| Ayah 1 |
| عَرَبِي | قَد سَمِعَ اللَّهُ قَولَ الَّتي تُجادِلُكَ في زَوجِها وَتَشتَكي إِلَى اللَّهِ وَاللَّهُ يَسمَعُ تَحاوُرَكُما ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَميعٌ بَصيرٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qad samiAAa Allahu qawla allatee tujadiluka fee zawjiha watashtakee ila Allahi waAllahu yasmaAAu tahawurakuma inna Allaha sameeAAun baseerun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qad sami'al laahu qawlal latee tujaadiluka fee zawjihaa wa tashtakeee ilal laahi wallaahu yasma'u tahaawurakumaa; innal laaha samee'um baseer |
| English (Pickthall) | Allah hath heard the saying of her that disputeth with thee (Muhammad) concerning her husband, and complaineth unto Allah. And Allah heareth your colloquy. Lo! Allah is Hearer, Knower. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Allah has indeed heard (and accepted) the statement of the woman who pleads with thee concerning her husband and carries her complaint (in prayer) to Allah: and Allah (always) hears the arguments between both sides among you: for Allah hears and sees (all things). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Certainly has Allah heard the speech of the one who argues with you, [O Muhammad], concerning her husband and directs her complaint to Allah. And Allah hears your dialogue; indeed, Allah is Hearing and Seeing. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! Verily Allah has heard the words of the woman (She was Khawlah bint Tha‘labah) who was discussing the issue of her husband with you (who was Aws ibn Al-Ṣāmit) after he had done Ẓihār to her. She was complaining to Allah about what her husband had done to her, and Allah was listening to your exchange of words; nothing is hidden from Him, indeed, He is The Hearing of the speech of His servants and The Seeing of their actions; none of them are hidden from Him. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अल्लाह ने उस स्त्री की बात सुन ली जो अपने पति के विषय में तुमसे झगड़ रही है और अल्लाह से शिकायत किए जाती है। अल्लाह तुम दोनों की बातचीत सुन रहा है। निश्चय ही अल्लाह सब कुछ सुननेवाला, देखनेवाला है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ऐ रसूल जो औरत (ख़ुला) तुमसे अपने शौहर (उस) के बारे में तुमसे झगड़ती और ख़ुदा से गिले शिकवे करती है ख़ुदा ने उसकी बात सुन ली और ख़ुदा तुम दोनों की ग़ुफ्तगू सुन रहा है बेशक ख़ुदा बड़ा सुनने वाला देखने वाला है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अल्लाह ने उस महिला (अर्थात् ख़ौला बिंत सा'लबा) की बात सुन ली, जो (ऐ रसूल!) आपसे अपने पति (अर्थात् औस बिन सामित) के बारे में, जब उसने उससे 'ज़िहार' कर लिया था, बहस कर रही थी और उसके पति ने उसके साथ जो कुछ किया था, उसकी अल्लाह से शिकायत कर रही थी। और अल्लाह तुम दोनों की बात-चीत सुन रहा था। उसमें से कुछ भी उससे छिपा नहीं है। निःसंदेह अल्लाह अपने बंदों की बातों को सुनने वाला, उनके कर्मों को देखने वाला है। उससे कोई भी चीज़ छिपी नहीं रहती। |
| Ayah 2 |
| عَرَبِي | الَّذينَ يُظاهِرونَ مِنكُم مِن نِسائِهِم ما هُنَّ أُمَّهاتِهِم ۖ إِن أُمَّهاتُهُم إِلَّا اللّائي وَلَدنَهُم ۚ وَإِنَّهُم لَيَقولونَ مُنكَرًا مِنَ القَولِ وَزورًا ۚ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَعَفُوٌّ غَفورٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Allatheena yuthahiroona minkum min nisaihim ma hunna ommahatihim in ommahatuhum illa allaee waladnahum wainnahum layaqooloona munkaran mina alqawli wazooran wainna Allaha laAAafuwwun ghafoorun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Allazeena yuzaahiroona minkum min nisaaa'ihim maa hunnaa ummahaatihim in ummahaatuhum illal laaa'ee waladnahum; wa innaahum la yaqooloona munkaram minal qawli wa zooraa; wa innal laaha la'afuwwun ghafoor |
| English (Pickthall) | Such of you as put away your wives (by saying they are as their mothers) - They are not their mothers; none are their mothers except those who gave them birth - they indeed utter an ill word and a lie. And lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | If any men among you divorce their wives by Zihar (calling them mothers), they cannot be their mothers: None can be their mothers except those who gave them birth. And in fact they use words (both) iniquitous and false: but truly Allah is one that blots out (sins), and forgives (again and again). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Those who pronounce thihar among you [to separate] from their wives - they are not [consequently] their mothers. Their mothers are none but those who gave birth to them. And indeed, they are saying an objectionable statement and a falsehood. But indeed, Allah is Pardoning and Forgiving. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who do Ẓihār to their wives, by saying to them: “You are for me like the back of my mother”, have lied in this statement of theirs. Their wives are not their mothers; their mothers are only those women who gave birth to them, and when they make such statements they are uttering a disgusting, false statement. But indeed, Allah is overlooking and forgiving: He has legislated an atonement for you to free you of the sin. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | तुममें से जो लोग अपनी स्त्रियों से ज़िहार करते हैं, उनकी माएँ वे नहीं है, उनकी माएँ तो वही है जिन्होंने उनको जन्म दिया है। यह अवश्य है कि वे लोग एक अनुचित बात और झूठ कहते है। और निश्चय ही अल्लाह टाल जानेवाला अत्यन्त क्षमाशील है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तुम में से जो लोग अपनी बीवियों के साथ ज़हार करते हैं अपनी बीवी को माँ कहते हैं वह कुछ उनकी माएँ नहीं (हो जातीं) उनकी माएँ तो बस वही हैं जो उनको जनती हैं और वह बेशक एक नामाक़ूल और झूठी बात कहते हैं और ख़ुदा बेशक माफ करने वाला और बड़ा बख्शने वाला है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो लोग अपनी पत्नियों से 'ज़िहार' करते हैं; इस प्रकार कि उनमें से कोई अपनी पत्नी से कहता है : ''तुम मुझपर मेरी माँ की पीठ की तरह हो", वे अपनी इस बात में झूठे हैं। क्योंकि उनकी पत्नियाँ उनकी माँएँ नहीं हैं। बल्कि उनकी माँएँ केवल वे स्त्रियाँ हैं, जिन्होंने उन्हें जन्म दिया। वे इस तरह की बात कहकर निश्चित रूप से एक घृणित बात और झूठ कहते हैं। और अल्लाह बहुत माफ़ करने वाला, अत्यंत क्षमाशील है। इसलिए उसने उन्हें पाप से मुक्त करने हेतु उनके लिए 'कफ़्फ़ारा' (प्रायश्चित) का नियम बनाया है। |
| Ayah 3 |
| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ يُظاهِرونَ مِن نِسائِهِم ثُمَّ يَعودونَ لِما قالوا فَتَحريرُ رَقَبَةٍ مِن قَبلِ أَن يَتَماسّا ۚ ذٰلِكُم توعَظونَ بِهِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ بِما تَعمَلونَ خَبيرٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena yuthahiroona min nisaihim thumma yaAAoodoona lima qaloo fatahreeru raqabatin min qabli an yatamassa thalikum tooAAathoona bihi waAllahu bima taAAmaloona khabeerun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena yuzaahiroona min nisaaa'ihim summa ya'oodoona limaa qaaloo fatabreeru raqabatim min qabli any-yatamaaassaa; zaalikum too'azoona bih; wallaahu bimaa ta'maloona khabeer |
| English (Pickthall) | Those who put away their wives (by saying they are as their mothers) and afterward would go back on that which they have said, (the penalty) in that case (is) the freeing of a slave before they touch one another. Unto this ye are exhorted; and Allah is Informed of what ye do. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But those who divorce their wives by Zihar, then wish to go back on the words they uttered,- (It is ordained that such a one) should free a slave before they touch each other: Thus are ye admonished to perform: and Allah is well-acquainted with (all) that ye do. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And those who pronounce thihar from their wives and then [wish to] go back on what they said - then [there must be] the freeing of a slave before they touch one another. That is what you are admonished thereby; and Allah is Acquainted with what you do. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | It is necessary upon those who utter this disgusting statement and then intend to have sexual intercourse with the wife they did Ẓihār to, that they make amends by freeing a slave before they have intercourse. This aforementioned ruling you have been commanded to carry out is a reprimand for you for the Ẓihār. And Allah is aware of your actions; none of your actions are hidden from Him. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जो लोग अपनी स्त्रियों से ज़िहार करते हैं; फिर जो बात उन्होंने कही थी उससे रुजू करते है, तो इससे पहले कि दोनों एक-दूसरे को हाथ लगाएँ एक गर्दन आज़ाद करनी होगी। यह वह बात है जिसकी तुम्हें नसीहत की जाती है, और तुम जो कुछ करते हो अल्लाह उसकी ख़बर रखता है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जो लोग अपनी बीवियों से ज़हार कर बैठे फिर अपनी बात वापस लें तो दोनों के हमबिस्तर होने से पहले (कफ्फ़ारे में) एक ग़ुलाम का आज़ाद करना (ज़रूरी) है उसकी तुमको नसीहत की जाती है और तुम जो कुछ भी करते हो (ख़ुदा) उससे आगाह है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो लोग यह घृणित बात कहते हैं, फिर उन स्त्रियों के साथ संभोग करना चाहते हैं, जिनसे उन्होंने ज़िहार किया था, तो उनके लिए अनिवार्य है कि उनके साथ संभोग करने से पहले 'कफ़्फ़ारा' के तौर पर एक दास मुक्त करें। यह उक्त आदेश तुम्हें 'ज़िहार' से बाज़ रखने के लिए दिया जा रहा है। और अल्लाह तुम्हारे कार्यों से पूरी तरह अवगत है। उससे तुम्हारे कार्यों में से कुछ भी छिपा नहीं है। |
| Ayah 4 |
| عَرَبِي | فَمَن لَم يَجِد فَصِيامُ شَهرَينِ مُتَتابِعَينِ مِن قَبلِ أَن يَتَماسّا ۖ فَمَن لَم يَستَطِع فَإِطعامُ سِتّينَ مِسكينًا ۚ ذٰلِكَ لِتُؤمِنوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسولِهِ ۚ وَتِلكَ حُدودُ اللَّهِ ۗ وَلِلكافِرينَ عَذابٌ أَليمٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faman lam yajid fasiyamu shahrayni mutatabiAAayni min qabli an yatamassa faman lam yastatiAA faitAAamu sitteena miskeenan thalika lituminoo biAllahi warasoolihi watilka hudoodu Allahi walilkafireena AAathabun aleemun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Famal lam yajid fa siyaamu shahraini mutataabi'ayni min qabli any-yatamaaassaa famal lam yastati' fa-it'aamu sitteena miskeena; zaalika litu'minoo billaahi wa rasoolih'wa tilka hudoodul laah; wa lilkaafireena 'azaabun aleem |
| English (Pickthall) | And he who findeth not (the wherewithal), let him fast for two successive months before they touch one another; and for him who is unable to do so (the penance is) the feeding of sixty needy ones. This, that ye may put trust in Allah and His messenger. Such are the limits (imposed by Allah); and for disbelievers is a painful doom. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And if any has not (the wherewithal), he should fast for two months consecutively before they touch each other. But if any is unable to do so, he should feed sixty indigent ones, this, that ye may show your faith in Allah and His Messenger. Those are limits (set by) Allah. For those who reject (Him), there is a grievous Penalty. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And he who does not find [a slave] - then a fast for two months consecutively before they touch one another; and he who is unable - then the feeding of sixty poor persons. That is for you to believe [completely] in Allah and His Messenger; and those are the limits [set by] Allah. And for the disbelievers is a painful punishment. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So whoever cannot find a slave to free, it is necessary upon him to fast for two months consecutively before he has sexual intercourse with the wife he did Ẓihār to. Then, whoever is incapable of fasting for two months consecutively, should feed sixty poor people. This command I have given is so that you believe that Allah is the one who has commanded you with it and so you carry it out. These rulings that I legislate for you are My limits I have set for My servants, so do not trespass them. As for those who disbelieve in the commands of Allah and the limits He has set, they will face a painful punishment. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | किन्तु जिस किसी को ग़ुलाम प्राप्त न हो तो वह निरन्तर दो माह रोज़े रखे, इससे पहले कि वे दोनों एक-दूसरे को हाथ लगाएँ और जिस किसी को इसकी भी सामर्थ्य न हो तो साठ मुहताजों को भोजन कराना होगा। यह इसलिए कि तुम अल्लाह और उसके रसूल पर ईमानवाले सिद्ध हो सको। ये अल्लाह की निर्धारित की हुई सीमाएँ है। और इनकार करनेवाले के लिए दुखद यातना है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | फिर जिसको ग़ुलाम न मिले तो दोनों की मुक़ारबत के क़ब्ल दो महीने के पै दर पै रोज़े रखें और जिसको इसकी भी क़ुदरत न हो साठ मोहताजों को खाना खिलाना फर्ज़ है ये (हुक्म इसलिए है) ताकि तुम ख़ुदा और उसके रसूल की (पैरवी) तसदीक़ करो और ये ख़ुदा की मुक़र्रर हदें हैं और काफ़िरों के लिए दर्दनाक अज़ाब है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर तुममें से जो व्यक्ति मुक्त करने के लिए दास न पाए, तो उसे अपनी 'ज़िहार' की हुई पत्नी के साथ संभोग करने से पहले लगातार दो महीने तक रोज़े रखने हैं। फिर जो व्यक्ति लगातार दो महीनों तक रोज़ा रखने में असमर्थ है, उसे साठ ग़रीबों को खाना खिलाना है। यह आदेश जिसका हमने फैसला किया है, इसलिए है ताकि तुम यह विश्वास करो कि अल्लाह ने इसका आदेश दिया है, अतः तुम उसके आदेश का पालन करो और उसके रसूल का अनुसरण करो। ये नियम जो हमने तुम्हारे लिए बनाए हैं, अल्लाह की सीमाएँ हैं, जो उसने अपने बंदों के लिए निर्धारित की हैं। अतः उनका उल्लंघन न करो। और अल्लाह के नियमों तथा उसकी निर्धारित की हुई सीमाओं को नकारने वालों के लिए दर्दनाक यातना है। |
| Ayah 5 |
| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ الَّذينَ يُحادّونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسولَهُ كُبِتوا كَما كُبِتَ الَّذينَ مِن قَبلِهِم ۚ وَقَد أَنزَلنا آياتٍ بَيِّناتٍ ۚ وَلِلكافِرينَ عَذابٌ مُهينٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna allatheena yuhaddoona Allaha warasoolahu kubitoo kama kubita allatheena min qablihim waqad anzalna ayatin bayyinatin walilkafireena AAathabun muheenun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innal lazeena yuhaaaddoonal laaha wa Rasoolahoo kubitoo kamaa kubital lazeena min qablihim; wa qad anzalnaaa aayaatim baiyinaat; wa lilkaa fireena 'azaabum muheen |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! those who oppose Allah and His messenger will be abased even as those before them were abased; and We have sent down clear tokens, and for disbelievers is a shameful doom |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who resist Allah and His Messenger will be humbled to dust, as were those before them: for We have already sent down Clear Signs. And the Unbelievers (will have) a humiliating Penalty,- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, those who oppose Allah and His Messenger are abased as those before them were abased. And We have certainly sent down verses of clear evidence. And for the disbelievers is a humiliating punishment. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Indeed, those who regard Allah and His Messenger to be their enemies will be humiliated and exiled, just as the people of the past who regarded them as enemies were humiliated and exiled. Verily I have revealed clear verses, and those who disbelieve in Allah, His Messenger and His verses will face a humiliating punishment. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जो लोग अल्लाह और उसके रसूल का विरोध करते हैं, वे अपमानित और तिरस्कृत होकर रहेंगे, जैसे उनसे पहले के लोग अपमानित और तिरस्कृत हो चुके है। हमने स्पष्ट आयतें अवतरित कर दी है और इनकार करनेवालों के लिए अपमानजनक यातना है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | बेशक जो लोग ख़ुदा की और उसके रसूल की मुख़ालेफ़त करते हैं वह (उसी तरह) ज़लील किए जाएँगे जिस तरह उनके पहले लोग किए जा चुके हैं और हम तो अपनी साफ़ और सरीही आयतें नाज़िल कर चुके और काफिरों के लिए ज़लील करने वाला अज़ाब है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निश्चय जो लोग अल्लाह और उसके रसूल का विरोध करते हैं, वे उसी तरह अपमानित और तिरस्कृत किए जाएँगे, जैसा कि पिछले समुदायों में से उसका विरोध करने वालों को अपमानित और तिरस्कृत किया गया। हमने स्पष्ट निशानियाँ उतार दी हैं। और अल्लाह का तथा उसके रसूलों और उसकी निशानियों का इनकार करने वालों के लिए अपमानजनक यातना है। |
| Ayah 6 |
| عَرَبِي | يَومَ يَبعَثُهُمُ اللَّهُ جَميعًا فَيُنَبِّئُهُم بِما عَمِلوا ۚ أَحصاهُ اللَّهُ وَنَسوهُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ عَلىٰ كُلِّ شَيءٍ شَهيدٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yawma yabAAathuhumu Allahu jameeAAan fayunabbiohum bima AAamiloo ahsahu Allahu wanasoohu waAllahu AAala kulli shayin shaheedun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yawma yab'asuhumul laahu jamee'an fayunabbi'uhum bimaa 'amiloo; ahsaahul laahu wa nasooh; wallaahu 'alaa kulli shai'in shaheed |
| English (Pickthall) | On the day when Allah will raise them all together and inform them of what they did. Allah hath kept account of it while they forgot it. And Allah is Witness over all things. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | On the Day that Allah will raise them all up (again) and show them the Truth (and meaning) of their conduct. Allah has reckoned its (value), though they may have forgotten it, for Allah is Witness to all things. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | On the Day when Allah will resurrect them all and inform them of what they did. Allah had enumerated it, while they forgot it; and Allah is, over all things, Witness. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | On the day when Allah will resurrect them all, not leaving any of them out. He will then inform them of their shameful actions in the world which He recorded against them. He misses none of their actions, yet they themselves will forget them but find them having been recorded in their books of deeds, which leave no small or big deed unrecorded. And Allah is aware of everything; none of their actions remain hidden from Him. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जिस दिन अल्लाह उन सबको उठा खड़ा करेगा और जो कुछ उन्होंने किया होगा, उससे उन्हें अवगत करा देगा। अल्लाह ने उसकी गणना कर रखी है, और वे उसे भूले हुए है, और अल्लाह हर चीज़ का साक्षी है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जिस दिन ख़ुदा उन सबको दोबारा उठाएगा तो उनके आमाल से उनको आगाह कर देगा ये लोग (अगरचे) उनको भूल गये हैं मगर ख़ुदा ने उनको याद रखा है और ख़ुदा तो हर चीज़ का गवाह है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जिस दिन अल्लाह उन सभी लोगों को मरणोपरांत पुनर्जीवित करेगा, उनमें से किसी को नहीं छोड़ेगा। फिर उन्हें उनके दुनिया में किए हुए बुरे कर्मों से सूचित करेगा। अल्लाह ने उनके कर्मों को संरक्षित कर रखा है। इसलिए उनके कामों में से कुछ भी उससे नहीं छूटा है। जबकि वे खुद उसे भूल गए। चुनाँचे वे उसे अपने उन कर्मपत्रों में लिखा हुआ पाएँगे, जो हर छोटे-बड़े कर्म को सुरक्षित रखते हैं। और अल्लाह हर चीज़ से अवगत है, उनके कर्मों में से कुछ भी उससे छिपा नहीं है। |
| Ayah 7 |
| عَرَبِي | أَلَم تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَعلَمُ ما فِي السَّماواتِ وَما فِي الأَرضِ ۖ ما يَكونُ مِن نَجوىٰ ثَلاثَةٍ إِلّا هُوَ رابِعُهُم وَلا خَمسَةٍ إِلّا هُوَ سادِسُهُم وَلا أَدنىٰ مِن ذٰلِكَ وَلا أَكثَرَ إِلّا هُوَ مَعَهُم أَينَ ما كانوا ۖ ثُمَّ يُنَبِّئُهُم بِما عَمِلوا يَومَ القِيامَةِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيءٍ عَليمٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Alam tara anna Allaha yaAAlamu ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi ma yakoonu min najwa thalathatin illa huwa rabiAAuhum wala khamsatin illa huwa sadisuhum wala adna min thalika wala akthara illa huwa maAAahum ayna ma kanoo thumma yunabbiohum bima AAamiloo yawma alqiyamati inna Allaha bikulli shayin AAaleemun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Alam tara annal laaha ya'lamu maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil ardi maa yakoonu min najwaa salaasatin illaa Huwa raabi'uhum wa laa khamsatin illaa huwa saadisuhum wa laaa adnaa min zaalika wa laaa aksara illaa huwa ma'ahum ayna, maa kaanoo summa yunabbi'uhum bimaa 'amiloo yawmal qiyaamah; innal laaha bikulli shai'in aleem |
| English (Pickthall) | Hast thou not seen that Allah knoweth all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth? There is no secret conference of three but He is their fourth, nor of five but He is their sixth, nor of less than that or more but He is with them wheresoever they may be; and afterward, on the Day of Resurrection, He will inform them of what they did. Lo! Allah is Knower of all things. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Seest thou not that Allah doth know (all) that is in the heavens and on earth? There is not a secret consultation between three, but He makes the fourth among them, - Nor between five but He makes the sixth,- nor between fewer nor more, but He is in their midst, wheresoever they be: In the end will He tell them the truth of their conduct, on the Day of Judgment. For Allah has full knowledge of all things. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Have you not considered that Allah knows what is in the heavens and what is on the earth? There is in no private conversation three but that He is the fourth of them, nor are there five but that He is the sixth of them - and no less than that and no more except that He is with them [in knowledge] wherever they are. Then He will inform them of what they did, on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed Allah is, of all things, Knowing. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! Do you not see that Allah knows everything that is in the heavens and everything on Earth; nothing within them is hidden from Him? No three people talk among themselves except that Allah (may He be glorified) is the fourth among them through His knowledge; nor do five people talk among themselves except that He may He be glorified is the sixth among them through His knowledge; nor any less or any more than these numbers, except that Allah is with them through His knowledge wherever they may be. No speech of theirs remains hidden from Him; He will then inform them of their actions on the Day of Judgement. Indeed, He knows everything; nothing is hidden from Him. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | क्या तुमने इसको नहीं देखा कि अल्लाह जानता है जो कुछ आकाशों में है और जो कुछ धरती में है। कभी ऐसा नहीं होता कि तीन आदमियों की गुप्त वार्ता हो और उनके बीच चौथा वह (अल्लाह) न हो। और न पाँच आदमियों की होती है जिसमें छठा वह न होता हो। और न इससे कम की कोई होती है और न इससे अधिक की भी, किन्तु वह उनके साथ होता है, जहाँ कहीं भी वे हो; फिर जो कुछ भी उन्होंने किया होगा क़ियामत के दिन उससे वह उन्हें अवगत करा देगा। निश्चय ही अल्लाह को हर चीज़ का ज्ञान है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | क्या तुमको मालूम नहीं कि जो कुछ आसमानों में है और जो कुछ ज़मीन में है (ग़रज़ सब कुछ) ख़ुदा जानता है जब तीन (आदमियों) का ख़ुफिया मशवेरा होता है तो वह (ख़ुद) उनका ज़रूर चौथा है और जब पाँच का मशवेरा होता है तो वह उनका छठा है और उससे कम हो या ज्यादा और चाहे जहाँ कहीं हो वह उनके साथ ज़रूर होता है फिर जो कुछ वह (दुनिया में) करते रहे क़यामत के दिन उनको उससे आगाह कर देगा बेशक ख़ुदा हर चीज़ से ख़ूब वाक़िफ़ है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ऐ रसूल! क्या आपने नहीं देखा कि अल्लाह आकाशों तथा धरती की सभी चीज़ों को जानता है। उन दोनों में उपस्थित चीज़ों में से कोई चीज़ उससे छिपी हुई नहीं है। किसी तीन लोगों की गुप्त रूप से कोई बात-चीत नहीं होती, परंतु वह महामहिम (अल्लाह) अपने ज्ञान के साथ उनका चौथा होता है। तथा किसी पाँच लोगों की गुप्त रूप से कोई बात-चीत नहीं होती, परंतु वह महामहिम (अल्लाह) अपने ज्ञान के साथ उनका छठा होता है। तथा इस संख्या से कम या इससे अधिक लोगों की गुप्त रूप से कोई बात-चीत नहीं होती, परंतु वह अपने ज्ञान के साथ उनके साथ होता है, चाहे वे जहाँ कहीं भी रहें। उनकी बातों में से कुछ भी उससे छिपा नहीं है। फिर अल्लाह उन्हें क़ियामत के दिन उनके कर्मों के बारे में बताएगा। निश्चय अल्लाह हर वस्तु को जानने वाला है। उससे कोई वस्तु छिपी नहीं है। निश्चय अल्लाह हर वस्तु को जानने वाला है। |
| Ayah 8 |
| عَرَبِي | أَلَم تَرَ إِلَى الَّذينَ نُهوا عَنِ النَّجوىٰ ثُمَّ يَعودونَ لِما نُهوا عَنهُ وَيَتَناجَونَ بِالإِثمِ وَالعُدوانِ وَمَعصِيَتِ الرَّسولِ وَإِذا جاءوكَ حَيَّوكَ بِما لَم يُحَيِّكَ بِهِ اللَّهُ وَيَقولونَ في أَنفُسِهِم لَولا يُعَذِّبُنَا اللَّهُ بِما نَقولُ ۚ حَسبُهُم جَهَنَّمُ يَصلَونَها ۖ فَبِئسَ المَصيرُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Alam tara ila allatheena nuhoo AAani alnnajwa thumma yaAAoodoona lima nuhoo AAanhu wayatanajawna bialithmi waalAAudwani wamaAAsiyati alrrasooli waitha jaooka hayyawka bima lam yuhayyika bihi Allahu wayaqooloona fee anfusihim lawla yuAAaththibuna Allahu bima naqoolu hasbuhum jahannamu yaslawnaha fabisa almaseeru |

| English (Pickthall) | Hast thou not observed those who were forbidden conspiracy and afterward returned to that which they had been forbidden, and (now) conspire together for crime and wrongdoing and disobedience toward the messenger? And when they come unto thee they greet thee with a greeting wherewith Allah greeteth thee not, and say within themselves: Why should Allah punish us for what we say? Hell will suffice them; they will feel the heat thereof - a hapless journey's end! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Turnest thou not thy sight towards those who were forbidden secret counsels yet revert to that which they were forbidden (to do)? And they hold secret counsels among themselves for iniquity and hostility, and disobedience to the Messenger. And when they come to thee, they salute thee, not as Allah salutes thee, (but in crooked ways): And they say to themselves, "Why does not Allah punish us for our words?" Enough for them is Hell: In it will they burn, and evil is that destination! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Have you not considered those who were forbidden from private conversation, then they return to that which they were forbidden and converse among themselves about sin and aggression and disobedience to the Messenger? And when they come to you, they greet you with that [word] by which Allah does not greet you and say among themselves, "Why does Allah not punish us for what we say?" Sufficient for them is Hell, which they will [enter to] burn, and wretched is the destination. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! Do you not see the Jews who used to secretly whisper when they would see a believer, then Allah prohibited them from such whispering, but they would return to committing exactly that which Allah prohibited them from: secretly discussing sin among themselves i.e. backbiting the believers, inciting people against them, and disobedience to the Messenger. O Messenger! When they come to they greet you with a greeting Allah has not taught you to greet with, i.e. by saying: ‘As-sāmu ‘alayk’ meaning ‘death be upon you’, and they say, rejecting the Prophet (peace be upon him): “Why does Allah not punish us for what we say? Because if he was truthful in his claim that he is a Prophet, Allah would have punished us for what we say about him!” Hell is enough of a punishment for them for what they say; they will definitely suffer its heat. What an evil outcome they will face! |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | क्या तुमने नहीं देखा जिन्हें कानाफूसी से रोका गया था, फिर वे वही करते रहे जिससे उन्हें रोका गया था। वे आपस में गुनाह और ज़्यादती और रसूल की अवज्ञा की कानाफूसी करते है। और जब तुम्हारे पास आते है तो तुम्हारे प्रति अभिवादन के ऐसे शब्द प्रयोग में लाते है जो शब्द अल्लाह ने तुम्हारे लिए अभिवादन के लिए नहीं कहे। और अपने जी में कहते है, "जो कुछ हम कहते है उसपर अल्लाह हमें यातना क्यों नहीं देता?" उनके लिए जहन्नम ही काफ़ी है जिसमें वे प्रविष्ट होंगे। वह तो बहुत बुरी जगह है, अन्त नें पहुँचने की! |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | क्या तुमने उन लोगों को नहीं देखा जिनको सरगोशियाँ करने से मना किया गया ग़रज़ जिस काम की उनको मुमानिअत की गयी थी उसी को फिर करते हैं और (लुत्फ़ तो ये है कि) गुनाह और (बेजा) ज्यादती और रसूल की नाफरमानी की सरगोशियाँ करते हैं और जब तुम्हारे पास आते हैं तो जिन लफ्ज़ों से ख़ुदा ने भी तुम को सलाम नहीं किया उन लफ्ज़ों से सलाम करते हैं और अपने जी में कहते हैं कि (अगर ये वाक़ई पैग़म्बर हैं तो) जो कुछ हम कहते हैं ख़ुदा हमें उसकी सज़ा क्यों नहीं देता (ऐ रसूल) उनको दोज़ख़ ही (की सज़ा) काफी है जिसमें ये दाख़िल होंगे तो वह (क्या) बुरी जगह है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्या (ऐ रसूल!) आपने उन यहूदियों को नहीं देखा, जो अगर किसी मोमिन को देखते, तो कानाफूसी करने लगते थे। अतः अल्लाह ने उन्हें कानाफूसी से मना कर दिया। लेकिन वे फिर वही काम करते हैं, जिससे अल्लाह ने उन्हें मना किया था और वे आपस में ऐसी कानाफूसियाँ करते हैं, जिनमें गुनाह होता है, जैसे मुसलमानों की ग़ीबत करना, तथा जिनमें मुसलमानों पर अत्याचार होता है, और जिनमें रसूल की अवज्ञा होती है। और जब वे (ऐ रसूल!) आपके पास आते हैं, तो ऐसे शब्दों से आपको सलाम करते हैं, जिनसे अल्लाह ने आपको सलाम नहीं किया है। चुनाँचे वे कहते हैं : "अस्सामु अलैका" इससे उनका मतलब यह होता है कि आपको मौत आए। तथा वे नबी सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम को झुठलाने के लिए कहते हैं : हम जो कुछ कहते हैं, उसपर अल्लाह हमें यातना क्यों नहीं देता। क्योंकि अगर वह अपने नबी होने के दावे में सच्चा होता, तो हम जो कुछ उसके बारे में कहते हैं, उसके कारण अल्लाह हमें अवश्य दंडित करता! उन्होंने जो कुछ कहा है उसपर सज़ा के तौर पर उन्हें जहन्नम ही काफी है। वे उसकी गर्मी को झेलेंगे। अतः उनका ठिकाना बहुत बुरा ठिकाना है। |
| Ayah 9 |
| عَرَبِي | يا أَيُّهَا الَّذينَ آمَنوا إِذا تَناجَيتُم فَلا تَتَناجَوا بِالإِثمِ وَالعُدوانِ وَمَعصِيَتِ الرَّسولِ وَتَناجَوا بِالبِرِّ وَالتَّقوىٰ ۖ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ الَّذي إِلَيهِ تُحشَرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo itha tanajaytum fala tatanajaw bialithmi waalAAudwani wamaAAsiyati alrrasooli watanajaw bialbirri waalttaqwa waittaqoo Allaha allathee ilayhi tuhsharoona |

Do not secretly discuss things that incur sin, incite enmity against, or disobedience to the Messenger, in case you become like the Jews. Rather, discuss things that lead to obedience to Allah and refraining from His disobedience. And be mindful of Allah by fulfilling His commands and refraining from the things He has not allowed, because He alone is the one towards whom you will be gathered on the Day of Judgement for accountability and requital. |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّمَا النَّجوىٰ مِنَ الشَّيطانِ لِيَحزُنَ الَّذينَ آمَنوا وَلَيسَ بِضارِّهِم شَيئًا إِلّا بِإِذنِ اللَّهِ ۚ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَليَتَوَكَّلِ المُؤمِنونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Innama alnnajwa mina alshshaytani liyahzuna allatheena amanoo walaysa bidarrihim shayan illa biithni Allahi waAAala Allahi falyatawakkali almuminoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innaman najwaa minash shaitaani liyahzunal lazeena aamanoo wa laisa bidaaarrihim shai'an illaa bi-iznil laah; wa 'alal laahi falyatawakkalil mu'minoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! Conspiracy is only of the devil, that he may vex those who believe; but he can harm them not at all unless by Allah's leave. In Allah let believers put their trust. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Secret counsels are only (inspired) by the Evil One, in order that he may cause grief to the Believers; but he cannot harm them in the least, except as Allah permits; and on Allah let the Believers put their trust. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Private conversation is only from Satan that he may grieve those who have believed, but he will not harm them at all except by permission of Allah. And upon Allah let the believers rely. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Secret discussions that contain sin, inciting enmity and disobedience to the Messenger are only the result of Satan adorning and whispering to his associates, so that he can cause grief to the believers that they are being plotted against. However, neither Satan nor his beautification of things will harm the believers in any way, except if Allah wills and intends it. So it is upon Allah that the believers should rely in all their affairs. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वह कानाफूसी तो केवल शैतान की ओर से है, ताकि वह उन्हें ग़म में डाले जो ईमान लाए है। हालाँकि अल्लाह की अवज्ञा के बिना उसे कुछ भी हानि पहुँचाने की सामर्थ्य प्राप्त नहीं। और ईमानवालों को तो अल्लाह ही पर भरोसा रखना चाहिए |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (बरी बातों की) सरगोशी तो बस एक शैतानी काम है (और इसलिए करते हैं) ताकि ईमानदारों को उससे रंज पहुँचे हालॉकि ख़ुदा की तरफ से आज़ादी दिए बग़ैर सरगोशी उनका कुछ बिगाड़ नहीं सकती और मोमिनीन को तो ख़ुदा ही पर भरोसा रखना चाहिए |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निश्चित रूप से - गुनाह, अत्याचार और रसूल की अवज्ञा पर आधारित - कानाफूसी शैतान की ओर से अपने दोस्तों के लिए उसे शोभित करके प्रस्तुत करने और फुसफुसाने के कारण है। ताकि वह ईमान वालों को इस बात से शोकाकुल कर दे कि उनके विरुद्ध चाल चली जा रही है। हालाँकि शैतान और उसका यह सुशोभीकरण, अल्लाह की मर्ज़ी और इच्छा के बिना ईमान वालों को कुछ भी नुक़सान नहीं पहुँचा सकता। और ईमान वालों को अपने सभी मामलों में अल्लाह ही पर भरोसा करना चाहिए। |

| عَرَبِي | يا أَيُّهَا الَّذينَ آمَنوا إِذا قيلَ لَكُم تَفَسَّحوا فِي المَجالِسِ فَافسَحوا يَفسَحِ اللَّهُ لَكُم ۖ وَإِذا قيلَ انشُزوا فَانشُزوا يَرفَعِ اللَّهُ الَّذينَ آمَنوا مِنكُم وَالَّذينَ أوتُوا العِلمَ دَرَجاتٍ ۚ وَاللَّهُ بِما تَعمَلونَ خَبيرٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo itha qeela lakum tafassahoo fee almajalisi faifsahoo yafsahi Allahu lakum waitha qeela onshuzoo faonshuzoo yarfaAAi Allahu allatheena amanoo minkum waallatheena ootoo alAAilma darajatin waAllahu bima taAAmaloona khabeerun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yaaa ayyuhal lazeena aamanoo izaa qeela lakum tafassahoo fil majaalisi fafsahoo yafsahil laahu lakum wa izaa qeelan shuzoo fanshuzoo yarfa'il laahul lazeena aamanoo minkum wallazeena ootul 'ilma darajaat; wallaahu bimaa ta'maloona khabeer |
| English (Pickthall) | O ye who believe! when it is said unto you, Make room! in assemblies, then make room; Allah will make way for you (hereafter). And when it is said, Come up higher! go up higher; Allah will exalt those who believe among you, and those who have knowledge, to high ranks. Allah is Informed of what ye do. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | O ye who believe! When ye are told to make room in the assemblies, (spread out and) make room: (ample) room will Allah provide for you. And when ye are told to rise up, rise up Allah will rise up, to (suitable) ranks (and degrees), those of you who believe and who have been granted (mystic) Knowledge. And Allah is well-acquainted with all ye do. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | O you who have believed, when you are told, "Space yourselves" in assemblies, then make space; Allah will make space for you. And when you are told, "Arise," then arise; Allah will raise those who have believed among you and those who were given knowledge, by degrees. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | After Allah mentioned the etiquette of speech, He mentions the etiquette of gatherings, and says: O those who have faith in Allah and act upon what Allah has legislated for them! When you are told: “Make space in gatherings”, then make space; Allah will create ease for you in your worldly lives and in the afterlife. And when you are told: “Leave from so and so gathering so that people of virtue may take part in them”, leave those gatherings; Allah (may He be glorified) will raise in great stature those who have faith among you and those blessed with knowledge. And Allah is the knower of whatever you do; none of your actions are hidden from Him, and He will requite you for them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | ऐ ईमान लानेवालो! जब तुमसे कहा जाए कि मजलिसों में जगह कुशादा कर दे, तो कुशादगी पैदा कर दो। अल्लाह तुम्हारे लिए कुशादगी पैदा करेगा। और जब कहा जाए कि उठ जाओ, तो उठ जाया करो। तुममें से जो लोग ईमान लाए है और उन्हें ज्ञान प्रदान किया गया है, अल्लाह उनके दरजों को उच्चता प्रदान करेगा। जो कुछ तुम करते हो अल्लाह उसकी पूरी ख़बर रखता है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ऐ ईमानदारों जब तुमसे कहा जाए कि मजलिस में जगह कुशादा करो वह तो कुशादा कर दिया करो ख़ुदा तुमको कुशादगी अता करेगा और जब तुमसे कहा जाए कि उठ खड़े हो तो उठ खड़े हुआ करो जो लोग तुमसे ईमानदार हैं और जिनको इल्म अता हुआ है ख़ुदा उनके दर्जे बुलन्द करेगा और ख़ुदा तुम्हारे सब कामों से बेख़बर है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ऐ अल्लाह पर ईमान रखने वालो और उसकी शरीयत पर अमल करने वालो! जब तुमसे कहा जाए कि मजलिसों (बैठकों) में जगह कुशादा कर दो, तो उनमें जगह बना दिया करो। अल्लाह तुम्हारे सांसारिक जीवन तथा आख़िरत में तुम्हारे लिए विस्तार पैदा करेगा। और जब तुमसे कहा जाए : कुछ मजलिसों से उठ जाओ, ताकि वहाँ प्रतिष्ठित लोग बैठ सकें, तो वहाँ से उठ जाया करो। अल्लाह तुममें से उन लोगों के दर्जों (पदों) को बहुत ऊँचा करेगा, जो ईमान लाए और जो ज्ञान दिए गए। और अल्लाह तुम्हारे कार्यों से पूरी तरह अवगत है। उससे तुम्हारे कार्यों में से कुछ भी छिपा नहीं है। और वह तुम्हें उनका बदला देगा। |
| Ayah 12 |
| عَرَبِي | يا أَيُّهَا الَّذينَ آمَنوا إِذا ناجَيتُمُ الرَّسولَ فَقَدِّموا بَينَ يَدَي نَجواكُم صَدَقَةً ۚ ذٰلِكَ خَيرٌ لَكُم وَأَطهَرُ ۚ فَإِن لَم تَجِدوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفورٌ رَحيمٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo itha najaytumu alrrasoola faqaddimoo bayna yaday najwakum sadaqatan thalika khayrun lakum waatharu fain lam tajidoo fainna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yaaa ayyuhal lazeena aamanooo izaa naajitumur Rasoola faqaddimoo baina yadai najwaakum sadaqah; zaalika khairul lakum wa athar; fa il lam tajidoo fa innal laaha ghafoorur Raheem |
| English (Pickthall) | O ye who believe! When ye hold conference with the messenger, offer an alms before your conference. That is better and purer for you. But if ye cannot find (the wherewithal) then lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | O ye who believe! When ye consult the Messenger in private, spend something in charity before your private consultation. That will be best for you, and most conducive to purity (of conduct). But if ye find not (the wherewithal), Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | O you who have believed, when you [wish to] privately consult the Messenger, present before your consultation a charity. That is better for you and purer. But if you find not [the means] - then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O those who have faith in Allah and act upon what He has legislated for them! When you intend to talk privately with the Messenger, give some charity before you talk in private with him. That giving in charity will be better and purer for you because of being an act of obedience to Allah that purifies the hearts. But if you do not find anything you can give in charity, there is no harm in you talking in private with him, because Allah Forgiving of the sins of His servants and He is merciful towards them by not burdening them except with what they are capable of. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | ऐ ईमान लानेवालो! जब तुम रसूल से अकेले में बात करो तो अपनी गुप्त वार्ता से पहले सदक़ा दो। यह तुम्हारे लिए अच्छा और अधिक पवित्र है। फिर यदि तुम अपने को इसमें असमर्थ पाओ, तो निश्चय ही अल्लाह बड़ा क्षमाशील, अत्यन्त दयावान है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ऐ ईमानदारों जब पैग़म्बर से कोई बात कान में कहनी चाहो तो कुछ ख़ैरात अपनी सरगोशी से पहले दे दिया करो यही तुम्हारे वास्ते बेहतर और पाकीज़ा बात है पस अगर तुमको इसका मुक़दूर न हो तो बेशक ख़ुदा बड़ा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जब सहाबा नबी सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम से बहुत ज़्यादा कानाफूसी करने लगे, तो अल्लाह ने फरमाया : ऐ ईमान वालो! जब तुम रसूल से गुप्त रूप से बात करना चाहो, तो गुप्त रूप से बात करने से पहले सदक़ा पेश करो। यह सदक़ा पेश करना तुम्हारे लिए उत्तम और अधिक पवित्र है। क्योंकि उसमें अल्लाह का आज्ञापालन है, जो दिलों को शुद्ध (पवित्र) करता है। अगर तुम्हें सदक़ा करने के लिए कुछ न मिले, तो उनसे गुप्त रूप से बात करने में तुमपर कोई गुनाह नहीं है। क्योंकि अल्लाह अपने बंदों के गुनाहों को माफ़ करने वाला और उनपर दया करने वाला है। यही कारण है कि उसने उन्हें केवल उसी चीज़ का बाध्य किया है,जो वे कर सकते हैं। |
| Ayah 13 |
| عَرَبِي | أَأَشفَقتُم أَن تُقَدِّموا بَينَ يَدَي نَجواكُم صَدَقاتٍ ۚ فَإِذ لَم تَفعَلوا وَتابَ اللَّهُ عَلَيكُم فَأَقيمُوا الصَّلاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكاةَ وَأَطيعُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسولَهُ ۚ وَاللَّهُ خَبيرٌ بِما تَعمَلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Aashfaqtum an tuqaddimoo bayna yaday najwakum sadaqatin faith lam tafAAaloo wataba Allahu AAalaykum faaqeemoo alssalata waatoo alzzakata waateeAAoo Allaha warasoolahu waAllahu khabeerun bima taAAmaloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | 'A-ashfaqtum an tuqaddimoo baina yadai najwaakum sadaqaat; fa-iz lam taf'aloo wa taabal laahu 'alaikum fa aqeemus Salaata wa aatuz Zakaata wa atee'ul laaha wa rasoolah; wallaahu khabeerum bimaa ta'maloon |
| English (Pickthall) | Fear ye to offer alms before your conference? Then, when ye do it not and Allah hath forgiven you, establish worship and pay the poor-due and obey Allah and His messenger. And Allah is Aware of what ye do. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Is it that ye are afraid of spending sums in charity before your private consultation (with him)? If, then, ye do not so, and Allah forgives you, then (at least) establish regular prayer; practise regular charity; and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Have you feared to present before your consultation charities? Then when you do not and Allah has forgiven you, then [at least] establish prayer and give zakah and obey Allah and His Messenger. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Do you fear poverty by presenting charity before talking privately with the Messenger? So when you do not do that which Allah commanded you to do, and Allah forgave you by allowing you not to give in charity, now perform prayer to perfection, give Zakat on your wealth, and obey Allah and His Messenger. Allah is aware of your actions; nothing is hidden from Him and He will soon requite you for them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | क्या तुम इससे डर गए कि अपनी गुप्त वार्ता से पहले सदक़े दो? जो जब तुमने यह न किया और अल्लाह ने तुम्हें क्षमा कर दिया. तो नमाज़ क़ायम करो, ज़कात देते रहो और अल्लाह और उसके रसूल की आज्ञा का पालन करो। और तुम जो कुछ भी करते हो अल्लाह उसकी पूरी ख़बर रखता है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (मुसलमानों) क्या तुम इस बात से डर गए कि (रसूल के) कान में बात कहने से पहले ख़ैरात कर लो तो जब तुम लोग (इतना सा काम) न कर सके और ख़ुदा ने तुम्हें माफ़ कर दिया तो पाबन्दी से नमाज़ पढ़ो और ज़कात देते रहो और ख़ुदा उसके रसूल की इताअत करो और जो कुछ तुम करते हो ख़ुदा उससे बाख़बर है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्या तुम रसूल से सरगोशी करने से पहले सदक़ा देने के कारण गरीबी से डर गए? सो, यदि तुमने अल्लाह के इस आदेश का पालन नहीं किया, और अल्लाह ने तुम्हें क्षमा कर दिया कि इसे छोड़ने की छूट प्रदान कर दी, तो अब तुम उत्तम तरीक़े से नमाज़ क़ायम करो, अपने धन की ज़कात दो, तथा अल्लाह एवं उसके रसूल का अनुसरण करो। अल्लाह तुम्हारे कार्यों से पूरी तरह अवगत है। उससे तुम्हारा कोई काम छिपा नहीं है। और वह तुम्हें तुम्हारे कर्मों का बदला देगा। |
| Ayah 14 |
| عَرَبِي | ۞ أَلَم تَرَ إِلَى الَّذينَ تَوَلَّوا قَومًا غَضِبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيهِم ما هُم مِنكُم وَلا مِنهُم وَيَحلِفونَ عَلَى الكَذِبِ وَهُم يَعلَمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Alam tara ila allatheena tawallaw qawman ghadiba Allahu AAalayhim ma hum minkum wala minhum wayahlifoona AAala alkathibi wahum yaAAlamoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Alam tara ilal lazeena tawallaw qawman ghadibal laahu 'alaihim maa hum minkum wa laa minhum wa yahlifoona 'alal kazibi wa hum ya'lamoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Hast thou not seen those who take for friends a folk with whom Allah is wroth? They are neither of you nor of them, and they swear a false oath knowingly. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Turnest thou not thy attention to those who turn (in friendship) to such as have the Wrath of Allah upon them? They are neither of you nor of them, and they swear to falsehood knowingly. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Have you not considered those who make allies of a people with whom Allah has become angry? They are neither of you nor of them, and they swear to untruth while they know [they are lying]. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! Do you not see the hypocrites who befriend the Jews whom Allah is angry with due to their disbelief and sins? These hypocrites are neither from the believers nor from the Jews; rather, they are uncertain between the two: neither are they on one side nor the other. Yet they will swear that they are Muslims and that they did not relate information about the Muslims to the Jews, but they are liars despite their oaths. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | क्या तुमने उन लोगों की हालत पर ग़ौर नहीं किया जो उन लोगों से दोस्ती करते हैं जिन पर ख़ुदा ने ग़ज़ब ढाया है तो अब वह न तुम मे हैं और न उनमें ये लोग जानबूझ कर झूठी बातो पर क़समें खाते हैं और वह जानते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्या (ऐ रसूल) आपने उन मुनाफ़िक़ो (पाखंडियों) को नहीं देखा, जिन्होंने उन यहूदियों को मित्र बना लिया, जिनपर उनके कुफ़्र और पापों के कारण अल्लाह क्रोधित हुआ? ये मुनाफ़िक़ न तो मोमिनों में से हैं और न यहूदियों में से। बल्कि वे दुविधा में पड़े हुए हैं, न इधर के हैं, न उधर के। तथा वे क़समें खाते हैं कि वे मुसलमान हैं, और उन्होंने मुसलमानों की सूचनाएँ यहूदियों को नहीं पहुँचाई हैं। जबकि वे अपनी क़सम में झूठे हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | أَعَدَّ اللَّهُ لَهُم عَذابًا شَديدًا ۖ إِنَّهُم ساءَ ما كانوا يَعمَلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | aAAadda Allahu lahum AAathaban shadeedan innahum saa ma kanoo yaAAmaloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | A'addal laahu lahum 'azaaban shadeedan innahum saaa'a maa kaanoo ya'maloon |
| English (Pickthall) | Allah hath prepared for them a dreadful doom. Evil indeed is that which they are wont to do. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Allah has prepared for them a severe Penalty: evil indeed are their deeds. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Allah has prepared for them a severe punishment. Indeed, it was evil that they were doing. |

| Ayah 16 |
| عَرَبِي | اتَّخَذوا أَيمانَهُم جُنَّةً فَصَدّوا عَن سَبيلِ اللَّهِ فَلَهُم عَذابٌ مُهينٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ittakhathoo aymanahum junnatan fasaddoo AAan sabeeli Allahi falahum AAathabun muheenun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ittakhazooo aymaanahum junnatan fasaddoo 'an sabeelil laahi falahum 'azaabum muheen |
| English (Pickthall) | They make a shelter of their oaths and turn (men) from the way of Allah; so theirs will be a shameful doom. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They have made their oaths a screen (for their misdeeds): thus they obstruct (men) from the Path of Allah: therefore shall they have a humiliating Penalty. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | They took their [false] oaths as a cover, so they averted [people] from the way of Allah, and for them is a humiliating punishment. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They take the oaths they swear as protection against being killed due to disbelief, by outwardly showing Islam to protect their lives and wealth. So they turn the people away from the truth by belittling and hindering the Muslims. Therefore, they will face a humiliating punishment which will humiliate and shame them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उन्होंने अपनी क़समों को ढाल बना रखा है। अतः वे अल्लाह के मार्ग से (लोगों को) रोकते है। तो उनके लिए रुसवा करनेवाली यातना है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | उन लोगों ने अपनी क़समों को सिपर बना लिया है और (लोगों को) ख़ुदा की राह से रोक दिया तो उनके लिए रूसवा करने वाला अज़ाब है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उन्होंने अपनी क़समों को, जो वे खाया करते थे, कुफ़्र के कारण क़त्ल होने से बचने के लिए ढाल बना ली, क्योंकि उन्होंने क़समों के माध्यम से अपनी जान और माल की रक्षा के लिए मुसलमान होने का दिखावा किया। इस तरह उन्होंने लोगों को सत्य से फेर दिया। क्योंकि वे मुसलमानों को कमज़ोर और हतोत्साहित करते थे। अतः उनके लिए अपमानजनक यातना है, जो उन्हें अपमानित और तिरस्कृत करेगी। |
| Ayah 17 |
| عَرَبِي | لَن تُغنِيَ عَنهُم أَموالُهُم وَلا أَولادُهُم مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيئًا ۚ أُولٰئِكَ أَصحابُ النّارِ ۖ هُم فيها خالِدونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Lan tughniya AAanhum amwaluhum wala awladuhum mina Allahi shayan olaika ashabu alnnari hum feeha khalidoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Lan tughniya 'anhum amwaaluhum wa laaa awladuhum minal laahi shai'aa; ulaaa 'ika As haabun Naari hum feehaa khaalidoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Their wealth and their children will avail them naught against Allah. Such are rightful owners of the Fire; they will abide therein. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Of no profit whatever to them, against Allah, will be their riches nor their sons: they will be Companions of the Fire, to dwell therein (for aye)! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Never will their wealth or their children avail them against Allah at all. Those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उनके धन और उनकी संतान अल्लाह के समक्ष उनके कुछ काम न आएँगे। ये लोग जहन्नम के वासी हैं, जो उसमें प्रवेश करेंगे और उसी में हमेशा के लिए रहेंगे, उनकी यातना कभी बंद नहीं होगी। |
| Ayah 18 |
| عَرَبِي | يَومَ يَبعَثُهُمُ اللَّهُ جَميعًا فَيَحلِفونَ لَهُ كَما يَحلِفونَ لَكُم ۖ وَيَحسَبونَ أَنَّهُم عَلىٰ شَيءٍ ۚ أَلا إِنَّهُم هُمُ الكاذِبونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yawma yabAAathuhumu Allahu jameeAAan fayahlifoona lahu kama yahlifoona lakum wayahsaboona annahum AAala shayin ala innahum humu alkathiboona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yawma yab'asuhumul laahujamee'an fa yahlifoona lahoo kamaa yahlifoona lakum wa yahsaboona annahum 'alaa shai'; alaaa innahum humul kaaziboon |
| English (Pickthall) | On the day when Allah will raise them all together, then will they swear unto Him as they (now) swear unto you, and they will fancy that they have some standing. Lo! is it not they who are the liars? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | One day will Allah raise them all up (for Judgment): then will they swear to Him as they swear to you: And they think that they have something (to stand upon). No, indeed! they are but liars! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | On the Day Allah will resurrect them all, and they will swear to Him as they swear to you and think that they are [standing] on something. Unquestionably, it is they who are the liars. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Remember the day when Allah will resurrect them all for requital, not leaving any of them out. They will swear in front of Allah that they were not upon disbelief nor hypocrisy; rather they were only believers who acted in accordance to the pleasure of Allah. They will take oaths in front of Him in the afterlife just as they would take oaths in front of you, O believers, in the world that they were believers. They will think that by taking these oaths in front of Allah they will be in a position to bring some benefit to themselves or prevent some harm falling upon themselves. Know well that indeed, they are true liars in their oaths in the world and in the afterlife. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जिस दिन अल्लाह उन सबको उठाएगा तो वे उसके सामने भी इसी तरह क़समें खाएँगे, जिस तरह तुम्हारे सामने क़समें खाते है और समझते हैं कि वे किसी बुनियाद पर है। सावधान रहो, निश्चय ही वही झूठे है! |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जिस दिन ख़ुदा उन सबको दोबार उठा खड़ा करेगा तो ये लोग जिस तरह तुम्हारे सामने क़समें खाते हैं उसी तरह उसके सामने भी क़समें खाएँगे और ख्याल करते हैं कि वह राहे सवाब पर हैं आगाह रहो ये लोग यक़ीनन झूठे हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जिस दिन अल्लाह उन सबको बदले के लिए पुनर्जीवित करके उठाएगा, उनमें से किसी को भी नहीं छोड़ेगा, तो वे अल्लाह के सामने क़समें खाएँगे कि वे कुफ़्र और निफ़ाक़ पर नहीं थे। बल्कि, वे अल्लाह को प्रसन्न करने वाले काम करने वाले मोमिन थे। वे आख़िरत में अल्लाह के सामने क़समें खाएँगे, जैसे कि वे दुनिया में (ऐ मोमिनो) तुम्हारे सामने कसमें खाकर कहते थे कि वे मुसलमान हैं। वे समझेंगे कि इन क़समों की वजह से जो वे अल्लाह के सामने खा रहे हैं, किसी ऐसे आधार पर हैं, जो उन्हें कोई लाभ पहुँचाएगा, या उनसे कोई नुकसान दूर कर देगा। सुन लो, वे वही हैं जो वास्तव में दुनिया में भी अपनी क़समों में तथा आखिरत में भी अपनी क़समों में झूठे हैं। |
| Ayah 19 |
| عَرَبِي | استَحوَذَ عَلَيهِمُ الشَّيطانُ فَأَنساهُم ذِكرَ اللَّهِ ۚ أُولٰئِكَ حِزبُ الشَّيطانِ ۚ أَلا إِنَّ حِزبَ الشَّيطانِ هُمُ الخاسِرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Istahwatha AAalayhimu alshshaytanu faansahum thikra Allahi olaika hizbu alshshaytani ala inna hizba alshshaytani humu alkhasiroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Istahwaza 'alaihimush shaitaanu fa ansaahum zikral laah; ulaaa'ika hizbush shaitaaan; alaaa innaa hizbash shaitaani humul khaasiroon |
| English (Pickthall) | The devil hath engrossed them and so hath caused them to forget remembrance of Allah. They are the devil's party. Lo! is it not the devil's party who will be the losers? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The Evil One has got the better of them: so he has made them lose the remembrance of Allah. They are the Party of the Evil One. Truly, it is the Party of the Evil One that will perish! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Satan has overcome them and made them forget the remembrance of Allah. Those are the party of Satan. Unquestionably, the party of Satan - they will be the losers. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Satan has taken control over them and through his whispers, has made them forget the remembrance of Allah, so they do not act to earn His pleasure, but only do those things that incur His wrath. They are the party of Iblīs and his followers. Know well that indeed, the party of Iblīs and his followers are the losers in the world and the afterlife, because they have sold guidance in exchange for deviance, and Paradise for the hellfire. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उनपर शैतान ने पूरी तरह अपना प्रभाव जमा लिया है। अतः उसने अल्लाह की याद को उनसे भुला दिया। वे शैतान की पार्टीवाले हैं। सावधान रहो शैतान की पार्टीवाले ही घाटे में रहनेवाले हैं! |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | शैतान ने इन पर क़ाबू पा लिया है और ख़ुदा की याद उनसे भुला दी है ये लोग शैतान के गिरोह है सुन रखो कि शैतान का गिरोह घाटा उठाने वाला है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | शैतान उनपर हावी हो गया है और उन्हें अपने वसवसे के ज़रिए अल्लाह की याद भुला दी है। इसलिए उन्होंने अल्लाह को खुश करने वाले कार्य नहीं किए। बल्कि ऐसे कार्य किए जो उसे नाराज़ करने वाले हैं। इन विशेषताओं वाले लोग ही इबलीस के सैनिक और उसके अनुयायी हैं। सुन लो, निश्चय इबलीस के सैनिक और उसके अनुयायी ही दुनिया और आख़िरत में क्षति उठाने वाले हैं। क्योंकि उन्होंने मार्गदर्शन को गुमराही के बदले में और जन्नत को जहन्नम के बदले में बेच दिया है। |
| Ayah 20 |
| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ الَّذينَ يُحادّونَ اللَّهَ وَرَسولَهُ أُولٰئِكَ فِي الأَذَلّينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna allatheena yuhaddoona Allaha warasoolahu olaika fee alathalleena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innal lazeena yuhaaaddoonal laaha wa Rasoolahooo ulaaa'ika fil azalleen |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! those who oppose Allah and His messenger, they will be among the lowest. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who resist Allah and His Messenger will be among those most humiliated. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, the ones who oppose Allah and His Messenger - those will be among the most humbled. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Indeed, those who regard Allah and His Messenger as enemies are some of the ones whom Allah will humiliate in the world and the afterlife, and the ones who are the most dishonourable from the disbelieving nations. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निःसंदेह जो लोग अल्लाह और उसके रसूल का विरोध करते हैं, वही लोग उन काफ़िर समुदायों में शामिल हैं, जिन्हें अल्लाह ने दुनिया एवं आख़िरत में अपमानित और तिरस्कृत किया है। |
| Ayah 21 |
| عَرَبِي | كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَأَغلِبَنَّ أَنا وَرُسُلي ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَوِيٌّ عَزيزٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Kataba Allahu laaghlibanna ana warusulee inna Allaha qawiyyun AAazeezun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Katabal laahu la aghlibanna ana wa Rusulee; innal laaha qawiyyun 'Azeez |
| English (Pickthall) | Allah hath decreed: Lo! I verily shall conquer, I and My messengers. Lo! Allah is Strong, Almighty. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Allah has decreed: "It is I and My messengers who must prevail": For Allah is One full of strength, able to enforce His Will. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Allah has written, "I will surely overcome, I and My messengers." Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Allah has decreed in His prevailing knowledge that He and His messengers will definitely be victorious over His enemies with strength and evidence. Indeed, Allah has the power to help His messengers, and is the Almighty who can take retribution from His enemies. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अल्लाह ने अपने पूर्व ज्ञान के आधार पर निर्णय कर दिया है कि निश्चित रूप से मैं और मेरे रसूल ही तर्क और शक्ति के साथ अपने दुश्मनों पर विजयी रहेंगे। निश्चय अल्लाह अपने रसूलों की सहायता करने पर सर्वशक्तिमान, प्रभुत्ववशाली है, जो उनके दुश्मनों से बदला लेता है। |
| Ayah 22 |
| عَرَبِي | لا تَجِدُ قَومًا يُؤمِنونَ بِاللَّهِ وَاليَومِ الآخِرِ يُوادّونَ مَن حادَّ اللَّهَ وَرَسولَهُ وَلَو كانوا آباءَهُم أَو أَبناءَهُم أَو إِخوانَهُم أَو عَشيرَتَهُم ۚ أُولٰئِكَ كَتَبَ في قُلوبِهِمُ الإيمانَ وَأَيَّدَهُم بِروحٍ مِنهُ ۖ وَيُدخِلُهُم جَنّاتٍ تَجري مِن تَحتِهَا الأَنهارُ خالِدينَ فيها ۚ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنهُم وَرَضوا عَنهُ ۚ أُولٰئِكَ حِزبُ اللَّهِ ۚ أَلا إِنَّ حِزبَ اللَّهِ هُمُ المُفلِحونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | La tajidu qawman yuminoona biAllahi waalyawmi alakhiri yuwaddoona man hadda Allaha warasoolahu walaw kanoo abaahum aw abnaahum aw ikhwanahum aw AAasheeratahum olaika kataba fee quloobihimu aleemana waayyadahum biroohin minhu wayudkhiluhum jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu khalideena feeha radiya Allahu AAanhum waradoo AAanhu olaika hizbu Allahi ala inna hizba Allahi humu almuflihoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Laa tajidu qawmany yu'minoona billaahi wal yawmil aakhiri yuwaaaddoona man haaaddal laaha wa Rasoolahoo wa law kaanooo aabaaa'ahum aw abnaaa'ahum aw ikhwaa nahum aw 'asheeratahum; ulaaa'ika kataba fee quloobihi mul eemaana wa ayyadahum biroohimminhu wa yudkhilu hum jannatin tajree min tahtihal anhaaru khaalideena feehaa; radiyal laahu 'anhum wa radoo 'anh; ulaaa 'ika hizbul laah; alaaa inna hizbal laahi humul muflihoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Thou wilt not find folk who believe in Allah and the Last Day loving those who oppose Allah and His messenger, even though they be their fathers or their sons or their brethren or their clan. As for such, He hath written faith upon their hearts and hath strengthened them with a Spirit from Him, and He will bring them into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide. Allah is well pleased with them, and they are well pleased with Him. They are Allah's party. Lo! is it not Allah's party who are the successful? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Thou wilt not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day, loving those who resist Allah and His Messenger, even though they were their fathers or their sons, or their brothers, or their kindred. For such He has written Faith in their hearts, and strengthened them with a spirit from Himself. And He will admit them to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, to dwell therein (for ever). Allah will be well pleased with them, and they with Him. They are the Party of Allah. Truly it is the Party of Allah that will achieve Felicity. |

Those - He has decreed within their hearts faith and supported them with spirit from Him. And We will admit them to gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they abide eternally. Allah is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him - those are the party of Allah. Unquestionably, the party of Allah - they are the successful. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! You will not find a people believing in Allah and in the Day of Judgement, who love and befriend those who regard Allah and His Messenger as enemies, even though these enemies of Allah and His messengers happen to be their fathers, sons, brothers, or tribe members they affiliate themselves to. This is because faith prevents them from befriending the enemies of Allah and His Messenger, and because the connection of faith is greater than all connections, so it is to be given priority at times of conflict. Those who do not befriend the enemies of Allah and His Messenger - even if they are their own relatives - are the ones in whose hearts Allah has established faith such that they do not waver, and has strengthened with His proof and light. He will also enter them on the Day of Judgement into everlasting gardens, under the palaces and trees of which rivers flow, and in which they shall live forever, without its luxuries ever finishing or them ever becoming extinct. Allah is pleased with them to a degree that He will never be displeased with them afterwards, and they are also pleased with Him because of Him having given them favours which will never finish, one of which is the ability to see Him may He be glorified. They are the party of Allah that fulfils whatever He commands and refrain from the things He does not allow. Know well that indeed, the party of Allah are the ones who will succeed by achieving their objective and remaining safe from their fears in the world and the afterlife. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | तुम उन लोगों को ऐसा कभी नहीं पाओगे जो अल्लाह और अन्तिम दि पर ईमान रखते है कि वे उन लोगों से प्रेम करते हो जिन्होंने अल्लाह और उसके रसूल का विरोध किया, यद्यपि वे उनके अपने बाप हों या उनके अपने बेटे हो या उनके अपने भाई या उनके अपने परिवारवाले ही हो। वही लोग हैं जिनके दिलों में अल्लाह ने ईमान को अंकित कर दिया है और अपनी ओर से एक आत्मा के द्वारा उन्हें शक्ति दी है। और उन्हें वह ऐसे बाग़ों में दाख़िल करेगा जिनके नीचे नहरें बह रही होंगी; जहाँ वे सदैव रहेंगे। अल्लाह उनसे राज़ी हुआ और वे भी उससे राज़ी हुए। वे अल्लाह की पार्टी के लोग है। सावधान रहो, निश्चय ही अल्लाह की पार्टीवाले ही सफल है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जो लोग ख़ुदा और रोज़े आख़ेरत पर ईमान रखते हैं तुम उनको ख़ुदा और उसके रसूल के दुश्मनों से दोस्ती करते हुए न देखोगे अगरचे वह उनके बाप या बेटे या भाई या ख़ानदान ही के लोग (क्यों न हों) यही वह लोग हैं जिनके दिलों में ख़ुदा ने ईमान को साबित कर दिया है और ख़ास अपने नूर से उनकी ताईद की है और उनको (बेहिश्त में) उन (हरे भरे) बाग़ों में दाखिल करेगा जिनके नीचे नहरे जारी है (और वह) हमेश उसमें रहेंगे ख़ुदा उनसे राज़ी और वह ख़ुदा से ख़ुश यही ख़ुदा का गिरोह है सुन रखो कि ख़ुदा के गिरोग के लोग दिली मुरादें पाएँगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | आप (ऐ नबी) उन लोगों को जो अल्लाह एवं क़ियामत के दिन पर ईमान रखते हैं, ऐसा नहीं पाएँगे कि वे उन लोगों से प्रेम करते और मित्रता रखते हों, जो अल्लाह और उसके रसूल से दुश्मनी रखते हैं, यद्यपि ये अल्लाह और उसके रसूल के दुश्मन उनके पिता, या उनके पुत्र, या उनके भाई, या उनके क़बीले वाले ही क्यों न हों, जिनसे वे संबंधित होते हैं। क्योंकि ईमान अल्लाह और उसके रसूल के दुश्मनों से मित्रता रखने से रोकता है, और क्योंकि ईमान का बंधन सभी बंधनों से सर्वोपरि है। अतः, टकराव के समय ईमान के बंधन को प्राथमिकता दी जाएगी। जो लोग अल्लाह और उसके रसूल से दुश्मनी रखने वालों से मित्रता नहीं रखते - भले ही वे इनके रिश्तेदार हों - , यही वे लोग हैं, जिनके दिलों में अल्लाह ने ईमान को जमा दिया है, इसलिए वह परिवर्तित नहीं होता। तथा उन्हें अपने प्रमाण और प्रकाश के साथ मज़बूत कर दिया है। और उन्हें क़ियामत के दिन सदैव रहने वाली जन्नतों में दाखिल करेगा, जिनके महलों और पेड़ों के नीचे से नहरे बहती होंगी। वे हमेशा के लिए वहीं रहेंगे। उनकी नेमतें उनसे बाधित नहीं होंगी और न ही वे (स्वयं) उससे नाश होंगे। अल्लाह उनसे इस तरह प्रसन्न हो गया कि उसके बाद कभी भी नाराज़ नहीं होगा। तथा वे भी अल्लाह से प्रसन्न हो गए, क्योंकि उसने उन्हें ऐसी नेमतें प्रदान कीं, जो कभी ख़त्म नहीं होंगी, जिनमें अल्लाह महिमावान् को देखना भी शामिल है। उक्त विशेषताओं से विशिष्ट लोग ही अल्लाह की सेना हैं, जो अल्लाह के आदेशों का पालन करते हैं और उसके निषेधों से दूर रहते हैं। सुन लो, निश्चय अल्लाह के सैनिक ही दुनिया और आख़िरत में अपनी अपेक्षित चीज़ों को पाने में, तथा अपनी घृणित व भयावह चीज़ों से बचने में सफल होने वाले हैं। |
