| عَرَبِي | تَبارَكَ الَّذي نَزَّلَ الفُرقانَ عَلىٰ عَبدِهِ لِيَكونَ لِلعالَمينَ نَذيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Tabaraka allathee nazzala alfurqana AAala AAabdihi liyakoona lilAAalameena natheeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Tabaarakal lazee nazzalal Furqaana 'alaa 'abdihee li yakoona lil'aalameena nazeera |
| English (Pickthall) | Blessed is He Who hath revealed unto His slave the Criterion (of right and wrong), that he may be a warner to the peoples. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Blessed is He who sent down the criterion to His servant, that it may be an admonition to all creatures;- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Blessed is He who sent down the Criterion upon His Servant that he may be to the worlds a warner - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Blessed is Allah who revealed the Qur’ān as a standard distinguishing between truth and falsehood, onto His servant and Messenger Muhammad peace be upon him, so that he could be a Messenger towards the humans and the jinn, and a warner to them of the punishment of Allah. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | बड़ी बरकतवाला है वह जिसने यह फ़ुरक़ान अपने बन्दे पर अवतरित किया, ताकि वह सारे संसार के लिए सावधान करनेवाला हो |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (ख़ुदा) बहुत बाबरकत है जिसने अपने बन्दे (मोहम्मद) पर कुरान नाज़िल किया ताकि सारे जहॉन के लिए (ख़ुदा के अज़ाब से) डराने वाला हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उस अस्तित्व की भलाई बहुत अधिक और बहुल है, जिसने अपने बंदे और रसूल मुहम्मद सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम पर सत्य और असत्य के बीच अंतर करने वाला क़ुरआन उतारा, ताकि वह मानव जाति और जिन्न की ओर, उन्हें अल्लाह की यातना से डराने वाला रसूल हो जाए। |
| Ayah 2 |
| عَرَبِي | الَّذي لَهُ مُلكُ السَّماواتِ وَالأَرضِ وَلَم يَتَّخِذ وَلَدًا وَلَم يَكُن لَهُ شَريكٌ فِي المُلكِ وَخَلَقَ كُلَّ شَيءٍ فَقَدَّرَهُ تَقديرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Allathee lahu mulku alssamawati waalardi walam yattakhith waladan walam yakun lahu shareekun fee almulki wakhalaqa kulla shayin faqaddarahu taqdeeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Allazee lahoo mulkus samaawaati wal ardi wa lam yattakhiz waladanw wa lam yakul lahoo shareekun filmulki wa khalaqa kulla shai'in faqaddarahoo taqdeeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | He unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, He hath chosen no son nor hath He any partner in the Sovereignty. He hath created everything and hath meted out for it a measure. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: no son has He begotten, nor has He a partner in His dominion: it is He who created all things, and ordered them in due proportions. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and who has not taken a son and has not had a partner in dominion and has created each thing and determined it with [precise] determination. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The One to Whom alone belongs authority over the heavens and earth, Who did not beget a child, nor has any partner in His authority, Who created everything appropriately and foresaw its creation according to His knowledge and wisdom to perfection. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वह जिसका राज्य है आकाशों और धरती पर, और उसने न तो किसी को अपना बेटा बनाया और न राज्य में उसका कोई साझी है। उसने हर चीज़ को पैदा किया; फिर उसे ठीक अन्दाजें पर रखा |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | वह खुदा कि सारे आसमान व ज़मीन की बादशाहत उसी की है और उसने (किसी को) न अपना लड़का बनाया और न सल्तनत में उसका कोई शरीक है और हर चीज़ को (उसी ने पैदा किया) फिर उस अन्दाज़े से दुरुस्त किया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वह अस्तित्व कि केवल उसी के लिए आकाशों और धरती का राज्य है। उसने कोई संतान नहीं बनाई। और उसके राज्य में कभी उसका कोई शरीक नहीं रहा है। तथा उसने सारी चीज़ों को पैदा किया, और अपने ज्ञान एवं हिकमत के अनुसार उनकी रचना का ऐसा अंदाज़ा नियत किया, जो उनके लिए उपयुक्त हो। |
| Ayah 3 |
| عَرَبِي | وَاتَّخَذوا مِن دونِهِ آلِهَةً لا يَخلُقونَ شَيئًا وَهُم يُخلَقونَ وَلا يَملِكونَ لِأَنفُسِهِم ضَرًّا وَلا نَفعًا وَلا يَملِكونَ مَوتًا وَلا حَياةً وَلا نُشورًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waittakhathoo min doonihi alihatan la yakhluqoona shayan wahum yukhlaqoona wala yamlikoona lianfusihim darran wala nafAAan wala yamlikoona mawtan wala hayatan wala nushooran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wattakhazoo min dooniheee aahihatal laa yakhluqoona shai'anw wa hum yukhlaqoona wa laa yamlikoona li anfusihim darranw wa laa naf'anw wa laa yamlikoona mawtanw wa laa hayaatanw wa laa nushooraa |
| English (Pickthall) | Yet they choose beside Him other gods who create naught but are themselves created, and possess not hurt nor profit for themselves, and possess not death nor life, nor power to raise the dead. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Yet have they taken, besides him, gods that can create nothing but are themselves created; that have no control of hurt or good to themselves; nor can they control death nor life nor resurrection. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But they have taken besides Him gods which create nothing, while they are created, and possess not for themselves any harm or benefit and possess not [power to cause] death or life or resurrection. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Instead of Allah, the idolaters adopted deities who cannot create anything small or large, but are themselves created. Verily, Allah created them from non-existence; they are unable to fend off any harm from themselves nor bring themselves any benefit, nor are they able to cause death to any living or give life to any dead, or raise the dead from their graves. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | फिर भी उन्होंने उससे हटकर ऐसे इष्ट -पूज्य बना लिए जो किसी चीज़ को पैदा नहीं करते, बल्कि वे स्वयं पैदा किए जाते है। उन्हें न तो अपनी हानि का अधिकार प्राप्त है और न लाभ का। और न उन्हें मृत्यु का अधिकार प्राप्त है और न जीवन का और न दोबारा जीवित होकर उठने का |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और लोगों ने उसके सिवा दूसरे दूसरे माबूद बना रखें हैं जो कुछ भी पैदा नहीं कर सकते बल्कि वह खुद दूसरे के पैदा किए हुए हैं और वह खुद अपने लिए भी न नुक़सान पर क़ाबू रखते हैं न नफा पर और न मौत ही पर एख़्तियार रखते हैं और न ज़िन्दगी पर और न मरने बाद जी उठने पर |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | मुश्रिकों ने अल्लाह को छोड़कर ऐसे पूज्य बना लिए, जो कोई भी छोटी या बड़ी चीज़ नहीं पैदा कर सकते। बल्कि वे स्वयं पैदा किए जाते हैं। अल्लाह ने उन्हें अनस्तित्व से अस्तित्व प्रदान किया है। वे अपने किसी हानि को दूर करने, या अपने लिए कोई लाभ प्राप्त करने की भी शक्ति नहीं रखते। वे न किसी जीवित को मार सकते और न किसी मृत को जीवित कर सकते। तथा वे मुर्दों को उनकी क़ब्रों से उठा भी नहीं सकते। |
| Ayah 4 |
| عَرَبِي | وَقالَ الَّذينَ كَفَروا إِن هٰذا إِلّا إِفكٌ افتَراهُ وَأَعانَهُ عَلَيهِ قَومٌ آخَرونَ ۖ فَقَد جاءوا ظُلمًا وَزورًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waqala allatheena kafaroo in hatha illa ifkun iftarahu waaAAanahu AAalayhi qawmun akharoona faqad jaoo thulman wazooran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa qaalal lazeena kafarooo in haazaaa illaaa ifkunif taraahu wa a'aanahoo 'alaihi qawmun aakharoona faqad jaaa'oo zulmanw wa zooraa |
| English (Pickthall) | Those who disbelieve say: This is naught but a lie that he hath invented, and other folk have helped him with it, so that they have produced a slander and a lie. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But the misbelievers say: "Naught is this but a lie which he has forged, and others have helped him at it." In truth it is they who have put forward an iniquity and a falsehood. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And those who disbelieve say, "This [Qur'an] is not except a falsehood he invented, and another people assisted him in it." But they have committed an injustice and a lie. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And those who disbelieved in Allah and His Messenger said: “This Qur’ān is nothing but a lie which Muhammad has fabricated and blasphemously attributed to Allah. Other people have also helped him in its fabrication”. These disbelievers themselves have made a false statement, because the Qur’ān is the speech of Allah; it is impossible for humans and jinn to come up anything like it. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जिन लोगों ने इनकार किया उनका कहना है, "यह तो बस मनघड़ंत है जो उसने स्वयं ही घड़ लिया है। और कुछ दूसरे लोगों ने इस काम में उसकी सहायता की है।" वे तो ज़ुल्म और झूठ ही के ध्येय से आए |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जो लोग काफिर हो गए बोल उठे कि ये (क़ुरान) तो निरा झूठ है जिसे उस शख्स (रसूल) ने अपने जी से गढ़ लिया और कुछ और लोगों ने इस इफतिरा परवाज़ी में उसकी मदद भी की है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और अल्लाह एवं उसके रसूल के साथ कुफ़्र करने वालों ने कहा : यह क़ुरआन केवल एक झूठ है, जिसे मुह़म्मद ने गढ़ लिया है और झूठमूठ अल्लाह से संबद्ध कर दिया है। इसे गढ़ने में अन्य लोगों ने भी उसका साथ दिया है। निश्चय इन काफ़िरों ने एक असत्य बात गढ़ी है। क्योंकि क़ुरआन अल्लाह की वाणी है। कोई इनसान या जिन्न इस तरह की वाणी कदापि नहीं ला सकता। |
| Ayah 5 |
| عَرَبِي | وَقالوا أَساطيرُ الأَوَّلينَ اكتَتَبَها فَهِيَ تُملىٰ عَلَيهِ بُكرَةً وَأَصيلًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waqaloo asateeru alawwaleena iktatabaha fahiya tumla AAalayhi bukratan waaseelan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa qaalooo asaateerul awwaleenak tatabahaa fahiya tumlaa 'alaihi bukratanw wa aseelaa |
| English (Pickthall) | And they say: Fables of the men of old which he hath had written down so that they are dictated to him morn and evening. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And they say: "Tales of the ancients, which he has caused to be written: and they are dictated before him morning and evening." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And they say, "Legends of the former peoples which he has written down, and they are dictated to him morning and afternoon." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And these rejecters of the Qur’ān said, “The Qur’ān is vain tales of the previous people which they used to record; Muhammad has copied them. They are recited to him throughout the day”. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | कहते है, "ये अगलों की कहानियाँ है, जिनको उसने लिख लिया है तो वही उसके पास प्रभात काल और सन्ध्या समय लिखाई जाती है।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो यक़ीनन ख़ुद उन ही लोगों ने ज़ुल्म व फरेब किया है और (ये भी) कहा कि (ये तो) अगले लोगों के ढकोसले हैं जिसे उसने किसी से लिखवा लिया है पस वही सुबह व शाम उसके सामने पढ़ा जाता है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और इन क़ुरआन को झुठलाने वालों ने कहा : क़ुरआन पहले लोगों की कहानियाँ और उनकी लिखी हुई बे सिर पैर की बातें हैं। मुहम्मद ने उन्हें लिखवा लिया है और वही उनके सामने सुबह-शाम पढ़ी जाती हैं।. |
| Ayah 6 |
| عَرَبِي | قُل أَنزَلَهُ الَّذي يَعلَمُ السِّرَّ فِي السَّماواتِ وَالأَرضِ ۚ إِنَّهُ كانَ غَفورًا رَحيمًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qul anzalahu allathee yaAAlamu alssirra fee alssamawati waalardi innahu kana ghafooran raheeman |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qul anzalhul lazee ya'lamus sirra fis samaawaati wal-ard; innahoo kaana Ghafoorar Raheemaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Say (unto them, O Muhammad): He who knoweth the secret of the heavens and the earth hath revealed it. Lo! He ever is Forgiving, Merciful. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Say: "The (Qur'an) was sent down by Him who knows the mystery (that is) in the heavens and the earth: verily He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Say, [O Muhammad], "It has been revealed by He who knows [every] secret within the heavens and the earth. Indeed, He is ever Forgiving and Merciful." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! Say to these rejecters: The Qur’ān was revealed by Allah, Who knows of everything in the heavens and earth. It is not made up as you think it to be. Indeed, Allah Forgiving of those of His servants who repent, and is merciful to them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | कहो, "उसे अवतरित किया है उसने, जो आकाशों और धरती के रहस्य जानता है। निश्चय ही वह बहुत क्षमाशील, अत्यन्त दयावान है।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (ऐ रसूल) तुम कह दो कि इसको उस शख्स ने नाज़िल किया है जो सारे आसमान व ज़मीन की पोशीदा बातों को ख़ूब जानता है बेशक वह बड़ा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल!) इन झुठलाने वालों से कह दें : क़ुरआन को उस अल्लाह ने उतारा है, जो आकाशों और धरती की हर बात को जानता है। क़ुरआन गढ़ा हुआ नहीं है, जैसा कि तुमने दावा किया है। फिर उन्हें तौबा की प्रेरणा देते हुए कहा : अल्लाह अपने तौबा करने वाले बंदों को माफ़ करने वाला, उनपर दया करने वाला है। |
| Ayah 7 |
| عَرَبِي | وَقالوا مالِ هٰذَا الرَّسولِ يَأكُلُ الطَّعامَ وَيَمشي فِي الأَسواقِ ۙ لَولا أُنزِلَ إِلَيهِ مَلَكٌ فَيَكونَ مَعَهُ نَذيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waqaloo mali hatha alrrasooli yakulu alttaAAama wayamshee fee alaswaqi lawla onzila ilayhi malakun fayakoona maAAahu natheeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa qaaloo maa li haazar Rasooli yaakulut ta'aama wa yamshee fil aswaaq; law laaa unzila ilaihi malakun fa yakoona ma'ahoo nazeeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And they say: What aileth this messenger (of Allah) that he eateth food and walketh in the markets? Why is not an angel sent down unto him, to be a warner with him. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And they say: "What sort of a messenger is this, who eats food, and walks through the streets? Why has not an angel been sent down to him to give admonition with him? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And they say, "What is this messenger that eats food and walks in the markets? Why was there not sent down to him an angel so he would be with him a warner? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The idolaters who rejected the Prophet peace be upon him said, “What is wrong with this man that claims he is a messenger from Allah when he eats food just as other people do, and walks around the markets in search of livelihood? Why did Allah not send an angel with him who would accompany him, proclaim his truthfulness and help him?” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उनका यह भी कहना है, "इस रसूल को क्या हुआ कि यह खाना खाता है और बाज़ारों में चलता-फिरता है? क्यों न इसकी ओर कोई फ़रिश्ता उतरा कि वह इसके साथ रहकर सावधान करता? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और उन लोगों ने (ये भी) कहा कि ये कैसा रसूल है जो खाना खाता है और बाज़ारों में चलता है फिरता है उसके पास कोई फरिश्ता क्यों नहीं नाज़िल होता कि वह भी उसके साथ (ख़ुदा के अज़ाब से) डराने वाला होता |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | नबी सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम को झुठलाने वाले मुश्रिकों ने कहा : यह व्यक्ति जो अल्लाह की ओर से रसूल होने का दावा करता है, इसे क्या है कि अन्य लोगों की तरह खाना खाता है और रोज़ी की तलाश में बाज़ारों में चलता-फिरता है? अल्लाह ने इसके साथ कोई फ़रिश्ता क्यों न उतारा, जो इसके साथ रहकर इसकी पुष्टि करता और इसका सहयोग करता? |
| Ayah 8 |
| عَرَبِي | أَو يُلقىٰ إِلَيهِ كَنزٌ أَو تَكونُ لَهُ جَنَّةٌ يَأكُلُ مِنها ۚ وَقالَ الظّالِمونَ إِن تَتَّبِعونَ إِلّا رَجُلًا مَسحورًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Aw yulqa ilayhi kanzun aw takoonu lahu jannatun yakulu minha waqala alththalimoona in tattabiAAoona illa rajulan mashooran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Aw yulqaaa ilaihi kanzun aw takoonu lahoo jannatuny yaakulu minhaa; wa qaalaz zaalimoona in tattabi'oona illaa rajulam mas hooraa |
| English (Pickthall) | Or (why is not) treasure thrown down unto him, or why hath he not a paradise from whence to eat? And the evil-doers say: Ye are but following a man bewitched. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "Or (Why) has not a treasure been bestowed on him, or why has he (not) a garden for enjoyment?" The wicked say: "Ye follow none other than a man bewitched." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Or [why is not] a treasure presented to him [from heaven], or does he [not] have a garden from which he eats?" And the wrongdoers say, "You follow not but a man affected by magic." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | “Or send down a treasure for him from the heavens, or that he has a garden from which he eats fruits, so that he does not need to walk around the markets in search of livelihood?” The oppressors also said, “O believers! You are not following any messenger; you are only following a man whose intellect has been overwhelmed by magic.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | या इसकी ओर कोई ख़ज़ाना ही डाल दिया जाता या इसके पास कोई बाग़ होता, जिससे यह खाता।" और इन ज़ालिमों का कहना है, "तुम लोग तो बस एक ऐसे व्यक्ति के पीछे चल रहे हो जो जादू का मारा हुआ है!" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (कम से कम) इसके पास ख़ज़ाना ही ख़ज़ाना ही (आसमान से) गिरा दिया जाता या (और नहीं तो) उसके पास कोई बाग़ ही होता कि उससे खाता (पीता) और ये ज़ालिम (कुफ्फ़ार मोमिनों से) कहते हैं कि तुम लोग तो बस ऐसे आदमी की पैरवी करते हो जिस पर जादू कर दिया गया है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | या उसपर आकाश से कोई खज़ाना उतारा जाता, या उसके पास कोई बाग़ होता, जिसके वह फल खाता और रोज़ी की तलाश में बाज़ारों के चक्कर लगाने से बच जाता। तथा इन ज़ालिमों ने यह भी कहा : (ऐ मोमिनो!) तुम किसी रसूल का पालन नहीं करते। बल्कि एक ऐसे व्यक्ति का अनुसरण कर रहे हो, जो जादू के असर से विवेकहीन हो गया है। |
| Ayah 9 |
| عَرَبِي | انظُر كَيفَ ضَرَبوا لَكَ الأَمثالَ فَضَلّوا فَلا يَستَطيعونَ سَبيلًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Onthur kayfa daraboo laka alamthala fadalloo fala yastateeAAoona sabeelan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Unzur kaifa daraboo lakal amsaala fadalloo falaa yastatee'oona sabeelaa |
| English (Pickthall) | See how they coin similitudes for thee, so that they are all astray and cannot find a road! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | See what kinds of comparisons they make for thee! But they have gone astray, and never a way will they be able to find! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Look how they strike for you comparisons; but they have strayed, so they cannot [find] a way. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! You should see and be amazed at how they can describe you with such false attributes, i.e. they said, “He is a magician”, “He has been spellbound”, and “He is insane”, so they deviated from the truth because of that. They are incapable of treading the path towards guidance and of questioning your truthfulness and honesty. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | देखों, उन्होंने तुमपर कैसी-कैसी फब्तियाँ कसीं। तो वे बहक गए है। अब उनमें इसकी सामर्थ्य नहीं कि कोई मार्ग पा सकें! |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (ऐ रसूल) ज़रा देखो तो कि इन लोगों ने तुम्हारे वास्ते कैसी कैसी फबत्तियां गढ़ी हैं और गुमराह हो गए तो अब ये लोग किसी तरह राह पर आ ही नहीं सकते |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल!) उनका यह आश्चर्यजनक रवैया देखिए कि उन्होंने कैसे आपके बारे में झूठी और बेबुनियाद बातें की हैं। चुनाँचे कभी उन्होंने आपको जादूगर कहा, कभी कहा कि आप जादू से प्रभावित हैं तथा कभी आपको पागल और दीवाना कहा। यही कारण है कि वे सत्य से भटक गए और अब वे हिदायत का मार्ग नहीं अपना सकते, तथा आपकी सच्चाई और अमानतदारी पर वार करने का भी कोई रास्ता नहीं पा सकते। |
| Ayah 10 |
| عَرَبِي | تَبارَكَ الَّذي إِن شاءَ جَعَلَ لَكَ خَيرًا مِن ذٰلِكَ جَنّاتٍ تَجري مِن تَحتِهَا الأَنهارُ وَيَجعَل لَكَ قُصورًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Tabaraka allathee in shaa jaAAala laka khayran min thalika jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu wayajAAal laka qusooran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Tabaarakal lazeee in shaaa'a ja'ala laka khairam min zaalika jannaatin tajree min tahtihal anhaaru wa yaj'al laka qusooraa |
| English (Pickthall) | Blessed is He Who, if He will, will assign thee better than (all) that - Gardens underneath which rivers flow - and will assign thee mansions. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Blessed is He who, if that were His will, could give thee better (things) than those,- Gardens beneath which rivers flow; and He could give thee palaces (secure to dwell in). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Blessed is He who, if He willed, could have made for you [something] better than that - gardens beneath which rivers flow - and could make for you palaces. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Blessed is Allah Who can, if He wishes, give you the good they think up for you like the gardens under the trees of which streams flow and the fruits of which you can eat; and can also grant you palaces in which you can live in luxury. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | बहुत बरकत वाला है वह अल्लाह, जो यदि चाहे तो आपको उससे उत्तम चीज़ें प्रदान कर दे, जो उन्होंने आपके लिए प्रस्तावित किया है। इस प्रकार कि वह आपके लिए दुनिया में ऐसे बाग़ बना दे, जिनके महलों और पेड़ों के नीचे से नहरें बहती हों, जिनके आप फल खाएँ, और आपके लिए ऐसे महल बना दे, जिनमें आप सुख-सुविधा के साथ रहें। |
| Ayah 11 |
| عَرَبِي | بَل كَذَّبوا بِالسّاعَةِ ۖ وَأَعتَدنا لِمَن كَذَّبَ بِالسّاعَةِ سَعيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Bal kaththaboo bialssaAAati waaAAtadna liman kaththaba bialssaAAati saAAeeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Bal kazzaboo bis Saa'ati wa a'tadnaa liman kazzaba bis Saa'ati sa'eeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | Nay, but they deny (the coming of) the Hour, and for those who deny (the coming of) the Hour We have prepared a flame. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Nay they deny the hour (of the judgment to come): but We have prepared a blazing fire for such as deny the hour: |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But they have denied the Hour, and We have prepared for those who deny the Hour a Blaze. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The statements that came from them were not said in search of the truth or evidence, rather, in conclusion, they have rejected the Day of Judgment. And for whoever rejects the Day of Judgment, I have prepared a blazing fire. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | नहीं, बल्कि बात यह है कि वे लोग क़ियामत की घड़ी को झुठला चुके है। और जो उस घड़ी को झुठला दे, उसके लिए दहकती आग तैयार कर रखी है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (ये सब कुछ नहीं) बल्कि (सच यूँ है कि) उन लोगों ने क़यामत ही को झूठ समझा है और जिस शख्स ने क़यामत को झूठ समझा उसके लिए हमने जहन्नुम को (दहका के) तैयार कर रखा है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उन्होंने ये बातें सत्य की खोज और प्रमाण की तलाश में नहीं कही हैं, बल्कि असल बात यह है कि उन्होंने क़ियामत के दिन को झुठलाया है। और हमने उस आदमी के लिए जो क़ियामत के दिन को झुठलाए, एक बहुत बड़ी अत्यंत भड़कती हुई आग तैयार कर रखी है। |
| Ayah 12 |
| عَرَبِي | إِذا رَأَتهُم مِن مَكانٍ بَعيدٍ سَمِعوا لَها تَغَيُّظًا وَزَفيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Itha raathum min makanin baAAeedin samiAAoo laha taghayyuthan wazafeeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Izaa ra'at hum mim ma kaanim ba'eedin sami'oo lahaa taghaiyuzanw wa zafeeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | When it seeth them from afar, they hear the crackling and the roar thereof. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | When it sees them from a place far off, they will hear its fury and its ranging sigh. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | When the Hellfire sees them from a distant place, they will hear its fury and roaring. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | When the disbelievers will look at the hellfire from a distance, they will hear an unsettling, severe boiling sound emitting from it due to its anger upon them. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जब जहन्नम काफ़िरों को देखेगी, जबकि वे एक दूर स्थान से उसकी ओर हाँककर ले जाए जा रहे होंगे, तो वे उसे ज़ोर से उबलते हुए, और उनपर उसके क्रोध की तीव्रता के कारण एक आकुल करने वाली आवाज़ सुनेंगे। |

| عَرَبِي | وَإِذا أُلقوا مِنها مَكانًا ضَيِّقًا مُقَرَّنينَ دَعَوا هُنالِكَ ثُبورًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waitha olqoo minha makanan dayyiqan muqarraneena daAAaw hunalika thubooran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa izaaa ulqoo minhaa makaanan daiyiqam muqar raneena da'aw hunaalika subooraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And when they are flung into a narrow place thereof, chained together, they pray for destruction there. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And when they are cast, bound together into a constricted place therein, they will plead for destruction there and then! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And when they are thrown into a narrow place therein bound in chains, they will cry out thereupon for destruction. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And when these disbelievers will be thrown into hell from a tight place, with their hands chained to their necks, they will call destruction upon themselves hoping to escape from hell. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और जब वे उसकी किसी तंग जगह जकड़े हुए डाले जाएँगे, तो वहाँ विनाश को पुकारने लगेंगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जब ये लोग ज़ज़ीरों से जकड़कर उसकी किसी तंग जगह मे झोंक दिए जाएँगे तो उस वक्त मौत को पुकारेंगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और जब इन काफ़िरों को जहन्नम के एक तंग स्थान में, उनके हाथों को गरदनों के साथ मिलाकर ज़ंजीरों से बाँधकर फेंका जाएगा, तो वे उससे छुटकारा पाने की आशा में ख़ुद के लिए विनाश का आह्वान करेंगे। |

| عَرَبِي | لا تَدعُوا اليَومَ ثُبورًا واحِدًا وَادعوا ثُبورًا كَثيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | La tadAAoo alyawma thubooran wahidan waodAAoo thubooran katheeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Laa tad'ul yawma subooranw waahidanw wad'oo subooran kaseeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | Pray not that day for one destruction, but pray for many destructions! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "This day plead not for a single destruction: plead for destruction oft-repeated!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [They will be told], "Do not cry this Day for one destruction but cry for much destruction." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O disbelievers! Do not call upon one type of destruction for yourselves today; call upon many types! It will make no difference; you will not be granted what you seek. Instead, you will remain in painful punishment forever. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | (कहा जाएगा,) "आज एक विनाश को मत पुकारो, बल्कि बहुत-से विनाशों को पुकारो!" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (उस वक्त उनसे कहा जाएगा कि) आज एक मौत को न पुकारो बल्कि बहुतेरी मौतों को पुकारो (मगर इससे भी कुछ होने वाला नहीं) |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ काफ़िरो!) आज एक विनाश को मत पुकारो, बल्कि बहुत अधिक विनाशों को पुकारो। लेकिन तुम्हारी फ़रियाद सुनी नहीं जाएगी, बल्कि तुम दर्दनाक यातना में हमेशा पड़े रहोगे। |

| عَرَبِي | قُل أَذٰلِكَ خَيرٌ أَم جَنَّةُ الخُلدِ الَّتي وُعِدَ المُتَّقونَ ۚ كانَت لَهُم جَزاءً وَمَصيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qul athalika khayrun am jannatu alkhuldi allatee wuAAida almuttaqoona kanat lahum jazaan wamaseeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qul azaalika khairun am Jannatul khuldil latee wu'idal muttaqoon; kaanat lahum jazaaa'anw wa maseeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | Say: Is that (doom) better or the Garden of Immortality which is promised unto those who ward off (evil)? It will be their reward and journey's end. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Say: "Is that best, or the eternal garden, promised to the righteous? for them, that is a reward as well as a goal (of attainment). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Say, "Is that better or the Garden of Eternity which is promised to the righteous? It will be for them a reward and destination. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! Say to them: “Is the aforementioned punishment described for you better, or the everlasting paradise with its eternal blessings that never finish? It is the very same one that Allah has promised His Allah-conscious servants as a reward and abode they will return to on the Day of Judgment.” |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (ऐ रसूल) तुम पूछो तो कि जहन्नुम बेहतर है या हमेशा रहने का बाग़ (बेहश्त) जिसका परहेज़गारों से वायदा किया गया है कि वह उन (के आमाल) का सिला होगा और आख़िरी ठिकाना |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल!) उनसे कह दें : क्या यह उक्त यातना, जिसका तुम्हारे सामने वर्णन किया गया है, बेहतर है या अमरता की जन्नत, जिसकी नेमतें सदा उपलब्ध रहेंगी और कभी भी ख़त्म नहीं होंगी? तथा यही वह जन्नत है, जिसका अल्लाह ने अपने मोमिन बंदों से वादा किया है कि वह उनके लिए प्रतिफल और ठिकाना होगी, जहाँ वे क़ियामत के दिन लौटकर जाएँगे। |
| Ayah 16 |
| عَرَبِي | لَهُم فيها ما يَشاءونَ خالِدينَ ۚ كانَ عَلىٰ رَبِّكَ وَعدًا مَسئولًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Lahum feeha ma yashaoona khalideena kana AAala rabbika waAAdan masoolan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Lahum feehaa maa yashaaa'oona khaalideen; kaana 'alaa Rabbika wa'dam mas'oolaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Therein abiding, they have all that they desire. It is for thy Lord a promise that must be fulfilled. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "For them there will be therein all that they wish for: they will dwell (there) for aye: A promise to be prayed for from thy Lord." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | For them therein is whatever they wish, [while] abiding eternally. It is ever upon your Lord a promise [worthy to be] requested. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | In this paradise, they will have whatever blessings they desire; that is a promise on Allah which His Allah-conscious servants will ask Him for. And the promise of Allah will be fulfilled, because He never breaks promises. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उनके लिए इस जन्नत में वे सारी नेमतें होंगी, जो वे चाहेंगे। यह अल्लाह पर एक ऐसा वादा है, जिसकी उसके डरने वाले बंदे उससे माँग करेंगे। और अल्लाह का वादा पूरा होकर रहता है। क्योंकि वह अपना वादा कभी नहीं तोड़ता। |
| Ayah 17 |
| عَرَبِي | وَيَومَ يَحشُرُهُم وَما يَعبُدونَ مِن دونِ اللَّهِ فَيَقولُ أَأَنتُم أَضلَلتُم عِبادي هٰؤُلاءِ أَم هُم ضَلُّوا السَّبيلَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wayawma yahshuruhum wama yaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi fayaqoolu aantum adlaltum AAibadee haolai am hum dalloo alssabeela |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa Yawma yahshuruhum wa maa ya'budoona min doonil lahi fa yaqoolu 'a-antum adlaltum 'ibaadee haaa'ulaaa'i am hum dallus sabeel |
| English (Pickthall) | And on the day when He will assemble them and that which they worship instead of Allah and will say: Was it ye who misled these my slaves or did they (themselves) wander from the way? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The day He will gather them together as well as those whom they worship besides Allah, He will ask: "Was it ye who let these My servants astray, or did they stray from the Path themselves?" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [mention] the Day He will gather them and that which they worship besides Allah and will say, "Did you mislead these, My servants, or did they [themselves] stray from the way?" |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | On the day when the rejecting idolaters will be gathered, together with whatever they worshipped instead of Allah, He will say to those worshipped, scolding those who worshipped them, “Did you lead My servants astray by commanding them to worship you, or did they go astray of their own accord?” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और जिस दिन उन्हें इकट्ठा किया जाएगा और उनको भी जिन्हें वे अल्लाह को छोड़कर पूजते है, फिर वह कहेगा, "क्या मेरे बन्दों को तुमने पथभ्रष्ट किया था या वे स्वयं मार्ग छोड़ बैठे थे?" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जिस दिन ख़ुदा उन लोगों को और जिनकी ये लोग ख़ुदा को छोड़कर परसतिश किया करते हैं (उनको) जमा करेगा और पूछेगा क्या तुम ही ने हमारे उन बन्दों को गुमराह कर दिया था या ये लोग खुद राह रास्ते से भटक गए थे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जिस दिन अल्लाह झुठलाने वाले मुश्रिकों को एकत्र करेगा, तथा उन्हें भी एकत्र करेगा जिनकी वे अल्लाह के सिवा पूजा करते थे। फिर अल्लाह पूज्यों से, उनके पूजकों को फटकार लगाने हेतु, कहेगा : क्या तुमने मेरे बंदों को उन्हें अपनी पूजा का आदेश देकर पथभ्रष्ट किया था, या वे अपने आप भटक गए थे?! |
| Ayah 18 |
| عَرَبِي | قالوا سُبحانَكَ ما كانَ يَنبَغي لَنا أَن نَتَّخِذَ مِن دونِكَ مِن أَولِياءَ وَلٰكِن مَتَّعتَهُم وَآباءَهُم حَتّىٰ نَسُوا الذِّكرَ وَكانوا قَومًا بورًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qaloo subhanaka ma kana yanbaghee lana an nattakhitha min doonika min awliyaa walakin mattaAAtahum waabaahum hatta nasoo alththikra wakanoo qawman booran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qaaloo Subhaanaka maa kaana yambaghee lanaaa an nattakhiza min doonika min awliyaaa'a wa laakim matta'tahum wa aabaaa'ahum hattaa nasuz zikra wa kaanoo qawmam booraa |
| English (Pickthall) | They will say: Be Thou Glorified! it was not for us to choose any protecting friends beside thee; but Thou didst give them and their fathers ease till they forgot the warning and became lost folk. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They will say: "Glory to Thee! not meet was it for us that we should take for protectors others besides Thee: But Thou didst bestow, on them and their fathers, good things (in life), until they forgot the Message: for they were a people (worthless and) lost." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | They will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for us to take besides You any allies. But You provided comforts for them and their fathers until they forgot the message and became a people ruined." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The worshipped ones will say, “Our Lord! You are exalted from having any partner. It was not for us to take any guardians instead of You, so how could we call Your servants to worship us instead of You? Our Lord! Rather, You granted these idolaters and their forefathers enjoyment through the pleasures of the world, gradually leading them into their destruction, until they forgot Your remembrance and worshipped others with You. They were people doomed due to their wretchedness.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वे कहेंगे, "महान और उच्च है तू! यह हमसे नहीं हो सकता था कि तुझे छोड़कर दूसरे संरक्षक बनाएँ। किन्तु हुआ यह कि तूने उन्हें औऱ उनके बाप-दादा को अत्यधिक सुख-सामग्री दी, यहाँ तक कि वे अनुस्मृति को भुला बैठे और विनष्ट होनेवाले लोग होकर रहे।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (उनके माबूद) अर्ज़ करेंगें- सुबहान अल्लाह (हम तो ख़ुद तेरे बन्दे थे) हमें ये किसी तरह ज़ेबा न था कि हम तुझे छोड़कर दूसरे को अपना सरपरस्त बनाते (फिर अपने को क्यों कर माबूद बनाते) मगर बात तो ये है कि तू ही ने इनको बाप दादाओं को चैन दिया-यहाँ तक कि इन लोगों ने (तेरी) याद भुला दी और ये ख़ुद हलाक होने वाले लोग थे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वे पूज्य कहेंगे : ऐ हमारे पालनहार! तू इस बात से पवित्र है कि तेरा कोई साझी हो। हमारे लिए यह उचित नहीं था कि तुझे छोड़कर अन्य लोगों को संरक्षक बनाकर उनका संरक्षण ग्रहण करते, तो फिर हम तेरे बंदों से किस तरह आह्वान कर सकते थे कि वे तुझे छोड़कर हमारी पूजा करें?! लेकिन असल बात यह है कि तूने इन मुश्रिकों को दुनिया की सुख-सुविधाएँ प्रदान कीं और इनसे पहले इनके बाप-दादों को भी ढील देने के लिए धन-संपन्नता प्रदान की थी, यहाँ तक कि वे तेरी याद को भूला गए। इसलिए उन्होंने तेरे साथ दूसरों की पूजा की, तथा वे अपने दुर्भाग्य के कारण विनष्ट होने वाले लोग थे। |
| Ayah 19 |
| عَرَبِي | فَقَد كَذَّبوكُم بِما تَقولونَ فَما تَستَطيعونَ صَرفًا وَلا نَصرًا ۚ وَمَن يَظلِم مِنكُم نُذِقهُ عَذابًا كَبيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faqad kaththabookum bima taqooloona fama tastateeAAoona sarfan wala nasran waman yathlim minkum nuthiqhu AAathaban kabeeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Faqad kazzabookum bimaa taqooloona famaa tastatee'oona sarfanw wa laa nasraa; wa mai yazlim minkum nuziqhu 'azaaban kabeeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | Thus they will give you the lie regarding what ye say, then ye can neither avert (the doom) nor obtain help. And whoso among you doeth wrong, We shall make him taste great torment. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | (Allah will say): "Now have they proved you liars in what ye say: so ye cannot avert (your penalty) nor (get) help." And whoever among you does wrong, him shall We cause to taste of a grievous Penalty. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So they will deny you, [disbelievers], in what you say, and you cannot avert [punishment] or [find] help. And whoever commits injustice among you - We will make him taste a great punishment. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O idolaters! Verily, those you worshipped other than Allah have belied you in your claims against them, so you cannot fend off the punishment from yourselves nor help them due to your incapability. O believers! Whoever oppresses from amongst you by ascribing partners to Allah, I shall make him suffer a great punishment, just like I will make the ones mentioned suffer. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अतः इस प्रकार वे तुम्हें उस बात में, जो तुम कहते हो झूठा ठहराए हुए है। अब न तो तुम यातना को फेर सकते हो और न कोई सहायता ही पा सकते हो। जो कोई तुममें से ज़ुल्म करे उसे हम बड़ी यातना का मज़ा चखाएँगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तब (काफ़िरों से कहा जाएगा कि) तुम जो कुछ कह रहे हो उसमें तो तुम्हारे माबूदों ने तुम्हें झूठला दिया तो अब तुम न (हमारे अज़ाब के) टाल देने की सकत रखते हो न किसी से मदद ले सकते हो और (याद रखो) तुममें से जो ज़ुल्म करेगा हम उसको बड़े (सख्त) अज़ाब का (मज़ा) चखाएगें |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ मुश्रिको!) तुम्हारे उन पूज्यों ने, जिनकी तुमने अल्लाह के अलावा पूजा की थी, तुम्हें उसमें झूठा ठहरा दिया, जो तुम उनपर दावा करते हो। अतः तुम अपनी अक्षमता के कारण अपने आपसे न यातना टाल सकते हो और न ही अपनी मदद कर सकते हो। तथा (ऐ मोमिनो!) तुम में से जो व्यक्ति अल्लाह का साझी बनाकर अत्याचार करेगा, हम उसे बहुत बड़ी यातना चखाएँगे, जैसा कि हम ऊपर उल्लिखित लोगों को चखा चुके हैं। |
| Ayah 20 |
| عَرَبِي | وَما أَرسَلنا قَبلَكَ مِنَ المُرسَلينَ إِلّا إِنَّهُم لَيَأكُلونَ الطَّعامَ وَيَمشونَ فِي الأَسواقِ ۗ وَجَعَلنا بَعضَكُم لِبَعضٍ فِتنَةً أَتَصبِرونَ ۗ وَكانَ رَبُّكَ بَصيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wama arsalna qablaka mina almursaleena illa innahum layakuloona alttaAAama wayamshoona fee alaswaqi wajaAAalna baAAdakum libaAAdin fitnatan atasbiroona wakana rabbuka baseeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa maaa arsalnaa qablaka minal mursaleena illaaa innahum la yaakuloonat ta'aama wa yamshoona fil aswaaq; wa ja'alnaa ba'dakum liba'din fitnatan atasbiroon; wa kaana Rabbuka Baseera |
| English (Pickthall) | We never sent before thee any messengers but lo! they verily ate food and walked in the markets. And We have appointed some of you a test for others: Will ye be steadfast? And thy Lord is ever Seer. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And the messengers whom We sent before thee were all (men) who ate food and walked through the streets: We have made some of you as a trial for others: will ye have patience? for Allah is One Who sees (all things). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We did not send before you, [O Muhammad], any of the messengers except that they ate food and walked in the markets. And We have made some of you [people] as trial for others - will you have patience? And ever is your Lord, Seeing. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! All the messengers I sent before you were humans who would eat food and walk in the markets; you are not a unique messenger in that sense. O people! I have made you tests for each other by granting you varying degrees of affluence, poverty, health and sickness; throughout these different circumstances, will you bear whatever I afflict you with so that I may reward you upon your patience? Your Lord is ever-aware of those who bear patience and those who do not, and those who obey Him and those who disobey Him. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और तुमसे पहले हमने जितने रसूल भी भेजे हैं, वे सब खाना खाते और बाज़ारों में चलते-फिरते थे। हमने तो तुम्हें परस्पर एक को दूसरे के लिए आज़माइश बना दिया है, "क्या तुम धैर्य दिखाते हो?" तुम्हारा रब तो सब कुछ देखता है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (ऐ रसूल) हमने तुम से पहले जितने पैग़म्बर भेजे वह सब के सब यक़ीनन बिला शक खाना खाते थे और बाज़ारों में चलते फिरते थे और हमने तुम में से एक को एक का (ज़रिया) आज़माइश बना दिया (मुसलमानों) क्या तुम अब भी सब्र करते हो (या नहीं) और तुम्हारा परवरदिगार (सब की) देख भाल कर रहा है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल!) हमने आपसे पहले जितने भी रसूल भेजे, वे सभी इनसान थे, जो खाना खाते थे और बाज़ारों में चलते-फिरते थे। अतः इस मामले में आप कोई अनूठे नबी नहीं हैं। तथा (ऐ लोगो!) हमने तुम्हें खुशहाली एवं ग़रीबी तथा स्वास्थ्य एवं बीमारी आदि अलग-अलग अवस्थाओं में रखकर, एक-दूसरे के लिए परीक्षण बनाया है। क्या तुम अपने इस परीक्षण में धैर्य से काम लोगे, कि अल्लाह तुम्हें तुम्हारे धैर्य का प्रतिफल प्रदान करे?! और तुम्हारा रब देख रहा है कि कौन सब्र करता है और कौन सब्र नहीं करता, तथा कौन उसका आज्ञापालन करता है और कौन उसकी अवज्ञा करता है। |
| Ayah 21 |
| عَرَبِي | ۞ وَقالَ الَّذينَ لا يَرجونَ لِقاءَنا لَولا أُنزِلَ عَلَينَا المَلائِكَةُ أَو نَرىٰ رَبَّنا ۗ لَقَدِ استَكبَروا في أَنفُسِهِم وَعَتَوا عُتُوًّا كَبيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waqala allatheena la yarjoona liqaana lawla onzila AAalayna almalaikatu aw nara rabbana laqadi istakbaroo fee anfusihim waAAataw AAutuwwan kabeeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa qaalal lazeena laa yarjoona liqaaa'anaa law laaa unzila 'alainal malaaa'ikatu awnaraa Rabbanaa; laqadistakbaroo feee anfusihim wa 'ataw 'utuwwan kabeeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And those who look not for a meeting with Us say: Why are angels not sent down unto us and (Why) do we not see our Lord! Assuredly they think too highly of themselves and are scornful with great pride. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Such as fear not the meeting with Us (for Judgment) say: "Why are not the angels sent down to us, or (why) do we not see our Lord?" Indeed they have an arrogant conceit of themselves, and mighty is the insolence of their impiety! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And those who do not expect the meeting with Us say, "Why were not angels sent down to us, or [why] do we [not] see our Lord?" They have certainly become arrogant within themselves and [become] insolent with great insolence. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The disbelievers who do not expect to meet Me and who do not fear My punishment said, “Why does not Allah send down the angels to us, so they can tell us about the truth of Muhammad?’ or ‘Why can we not see our Lord with our own eyes, so He can tell us about that?’ They are too proud within themselves and this prevented them from having faith, and they have gone beyond the limit of disbelief and transgression by this statement of theirs. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जिन्हें हमसे मिलने की आशंका नहीं, वे कहते है, "क्यों न फ़रिश्ते हमपर उतरे या फिर हम अपने रब को देखते?" उन्होंने अपने जी में बड़ा घमंज किया और बड़ी सरकशी पर उतर आए |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जो लोग (क़यामत में) हमारी हुज़ूरी की उम्मीद नहीं रखते कहा करते हैं कि आख़िर फरिश्ते हमारे पास क्यों नहीं नाज़िल किए गए या हम अपने परवरदिगार को (क्यों नहीं) देखते उन लोगों ने अपने जी में अपने को (बहुत) बड़ा समझ लिया है और बड़ी सरकशी की |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और जो काफ़िर हमसे मिलने की आशा नहीं रखते और हमारी सज़ा से नहीं डरते, उन्होंने कहा : अल्लाह ने हमारे पास फ़रिश्ते क्यों नहीं भेजे, जो हमें मुहम्मद (सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम) की सत्यता के विषय में बताते, अथवा हम अपने पालनहार को अपनी आँखों से देख लेते और वह हमें इस विषय में सब कुछ बता देता? निश्चित रूप से इन लोगों के दिलों में अहंकार इतना बढ़ गया है कि उसने इन्हें ईमान से रोक दिया है और वे ऐसा कहकर कुफ़्र और सरकशी में सीमा को पार कर चुके हैं। |
| Ayah 22 |
| عَرَبِي | يَومَ يَرَونَ المَلائِكَةَ لا بُشرىٰ يَومَئِذٍ لِلمُجرِمينَ وَيَقولونَ حِجرًا مَحجورًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yawma yarawna almalaikata la bushra yawmaithin lilmujrimeena wayaqooloona hijran mahjooran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yawma yarawnal malaaa 'ikata laa bushraa Yawma'izil lilmujrimeena wa yaqooloona hijram mahjooraa |
| English (Pickthall) | On the day when they behold the angels, on that day there will be no good tidings for the guilty; and they will cry: A forbidding ban! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The Day they see the angels,- no joy will there be to the sinners that Day: The (angels) will say: "There is a barrier forbidden (to you) altogether!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | The day they see the angels - no good tidings will there be that day for the criminals, and [the angels] will say, "Prevented and inaccessible." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | On the Day when these people will see the angels at the time of their death, in the Transitory Stage, when they are resurrected, when they are driven to give account and when they are entered into the Fire, there will be no good news for them on those occasions, unlike the believers, and the angels will say to them, “Unlawful and forbidden for you is the good news from Allah.” |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जिस दिन ये लोग फरिश्तों को देखेंगे उस दिन गुनाह गारों को कुछ खुशी न होगी और फरिश्तों को देखकर कहेंगे दूर दफान |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जिस दिन काफ़िर लोग फ़रिश्तों को देखेंगे अपनी मौत के समय, क़ब्र की ज़िंदगी में, दोबारा जीवित किए जाते समय तथा उस समय जब वे हिसाब-किताब के लिए धकेलकर ले जाए जाएँगे और जब वे जहन्नम में डाले जाएँगे- तो इन सभी स्थितियों में उनके लिए कोई अच्छी खबर नहीं होगी। जबकि ईमान वालों का मामला इसके विपरीत होगा। तथा फ़रिश्ते उन अपराधियों से कहेंगे : अल्लाह की ओर से तुम्हें कोई खुशख़बरी मिलने वाली नहीं है। |
| Ayah 23 |
| عَرَبِي | وَقَدِمنا إِلىٰ ما عَمِلوا مِن عَمَلٍ فَجَعَلناهُ هَباءً مَنثورًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waqadimna ila ma AAamiloo min AAamalin fajaAAalnahu habaan manthooran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa qadimnaaa ilaa maa 'amiloo min 'amalin faja'alnaahu habaaa'am mansooraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And We shall turn unto the work they did and make it scattered motes. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And We shall turn to whatever deeds they did (in this life), and We shall make such deeds as floating dust scattered about. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I shall turn to the good deeds the disbelievers did in the world and due to their invalidity and lack of benefit because of their disbelief, I will scatter them like the particles of dust a person sees in the window. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | हम बढ़ेंगे उस कर्म की ओर जो उन्होंने किया होगा और उसे उड़ती धूल कर देंगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और उन लोगों ने (दुनिया में) जो कुछ नेक काम किए हैं हम उसकी तरफ तवज्जों करेंगें तो हम उसको (गोया) उड़ती हुई ख़ाक बनाकर (बरबाद कर) देगें |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा काफ़िरों ने इस दुनिया में नेकी और भलाई के जो कार्य किए होंगे, हम उसकी ओर बढ़कर उसे उनके कुफ़्र के कारण उस बिखरी हुई धूल की तरह अमान्य और बेकार कर देंगे, जिसे देखने वाला खिड़की से अंदर आने वाली सूर्य की किरणों में देखता है। |
| Ayah 24 |
| عَرَبِي | أَصحابُ الجَنَّةِ يَومَئِذٍ خَيرٌ مُستَقَرًّا وَأَحسَنُ مَقيلًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ashabu aljannati yawmaithin khayrun mustaqarran waahsanu maqeelan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | As haabul jannati yawma'izin khairum mustaqar ranw wa ahsanu maqeela |
| English (Pickthall) | Those who have earned the Garden on that day will be better in their home and happier in their place of noonday rest; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The Companions of the Garden will be well, that Day, in their abode, and have the fairest of places for repose. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | The companions of Paradise, that Day, are [in] a better settlement and better resting place. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The believers, the people of Paradise, on that day will have a better position and place of rest and sleep than these disbelievers. That is because of their faith in Allah and their righteous deeds. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उस दिन जन्नतवाले ठिकाने की दृष्टि से अच्छे होगे और आरामगाह की दृष्टि से भी अच्छे होंगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | उस दिन जन्नत वालों का ठिकाना भी बेहतर है बेहतर होगा और आरमगाह भी अच्छी से अच्छी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उस दिन जन्नत वाले मोमिन इन काफ़िरों से बेहतर स्थिति और आराम की बेहतर जगह में होंगे। यह उनके अल्लाह पर ईमान और उनके अच्छे कर्मों के कारण होगा। |
| Ayah 25 |
| عَرَبِي | وَيَومَ تَشَقَّقُ السَّماءُ بِالغَمامِ وَنُزِّلَ المَلائِكَةُ تَنزيلًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wayawma tashaqqaqu alssamao bialghamami wanuzzila almalaikatu tanzeelan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa Yawma tashaqqaqus samaaa'u bilghamaami wa nuzzilal malaaa'ikatu tanzeela |
| English (Pickthall) | A day when the heaven with the clouds will be rent asunder and the angels will be sent down, a grand descent. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The Day the heaven shall be rent asunder with clouds, and angels shall be sent down, descending (in ranks),- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [mention] the Day when the heaven will split open with [emerging] clouds, and the angels will be sent down in successive descent. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा (ऐ रसूल!) उस दिन को याद करें, जब आकाश फट जाएगा और पतले सफ़ेद बादल दिखाई देंगे, तथा फ़रिश्तों को उनकी बड़ी संख्या के कारण निरंतर 'महशर' की भूमि में उतारा जाएगा। |
| Ayah 26 |
| عَرَبِي | المُلكُ يَومَئِذٍ الحَقُّ لِلرَّحمٰنِ ۚ وَكانَ يَومًا عَلَى الكافِرينَ عَسيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Almulku yawmaithin alhaqqu lilrrahmani wakana yawman AAala alkafireena AAaseeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Almulku Yawma'izinil haqqu lir Rahmaan; wa kaana Yawman'alal kaafireena 'aseeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | The Sovereignty on that day will be the True (Sovereignty) belonging to the Beneficent One, and it will be a hard day for disbelievers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | That Day, the dominion as of right and truth, shall be (wholly) for (Allah) Most Merciful: it will be a Day of dire difficulty for the misbelievers. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | True sovereignty, that Day, is for the Most Merciful. And it will be upon the disbelievers a difficult Day. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Kingdom, which is the true and established kingdom, on the Day of Judgment will be for the Merciful, may He be glorified. That day will be difficult for the disbelievers as opposed to the believers for whom it will be easy. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उस दिन वास्तविक राज्य रहमान का होगा और वह दिन इनकार करनेवालों के लिए बड़ा ही मुश्किल होगा |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उस दिन वास्तविक राज्य एवं हक़ीक़ी बादशाहत केवल 'रहमान' की होगी और वह दिन काफ़िरों के लिए बड़ा कठिन होगा। जबकि ईमान वालों की स्थिति इसके विपरीत होगी। उनके लिए वह बहुत आसान होगा। |

| عَرَبِي | وَيَومَ يَعَضُّ الظّالِمُ عَلىٰ يَدَيهِ يَقولُ يا لَيتَنِي اتَّخَذتُ مَعَ الرَّسولِ سَبيلًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wayawma yaAAaddu alththalimu AAala yadayhi yaqoolu ya laytanee ittakhathtu maAAa alrrasooli sabeelan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa Yawma ya'adduz zaalimu 'alaa yadaihi yaqoolu yaa laitanit takhaztu ma'ar Rasooli sabeelaa |
| English (Pickthall) | On the day when the wrong-doer gnaweth his hands, he will say: Ah, would that I had chosen a way together with the messenger (of Allah)! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The Day that the wrong-doer will bite at his hands, he will say, "Oh! would that I had taken a (straight) path with the Messenger! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And the Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret] he will say, "Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Mention - O Messenger - the day the evildoer on account of leaving out following the Messenger (peace be upon him) will bite his own hand out of regret and say, ‘If only I had followed the Messenger and what he brought from his Lord, and I had taken a path with him to salvation.’ |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उस दिन अत्याचारी अत्याचारी अपने हाथ चबाएगा। कहेंगा, "ऐ काश! मैंने रसूल के साथ मार्ग अपनाया होता! |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जिस दिन जुल्म करने वाला अपने हाथ (मारे अफ़सोस के) काटने लगेगा और कहेगा काश रसूल के साथ मैं भी (दीन का सीधा) रास्ता पकड़ता |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और (ऐ रसूल!) उस दिन को याद करें, जिस दिन अत्याचारी रसूल सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम का अनुसरण न करने के कारण, घोर पछतावे से अपने दोनों हाथ चबाएगा और कहेगा : ऐ काश! मैंने रसूल का उस चीज़ में पालन किया होता जो कुछ वह अपने पालनहार की ओर से लाए थे और उसके साथ उद्धार का मार्ग अपनाया होता। |

| عَرَبِي | يا وَيلَتىٰ لَيتَني لَم أَتَّخِذ فُلانًا خَليلًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ya waylata laytanee lam attakhith fulanan khaleelan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yaa wailataa laitanee lam attakhiz fulaanan khaleelaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Alas for me! Ah, would that I had never taken such an one for friend! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "Ah! woe is me! Would that I had never taken such a one for a friend! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | He will also say due to extreme grief cursing himself: Alas for me! If only I had not taken so-and-so disbeliever as a friend! |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | हाय मेरा दुर्भाग्य! काश, मैंने अमुक व्यक्ति को मित्र न बनाया होता! |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | हाए अफसोस काश मै फला शख्स को अपना दोस्त न बनाता |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा वह बड़े अफसोस के साथ अपने आपको अभिशाप देते हुए कहेगा : हाय मेरा विनाश! काश मैंने फलाँ काफ़िर व्यक्ति को मित्र न बनाया होता। |
| Ayah 29 |
| عَرَبِي | لَقَد أَضَلَّني عَنِ الذِّكرِ بَعدَ إِذ جاءَني ۗ وَكانَ الشَّيطانُ لِلإِنسانِ خَذولًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Laqad adallanee AAani alththikri baAAda ith jaanee wakana alshshaytanu lilinsani khathoolan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Laqad adallanee 'aniz zikri ba'da iz jaaa'anee; wa kaanash Shaitaanu lil insaani khazoolaa |
| English (Pickthall) | He verily led me astray from the Reminder after it had reached me. Satan was ever man's deserter in the hour of need. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "He did lead me astray from the Message (of Allah) after it had come to me! Ah! the Evil One is but a traitor to man!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | He led me away from the remembrance after it had come to me. And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | This disbelieving friend led me away from the Qur’ān after it reached me through the Messenger. Satan has always been one who betrays man often. When some difficulty comes on him, he renounces him. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उसने मुझे भटकाकर अनुस्मृति से विमुख कर दिया, इसके पश्चात कि वह मेरे पास आ चुकी थी। शैतान तो समय पर मनुष्य का साथ छोड़ ही देता है।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | बेशक यक़ीनन उसने हमारे पास नसीहत आने के बाद मुझे बहकाया और शैतान तो आदमी को रुसवा करने वाला ही है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निश्चय इस काफ़िर मित्र ने मुझे क़ुरआन से भटका दिया, जब कि वह रसूल के माध्यम से मेरे पास पहुँच चुका था। तथा शैतान मनुष्य को हमेशा छोड़ जाने वाला है। जब उसपर कोई मुसीबत आती है, तो उससे किनारा कर लेता है। |
| Ayah 30 |
| عَرَبِي | وَقالَ الرَّسولُ يا رَبِّ إِنَّ قَومِي اتَّخَذوا هٰذَا القُرآنَ مَهجورًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waqala alrrasoolu ya rabbi inna qawmee ittakhathoo hatha alqurana mahjooran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa qaalar Rasoolu yaa Rabbi inna qawmit takhazoo haazal Qur-aana mahjooraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And the messenger saith: O my Lord! Lo! mine own folk make this Qur'an of no account. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Then the Messenger will say: "O my Lord! Truly my people took this Qur'an for just foolish nonsense." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And the Messenger has said, "O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur'an as [a thing] abandoned." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The Messenger will say on that day complaining about the condition of his people: O my Lord! My people, to whom You sent me, left this Qur’ān and ignored it. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | रसूल कहेगा, "ऐ मेरे रब! निस्संदेह मेरी क़ौम के लोगों ने इस क़ुरआन को व्यर्थ बकवास की चीज़ ठहरा लिया था।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (उस वक्त) रसूल (बारगाहे ख़ुदा वन्दी में) अर्ज़ करेगें कि ऐ मेरे परवरदिगार मेरी क़ौम ने तो इस क़ुरान को बेकार बना दिया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा उस दिन रसूल अपनी जाति की हालत के बारे में शिकायत करते हुए कहेगा : ऐ मेरे पालनहार! मेरी क़ौम के लोग, जिनकी ओर तूने मुझे भेजा था, इस क़ुरआन को को छोड़कर इससे दूर हो गए थे। |
| Ayah 31 |
| عَرَبِي | وَكَذٰلِكَ جَعَلنا لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ عَدُوًّا مِنَ المُجرِمينَ ۗ وَكَفىٰ بِرَبِّكَ هادِيًا وَنَصيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wakathalika jaAAalna likulli nabiyyin AAaduwwan mina almujrimeena wakafa birabbika hadiyan wanaseeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa kazaalika ja'alnaa likulli Nabiyyin 'aduwwam minal mujrimeen; wa kafaa bi Rabbika haadiyanw wa naseeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | Even so have We appointed unto every prophet an opponent from among the guilty; but Allah sufficeth for a Guide and Helper. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Thus have We made for every prophet an enemy among the sinners: but enough is thy Lord to guide and to help. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals. But sufficient is your Lord as a guide and a helper. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Similar to the harm and preventing others from your path that you - O Messenger - encountered from your people, I had assigned to every Prophet before you an enemy from among the evildoers of his people. Your Lord is a sufficient guide, who guides to the truth, and He is a sufficient helper, who will help you against your enemy. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और इसी तरह हमने अपराधियों में से प्रत्यॆक नबी के लिये शत्रु बनाया। मार्गदर्शन और सहायता कॆ लिए तॊ तुम्हारा रब ही काफ़ी है। |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और हमने (गोया ख़ुद) गुनाहगारों में से हर नबी के दुश्मन बना दिए हैं और तुम्हारा परवरदिगार हिदायत और मददगारी के लिए काफी है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ऐ रसूल! जिस प्रकार आपको आपके समुदाय द्वारा कष्ट दिया गया और लोगों को आपकी राह से रोका गया, उसी प्रकार हमने आपसे पूर्व नबियों में से प्रत्येक नबी के लिए उसके समुदाय के अपराधियों में से एक दुश्मन बना दिया। तथा आपका रब एक पथ-प्रदर्शक के रूप में पर्याप्त है जो सत्य का मार्गदर्शन करता है, तथा वह एक सहायक के रूप में पर्याप्त है, जो आपके शत्रु के विरुद्ध आपकी सहायता करता है। |
| Ayah 32 |
| عَرَبِي | وَقالَ الَّذينَ كَفَروا لَولا نُزِّلَ عَلَيهِ القُرآنُ جُملَةً واحِدَةً ۚ كَذٰلِكَ لِنُثَبِّتَ بِهِ فُؤادَكَ ۖ وَرَتَّلناهُ تَرتيلًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waqala allatheena kafaroo lawla nuzzila AAalayhi alquranu jumlatan wahidatan kathalika linuthabbita bihi fuadaka warattalnahu tarteelan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa qaalal lazeena kafaroo law laa nuzzila 'alaihil Quraanu jumlatanw waahidah; kazaalika linusabbita bihee fu'aadaka wa rattalnaahu tarteelaa |
| English (Pickthall) | And those who disbelieve say: Why is the Qur'an not revealed unto him all at once? (It is revealed) thus that We may strengthen thy heart therewith; and We have arranged it in right order. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who reject Faith say: "Why is not the Qur'an revealed to him all at once? Thus (is it revealed), that We may strengthen thy heart thereby, and We have rehearsed it to thee in slow, well-arranged stages, gradually. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And those who disbelieve say, "Why was the Qur'an not revealed to him all at once?" Thus [it is] that We may strengthen thereby your heart. And We have spaced it distinctly. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who disbelieved in Allah said, ‘Why was the Qur’ān not sent down to him all at once instead of in bits and pieces?’ I sent the Qur’ān bit by bit to strengthen your heart - O Messenger - by its revelation time after time. I revealed it bit by bit to you to make it easy for you to understand and memorise it. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और जिन लोगों ने इनकार किया उनका कहना है कि "उसपर पूरा क़ुरआन एक ही बार में क्यों नहीं उतारा?" ऐसा इसलिए किया गया ताकि हम इसके द्वारा तुम्हारे दिल को मज़बूत रखें और हमने इसे एक उचित क्रम में रखा |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और कुफ्फार कहने लगे कि उनके ऊपर (आख़िर) क़ुरान का कुल (एक ही दफा) क्यों नहीं नाज़िल किया गया (हमने) इस तरह इसलिए (नाज़िल किया) ताकि तुम्हारे दिल को तस्कीन देते रहें और हमने इसको ठहर ठहर कर नाज़िल किया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और अल्लाह का इनकार करने वालों ने कहा : यह क़ुरआन रसूल पर एक ही बार में क्यों नहीं उतार दिया गया? इस तरह थोड़ा-थोड़ा करके क्यों उतारा गया? (अल्लाह कहता है :) हमने क़ुरआन को ऐसे ही थोड़ा-थोड़ा करके इसलिए उतारा, ताकि (ऐ रसूल!) हम समय-समय पर इसे उतारकर आपके दिल को दृढ़ता प्रदान करें। तथा हमने इसे थोड़ा-थोड़ा इसलिए भी उतारा, ताकि इसे समझना और याद करना आसान हो जाए। |
| Ayah 33 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلا يَأتونَكَ بِمَثَلٍ إِلّا جِئناكَ بِالحَقِّ وَأَحسَنَ تَفسيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wala yatoonaka bimathalin illa jinaka bialhaqqi waahsana tafseeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laa yaatoonaka bimasainn illaa ji'naaka bilhaqqi wa ahsana tafseeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And they bring thee no similitude but We bring thee the Truth (as against it), and better (than their similitude) as argument. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And no question do they bring to thee but We reveal to thee the truth and the best explanation (thereof). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And they do not come to you with an argument except that We bring you the truth and the best explanation. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The idolaters do not bring to you - O Messenger - any point that they propose except that I bring to you the true and firm response to it and I bring to you something that is better explained. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और जब कभी भी वे तुम्हारे पास कोई आक्षेप की बात लेकर आएँगे तो हम तुम्हारे पास पक्की-सच्ची चीज़ लेकर आएँगे! इस दशा में कि वह स्पष्टीतकरण की स्पष्ट से उत्तम है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (ये कुफ्फार) चाहे कैसी ही (अनोखी) मसल बयान करेंगे मगर हम तुम्हारे पास (उनका) बिल्कुल ठीक और निहायत उम्दा (जवाब) बयान कर देगें |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और ये शिर्क करने वाले लोग (ऐ रसूल!) आपके पास कोई प्रस्तावित उदाहरण नहीं लाते, परंतु हम आपके पास उसका सच्चा और सटीक जवाब ले आते हैं तथा आपके सामने उससे बेहतर व्याख्या प्रस्तुत कर देते हैं। |
| Ayah 34 |
| عَرَبِي | الَّذينَ يُحشَرونَ عَلىٰ وُجوهِهِم إِلىٰ جَهَنَّمَ أُولٰئِكَ شَرٌّ مَكانًا وَأَضَلُّ سَبيلًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Allatheena yuhsharoona AAala wujoohihim ila jahannama olaika sharrun makanan waadallu sabeelan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Allazeena yuhsharoona 'alaa wujoohim ilaa jahannama ulaaa'ika sharrum makaananw wa adallu sabeelaa )section 3) |
| English (Pickthall) | Those who will be gathered on their faces unto hell: such are worse in plight and further from the right road. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who will be gathered to Hell (prone) on their faces,- they will be in an evil plight, and, as to Path, most astray. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | The ones who are gathered on their faces to Hell - those are the worst in position and farthest astray in [their] way. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who will be driven on the Day of Judgment being dragged on their faces to Hell. Such people are in the worst place because their place will be Hell and they are on the worst path because their path is the path of disbelief and deviation. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जो लोग औंधे मुँह जहन्नम की ओर ले जाए जाएँगे वही स्थान की दृष्टि से बहुत बुरे है, और मार्ग की दृष्टि से भी बहुत भटके हुए है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जो लोग (क़यामत के दिन) अपने अपने मोहसिनों के बल जहन्नुम में हकाए जाएगें वही लोग बदतर जगह में होगें और सब से ज्यादा राह रास्त से भटकने वाले |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो लोग क़ियामत के दिन अपने मुख के बल नरक की ओर घसीटकर ले जाए जाएँगे, वही सबसे बुरे स्थान पर हैं; क्योंकि उनका स्थान नरक है। तथा वे सत्य के मार्ग से सबसे अधिक भटके हुए हैं; क्योंकि उनका मार्ग कुफ़्र और पथभ्रष्टता का मार्ग है। |

| عَرَبِي | وَلَقَد آتَينا موسَى الكِتابَ وَجَعَلنا مَعَهُ أَخاهُ هارونَ وَزيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaqad atayna moosa alkitaba wajaAAalna maAAahu akhahu haroona wazeeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laqad aatainaa Moosal Kitaaba wa ja'alnaa ma'ahooo akhaahu Haaroona wazeeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | We verily gave Moses the Scripture and placed with him his brother Aaron as henchman. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | (Before this,) We sent Moses The Book, and appointed his brother Aaron with him as minister; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We had certainly given Moses the Scripture and appointed with him his brother Aaron as an assistant. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I gave Moses the Torah and appointed his brother, Aaron, as a Messenger to help him. |

| Ayah 36 |
| عَرَبِي | فَقُلنَا اذهَبا إِلَى القَومِ الَّذينَ كَذَّبوا بِآياتِنا فَدَمَّرناهُم تَدميرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faqulna ithhaba ila alqawmi allatheena kaththaboo biayatina fadammarnahum tadmeeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Faqulnaz habaaa ilal qawmil lazeena kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa fadammarnaahum tadmeeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | Then We said: Go together unto the folk who have denied Our revelations. Then We destroyed them, a complete destruction. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And We command: "Go ye both, to the people who have rejected our Signs:" And those (people) We destroyed with utter destruction. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We said, "Go both of you to the people who have denied Our signs." Then We destroyed them with [complete] destruction. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So I said to them: Go, both of you, to Pharaoh and his people who denied My signs. So they fulfilled our instruction and went to them and invited them to Allah’s Oneness, but they denied them and I then destroyed them completely on account of their denial. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और कहा कि "तुम दोनों उन लोगों के पास जाओ जिन्होंने हमारी आयतों को झुठलाया है।" अन्ततः हमने उन लोगों को विनष्ट करके रख दिया |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो हमने कहा तुम दोनों उन लोगों के पास जा जो हमारी (कुदरत की) निशानियों को झुठलाते हैं जाओ (और समझाओ जब न माने) तो हमने उन्हें खूब बरबाद कर डाला |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर हमने उन दोनों से कहा कि तुम फ़िरऔन तथा उसके समुदाय के पास जाओ, जिन्होंने मेरी आयतों को झुठलाया। चुनाँचे उन दोनों ने मेरा आज्ञापालन किया और उन लोगों के पास गए और उन्हें अल्लाह को एकमात्र पूज्य मानने की ओर आमंत्रित किया। परंतु उन्होंने उन दोनों को झुठला दिया, इसलिए हमने उन्हें बुरी तरह नष्ट कर दिया। |
| Ayah 37 |
| عَرَبِي | وَقَومَ نوحٍ لَمّا كَذَّبُوا الرُّسُلَ أَغرَقناهُم وَجَعَلناهُم لِلنّاسِ آيَةً ۖ وَأَعتَدنا لِلظّالِمينَ عَذابًا أَليمًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waqawma noohin lamma kaththaboo alrrusula aghraqnahum wajaAAalnahum lilnnasi ayatan waaAAtadna lilththalimeena AAathaban aleeman |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa qawma Noohil lammaa kazzabur Rusula aghraqnaahum wa ja'alnaahum linnaasi Aayatanw wa a'tadnaa lizzaalimeena 'azaaban aleemaa |
| English (Pickthall) | And Noah's folk, when they denied the messengers, We drowned them and made of them a portent for mankind. We have prepared a painful doom for evil-doers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And the people of Noah,- when they rejected the messengers, We drowned them, and We made them as a Sign for mankind; and We have prepared for (all) wrong-doers a grievous Penalty;- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And the people of Noah - when they denied the messengers, We drowned them, and We made them for mankind a sign. And We have prepared for the wrongdoers a painful punishment. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The people of Noah, too: when they rejected the Messengers by rejecting Noah (peace be upon him), I destroyed them by drowning them in the ocean, and I made their destruction a sign of My Power to eliminate the wrongdoers. I have prepared a painful punishment on the Day of Judgment for the wrongdoers. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और नूह की क़ौम को भी, जब उन्होंने नूह अलैहिस्सलाम को झुठलाकर, सभी रसूलों को झुठलाने का कार्य किया, तो हमने उन्हें समुद्र में डुबाकर नाश कर दिया और उनके विनाश को इस बात की निशानी बना दिया कि हम ज़ालिमों को जड़ से उखाड़ फेंकने की पूरी शक्ति रखते हैं। तथा हमने इन अत्याचारियों के लिए क़ियामत के दिन दर्दनाक यातना तैयार कर रखी है। |
| Ayah 38 |
| عَرَبِي | وَعادًا وَثَمودَ وَأَصحابَ الرَّسِّ وَقُرونًا بَينَ ذٰلِكَ كَثيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | WaAAadan wathamooda waashaba alrrassi waquroonan bayna thalika katheeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa 'Aadanw Samooda wa As haabar Rassi wa quroonam baina zaalika kaseeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And (the tribes of) A'ad and Thamud, and the dwellers in Ar-Rass, and many generations in between. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | As also 'Ad and Thamud, and the Companions of the Rass, and many a generation between them. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [We destroyed] 'Aad and Thamud and the companions of the well and many generations between them. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I also destroyed the Ad, the people of Hud, and the Thamud, the people of Salih. I destroyed the people of the Well and I destroyed many communities between these three. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा हमने विनष्ट कर दिया हूद के समुदाय आद को, सालेह के समुदाय समूद को और कुएँ वालों को। तथा हमने इन तीनों के बीच की अवधि में भी बहुत-से समुदायों को विनष्ट कर दिया। |
| Ayah 39 |
| عَرَبِي | وَكُلًّا ضَرَبنا لَهُ الأَمثالَ ۖ وَكُلًّا تَبَّرنا تَتبيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wakullan darabna lahu alamthala wakullan tabbarna tatbeeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa kullandarabnaa lahul amsaala wa kullan tabbarnaa tatbeera |
| English (Pickthall) | Each (of them) We warned by examples, and each (of them) We brought to utter ruin. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | To each one We set forth Parables and examples; and each one We broke to utter annihilation (for their sins). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And for each We presented examples [as warnings], and each We destroyed with [total] destruction. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | To each of these who were destroyed I had described the destruction of the previous communities and the reasons for it so that they take heed, and each of them I completely destroyed because of their disbelief and stubbornness. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | प्रत्येक के लिए हमने मिसालें बयान कीं। अन्ततः प्रत्येक को हमने पूरी तरह विध्वस्त कर दिया |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | इन नष्ट किए गए समुदायों में से प्रत्येक समुदाय के समक्ष हमने पिछले समुदायों के विनाश और उसके कारणों का वर्णन किया, ताकि वे उपदेश ग्रहण करें। तथा हमने प्रत्येक समुदाय को उनके कुफ़्र एवं हठ के कारण बुरी तरह नष्ट कर दिया। |
| Ayah 40 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَقَد أَتَوا عَلَى القَريَةِ الَّتي أُمطِرَت مَطَرَ السَّوءِ ۚ أَفَلَم يَكونوا يَرَونَها ۚ بَل كانوا لا يَرجونَ نُشورًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaqad ataw AAala alqaryati allatee omtirat matara alssawi afalam yakoonoo yarawnaha bal kanoo la yarjoona nushooran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laqad ataw 'alal qaryatil lateee umtirat mataras saw'; afalam yakoonoo yarawnahaa; bal kaanoo laa yarjoona nushooraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And indeed they have passed by the township whereon was rained the fatal rain. Can it be that they have not seen it? Nay, but they hope for no resurrection. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And the (Unbelievers) must indeed have passed by the town on which was rained a shower of evil: did they not then see it (with their own eyes)? But they fear not the Resurrection. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And they have already come upon the town which was showered with a rain of evil. So have they not seen it? But they are not expecting resurrection. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | These rejecters from your people in their travel to the Levant have come by the town of people of Lot on which stones had rained down as a punishment for their immoral behaviour so that they make take heed. Were they blind to this town and did they not see it? No! Instead they do not expect to be raised from the dead and taken to account thereafter. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और उस बस्ती पर से तो वे हो आए है जिसपर बुरी वर्षा बरसी; तो क्या वे उसे देखते नहीं रहे हैं? नहीं, बल्कि वे दोबारा जीवित होकर उठने की आशा ही नहीं रखते रहे है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | हमने उनको ख़ूब सत्यानास कर छोड़ा और ये लोग (कुफ्फ़ारे मक्का) उस बस्ती पर (हो) आए हैं जिस पर (पत्थरों की) बुरी बारिश बरसाई गयी तो क्या उन लोगों ने इसको देखा न होगा मगर (बात ये है कि) ये लोग मरने के बाद जी उठने की उम्मीद नहीं रखते (फिर क्यों ईमान लाएँ) |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ नबी सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम!) आपके समुदाय के ये झुठलाने वाले लोग - शाम के देश की यात्रा के समय - लूत की जाति की बस्ती के पास से गुज़रते हैं, जिस पर, उसकी अभद्रता की सज़ा के रूप में पत्थरों की वर्षा हुई थी, ताकि वे शिक्षा ग्रहण करें। तो क्या उन्होंने इस बस्ती से आँखें मूंद लीं, इसलिए उन्होंने इसे नहीं देखा? नहीं, बल्कि वे मरने के बाद पुनः जीवित होकर उठने की आशा ही नहीं रखते थे जिसके बाद उनका हिसाब-किताब लिया जाएगा। |
| Ayah 41 |
| عَرَبِي | وَإِذا رَأَوكَ إِن يَتَّخِذونَكَ إِلّا هُزُوًا أَهٰذَا الَّذي بَعَثَ اللَّهُ رَسولًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waitha raawka in yattakhithoonaka illa huzuwan ahatha allathee baAAatha Allahu rasoolan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa izaa ra awka iny yattakhizoonaka illaa huzuwan ahaazal lazee ba'asal laahu Rasoolaa |
| English (Pickthall) | And when they see thee (O Muhammad) they treat thee only as a jest (saying): Is this he whom Allah sendeth as a messenger? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | When they see thee, they treat thee no otherwise than in mockery: "Is this the one whom Allah has sent as a messenger?" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And when they see you, [O Muhammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one whom Allah has sent as a messenger? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Whenever these rejecters meet you - O Messenger - they ridicule you by saying mockingly and in denial: Is this the one Allah has sent as a Messenger to us? |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वे जब भी तुम्हें देखते हैं तो तुम्हारा मज़ाक़ बना लेते हैं कि "क्या यही, जिसे अल्लाह ने रसूल बनाकर भेजा है? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (ऐ रसूल) ये लोग तुम्हें जब देखते हैं तो तुम से मसख़रा पन ही करने लगते हैं कि क्या यही वह (हज़रत) हैं जिन्हें अल्लाह ने रसूल बनाकर भेजा है (माज़ अल्लाह) |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और जब ये झुठलाने वाले (ऐ रसूल!) आपसे मिलते हैं, तो आपका उपहास करते हैं तथा ठट्ठा और इनकार के रूप में कहते हैं : क्या यही है, जिसे अल्लाह ने हमारी ओर रसूल बनाकर भेजा है?! |
| Ayah 42 |
| عَرَبِي | إِن كادَ لَيُضِلُّنا عَن آلِهَتِنا لَولا أَن صَبَرنا عَلَيها ۚ وَسَوفَ يَعلَمونَ حينَ يَرَونَ العَذابَ مَن أَضَلُّ سَبيلًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | In kada layudilluna AAan alihatina lawla an sabarna AAalayha wasawfa yaAAlamoona heena yarawna alAAathaba man adallu sabeelan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | In kaada la yudillunaa 'an aalihatinaa law laaa an sabarnaa 'alaihaa; wa sawfa ya'lamoona heena yarawnal 'azaaba man adallu sabeela |
| English (Pickthall) | He would have led us far away from our gods if we had not been staunch to them. They will know, when they behold the doom, who is more astray as to the road. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "He indeed would well-nigh have misled us from our gods, had it not been that we were constant to them!" - Soon will they know, when they see the Penalty, who it is that is most misled in Path! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | He almost would have misled us from our gods had we not been steadfast in [worship of] them." But they are going to know, when they see the punishment, who is farthest astray in [his] way. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | He almost led us astray from the worship of our gods. If we had not stood so firmly by their worship, he would have turned us away from it by his arguments and proofs. They will soon come to know, when they see the punishment in their graves and on the Day of Judgement, who is furthest from the path - is it them or he - and they will come to know which of them is astray. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | इसने तो हमें भटकाकर हमको हमारे प्रभु-पूज्यों से फेर ही दिया होता, यदि हम उनपर मज़बूती से जम न गए होते।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | अगर बुतों की परसतिश पर साबित क़दम न रहते तो इस शख्स ने हमको हमारे माबूदों से बहका दिया था और बहुत जल्द (क़यामत में) जब ये लोग अज़ाब को देखेंगें तो उन्हें मालूम हो जाएगा कि राहे रास्त से कौन ज्यादा भटका हुआ था |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निश्चय यह हमें हमारे देवताओं की पूजा करने से दूर करने वाला था। यदि हम उनकी पूजा करने पर जमे न रहते, तो वह अपने तर्कों और सबूतों के साथ हमें उससे दूर कर देता। तथा जब वे अपनी क़ब्रों में और क़ियामत के दिन अज़ाब देखेंगे, तो जान लेंगे कि कौन सबसे अधिक रास्ते से भटका हुआ था? क्या वे लोग का अथवा रसूल? तथा यह भी जान लेंगे कि उनमें से कौन सबसे ज़्यादा गुमराह था। |
| Ayah 43 |
| عَرَبِي | أَرَأَيتَ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ إِلٰهَهُ هَواهُ أَفَأَنتَ تَكونُ عَلَيهِ وَكيلًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Araayta mani ittakhatha ilahahu hawahu afaanta takoonu AAalayhi wakeelan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ara'aita manit takhaza ilaahahoo hawaahu afa anta takoonu 'alaihi wakeelaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Hast thou seen him who chooseth for his god his own lust? Wouldst thou then be guardian over him? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Seest thou such a one as taketh for his god his own passion (or impulse)? Couldst thou be a disposer of affairs for him? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Have you seen the one who takes as his god his own desire? Then would you be responsible for him? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Have you seen - O Messenger - the person who made his desire a god and followed it! Will you be a guardian over him to bring him back to faith and prevent him from disbelief? |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्या (ऐ रसूल!) आपने उस व्यक्ति को देखा, जिसने अपनी इच्छा को अपना पूज्य बना लिया और उसकी आज्ञा का पालन किया, तो क्या आप उसके संरक्षक होंगे कि उसे ईमान की ओर लौटा लें और उसे कुफ़्र से रोक दें?! |
| Ayah 44 |
| عَرَبِي | أَم تَحسَبُ أَنَّ أَكثَرَهُم يَسمَعونَ أَو يَعقِلونَ ۚ إِن هُم إِلّا كَالأَنعامِ ۖ بَل هُم أَضَلُّ سَبيلًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Am tahsabu anna aktharahum yasmaAAoona aw yaAAqiloona in hum illa kaalanAAami bal hum adallu sabeelan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Am tahsabu annna aksarahum yasma'oona aw ya''qiloon; in hum illaa kal an'aami bal hum adallu sabeelan |
| English (Pickthall) | Or deemest thou that most of them hear or understand? They are but as the cattle - nay, but they are farther astray? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Or thinkest thou that most of them listen or understand? They are only like cattle;- nay, they are worse astray in Path. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Or do you think that most of them hear or reason? They are not except like livestock. Rather, they are [even] more astray in [their] way. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Rather, do you - O Messenger - think that most of those whom you call towards Allah’s Oneness and obedience, hear with acceptance or understand the arguments and proofs? They are just like cattle in terms of their hearing, comprehension and understanding. Rather, they are further from the path than cattle are. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | या तुम समझते हो कि उनमें अधिकतर सुनते और समझते है? वे तो बस चौपायों की तरह हैं, बल्कि उनसे भी अधिक पथभ्रष्ट! |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | क्या ये तुम्हारा ख्याल है कि इन (कुफ्फ़ारों) में अक्सर (बात) सुनते या समझते है (नहीं) ये तो बस बिल्कुल मिसल जानवरों के हैं बल्कि उन से भी ज्यादा राह (रास्त) से भटके हुए |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | बल्कि, क्या (ऐ रसूल!) आप यह समझते हैं कि जिन लोगों को आप अल्लाह के एकेश्वरवाद और उसकी आज्ञाकारिता की ओर बुला रहे हैं, उनमें से अधिकांश लोग आपकी बात को स्वीकार करने के लिए सुनते या तर्कों और प्रमाणों को समझते हैं?! वे सुनने एवं समझने के मामले में पशुओं के समान हैं, बल्कि वे पशुओं से भी अधिक पथभ्रष्ट हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | أَلَم تَرَ إِلىٰ رَبِّكَ كَيفَ مَدَّ الظِّلَّ وَلَو شاءَ لَجَعَلَهُ ساكِنًا ثُمَّ جَعَلنَا الشَّمسَ عَلَيهِ دَليلًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Alam tara ila rabbika kayfa madda alththilla walaw shaa lajaAAalahu sakinan thumma jaAAalna alshshamsa AAalayhi daleelan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Alam tara ilaa Rabbika kaifa maddaz zilla wa law shaaa'a laja'alahoo saakinan summa ja'alnash shamsa 'alaihe daleelaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Hast thou not seen how thy Lord hath spread the shade - And if He willed He could have made it still - then We have made the sun its pilot; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Hast thou not turned thy vision to thy Lord?- How He doth prolong the shadow! If He willed, He could make it stationary! then do We make the sun its guide; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Have you not considered your Lord - how He extends the shadow, and if He willed, He could have made it stationary? Then We made the sun for it an indication. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Have you - O Messenger - not seen how your Lord extends the shade on the surface of the earth. If He had willed to make it stand still without moving He could have done so. Then I made the sun an indicator for it, becoming long and short in accordance to it. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्या (ऐ रसूल!) क्या आपने अल्लाह की रचना की निशानियों को नहीं देखा, जब उसने धरती के चेहरे पर छाया फैला दी। यदि वह चाहता कि उसे स्थिर कर दे और वह न हिले, तो निश्चय वह उसे ऐसा ही बनाता। फिर हमने सूर्य को उसका संकेत देने वाला बना दिया, जिसके साथ वह लंबा और छोटा होता है। |

| عَرَبِي | ثُمَّ قَبَضناهُ إِلَينا قَبضًا يَسيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Thumma qabadnahu ilayna qabdan yaseeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Summa qabadnaahu ilainaa qabdany yaseeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | Then We withdraw it unto Us, a gradual withdrawal? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Then We draw it in towards Ourselves,- a contraction by easy stages. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Then We hold it in hand for a brief grasp. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Then I retracted the shade by reducing it gradually little by little in accordance to the height of the sun. |

| عَرَبِي | وَهُوَ الَّذي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ اللَّيلَ لِباسًا وَالنَّومَ سُباتًا وَجَعَلَ النَّهارَ نُشورًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wahuwa allathee jaAAala lakumu allayla libasan waalnnawma subatan wajaAAala alnnahara nushooran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa Huwal lazee ja'ala lakumul laila libaasanw wannawma subaatanw wa ja'alan nahaara nushooraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And He it is Who maketh night a covering for you, and sleep repose, and maketh day a resurrection. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And He it is Who makes the Night as a Robe for you, and Sleep as Repose, and makes the Day (as it were) a Resurrection. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And it is He who has made the night for you as clothing and sleep [a means for] rest and has made the day a resurrection. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और वही तो वह (ख़ुदा) है जिसने तुम्हारे वास्ते रात को पर्दा बनाया और नींद को राहत और दिन को (कारोबार के लिए) उठ खड़ा होने का वक्त बनाया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और अल्लाह ही वह हस्ती है, जिसने तुम्हारे लिए रात को वस्त्र के समान बनाया, जो तुम्हें ढाँप लेता है तथा अन्य चीज़ों को छिपाता है। तथा वही है जिसने तुम्हारे लिए नींद को विश्राम बनाया, जिसके आग़ोश में तुम अपने कार्यों से आराम करते हो तथा वही है जिसने दिन को तुम्हारे लिए अपने कामों पर जाने का समय बनाया। |

| عَرَبِي | وَهُوَ الَّذي أَرسَلَ الرِّياحَ بُشرًا بَينَ يَدَي رَحمَتِهِ ۚ وَأَنزَلنا مِنَ السَّماءِ ماءً طَهورًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wahuwa allathee arsala alrriyaha bushran bayna yaday rahmatihi waanzalna mina alssamai maan tahooran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa Huwal lazeee arsalar riyaaha bushram baina yadai rahmatih; wa anzalnaa minas samaaa'i maaa'an tahooraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And He it is Who sendeth the winds, glad tidings heralding His mercy, and We send down purifying water from the sky, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And He it is Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His mercy, and We send down pure water from the sky,- |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वही है जिसने हवाओं को बारिश की शुभ सूचना देने वाली बनाकर भेजा, जो अल्लाह की अपने बंदों पर दया में से है। तथा हमने आकाश से बारिश का साफ पानी उतारा, जिससे वे अपने आप को शुद्ध (पाक) करते हैं। |
| Ayah 49 |
| عَرَبِي | لِنُحيِيَ بِهِ بَلدَةً مَيتًا وَنُسقِيَهُ مِمّا خَلَقنا أَنعامًا وَأَناسِيَّ كَثيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Linuhyiya bihi baldatan maytan wanusqiyahu mimma khalaqna anAAaman waanasiyya katheeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Linuhyiya bihee balda tam maitanw wa nusqiyahoo mimmaa khalaqnaaa an'aa manw wa anaasiyya kaseeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | That We may give life thereby to a dead land, and We give many beasts and men that We have created to drink thereof. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | That with it We may give life to a dead land, and slake the thirst of things We have created,- cattle and men in great numbers. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | That We may bring to life thereby a dead land and give it as drink to those We created of numerous livestock and men. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ताकि हम उस उतरने वाले पानी से पौधे रहित बंजर भूमि को, विभिन्न प्रकार के पेड़-पौधों के साथ उगाकर और उसमें हरियाली फैलाकर, पुनर्जीवित करें और ताकि उस पानी से हम अपने पैदा किए हुए बहुत-से पशुओं और इनसानों को सेराब करें। |
| Ayah 50 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَقَد صَرَّفناهُ بَينَهُم لِيَذَّكَّروا فَأَبىٰ أَكثَرُ النّاسِ إِلّا كُفورًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaqad sarrafnahu baynahum liyaththakkaroo faaba aktharu alnnasi illa kufooran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laqad sarrafnaahu bainahum li yazzakkaroo fa abaaa aksarun naasi illaa kufooraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And verily We have repeated it among them that they may remember, but most of mankind begrudge aught save ingratitude. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And We have distributed the (water) amongst them, in order that they may celebrate (our) praises, but most men are averse (to aught) but (rank) ingratitude. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We have certainly distributed it among them that they might be reminded, but most of the people refuse except disbelief. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I have explained in various ways in the Qur’ān, the arguments and proofs so that they might take heed, but most people persist in their rejection and denial of the truth. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उसे हमने उनके बीच विभिन्न ढ़ंग से पेश किया है, ताकि वे ध्यान दें। परन्तु अधिकतर लोगों ने इनकार और अकृतज्ञता के अतिरिक्त दूसरी नीति अपनाने से इनकार ही किया |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और हमने पानी को उनके दरमियान (तरह तरह से) तक़सीम किया ताकि लोग नसीहत हासिल करें मगर अक्सर लोगों ने नाशुक्री के सिवा कुछ न माना |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हमने क़ुरआन में उन तर्कों और प्रमाणों को विविध रूप से वर्णन किया, ताकि वे सीख ग्रहण करें। परंतु अधिकांश लोगों ने सत्य को नकारने और उससे अनजान बनने ही की नीति अपनाई। |
| Ayah 51 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَو شِئنا لَبَعَثنا في كُلِّ قَريَةٍ نَذيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaw shina labaAAathna fee kulli qaryatin natheeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa law shi'naa laba'asnaa fee kulli qar yatin nazeeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | If We willed, We could raise up a warner in every village. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Had it been Our Will, We could have sent a warner to every centre of population. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And if We had willed, We could have sent into every city a warner. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | If it had been My will, I would have sent a Messenger to every town, to warn them of Allah’s punishment. But I did not will that. I only sent Muhammad (peace be upon him) as a Messenger to all people. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | यदि हम चाहते तो हर बस्ती में एक डरानेवाला भेज देते |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और अगर हम चाहते तो हर बस्ती में ज़रुर एक (अज़ाबे ख़ुदा से) डराने वाला पैग़म्बर भेजते |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और यदि हम चाहते तो प्रत्येक बस्ती में उन्हें चेतावनी देने और अल्लाह की सज़ा से डराने के लिए एक रसूल भेज देते। लेकिन हमने ऐसा नहीं चाहा। बल्कि मुहम्मद सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम को सभी लोगों के लिए रसूल बनाकर भेज दिया। |
| Ayah 52 |
| عَرَبِي | فَلا تُطِعِ الكافِرينَ وَجاهِدهُم بِهِ جِهادًا كَبيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fala tutiAAi alkafireena wajahidhum bihi jihadan kabeeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Falaa tuti'il kaafireena wa jaahidhum bihee jihaadan kabeeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | So obey not the disbelievers, but strive against them herewith with a great endeavour. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Therefore listen not to the Unbelievers, but strive against them with the utmost strenuousness, with the (Qur'an). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So do not obey the disbelievers, and strive against them with the Qur'an a great striving. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So do not follow the disbelievers in their demands for you to be soft with them and in the proposals that they put forward. Strive against them with this Qur’ān that is revealed to you a mighty struggle by being patient over their harm and tolerating difficulties in calling them to Allah. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अतः इनकार करनेवालों की बात न मानता और इस (क़ुरआन) के द्वारा उनसे जिहाद करो, बड़ा जिहाद! (जी तोड़ कोशिश) |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (तो ऐ रसूल) तुम काफिरों की इताअत न करना और उनसे कुरान के (दलाएल) से खूब लड़ों |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अतः आप काफ़िरों की उनके साथ नरमी करने की माँग और उनके दिए गए सुझावों को न मानें। तथा अपने ऊपर अवतरित इस क़ुरआन के द्वारा उनसे बड़ा जिहाद (संघर्ष) करें, उनके कष्ट पर धैर्य रखते हुए तथा उन्हें अल्लाह की ओर बुलाने में कठिनाइयों को सहते हुए। |
| Ayah 53 |
| عَرَبِي | ۞ وَهُوَ الَّذي مَرَجَ البَحرَينِ هٰذا عَذبٌ فُراتٌ وَهٰذا مِلحٌ أُجاجٌ وَجَعَلَ بَينَهُما بَرزَخًا وَحِجرًا مَحجورًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wahuwa allathee maraja albahrayni hatha AAathbun furatun wahatha milhun ojajun wajaAAala baynahuma barzakhan wahijran mahjooran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa Huwal lazee marajal bahraini haazaa 'azbun furaatunw wa haazaa milhun ujaaj; wa ja'ala bainahumaa barzakhanw wa hijram mahjooraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And He it is Who hath given independence to the two seas (though they meet); one palatable, sweet, and the other saltish, bitter; and hath set a bar and a forbidding ban between them. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing water: One palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter; yet has He made a barrier between them, a partition that is forbidden to be passed. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And it is He who has released [simultaneously] the two seas, one fresh and sweet and one salty and bitter, and He placed between them a barrier and prohibiting partition. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | It is Allah, may He be glorified, who merged the water of the two bodies of flowing water. He mixed the sweet and the salty, and put a barrier and dividing line between them that prevents them from intermingling. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वही है जिसने दो समुद्रों को मिलाया। यह स्वादिष्ट और मीठा है और यह खारी और कडुआ। और दोनों के बीच उसने एक परदा डाल दिया है और एक पृथक करनेवाली रोक रख दी है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और वही तो वह (ख़ुदा) है जिसने दरयाओं को आपस में मिला दिया (और बावजूद कि) ये खालिस मज़ेदार मीठा है और ये बिल्कुल खारी कड़वा (मगर दोनों को मिलाया) और दोनों के दरमियान एक आड़ और मज़बूत ओट बना दी है (कि गड़बड़ न हो) |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | पवित्र अल्लाह ही है, जिसने दो समुद्रों के पानी को मिला दिया। उसने उनमें से मीठे को नमकीन के साथ मिलाया और उन दोनों के बीच एक पर्दा और मज़बूत आड़ बना दिया, जो दोनों के पानी को आपस में मिलने से रोकता है। |

| عَرَبِي | وَهُوَ الَّذي خَلَقَ مِنَ الماءِ بَشَرًا فَجَعَلَهُ نَسَبًا وَصِهرًا ۗ وَكانَ رَبُّكَ قَديرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wahuwa allathee khalaqa mina almai basharan fajaAAalahu nasaban wasihran wakana rabbuka qadeeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa Huwal lazee khalaqa minal maaa'i basharran fa ja'alahoo nasaban wa sihraa; wa kaana Rabbuka Qadeeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And He it is Who hath created man from water, and hath appointed for him kindred by blood and kindred by marriage; for thy Lord is ever Powerful. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | It is He Who has created man from water: then has He established relationships of lineage and marriage: for thy Lord has power (over all things). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And it is He who has created from water a human being and made him [a relative by] lineage and marriage. And ever is your Lord competent [concerning creation]. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | It is He who created human beings from the semen of men and women. By creating human beings He established the relationship of kinship by blood and relationship by marriage. Your Lord is all powerful and Nothing is outside His ability. It is through His Power that He created man from the semen of a man and woman. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और वही है जिसने पानी से एक मनुष्य पैदा किया। फिर उसे वंशगत सम्बन्धों और ससुराली रिश्तेवाला बनाया। तुम्हारा रब बड़ा ही सामर्थ्यवान है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और वही तो वह (ख़ुदा) है जिसने पानी (मनी) से आदमी को पैदा किया फिर उसको ख़ानदान और सुसराल वाला बनाया और (ऐ रसूल) तुम्हारा परवरदिगार हर चीज़ पर क़ादिर है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वही है, जिसने पुरुष एवं स्त्री के वीर्य से मनुष्य को पैदा किया। तथा जिसने मनुष्यों को पैदा किया, उसने उनके बीच वंशगत रिश्ता तथा ससुराली रिश्ता बनाया। और (ऐ रसूल!) आपका पालनहार सर्वशक्तिमान है, उसे कोई चीज़ विवश नहीं कर सकती। उसकी शक्ति का एक प्रतीक यह है कि उसने पुरुष एवं स्त्री के वीर्य से मनुष्य को पैदा किया। |
| Ayah 55 |
| عَرَبِي | وَيَعبُدونَ مِن دونِ اللَّهِ ما لا يَنفَعُهُم وَلا يَضُرُّهُم ۗ وَكانَ الكافِرُ عَلىٰ رَبِّهِ ظَهيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | WayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi ma la yanfaAAuhum wala yadurruhum wakana alkafiru AAala rabbihi thaheeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa ya'budoona min doonil laahi maa laa yanfa'uhum wa laa yadurruhum; wa kaanal kaafiru 'alaa Rabbihee zaheeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | Yet they worship instead of Allah that which can neither benefit them nor hurt them. The disbeliever was ever a partisan against his Lord. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Yet do they worship, besides Allah, things that can neither profit them nor harm them: and the Misbeliever is a helper (of Evil), against his own Lord! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But they worship rather than Allah that which does not benefit them or harm them, and the disbeliever is ever, against his Lord, an assistant [to Satan]. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Yet instead of Allah, the disbelievers worship idols that can neither benefit them, if they follow them, nor harm them, if they go against them. The disbeliever has always followed Satan in that which angers Allah, may He be glorified. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अल्लाह से इतर वे उनको पूजते है जो न उन्हें लाभ पहुँचा सकते है और न ही उन्हें हानि पहुँचा सकते है। और ऊपर से यह भी कि इनकार करनेवाला अपने रब का विरोधी और उसके मुक़ाबले में दूसरों का सहायक बना हुआ है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और लोग (कुफ्फ़ारे मक्का) ख़ुदा को छोड़कर उस चीज़ की परसतिश करते हैं जो न उन्हें नफा ही दे सकती है और न नुक़सान ही पहुँचा सकती है और काफिर (अबूजहल) तो हर वक्त अपने परवरदिगार की मुख़ालेफत पर ज़ोर लगाए हुए है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ये काफ़िर लोग अल्लाह के अलावा उन मूर्तियों की पूजा करते हैं, जो उनकी आज्ञा मानने से उन्हें लाभ नहीं देती हैं और यदि वे उनकी अवज्ञा करते हैं तो उन्हें नुकसान नहीं पहुँचाती हैं। तथा काफ़िर ऐसे कार्यों में शैतान का अनुयायी है, जो अल्लाह को क्रोधित करते हैं। |
| Ayah 56 |
| عَرَبِي | وَما أَرسَلناكَ إِلّا مُبَشِّرًا وَنَذيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wama arsalnaka illa mubashshiran wanatheeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa maa arsalnaaka illaa mubashshiranw wa nazeeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And We have sent thee (O Muhammad) only as a bearer of good tidings and a warner. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But thee We only sent to give glad tidings and admonition. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I sent you - O Messenger - only to give good news to those who follow Allah, by having faith and doing righteous actions, and to warn those who go against Him, by committing disbelief and sin. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और हमने तो तुमको शुभ-सूचना देनेवाला और सचेतकर्ता बनाकर भेजा है। |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (ऐ रसूल) हमने तो तुमको बस (नेकी को जन्नत की) खुशख़बरी देने वाला और (बुरों को अज़ाब से) डराने वाला बनाकर भेजा है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और हमने (ऐ रसूल!) आपको, ईमान एवं अच्छे कार्यों के द्वारा अल्लाह का आज्ञापालन करने वालों के लिए ख़ुशख़बरी देने वाला तथा कुफ़्र और पाप के द्वारा उसकी अवज्ञा करने वालों के लिए सावधान करने वाला बनाकर भेजा है। |
| Ayah 57 |
| عَرَبِي | قُل ما أَسأَلُكُم عَلَيهِ مِن أَجرٍ إِلّا مَن شاءَ أَن يَتَّخِذَ إِلىٰ رَبِّهِ سَبيلًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qul ma asalukum AAalayhi min ajrin illa man shaa an yattakhitha ila rabbihi sabeelan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qul maaa as'alukum 'alaihi min ajrin illaa man shaaa'a ai yattakhiza ilaa Rabbihee sabeelaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Say: I ask of you no reward for this, save that whoso will may choose a way unto his Lord. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Say: "No reward do I ask of you for it but this: that each one who will may take a (straight) Path to his Lord." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Say, "I do not ask of you for it any payment - only that whoever wills might take to his Lord a way." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Say, O Messenger: I am not asking for any reward for conveying the message. But anyone of you who wishes to take a path towards Allah’s pleasure by spending, then let him do so. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | कह दो, "मैं इस काम पर तुमसे कोई बदला नहीं माँगता सिवाय इसके कि जो कोई चाहे अपने रब की ओर ले जानेवाला मार्ग अपना ले।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और उन लोगों से तुम कह दो कि मै इस (तबलीगे रिसालत) पर तुमसे कुछ मज़दूरी तो माँगता नहीं हूँ मगर तमन्ना ये है कि जो चाहे अपने परवरदिगार तक पहुँचने की राह पकडे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल!) आप कह दें : मैं तुमसे अल्लाह का संदेश पहुँचाने पर कोई बदला नहीं माँगता। परंतु तुममें से जो व्यक्ति कुछ ख़र्च करके अल्लाह की प्रसन्नता का रास्ता अपनाना चाहे, उसे ऐसा करना चाहिए। |
| Ayah 58 |
| عَرَبِي | وَتَوَكَّل عَلَى الحَيِّ الَّذي لا يَموتُ وَسَبِّح بِحَمدِهِ ۚ وَكَفىٰ بِهِ بِذُنوبِ عِبادِهِ خَبيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Watawakkal AAala alhayyi allathee la yamootu wasabbih bihamdihi wakafa bihi bithunoobi AAibadihi khabeeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa tawakkal 'alal Haiyil lazee laa yamootu wa sabbih bihamdih; wa kafaa bihee bizunoobi 'ibaadihee khabeeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And trust thou in the Living One Who dieth not, and hymn His praise. He sufficeth as the Knower of His bondmen's sins, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And put thy trust in Him Who lives and dies not; and celebrate his praise; and enough is He to be acquainted with the faults of His servants;- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die, and exalt [Allah] with His praise. And sufficient is He to be, with the sins of His servants, Acquainted - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Put your trust - O Messenger - in all of your affairs in Allah, the Living and Everlasting who never dies, declare His purity and celebrate His praise, may He be glorified. He knows the sins of His servants well enough. Nothing of that is hidden from Him and He will recompense them for the same. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और उस अल्लाह पर भरोसा करो जो जीवन्त और अमर है और उसका गुणगान करो। वह अपने बन्दों के गुनाहों की ख़बर रखने के लिए काफ़ी है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (ऐ रसूल) तुम उस (ख़ुदा) पर भरोसा रखो जो ऐसा ज़िन्दा है कि कभी नहीं मरेगा और उसकी हम्द व सना की तस्बीह पढ़ो और वह अपने बन्दों के गुनाहों की वाक़िफ कारी में काफी है (वह ख़ुद समझ लेगा) |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और (ऐ रसूल!) आप अपने सभी मामलों में उस नित्य जीवी पर भरोसा कीजिए, जिसे कभी मौत नहीं आएगी और उसकी प्रशंसा करते हुए हर प्रकार की कमी से उसकी पवित्रता बयान कीजिए। वह अपने बंदों के गुनाहों की पूरी ख़बर रखने के लिए काफ़ी है। उनमें से कुछ भी उससे छिपा नहीं है और वह उन्हें उनका बदला देगा। |
| Ayah 59 |
| عَرَبِي | الَّذي خَلَقَ السَّماواتِ وَالأَرضَ وَما بَينَهُما في سِتَّةِ أَيّامٍ ثُمَّ استَوىٰ عَلَى العَرشِ ۚ الرَّحمٰنُ فَاسأَل بِهِ خَبيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Allathee khalaqa alssamawati waalarda wama baynahuma fee sittati ayyamin thumma istawa AAala alAAarshi alrrahmanu faisal bihi khabeeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Allazee khalaqas samaawaati wal arda wa maa bainahumaa fee sittati aiyaamin summmmastawaa 'alal 'Arsh; ar Rahmaanu fas'al bihee khabeeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six Days, then He mounted the Throne. The Beneficent! Ask anyone informed concerning Him! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | He Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between, in six days, and is firmly established on the Throne (of Authority): Allah Most Gracious: ask thou, then, about Him of any acquainted (with such things). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | He who created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days and then established Himself above the Throne - the Most Merciful, so ask about Him one well informed. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The One who created the heavens and earth and what is between them in six days, and then established Himself on the throne, in a meaning that is befitting for His Majesty. He is the Merciful, so ask then - O Messenger - about Him, One who is aware, and that is Allah - the One who knows everything and from Whom nothing is hidden. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जिसने आकाशों और धरती को और जो कुछ उन दोनों के बीच है छह दिनों में पैदा किया, फिर सिंहासन पर विराजमान हुआ। रहमान है वह! अतः पूछो उससे जो उसकी ख़बर रखता है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जिसने सारे आसमान व ज़मीन और जो कुछ उन दोनों में है छह: दिन में पैदा किया फिर अर्श (के बनाने) पर आमादा हुआ और वह बड़ा मेहरबान है तो तुम उसका हाल किसी बाख़बर ही से पूछना |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जिसने आकाशों तथा धरती और उनके बीच मौजूद सारी वस्तुओं को छह दिनों में पैदा किया। फिर वह अपनी महिमा के योग्य अर्श पर बुलंद हुआ। और वह अत्यंत दयावान् है। अतः (ऐ रसूल!) आप उसके बारे में किसी ज्ञाता से पूछिए। और वह अल्लाह है जो सब कुछ जानता है, उससे कुछ भी छिपा नहीं है। |
| Ayah 60 |
| عَرَبِي | وَإِذا قيلَ لَهُمُ اسجُدوا لِلرَّحمٰنِ قالوا وَمَا الرَّحمٰنُ أَنَسجُدُ لِما تَأمُرُنا وَزادَهُم نُفورًا ۩ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waitha qeela lahumu osjudoo lilrrahmani qaloo wama alrrahmanu anasjudu lima tamuruna wazadahum nufooran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa izaa qeela lahumus judoo lir Rahmaani qaaloo wa mar Rahmaanu anasjudu limaa taamurunaa wa zaadahum nufooraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And when it is said unto them: Prostrate to the Beneficent! they say: And what is the Beneficent? Are we to prostrate to whatever thou (Muhammad) biddest us? And it increaseth aversion in them. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | When it is said to them, "Prostrate to (Allah) Most Gracious!", they say, "And what is (Allah) Most Gracious? Shall we prostrate to that which thou commandest us?" And it increases their flight (from the Truth). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And when it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful," they say, "And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?" And it increases them in aversion. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | When it is said to the disbelievers: Prostrate to the Merciful, they say: We will not prostrate to the Merciful. What is the Merciful? We do not know or acknowledge Him. Should we prostrate to what you tell us when we do not know Him?! His instruction to them to prostrate to Him only puts them further away from having faith in Allah. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उन लोगों से जब कहा जाता है कि "रहमान को सजदा करो" तो वे कहते है, "और रहमान क्या होता है? क्या जिसे तू हमसे कह दे उसी को हम सजदा करने लगें?" और यह चीज़ उनकी घृणा को और बढ़ा देती है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जब उन कुफ्फारों से कहा जाता है कि रहमान (ख़ुदा) को सजदा करो तो कहते हैं कि रहमान क्या चीज़ है तुम जिसके लिए कहते हो हम उस का सजदा करने लगें और (इससे) उनकी नफरत और बढ़ जाती है (60) सजदा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और जब काफ़िरों से कहा जाता है कि रह़मान (अत्यंत दयावान्) को सजदा करो, तो वे कहते हैं कि हम रहमान को सजदा नहीं करते और रह़मान क्या चीज़ है? हम उसे नहीं जानते और न ही उसे स्वीकार करते हैं। क्या हम उसे सजदा करने लगें, जिसे सजदा करने का तू हमें आदेश देता है जबकि हम उसे नहीं जानते हैं?! तथा उसका उन्हें सजदा करने के आदेश ने उन्हें अल्लाह पर ईमान लाने से दूरी में और बढ़ा दिया। |
| Ayah 61 |
| عَرَبِي | تَبارَكَ الَّذي جَعَلَ فِي السَّماءِ بُروجًا وَجَعَلَ فيها سِراجًا وَقَمَرًا مُنيرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Tabaraka allathee jaAAala fee alssamai buroojan wajaAAala feeha sirajan waqamaran muneeran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Tabaarakal lazee ja'ala fis samaaa'i buroojanw wa ja'ala feehaa siraajanw wa qamaram muneeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | Blessed be He Who hath placed in the heaven mansions of the stars, and hath placed therein a great lamp and a moon giving light! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Blessed is He Who made constellations in the skies, and placed therein a Lamp and a Moon giving light; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Blessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Blessed is He Who made stations in the heavens for the planets and the moving stars, Who made in the sky a sun that radiates light, and Who made a moon that illuminates the earth with the light of the sun that it reflects. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | बड़ी बरकत वाला है वह, जिसने ग्रहों और गतिमान तारों के लिए आकाश में घर बनाए, तथा आकाश में एक ऐसा सूर्य बनाया जो प्रकाश बिखेरता है, तथा उसमें एक चंद्रमा बनाया जो सूर्य के प्रकाश को प्रतिबिंबित करके धरती को रोशन करता है। |
| Ayah 62 |
| عَرَبِي | وَهُوَ الَّذي جَعَلَ اللَّيلَ وَالنَّهارَ خِلفَةً لِمَن أَرادَ أَن يَذَّكَّرَ أَو أَرادَ شُكورًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wahuwa allathee jaAAala allayla waalnnahara khilfatan liman arada an yaththakkara aw arada shukooran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa huwal lazee ja'alal laila wannahaara khilfatal liman araada ai yazzakkara aw araadaa shookooraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And He it is Who hath appointed night and day in succession, for him who desireth to remember, or desireth thankfulness. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And it is He Who made the Night and the Day to follow each other: for such as have the will to celebrate His praises or to show their gratitude. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And it is He who has made the night and the day in succession for whoever desires to remember or desires gratitude. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | It is Allah who made the night and day follow and replace each other, for anyone who wishes to take a lesson from Allah’s signs and come onto the right path, or wishes to be grateful to Allah for His favours. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और वही है जिसने रात और दिन को एक-दूसरे के पीछे आनेवाला बनाया, उस व्यक्ति के लिए (निशानी) जो चेतना चाहे या कृतज्ञ होना चाहे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और वही तो वह (ख़ुदा) है जिसने रात और दिन (एक) को (एक का) जानशीन बनाया (ये) उस के (समझने के) लिए है जो नसीहत हासिल करना चाहे या शुक्र गुज़ारी का इरादा करें |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और अल्लाह ही है, जिसने रात और दिन को एक-दूसरे के आगे-पीछे आने वाला बना दिया, उस व्यक्ति के लिए जो अल्लाह की आयतों से उपदेश ग्रहण करना चाहे ताकि उसे मार्गदर्शन प्राप्त हो, अथवा अल्लाह का उसकी नेमतों पर शुक्र अदा करना चाहे। |
| Ayah 63 |
| عَرَبِي | وَعِبادُ الرَّحمٰنِ الَّذينَ يَمشونَ عَلَى الأَرضِ هَونًا وَإِذا خاطَبَهُمُ الجاهِلونَ قالوا سَلامًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | WaAAibadu alrrahmani allatheena yamshoona AAala alardi hawnan waitha khatabahumu aljahiloona qaloo salaman |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa 'ibaadur Rahmaanil lazeena yamshoona 'alal ardi hawnanw wa izaa khaata bahumul jaahiloona qaaloo salaamaa |
| English (Pickthall) | The (faithful) slaves of the Beneficent are they who walk upon the earth modestly, and when the foolish ones address them answer: Peace; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And the servants of (Allah) Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them, they say, "Peace!"; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The servants of the Merciful are the believers who walk humbly on the earth with dignity, and when the foolish address them they do not retaliate in the same manner but they tell them something that saves them from their evil. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | रहमान के (प्रिय) बन्दें वहीं है जो धरती पर नम्रतापूर्वक चलते है और जब जाहिल उनके मुँह आएँ तो कह देते है, "तुमको सलाम!" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (ख़ुदाए) रहमान के ख़ास बन्दे तो वह हैं जो ज़मीन पर फिरौतनी के साथ चलते हैं और जब जाहिल उनसे (जिहालत) की बात करते हैं तो कहते हैं कि सलाम (तुम सलामत रहो) |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और 'रह़मान' (अत्यंत दयावान् अल्लाह) के मोमिन बंदे वे हैं, जो धरती पर गरिमा और नम्रता के साथ चलते हैं, तथा जब अज्ञानी (अक्खड़) लोग उन्हें संबोधित करते हैं, तो वे उन्हें बदला नहीं देते। बल्कि, वे उनसे ऐसी भली बात कहते हैं, जिसमें वे अक्खड़पन नहीं दिखाते हैं। |
| Ayah 64 |
| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ يَبيتونَ لِرَبِّهِم سُجَّدًا وَقِيامًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena yabeetoona lirabbihim sujjadan waqiyaman |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena yabeetoona li Rabbihim sujjadanw wa qiyaamaa |
| English (Pickthall) | And who spend the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who spend the night in adoration of their Lord prostrate and standing; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And those who spend [part of] the night to their Lord prostrating and standing [in prayer] |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who spend the night prostrating on their foreheads and standing on their feet, praying to Allah. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जो अपने रब के आगे सजदे में और खड़े रातें गुज़ारते है; |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और वह लोग जो अपने परवरदिगार के वास्ते सज़दे और क़याम में रात काट देते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और जो लोग अपने रब के सामने, अपने माथे पर सजदा करते हुए और अपने पैरों पर खड़े हुए, नमाज़ पढ़ते हुए रात बिताते हैं। |
| Ayah 65 |
| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ يَقولونَ رَبَّنَا اصرِف عَنّا عَذابَ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ إِنَّ عَذابَها كانَ غَرامًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena yaqooloona rabbana isrif AAanna AAathaba jahannama inna AAathabaha kana gharaman |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena yaqooloona Rabbanas rif 'annnaa 'azaaba Jahannama inn 'azaabahaa kaana gharaamaa |
| English (Pickthall) | And who say: Our Lord! Avert from us the doom of hell; lo! the doom thereof is anguish; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who say, "Our Lord! avert from us the Wrath of Hell, for its Wrath is indeed an affliction grievous,- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And those who say, "Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Hell. Indeed, its punishment is ever adhering; |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who say in their prayer to their Lord: Our Lord, remove from us the punishment of Hell, for the punishment of Hell is perpetual and everlasting for those who die as disbelievers. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जो कहते है कि "ऐ हमारे रब! जहन्नम की यातना को हमसे हटा दे।" निश्चय ही उनकी यातना चिमटकर रहनेवाली है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और वह लोग जो दुआ करते हैं कि परवरदिगारा हम से जहन्नुम का अज़ाब फेरे रहना क्योंकि उसका अज़ाब बहुत (सख्त और पाएदार होगा) |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा जो अपने पालनहार से अपनी प्रार्थना में कहते हैं : ऐ हमारे पालनहार! हमसे जहन्न की यातना को हटा दे। निःसंदेह जहन्नम की यातना उस व्यक्ति से चिपक जाने वाली है जो काफ़िर होकर मरता है। |
| Ayah 66 |
| عَرَبِي | إِنَّها ساءَت مُستَقَرًّا وَمُقامًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Innaha saat mustaqarran wamuqaman |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innahaa saaa'at mustaqarranw wa muqaamaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! it is wretched as abode and station; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "Evil indeed is it as an abode, and as a place to rest in"; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, it is evil as a settlement and residence." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | It is a terrible place of settlement for anyone, and a terrible place of residence for anyone. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | निश्चय ही वह जगह ठहरने की दृष्टि! से भी बुरी है और स्थान की दृष्टि से भी |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | बेशक वह बहुत बुरा ठिकाना और बुरा मक़ाम है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वह (जहन्नम) बहुत ही बुरी जगह है उसमें ठहरने वालों के लिए तथा बहुत बुरा निवास स्थान है उसमें निवास करने वालों के लिए। |
| Ayah 67 |
| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ إِذا أَنفَقوا لَم يُسرِفوا وَلَم يَقتُروا وَكانَ بَينَ ذٰلِكَ قَوامًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena itha anfaqoo lam yusrifoo walam yaqturoo wakana bayna thalika qawaman |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena izaaa anfaqoo lam yusrifoo wa lam yaqturoo wa kaana baina zaalika qawaamaa |
| English (Pickthall) | And those who, when they spend, are neither prodigal nor grudging; and there is ever a firm station between the two; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who, when they spend, are not extravagant and not niggardly, but hold a just (balance) between those (extremes); |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [they are] those who, when they spend, do so not excessively or sparingly but are ever, between that, [justly] moderate |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They are those whom when they spend their wealth do not go to the limit of extravagance in their spending, nor do they restrict their spending to only those whom they have to spend on such as themselves and others, but their spending is balanced between wastefulness and niggardliness. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जो ख़र्च करते है तो न अपव्यय करते है और न ही तंगी से काम लेते है, बल्कि वे इनके बीच मध्यमार्ग पर रहते है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और वह लोग कि जब खर्च करते हैं तो न फुज़ूल ख़र्ची करते हैं और न तंगी करते हैं और उनका ख़र्च उसके दरमेयान औसत दर्जे का रहता है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और वे लोग कि जब अपना धन खर्च करते हैं, तो फ़िज़ूलखर्ची की सीमा तक नहीं पहुँचते और जिनपर ख़र्च करने के लिए वे बाध्य हैं, उनपर ख़र्च करने में तंगी नहीं करते हैं। बल्कि खर्च करने के मामले में फ़िज़ूलख़र्ची और कंजूसी के बीच संतुलित राह अपनाते हैं। |
| Ayah 68 |
| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ لا يَدعونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلٰهًا آخَرَ وَلا يَقتُلونَ النَّفسَ الَّتي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلّا بِالحَقِّ وَلا يَزنونَ ۚ وَمَن يَفعَل ذٰلِكَ يَلقَ أَثامًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena la yadAAoona maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara wala yaqtuloona alnnafsa allatee harrama Allahu illa bialhaqqi wala yaznoona waman yafAAal thalika yalqa athaman |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena laa yad'oona ma'al laahi ilaahan aakhara wa laa yaqtuloonan nafsal latee harramal laahu illaa bilhaqqi wa laa yaznoon; wa mai yaf'al zaalika yalqa asaamaa |
| English (Pickthall) | And those who cry not unto any other god along with Allah, nor take the life which Allah hath forbidden save in (course of) justice, nor commit adultery - and whoso doeth this shall pay the penalty; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who invoke not, with Allah, any other god, nor slay such life as Allah has made sacred except for just cause, nor commit fornication; - and any that does this (not only) meets punishment. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And those who do not invoke with Allah another deity or kill the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed], except by right, and do not commit unlawful sexual intercourse. And whoever should do that will meet a penalty. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who do not call on any other deity besides Allah, may He be glorified, nor kill any person, whose killing Allah has prohibited except for that which Allah has allowed such as the killing of a murderer, renegade or a married adulterer, nor commit adultery. Whoever does these major sins will face the punishment for the sin he has committed on the Day of Judgement. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जो अल्लाह के साथ किसी दूसरे इष्ट-पूज्य को नहीं पुकारते और न नाहक़ किसी जीव को जिस (के क़त्ल) को अल्लाह ने हराम किया है, क़त्ल करते है। और न वे व्यभिचार करते है - जो कोई यह काम करे तो वह गुनाह के वबाल से दोचार होगा |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और वह लोग जो ख़ुदा के साथ दूसरे माबूदों की परसतिश नही करते और जिस जान के मारने को ख़ुदा ने हराम कर दिया है उसे नाहक़ क़त्ल नहीं करते और न ज़िना करते हैं और जो शख्स ऐसा करेगा वह आप अपने गुनाह की सज़ा भुगतेगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा जो लोग अल्लाह के अलावा किसी अन्य पूज्य को नहीं पुकारते। तथा उस व्यक्ति को क़त्ल नहीं करते, जिसके क़त्ल को अल्लाह ने हराम किया है, सिवाय इसके कि जिसके क़त्ल को अल्लाह ने अधिकृत किया है, जैसे कि हत्यारे, या धर्मत्यागी (मुर्तद्द), या विवाहित व्यभिचारी को क़त्ल करना। तथा वे व्यभिचार नहीं करते हैं। और जो व्यक्ति इन बड़े-बड़े गुनाहों में से कोई गुनाह करेगा, वह क़ियामत के दिन उसकी सज़ा भुगतेगा। |
| Ayah 69 |
| عَرَبِي | يُضاعَف لَهُ العَذابُ يَومَ القِيامَةِ وَيَخلُد فيهِ مُهانًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | YudaAAaf lahu alAAathabu yawma alqiyamati wayakhlud feehi muhanan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yudaa'af lahul 'azaabu Yawmal Qiyaamati wa yakhlud feehee muhaanaa |
| English (Pickthall) | The doom will be doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein disdained for ever; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | (But) the Penalty on the Day of Judgment will be doubled to him, and he will dwell therein in ignominy,- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Multiplied for him is the punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein humiliated - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The punishment will be doubled for him on the Day of Judgement, and he will remain in the punishment, disgraced and humiliated. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | क़ियामत के दिन उसकी यातना बढ़ती चली जाएगी॥ और वह उसी में अपमानित होकर स्थायी रूप से पड़ा रहेगा |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | कि क़यामत के दिन उसके लिए अज़ाब दूना कर दिया जाएगा और उसमें हमेशा ज़लील व ख़वार रहेगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क़ियामत के दिन उसकी यातना दुगनी कर दी जाएगी और वह उस यातना में अपमानित और तिरस्कृत होकर सदा बना रहेगा। |
| Ayah 70 |
| عَرَبِي | إِلّا مَن تابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ عَمَلًا صالِحًا فَأُولٰئِكَ يُبَدِّلُ اللَّهُ سَيِّئَاتِهِم حَسَناتٍ ۗ وَكانَ اللَّهُ غَفورًا رَحيمًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Illa man taba waamana waAAamila AAamalan salihan faolaika yubaddilu Allahu sayyiatihim hasanatin wakana Allahu ghafooran raheeman |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Illaa man taaba wa 'aamana wa 'amila 'amalan saalihan fa ulaaa'ika yubad dilul laahu saiyi aatihim hasanaat; wa kaanal laahu Ghafoorar Raheemaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Save him who repenteth and believeth and doth righteous work; as for such, Allah will change their evil deeds to good deeds. Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Unless he repents, believes, and works righteous deeds, for Allah will change the evil of such persons into good, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | But those who repent to Allah and do good deeds that indicate the sincerity of their repentance, then Allah will change the evil deeds of such people into good ones. Allah is Forgiving of the sins of those of His servants who repent and He is Merciful towards them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | सिवाय उसके जो पलट आया और ईमान लाया और अच्छा कर्म किया, तो ऐसे लोगों की बुराइयों को अल्लाह भलाइयों से बदल देगा। और अल्लाह है भी अत्यन्त क्षमाशील, दयावान |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | मगर (हाँ) जिस शख्स ने तौबा की और ईमान क़ुबूल किया और अच्छे अच्छे काम किए तो (अलबत्ता) उन लोगों की बुराइयों को ख़ुदा नेकियों से बदल देगा और ख़ुदा तो बड़ा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | लेकिन जिसने अल्लाह के सामने तौबा कर ली, ईमान ले आया और अच्छा कर्म किया, जो उसकी सच्ची तौबा को इंगित करता है, तो अल्लाह ऐसे लोगों के बुरे कर्मों को अच्छे कर्मों से बदल देगा। और अल्लाह अपने तौबा करने वाले बंदों के पापों को क्षमा करने वाला और उनपर दया करने वाला है। |
| Ayah 71 |
| عَرَبِي | وَمَن تابَ وَعَمِلَ صالِحًا فَإِنَّهُ يَتوبُ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَتابًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waman taba waAAamila salihan fainnahu yatoobu ila Allahi mataban |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa man taaba wa 'amila saalihan fa innnahoo yatoobu ilal laahi mataabaa |
| English (Pickthall) | And whosoever repenteth and doeth good, he verily repenteth toward Allah with true repentance - |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And whoever repents and does good has truly turned to Allah with an (acceptable) conversion;- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And he who repents and does righteousness does indeed turn to Allah with [accepted] repentance. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who repent to Allah and prove the sincerity of their repentance by doing good deeds and giving up sins, their repentance is one that is accepted. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और जिसने तौबा की और अच्छा कर्म किया, तो निश्चय ही वह अल्लाह की ओर पलटता है, जैसा कि पलटने का हक़ है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जिस शख्स ने तौबा कर ली और अच्छे अच्छे काम किए तो बेशक उसने ख़ुदा की तरफ (सच्चे दिल से) हक़ीकक़तन रुजु की |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और जो अल्लाह के सामने तौबा करता है और आज्ञाकारिता के कार्य करके तथा अवज्ञा को त्यागकर अपनी सच्ची तौबा को साबित करता है, तो निश्चय उसकी तौबा स्वीकार की जाती है। |
| Ayah 72 |
| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ لا يَشهَدونَ الزّورَ وَإِذا مَرّوا بِاللَّغوِ مَرّوا كِرامًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena la yashhadoona alzzoora waitha marroo biallaghwi marroo kiraman |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena laa yash hadoonaz zoora wa izaa marroo billaghwi marroo kiraamaa |
| English (Pickthall) | And those who will not witness vanity, but when they pass near senseless play, pass by with dignity. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who witness no falsehood, and, if they pass by futility, they pass by it with honourable (avoidance); |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [they are] those who do not testify to falsehood, and when they pass near ill speech, they pass by with dignity. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who do not attend falsehood, such as places of sins and prohibited amusement, and when they pass by futile statements and actions they pass by quickly, keeping the dignity of their souls by staying away from becoming involved in these things. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जो किसी झूठ और असत्य में सम्मिलित नहीं होते और जब किसी व्यर्थ के कामों के पास से गुज़रते है, तो श्रेष्ठतापूर्वक गुज़र जाते है, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और वह लोग जो फरेब के पास ही नही खड़े होते और वह लोग जब किसी बेहूदा काम के पास से गुज़रते हैं तो बुर्ज़ुगाना अन्दाज़ से गुज़र जाते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा जो लोग असत्य में भाग नहीं लेते; जैसे पाप और और निषिद्ध मनोरंजन के स्थानों (पर उपस्थित नहीं होते)। और जब वे बेकार की बात और काम से गुज़रते हैं, तो अपने आपको उससे बचाते हुए सज्जनतापूर्वक गुज़र जाते हैं। |
| Ayah 73 |
| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ إِذا ذُكِّروا بِآياتِ رَبِّهِم لَم يَخِرّوا عَلَيها صُمًّا وَعُميانًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena itha thukkiroo biayati rabbihim lam yakhirroo AAalayha summan waAAumyanan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena izaa zukkiroo bi Aayaati Rabbihim lam yakhirroo 'alaihaa summanw wa'umyaanaa |
| English (Pickthall) | And those who, when they are reminded of the revelations of their Lord, fall not deaf and blind thereat. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who, when they are admonished with the Signs of their Lord, droop not down at them as if they were deaf or blind; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And those who, when reminded of the verses of their Lord, do not fall upon them deaf and blind. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who, when reminded of Allah’s signs that are heard and seen, do not turn a deaf ear to the signs that are heard and do not turn a blind eye to the signs that are seen. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जो ऐसे हैं कि जब उनके रब की आयतों के द्वारा उन्हें याददिहानी कराई जाती है तो उन (आयतों) पर वे अंधे और बहरे होकर नहीं गिरते। |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और वह लोग कि जब उन्हें उनके परवरदिगार की आयतें याद दिलाई जाती हैं तो बहरे अन्धें होकर गिर नहीं पड़ते बल्कि जी लगाकर सुनते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और वे लोग कि जब उन्हें अल्लाह की सुनाई देने योग्य तथा देखने योग्य निशानियों के साथ उपदेश दिया जाता है, तो वे सुनाई देने योग्य निशानियों को सुनने से बहरे नहीं बनते, न ही देखने योग्य निशानियों को देखने से अंधे बनते हैं। |
| Ayah 74 |
| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ يَقولونَ رَبَّنا هَب لَنا مِن أَزواجِنا وَذُرِّيّاتِنا قُرَّةَ أَعيُنٍ وَاجعَلنا لِلمُتَّقينَ إِمامًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena yaqooloona rabbana hab lana min azwajina wathurriyyatina qurrata aAAyunin waijAAalna lilmuttaqeena imaman |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena yaqooloona Rabbanaa hab lanaa min azwaajinaa wa zurriyaatinaa qurrata a'yuninw waj 'alnaa lilmuttaqeena Imaamaa |
| English (Pickthall) | And who say: Our Lord! Vouchsafe us comfort of our wives and of our offspring, and make us patterns for (all) those who ward off (evil). |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And those who pray, "Our Lord! Grant unto us wives and offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and give us (the grace) to lead the righteous." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And those who say, "Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who say in their prayer to their Lord: Our Lord, give us from our spouses and offspring those who will be the coolness of our eyes due to their piety and steadfastness on the truth. Make us leaders in truth who are emulated by those who are mindful of You. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और जो कहते है, "ऐ हमारे रब! हमें हमारी अपनी पत्नियों और हमारी संतान से आँखों की ठंडक प्रदान कर और हमें डर रखनेवालों का नायक बना दे।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और वह लोग जो (हमसे) अर्ज़ करते हैं कि परवरदिगार हमें हमारी बीबियों और औलादों की तरफ से ऑंखों की ठन्डक अता फरमा और हमको परहेज़गारों का पेशवा बना |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा जो लोग अपने पालनहार से दुआ करते हुए कहते हैं : ऐ हमारे पालनहार! हमें हमारी पत्नियों में से और हमारी संतान में से कोई ऐसा प्रदान कर, जो अपनी धर्मपरायणता और सत्य पर दृढ़ता के कारण हमारी आँखों को सुकून दे। और हमें सच्चाई में परहेज़गारों का 'इमाम' (अग्रगामी) बना कि हमारा अनुसरण किया जाए। |
| Ayah 75 |
| عَرَبِي | أُولٰئِكَ يُجزَونَ الغُرفَةَ بِما صَبَروا وَيُلَقَّونَ فيها تَحِيَّةً وَسَلامًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Olaika yujzawna alghurfata bima sabaroo wayulaqqawna feeha tahiyyatan wasalaman |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ulaaa'ika yujzawnal ghurfata bimaa sabaroo wa yulaqqawna feehaa tahiyyatanw wa salaamaa |
| English (Pickthall) | They will be awarded the high place forasmuch as they were steadfast, and they will meet therein with welcome and the ward of peace, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those are the ones who will be rewarded with the highest place in heaven, because of their patient constancy: therein shall they be met with salutations and peace, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Those will be awarded the Chamber for what they patiently endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of] peace. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who possess those attributes will be rewarded with lofty chambers in the highest stage of Paradise for their steadfastness in following Allah. There they will be met by the angels with greetings and peace and they will be safe there from all difficulties. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | यही वे लोग है जिन्हें, इसके बदले में कि वे जमे रहे, उच्च भवन प्राप्त होगा, तथा ज़िन्दाबाद और सलाम से उनका वहाँ स्वागत होगा |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ये वह लोग हैं जिन्हें उनकी जज़ा में (बेहश्त के) बाला ख़ाने अता किए जाएँगें और वहाँ उन्हें ताज़ीम व सलाम (का बदला) पेश किया जाएगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उक्त विशेषताएँ रखने वाले ये लोग, अल्लाह की आज्ञा मानने में धैर्य रखने के कारण, जन्नतुल फ़िरदौस के अंदर उच्च भवन दिए जाएँगे और वहाँ फ़रिश्तों द्वारा अभिवादन और सलाम के साथ उनका स्वागत किया जाएगा, और वे हर प्रकार की विपत्तियों से सुरक्षित रहेंगे। |
| Ayah 76 |
| عَرَبِي | خالِدينَ فيها ۚ حَسُنَت مُستَقَرًّا وَمُقامًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Khalideena feeha hasunat mustaqarran wamuqaman |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Khaalideena feehaa; hasunat mustaqarranw wa muqaamaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Abiding there for ever. Happy is it as abode and station! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Dwelling therein;- how beautiful an abode and place of rest! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Abiding eternally therein. Good is the settlement and residence. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | There they will stay forever - a beautiful place of settlement for them to settle in and a place of residence for them to reside in. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वहाँ वे सदैव रहेंगे। बहुत ही अच्छी है वह ठहरने की जगह और स्थान; |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वे वहाँ हमेशा के लिए रहेंगे। वह बहुत ही अच्छी ठहरने की जगह है, जहाँ वे ठहरेंगे और बहुत अच्छा निवास स्थान है, जहाँ वे निवास करेंगे। |
| Ayah 77 |
| عَرَبِي | قُل ما يَعبَأُ بِكُم رَبّي لَولا دُعاؤُكُم ۖ فَقَد كَذَّبتُم فَسَوفَ يَكونُ لِزامًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qul ma yaAAbao bikum rabbee lawla duAAaokum faqad kaththabtum fasawfa yakoonu lizaman |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qul maa ya'ba'u bikum Rabbee law laa du'aaa'ukum faqad kazzabtum fasawfa yakoonu lizaamaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Say (O Muhammad, unto the disbelievers): My Lord would not concern Himself with you but for your prayer. But now ye have denied (the Truth), therefor there will be judgment. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Say (to the Rejecters): "My Lord is not uneasy because of you if ye call not on Him: But ye have indeed rejected (Him), and soon will come the inevitable (punishment)!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Say, "What would my Lord care for you if not for your supplication?" For you [disbelievers] have denied, so your denial is going to be adherent. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Say - O Messenger, to the disbelievers who persist in their disbelief: My Lord will never care about you because of some benefit that He gets from your obedience. If it were not because He calls you for your benefit He would not have cared about you. Now since you rejected that which the Messengers brought from your Lord, the recompense for such rejection will be inseparable from you. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | कह दो, "मेरे रब को तुम्हारी कोई परवाह नहीं अगर तुम (उसको) न पुकारो। अब जबकि तुम झुठला चुके हो, तो शीघ्र ही वह चीज़ चिमट जानेवाली होगी।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (ऐ रसूल) तुम कह दो कि अगर दुआ नही किया करते तो मेरा परवरदिगार भी तुम्हारी कुछ परवाह नही करता तुमने तो (उसके रसूल को) झुठलाया तो अन क़रीब ही (उसका वबाल) तुम्हारे सर पडेग़ा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल!) आप कुफ़्र पर अड़े रहने वाले काफ़िरों से कह दें : मेरा पालनहार तुम्हारी परवाह नहीं करता कि उसे तुम्हारे आज्ञापालन से कोई लाभ मिलने वाला है। यदि उसके कुछ बंदे ऐसे न होते, जो उसे इबादत के तौर पर और कुछ माँगने के लिए पुकारते रहते हैं, तो वह तुम्हारी कभी परवाह न करता। क्योंकि रसूल तुम्हारे रब की ओर से तुम्हारे पास जो कुछ लाए हैं, उसमें तुमने रसूल को झुठलाया है। अतः उस झुठलाने का दंड तो तुम्हें मिलकर ही रहेगा। |
