their Reminder they now turn away. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | If the Truth had been in accord with their desires, truly the heavens and the earth, and all beings therein would have been in confusion and corruption! Nay, We have sent them their admonition, but they turn away from their admonition. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But if the Truth had followed their inclinations, the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them would have been ruined. Rather, We have brought them their message, but they, from their message, are turning away. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | If Allah was to have let matters run and arrange them in accordance to their desires, the heavens, earth and all their inhabitants would fall into ruin due to their ignorance of the outcome of matters, and their inability to differentiate between good and bad plans. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और यदि सत्य कहीं उनकी इच्छाओं के पीछे चलता तो समस्त आकाश और धरती और जो भी उनमें है, सबमें बिगाड़ पैदा हो जाता। नहीं, बल्कि हम उनके पास उनके हिस्से की अनुस्मृति लाए है। किन्तु वे अपनी अनुस्मृति से कतरा रहे है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और अगर कहीं हक़ उनकी नफसियानी ख्वाहिश की पैरवी करता है तो सारे आसमान व ज़मीन और जो लोग उनमें हैं (सबके सब) बरबाद हो जाते बल्कि हम तो उन्हीं के तज़किरे (जिबरील के वास्ते से) उनके पास लेकर आए तो यह लोग अपने ही तज़किरे से मुँह मोड़तें हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | यदि अल्लाह चीज़ों का संचालन और उनका प्रबंध उनके मन की इच्छाओं के अनुसार करने लगे, तो आकाशों और धरती की व्यवस्था बिगड़ जाए और उनमें जो भी मौजूद हैं सब बिगाड़ के शिकार हो जाएँ। क्योंकि वे चीजों के परिणामों, तथा सही और भ्रष्ट उपाय (प्रबंधन) से अनजान हैं। बल्कि, हम उनके पास वह क़ुरआन लेकर आए हैं, जिसमें उनकी प्रतिष्ठा और सम्मान है, तो वे इससे मुँह मोड़ने वाले हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | أَم تَسأَلُهُم خَرجًا فَخَراجُ رَبِّكَ خَيرٌ ۖ وَهُوَ خَيرُ الرّازِقينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Am tasaluhum kharjan fakharaju rabbika khayrun wahuwa khayru alrraziqeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Am tas'aluhum kharjan fakharaaju Rabbika khairunw wa Huwa khairur raaziqeen |
| English (Pickthall) | Or dost thou ask of them (O Muhammad) any tribute? But the bounty of thy Lord is better, for He is Best of all who make provision. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Or is it that thou askest them for some recompense? But the recompense of thy Lord is best: He is the Best of those who give sustenance. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask them for payment? But the reward of your Lord is best, and He is the best of providers. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! Have you asked for a fee from these people for what you brought to them, which has made them reject your call? You have not done as such; the reward of your Lord is far better than the reward any of these people can give. He, may He be glorified, is the best of providers. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | या तुम उनसे कुथ शुल्क माँग रहे हो? तुम्हारे रब का दिया ही उत्तम है। और वह सबसे अच्छी रोज़ी देनेवाला है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (ऐ रसूल) क्या तुम उनसे (अपनी रिसालत की) कुछ उजरत माँगतें हों तो तुम्हारे परवरदिगार की उजरत उससे कही बेहतर है और वह तो सबसे बेहतर रोज़ी देने वाला है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल!) क्या आपने उस (धर्म) पर जो आप इन लोगों के पास लेकर आए हैं, इनसे कोई पारिश्रमिक माँगा है, जिसके कारण वे निमंत्रण को अस्वीकार कर रहे हैं? यह तो आपके द्वारा नहीं हुआ है। क्योंकि आपके रब का सवाब और उसका बदला, इनके और इनके अलावा लोगों के बदले (पारिश्रमिक) से बेहतर है। और वह - महिमावान् - सब रोज़ी देने वालों से बेहतर है। |
| Ayah 73 |
| عَرَبِي | وَإِنَّكَ لَتَدعوهُم إِلىٰ صِراطٍ مُستَقيمٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wainnaka latadAAoohum ila siratin mustaqeemin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa innaka latad'oohum ilaa Siraatim Mustaqeem |
| English (Pickthall) | And lo! thou summonest them indeed unto a straight path. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But verily thou callest them to the Straight Way; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And indeed, you invite them to a straight path. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! Indeed, you call these people and others towards a straight path which has no deviation: it is the path of Islam. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और वास्तव में तुम उन्हें सीधे मार्ग की ओर बुला रहे हो |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और तुम तो यक़ीनन उनको सीधी राह की तरफ बुलाते हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा निश्चय (ऐ रसूल!) आप इनको और इनके अलावा लोगों को एक सीधे रास्ते की ओर बुलाते हैं, जिसमें कोई टेढ़ापन नहीं है, और वह इस्लाम का रास्ता है। |
| Ayah 74 |
| عَرَبِي | وَإِنَّ الَّذينَ لا يُؤمِنونَ بِالآخِرَةِ عَنِ الصِّراطِ لَناكِبونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wainna allatheena la yuminoona bialakhirati AAani alssirati lanakiboona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa innnal lazeena laa yu'minoona bil Aakhirati 'anis siraati lanaakiboon |
| English (Pickthall) | And lo! those who believe not in the Hereafter are indeed astray from the path. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And verily those who believe not in the Hereafter are deviating from that Way. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And indeed those who do not believe in the Hearafter; accountability, punishment and reward, incline towards other paths which lead to the hellfire. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | किन्तु जो लोग आख़िरत पर ईमान नहीं रखते वे इस मार्ग से हटकर चलना चाहते है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और इसमें शक नहीं कि जो लोग आख़िरत पर ईमान नहीं रखते वह सीधी राह से हटे हुए हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो लोग आख़िरत और उसमें घटित होने वाले हिसाब, दंड और प्रतिफल पर ईमान नहीं रखते, वे इस्लाम के मार्ग से हटकर दूसरे टेढ़े रास्तों पर चलने वाले हैं, जो जहन्नम की ओर ले जाते हैं। |
| Ayah 75 |
| عَرَبِي | ۞ وَلَو رَحِمناهُم وَكَشَفنا ما بِهِم مِن ضُرٍّ لَلَجّوا في طُغيانِهِم يَعمَهونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaw rahimnahum wakashafna ma bihim min durrin lalajjoo fee tughyanihim yaAAmahoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa law rahimnaahum wa kashafnaa maa bihim min durril lalajjoo fee tughyaanihim ya'mahoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Though We had mercy on them and relieved them of the harm afflicting them, they still would wander blindly on in their contumacy. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | If We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering in distraction to and fro. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And even if We gave them mercy and removed what was upon them of affliction, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | If I were to have mercy on them and lift their famine and hunger, they would continue being misguided from the truth, being confused and stumbling. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | यदि हम (किसी आज़माइश में डालने के पश्चात) उनपर दया करते और जिस तकलीफ़ में वे होते उसे दूर कर देते तो भी वे अपनी सरकशी में हठात बहकते रहते |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और अगर हम उन पर तरस खायें और जो तकलीफें उनको (कुफ्र की वजह से) पहुँच रही हैं उन को दफा कर दें तो यक़ीनन ये लोग (और भी) अपनी सरकशी पर अड़ जाए और भटकते फिरें |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अगर हम उनपर दया करें और जिस अकाल और भुखमरी से वे पीड़ित हैं, उसे उनसे दूर कर दें, तो भी वे सत्य से अपनी गुमराही में बने रहेंगे इस हाल में कि संकोचवश भटक रहे होंगे। |
| Ayah 76 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَقَد أَخَذناهُم بِالعَذابِ فَمَا استَكانوا لِرَبِّهِم وَما يَتَضَرَّعونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaqad akhathnahum bialAAathabi fama istakanoo lirabbihim wama yatadarraAAoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laqad akhaznaahum bil'azaabi famastakaanoo li Rabbihim wa maa yatadarra'oon |
| English (Pickthall) | Already have We grasped them with punishment, but they humble not themselves unto their Lord, nor do they pray, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | We inflicted Punishment on them, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor do they submissively entreat (Him)!- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We had gripped them with suffering [as a warning], but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate, [and will continue thus] |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I tested them through different afflictions, but neither did they humble before their Lord or submit to Him nor did they pray to Him submissively so that He lifts the afflictions from them when they befall. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | यद्यपि हमने उन्हें यातना में पकड़ा, फिर भी वे अपने रब के आगे न तो झुके और न वे गिड़गिड़ाते ही थे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और हमने उनको अज़ाब में गिरफ्तार किया तो भी वे लोग न तो अपने परवरदिगार के सामने झुके और गिड़गिड़ाएँ |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हमने विभिन्न प्रकार की आपदाओं द्वारा उनका परीक्षण किया। परन्तु वे न अपने पालनहार के सामने झुके और न ही उससे विनम्रतापूर्वक दुआ की कि उनसे आपदाओं को दूर कर दे। |
| Ayah 77 |
| عَرَبِي | حَتّىٰ إِذا فَتَحنا عَلَيهِم بابًا ذا عَذابٍ شَديدٍ إِذا هُم فيهِ مُبلِسونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Hatta itha fatahna AAalayhim baban tha AAathabin shadeedin itha hum feehi mublisoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Hattaaa izaa fatahnaa 'alaihim baaban zaa 'azaabin shadeedin izaa hum feehi mublisoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Until, when We open for them the gate of extreme punishment, behold! they are aghast thereat. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Until We open on them a gate leading to a severe Punishment: then Lo! they will be plunged in despair therein! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, immediately they will be therein in despair. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Until when I opened a door of severe punishment on them, they became hopeless of every ease and good. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | यहाँ तक कि जब हम उनपर कठोर यातना का द्वार खोल दें तो क्या देखेंगे कि वे उसमें निराश होकर रह गए है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | यहाँ तक कि जब हमने उनके सामने एक सख्त अज़ाब का दरवाज़ा खोल दिया तो उस वक्त फ़ौरन ये लोग बेआस होकर बैठ रहे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | यहाँ तक कि जब हमने उनपर सख़्त यातना का कोई द्वार खोल दिया, तो तुरंत वे उसमें हर राहत और भलाई से निराश हो गए। |
| Ayah 78 |
| عَرَبِي | وَهُوَ الَّذي أَنشَأَ لَكُمُ السَّمعَ وَالأَبصارَ وَالأَفئِدَةَ ۚ قَليلًا ما تَشكُرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wahuwa allathee anshaa lakumu alssamAAa waalabsara waalafidata qaleelan ma tashkuroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa Huwal lazeee ansha a-lakumus sam'a wal absaara wal af'idah; qaleelam maa tashkuroon |
| English (Pickthall) | He it is Who hath created for you ears and eyes and hearts. Small thanks give ye! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | It is He Who has created for you (the faculties of) hearing, sight, feeling and understanding: little thanks it is ye give! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And it is He who produced for you hearing and vision and hearts; little are you grateful. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O deniers of the resurrection, Allah is the One Who created for you hearing to listen with, vision to see with, and hearts to ponder with, but despite that, you do not thank Him for these favours except a little. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और वही है जिसने तुम्हारे लिए कान और आँखे और दिल बनाए। तुम कृतज्ञता थोड़े ही दिखाते हो! |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | हालाँकि वही वह (मेहरबान खुदा) है जिसने तुम्हारे लिए कान और ऑंखें और दिल पैदा किये (मगर) तुम लोग हो ही बहुत कम शुक्र करने वाले |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ पुनर्जीवन को झुठलाने वालो!) अल्लाह पाक ही ने तुम्हारे लिए कान बनाए; ताकि उनसे सुनो, आँखें बनाईं; ताकि उनसे देखो और दिल बनाए; ताकि उनसे समझो। फिर भी तुम इन नेमतों पर उसका बहुत कम ही शुक्रिया अदा करते हो। |
| Ayah 79 |
| عَرَبِي | وَهُوَ الَّذي ذَرَأَكُم فِي الأَرضِ وَإِلَيهِ تُحشَرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wahuwa allathee tharaakum fee alardi wailayhi tuhsharoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa Huwal lazee zara akum fil ardi wa ilaihi tuhsharoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And He it is Who hath sown you broadcast in the earth, and unto Him ye will be gathered. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And He has multiplied you through the earth, and to Him shall ye be gathered back. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And it is He who has multiplied you throughout the earth, and to Him you will be gathered. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O people, it is He Who created you on earth, and to Him alone you will be raised for reckoning and reward on the Day of Judgment. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वही है जिसने तुम्हें धरती में पैदा करके फैलाया और उसी की ओर तुम इकट्ठे होकर जाओगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और वह वही (ख़ुदा) है जिसने तुम को रुए ज़मीन में (हर तरफ) फैला दिया और फिर (एक दिन) सब के सब उसी के सामने इकट्ठे किये जाओगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वही है जिसने (ऐ लोगो!) तुम्हें धरती में पैदा किया और तुम क़ियामत के दिन अकेले उसी के पास हिसाब और बदले के लिए एकत्र किए जाओगे। |
| Ayah 80 |
| عَرَبِي | وَهُوَ الَّذي يُحيي وَيُميتُ وَلَهُ اختِلافُ اللَّيلِ وَالنَّهارِ ۚ أَفَلا تَعقِلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wahuwa allathee yuhyee wayumeetu walahu ikhtilafu allayli waalnnahari afala taAAqiloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa Huwal lazee yuhyee wa yumeetu wa lahukh tilaaful laili wannahaar; afalaa ta'qiloon |
| English (Pickthall) | And He it is Who giveth life and causeth death, and His is the difference of night and day. Have ye then no sense? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | It is He Who gives life and death, and to Him (is due) the alternation of Night and Day: will ye not then understand? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And it is He who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of the night and the day. Then will you not reason? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And it is He alone Who gives life; there is nobody who gives life besides Him. And it is He alone Who gives death; there is nobody who gives death besides Him. To Him alone belongs fixing the difference of night and day, in terms of darkness and light, and length and shortness. Do you not understand His power and His being alone in creating and managing? |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और वही है जो जीवन प्रदान करता और मृत्यु देता है और रात और दिन का उलट-फेर उसी के अधिकार में है। फिर क्या तुम बुद्धि से काम नहीं लेते? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और वही वह (ख़ुदा) है जो जिलाता और मारता है कि और रात दिन का फेर बदल भी उसी के एख्तियार में है तो क्या तुम (इतना भी) नहीं समझते |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वही अकेला सर्वशक्तिमान है, जो जीवन देता है, उसके सिवा कोई दूसरा जीवन देने वाला नहीं। वही अकेला मौत देता है, उसके सिवा कोई दूसरा मौत देने वाला नहीं। तथा उसी अकेले के अधिकार में अंधेरे और रोशनी, लंबाई और लघुता के एतिबार से रात और दिन के बदलने का आकलन करना है। तो क्या तुम उसकी शक्ति तथा पैदा करने और प्रबंध करने में उसकी एकता को नहीं समझते? |
| Ayah 81 |
| عَرَبِي | بَل قالوا مِثلَ ما قالَ الأَوَّلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Bal qaloo mithla ma qala alawwaloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Bal qaaloo misla maa qaalal awwaloon |
| English (Pickthall) | Nay, but they say the like of that which said the men of old; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | On the contrary they say things similar to what the ancients said. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Rather, they say like what the former peoples said. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | But they said what their forefathers and predecessors in disbelief said. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | नहीं, बल्कि वे लोग वहीं कुछ करते है जो उनके पहले के लोग कह चुके है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (इन बातों को समझें ख़ाक नहीं) बल्कि जो अगले लोग कहते आए वैसी ही बात ये भी कहने लगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | बल्कि उन्होंने भी वैसी ही बात कही, जो उनके बाप-दादा तथा कुफ़्र में उनके पूर्वजों ने कही थी। |
| Ayah 82 |
| عَرَبِي | قالوا أَإِذا مِتنا وَكُنّا تُرابًا وَعِظامًا أَإِنّا لَمَبعوثونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qaloo aitha mitna wakunna turaban waAAithaman ainna lamabAAoothoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qaalooo 'a-izaa mitnaa wa kunnaa turaabanw wa 'izaaman 'a-innaa lamab 'oosoon |
| English (Pickthall) | They say: When we are dead and have become (mere) dust and bones, shall we then, forsooth, be raised again? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They say: "What! when we die and become dust and bones, could we really be raised up again? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | They said, "When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They said, unbelievingly and denyingly: “When we die and turn into dust and decomposed bones, will we be raised alive to be reckoned? |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उन्होंने कहा, "क्या जब हम मरकर मिट्टी और हड्डियाँ होकर रह जाएँगे , तो क्या हमें दोबारा जीवित करके उठाया जाएगा? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | कि जब हम मर जाएँगें और (मरकर) मिट्टी (का ढ़ेर) और हड्डियाँ हो जाएँगें तो क्या हम फिर दोबारा (क्रबों से ज़िन्दा करके) निकाले जाएँगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उन्होंने पुनर्जीवन का इनकार करते हुए और उसे असंभव जताते हुए कहा : क्या जब हम मर जाएँगे और मिट्टी तथा सड़ी-गली हड्डियाँ बन जाएँगे, तो क्या सचमुच हमें हिसाब के लिए जीवित करके उठाया जाएगा?! |
| Ayah 83 |
| عَرَبِي | لَقَد وُعِدنا نَحنُ وَآباؤُنا هٰذا مِن قَبلُ إِن هٰذا إِلّا أَساطيرُ الأَوَّلينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Laqad wuAAidna nahnu waabaona hatha min qablu in hatha illa asateeru alawwaleena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Laqad wu'idnaa nahnu wa aabaaa'unaa haazaa min qablu in haazaaa illaaa asaateerul awwaleen |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हमसे यह वादा किया गया है - कि मरने के बाद पुनर्जीवित होना है - तथा इससे पहले हमारे पूर्वजों से भी यही वादा किया गया था। लेकिन हमने उस वादे को पूरा होते नहीं देखा। यह कुछ और नहीं बल्कि पहले लोगों की किंवदंतियां और झूठी कहानियाँ हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | قُل لِمَنِ الأَرضُ وَمَن فيها إِن كُنتُم تَعلَمونَ |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qul limanil ardu wa man feehaaa in kuntum ta'lamoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Say: Unto Whom (belongeth) the earth and whosoever is therein, if ye have knowledge? |

| عَرَبِي | قُل مَن بِيَدِهِ مَلَكوتُ كُلِّ شَيءٍ وَهُوَ يُجيرُ وَلا يُجارُ عَلَيهِ إِن كُنتُم تَعلَمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qul man biyadihi malakootu kulli shayin wahuwa yujeeru wala yujaru AAalayhi in kuntum taAAlamoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qul mam bi yadihee malakootu kulli shai'inw wa Huwa yujeeru wa laa yujaaru 'alaihi in kuntum ta'lamoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Say: In Whose hand is the dominion over all things and He protecteth, while against Him there is no protection, if ye have knowledge? |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | आप उनसे पूछिए : कौन है वह, जिसके स्वामित्व में प्रत्येक वस्तु है, कोई चीज़ उसके स्वामित्व से निकल नहीं सकती, वह अपने बंदों में से जिसकी चाहे मदद करता है तथा जिसके साथ वह बुराई का इरादा करे उसे कोई उससे छुड़ा नहीं सकता कि उससे यातना को टाल दे। यदि तुम ज्ञान रखते हो, तो बताओ। |

| عَرَبِي | سَيَقولونَ لِلَّهِ ۚ قُل فَأَنّىٰ تُسحَرونَ |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Sa yaqooloona lillaah; qul fa annaa tus haroon |
| English (Pickthall) | They will say: Unto Allah (all that belongeth). Say: How then are ye bewitched? |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वे कहेंगे : प्रत्येक वस्तु का स्वामित्व अल्लाह पाक के हाथ में है। अतः आप उनसे कह दें : जब तुम यह स्वीकार करते हो, तो फिर तुम्हारी बुद्धि कहाँ चली जाती है कि उसके अलावा किसी और की पूजा करते हो?! |
| Ayah 90 |
| عَرَبِي | بَل أَتَيناهُم بِالحَقِّ وَإِنَّهُم لَكاذِبونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Bal ataynahum bialhaqqi wainnahum lakathiboona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Bal atainaahum bil haqqi wa innahum lakaaziboon |
| English (Pickthall) | Nay, but We have brought them the Truth, and lo! they are liars. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | We have sent them the Truth: but they indeed practise falsehood! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Rather, We have brought them the truth, and indeed they are liars. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The matter is not as they claim. But rather, I have brought them the truth in which there is no doubt. They are lying in their claiming a partner and child for Allah. Allah is far above what they say. |

| Ayah 91 |
| عَرَبِي | مَا اتَّخَذَ اللَّهُ مِن وَلَدٍ وَما كانَ مَعَهُ مِن إِلٰهٍ ۚ إِذًا لَذَهَبَ كُلُّ إِلٰهٍ بِما خَلَقَ وَلَعَلا بَعضُهُم عَلىٰ بَعضٍ ۚ سُبحانَ اللَّهِ عَمّا يَصِفونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ma ittakhatha Allahu min waladin wama kana maAAahu min ilahin ithan lathahaba kullu ilahin bima khalaqa walaAAala baAAduhum AAala baAAdin subhana Allahi AAamma yasifoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Mat takhazal laahu minw waladinw wa maa kaana ma'ahoo min ilaah; izal lazahaba kullu ilaahim bimaa khalaqa wa la'alaa ba'duhum 'alaa ba'd; Subhaannal laahi 'ammaa yasifoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Allah hath not chosen any son, nor is there any god along with Him; else would each god have assuredly championed that which he created, and some of them would assuredly have overcome others. Glorified be Allah above all that they allege. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | No son did Allah beget, nor is there any god along with Him: (if there were many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have lorded it over others! Glory to Allah! (He is free) from the (sort of) things they attribute to Him! |

If there were to be any true deity alongside Him, every deity would take his share of the creation he made and they would dominate one another, causing the order of the Universe to become corrupt. The reality is that none of this has occurred, proving that the true deity is Allah alone. He is pure and holy of what the idolaters describe Him with, namely partners and children which are unbefitting for Him. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अल्लाह ने अपना कोई बेटा नहीं बनाया और न उसके साथ कोई अन्य पूज्य-प्रभु है। ऐसा होता तो प्रत्येक पूज्य-प्रभु अपनी सृष्टि को लेकर अलग हो जाता और उनमें से एक-दूसरे पर चढ़ाई कर देता। महान और उच्च है अल्लाह उन बातों से, जो वे बयान करते है; |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अल्लाह ने कोई संतान नहीं बनाई, जैसा कि काफिरों का दावा है, और उसके साथ वास्तव में कभी कोई पूज्य नहीं था। यदि मान लिया जाए कि उसके साथ वास्तव में कोई पूज्य है, तो प्रत्यक पूज्य उस सृष्टि के अपने हिस्से के साथ चला जाता, जो उसने बनाया था, और वे अवश्य एक-दूसरे पर चढ़ दौड़ते। इस प्रकार ब्रह्मांड की व्यवस्था बिगड़ जाती। जबकि वास्तव में ऐसा कुछ भी नहीं हुआ। अतः यह इंगित करता है कि सत्य पूज्य एक ही है और वह अकेला अल्लाह है। वह बहुत पवित्र एवं महान है उन अयोग्य बातों से, जो अनेकेश्वरवादी उसके साझी और संतान होने की बयान करते हैं। |
| Ayah 92 |
| عَرَبِي | عالِمِ الغَيبِ وَالشَّهادَةِ فَتَعالىٰ عَمّا يُشرِكونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | AAalimi alghaybi waalshshahadati fataAAala AAamma yushrikoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | 'Aalimil Ghaibi wash shahhaadati fata'aalaa 'ammaa yushrikoon (section 5) |
| English (Pickthall) | Knower of the Invisible and the Visible! and Exalted be He over all that they ascribe as partners (unto Him)! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | He knows what is hidden and what is open: too high is He for the partners they attribute to Him! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, so high is He above what they associate [with Him]. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वह हर उस चीज़ को जानने वाला है, जो उसकी मख़लूक़ से अदृश्य है तथा हर उस चीज़ को जानने वाला है, जिसे इंद्रियों द्वारा देखा और जाना जाता है। इनमें से कोई चीज़ उससे छिपी नहीं है। अतः वह महिमावान् इस बात से सर्वोच्च है कि उसका कोई साझी हो। |

| عَرَبِي | قُل رَبِّ إِمّا تُرِيَنّي ما يوعَدونَ |

| عَرَبِي | رَبِّ فَلا تَجعَلني فِي القَومِ الظّالِمينَ |

| English (Pickthall) | My Lord! then set me not among the wrongdoing folk. |

| عَرَبِي | وَإِنّا عَلىٰ أَن نُرِيَكَ ما نَعِدُهُم لَقادِرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wainna AAala an nuriyaka ma naAAiduhum laqadiroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa innaa 'alaaa an nuriyaka maa na'iduhum laqaadiroon |
| English (Pickthall) | And verily We are Able to show thee that which We have promised them. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And We are certainly able to show thee (in fulfilment) that against which they are warned. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And indeed, We are able to show you what We have promised them. |

| عَرَبِي | ادفَع بِالَّتي هِيَ أَحسَنُ السَّيِّئَةَ ۚ نَحنُ أَعلَمُ بِما يَصِفونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | IdfaAA biallatee hiya ahsanu alssayyiata nahnu aAAlamu bima yasifoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Idfa' billate hiya ahsanus saiyi'ah; nahnu a'lamu bimaa yasifoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best Aware of that which they allege. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Repel evil with that which is best: We are well acquainted with the things they say. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Repel, by [means of] what is best, [their] evil. We are most knowing of what they describe. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger, repel the one who is bad to you by the characteristic which is better, namely turning away from him and being patient with his harm. I know best the associating partners and denial they describe, and the unbefitting things they describe you with such as magic and insanity. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | बुराई को उस ढंग से दूर करो, जो सबसे उत्तम हो। हम भली-भाँति जानते है जो कुछ बातें वे बनाते है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और बुरी बात के जवाब में ऐसी बात कहो जो निहायत अच्छी हो जो कुछ ये लोग (तुम्हारी निस्बत) बयान करते हैं उससे हम ख़ूब वाक़िफ हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल) जो आपके साथ बुरा व्यवहार करे, आप उसका जवाब ऐसे व्यवहार से दें, जो सबसे अच्छा हो; इस प्रकार कि आप उसे माफ़ कर दें और उसकी ओर से पहुँचने वाले कष्ट पर धैर्य रखें। हम उस शिर्क और झुठलाने की बातों से भली-भाँति अवगत हैं, जो वे बयान करते हैं और जो वे आपके बारे में ऐसी बातें वर्णन करते हैं, जो आपके योग्य नहीं हैं, जैसे कि जादू और पागलपन। |
| Ayah 97 |
| عَرَبِي | وَقُل رَبِّ أَعوذُ بِكَ مِن هَمَزاتِ الشَّياطينِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waqul rabbi aAAoothu bika min hamazati alshshayateeni |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa qur Rabbi a'oozu bika min hamazaatish Shayaateen |
| English (Pickthall) | And say: My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from suggestions of the evil ones, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And say "O my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee from the suggestions of the Evil Ones. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And say, "My Lord, I seek refuge in You from the incitements of the devils, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And say: “O Lord, I seek protection in You against the evil suggestions of the satans and their whisperings. |

| عَرَبِي | وَأَعوذُ بِكَ رَبِّ أَن يَحضُرونِ |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa a'oozu bika Rabbi ai-yahduroon |
| English (Pickthall) | And I seek refuge in Thee, my Lord, lest they be present with me, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "And I seek refuge with Thee O my Lord! lest they should come near me." |

| عَرَبِي | حَتّىٰ إِذا جاءَ أَحَدَهُمُ المَوتُ قالَ رَبِّ ارجِعونِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Hatta itha jaa ahadahumu almawtu qala rabbi irjiAAooni |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Hattaaa izaa jaaa'a ahada humul mawtu qaala Rabbir ji'oon |
| English (Pickthall) | Until, when death cometh unto one of them, he saith: My Lord! Send me back, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | (In Falsehood will they be) Until, when death comes to one of them, he says: "O my Lord! send me back (to life),- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [For such is the state of the disbelievers], until, when death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Until when death comes to one of these idolaters and he sees what is going to befall him, he says regretfully over his life that has escaped him and his deficiency regarding Allah: “O Lord, return me to the worldly life. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (और कुफ्फ़ार तो मानेगें नहीं) यहाँ तक कि जब उनमें से किसी को मौत आयी तो कहने लगे परवरदिगार तू मुझे (एक बार) उस मुक़ाम (दुनिया) में छोड़ आया हूँ फिर वापस कर दे ताकि मै (अपकी दफ़ा) अच्छे अच्छे काम करूं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | यहाँ तक कि जब इन बहुदेववादियों में से किसी के पास मौत आती है और जो कुछ उसके साथ होने वाला है, वह उसे अपनी आँखों से देख लेता है, तो अपनी बीती हुई आयु और अल्लाह के आदेश के पालन में होने वाली कोताही पर पछतावा करते हुए कहता है : ऐ मेरे पालनहार! मुझे दुनिया के जीवन की ओर लौटा दे। |

| عَرَبِي | لَعَلّي أَعمَلُ صالِحًا فيما تَرَكتُ ۚ كَلّا ۚ إِنَّها كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قائِلُها ۖ وَمِن وَرائِهِم بَرزَخٌ إِلىٰ يَومِ يُبعَثونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | LaAAallee aAAmalu salihan feema taraktu kalla innaha kalimatun huwa qailuha wamin waraihim barzakhun ila yawmi yubAAathoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | La'alleee a'malu saalihan feemaa taraktu kallaa; innahaa kalimatun huwa qaaa'iluhaa wa minw waraaa'him barzakhun ilaa Yawmi yub'asoon |
| English (Pickthall) | That I may do right in that which I have left behind! But nay! It is but a word that he speaketh; and behind them is a barrier until the day when they are raised. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "In order that I may work righteousness in the things I neglected." - "By no means! It is but a word he says."- Before them is a Partition till the Day they are raised up. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | That I might do righteousness in that which I left behind." No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Perhaps I will do good actions when I return to it. Never. The matter is not as you requested. It is only a statement he is uttering. If he were to return to the worldly life, he would not fulfil what he promised. These people who have died will remain in a barrier between the world and the afterlife until the Day of Resurrection and rising. Thus, they will not return from it to the world, to make up for what they lost and to correct what they spoiled. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उसमें अच्छा कर्म करूँ।" कुछ नहीं, यह तो बस एक (व्यर्थ) बात है जो वह कहेगा और उनके पीछे से लेकर उस दिन तक एक रोक लगी हुई है, जब वे दोबारा उठाए जाएँगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (जवाब दिया जाएगा) हरगिज़ नहीं ये एक लग़ो बात है- जिसे वह बक रहा और उनके (मरने के) बाद (आलमे) बरज़ख़ है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ताकि मैं संसार में लौटकर कोई नेक काम कर लूँ। कदापि नहीं, मामला वैसा नहीं है, जैसा कि उसने अनुरोध किया है। यह केवल एक शब्द है जो वह कहने वाला है। अगर उसे सांसारिक जीवन में वापस भेज दिया जाए, तो वह अपना किया हुआ वादा पूरा नहीं करेगा। ये मरने वाले लोग, क़ियामत के दिन तक दुनिया और आख़िरत के बीच एक ओट में रहेंगे। इसलिए वे वहाँ से दुनिया में वापस नहीं आएँगे कि जो कुछ उनसे छूट गया है, उसकी छतिपूर्ति कर लें और जो कुछ उन्होंने बिगाड़ा है, उसे ठीक कर लें। |

| عَرَبِي | فَإِذا نُفِخَ فِي الصّورِ فَلا أَنسابَ بَينَهُم يَومَئِذٍ وَلا يَتَساءَلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faitha nufikha fee alssoori fala ansaba baynahum yawmaithin wala yatasaaloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa izaa nufikha fis Soori falaaa ansaaba bainahum yawma'izinw wa laa yatasaaa'aloon |
| English (Pickthall) | And when the trumpet is blown there will be no kinship among them that day, nor will they ask of one another. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that Day, nor will one ask after another! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Then when the angel appointed to blow the Trumpet will blow the second time which will announce the Day of Judgment, there will be no relations between them to boast through, due to their being engrossed in the horrors of the Hearafter, and they will not question one another due to their being engrossed in what concerns them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | फिर जब सूर (नरसिंघा) में फूँक मारी जाएगी तो उस दिन उनके बीच रिश्ते-नाते शेष न रहेंगे, और न वे एक-दूसरे को पूछेंगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (जहाँ) क़ब्रों से उठाए जाएँगें (रहना होगा) फिर जिस वक्त सूर फूँका जाएगा तो उस दिन न लोगों में क़राबत दारियाँ रहेगी और न एक दूसरे की बात पूछेंगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर जब सूर (नरसिंघा) में फूँक मारने के कार्य पर नियुक्त फरिश्ता, उसमें दूसरी बार फूँक मारेगा, जो क़ियामत का ऐलान होगा, तो उनके बीच कोई रिश्ते-नाते नहीं होंगे जिनपर वे गर्व करते हैं, क्योंकि वे क़ियामत की भयावहता में व्यस्त होंगे। तथा वे अपनी-अपनी चिंताओं में व्यस्त होने के कारण एक-दूसरे को नहीं पूछेंगे। |
| Ayah 102 |
| عَرَبِي | فَمَن ثَقُلَت مَوازينُهُ فَأُولٰئِكَ هُمُ المُفلِحونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faman thaqulat mawazeenuhu faolaika humu almuflihoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Faman saqulat mawaazee nuhoo fa ulaaa'ika humul muflihoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Then those whose scales are heavy, they are the successful. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy,- they will attain salvation: |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So whoever’s scales are heavy because of his good actions outweighing his bad actions, those are the successful ones, by attaining their objective and being saved from their fears. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | फिर जिनके पलड़े भारी हुए तॊ वही हैं जो सफल। |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | फिर जिन (के नेकियों) के पल्लें भारी होगें तो यही लोग कामयाब होंगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर जिसके पलड़े, उसकी नेकियों के उसके गुनाहों से अधिक होने के कारण, भारी हो गए, तो वही लोग अपनी अपेक्षित चीज़ों को प्राप्त करके और अपनी अप्रिय चीज़ों से मुक्ति पाकर, सफल हैं। |
| Ayah 103 |
| عَرَبِي | وَمَن خَفَّت مَوازينُهُ فَأُولٰئِكَ الَّذينَ خَسِروا أَنفُسَهُم في جَهَنَّمَ خالِدونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waman khaffat mawazeenuhu faolaika allatheena khasiroo anfusahum fee jahannama khalidoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa man khaffat mawaa zeenuhoo fa ulaaa'ikal lazeena khasiroon anfusahum fee Jahannnama khaalidoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And those whose scales are light are those who lose their souls, in hell abiding. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will they abide. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But those whose scales are light - those are the ones who have lost their souls, [being] in Hell, abiding eternally. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And whoever’s scales are light because of his bad deeds outweighing his good deeds, those are the ones who have wasted themselves by doing that which is harmful to them, i.e., disbelief and sins, and leaving faith and good actions that were beneficial for them. They will be in the fire of hell forever and will not come out of it. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | रहे वे लोग जिनके पलड़े हल्के हुए, तो वही है जिन्होंने अपने आपको घाटे में डाला। वे सदैव जहन्नम में रहेंगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जिन (के नेकियों) के पल्लें हल्के होंगे तो यही लोग है जिन्होंने अपना नुक़सान किया कि हमेशा जहन्नुम में रहेंगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और जिसके पलड़े, उसके गुनाहों के उसकी नेकियों से अधिक होने के कारण, भारी हो गए, तो वही लोग हैं, जिन्होंने खुद को बर्बाद कर दिया। क्योंकि उन्होंने ऐसे कार्य किए, जो उनके लिए हानिकारक हैं और ईमान तथा सत्कर्म को छोड़ दिया, जो उनके लिए लाभदायक हैं। अतः वे हमेशा जहन्नम की आग में रहने वाले हैं, उससे कभी बाहर नहीं निकलेंगे। |
| Ayah 104 |
| عَرَبِي | تَلفَحُ وُجوهَهُمُ النّارُ وَهُم فيها كالِحونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Talfahu wujoohahumu alnnaru wahum feeha kalihoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Talfahu wujoohahumun Naaru wa hum feehaa kaalihood |
| English (Pickthall) | The fire burneth their faces, and they are glum therein. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The Fire will burn their faces, and they will therein grin, with their lips displaced. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | The Fire will sear their faces, and they therein will have taut smiles. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The fire will burn their faces. Therein, their top and bottom lips will shrink away from their teeth, due to severe frowning. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | आग उनके चेहरों को झुलसा देगी और उसमें उनके मुँह विकृत हो रहे होंगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (उनकी ये हालत होगी कि) जहन्नुम की आग उनके मुँह को झुलसा देगी और लोग मुँह बनाए हुए होगें |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उनके चेहरों को जहन्नम की आग जला देगी। और उसमें उनकी स्थिति यह होगी कि गंभीर रूप से त्योरी चढ़ा हुआ होने से उनके ऊपरी और निचले होंठ सिकुड़ गए होंगे और उनके दाँत बाहर निकले आए होंगे। |

| عَرَبِي | أَلَم تَكُن آياتي تُتلىٰ عَلَيكُم فَكُنتُم بِها تُكَذِّبونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Alam takun ayatee tutla AAalaykum fakuntum biha tukaththiboona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Alam takun Aayaatee tutlaa 'alaikum fakuntum bihaa tukazziboon |
| English (Pickthall) | (It will be said): Were not My revelations recited unto you, and then ye used to deny them? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "Were not My Signs rehearsed to you, and ye did but treat them as falsehood?" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [It will be said]. "Were not My verses recited to you and you used to deny them?" |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | It will be said to rebuke them: “Were the verses of the Qur’ān not recited to you in the world but you used to deny them?” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | (कहा जाएगा,) "क्या तुम्हें मेरी आयातें सुनाई नहीं जाती थी, तो तुम उन्हें झुठलाते थे?" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (उस वक्त हम पूछेंगें) क्या तुम्हारे सामने मेरी आयतें न पढ़ी गयीं थीं (ज़रुर पढ़ी गयी थीं) तो तुम उन्हें झुठलाया करते थे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और उन्हें झिड़कते हुए कहा जाएगा : क्या दुनिया में क़ुरआन की आयतें तुम्हारे सामने पढ़ी न जाती थीं, तो तुम उन्हें झुठलाया करते थे? |

| عَرَبِي | قالوا رَبَّنا غَلَبَت عَلَينا شِقوَتُنا وَكُنّا قَومًا ضالّينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qaloo rabbana ghalabat AAalayna shiqwatuna wakunna qawman dalleena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qaaloo Rabbanaa ghalabat 'alainaa shiqwatunaa wa kunnaa qawman daaalleen |
| English (Pickthall) | They will say: Our Lord! Our evil fortune conquered us, and we were erring folk. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They will say: "our Lord! Our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They will say: “Our Lord, our wretchedness which had already passed in Your knowledge overcame us, and we were a people astray from the truth. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वे कहेंगे, "ऐ हमारे रब! हमारा दुर्भाग्य हमपर प्रभावी हुआ और हम भटके हुए लोग थे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | वह जवाब देगें ऐ हमारे परवरदिगार हमको हमारी कम्बख्ती ने आज़माया और हम गुमराह लोग थे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वे कहेंगे : ऐ हमारे पालनहार! हमारा दुर्भाग्य हमपर प्रभावी हो गया, जो पहले ही तेरे ज्ञान में था और हम सत्य से भटके हुए लोग थे। |

| عَرَبِي | رَبَّنا أَخرِجنا مِنها فَإِن عُدنا فَإِنّا ظالِمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Rabbana akhrijna minha fain AAudna fainna thalimoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Rabbanaa akhrijnaa minhaa fa in 'udnaa fa innaa zaalimoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Our Lord! Oh, bring us forth from hence! If we return (to evil) then indeed we shall be wrong-doers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "Our Lord! bring us out of this: if ever we return (to Evil), then shall we be wrong-doers indeed!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to evil], we would indeed be wrongdoers." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Our Lord, take us out of the fire. If we return to the disbelief and misguidance we were upon, we will surely have wronged ourselves and our excuse will be broken”. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | हमारे रब! हमें यहाँ से निकाल दे! फिर हम दोबारा ऐसा करें तो निश्चय ही हम अत्याचारी होंगे।" |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ऐ हमारे पालनहार! हमें नरक से निकाल ले। अगर हम दोबारा अपने कुफ़्र और गुमराही की पूर्व स्थिति की ओर लौट गए, तो निश्चय हम अपने आपपर अत्याचार करने वाले होंगे। हमारा बहाना खत्म हो गया। |

| عَرَبِي | قالَ اخسَئوا فيها وَلا تُكَلِّمونِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qala ikhsaoo feeha wala tukallimooni |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qaalakh sa'oo feehaa wa laa tukallimoon |
| English (Pickthall) | He saith: Begone therein, and speak not unto Me. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | He will say: "Be ye driven into it (with ignominy)! And speak ye not to Me! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Allah will say: “Sit in the fire and stay in there disgraced; never speak to me. |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّهُ كانَ فَريقٌ مِن عِبادي يَقولونَ رَبَّنا آمَنّا فَاغفِر لَنا وَارحَمنا وَأَنتَ خَيرُ الرّاحِمينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Innahu kana fareequn min AAibadee yaqooloona rabbana amanna faighfir lana wairhamna waanta khayru alrrahimeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innahoo kaana fareequm min 'ibaadee yaqooloona Rabbanaaa aamannaa faghfir lanaa warhamnaa wa Anta khairur raahimeen |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! there was a party of My slaves who said: Our Lord! We believe, therefor forgive us and have mercy on us for Thou art Best of all who show mercy; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "A part of My servants there was, who used to pray 'our Lord! we believe; then do Thou forgive us, and have mercy upon us: For Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said, 'Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful.' |

| हिन्दी (Farooq) | मेरे बन्दों में कुछ लोग थे, जो कहते थे, हमारे रब! हम ईमान ले आए। अतः तू हमें क्षमा कर दे और हमपर दया कर। तू सबसे अच्छा दया करनेवाला है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | मेरे बन्दों में से एक गिरोह ऐसा भी था जो (बराबर) ये दुआ करता था कि ऐ हमारे पालने वाले हम ईमान लाए तो तू हमको बख्श दे और हम पर रहम कर तू तो तमाम रहम करने वालों से बेहतर है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | मेरे बंदों में से कुछ लोग, जो मुझपर ईमान लाए थे, कहा करते थे : ऐ हमारे रब! हम तुझपर ईमान लाए। अतः हमारे गुनाह माफ़ कर दे और हमपर दया कर। और तू सब दया करने वालों से बेहतर है। |
| Ayah 110 |
| عَرَبِي | فَاتَّخَذتُموهُم سِخرِيًّا حَتّىٰ أَنسَوكُم ذِكري وَكُنتُم مِنهُم تَضحَكونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faittakhathtumoohum sikhriyyan hatta ansawkum thikree wakuntum minhum tadhakoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fattakhaztumoohum sikhriyyan hattaaa ansawkum zikree wa kuntum minhum tadhakoon |
| English (Pickthall) | But ye chose them for a laughing-stock until they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, while ye laughed at them. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "But ye treated them with ridicule, so much so that (ridicule of) them made you forget My Message while ye were laughing at them! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But you took them in mockery to the point that they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | You took these believers who called upon their Lord as a joke, mocking them and making fun of them, until being engrossed in mocking them made you forget Allah’s remembrance and you used to laugh at them, jokingly and mockingly. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | तो तुमने उनका उपहास किया, यहाँ तक कि उनके कारण तुम मेरी याद को भुला बैठे और तुम उनपर हँसते रहे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो तुम लोगों ने उन्हें मसखरा बना लिया-यहाँ तक कि (गोया) उन लोगों ने तुम से मेरी याद भुला दी और तुम उन पर (बराबर) हँसते रहे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तो तुमने अपने पालनहार को पुकारने वाले इन मोमिनों को उपहास का पात्र बना लिया, जिनका तुम मखौल और हँसी उड़ाते थे यहाँ तक कि उनका उपहास उड़ाने में व्यस्त होने के कारण तुम अल्लाह की याद को भुला बैठे। तथा तुम्हारा उनसे हँसी करना, मज़ाक़ और ठट्ठा के तौर पर था। |
| Ayah 111 |
| عَرَبِي | إِنّي جَزَيتُهُمُ اليَومَ بِما صَبَروا أَنَّهُم هُمُ الفائِزونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Innee jazaytuhumu alyawma bima sabaroo annahum humu alfaizoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Inee jazaituhumul Yawma bimaa sabarooo annahum humul faaa'izoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! I have rewarded them this day forasmuch as they were steadfast in that they, even they, are the triumphant. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "I have rewarded them this Day for their patience and constancy: they are indeed the ones that have achieved Bliss..." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I rewarded these believers with success through paradise on the Day of Judgment, due to their patience on Allah’s obedience and the harm they used to receive from you”. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | मैंने इन ईमान वालों को, अल्लाह की आज्ञाकारिता पर तथा तुम्हारी ओर से पहुँचने वाले कष्ट पर धैर्य से काम लेने के कारण, क़ियामत के दिन बदले में जन्नत की प्राप्ति में सफलता प्रदान की है। |

| عَرَبِي | قالَ كَم لَبِثتُم فِي الأَرضِ عَدَدَ سِنينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qala kam labithtum fee alardi AAadada sineena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qaala kam labistum fil ardi 'adada sineen |
| English (Pickthall) | He will say: How long tarried ye in the earth, counting by years? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | He will say: "What number of years did ye stay on earth?" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [Allah] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?" |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | He will say: “How many years did you spend on earth? And how much time did you waste therein?” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वह कहेगाः “तुम धरती में कितने वर्ष रहे”? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (फिर उनसे) ख़ुदा पूछेगा कि (आख़िर) तुम ज़मीन पर कितने बरस रहे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वह (अल्लाह उनसे) कहेगा : तुम धरती पर कितने वर्षों तक रहे? और तुमने उसमें कितना समय नष्ट किया? |
| Ayah 113 |
| عَرَبِي | قالوا لَبِثنا يَومًا أَو بَعضَ يَومٍ فَاسأَلِ العادّينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qaloo labithna yawman aw baAAda yawmin faisali alAAaddeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qaaloo labisnaa yawman aw ba'da yawmin fas'alil 'aaaddeen |
| English (Pickthall) | They will say: We tarried by a day or part of a day. Ask of those who keep count! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They will say: "We stayed a day or part of a day: but ask those who keep account." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | They will say, "We remained a day or part of a day; ask those who enumerate." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They will reply by saying: “We stayed for one day or part of a day, so ask those who pay attention to counting days and months”. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वॆ कहेंगेः , "एक दिन या एक दिन का कुछ भाग। गणना करनेवालों से पूछ लीजिए।?" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | वह कहेंगें (बरस कैसा) हम तो बस पूरा एक दिन रहे या एक दिन से भी कम |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वे उत्तर देंगे : हम (वहाँ) एक दिन या दिन का कुछ भाग ही रहे हैं। अतः आप उनसे पूछ लें जो दिनों और महीनों की गणना करते हैं। |
| Ayah 114 |
| عَرَبِي | قالَ إِن لَبِثتُم إِلّا قَليلًا ۖ لَو أَنَّكُم كُنتُم تَعلَمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qala in labithtum illa qaleelan law annakum kuntum taAAlamoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qaala il labistum illaa qaleelal law annakum kuntum ta'lamoon |
| English (Pickthall) | He will say: Ye tarried but a little if ye only knew. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | He will say: "Ye stayed not but a little,- if ye had only known! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | He will say, "You stayed not but a little - if only you had known. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | He will say: “You only stayed in the world for a short period, in which it was easy to persevere upon obedience, if only you knew the length of your stay”. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वह कहेगा, "तुम ठहरे थोड़े ही, क्या अच्छा होता तुम जानते होते! |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो तुम शुमार करने वालों से पूछ लो ख़ुदा फरमाएगा बेशक तुम (ज़मीन में) बहुत ही कम ठहरे काश तुम (इतनी बात भी दुनिया में) समझे होते |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वह (अल्लाह) कहेगा : सचमुच तुम दुनिया में बहुत थोड़ा ठहरे हो, जिसके दौरान अल्लाह के आज्ञापालन पर सब्र करना आसान था। काश तुम (उस समय) अपने ठहरने की अवधि जानते होते। |
| Ayah 115 |
| عَرَبِي | أَفَحَسِبتُم أَنَّما خَلَقناكُم عَبَثًا وَأَنَّكُم إِلَينا لا تُرجَعونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Afahasibtum annama khalaqnakum AAabathan waannakum ilayna la turjaAAoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Afahsibtum annamaa khalaqnaakum 'abasanw wa annakum ilainaa laa turja'oon |
| English (Pickthall) | Deemed ye then that We had created you for naught, and that ye would not be returned unto Us? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)?" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?" |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So do you think, O people, that I created you as a plaything without any wisdom, so that there will be no reward or punishment as with animals, and that you will not return to Me on the Day of Judgment for the reckoning and recompense?” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | तो क्या तुमने यह समझा था कि हमने तुम्हें व्यर्थ पैदा किया है और यह कि तुम्हें हमारी और लौटना नहीं है?" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो क्या तुम ये ख्याल करते हो कि हमने तुमको (यूँ ही) बेकार पैदा किया और ये कि तुम हमारे हुज़ूर में लौटा कर न लाए जाओगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ लोगों!) क्या तुमने समझ रखा था कि हमने तुम्हें बिना किसी हिकमत के खेल-तमाशे के तौर पर पैदा किया है, और जानवरों की तरह कोई इनाम या सज़ा नहीं है, और यह कि तुम क़ियामत के दिन हिसाब और बदले के लिए हमारी ओर नहीं लौटाए जाओगे? |
| Ayah 116 |
| عَرَبِي | فَتَعالَى اللَّهُ المَلِكُ الحَقُّ ۖ لا إِلٰهَ إِلّا هُوَ رَبُّ العَرشِ الكَريمِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | FataAAala Allahu almaliku alhaqqu la ilaha illa huwa rabbu alAAarshi alkareemi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fata'aalal laahul Malikul Haqq; laaa ilaaha illaa Huwa Rabbul 'Arshil Kareem |
| English (Pickthall) | Now Allah be Exalted, the True King! There is no Allah save Him, the Lord of the Throne of Grace. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So pure is Allah, the King, who does as He wishes with His creation, and Who Himself is True, His promise is true and His saying is true. There is no true deity besides Him, Lord of the Noble Throne which is the biggest creation. He Who is Lord of the biggest creation is Lord of all the creation. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | तो सर्वोच्च है अल्लाह, सच्चा सम्राट! उसके सिवा कोई पूज्य-प्रभु नहीं, स्वामी है महिमाशाली सिंहासन का |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो ख़ुदा जो सच्चा बादशाह (हर चीज़ से) बरतर व आला है उसके सिवा कोई माबूद नहीं (वहीं) अर्श बुर्जुग़ का मालिक है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अतः पवित्र है अल्लाह, जो बादशाह, अपनी मख़लूक में अपनी इच्छा के अनुसार व्यवहार करने वाला है। जो सत्य है, उसका वचन सत्य है और उसकी बात सत्य है। उसके सिवा कोई सत्य पूज्य नहीं। वह सम्मान वाले सिंहासन का रब है, जो कि सबसे महान सृष्टि है। और जो सबसे महान सृष्टि का रब है, वह समस्त सृष्टि का रब है। |
| Ayah 117 |
| عَرَبِي | وَمَن يَدعُ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلٰهًا آخَرَ لا بُرهانَ لَهُ بِهِ فَإِنَّما حِسابُهُ عِندَ رَبِّهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لا يُفلِحُ الكافِرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waman yadAAu maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara la burhana lahu bihi fainnama hisabuhu AAinda rabbihi innahu la yuflihu alkafiroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa mai yad'u ma'allaahi ilaahan aakhara laa burhaana lahoo bihee fa innnamaa hisaabuhoo 'inda Rabbih; innahoo laa yuflihul kaafiroon |
| English (Pickthall) | He who crieth unto any other god along with Allah hath no proof thereof. His reckoning is only with his Lord. Lo! disbelievers will not be successful. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | If anyone invokes, besides Allah, Any other god, he has no authority therefor; and his reckoning will be only with his Lord! and verily the Unbelievers will fail to win through! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And whoever invokes besides Allah another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Whoever calls upon another god besides Allah for which he has no proof (and this is the case with every god besides Allah), the reward of his bad action is with his Lord, as He is the One Who will reward him for it by punishing him. The disbelievers will not be successful in attaining what they desire and being saved from their fears. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और जो कोई अल्लाह के साथ किसी दूसरे पूज्य को पुकारे, जिसके लिए उसके पास कोई प्रमाम नहीं, तो बस उसका हिसाब उसके रब के पास है। निश्चय ही इनकार करनेवाले कभी सफल नहीं होगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जो शख्स ख़ुदा के साथ दूसरे माबूद की भी परसतिश करेगा उसके पास इस शिर्क की कोई दलील तो है नहीं तो बस उसका हिसाब (किताब) उसके परवरदिगार ही के पास होगा (मगर याद रहे कि कुफ्फ़ार हरगिज़ फलॉह पाने वाले नहीं) |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और जो व्यक्ति अल्लाह के साथ किसी अन्य पूज्य को पुकारे, जिसके पूजा के योग्य होने का उसके पास कोई प्रमाण नहीं है (और अल्लाह के अलावा हर पूज्य का यही मामला है), तो उसके बुरे कर्म का बदला उसके पालनहार के पास है। चुनाँचे वही उसे इसपर यातना से दो चार करेगा। निश्चय काफ़िर लोग अपनी अपेक्षित चीज़ों को प्राप्त करने और अप्रिय चीज़ों से मुक्ति पाने में सफल नहीं होंगे। |

| عَرَبِي | وَقُل رَبِّ اغفِر وَارحَم وَأَنتَ خَيرُ الرّاحِمينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waqul rabbi ighfir wairham waanta khayru alrrahimeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa qur Rabbigh fir warham wa Anta khairur raahimeen |
| English (Pickthall) | And (O Muhammad) say: My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for Thou art Best of all who show mercy. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | So say: "O my Lord! grant Thou forgiveness and mercy for Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And, [O Muhammad], say, "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Say - O Messenger: “O Lord, forgive my sins, grant me Your mercy, and You are the best of those who show mercy”. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और कहो, "मेरे रब! मुझे क्षमा कर दे और दया कर। तू तो सबसे अच्छा दया करनेवाला है।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (ऐ रसूल) तुम कह दो परवरदिगार तू (मेरी उम्मत को) बख्श दे और तरस खा और तू तो सब रहम करने वालों से बेहतर है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल!) आप दुआ करें : ऐ मेरे पालनहार! मेरे पापों को क्षमा कर दे और अपनी दया से मुझपर दया कर। और तू सबसे बेहतर है, जिसने किसी पापी पर दया की और उसकी तौबा क़बूल कर ली। |
