The Atharvaveda
English Translation

Welcome to the electronic text of Maurice Bloomfield's English translation of the Atharvaveda (Sacred Books of the East, Volume 42, 1897), together with extracts from the ritual books and commentaries.

The translation is divided into ten logical sections corresponding to the major thematic groupings of the hymns. Each file (00.html to 10.html) contains the complete English rendering of the hymns belonging to that section, following Bloomfield's arrangement.
