| Transliteration (Unicode) | Taa-Seeen; tilka Aayaatul Qur-aani wa Kitaabim Mubeen |
| English (Pickthall) | Ta. Sin. These are revelations of the Qur'an and a Scripture that maketh plain; |

| عَرَبِي | هُدًى وَبُشرىٰ لِلمُؤمِنينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Hudan wabushra lilmumineena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Hudanw wa bushraa lil mu'mineen |
| English (Pickthall) | A guidance and good tidings for believers |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | A guide: and glad tidings for the believers,- |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | These verses guide to the truth and direct towards it, and give glad-tidings to those who bring faith in Allah and His Messengers. |

| عَرَبِي | الَّذينَ يُقيمونَ الصَّلاةَ وَيُؤتونَ الزَّكاةَ وَهُم بِالآخِرَةِ هُم يوقِنونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Allatheena yuqeemoona alssalata wayutoona alzzakata wahum bialakhirati hum yooqinoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Allazeena yuqeemoonas Salaata wa yu'toonaz Zakaata wa hum bil Aakhirati hum yooqinoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Who establish worship and pay the poor-due and are sure of the Hereafter. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who establish regular prayers and give in regular charity, and also have (full) assurance of the hereafter. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Who establish prayer and give zakah, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith]. |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ الَّذينَ لا يُؤمِنونَ بِالآخِرَةِ زَيَّنّا لَهُم أَعمالَهُم فَهُم يَعمَهونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna allatheena la yuminoona bialakhirati zayyanna lahum aAAmalahum fahum yaAAmahoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innal lazeena laa yu'mimoona bil Aakhirati zaiyannaa lahum a'maalahum fahum ya'mahoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! as for those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have made their works fairseeming unto them so that they are all astray. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | As to those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds pleasing in their eyes; and so they wander about in distraction. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have made pleasing to them their deeds, so they wander blindly. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The disbelievers who do not bring faith in the afterlife and the reward and punishment therein - I adorned their bad deeds for them so they continued in doing them, thus they are confused without finding their way towards what is right or guidance. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निःसंदेह जो काफ़िर आख़िरत तथा उसके सवाब और सज़ा पर ईमान नहीं रखते, हमने उनके बुरे कामों को उनके लिए सुंदर बना दिया है। चुनाँचे वे उन्हें करते रहते हैं। इसलिए वे भटकते फिर रहे हैं, उन्हें सत्य या मार्गदर्शन नहीं मिल रहा है। |
| Ayah 5 |
| عَرَبِي | أُولٰئِكَ الَّذينَ لَهُم سوءُ العَذابِ وَهُم فِي الآخِرَةِ هُمُ الأَخسَرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Olaika allatheena lahum sooo alAAathabi wahum fee alakhirati humu alakhsaroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ulaaa'ikal lazeena lahum sooo'ul 'azaabi wa hum fil Aakhirati humul akhsaroon |
| English (Pickthall) | Those are they for whom is the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Such are they for whom a grievous Penalty is (waiting); and in the Hereafter theirs will be the greatest loss. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Those are the ones for whom there will be the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they are the greatest losers. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Such people will suffer in the worldly life through trials and humiliation and in the Hereafter they suffer the greatest loss, losing themselves and their families on the Day of Judgement and entering Hell forever. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वही लोग है, जिनके लिए बुरी यातना है और वही है जो आख़िरत में अत्यन्त घाटे में रहेंगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो ये लोग भटकते फिरते हैं- यही वह लोग हैं जिनके लिए (क़यामत में) बड़ा अज़ाब है और यही लोग आख़िरत में सबसे ज्यादा घाटा उठाने वाले हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उक्त विशेषताओं वाले ही वे लोग हैं, जिनके लिए इस दुनिया में क़त्ल एवं क़ैद की बुरी यातना है, तथा वे आख़िरत में सबसे ज़्यादा घाटा उठाने वाले होंगे। क्योंकि वे क़ियामत के दिन खुद को और अपने परिवार को, उन्हें हमेशा के लिए जहन्नम का वासी बनाकर, घाटे में डाल देंगे। |

| عَرَبِي | وَإِنَّكَ لَتُلَقَّى القُرآنَ مِن لَدُن حَكيمٍ عَليمٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wainnaka latulaqqa alqurana min ladun hakeemin AAaleemin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa innaka latulaqqal Qur-aana mil ladun Hakeemin 'Aleem |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! as for thee (Muhammad), thou verily receivest the Qur'an from the presence of One Wise, Aware. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | As to thee, the Qur'an is bestowed upon thee from the presence of one who is wise and all-knowing. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And indeed, [O Muhammad], you receive the Qur'an from one Wise and Knowing. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger, you are receiving this Qur’ān which is being revealed to you from one who is Wise in His creating, managing and legislating, and Knowing, with nothing of the interests of His servants being hidden from Him. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और निःसंदेह (ऐ रसूल!) आप अपने ऊपर उतरने वाले इस क़ुरआन को एक ऐसी हस्ती की ओर से प्राप्त कर रहे हैं, जो अपनी रचना, प्रबंधन और विधान में पूर्ण हिकमत वाली है, सब कुछ जानने वाली है, उसके बंदों के हितों में से कोई भी वस्तु उससे छिपी नहीं है। |

| عَرَبِي | إِذ قالَ موسىٰ لِأَهلِهِ إِنّي آنَستُ نارًا سَآتيكُم مِنها بِخَبَرٍ أَو آتيكُم بِشِهابٍ قَبَسٍ لَعَلَّكُم تَصطَلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ith qala moosa liahlihi innee anastu naran saateekum minha bikhabarin aw ateekum bishihabin qabasin laAAallakum tastaloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Iz qaala Moosaa li ahliheee inneee aanastu naaran saaateekum minhaa bikhabarin aw aateekum bishihaabin qabasil la'allakum tastaloon |
| English (Pickthall) | (Remember) when Moses said unto his household: Lo! I spy afar off a fire; I will bring you tidings thence, or bring to you a borrowed flame that ye may warm yourselves. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Behold! Moses said to his family: "I perceive a fire; soon will I bring you from there some information, or I will bring you a burning brand to light our fuel, that ye may warm yourselves. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [Mention] when Moses said to his family, "Indeed, I have perceived a fire. I will bring you from there information or will bring you a burning torch that you may warm yourselves." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Remember, O Messenger, when Moses said to his family: “I have seen a fire. I shall bring some news from it, from the person who lit it to guide us towards the path, or I shall I bring you a flame of fire taken from it, in the hope that you will light a fire from it to warm yourselves from the cold”. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | याद करो जब मूसा ने अपने घरवालों से कहा कि "मैंने एक आग-सी देखी है। मैं अभी वहाँ से तुम्हारे पास कोई ख़बर लेकर आता हूँ या तुम्हारे पास कोई दहकता अंगार लाता हूँ, ताकि तुम तापो।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (वह वाक़िया याद दिलाओ) जब मूसा ने अपने लड़के बालों से कहा कि मैने (अपनी बायीं तरफ) आग देखी है (एक ज़रा ठहरो तो) मै वहाँ से कुछ (राह की) ख़बर लाँऊ या तुम्हें एक सुलगता हुआ आग का अंगारा ला दूँ ताकि तुम तापो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | याद करो (ऐ रसूल!) जिस समय मूसा ने अपने घर वालों से कहा : निःसंदेह मैंने एक आग देखी है। मैं तुम्हारे पास उसे जलाने वाले से कोई ख़बर लाऊँगा, जिससे हमें रास्ते का पता चलेगा, अथवा तुम्हारे पास उससे आग का कोई अंगारा लेकर आऊँगा, ताकि तुम उसके द्वारा अपने आपको ठंड से गर्म कर सको। |
| Ayah 8 |
| عَرَبِي | فَلَمّا جاءَها نودِيَ أَن بورِكَ مَن فِي النّارِ وَمَن حَولَها وَسُبحانَ اللَّهِ رَبِّ العالَمينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Falamma jaaha noodiya an boorika man fee alnnari waman hawlaha wasubhana Allahi rabbi alAAalameena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Falammaa jaaa'ahaa noodiya am boorika man finnnnaari wa man hawlahaa wa Subhaanal laahi Rabbil 'aalameen |
| English (Pickthall) | But when he reached it, he was called, saying: Blessed is Whosoever is in the fire and Whosoever is round about it! And Glorified be Allah, the Lord of the Worlds! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But when he came to the (fire), a voice was heard: "Blessed are those in the fire and those around: and glory to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But when he came to it, he was called, "Blessed is whoever is at the fire and whoever is around it. And exalted is Allah, Lord of the worlds. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Then when he reached the place of the fire that he saw, Allah called unto him that the one in the fire and the angels surrounding it are blessed. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | फिर जब वह उसके पास पहुँचा तो उसे आवाज़ आई कि "मुबारक है वह जो इस आग में है और जो इसके आस-पास है। महान और उच्च है अल्लाह, सारे संसार का रब! |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ग़रज़ जब मूसा इस आग के पास आए तो उनको आवाज़ आयी कि मुबारक है वह जो आग में (तजल्ली दिखाना) है और जो उसके गिर्द है और वह ख़ुदा सारे जहाँ का पालने वाला है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जब वह उस आग के स्थान पर पहुँचे, जो उन्होंने देखी थी, तो अल्लाह ने उन्हें पुकारा : बरकत वाला है वह जो इस आग में है, तथा जो इसके आस-पास फ़रिश्ते हैं। तथा सारे संसारों का पालनहार पवित्र और पाक है उन विशेषताओं से जो उसके योग्य नहीं हैं, जिनसे पथभ्रष्ट लोग उसे विशेषित करते हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | يا موسىٰ إِنَّهُ أَنَا اللَّهُ العَزيزُ الحَكيمُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ya moosa innahu ana Allahu alAAazeezu alhakeemu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yaa Moosaaa innahooo Anal laahul 'Azeezul Hakeem |
| English (Pickthall) | O Moses! Lo! it is I, Allah, the Mighty, the Wise. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "O Moses! verily, I am Allah, the exalted in might, the wise!.... |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | O Moses, indeed it is I - Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Allah said to him: “O Moses, it is I, Allah, the Mighty whom nobody can overpower, Wise in My creating, managing and legislating. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (हर ऐब से) पाक व पाकीज़ा है- ऐ मूसा इसमें शक नहीं कि मै ज़बरदस्त हिकमत वाला हूँ |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अल्लाह ने उनसे कहा : ऐ मूसा! निःसंदेह मैं ही अल्लाह हूँ। सब पर प्रभुत्वशाली हूँ, मुझे कोई पराजित नहीं कर सकता। अपनी रचना, नियति और विधान में पूर्ण हिकमत वाला हूँ। |
| Ayah 10 |
| عَرَبِي | وَأَلقِ عَصاكَ ۚ فَلَمّا رَآها تَهتَزُّ كَأَنَّها جانٌّ وَلّىٰ مُدبِرًا وَلَم يُعَقِّب ۚ يا موسىٰ لا تَخَف إِنّي لا يَخافُ لَدَيَّ المُرسَلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waalqi AAasaka falamma raaha tahtazzu kaannaha jannun walla mudbiran walam yuAAaqqib ya moosa la takhaf innee la yakhafu ladayya almursaloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa alqi 'asaak; falammmaa ra aahaa tahtazzu ka annahaa jaaannunw wallaa mudbiranw wa lam yu'aqqib; yaa Moosaa laa takhaf innee laa yakhaafu ladaiyal mursaloon |
| English (Pickthall) | And throw down thy staff! But when he saw it writhing as it were a demon, he turned to flee headlong; (but it was said unto him): O Moses! Fear not! the emissaries fear not in My presence, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "Now do thou throw thy rod!" But when he saw it moving (of its own accord) as if it had been a snake, he turned back in retreat, and retraced not his steps: "O Moses!" (it was said), "Fear not: truly, in My presence, those called as messengers have no fear,- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [he was told], "Throw down your staff." But when he saw it writhing as if it were a snake, he turned in flight and did not return. [Allah said], "O Moses, fear not. Indeed, in My presence the messengers do not fear. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And throw down your staff”. Moses obeyed. Then when Moses saw it moving and shaking like a snake, he fled turning his back to it and did not return. So Allah said to him: “Do not be scared of it. The Messengers do not fear snakes or anything else in my presence. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | तू अपनी लाठी डाल दे।" जब मूसा ने देखा कि वह बल खा रहा है जैसे वह कोई साँप हो, तो वह पीठ फेरकर भागा और पीछे मुड़कर न देखा। "ऐ मूसा! डर मत। निस्संदेह रसूल मेरे पास डरा नहीं करते, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (हाँ) अपनी छड़ी तो (ज़मीन पर) डाल दो तो जब मूसा ने उसको देखा कि वह इस तरह लहरा रही है गोया वह जिन्दा अज़दहा है तो पिछले पावँ भाग चले और पीछे मुड़कर भी न देखा (तो हमने कहा) ऐ मूसा डरो नहीं हमारे पास पैग़म्बर लोग डरा नहीं करते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और अपनी लाठी डाल दो। मूसा ने आदेश का पालन किया, लेकिन जब उसे साँप की तरह हिलते और रेंगते हुए देखा, तो उससे पीठ फेरकर भागे और पीछे मुड़कर नहीं देखा। तो अल्लाह ने उनसे कहा : इससे भय न खाओ l क्योंकि मेरे पास रसूल साँप या किसी और से नहीं डरते। |
| Ayah 11 |
| عَرَبِي | إِلّا مَن ظَلَمَ ثُمَّ بَدَّلَ حُسنًا بَعدَ سوءٍ فَإِنّي غَفورٌ رَحيمٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Illa man thalama thumma baddala husnan baAAda sooin fainnee ghafoorun raheemun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Illaa man zalama summa baddala husnam ba'da sooo'in fa innee Ghafoorur Raheem |
| English (Pickthall) | Save him who hath done wrong and afterward hath changed evil for good. And lo! I am Forgiving, Merciful. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "But if any have done wrong and have thereafter substituted good to take the place of evil, truly, I am Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Otherwise, he who wrongs, then substitutes good after evil - indeed, I am Forgiving and Merciful. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | However, whoever wrongs himself by committing a sin, then repents after that, I am Forgiving to him, Merciful to him. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | सिवाय उसके जिसने कोई ज़्यादती की हो। फिर बुराई के पश्चात उसे भलाई से बदल दिया, तो मैं भी बड़ा क्षमाशील, अत्यन्त दयावान हूँ |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (मुतमइन हो जाते है) मगर जो शख्स गुनाह करे फिर गुनाह के बाद उसे नेकी (तौबा) से बदल दे तो अलबत्ता बड़ा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान हूँ |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | सिवाय उसके जिसने कोई पाप करके अपने ऊपर अत्याचार किया। फिर उसके बाद तौबा कर ली, तो निःसंदेह मैं उसे बहुत क्षमा करने वाला, उसपर बेहद दयालु हूँ। |
| Ayah 12 |
| عَرَبِي | وَأَدخِل يَدَكَ في جَيبِكَ تَخرُج بَيضاءَ مِن غَيرِ سوءٍ ۖ في تِسعِ آياتٍ إِلىٰ فِرعَونَ وَقَومِهِ ۚ إِنَّهُم كانوا قَومًا فاسِقينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waadkhil yadaka fee jaybika takhruj baydaa min ghayri sooin fee tisAAi ayatin ila firAAawna waqawmihi innahum kanoo qawman fasiqeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa adkhil yadaka fee jaibika takhruj baidaaa'a min ghairisooo'in feetis'i Aayaatin ilaa Fir'awna wa qawmih; innahum kaanoo qawman faasiqeen |
| English (Pickthall) | And put thy hand into the bosom of thy robe, it will come forth white but unhurt. (This will be one) among nine tokens unto Pharaoh and his people Lo! they were ever evil-living folk. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "Now put thy hand into thy bosom, and it will come forth white without stain (or harm): (these are) among the nine Signs (thou wilt take) to Pharaoh and his people: for they are a people rebellious in transgression." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And put your hand into the opening of your garment [at the breast]; it will come out white without disease. [These are] among the nine signs [you will take] to Pharaoh and his people. Indeed, they have been a people defiantly disobedient." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And put your hand in the opening of your shirt; it will come out after entering it white like snow without being due to leprosy, as part of nine signs which testify to your truthfulness. Along with the hand, they are: the staff, famine, loss of fruits, floods, locusts, lice, frogs, and blood, towards Pharaoh and his people. They were a people left the obedience of Allah by disbelieving in him. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अपना हाथ गिरेबान में डाल। वह बिना किसी ख़राबी के उज्जवल चमकता निकलेगा। ये नौ निशानियों में से है फ़िरऔन और उसकी क़ौम की ओर भेजने के लिए। निश्चय ही वे अवज्ञाकारी लोग है।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (वहाँ) और अपना हाथ अपने गरेबॉ में तो डालो कि वह सफेद बुर्राक़ होकर बेऐब निकल आएगा (ये वह मौजिज़े) मिन जुमला नौ मोजिज़ात के हैं जो तुमको मिलेगें तुम फिरऔन और उसकी क़ौम के पास (जाओ) क्योंकि वह बदकिरदार लोग हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और अपना हाथ अपनी कमीज़ के गरीबान में डालो, उसमें डालने के बाद वह कोढ़ (बरस) के बिना बर्फ़ की तरह सफ़ेद निकलेगा। यह उन नौ निशानियों में से एक है, जो आपकी सच्चाई की गवाही देती हैं। (ये नौ निशानियाँ : हाथ का चमकना, लाठी, अकाल, फलों की कमी, तूफान (बाढ़), टिड्डी, खटमल, मेंढक और खून हैं।) इन्हें फ़िरऔन तथा उसकी क़ौम के पास ले जाओ। वे अल्लाह का इनकार करने के कारण उसकी आज्ञाकारिता से निकलने वाले लोग हैं। |
| Ayah 13 |
| عَرَبِي | فَلَمّا جاءَتهُم آياتُنا مُبصِرَةً قالوا هٰذا سِحرٌ مُبينٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Falamma jaathum ayatuna mubsiratan qaloo hatha sihrun mubeenun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Falammaa jaaa'at hum Aayaatunaa mubsiratan qaaloo haazaa sihrum mubeen |
| English (Pickthall) | But when Our tokens came unto them, plain to see, they said: This is mere magic, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But when Our Signs came to them, that should have opened their eyes, they said: "This is sorcery manifest!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But when there came to them Our visible signs, they said, "This is obvious magic." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So when these clear and apparent signs of Mine with which I aided Moses came to them, they said: “These signs which Moses has brought are clear magic”. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | किन्तु जब आँखें खोल देनेवाली हमारी निशानियाँ उनके पास आई तो उन्होंने कहा, "यह तो खुला हुआ जादू है।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो जब उनके पास हमारे ऑंखें खोल देने वाले मैजिज़े आए तो कहने लगे ये तो खुला हुआ जादू है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर जब उनके पास हमारी ये निशानियाँ, जिनके साथ हमने मूसा का समर्थन किया था, स्पष्ट और साफ तौर पर आ गईं, तो उन्होंने कहा : ये निशानियाँ जिन्हें मूसा लेकर आया है, स्पष्ट जादू हैं। |
| Ayah 14 |
| عَرَبِي | وَجَحَدوا بِها وَاستَيقَنَتها أَنفُسُهُم ظُلمًا وَعُلُوًّا ۚ فَانظُر كَيفَ كانَ عاقِبَةُ المُفسِدينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wajahadoo biha waistayqanatha anfusuhum thulman waAAuluwwan faonthur kayfa kana AAaqibatu almufsideena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa jahadoo bihaa wastaiqanat haaa anfusuhum zulmanw-wa 'uluwwaa; fanzur kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul mufsideen |
| English (Pickthall) | And they denied them, though their souls acknowledged them, for spite and arrogance. Then see the nature of the consequence for the wrong-doers! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And they rejected those Signs in iniquity and arrogance, though their souls were convinced thereof: so see what was the end of those who acted corruptly! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And they rejected them, while their [inner] selves were convinced thereof, out of injustice and haughtiness. So see how was the end of the corrupters. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They disbelieved in these miracles and did not accept them, despite being convinced they are from Allah, due to their wrongdoing and their arrogance from the truth. So contemplate, O Messenger, how was the outcome of those who cause corruption on earth, due to their disbelief and disobedience; I destroyed them and eradicated all of them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उन्होंने ज़ुल्म और सरकशी से उनका इनकार कर दिया, हालाँकि उनके जी को उनका विश्वास हो चुका था। अब देख लो इन बिगाड़ पैदा करनेवालों का क्या परिणाम हुआ? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और बावजूद के उनके दिल को उन मौजिज़ात का यक़ीन था मगर फिर भी उन लोगों ने सरकशी और तकब्बुर से उनको न माना तो (ऐ रसूल) देखो कि (आखिर) मुफसिदों का अन्जाम क्या होगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उन्होंने इन स्पष्ट निशानियों का इनकार कर दिया और उन्हें मानने पर नहीं आए। हालाँकि उनके दिलों को इस बात का अच्छी तरह विश्वास था कि ये अल्लाह की ओर से हैं; ऐसा उन्होंने अत्याचार और सत्य से अहंकार के कारण किया। अतः (ऐ रसूल!) विचार करें कि अपने कुफ़्र और अवज्ञा के द्वारा घरती पर बिगाड़ पैदा करने वालों का परिणाम कैसा रहा! निश्चय हमने उन्हें नष्ट कर दिया और उन सबका विनाश कर दिया। |
| Ayah 15 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَقَد آتَينا داوودَ وَسُلَيمانَ عِلمًا ۖ وَقالَا الحَمدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذي فَضَّلَنا عَلىٰ كَثيرٍ مِن عِبادِهِ المُؤمِنينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaqad atayna dawooda wasulaymana AAilman waqala alhamdu lillahi allathee faddalana AAala katheerin min AAibadihi almumineena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laqad aatainaa Daawooda wa sulaimaana 'ilmaa; wa qaalal hamdu lil laahil lazee faddalanaa 'alaa kaseerim min 'ibaadihil mu'mineen |
| English (Pickthall) | And We verily gave knowledge unto David and Solomon, and they said: Praise be to Allah, Who hath preferred us above many of His believing slaves! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | We gave (in the past) knowledge to David and Solomon: And they both said: "Praise be to Allah, Who has favoured us above many of his servants who believe!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We had certainly given to David and Solomon knowledge, and they said, "Praise [is due] to Allah, who has favored us over many of His believing servants." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I granted David and his son Solomon knowledge, part of which was the language of birds. David and Solomon said, in gratitude to Allah: “All praise is for Allah who has given us virtue over many of his believing servants, through prophethood and subjugating the jinns”. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और इसमें शक नहीं कि हमने दाऊद और सुलेमान को इल्म अता किया और दोनों ने (ख़ुश होकर) कहा ख़ुदा का शुक्र जिसने हमको अपने बहुतेरे ईमानदार बन्दों पर फज़ीलत दी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निःसंदेह हमने दाऊद तथा उनके पुत्र सुलैमान को ज्ञान प्रदान किया। उसी में पक्षियों की बातों का ज्ञान भी शामिल है। दाऊद और सुलैमान ने प्रभुत्वशाली और महान अल्लाह का शुक्र अदा करते हुए कहा : हर प्रकार की प्रशंसा अल्लाह के लिए है, जिसने हमें ज्ञान और नुबुव्वत (पैग़ंबरी) से सम्मानित करके अपने बहुत-से ईमान वाले बंदों पर श्रेष्ठता प्रदान की। |
| Ayah 16 |
| عَرَبِي | وَوَرِثَ سُلَيمانُ داوودَ ۖ وَقالَ يا أَيُّهَا النّاسُ عُلِّمنا مَنطِقَ الطَّيرِ وَأوتينا مِن كُلِّ شَيءٍ ۖ إِنَّ هٰذا لَهُوَ الفَضلُ المُبينُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wawaritha sulaymanu dawooda waqala ya ayyuha alnnasu AAullimna mantiqa alttayri waooteena min kulli shayin inna hatha lahuwa alfadlu almubeenu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa warisa Sulaimaanu Daawooda wa qaala yaaa aiyuhan naasu 'ullimnaa mantiqat tairi wa ooteenaa min kulli shai'in inna haazaa lahuwal fadlul mubeen |
| English (Pickthall) | And Solomon was David's heir. And he said: O mankind! Lo! we have been taught the language of birds, and have been given (abundance) of all things. This surely is evident favour. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And Solomon was David's heir. He said: "O ye people! We have been taught the speech of birds, and on us has been bestowed (a little) of all things: this is indeed Grace manifest (from Allah.)" |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (इल्म हिकमत जाएदाद (मनकूला) गैर मनकूला सब में) सुलेमान दाऊद के वारिस हुए और कहा कि लोग हम को (ख़ुदा के फज़ल से) परिन्दों की बोली भी सिखायी गयी है और हमें (दुनिया की) हर चीज़ अता की गयी है इसमें शक नहीं कि ये यक़ीनी (ख़ुदा का) सरीही फज़ल व करम है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और सुलैमान नुबुव्वत (पैग़ंबरी), ज्ञान तथा राजत्व में अपने पिता दाऊद के उत्तराधिकारी बने और खुद अपने तथा अपने पिता पर अल्लाह के अनुग्रह का वर्णन करते हुए कहा : ऐ लोगो! अल्लाह ने हमें पक्षियों की आवाज़ों को समझना सिखाया और हमें हर उस चीज़ में से प्रदान किया, जो उसने नबियों और बादशाहों को प्रदान किया। निःसंदेह यह जो अल्लाह ने हमें प्रदान किया, निश्चय यही स्पष्ट अनुकंपा है। |
| Ayah 17 |
| عَرَبِي | وَحُشِرَ لِسُلَيمانَ جُنودُهُ مِنَ الجِنِّ وَالإِنسِ وَالطَّيرِ فَهُم يوزَعونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wahushira lisulaymana junooduhu mina aljinni waalinsi waalttayri fahum yoozaAAoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa hushira Sulaimaana junooduhoo minal jinni wal insi wattairi fahum yooza'oon |
| English (Pickthall) | And there were gathered together unto Solomon his armies of the jinn and humankind, and of the birds, and they were set in battle order; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And before Solomon were marshalled his hosts,- of Jinns and men and birds, and they were all kept in order and ranks. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And gathered for Solomon were his soldiers of the jinn and men and birds, and they were [marching] in rows. |

| عَرَبِي | حَتّىٰ إِذا أَتَوا عَلىٰ وادِ النَّملِ قالَت نَملَةٌ يا أَيُّهَا النَّملُ ادخُلوا مَساكِنَكُم لا يَحطِمَنَّكُم سُلَيمانُ وَجُنودُهُ وَهُم لا يَشعُرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Hatta itha ataw AAala wadi alnnamli qalat namlatun ya ayyuha alnnamlu odkhuloo masakinakum la yahtimannakum sulaymanu wajunooduhu wahum la yashAAuroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | hattaaa izaaa ataw 'alaa waadin namli qaalat namlatuny yaaa aiyuhan namlud khuloo masaakinakum laa yahtimannakum Sulaimaanu wa junooduhoo wa hum laa yash'uroon |
| English (Pickthall) | Till, when they reached the Valley of the Ants, an ant exclaimed: O ants! Enter your dwellings lest Solomon and his armies crush you, unperceiving. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | At length, when they came to a (lowly) valley of ants, one of the ants said: "O ye ants, get into your habitations, lest Solomon and his hosts crush you (under foot) without knowing it." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Until, when they came upon the valley of the ants, an ant said, "O ants, enter your dwellings that you not be crushed by Solomon and his soldiers while they perceive not." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They were being led until when they came to the valley of ants (a place in the Levant), one of the ants said: “O ants, enter your homes so that Solomon and his armies do not destroy you whilst they do not know of you, because if they know of you they will not trample you”. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | यहाँ तक कि जब वे चींटियों की घाटी में पहुँचे तो एक चींटी ने कहा, "ऐ चींटियों! अपने घरों में प्रवेश कर जाओ। कहीं सुलैमान और उसकी सेनाएँ तुम्हें कुचल न डालें और उन्हें एहसास भी न हो।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो वह सबके सब (मसल मसल) खडे क़िए जाते थे (ग़रज़ इस तरह लशकर चलता) यहाँ तक कि जब (एक दिन) चीटीयों के मैदान में आ निकले तो एक चीटीं बोली ऐ चीटीयों अपने अपने बिल में घुस जाओ- ऐसा न हो कि सुलेमान और उनका लश्कर तुम्हे रौन्द डाले और उन्हें उसकी ख़बर भी न हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वे चलाए जाते रहे यहाँ तक कि जब वे चींटियों की एक घाटी (शाम - लेवंत - में एक जगह) में पहुँचे, तो एक चींटी ने कहा : ऐ चींटियो! अपने घरों में प्रवेश कर जाओ। ताकि सुलैमान और उसके सैनिक तुम्हें नष्ट न कर दें, जबकि उन्हें तुम्हारे बारे में पता भी न हो। क्योंकि अगर वे तुम्हारे बारे में जानते, तो वे तुम्हें नहीं रौंदते। |
| Ayah 19 |
| عَرَبِي | فَتَبَسَّمَ ضاحِكًا مِن قَولِها وَقالَ رَبِّ أَوزِعني أَن أَشكُرَ نِعمَتَكَ الَّتي أَنعَمتَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلىٰ والِدَيَّ وَأَن أَعمَلَ صالِحًا تَرضاهُ وَأَدخِلني بِرَحمَتِكَ في عِبادِكَ الصّالِحينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fatabassama dahikan min qawliha waqala rabbi awziAAnee an ashkura niAAmataka allatee anAAamta AAalayya waAAala walidayya waan aAAmala salihan tardahu waadkhilnee birahmatika fee AAibadika alssaliheena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fatabassama daahikam min qawlihaa wa qaala Rabbi awzi'nee an ashkura ni'mata kal lateee an'amta 'alaiya wa 'alaa waalidaiya wa an a'mala saalihan tardaahu wa adkhilnee birahmatika fee 'ibaadikas saaliheen |
| English (Pickthall) | And (Solomon) smiled, laughing at her speech, and said: My Lord, arouse me to be thankful for Thy favour wherewith Thou hast favoured me and my parents, and to do good that shall be pleasing unto Thee, and include me in (the number of) Thy righteous slaves. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | So he smiled, amused at her speech; and he said: "O my Lord! so order me that I may be grateful for Thy favours, which thou hast bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I may work the righteousness that will please Thee: And admit me, by Thy Grace, to the ranks of Thy righteous Servants." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So [Solomon] smiled, amused at her speech, and said, "My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor which You have bestowed upon me and upon my parents and to do righteousness of which You approve. | English (Abridged Expl.) | When Solomon heard it saying this, he smiled due to this statement of his and he said, calling unto his Lord: “O Lord, enable me and inspire me to be grateful for Your favour which You gave to me and My parents, and enable me to do good actions which please you, and enter me amongst Your righteous servants”. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | तो वह उसकी बात पर प्रसन्न होकर मुस्कराया और कहा, "मेरे रब! मुझे संभाले रख कि मैं तेरी उस कृपा पर कृतज्ञता दिखाता रहूँ जो तूने मुझपर और मेरे माँ-बाप पर की है। और यह कि अच्छा कर्म करूँ जो तुझे पसन्द आए और अपनी दयालुता से मुझे अपने अच्छे बन्दों में दाखिल कर।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो सुलेमान इस बात से मुस्कुरा के हँस पड़ें और अर्ज क़ी परवरदिगार मुझे तौफीक़ अता फरमा कि जैसी जैसी नेअमतें तूने मुझ पर और मेरे वालदैन पर नाज़िल फरमाई हैं मै (उनका) शुक्रिया अदा करुँ और मैं ऐसे नेक काम करुँ जिसे तू पसन्द फरमाए और तू अपनी ख़ास मेहरबानी से मुझे (अपने) नेकोकार बन्दों में दाखिल कर |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जब सुलैमान अलैहिस्सलाम ने चींटी की बात सुनी, तो उसकी इस बात से हँसते हुए मुसकुराए और अपने पवित्र रब से प्रार्थना करते हुए कहने लगे : ऐ मेरे पालनहार! मुझे सामर्थ्य प्रदान कर और मुझे अपनी उस ने'मत के लिए आभारी होने की प्रेरणा दे, जो तूने मुझे और मेरे माता-पिता को प्रदान की है। तथा मुझे सामर्थ्य दे कि मैं नेक कार्य करूँ, जिससे तू पसंद करे। और मुझे अपनी दया से अपने सदाचारी बंदों के समूह में शामिल कर ले। |
| Ayah 20 |
| عَرَبِي | وَتَفَقَّدَ الطَّيرَ فَقالَ ما لِيَ لا أَرَى الهُدهُدَ أَم كانَ مِنَ الغائِبينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Watafaqqada alttayra faqala ma liya la ara alhudhuda am kana mina alghaibeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa tafaqqadat taira faqaala maa liya laaa aral hud hud, am kaana minal ghaaa'ibeen |
| English (Pickthall) | And he sought among the birds and said: How is it that I see not the hoopoe, or is he among the absent? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And he took a muster of the Birds; and he said: "Why is it I see not the Hoopoe? Or is he among the absentees? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And he took attendance of the birds and said, "Why do I not see the hoopoe - or is he among the absent? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And Solomon took attendance of the birds but did not see the hoopoe, so he said: “What is with me that I do not see the hoopoe? Has something stopped me seeing it or is it from the absentees?” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उसने पक्षियों की जाँच-पड़ताल की तो कहा, "क्या बात है कि मैं हुदहुद को नहीं देख रहा हूँ, (वह यहीं कहीं है) या ग़ायब हो गया है? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और सुलेमान ने परिन्दों (के लश्कर) की हाज़िरी ली तो कहने लगे कि क्या बात है कि मै हुदहुद को (उसकी जगह पर) नहीं देखता क्या (वाक़ई में) वह कही ग़ायब है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और सुलैमान ने पक्षियों का निरीक्षण किया, पर हुदहुद को नहीं देखा। तो इसपर कहा : क्या बात है कि मैं हुदहुद को नहीं देख रहा हूँ? क्या किसी बाधा के कारण मैं उसे नहीं देख पा रहा हूँ अथवा वह अनुपस्थित है? |
| Ayah 21 |
| عَرَبِي | لَأُعَذِّبَنَّهُ عَذابًا شَديدًا أَو لَأَذبَحَنَّهُ أَو لَيَأتِيَنّي بِسُلطانٍ مُبينٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | LaoAAaththibannahu AAathaban shadeedan aw laathbahannahu aw layatiyannee bisultanin mubeenin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | La-u'azzibanahoo 'azaaban shadeedan aw la azbahannahoo aw layaatiyannee bisultaanim mubeen |
| English (Pickthall) | I verily will punish him with hard punishment or I verily will slay him, or he verily shall bring me a plain excuse. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "I will certainly punish him with a severe penalty, or execute him, unless he bring me a clear reason (for absence)." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | I will surely punish him with a severe punishment or slaughter him unless he brings me clear authorization." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | He said when its absence became clear to him: “I shall punish it severely, or I shall slaughter it as a punishment for being absent, unless it brings a clear proof to prove its excuse for absence”. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | मैं उसे कठोर दंड दूँगा या उसे ज़बह ही कर डालूँगा या फिर वह मेरे सामने कोई स्पष्ट॥ कारण प्रस्तुत करे।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (अगर ऐसा है तो) मै उसे सख्त से सख्त सज़ा दूँगा या (नहीं तो ) उसे ज़बाह ही कर डालूँगा या वह (अपनी बेगुनाही की) कोई साफ दलील मेरे पास पेश करे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जब उनके लिए उसकी अनुपस्थिति स्पष्ट हो गई, तो उन्होंने कहा : मैं उसे अनुपस्थित रहने की कड़ी सज़ा दूँगा अथवा उसे ज़बह कर डालूँगा, या फिर वह मेरे पास एक स्पष्ट तर्क लेकर आए, जो उसके अनुपस्थित होने के कारण को बयान करे। |
| Ayah 22 |
| عَرَبِي | فَمَكَثَ غَيرَ بَعيدٍ فَقالَ أَحَطتُ بِما لَم تُحِط بِهِ وَجِئتُكَ مِن سَبَإٍ بِنَبَإٍ يَقينٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Famakatha ghayra baAAeedin faqala ahattu bima lam tuhit bihi wajituka min sabain binabain yaqeenin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Famakasa ghaira ba'eedin faqaala ahattu bimaa lam tuhit bihee wa ji'tuka min Sabaim binaba iny-yaqeen |
| English (Pickthall) | But he was not long in coming, and he said: I have found out (a thing) that thou apprehendest not, and I come unto thee from Sheba with sure tidings. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But the Hoopoe tarried not far: he (came up and) said: "I have compassed (territory) which thou hast not compassed, and I have come to thee from Saba with tidings true. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But the hoopoe stayed not long and said, "I have encompassed [in knowledge] that which you have not encompassed, and I have come to you from Sheba with certain news. |

| عَرَبِي | قالوا نَحنُ أُولو قُوَّةٍ وَأُولو بَأسٍ شَديدٍ وَالأَمرُ إِلَيكِ فَانظُري ماذا تَأمُرينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qaloo nahnu oloo quwwatin waoloo basin shadeedin waalamru ilayki faonthuree matha tamureena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qaaloo nahnu uloo quwwatinw wa uloo baasin shadeed; wal amru ilaiki fanzuree maazaa taamureen |
| English (Pickthall) | They said: We are lords of might and lords of great prowess, but it is for thee to command; so consider what thou wilt command. |

| عَرَبِي | قالَت إِنَّ المُلوكَ إِذا دَخَلوا قَريَةً أَفسَدوها وَجَعَلوا أَعِزَّةَ أَهلِها أَذِلَّةً ۖ وَكَذٰلِكَ يَفعَلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qalat inna almulooka itha dakhaloo qaryatan afsadooha wajaAAaloo aAAizzata ahliha athillatan wakathalika yafAAaloona |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | मलका ने कहा बादशाहों का क़ायदा है कि जब किसी बस्ती में (बज़ोरे फ़तेह) दाख़िल हो जाते हैं तो उसको उजाड़ देते हैं और वहाँ के मुअज़िज़ लोगों को ज़लील व रुसवा कर देते हैं और ये लोग भी ऐसा ही करेंगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | रानी ने कहा : राजा जब किसी बस्ती में प्रवेश करते हैं, तो क़त्ल तथा लूट-पाट का बाज़ार गर्म करके उसे ख़राब कर देते हैं और उसके सरदारों और अशराफिया को अपमानित करते हैं, जबकि वे पहले उसमें प्रतिष्ठा और शक्ति वाले थे। तथा राजा हमेशा ऐसा ही करते हैं, जब वे किसी बस्ती को पराजित करते हैं; ताकि लोगों के दिलों में आतंक और दहशत पैदा कर सकें। |

| عَرَبِي | وَإِنّي مُرسِلَةٌ إِلَيهِم بِهَدِيَّةٍ فَناظِرَةٌ بِمَ يَرجِعُ المُرسَلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wainnee mursilatun ilayhim bihadiyyatin fanathiratun bima yarjiAAu almursaloona |

| English (Pickthall) | But lo! I am going to send a present unto them, and to see with what (answer) the messengers return. |

| عَرَبِي | فَلَمّا جاءَ سُلَيمانَ قالَ أَتُمِدّونَنِ بِمالٍ فَما آتانِيَ اللَّهُ خَيرٌ مِمّا آتاكُم بَل أَنتُم بِهَدِيَّتِكُم تَفرَحونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Falamma jaa sulaymana qala atumiddoonani bimalin fama ataniya Allahu khayrun mimma atakum bal antum bihadiyyatikum tafrahoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Falammaa jaaa'a Sulaimaana qaala atumiddoonani bimaalin famaaa aataakum bal antum bihadiy yatikum tafrahoon |
| English (Pickthall) | So when (the envoy) came unto Solomon, (the King) said: What! Would ye help me with wealth? But that which Allah hath given me is better than that which He hath given you. Nay it is ye (and not I) who exult in your gift. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जब रानी का दूत और उसके साथ उसके सहायक उपहार लेकर सुलैमान के पास आए, तो सुलैमान ने उनके उपहार भेजने को नकारते हुए कहा : क्या तुम धन से मेरी सहायता करते हो, ताकि मुझे अपनी ओर से फेर सको? (सुनो!) अल्लाह ने मुझे पैग़ंबरी, राजत्व तथा धन-दौलत के रूप में जो कुछ दिया है, वह उससे बेहतर है, जो उस ने तुम्हें दिया है। बल्कि, तुम ही लोग इस प्रकार के सांसारिक उपहारों के दिए जाने पर खुश होते हो। |

| عَرَبِي | ارجِع إِلَيهِم فَلَنَأتِيَنَّهُم بِجُنودٍ لا قِبَلَ لَهُم بِها وَلَنُخرِجَنَّهُم مِنها أَذِلَّةً وَهُم صاغِرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | IrjiAA ilayhim falanatiyannahum bijunoodin la qibala lahum biha walanukhrijannahum minha athillatan wahum saghiroona |

| English (Pickthall) | Return unto them. We verily shall come unto them with hosts that they cannot resist, and we shall drive them out from thence with shame, and they will be abased. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | सुलैमान अलैहिस्सलाम ने रानी के दूत से कहा : तुम जो उपहार लेकर आए हो, उसे लेकर उनके पास वापस जाओ। यदि वे आज्ञाकारी बनकर मेरे पास नहीं आए, तो हम रानी तथा उसके लोगों पर ऐसी सेनाएँ लेकर आएँगे जिनका सामना करने की उनमें कोई शक्ति नहीं और हम अवश्य उन्हें 'सबा' से इस हाल में निकालेंगे कि वे वहाँ सम्मान पूर्ण रहने के बाद अपमानित और तिरस्कृत होंगे। |

| عَرَبِي | قالَ يا أَيُّهَا المَلَأُ أَيُّكُم يَأتيني بِعَرشِها قَبلَ أَن يَأتوني مُسلِمينَ |

| عَرَبِي | قالَ الَّذي عِندَهُ عِلمٌ مِنَ الكِتابِ أَنا آتيكَ بِهِ قَبلَ أَن يَرتَدَّ إِلَيكَ طَرفُكَ ۚ فَلَمّا رَآهُ مُستَقِرًّا عِندَهُ قالَ هٰذا مِن فَضلِ رَبّي لِيَبلُوَني أَأَشكُرُ أَم أَكفُرُ ۖ وَمَن شَكَرَ فَإِنَّما يَشكُرُ لِنَفسِهِ ۖ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ رَبّي غَنِيٌّ كَريمٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qala allathee AAindahu AAilmun mina alkitabi ana ateeka bihi qabla an yartadda ilayka tarfuka falamma raahu mustaqirran AAindahu qala hatha min fadli rabbee liyabluwanee aashkuru am akfuru waman shakara fainnama yashkuru linafsihi waman kafara fainna rabbee ghaniyyun kareemun |

And when he saw it set in his presence, (Solomon) said: This is of the bounty of my Lord, that He may try me whether I give thanks or am ungrateful. Whosoever giveth thanks he only giveth thanks for (the good of) his own soul; and whosoever is ungrateful (is ungrateful only to his own soul's hurt). For lo! my Lord is Absolute in independence, Bountiful. |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | A pious knowledgeable man in the presence of Solomon who had knowledge of the scripture, part of which was the greatest name of Allah which Allah accepts prayers when supplicated through, said: “I shall bring her throne to you before your glance returns to you, by praying to Allah to bring it”. So he prayed, and Allah answered his prayer. When Solomon saw her throne placed before him, he said: “This is from the grace of my Lord, to test me whether I am grateful for his favours or ungrateful? Whoever is grateful to Allah, the benefit of his gratefulness will only return to him, because Allah is self sufficient, in no need of anything, is not benefitted or harmed by the gratefulness of His servants. And whoever rejects the favours of Allah and does not thank Him for them, my Lord is self-sufficient, in no need of being shown gratitude, and Generous. Part of His generosity is granting those who deny them”. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जिस व्यक्ति के पास किताब का ज्ञान था, उसने कहा, "मैं आपकी पलक झपकने से पहले उसे आपके पास लाए देता हूँ।" फिर जब उसने उसे अपने पास रखा हुआ देखा तो कहा, "यह मेरे रब का उदार अनुग्रह है, ताकि वह मेरी परीक्षा करे कि मैं कृतज्ञता दिखाता हूँ या कृतघ्न बनता हूँ। जो कृतज्ञता दिखलाता है तो वह अपने लिए ही कृतज्ञता दिखलाता है और वह जिसने कृतघ्नता दिखाई, तो मेरा रब निश्चय ही निस्पृह, बड़ा उदार है।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | इस पर अभी सुलेमान कुछ कहने न पाए थे कि वह शख्स (आसिफ़ बिन बरख़िया) जिसके पास किताबे (ख़ुदा) का किस कदर इल्म था बोला कि मै आप की पलक झपकने से पहले तख्त को आप के पास हाज़िर किए देता हूँ (बस इतने ही में आ गया) तो जब सुलेमान ने उसे अपने पास मौजूद पाया तो कहने लगे ये महज़ मेरे परवरदिगार का फज़ल व करम है ताकि वह मेरा इम्तेहान ले कि मै उसका शुक्र करता हूँ या नाशुक्री करता हूँ और जो कोई शुक्र करता है वह अपनी ही भलाई के लिए शुक्र करता है और जो शख्स ना शुक्री करता है तो (याद रखिए) मेरा परवरदिगार यक़ीनन बेपरवा और सख़ी है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | सुलैमान के पास उपस्थित एक सदाचारी ज्ञानी व्यक्ति, जिसके पास आसमानी किताबों का ज्ञान था, जिसमें अल्लाह का वह "इस्मे आज़म" (महान नाम) भी शामिल है, जिसकी विशेषता यह है कि यदि उसके द्वारा दुआ की जाए तो अल्लाह क़बूल करता है, ने कहा : मैं आपके पलक झपकाने से पहले ही उसका सिंहासन आपके पास ले आऊँगा; इस तौर पर कि मैं अल्लाह से प्रार्थना करूँगा और वह उसे यहाँ ले आएगाl अतः उसने प्रार्थना की और अल्लाह ने उसकी प्रार्थना स्वीकार कर ली। जब सुलैमान ने उसके सिंहासन को अपने पास हाज़िर देखा, तो कहा : यह मेरे पालनहार की कृपा से है; ताकि वह मेरी परीक्षा ले कि मैं उसकी नेमतों का शुक्र अदा करता हूँ या उनकी नाशुक्री करता हूँ? और जो अल्लाह का शुक्र अदा करता है, तो उसकी शुक्रगुज़ारी का लाभ उसी को मिलता है। क्योंकि अल्लाह बेनियाज़ है, बंदों की शुक्रगुज़ारी उसे नहीं बढ़ाती। तथा जिसने अल्लाह की नेमतों का इनकार किया और उनपर अल्लाह का शुक्र अदा नहीं किया, तो निश्चय मेरा पालनहार उसके शुक्र से बहुत बेनियाज़, बहुत उदार है। तथा यह उसकी उदारता है कि नेमतों की नाशुक्री करने वालों को भी प्रदान करता है। |
| Ayah 41 |
| عَرَبِي | قالَ نَكِّروا لَها عَرشَها نَنظُر أَتَهتَدي أَم تَكونُ مِنَ الَّذينَ لا يَهتَدونَ |

| English (Pickthall) | He said: Disguise her throne for her that we may see whether she will go aright or be of those not rightly guided. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | He said: "Transform her throne out of all recognition by her: let us see whether she is guided (to the truth) or is one of those who receive no guidance." |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | सुलैमान अलैहिस्सलाम ने कहा : उसके लिए उसके राज-सिंहासन का रूप बदल दो। ताकि हम देखें : क्या वह इस तथ्य को जान पाती है कि यह उसी का सिंहासन है, या कि वह उन लोगों में से हो जाती है जो अपनी वस्तुएँ भी नहीं पहचान पाते हैं? |

| عَرَبِي | فَلَمّا جاءَت قيلَ أَهٰكَذا عَرشُكِ ۖ قالَت كَأَنَّهُ هُوَ ۚ وَأوتينَا العِلمَ مِن قَبلِها وَكُنّا مُسلِمينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Falamma jaat qeela ahakatha AAarshuki qalat kaannahu huwa waooteena alAAilma min qabliha wakunna muslimeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Falammaa jaaa'at qeela ahaakaza 'arshuki qaalat kaanna hoo; wa ooteenal 'ilma min qablihaa wa kunnaa muslimeen |
| English (Pickthall) | So, when she came, it was said (unto her): Is thy throne like this? She said: (It is) as though it were the very one. And (Solomon said): We were given the knowledge before her and we had surrendered (to Allah). |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जब सबा की रानी सुलैमान के पास आई, तो उसकी परीक्षा करने के लिए उससे कहा गया : क्या यह तेरे सिंहासन के समान है? उसने प्रश्न के अनुसार उत्तर दिया : मानो यह वही है। तो सुलैमान ने कहा : अल्लाह ने हमें इससे पहले ही ज्ञान दे रखा था कि वह इस तरह के कार्यों को अंजाम देने की पूरी शक्ति रखता है। तथा हम अल्लाह के आदेश के अधीन थे और उसके प्रति आज्ञाकारी थे। |
| Ayah 43 |
| عَرَبِي | وَصَدَّها ما كانَت تَعبُدُ مِن دونِ اللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّها كانَت مِن قَومٍ كافِرينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wasaddaha ma kanat taAAbudu min dooni Allahi innaha kanat min qawmin kafireena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa saddahaa maa kaanat ta'budu min doonil laahi innahaa kaanat min qawmin kaafireen |
| English (Pickthall) | And (all) that she was wont to worship instead of Allah hindered her, for she came of disbelieving folk. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And he diverted her from the worship of others besides Allah: for she was (sprung) of a people that had no faith. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And that which she was worshipping other than Allah had averted her [from submission to Him]. Indeed, she was from a disbelieving people." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And she was turned away from the Oneness of Allah by what she used to worship besides Allah, in following her people and blindly imitating them. She was amongst the people who disbelieve in Allah, so she was a disbeliever like them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अल्लाह से हटकर वह दूसरे को पूजती थी। इसी चीज़ ने उसे रोक रखा था। निस्संदेह वह एक इनकार करनेवाली क़ौम में से थी |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और ख़ुदा के सिवा जिसे वह पूजती थी सुलेमान ने उससे उसे रोक दिया क्योंकि वह काफिर क़ौम की थी (और आफताब को पूजती थी) |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और उसे अल्लाह की तौहीद (एकेश्वरवाद) से उस चीज़ ने रोक रखा था जो वह अपनी जाति का अनुकरण करते हुए अल्लाह के अलावा पूजती थी। निःसंदेह वह उन लोगों में से थी जो अल्लाह का इनकार करने वाले थे। इसलिए वह (भी) उनके समान काफ़िर थी। |
| Ayah 44 |
| عَرَبِي | قيلَ لَهَا ادخُلِي الصَّرحَ ۖ فَلَمّا رَأَتهُ حَسِبَتهُ لُجَّةً وَكَشَفَت عَن ساقَيها ۚ قالَ إِنَّهُ صَرحٌ مُمَرَّدٌ مِن قَواريرَ ۗ قالَت رَبِّ إِنّي ظَلَمتُ نَفسي وَأَسلَمتُ مَعَ سُلَيمانَ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ العالَمينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qeela laha odkhulee alssarha falamma raathu hasibathu lujjatan wakashafat AAan saqayha qala innahu sarhun mumarradun min qawareera qalat rabbi innee thalamtu nafsee waaslamtu maAAa sulaymana lillahi rabbi alAAalameena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qeela lahad khulis sarha falammaa ra at hu hasibat hu lujjatanw wa khashafat 'an saaqaihaa; qaala innahoo sarhum mumarradum min qawaareer; qaalat Rabbi innee zalamtu nafsee wa aslamtu ma'a Sulaimaana lillaahi Rabbil 'aalameen |
| English (Pickthall) | It was said unto her: Enter the hall. And when she saw it she deemed it a pool and bared her legs. (Solomon) said: Lo! it is a hall, made smooth, of glass. She said: My Lord! Lo! I have wronged myself, and I surrender with Solomon unto Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | She was asked to enter the lofty Palace: but when she saw it, she thought it was a lake of water, and she (tucked up her skirts), uncovering her legs. He called her to Islam, so she accepted what he called her towards, saying: “O Lord, I wronged myself by worshipping others besides You, and I have submitted with Solomon to Allah, Lord of all created things”. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उससे कहा गया कि "महल में प्रवेश करो।" तो जब उसने उसे देखा तो उसने उसको गहरा पानी समझा और उसने अपनी दोनों पिंडलियाँ खोल दी। उसने कहा, "यह तो शीशे से निर्मित महल है।" बोली, "ऐ मेरे रब! निश्चय ही मैंने अपने आपपर ज़ुल्म किया। अब मैंने सुलैमान के साथ अपने आपको अल्लाह के समर्पित कर दिया, जो सारे संसार का रब है।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | फिर उससे कहा गया कि आप अब महल मे चलिए तो जब उसने महल (में शीशे के फर्श) को देखा तो उसको गहरा पानी समझी (और गुज़रने के लिए इस तरह अपने पाएचे उठा लिए कि) अपनी दोनों पिन्डलियाँ खोल दी सुलेमान ने कहा (तुम डरो नहीं) ये (पानी नहीं है) महल है जो शीशे से मढ़ा हुआ है (उस वक्त तम्बीह हुई और) अर्ज़ की परवरदिगार मैने (आफताब को पूजा कर) यक़ीनन अपने ऊपर ज़ुल्म किया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उससे कहा गया कि महल में प्रवेश कर जाओ, जो एक सतह के समान था। जब उसने महल को देखा, तो उसे कोई जलाशय समझ बैठी और उसमें उतरने के लिए अपनी दोनों पिंडलियाँ खोल दीं। सुलैमान अलैहिस्सलाम ने कहा : यह एक चिकना कांच का भवन है। फिर उसे इस्लाम की ओर आमंत्रित किया। और उसने उनके आमंत्रण को स्वीकार कर लिया, यह कहते हुए : ऐ मेरे पालनहार! मैंने तेरे साथ तेरे अलावा की पूजा करके अपने ऊपर अत्याचार किया है और (अब) मैं सुलैमान अलैहिस्सलाम के साथ सभी प्राणियों के पालनहार अल्लाह की आज्ञाकारिणी हो गई। |
| Ayah 45 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَقَد أَرسَلنا إِلىٰ ثَمودَ أَخاهُم صالِحًا أَنِ اعبُدُوا اللَّهَ فَإِذا هُم فَريقانِ يَختَصِمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaqad arsalna ila thamooda akhahum salihan ani oAAbudoo Allaha faitha hum fareeqani yakhtasimoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laqad arsalnaaa ilaa Samoda akhaahum Saalihan ani'budul lahha fa izaa hum fareeqaani yakhtasimoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And We verily sent unto Thamud their brother Salih, saying: Worship Allah. And lo! they (then became two parties quarrelling. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | We sent (aforetime), to the Thamud, their brother Salih, saying, "Serve Allah": But behold, they became two factions quarrelling with each other. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We had certainly sent to Thamud their brother Salih, [saying], "Worship Allah," and at once they were two parties conflicting. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And I sent toThamud their brother in lineage Salih (peace be upon him) saying “Worship Allah alone”, but they became two groups after his calling them: a believing group and the other disbelieving, arguing over who is on the truth. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और समूद की ओर हमने उनके भाई सालेह को भेजा कि "अल्लाह की बन्दगी करो।" तो क्या देखते है कि वे दो गिरोह होकर आपस में झगड़ने लगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और अब मैं सुलेमान के साथ सारे जहाँ के पालने वाले खुदा पर ईमान लाती हूँ और हम ही ने क़ौम समूद के पास उनके भाई सालेह को पैग़म्बर बनाकर भेजा कि तुम लोग ख़ुदा की इबादत करो तो वह सालेह के आते ही (मोमिन व काफिर) दो फरीक़ बनकर बाहम झगड़ने लगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हमने समूद जाति की ओर उनके नसबी भाई सालेह अलैहिस्सलाम को भेजा कि तुम केवल एकमात्र अल्लाह की इबादत करो। परंतु उनके निमंत्रण के बाद वे दो समूह बन गए : एक ईमान लाने वाला समूह और दूसरा काफिर समूह, वे इस बात पर झगड़ने लगे कि उनमें से कौन सत्य पर है। |
| Ayah 46 |
| عَرَبِي | قالَ يا قَومِ لِمَ تَستَعجِلونَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ قَبلَ الحَسَنَةِ ۖ لَولا تَستَغفِرونَ اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُم تُرحَمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qala ya qawmi lima tastaAAjiloona bialssayyiati qabla alhasanati lawla tastaghfiroona Allaha laAAallakum turhamoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qaala yaa qawmi lima tasta'jiloona bissaiyi'ati qablal hasanati law laa tas taghfiroonal laaha la'allakum turhamoon |
| English (Pickthall) | He said: O my people! Why will ye hasten on the evil rather than the good? Why will ye not ask pardon of Allah, that ye may receive mercy. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | He said: "O my people! why ask ye to hasten on the evil in preference to the good? If only ye ask Allah for forgiveness, ye may hope to receive mercy. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | He said, "O my people, why are you impatient for evil instead of good? Why do you not seek forgiveness of Allah that you may receive mercy?" |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Salih (peace be upon him) said: “why do you seek to hasten the punishment instead of seeking Allah's mercy? Why do you not seek forgiveness from Allah for your sins, in the hope that he will forgive you?” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उसने कहा, "ऐ मेरी क़ौम के लोगों, तुम भलाई से पहले बुराई के लिए क्यों जल्दी मचा रहे हो? तुम अल्लाह से क्षमा याचना क्यों नहीं करते? कदाचित तुमपर दया की जाए।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | सालेह ने कहा ऐ मेरी क़ौम (आख़िर) तुम लोग भलाई से पहल बुराई के वास्ते जल्दी क्यों कर रहे हो तुम लोग ख़ुदा की बारगाह में तौबा व अस्तग़फार क्यों नही करते ताकि तुम पर रहम किया जाए |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | सालेह अलैहिस्सलाम ने उनसे कहा : तुम रहमत से पहले अज़ाब को क्यों जल्दी माँगते हो? तुम अपने पापों के लिए अल्लाह से क्षमा क्यों नहीं माँगते, इस आशा में कि वह तुमपर दया करे। |
| Ayah 47 |
| عَرَبِي | قالُوا اطَّيَّرنا بِكَ وَبِمَن مَعَكَ ۚ قالَ طائِرُكُم عِندَ اللَّهِ ۖ بَل أَنتُم قَومٌ تُفتَنونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qaloo ittayyarna bika wabiman maAAaka qala tairukum AAinda Allahi bal antum qawmun tuftanoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qaalut taiyarnaa bika wa bimam ma'ak; qaala taaa'irukum 'indal laahi bal antum qawmun tuftanoon |
| English (Pickthall) | They said: We augur evil of thee and those with thee. He said: Your evil augury is with Allah. Nay, but ye are folk that are being tested. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They said: "Ill omen do we augur from thee and those that are with thee". He said: "Your ill omen is with Allah; yea, ye are a people under trial." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | They said, "We consider you a bad omen, you and those with you." He said, "Your omen is with Allah. Rather, you are a people being tested." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | His people said to him, in stubbornness from the truth: “I consider you and the believers with you a bad omen”. Salih (peace be upon him) said: “The birds that you drive away due to the difficulties that which has afflicted you from what you dislike and you attribute as a bad omen is actually decreed from Allah and He has knowledge of that. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उन्होंने कहा, "हमने तुम्हें और तुम्हारे साथवालों को अपशकुन पाया है।" उसने कहा, "तुम्हारा शकुन-अपशकुन तो अल्लाह के पास है, बल्कि बात यह है कि तुम लोग आज़माए जा रहे हो।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | वह लोग बोले हमने तो तुम से और तुम्हारे साथियों से बुरा शगुन पाया सालेह ने कहा तुम्हारी बदकिस्मती ख़ुदा के पास है (ये सब कुछ नहीं) बल्कि तुम लोगों की आज़माइश की जा रही है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उनके समुदाय ने सत्य से हठधर्म दिखाते हुए उनसे कहा : हम तुमसे तथा तुम्हारे साथ जो मोमिन हैं उनसे अपशकुन लेते हैं। सालेह अलैहिस्सलाम ने उनसे कहा : तुम अपने ऊपर आने वाली कठिनाइयों के कारण पक्षियों को उड़ाकर जो अपशकुन लेते हो, अल्लाह के पास उसका ज्ञान है, उसमें से कुछ भी उससे छिपा नहीं है। बल्कि तुम्हें जो बड़ी मात्रा में भलाई प्रदान की जा रही है तथा तुम जो बुराइयों से ग्रस्त होते हो, उनके द्वारा तुम आज़माए जा रहे हो। |
| Ayah 48 |
| عَرَبِي | وَكانَ فِي المَدينَةِ تِسعَةُ رَهطٍ يُفسِدونَ فِي الأَرضِ وَلا يُصلِحونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wakana fee almadeenati tisAAatu rahtin yufsidoona fee alardi wala yuslihoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa kaana fil madeenati tis'atu rahtiny yufsidoona fil ardi wa laa yuslihoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And there were in the city nine persons who made mischief in the land and reformed not. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | There were in the city nine men of a family, who made mischief in the land, and would not reform. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And there were in the city nine family heads causing corruption in the land and not amending [its affairs]. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And in the city of Hijr there were nine men who would cause corruption on earth through disbelief and sins, and they would not reform in it through faith and good actions. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और "हिज्र" शहर में नौ आदमी थे, जो कुफ़्र और पापों के द्वारा धरती में बिगाड़ पैदा करते थे, तथा ईमान और अच्छे कर्मों के द्वारा उसमें सुधार नहीं करते थे। |

| عَرَبِي | قالوا تَقاسَموا بِاللَّهِ لَنُبَيِّتَنَّهُ وَأَهلَهُ ثُمَّ لَنَقولَنَّ لِوَلِيِّهِ ما شَهِدنا مَهلِكَ أَهلِهِ وَإِنّا لَصادِقونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qaloo taqasamoo biAllahi lanubayyitannahu waahlahu thumma lanaqoolanna liwaliyyihi ma shahidna mahlika ahlihi wainna lasadiqoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qaaloo taqaasamoo billaahi lanubaiyitannahoo wa ahlahoo summaa lanaqoolana liwaliy yihee maa shahidnaa mahlika ahliee wa innaa lasaadiqoon |
| English (Pickthall) | They said: Swear one to another by Allah that we verily will attack him and his household by night, and afterward we will surely say unto his friend: We witnessed not the destruction of his household. And lo! we are truthtellers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They said: "Swear a mutual oath by Allah that we shall make a secret night attack on him and his people, and that we shall then say to his heir (when he seeks vengeance): 'We were not present at the slaughter of his people, and we are positively telling the truth.'" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | They said, "Take a mutual oath by Allah that we will kill him by night, he and his family. Then we will say to his executor, 'We did not witness the destruction of his family, and indeed, we are truthful.' " |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They said to one another: “Each one of you should swear by Allah that we will go to him and the believers with him at night, then we will kill them and then say to the one responsible for avenging his blood: ‘We were not present at the murder of Salih or the murder of his followers, and we are truthful in what we have said’”. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वे आपस में अल्लाह की क़समें खाकर बोले, "हम अवश्य उसपर और उसके घरवालों पर रात को छापा मारेंगे। फिर उसके वली (परिजन) से कह देंगे कि हम उसके घरवालों के विनाश के अवसर पर मौजूद न थे। और हम बिलकुल सच्चे है।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | कि हम लोग सालेह और उसके लड़के बालो पर शब खून करे उसके बाद उसके वाली वारिस से कह देगें कि हम लोग उनके घर वालों को हलाक़ होते वक्त मौजूद ही न थे और हम लोग तो यक़ीनन सच्चे हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उन्होंने एक-दूसरे से कहा : हममें से प्रत्येक व्यक्ति अल्लाह की क़सम खाए कि हम अवश्य ही रात में उसके घर पर हमला करेंगे, फिर हम अवश्य ही उसे और उसके परिवार को क़त्ल कर देंगे। फिर हम अवश्य ही उसके खून के उत्तराधिकारी से कह देंगे : हम सालेह और उसके परिवार की हत्या के समय उपस्थित नहीं थे और हमने जो कहा, उसमें हम बिलकुल सच्चे हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | وَمَكَروا مَكرًا وَمَكَرنا مَكرًا وَهُم لا يَشعُرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wamakaroo makran wamakarna makran wahum la yashAAuroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa makaroo makranw wa makarnaa makranw wa hum laa yash'uroon |
| English (Pickthall) | So they plotted a plot: and We plotted a plot, while they perceived not. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They plotted and planned, but We too planned, even while they perceived it not. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And they planned a plan, and We planned a plan, while they perceived not. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And they secretly made a plan to destroy Salih and his followers amongst the believers, and I also made a plan to help him, save him from their plan and to destroy the disbelievers from his people, whilst they did not know that. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वे एक चाल चले और हमने भी एक चाल चली और उन्हें ख़बर तक न हुई |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और उन लोगों ने एक तदबीर की और हमने भी एक तदबीर की और (हमारी तदबीर की) उनको ख़बर भी न हुई |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और उन्होंने सालेह तथा उनके ईमान वाले अनुयायियों को नष्ट करने के लिए एक छिपी हुई साजिश रची, तथा हमने भी उनकी मदद करने, उन्हें उन लोगों की साज़िश से बचाने और उनकी जाति के काफ़िरों को नष्ट करने के लिए गुप्त उपाय किया, और वे इसके बारे में नहीं जानते थे। |
| Ayah 51 |
| عَرَبِي | فَانظُر كَيفَ كانَ عاقِبَةُ مَكرِهِم أَنّا دَمَّرناهُم وَقَومَهُم أَجمَعينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faonthur kayfa kana AAaqibatu makrihim anna dammarnahum waqawmahum ajmaAAeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fanzur kaifa kaana 'aaqibatu makrihim annaa dammar naahum wa qawmahum ajma'een |
| English (Pickthall) | Then see the nature of the consequence of their plotting, for lo! We destroyed them and their people, every one. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Then see what was the end of their plot!- this, that We destroyed them and their people, all (of them). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Then look how was the outcome of their plan - that We destroyed them and their people, all. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So contemplate, O Messenger, what was the outcome and end of their planning and scheming; did they achieve what they were intending? No. In fact, I totally uprooted them with a punishment from Myself so they were all destroyed. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अब देख लो, उनकी चाल का कैसा परिणाम हुआ! हमने उन्हें और उनकी क़ौम - सबको विनष्ट करके रख दिया |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो (ऐ रसूल) तुम देखो उनकी तदबीर का क्या (बुरा) अन्जाम हुआ कि हमने उनको और सारी क़ौम को हलाक कर डाला |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तो (ऐ रसूल!) आप ग़ौर कीजिए कि उनकी साज़िश और चाल का परिणाम कैसा रहा? हमने उन्हें अपनी ओर से यातना देकर सबको विनष्ट कर दिया। |
| Ayah 52 |
| عَرَبِي | فَتِلكَ بُيوتُهُم خاوِيَةً بِما ظَلَموا ۗ إِنَّ في ذٰلِكَ لَآيَةً لِقَومٍ يَعلَمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fatilka buyootuhum khawiyatan bima thalamoo inna fee thalika laayatan liqawmin yaAAlamoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fatilka buyootuhum khaa wiyatam bimaa zalamoo; inna fee zaalika la Aayatal liqaw miny-ya'lamoon |
| English (Pickthall) | See, yonder are their dwellings empty and in ruins because they did wrong. Lo! herein is indeed a portent for a people who have knowledge. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Now such were their houses, - in utter ruin, - because they practised wrong-doing. Verily in this is a Sign for people of knowledge. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So those are their houses, desolate because of the wrong they had done. Indeed in that is a sign for people who know. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So those are their homes whose walls have fallen on their roofs, and they have remained empty of inhabitants, due to their wrongdoing. In the punishment which has afflicted them due to their wrongdoing is a lesson for people who believe, as they are the ones who take lessons from the signs. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अब ये उनके घर उनके ज़ुल्म के कारण उजडें पड़े हुए है। निश्चय ही इसमें एक बड़ी निशानी है उन लोगों के लिए जो जानना चाहें |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ये बस उनके घर हैं कि उनकी नाफरमानियों की वज़ह से ख़ाली वीरान पड़े हैं इसमे शक नही कि उस वाक़िये में वाक़िफ कार लोगों के लिए बड़ी इबरत है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तो ये उनके घर हैं जिनकी दीवारें उनकी छतों समेत गिर गई हैं और अपने निवासियों से खाली हैं, ऐसा उनके अत्याचार के कारण हुआ है। इन लोगों को उनके अत्याचार के कारण जो यातना पहुँची है, उसमें उन लोगों के लिए निश्चय एक सबक़ है जो ईमान रखते हैं, क्योंकि वही लोग हैं जो निशानियों से सबक़ हासिल करते हैं। |
| Ayah 53 |
| عَرَبِي | وَأَنجَينَا الَّذينَ آمَنوا وَكانوا يَتَّقونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waanjayna allatheena amanoo wakanoo yattaqoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa anjainal lazeena aamanoo wa kaanoo yattaqoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And we saved those who believed and used to ward off (evil). |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And We saved those who believed and practised righteousness. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We saved those who believed and used to fear Allah. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And I saved those who believed from the people of Salih (peace be upon him), and they used to be mindful of Allah by carrying out His orders and refraining from His prohibitions. |

| عَرَبِي | وَلوطًا إِذ قالَ لِقَومِهِ أَتَأتونَ الفاحِشَةَ وَأَنتُم تُبصِرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walootan ith qala liqawmihi atatoona alfahishata waantum tubsiroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa lootan iz qaala liqawmiheee ataatoonal faa hishata wa antum qawmun tajjhaloon |
| English (Pickthall) | And Lot! when he said unto his folk: Will ye commit abomination knowingly? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | (We also sent) Lut (as a messenger): behold, He said to his people, "Do ye do what is shameful though ye see (its iniquity)? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [mention] Lot, when he said to his people, "Do you commit immorality while you are seeing? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger, remember Lot when he said to his people, reprimanding them and criticising them: “Do you come to the indecent act, which is sodomy in your meetings, openly watching one another? |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और लूत को भी भेजा, जब उसने अपनी क़ौम के लोगों से कहा, "क्या तुम आँखों देखते हुए अश्लील कर्म करते हो? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (ऐ रसूल) लूत को (याद करो) जब उन्होंने अपनी क़ौम से कहा कि क्या तुम देखभाल कर (समझ बूझ कर) ऐसी बेहयाई करते हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और (ऐ रसूल!) लूत अलैहिस्सलाम को याद करें, जब उन्होंने अपनी जाति से, उन्हें फटकार लगाते तथा उनकी निंदा करते हुए कहा : क्या तुम अपने क्लबों में खुले तौर पर घिनौना काम - लिवात - करते हो, जबकि तुम एक-दूसरे को देखते हो?! |

| عَرَبِي | أَئِنَّكُم لَتَأتونَ الرِّجالَ شَهوَةً مِن دونِ النِّساءِ ۚ بَل أَنتُم قَومٌ تَجهَلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ainnakum latatoona alrrijala shahwatan min dooni alnnisai bal antum qawmun tajhaloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | A'innakum lataatoonar rijaala shahwatam min doonin nisaaa'; bal antum qawmun tajhaloon |
| English (Pickthall) | Must ye needs lust after men instead of women? Nay, but ye are folk who act senselessly. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Would ye really approach men in your lusts rather than women? Nay, ye are a people (grossly) ignorant! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Do you indeed approach men with desire instead of women? Rather, you are a people behaving ignorantly." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Do you come to men lustfully, leaving the women, not intending chastity or children but only to fulfil animalistic lust? But rather you are a people ignorant of what is necessary upon you, namely faith, purity and staying far from sins”. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | क्या तुम औरतों को छोड़कर शहवत से मर्दों के आते हो (ये तुम अच्छा नहीं करते) बल्कि तुम लोग बड़ी जाहिल क़ौम हो तो लूत की क़ौम का इसके सिवा कुछ जवाब न था |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्या वाक़ई तुम औरतों को छोड़कर कामवासना की पूर्ति के लिए मर्दों के पास जाते हो! तुम शुद्धता या संतान नहीं चाहते, केवल एक पशु वासना की पूर्ति चाहते हो।बल्कि, तुम ऐसे लोग हो जिन्हें अपने ऊपर अनिवार्य ईमान, पवित्रता और पापों से दूरी का भी ज्ञान नहीं है। |
| Ayah 56 |
| عَرَبِي | ۞ فَما كانَ جَوابَ قَومِهِ إِلّا أَن قالوا أَخرِجوا آلَ لوطٍ مِن قَريَتِكُم ۖ إِنَّهُم أُناسٌ يَتَطَهَّرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fama kana jawaba qawmihi illa an qaloo akhrijoo ala lootin min qaryatikum innahum onasun yatatahharoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fammaa kaana jawaaba qawmiheee illaaa an qaalooo akrijoon aalaa Lootim min qaryatikum innahum unaasuny yatatahharoon |
| English (Pickthall) | But the answer of his folk was naught save that they said: Expel the household of Lot from your township, for they (forsooth) are folk who would keep clean! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But his people gave no other answer but this: they said, "Drive out the followers of Lut from your city: these are indeed men who want to be clean and pure!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But the answer of his people was not except that they said, "Expel the family of Lot from your city. Indeed, they are people who keep themselves pure." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | But his people did not have an answer besides their saying: “Remove the family of Lot from your city. They are a people who want to stay pure from dirt and impurity”. They said this to mock the family of Lot who would not join them in the immoral acts they used to commit, but rather they would condemn them for committing them. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उनकी जाति के पास इसके सिवा कोई उत्तर नहीं था कि उन्होंने कहा : लूत के परिवार को अपनी बस्ती से निकाल दो। ये ऐसे लोग हैं जो गंदगी और अशुद्धता से बड़े पवित्र बनते हैं। उन्होंने यह बात लूत के परिवार का मज़ाक उड़ाते हुए कही थी, जो उनके द्वारा किए जाने वाले घिनौने कामों में हिस्सा नहीं लेते थे, बल्कि उन्हें करने पर उनकी निंदा करते थे। |
| Ayah 57 |
| عَرَبِي | فَأَنجَيناهُ وَأَهلَهُ إِلَّا امرَأَتَهُ قَدَّرناها مِنَ الغابِرينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faanjaynahu waahlahu illa imraatahu qaddarnaha mina alghabireena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa anjainaahu wa ahlahooo illam ra atahoo qaddarnaahaa minal ghaabireen |
| English (Pickthall) | Then We saved him and his household save his wife; We destined her to be of those who stayed behind. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But We saved him and his family, except his wife; her We destined to be of those who lagged behind. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So We saved him and his family, except for his wife; We destined her to be of those who remained behind. |

| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अन्ततः हमने उसे और उसके घरवालों को बचा लिया सिवाय उसकी स्त्री के। उसके लिए हमने नियत कर दिया था कि वह पीछे रह जानेवालों में से होगी |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ग़रज हमने लूत को और उनके ख़ानदान को बचा लिया मगर उनकी बीवी कि हमने उसकी तक़दीर में पीछे रह जाने वालों में लिख दिया था |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अतः हमने उन्हें और उनके घर वालों को बचा लिया, केवल उनकी पत्नी को छोड़कर। हमने उसके बारे में यह फैसला कर दिया था कि वह यातना में बाक़ी रहने वालों में से होगी, ताकि वह हलाक होने वालों में से हो जाए। |
| Ayah 58 |
| عَرَبِي | وَأَمطَرنا عَلَيهِم مَطَرًا ۖ فَساءَ مَطَرُ المُنذَرينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waamtarna AAalayhim mataran fasaa mataru almunthareena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa amtarnaa 'alaihimm mataran fasaaa'a matarul munzareen |
| English (Pickthall) | And We rained a rain upon them. Dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And We rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): and evil was the shower on those who were admonished (but heeded not)! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And I rained stones of baked clay on the people of Lot. Dreadful is the rain of those who have been warned such as the people of Lot who did not respond to him, and in fact remained on their disbelief, misguidance and committing immorality. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हमने उनपर आसमान से पत्थर बरसाए, तो यह उन लोगों के लिए बहुत बुरी और विनाशकारी बारिश थी, जो यातना से डराए गए थे, परंतु वे नहीं माने। |

| عَرَبِي | قُلِ الحَمدُ لِلَّهِ وَسَلامٌ عَلىٰ عِبادِهِ الَّذينَ اصطَفىٰ ۗ آللَّهُ خَيرٌ أَمّا يُشرِكونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Quli alhamdu lillahi wasalamun AAala AAibadihi allatheena istafa allahu khayrun amma yushrikoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qulil hamdu lillaahi wa salaamun 'alaa 'ibaadihil lazeenas tafaa; aaallaahu khairun ammmaa yushrikoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Say (O Muhammad): Praise be to Allah, and peace be on His slaves whom He hath chosen! Is Allah best, or (all) that ye ascribe as partners (unto Him)? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Say: Praise be to Allah, and Peace on his servants whom He has chosen (for his Message). (Who) is better?- Allah or the false gods they associate (with Him)? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Say, [O Muhammad], "Praise be to Allah, and peace upon His servants whom He has chosen. Is Allah better or what they associate with Him?" |

Is Allah, the true god in whose Hand is the kingdom of everything, better or the gods which the idolaters worship, which do not possess benefit or harm? |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल!) आप कह दें : सारी प्रशंसा अल्लाह के लिए है उसकी नेमतों पर, तथा उसकी ओर से नबी सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम के सहाबा के लिए उसकी उस यातना से सुरक्षा (हिफ़ाज़त) है, जिसके साथ लूत और सालेह (अलैहिमस्सलाम) की जाति के लोग दंडित किए गए। क्या सत्य पूज्य अल्लाह जिसके हाथ में हर चीज़ का राज्य है, बेहतर है अथवा बहुदेववादियों द्वारा पूजे जाने वाले देवता, जो किसी लाभ और हानि के मालिक नहीं हैं?! |

| عَرَبِي | أَمَّن خَلَقَ السَّماواتِ وَالأَرضَ وَأَنزَلَ لَكُم مِنَ السَّماءِ ماءً فَأَنبَتنا بِهِ حَدائِقَ ذاتَ بَهجَةٍ ما كانَ لَكُم أَن تُنبِتوا شَجَرَها ۗ أَإِلٰهٌ مَعَ اللَّهِ ۚ بَل هُم قَومٌ يَعدِلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Amman khalaqa alssamawati waalarda waanzala lakum mina alssamai maan faanbatna bihi hadaiqa thata bahjatin ma kana lakum an tunbitoo shajaraha ailahun maAAa Allahi bal hum qawmun yaAAdiloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Amman khalaqas samaawaati wal arda wa anzala lakum minas samaaa'i maaa'an fa ambatnaa bihee hadaaa'iqa zaata bahjjah; maa kanna lakum an tumbitoo shajarahaa; 'a-ilaahum ma'al laah; bal hum qawmuny ya'diloon |
| English (Pickthall) | Is not He (best) Who created the heavens and the earth, and sendeth down for you water from the sky wherewith We cause to spring forth joyous orchards, whose trees it never hath been yours to cause to grow. Is there any Allah beside Allah? Nay, but they are folk who ascribe equals (unto Him)! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Or, Who has created the heavens and the earth, and Who sends you down rain from the sky? Yea, with it We cause to grow well-planted orchards full of beauty of delight: it is not in your power to cause the growth of the trees in them. (Can there be another) god besides Allah? It was not for you to grow the trees of these gardens, due to your being unable to do that. So it is Allah who grew them. Is there any true god alongside Allah? No, but rather they are a people who turn away from the truth, so they unjustly make the creation equal with the Creator. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | (तुम्हारे पूज्य अच्छे है) या वह जिसने आकाशों और धरती को पैदा किया और तुम्हारे लिए आकाश से पानी बरसाया; उसके द्वारा हमने रमणीय उद्यान उगाए? तुम्हारे लिए सम्भव न था कि तुम उनके वृक्षों को उगाते। - क्या अल्लाह के साथ कोई और प्रभु-पूज्य है? नहीं, बल्कि वही लोग मार्ग से हटकर चले जा रहे है! |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | भला वह कौन है जिसने आसमान और ज़मीन को पैदा किया और तुम्हारे वास्ते आसमान से पानी बरसाया फिर हम ही ने पानी से दिल चस्प (ख़ुशनुमा) बाग़ उठाए तुम्हारे तो ये बस की बात न थी कि तुम उनके दरख्तों को उगा सकते तो क्या ख़ुदा के साथ कोई और माबूद भी है (हरगिज़ नहीं) बल्कि ये लोग खुद अपने जी से गढ़ के बुतो को उसके बराबर बनाते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अथवा वह (बेहतर) है, जिसने बिना किसी पूर्व नमूने के आकाशों एवं धरती को पैदा किया तथा उसने (ऐ लोगो!) तुम्हारे लिए आकाश से बारिश का पानी उतारा, फिर हमने उससे सुंदर और भव्य बगीचे उगाए। तुम्हारे लिए संभव नहीं था कि तुम उन बागों के पेड़ों को उगाते, क्योंकि तुम ऐसा करने में अक्षम थे। अतः अल्लाह ही है जिसने उन्हें उगाया। क्या किसी अन्य पूज्य ने अल्लाह के साथ यह सब काम किया है?! नहीं! बल्कि वे ऐसे लोग हैं जो सत्य से भटक जाते हैं, इसलिए अन्यायपूर्ण रूप से सृष्टिकर्ता को सृष्टि के बराबर कर देते हैं। |
| Ayah 61 |
| عَرَبِي | أَمَّن جَعَلَ الأَرضَ قَرارًا وَجَعَلَ خِلالَها أَنهارًا وَجَعَلَ لَها رَواسِيَ وَجَعَلَ بَينَ البَحرَينِ حاجِزًا ۗ أَإِلٰهٌ مَعَ اللَّهِ ۚ بَل أَكثَرُهُم لا يَعلَمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Amman jaAAala alarda qararan wajaAAala khilalaha anharan wajaAAala laha rawasiya wajaAAala bayna albahrayni hajizan ailahun maAAa Allahi bal aktharuhum la yaAAlamoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ammann ja'alal arda qaraaranw wa ja'ala khilaalahaaa anhaaranw wa ja'ala lahaa rawaasiya wa ja'ala bainal bahraini haajizaa; 'a-ilaahumma'allah; bal aksaruhum la ya'lamoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Is not He (best) Who made the earth a fixed abode, and placed rivers in the folds thereof, and placed firm hills therein, and hath set a barrier between the two seas? Is there any Allah beside Allah? Nay, but most of them know not! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Or, Who has made the earth firm to live in; made rivers in its midst; set thereon mountains immovable; and made a separating bar between the two bodies of flowing water? (can there be another) god besides Allah? Nay, most of them know not. |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | Is He not best who made the earth firm and still, without it shaking those on it, and made within it rivers that flow, and made for it firm mountains, and made between two seas, salty and sweet, a barrier which stops the salty mixing with the sweet so that it does not spoil it and then making it unsuitable for drinking? Is there a true god alongside Allah who can make all that happen? No, but most of them do not know. Had they known, they would not have associated any of Allah’s creation with Him as a partner. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | या वह जिसने धरती को ठहरने का स्थान बनाया और उसके बीच-बीच में नदियाँ बहाई और उसके लिए मज़बूत पहाड़ बनाए और दो समुद्रों के बीच एक रोक लगा दी। क्या अल्लाह के साथ कोई और प्रभु पूज्य है? नहीं, उनमें से अधिकतर लोग जानते ही नही! |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | भला वह कौन है जिसने ज़मीन को (लोगों के) ठहरने की जगह बनाया और उसके दरमियान जा बजा नहरें दौड़ायी और उसकी मज़बूती के वास्ते पहाड़ बनाए और (मीठे खारी) दरियाओं के दरमियान हदे फासिल बनाया तो क्या ख़ुदा के साथ कोई और माबूद भी है (हरगिज़ नहीं) बल्कि उनमें के अकसर कुछ जानते ही नहीं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अथवा वह (बेहतर) है, जिसने धरती को स्थिर बनाया, जो अपने ऊपर मौजूद चीज़ों के साथ हिलती-डुलती नहीं है, तथा उसके भीतर बहने वाली नदियों को बनाया और उसके लिए स्थिर पर्वत बनाए, तथा दो समुद्रों : खारे और मीठे के बीच एक विभाजक बनाया, जो खारे पानी को मीठे पानी के साथ मिलने से रोकता है ताकि उसका स्वाद ख़राब न हो और वह पीने के लिए उपयुक्त न रह जाए। क्या किसी (अन्य) पूज्य ने अल्लाह के साथ यह सारा काम किया है?! कदापि नहीं, बल्कि उनके अधिकांश लोग (अल्लाह की महानता को) नहीं जानते। यदि वे जानते होते तो अल्लाह की किसी सृष्टि को कभी उसका साझी नहीं बनाते। |
| Ayah 62 |
| عَرَبِي | أَمَّن يُجيبُ المُضطَرَّ إِذا دَعاهُ وَيَكشِفُ السّوءَ وَيَجعَلُكُم خُلَفاءَ الأَرضِ ۗ أَإِلٰهٌ مَعَ اللَّهِ ۚ قَليلًا ما تَذَكَّرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Amman yujeebu almudtarra itha daAAahu wayakshifu alssooa wayajAAalukum khulafaa alardi ailahun maAAa Allahi qaleelan ma tathakkaroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ammany-yujeebul mud tarra izaa da'aahu wa yakshifussooo'a wa yaj'alukum khula faaa'al ardi 'a-ilaahum ma'al laahi qaleelam maa tazak karoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Is not He (best) Who answereth the wronged one when he crieth unto Him and removeth the evil, and hath made you viceroys of the earth? Is there any Allah beside Allah? Little do they reflect! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Or, Who listens to the (soul) distressed when it calls on Him, and Who relieves its suffering, and makes you (mankind) inheritors of the earth? (Can there be another) god besides Allah? Little it is that ye heed! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Is He [not best] who responds to the desperate one when he calls upon Him and removes evil and makes you inheritors of the earth? Is there a deity with Allah? Little do you remember. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | भला वह कौन है कि जब मुज़तर उसे पुकारे तो दुआ क़ुबूल करता है और मुसीबत को दूर करता है और तुम लोगों को ज़मीन में (अपना) नायब बनाता है तो क्या ख़ुदा के साथ कोई और माबूद है (हरगिज़ नहीं) उस पर भी तुम लोग बहुत कम नसीहत व इबरत हासिल करते हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अथवा वह (बेहतर) है कि जब कोई कष्ट में पड़ा हुआ व्याकुल व्यक्ति उसे पुकारता है, तो उसकी पुकार सुनता है, तथा इनसान जब रोग और निर्धनता का शिकार होता है, तो उसे इनसे मुक्ति प्रदान करता है, और तुम्हें धरती में उत्तराधिकारी बनाता है, तुम पीढ़ी दर पीढ़ी एक-दूसरे के उत्तराधिकारी बनते हो। क्या कोई (अन्य) पूज्य है जो अल्लाह के साथ यह सारा काम करता है?! कदापि नहीं, तुम बहुत कम उपदेश और सीख ग्रहण करते हो। |
| Ayah 63 |
| عَرَبِي | أَمَّن يَهديكُم في ظُلُماتِ البَرِّ وَالبَحرِ وَمَن يُرسِلُ الرِّياحَ بُشرًا بَينَ يَدَي رَحمَتِهِ ۗ أَإِلٰهٌ مَعَ اللَّهِ ۚ تَعالَى اللَّهُ عَمّا يُشرِكونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Amman yahdeekum fee thulumati albarri waalbahri waman yursilu alrriyaha bushran bayna yaday rahmatihi ailahun maAAa Allahi taAAala Allahu AAamma yushrikoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ammany-yahdeekum fee zulumaatil barri wal bahri wa many yursilu riyaaha bushram baina yadai rahmatih; 'a-ilaahum ma'al laah; Ta'aalal laahu 'ammaa yushrikoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Is not He (best) Who guideth you in the darkness of the land and the sea, He Who sendeth the winds as heralds of His mercy? Is there any Allah beside Allah? High Exalted be Allah from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Or, Who guides you through the depths of darkness on land and sea, and Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His Mercy? (Can there be another) god besides Allah?- High is Allah above what they associate with Him! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Is He [not best] who guides you through the darknesses of the land and sea and who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy? Is there a deity with Allah? High is Allah above whatever they associate with Him. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Is He not best who guides you in the darkness of the land and the darkness of the sea through the signs and stars He fixes for you, and who sends winds to give good news of close rainfall through which He will have mercy on His servants? Is there a true god alongside Allah who makes all that happen and decrees it? Allah is purified and far removed from the partners the creation associate with Him |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | या वह जो थल और जल के अँधेरों में तुम्हारा मार्गदर्शन करता है और जो अपनी दयालुता के आगे हवाओं को शुभ-सूचना बनाकर भेजता है? क्या अल्लाह के साथ कोई और प्रभु पूज्य है? उच्च है अल्लाह, उस शिर्क से जो वे करते है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | भला वह कौन है जो तुम लोगों की ख़़ुश्की और तरी की तारिक़ियों में राह दिखाता है और कौन उसकी बाराने रहमत के आगे आगे (बारिश की) ख़ुशखबरी लेकर हवाओं को भेजता है-क्या ख़ुदा के साथ कोई और माबूद भी है (हरगिज़ नहीं) ये लोग जिन चीज़ों को ख़ुदा का शरीक ठहराते हैं ख़ुदा उससे बालातर है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अथवा वह (बेहतर) है, जो थल एवं जल के अँधेरों में विभिन्न स्थलचिह्नों एवं नक्षत्रों द्वारा तुम्हें मार्गदर्शन प्रदान करता है। तथा जो हवाओं को उस वर्षा से पूर्व शुभ सूचना बनाकर भेजता है, जिसके द्वारा वह अपने बंदों पर दया करता है। क्या कोई (अन्य) पूज्य है, जो अल्लाह के साथ यह सारा काम करता है?! अल्लाह उनके उसकी सृष्टियों को उसका साझी बनाने से पाक है। |
| Ayah 64 |
| عَرَبِي | أَمَّن يَبدَأُ الخَلقَ ثُمَّ يُعيدُهُ وَمَن يَرزُقُكُم مِنَ السَّماءِ وَالأَرضِ ۗ أَإِلٰهٌ مَعَ اللَّهِ ۚ قُل هاتوا بُرهانَكُم إِن كُنتُم صادِقينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Amman yabdao alkhalqa thumma yuAAeeduhu waman yarzuqukum mina alssamai waalardi ailahun maAAa Allahi qul hatoo burhanakum in kuntum sadiqeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ammmany-yabda'ul khalqa summa yu'eeduhoo wa many-yarzuqukum minas sammaaa'i wal ard; 'a-ilaahum ma'allah; qul haatoo burhaanakum in kuntum saadiqeen |
| English (Pickthall) | Is not He (best) Who produceth creation, then reproduceth it, and Who provideth for you from the heaven and the earth? Is there any Allah beside Allah? Say: Bring your proof, if ye are truthful! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Or, Who originates creation, then repeats it, and who gives you sustenance from heaven and earth? (Can there be another) god besides Allah? Say, "Bring forth your argument, if ye are telling the truth!" |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | Is He not best who begins the creation in the wombs, stage after stage, then He will restore it after He gives it death, and who provides you from the sky with water that descends from its direction, and who provides you from the earth with plants He makes grow therein? Is there a true god alongside Allah who makes all that happen and decrees it? Say - O Messenger, to these idolaters: “Bring your proofs for the idolatry you are on, if you are true in your claim that you are on the truth”. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | या वह जो सृष्टि का आरम्भ करता है, फिर उसकी पुनरावृत्ति भी करता है, और जो तुमको आकाश और धरती से रोज़ी देता है? क्या अल्लाह के साथ कोई और प्रभ पूज्य है? कहो, "लाओ अपना प्रमाण, यदि तुम सच्चे हो।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | भला वह कौन हैं जो ख़िलकत को नए सिरे से पैदा करता है फिर उसे दोबारा (मरने के बाद) पैदा करेगा और कौन है जो तुम लोगों को आसमान व ज़मीन से रिज़क़ देता है- तो क्या ख़ुदा के साथ कोई और माबूद भी है (हरग़िज़ नहीं) (ऐ रसूल) तुम (इन मुशरेकीन से) कहा दो कि अगर तुम सच्चे हो तो अपनी दलील पेश करो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अथवा वह (बेहतर) है, जो गर्भ के अंदर चरण दर चरण सृष्टि की शुरुआत करता है, फिर उसे मृत्यु देने के बाद पुनः जीवित करेगा। और जो तुम्हें आकाश से उसकी ओर से उतरने वाली वर्षा के द्वारा जीविका प्रदान करता है, तथा तुम्हें धरती से उसमें पौधे उगाकर जीविका देता है? क्या कोई (अन्य) पूज्य है, जो अल्लाह के साथ यह सब करता है?! (ऐ रसूल!) आप इन मुश्रिकों से कह दें : तुम जिस शिर्क पर क़ायम हो, उसपर अपने प्रमाण प्रस्तुत करो, यदि तुम अपने इस दावे में सच्चे हो कि तुम सत्य पर हो? |
| Ayah 65 |
| عَرَبِي | قُل لا يَعلَمُ مَن فِي السَّماواتِ وَالأَرضِ الغَيبَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ۚ وَما يَشعُرونَ أَيّانَ يُبعَثونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qul la yaAAlamu man fee alssamawati waalardi alghayba illa Allahu wama yashAAuroona ayyana yubAAathoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qul laa ya'lamu mman fis sammaawaati wal ardil ghaiba illal laah; wa maa yash'uroona aiyaana yub'asoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Say (O Muhammad): None in the heavens and the earth knoweth the Unseen save Allah; and they know not when they will be raised (again). |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Say: None in the heavens or on earth, except Allah, knows what is hidden: nor can they perceive when they shall be raised up (for Judgment). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Say, "None in the heavens and earth knows the unseen except Allah, and they do not perceive when they will be resurrected." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger, say: The Ghaib is not known by the angels in the heavens or the people on earth. However Allah alone is the one who knows it. And nobody in the heavens or the earth knows when they will be raised for recompense besides Allah. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | कहो, "आकाशों और धरती में जो भी है, अल्लाह के सिवा किसी को भी परोक्ष का ज्ञान नहीं है। और न उन्हें इसकी चेतना प्राप्त है कि वे कब उठाए जाएँगे।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (ऐ रसूल इन से) कह दो कि जितने लोग आसमान व ज़मीन में हैं उनमे से कोई भी गैब की बात के सिवा नहीं जानता और वह भी तो नहीं समझते कि क़ब्र से दोबारा कब ज़िन्दा उठ खडे क़िए जाएँगें |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल!) आप कह दें कि आकाशों में मौजूद फ़रिश्ते और धरती में मौजूद इनसान ग़ैब (परोक्ष) को नहीं जानते। बल्कि एकमात्र अल्लाह ही उसे जानता है। तथा अल्लाह के सिवा आकाशों एवं धरती में मौजूद सभी प्राणी यह नहीं जानते कि वे बदले के लिए कब पुनः जीवित किए जाएँगे। |
| Ayah 66 |
| عَرَبِي | بَلِ ادّارَكَ عِلمُهُم فِي الآخِرَةِ ۚ بَل هُم في شَكٍّ مِنها ۖ بَل هُم مِنها عَمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Bali iddaraka AAilmuhum fee alakhirati bal hum fee shakkin minha bal hum minha AAamoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Balid daaraka 'ilmuhum fil Aakhirah; bal hum fee shakkim minhaa bal hum minhaa 'amoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Nay, but doth their knowledge reach to the Hereafter? Nay, for they are in doubt concerning it. Nay, for they cannot see it. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Still less can their knowledge comprehend the Hereafter: Nay, they are in doubt and uncertainty thereanent; nay, they are blind thereunto! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Rather, their knowledge is arrested concerning the Hereafter. Rather, they are in doubt about it. Rather, they are, concerning it, blind. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | But rather their knowledge in the afterlife will become complete, due to their seeing it with their own eyes after the Messengers used to inform them of it when it was unseen, but they used to deny it because they had not seen it. And they were in doubt and confusion regarding the afterlife in their worldly life, for their eyes and hearts had become blind towards it. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | बल्कि आख़िरत के विषय में उनका ज्ञान पक्का हो गया है, बल्कि ये उसकी ओर से कुछ संदेह में है, बल्कि वे उससे अंधे है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | बल्कि (असल ये है कि) आख़िरत के बारे में उनके इल्म का ख़ात्मा हो गया है बल्कि उसकी तरफ से शक में पड़ें हैं बल्कि (सच ये है कि) इससे ये लोग अंधे बने हुए हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अथवा क्या निरंतर उन्हें आख़िरत के बारे में ज्ञान होता रहा, तो वे इसके बारे में निश्चित हैं? नहीं! बल्कि वे आख़िरत के बारे में संदेह और विस्मय के शिकार हैं। बल्कि, उनकी अंतर्दृष्टि उससे अंधी हो गई है। |
| Ayah 67 |
| عَرَبِي | وَقالَ الَّذينَ كَفَروا أَإِذا كُنّا تُرابًا وَآباؤُنا أَئِنّا لَمُخرَجونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waqala allatheena kafaroo aitha kunna turaban waabaona ainna lamukhrajoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa qaalal lazeena kafarooo 'a-izaa kunnaa turaabanw wa aabaaa'unaaa a'innaa lamukhrajoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Yet those who disbelieve say: When we have become dust like our fathers, shall we verily be brought forth (again)? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The Unbelievers say: "What! when we become dust,- we and our fathers,- shall we really be raised (from the dead)? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And those who disbelieve say, "When we have become dust as well as our forefathers, will we indeed be brought out [of the graves]? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who disbelieved said denyingly: “When we die and become dust, is it possible we will be raised alive? |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जिन लोगों ने इनकार किया वे कहते है कि "क्या जब हम मिट्टी हो जाएँगे और हमारे बाप-दादा भी, तो क्या वास्तव में हम (जीवित करके) निकाले जाएँगे? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और कुफ्फार कहने लगे कि क्या जब हम और हमारे बाप दादा (सड़ गल कर) मिट्टी हो जाएँगें तो क्या हम फिर निकाले जाएँगें |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा काफ़िरों ने इनकार करते हुए कहा : क्या जब हम (और हमारे बाप-दादा) मर जाएँगे और मिट्टी बन जाएँगे, तो क्या यह संभव है कि हमें पुनः जीवित किया जाएगा? |
| Ayah 68 |
| عَرَبِي | لَقَد وُعِدنا هٰذا نَحنُ وَآباؤُنا مِن قَبلُ إِن هٰذا إِلّا أَساطيرُ الأَوَّلينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Laqad wuAAidna hatha nahnu waabaona min qablu in hatha illa asateeru alawwaleena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Laqad wu'idnaa haazaa nahnu wa aabaaa'unaa min qablu in haazaaa illaaa asaateerul awwaleen |
| English (Pickthall) | We were promised this, forsooth, we and our fathers. (All) this is naught but fables of the men of old. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "It is true we were promised this,- we and our fathers before (us): these are nothing but tales of the ancients." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before. This is not but legends of the former peoples." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | We were promised and our fathers were promised before that we will all be raised, but we have not seen that promise come true. This promise we were all made is nothing but lies of the former people who recorded them in their books”. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | इसका वादा तो इससे पहले भी किया जा चुका है, हमसे भी और हमारे बाप-दादा से भी। ये तो बस पहले लोगो की कहानियाँ है।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | उसका तो पहले भी हम से और हमारे बाप दादाओं से वायदा किया गया था (कहाँ का उठना और कैसी क़यामत) ये तो हो न हो अगले लोगों के ढकोसले हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निश्चय हमसे वादा किया गया है और इससे पहले हमारे बाप-दादा पिता से भी वादा किया गया था कि हम सभी को पुनर्जीवित किया जाएगा, लेकिन हमने उस वादे की पूर्ति नहीं देखी। हम सब से किया गया यह वादा पहले लोगों की झूठी कथाएँ हैं, जो उन्होंने अपनी पुस्तकों में लिख रखी हैं। |
| Ayah 69 |
| عَرَبِي | قُل سيروا فِي الأَرضِ فَانظُروا كَيفَ كانَ عاقِبَةُ المُجرِمينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qul seeroo fee alardi faonthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu almujrimeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qul seeroo fil ardi fanzuroo kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul mujremeen |
| English (Pickthall) | Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Travel in the land and see the nature of the sequel for the guilty! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Say: "Go ye through the earth and see what has been the end of those guilty (of sin)." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! Say to these deniers of the resurrection: “Travel in any direction on earth, then ponder over what was the outcome of the evildoers who denied the resurrection; I destroyed them due to their denying it”. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | कहो कि "धरती में चलो-फिरो और देखो कि अपराधियों का कैसा परिणाम हुआ।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (ऐ रसूल) लोगों से कह दो कि रुए ज़मीन पर ज़रा चल फिर कर देखो तो गुनाहगारों का अन्जाम क्या हुआ |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल!) आप मरणोपरांत पुनः जीवित कर उठाए जाने का इनकार करने वालों से कह दें : धरती के किसी भी हिस्से में चलो-फिरो, फिर विचार करो कि पुनर्जीवन को झुठलाने वाले अपराधियों का परिणाम कैसा रहा? हमने इसका इनकार करने के कारण उन्हें नष्ट कर दिया। |
| Ayah 70 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلا تَحزَن عَلَيهِم وَلا تَكُن في ضَيقٍ مِمّا يَمكُرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wala tahzan AAalayhim wala takun fee dayqin mimma yamkuroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laa tahzan 'alaihim wa laa takun fee daiqim mimmaa yamkuroon |
| English (Pickthall) | And grieve thou not for them, nor be in distress because of what they plot (against thee). |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But grieve not over them, nor distress thyself because of their plots. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And grieve not over them or be in distress from what they conspire. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Do not grieve due to the idolaters turning away from your call nor should your bosom become tight or should you worry due to their scheming against you, for Allah is with you and He will help you against them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उनके प्रति शोकाकुल न हो और न उस चाल से दिल तंग हो, जो वे चल रहे है। |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (ऐ रसूल) तुम उनके हाल पर कुछ अफ़सोस न करो और जो चालें ये लोग (तुम्हारे ख़िलाफ) चल रहे हैं उससे तंग दिल न हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | इन मुश्रिकों के आपके बुलावे से मुँह फेरने के कारण आप शोक न करें, और उनकी साज़िशों से आपका दिल तंग न हो। क्योंकि अल्लाह उनके विरुद्ध आपकी सहायता करेगा। |
| Ayah 71 |
| عَرَبِي | وَيَقولونَ مَتىٰ هٰذَا الوَعدُ إِن كُنتُم صادِقينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wayaqooloona mata hatha alwaAAdu in kuntum sadiqeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa yaqooloona mataa haazal wa'du in kuntum saadiqeen |
| English (Pickthall) | And they say: When (will) this promise (be fulfilled), if ye are truthful? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They also say: "When will this promise (come to pass)? (Say) if ye are truthful." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And they say, "When is [the fulfillment of] this promise, if you should be truthful?" |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The disbelievers amongst your people who deny the resurrection say: “When will the punishment you and the believers promise us occur, if you are true in what you claim of that?” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वे कहते है, "यह वादा कब पूरा होगा, यदि तुम सच्चे हो?" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और ये (कुफ्फ़ार मुसलमानों से) पूछते हैं कि अगर तुम सच्चे हो तो (आख़िर) ये (क़यामत या अज़ाब का) वायदा कब पूरा होगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | आपके समुदाय के मरणोपरांत पुनः जीवित कर उठाए जाने का इनकार करने वाले काफ़िर कहते हैं : तुम और ईमान वाले जिस यातना का हमसे वादा करते हो, वह कब आएगी, यदि तुम उसमें सच्चे हो, जिसका तुम दावा करते हो? |
| Ayah 72 |
| عَرَبِي | قُل عَسىٰ أَن يَكونَ رَدِفَ لَكُم بَعضُ الَّذي تَستَعجِلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qul AAasa an yakoona radifa lakum baAAdu allathee tastaAAjiloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qul 'asaaa any-yakoona radifa lakum ba'dul lazee tasta'jiloon |
| English (Pickthall) | Say: It may be that a part of that which ye would hasten on is close behind you. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Say: "It may be that some of the events which ye wish to hasten on may be (close) in your pursuit!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Say, "Perhaps it is close behind you - some of that for which you are impatient. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger, say to them: “Perhaps some of the punishment you are hastily seeking has already come near”. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | कहो, "जिसकी तुम जल्दी मचा रहे हो बहुत सम्भव है कि उसका कोई हिस्सा तुम्हारे पीछे ही लगा हो।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (ऐ रसूल) तुम कह दो कि जिस (अज़ाब) की तुम लोग जल्दी मचा रहे हो क्या अजब है इसमे से कुछ करीब आ गया हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल!) आप उनसे कह दें : जिस यातना की तुम जल्दी मचा रहे हो, संभव है कि उसका कुछ हिस्सा तुम्हारे निकट आ गया हो। |
| Ayah 73 |
| عَرَبِي | وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَذو فَضلٍ عَلَى النّاسِ وَلٰكِنَّ أَكثَرَهُم لا يَشكُرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wainna rabbaka lathoo fadlin AAala alnnasi walakinna aktharahum la yashkuroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa innna Rabbaka lazoo fadlin 'alan naasi wa laakina aksarahum laa yashkuroon |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! thy Lord is full of bounty for mankind, but most of them do not give thanks. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But verily thy Lord is full of grace to mankind: Yet most of them are ungrateful. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And indeed, your Lord is full of bounty for the people, but most of them do not show gratitude." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And your Lord, O Messenger, is graceful towards the people, as He is leaving punishing them quickly despite the disbelief and sins they are upon. However, most people do not thank Allah for the favours He gives them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | निश्चय ही तुम्हारा रब तो लोगों पर उदार अनुग्रह करनेवाला है, किन्तु उनमें से अधिकतर लोग कृतज्ञता नहीं दिखाते |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और इसमें तो शक ही नहीं कि तुम्हारा परवरदिगार लोगों पर बड़ा फज़ल व करम करने वाला है मगर बहुतेरे लोग (उसका) शुक्र नहीं करते |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और निःसंदेह (ऐ रसूल!) आपका पालनहार लोगों पर अति दयावान है कि वह लोगों के कुफ़्र और पापों के बावजूद उन्हें यातना देने में जल्दी नहीं करता। लेकिन अधिकांश लोग अल्लाह की नेमतों का शुक्र अदा नहीं करते। |
| Ayah 74 |
| عَرَبِي | وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَيَعلَمُ ما تُكِنُّ صُدورُهُم وَما يُعلِنونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wainna rabbaka layaAAlamu ma tukinnu sudooruhum wama yuAAlinoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa inna Rabbaka la ya'lamu maa tukinnu sudooruhum wa maa yu'linoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! thy Lord knoweth surely all that their bosoms hide, and all that they proclaim. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And verily thy Lord knoweth all that their hearts do hide. As well as all that they reveal. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And indeed, your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they declare. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And your Lord knows what the hearts of His servants hide and what they make apparent. None of that is hidden from Him. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | निश्चय ही तुम्हारा रह भली-भाँति जानता है, जो कुछ उनके सीने छिपाए हुए है और जो कुछ वे प्रकट करते है। |

| عَرَبِي | وَما مِن غائِبَةٍ فِي السَّماءِ وَالأَرضِ إِلّا في كِتابٍ مُبينٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wama min ghaibatin fee alssamai waalardi illa fee kitabin mubeenin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa maa min ghaaa'ibatin fis samaaa'i wal ardi illaa fee kitaabimm mubeen |
| English (Pickthall) | And there is nothing hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a clear Record. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Nor is there aught of the unseen, in heaven or earth, but is (recorded) in a clear record. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And there is nothing concealed within the heaven and the earth except that it is in a clear Register. |

| Ayah 76 |
| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ هٰذَا القُرآنَ يَقُصُّ عَلىٰ بَني إِسرائيلَ أَكثَرَ الَّذي هُم فيهِ يَختَلِفونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna hatha alqurana yaqussu AAala banee israeela akthara allathee hum feehi yakhtalifoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Inna haazal Qur-aana yaqussu 'alaa Baneee israaa'eela aksaral lazee hum feehi yakhtalifoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! this Qur'an narrateth unto the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they differ. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Verily this Qur'an doth explain to the Children of Israel most of the matters in which they disagree. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, this Qur'an relates to the Children of Israel most of that over which they disagree. |

| عَرَبِي | وَإِنَّهُ لَهُدًى وَرَحمَةٌ لِلمُؤمِنينَ |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa innahoo lahudanw wa rahmatul lilmu'mineen |
| English (Pickthall) | And lo! it is a guidance and a mercy for believers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And it certainly is a Guide and a Mercy to those who believe. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And indeed, it is guidance and mercy for the believers. |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَقضي بَينَهُم بِحُكمِهِ ۚ وَهُوَ العَزيزُ العَليمُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna rabbaka yaqdee baynahum bihukmihi wahuwa alAAazeezu alAAaleemu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Inna Rabbaka yaqdee bainahum bihukmih; wa Huwal 'Azeezul 'Aleem |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! thy Lord will judge between them of His wisdom, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Verily thy Lord will decide between them by His Decree: and He is Exalted in Might, All-Knowing. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, your Lord will judge between them by His [wise] judgement. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger, your Lord will decide between the people, believers and disbelievers, on the day of judgment through His just judgment. He will have mercy on the believer and punish the disbeliever, and He is the Mighty who will take retribution from His enemies, with nobody to overpower Him, the Knowing to whom the truthful is not unclear from the liar. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निश्चय (ऐ रसूल!) आपका रब क़ियामत के दिन लोगों के बीच अर्थात् उनके ईमान वालों और उनके काफ़िरों के बीच अपने न्याय से फ़ैसला करेगा। अतः वह मोमिन पर दया करेगा और काफ़िर को यातना देगा। तथा वही सब पर प्रभुत्वशाली है जो अपने दुश्मनों से बदला लेता है और उसे कोई पराजित नहीं कर सकता, वह सब कुछ जानने वाला है, उसपर सत्यनिष्ठ और असत्यता का पालन करने वाले गड्डमड्ड नहीं हो सकते। |
| Ayah 79 |
| عَرَبِي | فَتَوَكَّل عَلَى اللَّهِ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَى الحَقِّ المُبينِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fatawakkal AAala Allahi innaka AAala alhaqqi almubeeni |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fatawakkal 'alal laahi innaka 'alal haqqil mubeen |
| English (Pickthall) | Therefor (O Muhammad) put thy trust in Allah, for thou (standest) on the plain Truth. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | So put thy trust in Allah: for thou art on (the path of) manifest Truth. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So rely upon Allah; indeed, you are upon the clear truth. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So trust in Allah, and rely on Him in all your affairs. You are on the clear truth. |

| Ayah 80 |
| عَرَبِي | إِنَّكَ لا تُسمِعُ المَوتىٰ وَلا تُسمِعُ الصُّمَّ الدُّعاءَ إِذا وَلَّوا مُدبِرينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Innaka la tusmiAAu almawta wala tusmiAAu alssumma aldduAAaa itha wallaw mudbireena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innaka laa tusmi'ul mawtaa wa laa tusmi'us summad du'aaa izaa wallaw mudbireen |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! thou canst not make the dead to hear, nor canst thou make the deaf to hear the call when they have turned to flee; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Truly thou canst not cause the dead to listen, nor canst thou cause the deaf to hear the call, (especially) when they turn back in retreat. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, you will not make the dead hear, nor will you make the deaf hear the call when they have turned their backs retreating. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger, you cannot make the dead whose hearts have died to their disbelief in Allah hear, nor can you make those who have lost their hearing hear what you are calling them towards when they return turning away from you. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | तुम मुर्दों को नहीं सुना सकते और न बहरों को अपनी पुकार सुना सकते हो, जबकि वे पीठ देकर फिरे भी जा रहें हो। |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | बेशक न तो तुम मुर्दों को (अपनी बात) सुना सकते हो और न बहरों को अपनी आवाज़ सुना सकते हो (ख़ासकर) जब वह पीठ फेर कर भाग ख़डें हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल!) आप उन मरे हुए लोगों को नहीं सुना सकते, जिनके दिल अल्लाह के इनकार के कारण मर चुके हैं। तथा जिनके कानों को अल्लाह ने सत्य सुनने से बहरा कर दिया है, आप उन्हें (भी) वह बात नहीं सुना सकते, जिसकी ओर आप उन्हें बुला रहे हैं, जबकि वे आपसे मुँह फेरकर पलट जाएँ। |
| Ayah 81 |
| عَرَبِي | وَما أَنتَ بِهادِي العُميِ عَن ضَلالَتِهِم ۖ إِن تُسمِعُ إِلّا مَن يُؤمِنُ بِآياتِنا فَهُم مُسلِمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wama anta bihadee alAAumyi AAan dalalatihim in tusmiAAu illa man yuminu biayatina fahum muslimoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa maaa anta bihaadil 'umyi 'an dalaalatihim in tusmi'u illaa mai yu'minu bi aayaatinaa fahum muslimoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Nor canst thou lead the blind out of their error. Thou canst make none to hear, save those who believe Our revelations and who have surrendered. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Nor canst thou be a guide to the blind, (to prevent them) from straying: only those wilt thou get to listen who believe in Our Signs, and they will bow in Islam. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And you cannot guide the blind away from their error. You will only make hear those who believe in Our verses so they are Muslims [submitting to Allah]. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And you are not one to guide those whose eyes are blind to the truth, so do not grieve over them and tire yourself. Only those will listen to your call who believe in our verses, because they submit to the orders of Allah. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और न तुम अंधों को उनकी गुमराही से हटाकर राह पर ला सकते हो। तुम तो बस उन्हीं को सुना सकते हो, जो हमारी आयतों पर ईमान लाना चाहें। अतः वही आज्ञाकारी होते है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और न तुम अंधें को उनकी गुमराही से राह पर ला सकते हो तुम तो बस उन्हीं लोगों को (अपनी बात) सुना सकते हो जो हमारी आयतों पर ईमान रखते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा आप उन्हें सत्य मार्ग नहीं दिखा सकते, जिनकी अंतर्दृष्टि सत्य से अंधी हो गई है। अतः आप उनके लिए शोक न करें और न अपने आप को थकाएँ। आप सत्य बात केवल उन्हीं को समझा सकते हैं, जो हमारी आयतों पर ईमान रखते हैं, सो वही अल्लाह के आदेशों का पालन करने वाले हैं। |
| Ayah 82 |
| عَرَبِي | ۞ وَإِذا وَقَعَ القَولُ عَلَيهِم أَخرَجنا لَهُم دابَّةً مِنَ الأَرضِ تُكَلِّمُهُم أَنَّ النّاسَ كانوا بِآياتِنا لا يوقِنونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waitha waqaAAa alqawlu AAalayhim akhrajna lahum dabbatan mina alardi tukallimuhum anna alnnasa kanoo biayatina la yooqinoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa izaa waqa'al qawhu 'alaihim akhrajnaa lahum daabbatam minal ardi tukal limuhum annan naasa kaanoo bi aayaatinaa laa yooqinoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And when the word is fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth to speak unto them because mankind had not faith in Our revelations. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And when the Word is fulfilled against them (the unjust), we shall produce from the earth a beast to (face) them: He will speak to them, for that mankind did not believe with assurance in Our Signs. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And when the word befalls them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them, [saying] that the people were, of Our verses, not certain [in faith]. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | When the punishment becomes binding and established for them, due to their disbelief and sins, and the worst of people remain, I shall take out for them near to the Final Hour one of its greatest signs, which is a creature from the earth which will speak to them with what they understand that the people did not believe My verses which were revealed to My Prophet. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और जब उनपर बात पूरी हो जाएगी, तो हम उनके लिए धरती का प्राणी सामने लाएँगे जो उनसे बातें करेगा कि "लोग हमारी आयतों पर विश्वास नहीं करते थे" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | फिर वही लोग तो मानने वाले भी हैं जब उन लोगों पर (क़यामत का) वायदा पूरा होगा तो हम उनके वास्ते ज़मीन से एक चलने वाला निकाल खड़ा करेंगे जो उनसे ये बाते करेंगा कि (फलॉ फला) लोग हमारी आयतो का यक़ीन नहीं रखते थे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जब उनके कुफ़्र एवं पापों पर अडिग रहने के कारण यातना उनपर साबित और आवश्यक हो जाएगी, तथा केवल बुरे लोग ही शेष रह जाएँगे, तो हम क़ियामत के निकट होने पर उनके लिए क़ियामत की बड़ी निशानियों में से एक निशानी निकालेंगे, और वह (निशानी) धरती का एक जानवर है, जो लोगों से इस तरह बात करेगा जो वे समझेंगे, कि लोग हमारे नबी पर उतरने वाली हमारी आयतों पर विश्वास नहीं करते थे। |
| Ayah 83 |
| عَرَبِي | وَيَومَ نَحشُرُ مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ فَوجًا مِمَّن يُكَذِّبُ بِآياتِنا فَهُم يوزَعونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wayawma nahshuru min kulli ommatin fawjan mimman yukaththibu biayatina fahum yoozaAAoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa Yawma nahshuru min kulli ummmatin fawjam mim many-yukazzibu bi Aayaatinaa fahum yooza'oon |
| English (Pickthall) | And (remind them of) the Day when We shall gather out of every nation a host of those who denied Our revelations, and they will be set in array; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | One day We shall gather together from every people a troop of those who reject our Signs, and they shall be kept in ranks,- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [warn of] the Day when We will gather from every nation a company of those who deny Our signs, and they will be [driven] in rows |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger, remember the day I shall gather from each of the nations a group from amongst them the leaders who used to disbelieve in our ayaat, so they can precede their followers to the fire...the first group will be held until the last group of leaders are gathered and then they will be led to the reckoning. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और जिस दिन हम प्रत्येक समुदाय में से एक गिरोह, ऐसे लोगों का जो हमारी आयतों को झुठलाते है, घेर लाएँगे। फिर उनकी दर्जाबन्दी की जाएगी |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (उस दिन को याद करो) जिस दिन हम हर उम्मत से एक ऐसे गिरोह को जो हमारी आयतों को झुठलाया करते थे (ज़िन्दा करके) जमा करेंगे फिर उन की टोलियाँ अलहदा अलहदा करेंगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा (ऐ रसूल!) उस दिन को याद कीजिए, जब हम प्रत्येक समुदाय से उनके प्रमुखों का एक समूह इकट्ठा करेंगे, उन लोगों में से जो हमारी आयतों को झुठलाया करते थे। उनमें से प्रथम व्यक्ति से लेकर अंतिम तक को प्रस्तुत किया जाएगा, फिर वे हिसाब-किताब की ओर हाँककर ले जाए जाएँगे। |
| Ayah 84 |
| عَرَبِي | حَتّىٰ إِذا جاءوا قالَ أَكَذَّبتُم بِآياتي وَلَم تُحيطوا بِها عِلمًا أَمّاذا كُنتُم تَعمَلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Hatta itha jaoo qala akaththabtum biayatee walam tuheetoo biha AAilman ammatha kuntum taAAmaloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Hattaaa izaa jaaa'oo qaala akazzabtum bi Aayaatee wa lam tuheetoo bihaa 'ilman ammaazaa kuntum ta'maloon |
| English (Pickthall) | Till, when they come (before their Lord), He will say: Did ye deny My revelations when ye could not compass them in knowledge, or what was it that ye did? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Until, when they come (before the Judgment-seat), (Allah) will say: "Did ye reject My Signs, though ye comprehended them not in knowledge, or what was it ye did?" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Until, when they arrive [at the place of Judgement], He will say, "Did you deny My signs while you encompassed them not in knowledge, or what [was it that] you were doing?" |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And their being led will continue until when they come to the place of their reckoning, Allah will say to them rebukingly: “Did you deny my signs which proved my Oneness and which comprised my sacred law, whilst you did not have proper knowledge to judge them to be false and disbelieve in them, or what was it that you were doing: believing or denying?” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | यहाँ तक कि जब वे आ जाएँगे तो वह कहेगा, "क्या तुमने मेरी आयतों को झुठलाया, हालाँकि अपने ज्ञान से तुम उनपर हावी न थे या फिर तुम क्या करते थे?" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | यहाँ तक कि जब वह सब (ख़ुदा के सामने) आएँगें और ख़ुदा उनसे कहेगा क्या तुम ने हमारी आयतों को बगैर अच्छी तरह समझे बूझे झुठलाया-भला तुम क्या क्या करते थे और चूँकि ये लोग ज़ुल्म किया करते थे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उनको हाँका जाता रहेगा, यहाँ तक कि जब वे अपने हिसाब-किताब के स्थान पर पहुँच जाएँगे, तो अल्लाह उनको फटकारते हुए कहेगा : क्या तुमने मेरी उन आयतों को झुठलाया था जो मेरे एकेश्वरवाद को दर्शाने वाली थीं और मेरी शरीयत को सम्मिलित थीं, जबकि तुम्हें उनके असत्य होने का पूर्ण ज्ञान नहीं था कि तुम्हारे लिए उनका झुठलाना उचित होता! या तुमने उनके साथ कौन-सा रवैया अपनाया था, पुष्टि करने का या झुठलाने का?! |
| Ayah 85 |
| عَرَبِي | وَوَقَعَ القَولُ عَلَيهِم بِما ظَلَموا فَهُم لا يَنطِقونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | WawaqaAAa alqawlu AAalayhim bima thalamoo fahum la yantiqoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa waqa'al qawlu 'alaihim bimaa zalamoo fahum laa yantiqoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And the Word will be fulfilled concerning them because they have done wrong, and they will not speak. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And the Word will be fulfilled against them, because of their wrong-doing, and they will be unable to speak (in plea). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And the decree will befall them for the wrong they did, and they will not [be able to] speak. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And the punishment will befall them due to their disbelieving in Allah and denying His ayahs. They will not speak to defend themselves due to their inability and the falsity of their proofs. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और बात उनपर पूरी होकर रहेगी, इसलिए कि उन्होंने ज़ुल्म किया। अतः वे कुछ बोल न सकेंगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | इन पर (अज़ाब का) वायदा पूरा हो गया फिर ये लोग कुछ बोल भी तो न सकेंगें |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अल्लाह के इनकार तथा उसकी आयतों को झुठलाकर अत्याचार करने के कारण उनपर यातना आ पहुँचेगी। अतः वे अपने बचाव के संदर्भ में कोई बात नहीं कर सकेंगे, क्योंकि वे ऐसा करने में असमर्थ और उनके तर्क अमान्य होंगे। |
| Ayah 86 |
| عَرَبِي | أَلَم يَرَوا أَنّا جَعَلنَا اللَّيلَ لِيَسكُنوا فيهِ وَالنَّهارَ مُبصِرًا ۚ إِنَّ في ذٰلِكَ لَآياتٍ لِقَومٍ يُؤمِنونَ |

| English (Pickthall) | Have they not seen how We have appointed the night that they may rest therein, and the day sight-giving? Lo! therein verily are portents for a people who believe. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | See they not that We have made the Night for them to rest in and the Day to give them light? Verily in this are Signs for any people that believe! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Do they not see that We made the night that they may rest therein and the day giving sight? Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Do these deniers of the resurrection not see that I made the night so that they can rest in it through sleep, and I made the day bright for them so that they can see therein and then hasten towards their work? In that repeated death and the rising after it are proofs for the resurrection after death. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | क्या उन्होंने देखा नहीं कि हमने रात को (अँधेरी) बनाया, ताकि वे उसमें शान्ति और चैन प्राप्त करें। और दिन को प्रकाशमान बनाया (कि उसमें काम करें)? निश्चय ही इसमें उन लोगों के लिए निशानियाँ है, जो ईमान ले आएँ |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | क्या इन लोगों ने ये भी न देखा कि हमने रात को इसलिए बनाया कि ये लोग इसमे चैन करें और दिन को रौशन (ताकि देखभाल करे) बेशक इसमें ईमान लाने वालों के लिए (कुदरते ख़ुदा की) बहुत सी निशानियाँ हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्या मरणोपरांत पुनः जीवित किए जाने को झुठलाने वाले ये लोग नहीं देखते कि हमने रात बनाई, ताकि वे उसमें सोकर आराम कर सकें, तथा दिन को प्रकाशमान बनाया, ताकि उसमें देख सकें और अपने कामों के लिए निकल सकें। इस बार-बार होने वाली मृत्यु और उसके बाद जी उठने में विश्वास रखने वाले लोगों के लिए स्पष्ट निशानियाँ हैं। |
| Ayah 87 |
| عَرَبِي | وَيَومَ يُنفَخُ فِي الصّورِ فَفَزِعَ مَن فِي السَّماواتِ وَمَن فِي الأَرضِ إِلّا مَن شاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ وَكُلٌّ أَتَوهُ داخِرينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wayawma yunfakhu fee alssoori fafaziAAa man fee alssamawati waman fee alardi illa man shaa Allahu wakullun atawhu dakhireena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa Yawma yunfakhu fis Soori fafazi'a man fis samaawaati wa man fil ardi illaa man shaaa'al laah; wa kullun atawhu daakhireen |
| English (Pickthall) | And (remind them of) the Day when the Trumpet will be blown, and all who are in the heavens and the earth will start in fear, save him whom Allah willeth. And all come unto Him, humbled. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And the Day that the Trumpet will be sounded - then will be smitten with terror those who are in the heavens, and those who are on earth, except such as Allah will please (to exempt): and all shall come to His (Presence) as beings conscious of their lowliness. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [warn of] the Day the Horn will be blown, and whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth will be terrified except whom Allah wills. And all will come to Him humbled. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger, remember: the day in which the angel appointed to blow the trumpet a second time will blow, then everyone in the heavens and everyone on earth will be terrified except whom Allah has excluded from being terrified, as a grace from Him. And all the creation of Allah will come to him on that day, in obedience and with humility. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और ख़याल करो जिस दिन सूर (नरसिंघा) में फूँक मारी जाएगी और जो आकाशों और धरती में है, घबरा उठेंगे, सिवाय उनके जिन्हें अल्लाह चाहे - और सब कान दबाए उसके समक्ष उपस्थित हो जाएँगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (उस दिन याद करो) जिस दिन सूर फूँका जाएगा तो जितने लोग आसमानों मे हैं और जितने लोग ज़मीन में हैं (ग़रज़ सब के सब) दहल जाएंगें मगर जिस शख्स को ख़ुदा चाहे (वो अलबत्ता मुतमइन रहेगा) और सब लोग उसकी बारगाह में ज़िल्लत व आजिज़ी की हालत में हाज़िर होगें |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और (ऐ रसूल!) याद करें उस दिन को, जब सूर फूँकने के कार्य पर नियुक्त फ़रिश्ता नरसिंघा में द्वितीय बार फूँकेगा, तो आकाशों एवं धरती में मौजूद सारी चीज़ें घबरा जाएँगी, सिवाय उसके जिसे अल्लाह ने अपनी कृपा से इस घबराहट से अलग कर दिया। उस दिन अल्लाह के सभी प्राणी उसके पास आज्ञाकारी एवं हीन होकर आएँगे। |
| Ayah 88 |
| عَرَبِي | وَتَرَى الجِبالَ تَحسَبُها جامِدَةً وَهِيَ تَمُرُّ مَرَّ السَّحابِ ۚ صُنعَ اللَّهِ الَّذي أَتقَنَ كُلَّ شَيءٍ ۚ إِنَّهُ خَبيرٌ بِما تَفعَلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Watara aljibala tahsabuha jamidatan wahiya tamurru marra alssahabi sunAAa Allahi allathee atqana kulla shayin innahu khabeerun bima tafAAaloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa taral jibaala tahsabuhaa jaamidatanw wa hiya tamurru marras sahaab; sun'al laahil lazeee atqana kulla shai'; innahoo khabeerum bimaa taf'aloon |
| English (Pickthall) | And thou seest the hills thou deemest solid flying with the flight of clouds: the doing of Allah Who perfecteth all things. Lo! He is Informed of what ye do. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Thou seest the mountains and thinkest them firmly fixed: but they shall pass away as the clouds pass away: (such is) the artistry of Allah, who disposes of all things in perfect order: for he is well acquainted with all that ye do. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And you see the mountains, thinking them rigid, while they will pass as the passing of clouds. [It is] the work of Allah, who perfected all things. Indeed, He is Acquainted with that which you do. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And you will see mountains on that day thinking them to be firm without moving, but they will in fact move like clouds move. It is the doing of Allah, for He is the one who makes them move. He is Aware of what you do. None of your actions are hidden from Him and He shall reward you for them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और तुम पहाड़ों को देखकर समझते हो कि वे जमे हुए है, हालाँकि वे चल रहे होंगे, जिस प्रकार बादल चलते है। यह अल्लाह की कारीगरी है, जिसने हर चीज़ को सुदृढ़ किया। निस्संदेह वह उसकी ख़बर रखता है, जो कुछ तुम करते हो |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और तुम पहाड़ों को देखकर उन्हें मज़बूर जमे हुए समझतें हो हालाकि ये (क़यामत के दिन) बादल की तरह उड़े उडे फ़िरेगें (ये भी) ख़ुदा की कारीगरी है कि जिसने हर चीज़ को ख़ूब मज़बूत बनाया है बेशक जो कुछ तुम लोग करते हो उससे वह ख़ूब वाक़िफ़ है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उस दिन तुम पहाड़ों को देखकर सोचोगे कि वे स्थिर हैं, हिल नहीं रहे हैं, जबकि वास्तव में वे बादलों की तरह तेज गति से चल रहे होंगे। यह अल्लाह की कारीगरी है, अतः वही है जो उन्हें चला रहा है। निःसंदेह वह भली-भाँति जानता है जो कुछ तुम करते हो, तुम्हारे कार्यों में से कुछ भी उससे छिपा नहीं है, और वह शीघ्र ही तुम्हें उनका बदला देगा। |
| Ayah 89 |
| عَرَبِي | مَن جاءَ بِالحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُ خَيرٌ مِنها وَهُم مِن فَزَعٍ يَومَئِذٍ آمِنونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Man jaa bialhasanati falahu khayrun minha wahum min fazaAAin yawmaithin aminoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Man jaaa'a bilhasanati falahoo khairum minhaa wa hum min faza'iny Yawma'izin aaminoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Whoso bringeth a good deed will have better than its worth; and such are safe from fear that Day. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | If any do good, good will (accrue) to them therefrom; and they will be secure from terror that Day. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Whoever comes [at Judgement] with a good deed will have better than it, and they, from the terror of that Day, will be safe. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | On the Day of Judgement, whoever brings faith and good deeds will gain paradise and will be safe from the horrors of that day due to Allah granting them that safety. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जो कोई सुचरित लेकर आया उसको उससे भी अच्छा प्राप्त होगा; और ऐसे लोग घबराहट से उस दिन निश्चिन्त होंगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जो शख्स नेक काम करेगा उसके लिए उसकी जज़ा उससे कहीं बेहतर है ओर ये लोग उस दिन ख़ौफ व ख़तरे से महफूज़ रहेंगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो कोई क़ियामत के दिन ईमान और नेक कामों के साथ आएगा, उसके लिए जन्नत होगी, और वे अल्लाह के उन्हें सुरक्षा प्रदान करने के कारण क़ियामत के दिन की घबराहट से सुरक्षित होंगे। |
| Ayah 90 |
| عَرَبِي | وَمَن جاءَ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ فَكُبَّت وُجوهُهُم فِي النّارِ هَل تُجزَونَ إِلّا ما كُنتُم تَعمَلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waman jaa bialssayyiati fakubbat wujoohuhum fee alnnari hal tujzawna illa ma kuntum taAAmaloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa man jaaa'a bissai yi'ati fakubbat wujoohuhum fin Naari hal tujzawna illaa maa kuntum ta'maloon |
| English (Pickthall) | And whoso bringeth an ill-deed, such will be flung down on their faces in the Fire. Are ye rewarded aught save what ye did? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And if any do evil, their faces will be thrown headlong into the Fire: "Do ye receive a reward other than that which ye have earned by your deeds?" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And whoever comes with an evil deed - their faces will be overturned into the Fire, [and it will be said], "Are you recompensed except for what you used to do?" |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And whoever comes with disbelief and sins, for them will be the hellfire in which they will be thrown face first. It will be said to them by way of rebuke and humiliation: “Are you being requited except for the disbelief and the sins you used to commit?” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और जो कुचरित लेकर आया तो ऐसे लोगों के मुँह आग में औधे होंगे। (और उनसे कहा जाएगा) "क्या तुम उसके सिवा किसी और चीज़ का बदला पा रहे हो, जो तुम करते रहे हो?" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जो लोग बुरा काम करेंगे वह मुँह के बल जहन्नुम में झोक दिए जाएँगे (और उनसे कहा जाएगा कि) जो कुछ तुम (दुनिया में) करते थे बस उसी का जज़ा तुम्हें दी जाएगी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | परंतु जो कुफ़्र और पाप के साथ आएगा, तो उनके लिए नरक है जिसमें उन्हें उनके चेहरों के बल डाला जाएगा, तथा उनसे उन्हें डाँटते और अपमानित करते हुए कहा जाएगा : क्या तुम्हें उसके सिवा किसी और चीज़ का बदला दिया जाएगा, जो तुम दुनिया में कुफ़्र और पाप किया करते थे? |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّما أُمِرتُ أَن أَعبُدَ رَبَّ هٰذِهِ البَلدَةِ الَّذي حَرَّمَها وَلَهُ كُلُّ شَيءٍ ۖ وَأُمِرتُ أَن أَكونَ مِنَ المُسلِمينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Innama omirtu an aAAbuda rabba hathihi albaldati allathee harramaha walahu kullu shayin waomirtu an akoona mina almuslimeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innamaaa umirtu an a'buda Rabba haazihil baldatil lazee harramahaa wa lahoo kullu shai'inw wa umirtu an akoona minal muslimeen |
| English (Pickthall) | (Say): I (Muhammad) am commanded only to serve the Lord of this land which He hath hallowed, and unto Whom all things belong. And I am commanded to be of those who surrender (unto Him), |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | For me, I have been commanded to serve the Lord of this city, Him Who has sanctified it and to Whom (belong) all things: and I am commanded to be of those who bow in Islam to Allah's Will,- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [Say, O Muhammad], "I have only been commanded to worship the Lord of this city, who made it sacred and to whom [belongs] all things. And I am commanded to be of the Muslims [those who submit to Allah] |

Say to them: “I have only been commanded to worship the Lord of this city (Makkah) which He has sanctified, so no blood should be shed in it, nor should anyone be oppressed in it, nor should its game be hunted or trees cut. And to Him belongs the authority over everything. I have also been commanded to be from those who submit to Allah in obedience to Him.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | मुझे तो बस यही आदेश मिला है कि इस नगर (मक्का) के रब की बन्दगी करूँ, जिसने इस आदरणीय ठहराया और उसी की हर चीज़ है। और मुझे आदेश मिला है कि मैं आज्ञाकारी बनकर रहूँ |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (ऐ रसूल उनसे कह दो कि) मुझे तो बस यही हुक्म दिया गया है कि मै इस शहर (मक्का) के मालिक की इबादत करुँ जिसने उसे इज्ज़त व हुरमत दी है और हर चीज़ उसकी है और मुझे ये हुक्म दिया गया कि मै (उसके) फरमाबरदार बन्दों में से हूँ |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल!) आप उनसे कह दें : मुझे तो केवल यही आदेश दिया गया है कि मैं मक्का (नगर) के पालनहार की उपासना करूँ, जिसने इसे प्रतिष्ठा एवं सम्मान प्रदान किया है। अतः इसमें रक्त नहीं बहाया जाएगा, इसमें किसी पर अत्याचार नहीं किया जाएगा, इसके शिकार को नहीं मारा जाएगा और यहाँ के पेड़ों को नहीं काटा जाएगा। वही पवित्र अल्लाह हर वस्तु का मालिक है। तथा मुझे आदेश दिया गया है कि मैं अल्लाह के आगे समर्पण करने वालों, उसके आज्ञाकारियों में से हो जाऊँ। |
| Ayah 92 |
| عَرَبِي | وَأَن أَتلُوَ القُرآنَ ۖ فَمَنِ اهتَدىٰ فَإِنَّما يَهتَدي لِنَفسِهِ ۖ وَمَن ضَلَّ فَقُل إِنَّما أَنا مِنَ المُنذِرينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waan atluwa alqurana famani ihtada fainnama yahtadee linafsihi waman dalla faqul innama ana mina almunthireena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa an atluwal Qur-aana famanih tadaa fa innnamaa yahtadee linafsihee wa man dalla faqul innamaaa ana minal munzireen |
| English (Pickthall) | And to recite the Qur'an. And whoso goeth right, goeth right only for (the good of) his own soul; and as for him who goeth astray - (Unto him) say: Lo! I am only a warner. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And to rehearse the Qur'an: and if any accept guidance, they do it for the good of their own souls, and if any stray, say: "I am only a Warner". |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And to recite the Qur'an." And whoever is guided is only guided for [the benefit of] himself; and whoever strays - say, "I am only [one] of the warners." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And I have been commanded to recite the Qur’ān to people; whoever is guided by it and implements its teachings, his guidance will benefit him. But whoever deviates from its teachings, rejects them and does not implement them, say to him: “I am only one of the warners; I warn you of the punishment of Allah. and your guidance is not in my hands.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और यह कि क़ुरआन पढ़कर सुनाऊँ। अब जिस किसी ने संमार्ग ग्रहण किया वह अपने ही लिए संमार्ग ग्रहण करेगा। और जो पथभ्रष्टि रहा तो कह दो, "मैं तो बस एक सचेत करनेवाला ही हूँ।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और ये कि मै क़ुरान पढ़ा करुँ फिर जो शख्स राह पर आया तो अपनी ज़ात के नफे क़े वास्ते राह पर आया और जो गुमराह हुआ तो तुम कह दो कि मै भी एक एक डराने वाला हूँ |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा मुझे आदेश दिया गया है कि मैं लोगों को क़ुरआन पढ़कर सुनाऊँ। फिर जो इससे मार्गदर्शन प्राप्त करे तथा इसमें जो कुछ है उसके अनुसार काम करे, तो उसके मार्गदर्शन प्राप्त करने का लाभ स्वंय उसी को होगा। परंतु जो उससे भटककर गुमराह हो जाए और उसका इनकार कर दे तथा उसमें जो कुछ है उसके अनुसार कार्य न करे, तो आप कह दें : मैं तो केवल चेतावनी देने वालों में से हूँ, मैं तुम्हें अल्लाह की यातना के बारे में चेतावनी देता हूँ, और तुम्हें सीधे रास्ते पर चलाना मेरे हाथ में नहीं है। |
| Ayah 93 |
| عَرَبِي | وَقُلِ الحَمدُ لِلَّهِ سَيُريكُم آياتِهِ فَتَعرِفونَها ۚ وَما رَبُّكَ بِغافِلٍ عَمّا تَعمَلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waquli alhamdu lillahi sayureekum ayatihi fataAArifoonaha wama rabbuka bighafilin AAamma taAAmaloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa qulil hamdu lillaahi sa yureekum Aayaatihee fata'ri foonahaa; wa maa Rabbuka bighaaflin 'ammaa ta'maloon |
| English (Pickthall) | And say: Praise be to Allah Who will show you His portents so that ye shall know them. And thy Lord is not unaware of what ye (mortals) do. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And say: "Praise be to Allah, Who will soon show you His Signs, so that ye shall know them"; and thy Lord is not unmindful of all that ye do. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And say, "[All] praise is [due] to Allah. He will show you His signs, and you will recognize them. And your Lord is not unaware of what you do." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Say - O Messenger: “All praise belongs to Allah for His innumerable blessings. He will show you His signs in the horizons and in yourselves; you will recognise them such that they will lead you to submitting to the truth. And your Lord is not neglectful of your actions; He is watching over them, none of them are hidden from Him and He will requite you for them.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और कहो, "सारी प्रशंसा अल्लाह के लिए है। जल्द ही वह तुम्हें अपनी निशानियाँ दिखा देगा और तुम उन्हें पहचान लोगे। और तेरा रब उससे बेख़बर नहीं है, जो कुछ तुम सब कर रहे हो।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और तुम कह दो कि अल्हमदोलिल्लाह वह अनक़रीब तुम्हें (अपनी क़ुदरत की) निशानियाँ दिखा देगा तो तुम उन्हें पहचान लोगे और जो कुछ तुम करते हो तुम्हारा परवरदिगार उससे ग़ाफिल नहीं है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और (ऐ रसूल!) आप कह दें : अल्लाह की अनगिनत नेमतों के लिए हर प्रकार की प्रशंसा उसी के लिए है। शीघ्र ही अल्लाह तुम्हें स्वंय तुम्हारे अंदर, तथा आकाश एवं धरती और जीविका में अपनी निशानियाँ दिखाएगा। तो तुम उन्हें ऐसे पहचान लोगे कि वह तुम्हें सच्चाई को मानने के लिए मार्गदर्शन करेगा। तथा तुम्हारा पालनहार उससे बेख़बर नहीं है जो कुछ तुम करते हो, बल्कि वह उससे अवगत है। उससे कुछ भी छिपा नहीं है और शीघ्र ही वह तुम्हें उसका बदला देगा। |
