| عَرَبِي | أَحَسِبَ النّاسُ أَن يُترَكوا أَن يَقولوا آمَنّا وَهُم لا يُفتَنونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ahasiba alnnasu an yutrakoo an yaqooloo amanna wahum la yuftanoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ahasiban naasu anyu yutrakooo any yaqoolooo aamannaa wa hum la yuftanoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Do men imagine that they will be left (at ease) because they say, We believe, and will not be tested with affliction? |

| عَرَبِي | وَلَقَد فَتَنَّا الَّذينَ مِن قَبلِهِم ۖ فَلَيَعلَمَنَّ اللَّهُ الَّذينَ صَدَقوا وَلَيَعلَمَنَّ الكاذِبينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaqad fatanna allatheena min qablihim falayaAAlamanna Allahu allatheena sadaqoo walayaAAlamanna alkathibeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laqad fatannal lazeena min qablihim fala ya'lamannal laahul lazeena sadaqoo wa la ya'lamannal kaazibeen |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! We tested those who were before you. Thus Allah knoweth those who are sincere, and knoweth those who feign. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | We did test those before them, and Allah will certainly know those who are true from those who are false. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But We have certainly tried those before them, and Allah will surely make evident those who are truthful, and He will surely make evident the liars. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I tested those before them, so Allah will make clear and disclose to you the truth of those who were true in their faith and the lie of those who were dishonest therein. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हालाँकि निश्चय हमने इनसे पहले के लोगों की परीक्षा की। अतः अल्लाह अवश्य स्पष्ट रूप से जान लेगा और तुम्हारे सामने उजागर कर देगा कि उनमें से कौन लोग अपने ईमान में सच्चे हैं और कौन लोग झूठे हैं। |
| Ayah 4 |
| عَرَبِي | أَم حَسِبَ الَّذينَ يَعمَلونَ السَّيِّئَاتِ أَن يَسبِقونا ۚ ساءَ ما يَحكُمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Am hasiba allatheena yaAAmaloona alssayyiati an yasbiqoona saa ma yahkumoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Am hasibal lazeena ya'maloonas sayyiaati any yasbiqoonaa; saaa'a maa yahkumoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Or do those who do ill-deeds imagine that they can outstrip Us? Evil (for them) is that which they decide. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Do those who practise evil think that they will get the better of Us? Evil is their judgment! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Or do those who do evil deeds think they can outrun Us? Evil is what they judge. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Or did those who commit sins such as idolatry and so forth think they will escape us and be saved from My punishment? Bad is the judgment they make, for they will not be able to make Allah powerless nor will they be saved from His punishment if they die on their disbelief. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | क्या जो लोग बुरे बुरे काम करते हैं उन्होंने ये समझ लिया है कि वह हमसे (बचकर) निकल जाएँगे (अगर ऐसा है तो) ये लोग क्या ही बुरे हुक्म लगाते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | बल्कि, क्या उन लोगों ने जो शिर्क और अन्य पाप करते हैं, यह समझ रखा है कि वे हमें विवश कर देंगे और हमारी सज़ा से बच जाएँगे? बहुत ही बुरा है वह फ़ैसला, जो वे कर रहे हैं। क्योंकि वे अल्लाह को विवश नहीं कर सकते और और यदि वे अपने कुफ़्र ही की हालत पर मर गए, तो वे उसकी सज़ा से नहीं बच सकते। |

| عَرَبِي | مَن كانَ يَرجو لِقاءَ اللَّهِ فَإِنَّ أَجَلَ اللَّهِ لَآتٍ ۚ وَهُوَ السَّميعُ العَليمُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Man kana yarjoo liqaa Allahi fainna ajala Allahi laatin wahuwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Man kaana yarjoo liqaaa 'allaahi fa inna ajalal laahi laaat; wa Huwass Sameeul 'Aleem |
| English (Pickthall) | Whoso looketh forward to the meeting with Allah (let him know that) Allah's reckoning is surely nigh, and He is the Hearer, the Knower. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | For those whose hopes are in the meeting with Allah (in the Hereafter, let them strive); for the term (appointed) by Allah is surely coming and He hears and knows (all things). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Whoever should hope for the meeting with Allah - indeed, the term decreed by Allah is coming. And He is the Hearing, the Knowing. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Whoever is hopeful of meeting Allah on the day of judgment so He can reward him should know that the time Allah has appointed for that is coming soon. And He is Hearing of the statements of His servants, Knowing of their actions. Nothing of their actions are hidden from Him and He shall reward them accordingly. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो व्यक्ति क़ियामत के दिन बदला पाने के लिए अल्लाह से मिलने की आशा रखता हो, उसे जान लेना चाहिए कि अल्लाह ने उसके लिए जो नियमित समय नियत किया है, वह शीघ्र ही आने वाला है। और वह अपने बंदों की बातों को सुनने वाला, उनके कार्यों को जानने वाला है। उससे इनमें से कोई भी चीज़ छूट नहीं सकती और वह उन्हें इसका बदला देगा। |

| عَرَبِي | وَمَن جاهَدَ فَإِنَّما يُجاهِدُ لِنَفسِهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَغَنِيٌّ عَنِ العالَمينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waman jahada fainnama yujahidu linafsihi inna Allaha laghaniyyun AAani alAAalameena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa man jaahada fainnamaa yujaahidu linafsih; innal laaha laghaniyyun 'anil 'aalameen |
| English (Pickthall) | And whosoever striveth, striveth only for himself, for lo! Allah is altogether Independent of (His) creatures. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And if any strive (with might and main), they do so for their own souls: for Allah is free of all needs from all creation. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And whoever strives only strives for [the benefit of] himself. Indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And whoever exerts himself by motivating it to guidance and staying far from disobedience, and whoever strives in the way of Allah, he is only doing so for his own benefit. Allah is Self-Sufficient and in no need of all the creation. Their obedience does not increase Him nor does their disobedience decrease Him. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और जो व्यक्ति (अल्लाह के मार्ग में) संघर्ष करता है वह तो स्वयं अपने ही लिए संघर्ष करता है। निश्चय ही अल्लाह सारे संसार से निस्पृह है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जो शख्स (इबादत में) कोशिश करता है तो बस अपने ही वास्ते कोशिश करता है (क्योंकि) इसमें तो शक ही नहीं कि ख़ुदा सारे जहाँन (की इबादत) से बेनियाज़ है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जिस व्यक्ति ने स्वयं को आज्ञाकारिता पर उभार कर और अवज्ञा से दूर रहकर अपने आपसे संघर्ष किया और अल्लाह के मार्ग में जिहाद किया, तो वह अपने ही लिए जिहाद (संघर्ष) करता है; क्योंकि उसका लाभ उसी को मिलने वाला है। और अल्लाह सभी प्राणियों से बेनियाज़ है। अतः उनकी आज्ञाकारिता उसे बढ़ाती नहीं है और न ही उनकी अवज्ञा उसे कम करती है। |
| Ayah 7 |
| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ آمَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّالِحاتِ لَنُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنهُم سَيِّئَاتِهِم وَلَنَجزِيَنَّهُم أَحسَنَ الَّذي كانوا يَعمَلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati lanukaffiranna AAanhum sayyiatihim walanajziyannahum ahsana allathee kanoo yaAAmaloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati lanukaf firanna 'anhum saiyiaatihim wa lanajziyannahum ahsanal lazee kaanoo ya'maloon |
| English (Pickthall) | And as for those who believe and do good works, We shall remit from them their evil deeds and shall repay them the best that they did. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who believe and work righteous deeds,- from them shall We blot out all evil (that may be) in them, and We shall reward them according to the best of their deeds. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And those who believe and do righteous deeds - We will surely remove from them their misdeeds and will surely reward them according to the best of what they used to do. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who brought faith and were patient on our testing them, and who did good actions, I shall wipe out their sins due to the good actions they did, and I shall reward them in the afterlife with the best of what they used to do in this world. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और जो लोग ईमान लाए और उन्होंने अच्छा कर्म किए हम उनसे उनकी बुराइयों को दूर कर देंगे और उन्हें अवश्य ही उसका प्रतिदान प्रदान करेंगे, जो कुछ अच्छे कर्म वे करते रहे होंगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जिन लोगों ने ईमान क़ुबूल किया और अच्छे अच्छे काम किए हम यक़ीनन उनके गुनाहों की तरफ से कफ्फारा क़रार देगें और ये (दुनिया में) जो आमाल करते थे हम उनके आमाल की उन्हें अच्छी से अच्छी जज़ा अता करेंगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और जो लोग ईमान लाए और हमारी परीक्षाओं पर सब्र किए, तथा उन्होंने नेक कार्य किए, निश्चय हम उनके अच्छे कामों के कारण उनके गुनाहों को ज़रूर मिटा देंगे और निश्चय उन्हें आख़िरत में उन कार्यों का बेहतरीन बदला अवश्य देंगे जो वे दुनिया में किया करते थे। |

| عَرَبِي | وَوَصَّينَا الإِنسانَ بِوالِدَيهِ حُسنًا ۖ وَإِن جاهَداكَ لِتُشرِكَ بي ما لَيسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلمٌ فَلا تُطِعهُما ۚ إِلَيَّ مَرجِعُكُم فَأُنَبِّئُكُم بِما كُنتُم تَعمَلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wawassayna alinsana biwalidayhi husnan wain jahadaka litushrika bee ma laysa laka bihi AAilmun fala tutiAAhuma ilayya marjiAAukum faonabbiokum bima kuntum taAAmaloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa wassainal insaana biwaalidaihi husnanw wa in jaahadaaka litushrika bee maa laisa laka bihee 'ilmun falaa tuti'humaa; ilaiya marji'ukum fa unabbi'ukum bimaa kuntum ta'maloon |
| English (Pickthall) | We have enjoined on man kindness to parents; but if they strive to make thee join with Me that of which thou hast no knowledge, then obey them not. Unto Me is your return and I shall tell you what ye used to do. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | We have enjoined on man kindness to parents: but if they (either of them) strive (to force) thee to join with Me (in worship) anything of which thou hast no knowledge, obey them not. Ye have (all) to return to me, and I will tell you (the truth) of all that ye did. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We have enjoined upon man goodness to parents. But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. To Me is your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And I enjoined upon humankind that they be righteous and good with their parents. O man, if your parents force you to associate with Me that whose association you have no knowledge of - as occurred with Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqas from his mother - do not obey them in that, because there is no obedience to the creation in disobedience to the Creator. To Me alone is your return on the Day of Judgment, then I shall inform you of what you used to do in the world and I shall reward you for it. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और हमने इन्सान को अपने माँ बाप से अच्छा बरताव करने का हुक्म दिया है और (ये भी कि) अगर तुझे तेरे माँ बाप इस बात पर मजबूर करें कि ऐसी चीज़ को मेरा शरीक बना जिन (के शरीक होने) का मुझे इल्म तक नहीं तो उनका कहना न मानना तुम सबको (आख़िर एक दिन) मेरी तरफ लौट कर आना है मै जो कुछ तुम लोग (दुनिया में) करते थे बता दूँगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और हमने मनुष्य को आदेश दिया है कि अपने माता-पिता के साथ अच्छा व्यवहार और भलाई करे। और यदि (ऐ मनुष्य!) तेरे माता-पिता तुझपर दबाव डालें कि तू उस चीज़ को मेरा साझी बनाए, जिसको साझी बनाने का तुझे कोई ज्ञान नहीं (जैसा कि सअद बिन अबी वक़्क़ास रज़ियल्लाहु अन्हु की माँ ने उनके साथ किया था), तो उसमें उनकी बात मत मान। क्योंकि सृष्टिकर्ता की अवज्ञा में किसी भी प्राणी की आज्ञाकारिता नहीं है। क़ियामत के दिन तुम्हारी वापसी केवल मेरी ओर है, फिर मैं तुम्हें बताऊँगा कि तुम दुनिया में क्या करते थे और मैं तुम्हें उसका बदला दूँगा। |
| Ayah 9 |
| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ آمَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّالِحاتِ لَنُدخِلَنَّهُم فِي الصّالِحينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati lanudkhilannahum fee alssaliheena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena aamanoo w a'amilus saalihaati lanudkhilan nahum fis saaliheen |
| English (Pickthall) | And as for those who believe and do good works, We verily shall make them enter in among the righteous. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And those who believe and work righteous deeds,- them shall We admit to the company of the Righteous. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And those who believe and do righteous deeds - We will surely admit them among the righteous [into Paradise]. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And those who brought faith and did good actions, I shall enter them on the day of judgment amongst the righteous, thus I will raise them with them and grant them their reward. |

| Ayah 10 |
| عَرَبِي | وَمِنَ النّاسِ مَن يَقولُ آمَنّا بِاللَّهِ فَإِذا أوذِيَ فِي اللَّهِ جَعَلَ فِتنَةَ النّاسِ كَعَذابِ اللَّهِ وَلَئِن جاءَ نَصرٌ مِن رَبِّكَ لَيَقولُنَّ إِنّا كُنّا مَعَكُم ۚ أَوَلَيسَ اللَّهُ بِأَعلَمَ بِما في صُدورِ العالَمينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wamina alnnasi man yaqoolu amanna biAllahi faitha oothiya fee Allahi jaAAala fitnata alnnasi kaAAathabi Allahi walain jaa nasrun min rabbika layaqoolunna inna kunna maAAakum awalaysa Allahu biaAAlama bima fee sudoori alAAalameena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa minan naasi many yaqoolu aamannaa billaahi faizaaa ooziya fil laahi ja'ala fitnatan naasi ka'azaabil laahi wa la'in jaaa'a nasrum mir Rabbika la yaqoolunna innaa kunnaa ma'akum; awa laisal laahu bi a'lama bimaa fee surdooril 'aalameen |
| English (Pickthall) | Of mankind is he who saith: We believe in Allah, but, if he be made to suffer for the sake of Allah, he mistaketh the persecution of mankind for Allah's punishment; and then, if victory cometh from thy Lord, will say: Lo! we were with you (all the while). Is not Allah Best Aware of what is in the bosoms of (His) creatures? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Then there are among men such as say, "We believe in Allah"; but when they suffer affliction in (the cause of) Allah, they treat men's oppression as if it were the Wrath of Allah! And if help comes (to thee) from thy Lord, they are sure to say, "We have (always) been with you!" Does not Allah know best all that is in the hearts of all creation? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And of the people are some who say, "We believe in Allah," but when one [of them] is harmed for [the cause of] Allah, they consider the trial of the people as [if it were] the punishment of Allah. But if victory comes from your Lord, they say, "Indeed, We were with you." Is not Allah most knowing of what is within the breasts of all creatures? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Amongst people is he who says: “I brought faith in Allah”. But when the disbelievers afflict him with harm due to his faith, he considers their torture the punishment of Allah, hence he renounces faith to conform with the disbelievers. And if you achieve help from your Lord, O Messenger, they will say: “We are with you in faith, O believers”. Does Allah not know best what is in the hearts of people, nothing of disbelief and faith they contain being hidden from Him? So how do you inform Allah of what is in their hearts when He knows better than them what they contain? |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | लोगों में ऐसे भी है जो कहते है कि "हम अल्लाह पर ईमान लाए," किन्तु जब अल्लाह के मामले में वे सताए गए तो उन्होंने लोगों की ओर से आई हुई आज़माइश को अल्लाह की यातना समझ लिया। अब यदि तेरे रब की ओर से सहायता पहुँच गई तो कहेंगे, "हम तो तुम्हारे साथ थे।" क्या जो कुछ दुनियावालों के सीनों में है उसे अल्लाह भली-भाँति नहीं जानता? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और कुछ लोग ऐसे भी हैं जो (ज़बान से तो) कह देते हैं कि हम ख़ुदा पर ईमान लाए फिर जब उनको ख़ुदा के बारे में कुछ तकलीफ़ पहुँची तो वह लोगों की तकलीफ़ देही को अज़ाब के बराबर ठहराते हैं और (ऐ रसूल) अगर तुम्हारे पास तुम्हारे परवरदिगार की मदद आ पहुँची और तुम्हें फतेह हुई तो यही लोग कहने लगते हैं कि हम भी तो तुम्हारे साथ ही साथ थे भला जो कुछ सारे जहाँन के दिलों में है क्या ख़ुदा बख़ूबी वाक़िफ नहीं (ज़रुर है) |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और लोगों में कुछ ऐसे हैं, जो कहते हैं कि हम अल्लाह पर ईमान लाए। फिर जब उसके ईमान के कारण काफ़िर लोग उसे कष्ट पहुँचाते हैं, तो वह काफ़िरों की प्रताड़ना को अल्लाह की यातना के समान समझ लेता है। इसलिए वह काफ़िरों की मुवाफ़क़त में ईमान से पलट जाता है। और यदि (ऐ रसूल!) आपको आपके रब की ओर से विजय प्राप्त हो जाए, तो वे अवश्य कहेंगे : हम तो (ऐ मोमिनो!) तुम्हारे साथ ईमान पर क़ायम थे। क्या अल्लाह उसे सबसे अधिक जानने वाला नहीं जो लोगों के सीनों में है?! उनमें जो कुछ भी कुफ़्र और ईमान है, उससे छिपा नहीं है। फिर वे अल्लाह को कैसे बता रहे हैं कि उनके दिलों में क्या है, जबकि वह उनसे अधिक जानने वाला है कि उनमें क्या है?! |
| Ayah 11 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَيَعلَمَنَّ اللَّهُ الَّذينَ آمَنوا وَلَيَعلَمَنَّ المُنافِقينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | WalayaAAlamanna Allahu allatheena amanoo walayaAAlamanna almunafiqeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa la ya'lamannal laahul lazeena aamanoo wa la ya'lamannal munaafiqeen |
| English (Pickthall) | Verily Allah knoweth those who believe, and verily He knoweth the hypocrites. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And Allah most certainly knows those who believe, and as certainly those who are Hypocrites. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And Allah will surely make evident those who believe, and He will surely make evident the hypocrites. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And surely Allah will make clear to His servants those who truly brought faith and He will make clear those who display faith but hide disbelief. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और अल्लाह तो उन लोगों को मालूम करके रहेगा जो ईमान लाए, और वह कपटाचारियों को भी मालूम करके रहेगा |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जिन लोगों ने ईमान क़ुबूल किया ख़ुदा उनको यक़ीनन जानता है और मुनाफेक़ीन को भी ज़रुर जानता है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और निश्चय अल्लाह उन लोगों को अवश्य जान लेगा जो वास्तव में उसपर ईमान लाए तथा निश्चय उन मुनाफ़िक़ों को भी ज़रूर जान लेगा, जो ईमान का दिखावा करते हैं और दिल में कुफ़्र छिपाए होते हैं। |
| Ayah 12 |
| عَرَبِي | وَقالَ الَّذينَ كَفَروا لِلَّذينَ آمَنُوا اتَّبِعوا سَبيلَنا وَلنَحمِل خَطاياكُم وَما هُم بِحامِلينَ مِن خَطاياهُم مِن شَيءٍ ۖ إِنَّهُم لَكاذِبونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waqala allatheena kafaroo lillatheena amanoo ittabiAAoo sabeelana walnahmil khatayakum wama hum bihamileena min khatayahum min shayin innahum lakathiboona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa qaalal lazaeena kafaroo lillazeena aamanut tabi'oo sabeelanaa walnahmil khataayaakum wa maa hum bihaamileena min khataa yaahum min shai'in innahum lakaaziboon |
| English (Pickthall) | Those who disbelieve say unto those who believe: Follow our way (of religion) and we verily will bear your sins (for you). They cannot bear aught of their sins. Lo! they verily are liars. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And the Unbelievers say to those who believe: "Follow our path, and we will bear (the consequences) of your faults." Never in the least will they bear their faults: in fact they are liars! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Follow our way, and we will carry your sins." But they will not carry anything of their sins. Indeed, they are liars. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And the disbelievers said to those who brought faith in Allah alone: “Follow our religion and what we are on, and we will carry your sins for you and we take responsibility for them”. They will not carry any of their sins, and they are lying in this statement of theirs. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और इनकार करनेवाले ईमान लानेवालों से कहते है, "तुम हमारे मार्ग पर चलो, हम तुम्हारी ख़ताओं का बोझ उठा लेंगे।" हालाँकि वे उनकी ख़ताओं में से कुछ भी उठानेवाले नहीं है। वे निश्चय ही झूठे है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और कुफ्फार ईमान वालों से कहने लगे कि हमारे तरीक़े पर चलो और (क़यामत में) तुम्हारे गुनाहों (के बोझ) को हम (अपने सर) ले लेंगे हालॉकि ये लोग ज़रा भी तो उनके गुनाह उठाने वाले नहीं ये लोग यक़ीनी झूठे हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और काफ़िरों ने केवल एक अल्लाह पर ईमान लाने वालों से कहा : तुम हमारे धर्म और हमारे मार्ग पर चलो, और तुम्हारी ओर से तुम्हारे पापों को हम उठालेंगे, इसलिए तुम्हारे बजाय उनका बदला हम दिए जाएँगे। हालाँकि वे उनके पापों में से कुछ भी उठाने वाले नहीं हैं और निश्चय वे अपने इस कथन में झूठे हैं। |
| Ayah 13 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَيَحمِلُنَّ أَثقالَهُم وَأَثقالًا مَعَ أَثقالِهِم ۖ وَلَيُسأَلُنَّ يَومَ القِيامَةِ عَمّا كانوا يَفتَرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walayahmilunna athqalahum waathqalan maAAa athqalihim walayusalunna yawma alqiyamati AAamma kanoo yaftaroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa la yahmilunna asqaa lahum wa asqaalam ma'a asqaalihim wa la yus'alunna Yawmal Qiyaamati 'ammaa kaanoo yaftaroon |
| English (Pickthall) | But they verily will bear their own loads and other loads beside their own, and they verily will be questioned on the Day of Resurrection concerning that which they invented. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They will bear their own burdens, and (other) burdens along with their own, and on the Day of Judgments they will be called to account for their falsehoods. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But they will surely carry their [own] burdens and [other] burdens along with their burdens, and they will surely be questioned on the Day of Resurrection about what they used to invent. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And I shall burden these idolaters who call towards their falsehood with the sins they committed and I shall burden them with the sins of those who followed their call, without any of the sins of their followers being decreased. And they will be questioned on the day of judgment regarding the falsehood they used to invent in this world. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | हाँ, अवश्य ही वे अपने बोझ भी उठाएँगे और अपने बोझों के साथ और बहुत-से बोझ भी। और क़ियामत के दिन अवश्य उनसे उसके विषय में पूछा जाएगा जो कुछ झूठ वे घड़ते रहे होंगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (हाँ) ये लोग अपने (गुनाह के) बोझे तो यक़ीनी उठाएँगें ही और अपने बोझो के साथ जिन्हें गुमराह किया उनके बोझे भी उठाएँगे और जो इफ़ितेरा परदाज़िया ये लोग करते रहे हैं क़यामत के दिन उन से ज़रुर उसकी बाज़पुर्स होगी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निश्चय अपने झूठ की ओर बुलाने वाले ये मुश्रिक अपने किए हुए पापों का बोझ ज़रूर उठाएँगे तथा निश्चय उन लोगों के पापों का भी बोझ अवश्य उठाएँगे जिन्होंने उनके आह्वान का पालन किया, जबकि उनका पालन करने वालों के पापों में कोई कमी नहीं की जाएगी। तथा निश्चय क़ियामत के दिन उनसे उन झूठी बातों के बारे में ज़रूर पूछा जाएगा, जो वे दुनिया में गढ़ा करते थे। |
| Ayah 14 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَقَد أَرسَلنا نوحًا إِلىٰ قَومِهِ فَلَبِثَ فيهِم أَلفَ سَنَةٍ إِلّا خَمسينَ عامًا فَأَخَذَهُمُ الطّوفانُ وَهُم ظالِمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaqad arsalna noohan ila qawmihi falabitha feehim alfa sanatin illa khamseena AAaman faakhathahumu alttoofanu wahum thalimoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laqad arsalnaa Noohan ilaa qawmihee falabisa feehim alfa sanatin illaa khamseena 'aaman fa akhazahumut toofaanu wa hum zaalimoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And verily we sent Noah (as Our messenger) unto his folk, and he continued with them for a thousand years save fifty years; and the flood engulfed them, for they were wrong-doers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | We (once) sent Noah to his people, and he tarried among them a thousand years less fifty: but the Deluge overwhelmed them while they (persisted in) sin. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We certainly sent Noah to his people, and he remained among them a thousand years minus fifty years, and the flood seized them while they were wrongdoers. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And I sent Noah as a Messenger to his people, then he stayed amongst them for a period of nine hundred and fifty years, calling them to the Oneness of Allah. But they denied him and remained on their disbelief, so the flood seized them whilst they were wrongdoers due to their disbelief in Allah and their denial of the Messengers, thus they were destroyed through drowning. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | हमने नूह को उसकी क़ौम की ओर भेजा। और वह पचास साल कम एक हजार वर्ष उनके बीच रहा। अन्ततः उनको तूफ़ान ने इस दशा में आ पकड़ा कि वे अत्याचारी था |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और हमने नूह को उनकी क़ौम के पास (पैग़म्बर बनाकर) भेजा तो वह उनमें पचास कम हज़ार बरस रहे (और हिदायत किया किए और जब न माना) तो आख़िर तूफान ने उन्हें ले डाला और वह उस वक्त भी सरकश ही थे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हमने नूह अलैहिस्सलाम को उनकी जाति की ओर रसूल बनाकर भेजा, तो वह उनके बीच नौ सौ पचास (950) वर्ष तक रहे और उन्हें अल्लाह की तौहीद (एकेश्वरवाद) की ओर बुलाते रहे। परंतु उन लोगों ने उन्हें झुठला दिया और अपने कुफ़्र पर बने रहे। अतः तूफ़ान (जलप्रलय) ने उन्हें पकड़ लिया, जबकि वे अल्लाह का इनकार करने और उसके रसूलों को झुठलाने के कारण अत्याचारी थे, और वे डूबकर मर गए। |
| Ayah 15 |
| عَرَبِي | فَأَنجَيناهُ وَأَصحابَ السَّفينَةِ وَجَعَلناها آيَةً لِلعالَمينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faanjaynahu waashaba alssafeenati wajaAAalnaha ayatan lilAAalameena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa anjainaahu wa as haabas safeenati wa ja'alnaahaaa Aayatal lil'aalameen |
| English (Pickthall) | And We rescued him and those with him in the ship, and made of it a portent for the peoples. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But We saved him and the companions of the Ark, and We made the (Ark) a Sign for all peoples! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But We saved him and the companions of the ship, and We made it a sign for the worlds. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So I saved Noah and the believers with him in the ark from being destroyed through drowning, and I made the ark a sign for people to take heed from. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | फिर उसको और नौकावालों को हमने बचा लिया और उसे सारे संसार के लिए एक निशानी बना दिया |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | फिर हमने नूह और कश्ती में रहने वालों को बचा लिया और हमने इस वाक़िये को सारी ख़ुदाई के वास्ते (अपनी क़ुदरत की) निशानी क़रार दी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर हमने नूह तथा नाव में उनके साथ मौजूद ईमान वालों को डूबने से बचा लिया तथा नाव को लोगों के लिए इबरत की एक निशानी बना दिया, जिससे वे इबरत हासिल कर सकें। |
| Ayah 16 |
| عَرَبِي | وَإِبراهيمَ إِذ قالَ لِقَومِهِ اعبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَاتَّقوهُ ۖ ذٰلِكُم خَيرٌ لَكُم إِن كُنتُم تَعلَمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waibraheema ith qala liqawmihi oAAbudoo Allaha waittaqoohu thalikum khayrun lakum in kuntum taAAlamoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa Ibraheema iz qaala liqawmihi' budul laaha wattaqoohu zaalikum khayrul lakum in kuntum ta'lamoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And Abraham! (Remember) when he said unto his folk: Serve Allah, and keep your duty unto Him; that is better for you if ye did but know. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And (We also saved) Abraham: behold, he said to his people, "Serve Allah and fear Him: that will be best for you- If ye understand! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [We sent] Abraham, when he said to his people, "Worship Allah and fear Him. That is best for you, if you should know. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger, remember the story of Abraham when he said to his people: “Worship Allah alone, and fear His punishment by carrying out His commands and refraining from His prohibitions. That which is being ordered that is better for you if you really want to know what is better for you. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और इबराहीम को भी भेजा, जबकि उसने अपनी क़ौम के लोगों से कहा, "अल्लाह की बन्दगी करो और उसका डर रखो। यह तुम्हारे लिए अच्छा है, यदि तुम जानो |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और इबराहीम को (याद करो) जब उन्होंने कहा कि (भाईयों) ख़ुदा की इबादत करो और उससे डरो अगर तुम समझते बूझते हो तो यही तुम्हारे हक़ में बेहतर है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और (ऐ रसूल!) इबराहीम अलैहिस्सलाम की कहानी को याद करें, जिस समय उन्होंने अपनी जाति के लोगों से कहा : तुम केवल अल्लाह की इबादत करो और उसके आदेशों का पालन करके तथा उसके निषेधों से बचकर उसकी सज़ा से डरो। यह आदेश तुम्हारे लिए बेहतर है, यदि तुम जानते हो। |
| Ayah 17 |
| عَرَبِي | إِنَّما تَعبُدونَ مِن دونِ اللَّهِ أَوثانًا وَتَخلُقونَ إِفكًا ۚ إِنَّ الَّذينَ تَعبُدونَ مِن دونِ اللَّهِ لا يَملِكونَ لَكُم رِزقًا فَابتَغوا عِندَ اللَّهِ الرِّزقَ وَاعبُدوهُ وَاشكُروا لَهُ ۖ إِلَيهِ تُرجَعونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Innama taAAbudoona min dooni Allahi awthanan watakhluqoona ifkan inna allatheena taAAbudoona min dooni Allahi la yamlikoona lakum rizqan faibtaghoo AAinda Allahi alrrizqa waoAAbudoohu waoshkuroo lahu ilayhi turjaAAoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innamaa ta'ubdoona min doonil laahi awsaananw-wa takhluqoona ifkaa; innal lazeena ta'budoona min doonil laahi laa yamlikoona lakum rizqan fabtaghoo 'indal laahir rizqa fabtaghoo 'indal laahir rizqa wa'budoohu washkuroo lahooo ilaihi turja'oon |
| English (Pickthall) | Ye serve instead of Allah only idols, and ye only invent a lie. Lo! those whom ye serve instead of Allah own no provision for you. So seek your provision from Allah, and serve Him, and give thanks unto Him, (for) unto Him ye will be brought back. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "For ye do worship idols besides Allah, and ye invent falsehood. The things that ye worship besides Allah have no power to give you sustenance: then seek ye sustenance from Allah, serve Him, and be grateful to Him: to Him will be your return. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | You only worship, besides Allah, idols, and you produce a falsehood. Indeed, those you worship besides Allah do not possess for you [the power of] provision. So seek from Allah provision and worship Him and be grateful to Him. To Him you will be returned." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O idolaters, you are only worshipping idols which do not benefit or harm, and you are inventing a lie when you claim they are worthy of worship. Those whom you worship besides Allah do not have the ability to provide for you that they should provide you. Seek provision from Allah alone, as He is the Provider, worship Him alone, and thank Him for the provision He has blessed you with. To Him alone you will be returned on the day of judgment to be reckoned and rewarded, not to Your idols”. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | तुम तो अल्लाह से हटकर बस मूर्तियों को पूज रहे हो और झूठ घड़ रहे हो। तुम अल्लाह से हटकर जिनको पूजते हो वे तुम्हारे लिए रोज़ी का भी अधिकार नहीं रखते। अतः तुम अल्लाह ही के यहाँ रोज़ी तलाश करो और उसी की बन्दगी करो और उसके आभारी बनो। तुम्हें उसी की ओर लौटकर जाना है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (मगर) तुम लोग तो ख़ुदा को छोड़कर सिर्फ बुतों की परसतिश करते हैं और झूठी बातें (अपने दिल से) गढ़ते हो इसमें तो शक ही नहीं कि ख़ुदा को छोड़कर जिन लोगों की तुम परसतिश करते हो वह तुम्हारी रोज़ी का एख्तेयार नही रखते-बस ख़ुदा ही से रोज़ी भी माँगों और उसकी इबादत भी करो उसका शुक्र करो (क्योंकि) तुम लोग (एक दिन) उसी की तरफ लौटाए जाओगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ मुश्रिको!) तुम (अल्लाह के सिवा) मात्र ऐसी मूर्तियों की पूजा करते हो, जो लाभ या हानि नहीं पहुँचाती हैं, तथा तुम झूठ गढ़ते हो जब यह दावा करते हो कि वे पूजा के योग्य हैं। निःसंदेह अल्लाह के सिवा जिनकी तुम पूजा करते हो, वे तुम्हारे लिए किसी रोज़ी के मालिक नहीं हैं, कि वे तुम्हें रोज़ी प्रदान करें। इसलिए तुम अल्लाह ही से रोज़ी माँगो, क्योंकि वही रोज़ी देने वाला है। तथा केवल उसी की इबादत करो और उसने तुम्हें जो रोज़ी प्रदान की है उसके लिए उसका शुक्रिया अदा करो। क़ियामत के दिन हिसाब और बदला के लिए तुम केवल उसी की ओर लौटाए जाओगे, न कि अपनी मूर्तियों की ओर। |
| Ayah 18 |
| عَرَبِي | وَإِن تُكَذِّبوا فَقَد كَذَّبَ أُمَمٌ مِن قَبلِكُم ۖ وَما عَلَى الرَّسولِ إِلَّا البَلاغُ المُبينُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wain tukaththiboo faqad kaththaba omamun min qablikum wama AAala alrrasooli illa albalaghu almubeenu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa in tukazziboo faqad kazzaba umamum min qablikum wa maa'alar Rasooli illal balaaghul mubeen |
| English (Pickthall) | But if ye deny, then nations have denied before you. The messenger is only to convey (the message) plainly. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "And if ye reject (the Message), so did generations before you: and the duty of the messenger is only to preach publicly (and clearly)." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And if you [people] deny [the message] - already nations before you have denied. And there is not upon the Messenger except [the duty of] clear notification. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O idolaters, if you deny what Muhammad (peace be upon him) brought, then nations before you also denied, such as the nation of Noah, and Aad and Thamud. It is only upon the Messenger to clearly convey, and he has conveyed what his Lord ordered him to convey to you. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और यदि तुम झुठलाते हो तो तुमसे पहले कितने ही समुदाय झुठला चुके है। रसूल पर तो बस केवल स्पष्ट रूप से (सत्य संदेश) पहुँचा देने की ज़िम्मेदारी है।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (ऐ अहले मक्का) अगर तुमने (मेरे रसूल को) झुठलाया तो (कुछ परवाह नहीं) तुमसे पहले भी तो बहुतेरी उम्मते (अपने पैग़म्बरों को) झुठला चुकी हैं और रसूल के ज़िम्मे तो सिर्फ (एहक़ाम का) पहुँचा देना है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और यदि (ऐ मुश्रिको!) तुम उसे झुठलाते हो, जो मुहम्मद सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम लेकर आए हैं, तो (याद रखो कि) तुमसे पहले बहुत-से समुदायों, जैसे कि नूह, आद और समूद के लोगों ने (अपने पैगंबरों को) झुठलाया। और रसूल का दायित्व केवल स्पष्ट रूप से अल्लाह का संदेश पहुँचा देना है। और जो कुछ उसके रब ने उसे तुम तक पहुँचाने का आदेश दिया था, वह उसने तुम्हें पहुँचा दिया है। |
| Ayah 19 |
| عَرَبِي | أَوَلَم يَرَوا كَيفَ يُبدِئُ اللَّهُ الخَلقَ ثُمَّ يُعيدُهُ ۚ إِنَّ ذٰلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسيرٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Awalam yaraw kayfa yubdio Allahu alkhalqa thumma yuAAeeduhu inna thalika AAala Allahi yaseerun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Awa lam yaraw kaifa yubdi'ul laahul khalqa summa yu'eeduh; inna zaalika 'alal laahi yaseer |
| English (Pickthall) | See they not how Allah produceth creation, then reproduceth it? Lo! for Allah that is easy. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | See they not how Allah originates creation, then repeats it: truly that is easy for Allah. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Have they not considered how Allah begins creation and then repeats it? Indeed that, for Allah, is easy. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Do these deniers not see how Allah created the creation initially, then He shall restore it after it has finished? This is easy for Allah, as He is Powerful with nothing is beyond His ability. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | क्या उन्होंने देखा नहीं कि अल्लाह किस प्रकार पैदाइश का आरम्भ करता है और फिर उसकी पुनरावृत्ति करता है? निस्संदेह यह अल्लाह के लिए अत्यन्त सरल है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | बस क्या उन लोगों ने इस पर ग़ौर नहीं किया कि ख़ुदा किस तरह मख़लूकात को पहले पहल पैदा करता है और फिर उसको दोबारा पैदा करेगा ये तो ख़ुदा के नज़दीक बहुत आसान बात है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्या इन झुठलाने वालों ने नहीं देखा कि किस तरह अल्लाह शुरुआत में सृष्टि की रचना करता है, फिर उसके विनाश के बाद उसे पुनर्स्थापित करेगा?! निःसंदेह यह अल्लाह के लिए अति सरल है। क्योंकि वह सर्वशक्तिमान है, उसे कोई भी चीज़ असमर्थ नहीं कर सकती। |

| عَرَبِي | قُل سيروا فِي الأَرضِ فَانظُروا كَيفَ بَدَأَ الخَلقَ ۚ ثُمَّ اللَّهُ يُنشِئُ النَّشأَةَ الآخِرَةَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلىٰ كُلِّ شَيءٍ قَديرٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qul seeroo fee alardi faonthuroo kayfa badaa alkhalqa thumma Allahu yunshio alnnashata alakhirata inna Allaha AAala kulli shayin qadeerun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qul seeroo fil ardi fanzuroo kaifa baa al khalqa summal laahu yunshi''un nash atal Aakhirah; innal laaha 'alaa kulli shai'in Qadeer |
| English (Pickthall) | Say (O Muhammad): Travel in the land and see how He originated creation, then Allah bringeth forth the later growth. Lo! Allah is Able to do all things. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Say: "Travel through the earth and see how Allah did originate creation; so will Allah produce a later creation: for Allah has power over all things. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how He began creation. Then Allah will produce the final creation. Indeed Allah, over all things, is competent." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger, say to these deniers of the resurrection: “Travel through the land and think how Allah began the creation. Then Allah will restore people after their death to the second life for the resurrection and reckoning. Allah is Powerful over everything; nothing is outside His ability, so He is able to resurrect people just as He created them in the first place”. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | कहो कि, "धरती में चलो-फिरो और देखो कि उसने किस प्रकार पैदाइश का आरम्भ किया। फिर अल्लाह पश्चात्वर्ती उठान उठाएगा। निश्चय ही अल्लाह को हर चीज़ की सामर्थ्य प्राप्त है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (ऐ रसूल इन लोगों से) तुम कह दो कि ज़रा रुए ज़मीन पर चलफिर कर देखो तो कि ख़ुदा ने किस तरह पहले पहल मख़लूक को पैदा किया फिर (उसी तरह वही) ख़ुदा (क़यामत के दिन) आखिरी पैदाइश पैदा करेगा- बेशक ख़ुदा हर चीज़ पर क़ादिर है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल!) आप मृत्यु के पश्चात पुनः जीवित कर उठाए जाने को झुठलाने वालों से कह दें : धरती में चलो-फिरो, फिर चिंतन करो कि अल्लाह ने किस प्रकार उत्पत्ति का आरंभ किया। फिर अल्लाह ही लोगों को उनकी मृत्यु के बाद ह़श्र के मैदान में एकत्र करने तथा हिसाब-किताब के लिए दूसरा जीवन प्रदान करेगा। निःसंदेह अल्लाह प्रत्येक वस्तु पर सर्वशक्तिमान है, उसे कोई भी वस्तु असमर्थ नहीं कर सकती। अतः वह लोगों को पुनः जीवित कर उठाने में असमर्थ नहीं हो सकता जिस प्रकार कि वह लोगों को पहली बार पैदा करने में असमर्थ नहीं हुआ। |
| Ayah 21 |
| عَرَبِي | يُعَذِّبُ مَن يَشاءُ وَيَرحَمُ مَن يَشاءُ ۖ وَإِلَيهِ تُقلَبونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | YuAAaththibu man yashao wayarhamu man yashao wailayhi tuqlaboona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yu'azzibu many yashaaa'u wa yarhamu many yashaaa'; wa ilaihi tuqlaboon |
| English (Pickthall) | He punisheth whom He will and showeth mercy unto whom He will, and unto Him ye will be turned. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "He punishes whom He pleases, and He grants Mercy to whom He pleases, and towards Him are ye turned. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | He punishes whom He wills and has mercy upon whom He wills, and to Him you will be returned. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | He punishes whom He wishes from His creation through His justice, and He has mercy on whom He wishes amongst His creation through His grace. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वह जिसे चाहे यातना दे और जिसपर चाहे दया करे। और उसी की ओर तुम्हें पलटकर जाना है।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जिस पर चाहे अज़ाब करे और जिस पर चाहे रहम करे और तुम लोग (सब के सब) उसी की तरफ लौटाए जाओगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वह अपनी सृष्टि में से जिसे चाहता है अपने न्याय से दंड देता है, तथा अपनी सृष्टि में से जिसपर चाहता है अपनी कृपा से दया करता है। और तुम क़ियामत के दिन हिसाब-किताब के लिए केवल उसी की ओर लौटाए जाओगे, जब वह तुम्हें तुम्हारी कब्रों से जीवित उठाएगा। |
| Ayah 22 |
| عَرَبِي | وَما أَنتُم بِمُعجِزينَ فِي الأَرضِ وَلا فِي السَّماءِ ۖ وَما لَكُم مِن دونِ اللَّهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلا نَصيرٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wama antum bimuAAjizeena fee alardi wala fee alssamai wama lakum min dooni Allahi min waliyyin wala naseerin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa maaa antum bimu'jizeena fil ardi wa laa fissamaaa'i wa maa lakum min doonil laahi minw waliyyinw wa laa naseer |
| English (Pickthall) | Ye cannot escape (from Him) in the earth or in the sky, and beside Allah there is for you no friend or helper. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "Not on earth nor in heaven will ye be able (fleeing) to frustrate (his Plan), nor have ye, besides Allah, any protector or helper." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And you will not cause failure [to Allah] upon the earth or in the heaven. And you have not other than Allah any protector or any helper. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | You are not going to escape your Lord, nor can you flee from His punishment on earth or in the heavens. You do not have besides Allah any helper to take care of your affairs nor do you have any assistant to lift His punishment from you. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | तुम न तो धरती में क़ाबू से बाहर निकल सकते हो और न आकाश में। और अल्लाह से हटकर न तो तुम्हारा कोई मित्र है और न सहायक |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और न तो तुम ज़मीन ही में ख़ुदा को ज़ेर कर सकते हो और न आसमान में और ख़ुदा के सिवा न तो तुम्हारा कोई सरपरस्त है और न मददगार |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और तुम धरती या आकाश में कहीं भी, न अपने रब से बचकर निकल सकते हो, और न ही उसकी यातना से भागने में सफल हो सकते हो। तथा अल्लाह के सिवा तुम्हारा कोई संरक्षक नहीं, जो तुम्हारे मामले को संभाल सके, और न अल्लाह के सिवा तुम्हारा कोई सहायक है, जो तुमसे उसकी यातना को दूर कर सके। |
| Ayah 23 |
| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ كَفَروا بِآياتِ اللَّهِ وَلِقائِهِ أُولٰئِكَ يَئِسوا مِن رَحمَتي وَأُولٰئِكَ لَهُم عَذابٌ أَليمٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena kafaroo biayati Allahi waliqaihi olaika yaisoo min rahmatee waolaika lahum AAathabun aleemun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena kafaroo bi Aayaatil laahi wa liqaaa'iheee ulaaa'ika ya'isoo mir rahmatee wa ulaaa'ika lahum 'azaabun aleem |
| English (Pickthall) | Those who disbelieve in the revelations of Allah and in (their) Meeting with Him, such have no hope of My mercy. For such there is a painful doom. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who reject the Signs of Allah and the Meeting with Him (in the Hereafter),- it is they who shall despair of My Mercy: it is they who will (suffer) a most grievous Penalty. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And the ones who disbelieve in the signs of Allah and the meeting with Him - those have despaired of My mercy, and they will have a painful punishment. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who disbelieved in the verses of Allah and meeting Him on the Day of Judgment, those have lost hope in My mercy, so they will never enter paradise due to their disbelief, and those will have a painful punishment that will await them in the afterlife. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और जिन लोगों ने अल्लाह की आयतों और उससे मिलने का इनकार किया, वही लोग है जो मेरी दयालुता से निराश हुए और वही है जिनके लिए दुखद यातना है। - |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जिन लोगों ने ख़ुदा की आयतों और (क़यामत के दिन) उसके सामने हाज़िर होने से इन्कार किया मेरी रहमत से मायूस हो गए हैं और उन्हीं लोगों के वास्ते दर्दनाक अज़ाब है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और जिन लोगों ने पवित्र अल्लाह की आयतों तथा क़ियामत के दिन उससे मिलने का इनकार किया, वे हमरी दया से निराश हो चुके हैं। अतः वे अपने कुफ़्र के कारण कभी भी जन्नत में प्रवेश नहीं करेंगे। और यही लोग हैं जिनके लिए दर्दनाक यातना है, जो आख़िरत में उनकी प्रतीक्षा कर रही है। |
| Ayah 24 |
| عَرَبِي | فَما كانَ جَوابَ قَومِهِ إِلّا أَن قالُوا اقتُلوهُ أَو حَرِّقوهُ فَأَنجاهُ اللَّهُ مِنَ النّارِ ۚ إِنَّ في ذٰلِكَ لَآياتٍ لِقَومٍ يُؤمِنونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fama kana jawaba qawmihi illa an qaloo oqtuloohu aw harriqoohu faanjahu Allahu mina alnnari inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yuminoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Famaa kaana jawaaba qawmiheee illaaa an qaaluqtuloohu aw harriqoohu faanjaahul laahu minan naar; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil laqawminy yu'minoon |
| English (Pickthall) | But the answer of his folk was only that they said: "Kill him" or "Burn him." Then Allah saved him from the Fire. Lo! herein verily are portents for folk who believe. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | So naught was the answer of (Abraham's) people except that they said: "Slay him or burn him." But Allah did save him from the Fire. Verily in this are Signs for people who believe. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And the answer of Abraham's people was not but that they said, "Kill him or burn him," but Allah saved him from the fire. Indeed in that are signs for a people who believe. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The only answer Abraham’s people gave to him - after he had instructed them to worship Allah alone and to give up the worship of idols - was that they said: Kill him or throw him into the fire in defence of your gods. But Allah saved him from the Fire. In his being saved from the fire after having been thrown into it there truly are lessons for people who have faith, because they are the one who benefit from such lessons. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | फिर उनकी क़ौम के लोगों का उत्तर इसके सिवा और कुछ न था कि उन्होंने कहा, "मार डालो उसे या जला दो उसे!" अंततः अल्लाह ने उसको आग से बचा लिया। निश्चय ही इसमें उन लोगों के लिए निशानियाँ है, जो ईमान लाएँ |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ग़रज़ इबराहीम की क़ौम के पास (इन बातों का) इसके सिवा कोई जवाब न था कि बाहम कहने लगे इसको मार डालो या जला (कर ख़ाक) कर डालो (आख़िर वह कर गुज़रे) तो ख़ुदा ने उनको आग से बचा लिया इसमें शक नहीं कि दुनियादार लोगों के वास्ते इस वाकिये में (कुदरते ख़ुदा की) बहुत सी निशानियाँ हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जब इबराहीम अलैहिस्सलाम ने अपनी जाति को केवल अल्लाह की इबादत करने तथा उसके अलावा मूर्तियों की पूजा छोड़ने का आदेश दिया, तो उनका उत्तर इसके सिवा कुछ न था कि उन्होंने कहा : अपने पूज्यों का समर्थन करने के लिए उसे मार डालो या उसे आग में फेंक दो। तो अल्लाह ने उन्हें आग से बचा लिया। निःसंदेह उनके आग में फेंके जाने के पश्चात उन्हें उससे बचा लेने में ईमान वालों के लिए बहुत-से उपदेश है, क्योंकि यही लोग हैं, जो उपदेशों से लाभ उठाते हैं। |
| Ayah 25 |
| عَرَبِي | وَقالَ إِنَّمَا اتَّخَذتُم مِن دونِ اللَّهِ أَوثانًا مَوَدَّةَ بَينِكُم فِي الحَياةِ الدُّنيا ۖ ثُمَّ يَومَ القِيامَةِ يَكفُرُ بَعضُكُم بِبَعضٍ وَيَلعَنُ بَعضُكُم بَعضًا وَمَأواكُمُ النّارُ وَما لَكُم مِن ناصِرينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waqala innama ittakhathtum min dooni Allahi awthanan mawaddata baynikum fee alhayati alddunya thumma yawma alqiyamati yakfuru baAAdukum bibaAAdin wayalAAanu baAAdukum baAAdan wamawakumu alnnaru wama lakum min nasireena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa qaala innamat takhaz tum min doonil laahi awsaanam mawaddata bainikum fil hayaatid dunyaa summa yawmal qiyaamati yakfuru ba'dukum biba 'dinw wa yal'anu ba'dukum ba'danw-wa yal'anu ba'dukum ba'danw wa maa waakumun Naaru wa maa lakum min naasireen |
| English (Pickthall) | He said: Ye have chosen only idols instead of Allah. The love between you is only in the life of the world. Then on the Day of Resurrection ye will deny each other and curse each other, and your abode will be the Fire, and ye will have no helpers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And he said: "For you, ye have taken (for worship) idols besides Allah, out of mutual love and regard between yourselves in this life; but on the Day of Judgment ye shall disown each other and curse each other: and your abode will be the Fire, and ye shall have none to help." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [Abraham] said, "You have only taken, other than Allah, idols as [a bond of] affection among you in worldly life. Then on the Day of Resurrection you will deny one another and curse one another, and your refuge will be the Fire, and you will not have any helpers." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Abraham (peace be upon him) said to his people: You have only taken idols as gods whom you worship for your mutual recognition and affection for their worship in the present life. Then, on the Day of Judgement, this mutual affection between you will end and you will disown and curse one another when you see the punishment. The fire will be the place you resort to and no one will help and protect you against Allah’s punishment, not the idols that you used to worship besides Allah and nor anyone else. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और उसने कहा, "अल्लाह से हटकर तुमने कुछ मूर्तियों को केवल सांसारिक जीवन में अपने पारस्परिक प्रेम के कारण पकड़ रखा है। फिर क़ियामत के दिन तुममें से एक-दूसरे का इनकार करेगा और तुममें से एक-दूसरे पर लानत करेगा। तुम्हारा ठौर-ठिकाना आग है और तुम्हारा कोई सहायक न होगा।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और इबराहीम ने (अपनी क़ौम से) कहा कि तुम लोगों ने ख़ुदा को छोड़कर बुतो को सिर्फ दुनिया की ज़िन्दगी में बाहम मोहब्त करने की वजह से (ख़ुदा) बना रखा है फिर क़यामत के दिन तुम में से एक का एक इनकार करेगा और एक दूसरे पर लानत करेगा और (आख़िर) तुम लोगों का ठिकाना जहन्नुम है और (उस वक्त तुम्हारा कोई भी मददगार न होगा) |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और इबराहीम अलैहिस्सलाम ने अपनी जाति से कहा : तुमने मूर्तियों को पूज्य बना लिया है, जिनकी तुम पूजा करते हो, ताकि इस दुनिया के जीवन में उनकी पूजा को एक-दूसरे को जानने और आपस में प्रेम रखने का आधार बना लो। फिर क़ियामत के दिन तुम्हारे बीच का यह प्रेम समाप्त हो जाएगा, तथा यातना को देखकर तुम एक-दूसरे से अलग हो जाओगे और एक-दूसरे को धिक्कारने लगोगे। और तुम्हारा ठिकाना जहाँ तुम शरण लोगे, आग ही है और तुम्हारे लिए कोई सहायक नहीं होंगे जो तुम्हें अल्लाह की यातना से बचा सकें, न तो तुम्हारे उन पूज्यों में से जिनकी तुम अल्लाह को छोड़कर पूजा करते हो और न ही उनके अलावा अन्य लोगों में से। |
| Ayah 26 |
| عَرَبِي | ۞ فَآمَنَ لَهُ لوطٌ ۘ وَقالَ إِنّي مُهاجِرٌ إِلىٰ رَبّي ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ العَزيزُ الحَكيمُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faamana lahu lootun waqala innee muhajirun ila rabbee innahu huwa alAAazeezu alhakeemu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa aamana lahoo Loot; wa qaala innee mauhajirun ilaa Rabbee innahoo Huwal 'Azeezul Hakeem |
| English (Pickthall) | And Lot believed him, and said: Lo! I am a fugitive unto my Lord. Lo! He, only He, is the Mighty, the Wise. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But Lut had faith in Him: He said: "I will leave home for the sake of my Lord: for He is Exalted in Might, and Wise." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And Lot believed him. [Abraham] said, "Indeed, I will emigrate to [the service of] my Lord. Indeed, He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Lot (peace be upon him) believed in him and Abraham said: I will emigrate to my Lord, to the blessed land of Levant. He is the Mighty that cannot be challenged and the one who migrates to Him will never be humiliated. He is the Wise in His planning and estimation. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | फिर लूत ने उसकी बात मानी औऱ उसने कहा, "निस्संदेह मैं अपने रब की ओर हिजरत करता हूँ। निस्संदेह वह अत्यन्त प्रभुत्वशाली, तत्वदर्शी है।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तब सिर्फ लूत इबराहीम पर ईमान लाए और इबराहीम ने कहा मै तो देस को छोड़कर अपने परवरदिगार की तरफ (जहाँ उसको मंज़ूर हो ) निकल जाऊँगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | लूत अलैहिस्सलाम उनपर ईमान ले आए। और इबराहीम अलैहिस्सलाम ने कहा : मैं अपने रब के लिए शाम की शुभ भूमि की ओर हिजरत करने वाला हूँ। निश्चय वही सब पर प्रभुत्वशाली है, जो पराजित नहीं होता और उसकी ओर हिजरत करने वाला कभी अपमानित नहीं होता। वह अपनी नियति और प्रबंधन में हिकमत वाला है। |
| Ayah 27 |
| عَرَبِي | وَوَهَبنا لَهُ إِسحاقَ وَيَعقوبَ وَجَعَلنا في ذُرِّيَّتِهِ النُّبُوَّةَ وَالكِتابَ وَآتَيناهُ أَجرَهُ فِي الدُّنيا ۖ وَإِنَّهُ فِي الآخِرَةِ لَمِنَ الصّالِحينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wawahabna lahu ishaqa wayaAAqooba wajaAAalna fee thurriyyatihi alnnubuwwata waalkitaba waataynahu ajrahu fee alddunya wainnahu fee alakhirati lamina alssaliheena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa wahabnaa lahoo Ishaaqa wa Ya'Qooba wa ja'alnaa fee zurriyyatihin Nubuwwata wal Kitaaba wa aatainaahu ajrahoo fid dunyaa wa innahoo fil aakhirati laminas saaliheen |
| English (Pickthall) | And We bestowed on him Isaac and Jacob, and We established the prophethood and the Scripture among his seed, and We gave him his reward in the world, and lo! in the Hereafter he verily is among the righteous. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And We gave (Abraham) Isaac and Jacob, and ordained among his progeny Prophethood and Revelation, and We granted him his reward in this life; and he was in the Hereafter (of the company) of the Righteous. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We gave to Him Isaac and Jacob and placed in his descendants prophethood and scripture. And We gave him his reward in this world, and indeed, he is in the Hereafter among the righteous. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I gave Abraham Isaac and his son, Jacob. I placed prophethood and revealed scriptures from Allah among his offspring. I gave him the rewards of his steadfastness on the truth in this world, and in the life to come he will be given the reward of the righteous. What he was given in the world will not reduce the noble reward that has been prepared for him in the afterlife. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और हमने उसे इसहाक़ और याक़ूब प्रदान किए और उसकी संतति में नुबूवत (पैग़म्बरी) और किताब का सिलसिला जारी किया और हमने उसे संसार में भी उसका अच्छा प्रतिदान प्रदान किया। और निश्चय ही वह आख़िरत में अच्छे लोगों में से होगा |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | इसमे शक नहीं कि वह ग़ालिब (और) हिकमत वाला है और हमने इबराहीम को इसहाक़ (सा बेटा) और याक़ूब (सा पोता) अता किया और उनकी नस्ल में पैग़म्बरी और किताब क़रार दी और हम न इबराहीम को दुनिया में भी अच्छा बदला अता किया और वह तो आख़ेरत में भी यक़ीनी नेको कारों से हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और हमने इबराहीम को इसह़ाक़ तथा उनका पुत्र याक़ूब प्रदान किया। और उनकी संतान में नुबुव्वत तथा अल्लाह की ओर से अवतरित होने वाले ग्रंथ रख दिए। और हमने उन्हें उनके सत्य पर धैर्य रखने का प्रतिफल दुनिया में उनकी संतान को सदाचारी बनाने और अच्छी प्रशंसा के द्वारा दिया, तथा आख़िरत में उन्हें सदाचारियों का प्रतिफल मिलेगा। दुनिया में जो कुछ उन्हें दिया गया, वह आख़िरत में उनके लिए तैयार किए गए उदार प्रतिफल में कोई कमी नहीं करेगा। |
| Ayah 28 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلوطًا إِذ قالَ لِقَومِهِ إِنَّكُم لَتَأتونَ الفاحِشَةَ ما سَبَقَكُم بِها مِن أَحَدٍ مِنَ العالَمينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walootan ith qala liqawmihi innakum latatoona alfahishata ma sabaqakum biha min ahadin mina alAAalameena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa Lootan iz qaala liqawmiheee innakum laatoonal faahishata maa sabaqakum bihaa min ahadim minal 'aalameen |
| English (Pickthall) | And Lot! (Remember) when he said unto his folk: Lo! ye commit lewdness such as no creature did before you. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And (remember) Lut: behold, he said to his people: "Ye do commit lewdness, such as no people in Creation (ever) committed before you. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [mention] Lot, when he said to his people, "Indeed, you commit such immorality as no one has preceded you with from among the worlds. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger, remember the story of Lot when he said to his people: You are committing a terrible sin that was not perpetrated before you by anyone in the whole world. You are the first to innovate this sin that goes against the sound nature of man. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और हमने लूत को भेजा, जबकि उसने अपनी क़ौम के लोगों से कहा, "तुम जो वह अश्लील कर्म करते हो, जिसे तुमसे पहले सारे संसार में किसी ने नहीं किया |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और (ऐ रसूल!) लूत को याद करें, जिस समय उन्होंने अपने समुदाय से कहा : निश्चय तुम ऐसा घृणित पाप करते हो, जो तुमसे पहले दुनिया वालों में से किसी ने भी नहीं किया। अतः तुम इस कुकर्म का आविष्कार करने वाले पहले लोग हो, जिससे विशुद्ध प्रकृति घृणा करती है। |

| عَرَبِي | أَئِنَّكُم لَتَأتونَ الرِّجالَ وَتَقطَعونَ السَّبيلَ وَتَأتونَ في ناديكُمُ المُنكَرَ ۖ فَما كانَ جَوابَ قَومِهِ إِلّا أَن قالُوا ائتِنا بِعَذابِ اللَّهِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ الصّادِقينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ainnakum latatoona alrrijala wataqtaAAoona alssabeela watatoona fee nadeekumu almunkara fama kana jawaba qawmihi illa an qaloo itina biAAathabi Allahi in kunta mina alssadiqeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | A'innakum lataatoonar rijaala wa taqta'oonas sabeela wa taatoona fee naadekumul munkara famaa kaana jawaaba qawmiheee illaaa an qaalu' tinaaa bi'azaabil laahi in kunta minas saadiqeen |
| English (Pickthall) | For come ye not in unto males, and cut ye not the road (for travellers), and commit ye not abomination in your meetings? But the answer of his folk was only that they said: Bring Allah's doom upon us if thou art a truthteller! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "Do ye indeed approach men, and cut off the highway?- and practise wickedness (even) in your councils?" But his people gave no answer but this: they said: "Bring us the Wrath of Allah if thou tellest the truth." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, you approach men and obstruct the road and commit in your meetings [every] evil." And the answer of his people was not but they said, "Bring us the punishment of Allah, if you should be of the truthful." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Do you approach men from their backsides to satisfy your lust, cut off the way for travellers who cannot pass by you for fear of the obscene sin that you perpetrate, commit evil acts in your gatherings such as nudity and harm those who pass by with words and actions? But the only response from his people after he prohibited them from doing evil acts was that they said to him: Bring upon us Allah's punishment that you threaten us with, if you are truthful in your claim. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | क्या तुम पुरुषों के पास जाते हो और बटमारी करते हो औऱ अपनी मजलिस में बुरा कर्म करते हो?" फिर उसकी क़ौम के लोगों का उत्तर बस यही था कि उन्होंने कहा, "ले आ हमपर अल्लाह की यातना, यदि तू सच्चा है।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तुम लोग (औरतों को छोड़कर कज़ाए शहवत के लिए) मर्दों की तरफ गिरते हो और (मुसाफिरों की) रहजनी करते हो और तुम लोग अपनी महफिलों में बुरी बुरी हरकते करते हो तो (इन सब बातों का) लूत की क़ौम के पास इसके सिवा कोई जवाब न था कि वह लोग कहने लगे कि भला अगर तुम सच्चे हो तो हम पर ख़ुदा का अज़ाब तो ले आओ |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्या तुम अपनी कामवासना की पूर्ति के लिए पुरुषों की पिछली शर्मगाह में आते हो और यात्रियों का रास्ता रोकते हो, कि वे तुम्हारे द्वारा किए जाने वाले अनैतिक कृत्य के डर से तुम्हारे पास से नहीं गुज़रते हैं, तथा तुम अपनी सभाओं में नग्नता और अपने पास से गुज़रने वालों को वचन एवं कर्म द्वारा कष्ट पहुँचाने जैसे निंदनीय कार्य करते हो? तो लूत अलैहिस्सलाम के उन्हें बुराई करने से मना करने के बाद उनका उत्तर इसके सिवा कुछ नहीं था कि उन्होंने कहा : तुम हमपर अल्लाह की वह यातना ले आओ, जिसकी तुम हमें धमकी देते हो, यदि तुम अपने दावे में सच्चे हो। |

| عَرَبِي | قالَ رَبِّ انصُرني عَلَى القَومِ المُفسِدينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qala rabbi onsurnee AAala alqawmi almufsideena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qaala Rabbin surnee 'alal qawmil mufsideen |
| English (Pickthall) | He said: My Lord! Give me victory over folk who work corruption. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | He said: "O my Lord! help Thou me against people who do mischief!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | He said, "My Lord, support me against the corrupting people." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Lot (peace be upon him) prayed to His Lord after his people were obstinate and had disparagingly demanded that the punishment be sent down on them: O my Lord! Help me against these people who spread corruption on earth by the disbelief and shameful sins that they promulgate. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | लूत अलैहिस्सलाम ने अपनी जाति के हठ तथा अल्लाह की यातना को हलके में लेते हुए उसके लाने की माँग करने बाद, अपने रब से प्रार्थना करते हुए कहा : ऐ मेरे रब! उन लोगों के विरुद्ध मेरी सहायता कर, जो कुफ़्र और निंदनीय पाप फैलाकर धरती में बिगाड़ पैदा करने वाले हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | وَلَمّا جاءَت رُسُلُنا إِبراهيمَ بِالبُشرىٰ قالوا إِنّا مُهلِكو أَهلِ هٰذِهِ القَريَةِ ۖ إِنَّ أَهلَها كانوا ظالِمينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walamma jaat rusuluna ibraheema bialbushra qaloo inna muhlikoo ahli hathihi alqaryati inna ahlaha kanoo thalimeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa lammaa jaaa'at Rusulunaaa Ibraaheema bil bushraa qaalooo innaa muhlikoo ahli haazihil qaryati inna ahlahaa kaanoo zaalimeen |
| English (Pickthall) | And when Our messengers brought Abraham the good news, they said: Lo! we are about to destroy the people of that township, for its people are wrong-doers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | When Our Messengers came to Abraham with the good news, they said: "We are indeed going to destroy the people of this township: for truly they are (addicted to) crime." |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (उस वक्त अज़ाब की तैयारी हुई) और जब हमारे भेजे हुए फ़रिश्ते इबराहीम के पास (बुढ़ापे में बेटे की) खुशखबरी लेकर आए तो (इबराहीम से) बोले हम लोग अनक़रीब इस गाँव के रहने वालों को हलाक करने वाले हैं (क्योंकि) इस बस्ती के रहने वाले यक़ीनी (बड़े) सरकश है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और जब हमारे भेजे हुए फ़रिश्ते इबराहीम को इसहाक़ की तथा उनके पश्चात उनके पुत्र याक़ूब की शुभ सूचना देने के लिए आए, तो उन्होंने उनसे कहा : हम लूत की जाति की बस्ती 'सदूम' के लोगों को विनष्ट करने वाले हैं; क्योंकि इसके लोग अनैतिकता का कार्य करने के कारण अत्याचारी रहे हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | قالَ إِنَّ فيها لوطًا ۚ قالوا نَحنُ أَعلَمُ بِمَن فيها ۖ لَنُنَجِّيَنَّهُ وَأَهلَهُ إِلَّا امرَأَتَهُ كانَت مِنَ الغابِرينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qala inna feeha lootan qaloo nahnu aAAlamu biman feeha lanunajjiyannahu waahlahu illa imraatahu kanat mina alghabireena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qaala inna feeha Lootaa; qaaloo nahnu a'lamu biman feehaa lanunajjjiyannahoo wa ahlahooo illam ra atahoo kaanat minal ghaabireen |
| English (Pickthall) | He said: Lo! Lot is there. They said: We are best aware of who is there. We are to deliver him and his household, all save his wife, who is of those who stay behind. |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | Abraham (peace be upon him) said to the angels: But Lot is in that town whose people you wish to destroy and he is not one of the wrongdoers. The angels said: I know very well who is there. I will save him and his household from the destruction that will be sent down on the people of the town, except for his wife. She will be one of those who will be left behind, and we will destroy her with the rest of them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उसने कहाँ, "वहाँ तो लूत मौजूद है।" वे बोले, "जो कोई भी वहाँ है, हम भली-भाँति जानते है। हम उसको और उसके घरवालों को बचा लेंगे, सिवाय उसकी स्त्री के। वह पीछे रह जानेवालों में से है।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (ये सुन कर) इबराहीम ने कहा कि इस बस्ती में तो लूत भी है वह फरिश्ते बोले जो लोग इस बस्ती में हैं हम लोग उनसे खूब वाक़िफ़ हैं हम तो उनको और उनके लड़के बालों को यक़ीनी बचा लेंगे मगर उनकी बीबी को वह (अलबता) पीछे रह जाने वालों में होगीं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | इबराहीम अलैहिस्सलाम ने फ़रिश्तों से कहा : इस बस्ती में, जिसके लोगों को तुम विनष्ट करना चाहते हो, लूत (भी) हैं और वह अत्याचारियों में से नहीं हैं। फ़रिश्तों ने कहा : हम उसे अधिक जानने वाले हैं, जो उसमें है। हम उन्हें और उनके परिवार को उस विनाश से अवश्य बचा लेंगे जो बस्ती के लोगों पर उतरने वाला है, सिवाय उनकी स्त्री के, जो विनाश होने वाले शेष लोगों में से है। अतः हम उसे (भी) उनके साथ नष्ट कर देंगे। |

| عَرَبِي | وَلَمّا أَن جاءَت رُسُلُنا لوطًا سيءَ بِهِم وَضاقَ بِهِم ذَرعًا وَقالوا لا تَخَف وَلا تَحزَن ۖ إِنّا مُنَجّوكَ وَأَهلَكَ إِلَّا امرَأَتَكَ كانَت مِنَ الغابِرينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walamma an jaat rusuluna lootan seea bihim wadaqa bihim tharAAan waqaloo la takhaf wala tahzan inna munajjooka waahlaka illa imraataka kanat mina alghabireena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa lammaaa an jaaa'at Rusulunaa Lootan seee'a bihim wa daaqa bihim zar'anw wa qaaloo laa takhaf wa laa tahzan innaa munajjooka wa ahlaka illam ra ataka kaanat minal ghaabireen |
| English (Pickthall) | And when Our messengers came unto Lot, he was troubled upon their account, for he could not protect them; but they said: Fear not, nor grieve! Lo! we are to deliver thee and thy household, (all) save thy wife, who is of those who stay behind. |

The angels said to him: Do not fear, for your people will not be able to harm you and do not grieve over the news of their destruction that I give you. I will certainly save you and your household from destruction, except for your wife. She will be one of those who will be left behind, and we will destroy her with the rest of them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जब यह हुआ कि हमारे भेजे हुए लूत के पास आए तो उनका आना उसे नागवार हुआ और उनके प्रति दिल को तंग पाया। किन्तु उन्होंने कहा, "डरो मत और न शोकाकुल हो। हम तुम्हें और तुम्हारे घरवालों को बचा लेंगे सिवाय तुम्हारी स्त्री के। वह पीछे रह जानेवालों में से है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जब हमारे भेजे हुए फरिश्ते लूत के पास आए लूत उनके आने से ग़मग़ीन हुए और उन (की मेहमानी) से दिल तंग हुए (क्योंकि वह नौजवान खूबसूरत मर्दों की सरूत में आए थे) फरिश्तों ने कहा आप ख़ौफ न करें और कुढ़े नही हम आपको और आपके लड़के बालों को बचा लेगें मगर आपकी बीबी (क्योंकि वह पीछे रह जाने वालो से होगी) |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और जब लूत अलैहिस्सलाम की जाति को विनष्ट करने के लिए हमारे भेजे हुए फ़रिश्ते लूत अलैहिस्सलाम के पास आए, तो वह उनपर अपने समुदाय के दुराचरण के डर से उनके आने से दुःखी और ग़मगीन हो गए। क्योंकि फ़रिश्ते पुरुषों के रूप में आए थे और उनके समुदाय वाले कामवासना के लिए स्त्रियों के बजाय पुरुषों के पास आते थे। फ़रिश्तों ने उनसे कहा : मत डरो, तुम्हारी जाति के लोग तुम्हें कोई हानि नहीं पहुँचा सकते। तथा जो कुछ हमने तुम्हें उनके विनाश के विषय में बतलाया है, उसपर शोक न करें। निःसंदेह हम तुम्हें तथा तुम्हारे परिवार को विनाश से बचा लेंगे, सिवाय तुम्हारी स्त्री के, जो विनाश के लिए शेष रह जाने वालों में से है। अतः हम उसे (भी) उनके साथ नष्ट कर देंगे। |

| عَرَبِي | إِنّا مُنزِلونَ عَلىٰ أَهلِ هٰذِهِ القَريَةِ رِجزًا مِنَ السَّماءِ بِما كانوا يَفسُقونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna munziloona AAala ahli hathihi alqaryati rijzan mina alssamai bima kanoo yafsuqoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innaa munziloona 'alaaa ahli haazihil qaryati rijzam minas samaaa'i bimaa kaanoo yafsuqoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! We are about to bring down upon the folk of this township a fury from the sky because they are evil-livers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "For we are going to bring down on the people of this township a Punishment from heaven, because they have been wickedly rebellious." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, we will bring down on the people of this city punishment from the sky because they have been defiantly disobedient." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I will send a punishment from the sky down on the people of this town that used to do obscene acts, which is stones of baked clay, as a punishment for their leaving out following Allah by the perpetration of that evil and immoral act, which was satisfaction of lust with men instead of women. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | निश्चय ही हम इस बस्ती के लोगों पर आकाश से एक यातना उतारनेवाले है, इस कारण कि वे बन्दगी की सीमा से निकलते रहे है।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | हम यक़ीनन इसी बस्ती के रहने वालों पर चूँकि ये लोग बदकारियाँ करते रहे एक आसमानी अज़ाब नाज़िल करने वाले हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हम इस बस्ती वालों पर, जो कुकर्म किया करते थे, आकाश से एक यातना उतारने वाले हैं, जो कि पके हुए गर्म पत्थरों की यातना है; यह उनके घृणित कुकर्म करके अल्लाह की अवज्ञा करने पर सज़ा के रूप में है, वह कुकर्म उनका महिलाओं के बजाय पुरुषों के साथ यौन संबंध बनाना है। |
| Ayah 35 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَقَد تَرَكنا مِنها آيَةً بَيِّنَةً لِقَومٍ يَعقِلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaqad tarakna minha ayatan bayyinatan liqawmin yaAAqiloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laqat taraknaa min haaa aayatam baiyinatal liqawminy ya'qiloon |
| English (Pickthall) | And verily of that We have left a clear sign for people who have sense. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And We have left thereof an evident Sign, for any people who (care to) understand. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We have certainly left of it a sign as clear evidence for a people who use reason. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I left some of this town that I destroyed as a clear sign for those who use their intellect for sound reasoning, because they are the ones who take a lesson from the signs. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और हमने उस बस्ती से प्राप्त होनेवाली एक खुली निशानी उन लोगों के लिए छोड़ दी है, जो बुद्धि से काम लेना चाहे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और हमने यक़ीनी उस (उलटी हुई बस्ती) में से समझदार लोगों के वास्ते (इबरत की) एक वाज़ेए व रौशन निशानी बाक़ी रखी है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निश्चय हमने इस बस्ती से, जिसे हमने मिटा दिया, उन लोगों के लिए एक स्पष्ट निशानी छोड़ दी, जो समझबूझ रखते हैं; क्योंकि वही लोग हैं जो निशानियों से सीख ग्रहण करते हैं। |
| Ayah 36 |
| عَرَبِي | وَإِلىٰ مَديَنَ أَخاهُم شُعَيبًا فَقالَ يا قَومِ اعبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَارجُوا اليَومَ الآخِرَ وَلا تَعثَوا فِي الأَرضِ مُفسِدينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waila madyana akhahum shuAAayban faqala ya qawmi oAAbudoo Allaha waorjoo alyawma alakhira wala taAAthaw fee alardi mufsideena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa ilaa Madyana akhaahum Shu'ayban faqaala yaa qawmi'-budul laaha warjul yawmal aakhira wa laa ta'saw fil ardi mufsideen |
| English (Pickthall) | And unto Midian We sent Shu'eyb, their brother. He said: O my people! Serve Allah, and look forward to the Last Day, and do not evil, making mischief, in the earth. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | To the Madyan (people) (We sent) their brother Shu'aib. Then he said: "O my people! serve Allah, and fear the Last Day: nor commit evil on the earth, with intent to do mischief." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And to Madyan [We sent] their brother Shu'ayb, and he said, "O my people, worship Allah and expect the Last Day and do not commit abuse on the earth, spreading corruption." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I sent to the people of Madyan their brother in lineage, Shu‘ayb (peace be upon him). He said: My people, worship Allah alone, and have hope by your worshipping Him for reward on the Last Day. Do not spread corruption on earth by committing and spreading sins. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (हमने) मदियन के रहने वालों के पास उनके भाई शुएब को पैग़म्बर बनाकर भेजा उन्होंने (अपनी क़ौम से) कहा ऐ मेरी क़ौम ख़ुदा की इबादत करो और रोज़े आखेरत की उम्मीद रखो और रुए ज़मीन में फ़साद न फैलाते फिरो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और हमने मदयन की ओर उनके नसबी भाई शुऐब अलैहिस्सलाम को भेजा, तो उन्होंने कहा : ऐ मेरी जाति के लोगो! अकेले अल्लाह की इबादत करो और उसकी इबादत करके अंतिम दिन के प्रतिफल की आशा रखो, तथा पाप करके और उसे फैलाकर धरती में बिगाड़ न पैदा करो। |
| Ayah 37 |
| عَرَبِي | فَكَذَّبوهُ فَأَخَذَتهُمُ الرَّجفَةُ فَأَصبَحوا في دارِهِم جاثِمينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fakaththaboohu faakhathathumu alrrajfatu faasbahoo fee darihim jathimeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fakazzaboohu fa akhazat humur rajfatu fa asbahoo fee daarihim jaasimeen |
| English (Pickthall) | But they denied him, and the dreadful earthquake took them, and morning found them prostrate in their dwelling place. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But they rejected him: Then the mighty Blast seized them, and they lay prostrate in their homes by the morning. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But they denied him, so the earthquake seized them, and they became within their home [corpses] fallen prone. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | His people rejected him and so the earthquake struck them. When morning came, they were laying dead in their homes, and they were motionless. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | किन्तु उन्होंने उसे झुठला दिया। अन्ततः भूकम्प ने उन्हें आ लिया। और वे अपने घरों में औंधे पड़े रह गए |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो उन लोगों ने शुऐब को झुठलाया पस ज़लज़ले (भूचाल) ने उन्हें ले डाला- तो वह लोग अपने घरों में औंधे ज़ानू के बल पड़े रह गए |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | लेकिन उनके समुदाय ने उनको झुठला दिया। अंततः भूकंप ने उनको आ लिया और वे अपने घरों में अपने मुँह के बल ऐसे गिरकर पड़े रह गए कि उनके मुख मिट्टी से चिपके हुए थे, वे हिल नहीं सकते थे। |
| Ayah 38 |
| عَرَبِي | وَعادًا وَثَمودَ وَقَد تَبَيَّنَ لَكُم مِن مَساكِنِهِم ۖ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيطانُ أَعمالَهُم فَصَدَّهُم عَنِ السَّبيلِ وَكانوا مُستَبصِرينَ |

| English (Pickthall) | And (the tribes of) A'ad and Thamud! (Their fate) is manifest unto you from their (ruined and deserted) dwellings. Satan made their deeds seem fair unto them and so debarred them from the Way, though they were keen observers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | (Remember also) the 'Ad and the Thamud (people): clearly will appear to you from (the traces) of their buildings (their fate): the Evil One made their deeds alluring to them, and kept them back from the Path, though they were gifted with intelligence and skill. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [We destroyed] 'Aad and Thamud, and it has become clear to you from their [ruined] dwellings. And Satan had made pleasing to them their deeds and averted them from the path, and they were endowed with perception. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I also destroyed the tribe of 'Ad, the people of Hud, and the Thamud, the people of Salih. Signs of their destruction are clear to you - O people of Makkah - by what is left of their dwelling by Hijr (towards the Levant) and Shihr (near Hadramut). Their empty dwellings are evidence of that. Satan made their deeds of disbelief and other sins seem good to them and diverted them from the right path. They were capable of seeing truth from deviation and guidance from misguidance as their Messengers had taught them, but they chose to follow their desires instead of following guidance. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और आद और समूद को भी हमने विनष्ट किया। और उनके घरों और बस्तियों के अवशेषों से तुमपर स्पष्ट हो चुका है। शैतान ने उनके कर्मों को उनके लिए सुहाना बना दिया और उन्हें संमार्ग से रोक दिया। यद्यपि वे बड़े तीक्ष्ण स्पष्ट वाले थे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और क़ौम आद और समूद को (भी हलाक कर डाला) और (ऐ अहले मक्का) तुम को तो उनके (उजड़े हुए) घर भी (रास्ता आते जाते) मालूम हो चुके और शैतान ने उनकी नज़र में उनके कामों को अच्छा कर दिखाया था और उन्हें (सीधी) राह (चलने) से रोक दिया था हालॉकि वह बड़े होशियार थे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा हमने हूद अलैहिस्सलाम की जाति आद और सालेह अलैहिस्सलाम की जाति समूद को भी विनष्ट किया। और (ऐ मक्का वालो!) तुम्हारे लिए हिज्र तथा हज़रामौत के शिह्र नामी स्थान में उनके आवासों से यह स्पष्ट हो चुका है, जो तुम्हें उनके विनाश का संकेत देता है। चुनाँचे उनके खाली आवास इस बात की गवाही देते हैं। तथा शैतान ने उनके कुफ़्र और अन्य पापों को जिनमें वे पड़े हुए थे, उनके लिए सुंदर बना दिया और उन्हें सीधे रास्ते से हटा दिया। हालाँकि उनके रसूलों के उन्हें सिखाने के कारण वे सत्य, पथभ्रष्टता, मार्गदर्शन तथा गुमराही की समझ रखने वाले थे। लेकिन उन्होंने मार्गदर्शन के पालन पर इच्छा के पालन को चुना। |
| Ayah 39 |
| عَرَبِي | وَقارونَ وَفِرعَونَ وَهامانَ ۖ وَلَقَد جاءَهُم موسىٰ بِالبَيِّناتِ فَاستَكبَروا فِي الأَرضِ وَما كانوا سابِقينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waqaroona wafirAAawna wahamana walaqad jaahum moosa bialbayyinati faistakbaroo fee alardi wama kanoo sabiqeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa Qaaroona wa Fir'awna wa haamaana wa laqad jaaa'ahum Moosa bilbaiyinaati fastakbaroo fil ardi wa maa kaanoo saabiqeen |
| English (Pickthall) | And Korah, Pharaoh and Haman! Moses came unto them with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty), but they were boastful in the land. And they were not winners (in the race). |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | (Remember also) Qarun, Pharaoh, and Haman: there came to them Moses with Clear Signs, but they behaved with insolence on the earth; yet they could not overreach (Us). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [We destroyed] Qarun and Pharaoh and Haman. And Moses had already come to them with clear evidences, and they were arrogant in the land, but they were not outrunners [of Our punishment]. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I destroyed Qarun when he oppressed the people of Moses, by sinking him together with his property into the ground. I destroyed Pharaoh and his minister, Haman, by drowning them in the sea. Moses had brought them clear miracles indicating his truthfulness, but they behaved arrogantly in the land of Egypt and were too proud to have faith in him. They could not be saved from My punishment by escaping from Me. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और क़ारून और फ़िरऔन और हामान को हमने विनष्ट किया। मूसा उनके पास खुली निशानियाँ लेकर आया। किन्तु उन्होंने धरती में घमंड किया, हालाँकि वे हमसे निकल जानेवाले न थे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (हम ही ने) क़ारुन व फिरऔन व हामान को भी (हलाक कर डाला) हालॉकि उन लोगों के पास मूसा वाजेए व रौशन मौजिज़े लेकर आए फिर भी ये लोग रुए ज़मीन में सरकशी करते फिरे और हमसे (निकल कर) कहीं आगे न बढ़ सके |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और (जब क़ारून ने मूसा अलैहिस्सलाम की जाति पर अत्याचार किया, तो) हमने उसे तथा उसके घर को धरती में धँसाकर नाश कर दिया। तथा फ़िरऔन और उसके मंत्री हामान को समुद्र में डुबोकर नाश किया। निःसंदेह मूसा अलैहिस्सलाम उनके पास अपनी सच्चाई को दर्शाने वाली स्पष्ट निशानियाँ लेकर आए। परंतु उन लोगों ने मिस्र की भूमि में उनपर ईमान लाने से अभिमान दिखाया। और वे हमसे छूटकर हमारे दंड से बच नहीं सकते थे। |
| Ayah 40 |
| عَرَبِي | فَكُلًّا أَخَذنا بِذَنبِهِ ۖ فَمِنهُم مَن أَرسَلنا عَلَيهِ حاصِبًا وَمِنهُم مَن أَخَذَتهُ الصَّيحَةُ وَمِنهُم مَن خَسَفنا بِهِ الأَرضَ وَمِنهُم مَن أَغرَقنا ۚ وَما كانَ اللَّهُ لِيَظلِمَهُم وَلٰكِن كانوا أَنفُسَهُم يَظلِمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fakullan akhathna bithanbihi faminhum man arsalna AAalayhi hasiban waminhum man akhathathu alssayhatu waminhum man khasafna bihi alarda waminhum man aghraqna wama kana Allahu liyathlimahum walakin kanoo anfusahum yathlimoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fakullan akhaznaa bizam bihee faminhum man arsalnaa 'alaihi haasibaa; wa minhum man akhazat hus saihatu wa minhum man khasafnaa bihil arda wa minhum man aghraqnaa; wa maa kaanal laahu li yazlimahum wa laakin kaanoo anfusahum yazlimoon |
| English (Pickthall) | So We took each one in his sin; of them was he on whom We sent a hurricane, and of them was he who was overtaken by the (Awful) Cry, and of them was he whom We caused the earth to swallow, and of them was he whom We drowned. It was not for Allah to wrong them, but they wronged themselves. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Each one of them We seized for his crime: of them, against some We sent a violent tornado (with showers of stones); some were caught by a (mighty) Blast; some We caused the earth to swallow up; and some We drowned (in the waters): It was not Allah Who injured (or oppressed) them:" They injured (and oppressed) their own souls. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So each We seized for his sin; and among them were those upon whom We sent a storm of stones, and among them were those who were seized by the blast [from the sky], and among them were those whom We caused the earth to swallow, and among them were those whom We drowned. | English (Abridged Expl.) | So I seized each one of those mentioned above with My destructive punishment. Amongst them were the people of Lot on whom I sent down stones of baked clay. Amongst them were the people of Salih and the people of Shuaib who were overcome by a sudden blast. Amongst them was Qarun whom I sunk into the earth together with his property. Amongst them were the people of Noah and Pharaoh and Haman whom I destroyed by drowning. It was not Allah who wronged them by destroying them for no sin; but they wronged themselves by committing sin and thus were deserving of the punishment. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अन्ततः हमने हरेक को उसके अपने गुनाह के कारण पकड़ लिया। फिर उनमें से कुछ पर तो हमने पथराव करनेवाली वायु भेजी और उनमें से कुछ को एक प्रचंड चीत्कार न आ लिया। और उनमें से कुछ को हमने धरती में धँसा दिया। और उनमें से कुछ को हमने डूबो दिया। अल्लाह तो ऐसा न था कि उनपर ज़ुल्म करता, किन्तु वे स्वयं अपने आपपर ज़ुल्म कर रहे थे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो हमने सबको उनके गुनाह की सज़ा में ले डाला चुनांन्चे उनमे से बाज़ तो वह थे जिन पर हमने पत्थर वाली ऑंधी भेजी और बाज़ उनमें से वह थे जिन को एक सख्त चिंघाड़ ने ले डाला और बाज़ उनमें से वह थे जिनको हमने ज़मीन मे धॅसा दिया और बाज़ उनमें से वह थे जिन्हें हमने डुबो मारा और ये बात नहीं कि ख़ुदा ने उन पर ज़ुल्म किया हो बल्कि (सच युं है कि) ये लोग ख़ुद (ख़ुदा की नाफ़रमानी करके) आप अपने ऊपर ज़ुल्म करते रहे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अतः हमने उक्त समुदायों में से प्रत्येक को अपनी विनाशकारी यातना के द्वारा पकड़ लिया। उनमें लूत के समुदाय के लोग थे, जिनपर हमने ताबड़-तोड़ कंकरीले पत्थर बरसाए, उनमें सालेह के समुदाय और शुऐब के समुदाय थे, जिन्हें चीख ने पकड़ लिया, उनमें क़ारून था जिसे हमने उसके घर समेत धरती में धँसा दिया, तथा उनमें नूह के समुदाय के लोग, फ़िरऔन और हामान भी थे, जिन्हें हमने डुबो कर विनष्ट कर दिया। अल्लाह ऐसा न था कि उन्हें बिना पाप के नष्ट करके उन पर अत्याचार करे, परंतु वे पाप करके स्वयं अपने आपपर अत्याचार कर रहे थे, इसलिए वे दंड के पात्र थे। |
| Ayah 41 |
| عَرَبِي | مَثَلُ الَّذينَ اتَّخَذوا مِن دونِ اللَّهِ أَولِياءَ كَمَثَلِ العَنكَبوتِ اتَّخَذَت بَيتًا ۖ وَإِنَّ أَوهَنَ البُيوتِ لَبَيتُ العَنكَبوتِ ۖ لَو كانوا يَعلَمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Mathalu allatheena ittakhathoo min dooni Allahi awliyaa kamathali alAAankabooti ittakhathat baytan wainna awhana albuyooti labaytu alAAankabooti law kanoo yaAAlamoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Masalul lazeenat takhazoo min doonil laahi awliyaaa'a kamasalil 'ankaboot, ittakhazat baitaa; wa inna awhanal buyooti la baitul 'ankaboot; law kaanoo ya'lamoon |
| English (Pickthall) | The likeness of those who choose other patrons than Allah is as the likeness of the spider when she taketh unto herself a house, and lo! the frailest of all houses is the spider's house, if they but knew. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The parable of those who take protectors other than Allah is that of the spider, who builds (to itself) a house; but truly the flimsiest of houses is the spider's house;- if they but knew. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | The example of those who take allies other than Allah is like that of the spider who takes a home. And indeed, the weakest of homes is the home of the spider, if they only knew. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The example of the idolaters who took idols whom they worshipped other than Allah in the hope that they will benefit them or intercede for them is like that of a spider that builds a house to protect it from heat and cold and from an assault against it. The frailest of all houses is the spider’s as it does not ward off any cold nor prevent any heat. Similarly, their idols will not benefit nor harm nor intercede. If the idolaters knew that, they would not have taken idols that they worship besides Allah. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जिन लोगों ने अल्लाह से हटकर अपने दूसरे संरक्षक बना लिए है उनकी मिसाल मकड़ी जैसी है, जिसने अपना एक घर बनाया, और यह सच है कि सब घरों से कमज़ोर घर मकड़ी का घर ही होता है। क्या ही अच्छा होता कि वे जानते! |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जिन लोगों ने ख़ुदा के सिवा दूसरे कारसाज़ बना रखे हैं उनकी मसल उस मकड़ी की सी है जिसने (अपने ख्याल नाक़िस में) एक घर बनाया और उसमें तो शक ही नहीं कि तमाम घरों से बोदा घर मकड़ी का होता है मगर ये लोग (इतना भी) जानते हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उन मुश्रिकों का उदाहरण, जो अल्लाह के अलावा मूर्तियाँ बनाकर उनके लाभ या उनकी सिफारिश की आशा में उनकी पूजा करते हैं, मकड़ी के उदाहरण के समान है, जिसने एक घर बनाया ताकि उसे आक्रमण से बचाए। हालाँकि सब घरों से कमज़ोर घर मकड़ी का घर है, इसलिए वह उसे शत्रु से सुरक्षा प्रदान नहीं करता। यही हाल उनकी मूर्तियों का है, वे न लाभ पहुँचाती हैं, न हानि और न ही सिफ़ारिश कर सकती हैं। यदि मुश्रिक लोग इसे जानते होते, तो वे मूर्तियाँ बनाकर अल्लाह के सिवा उनकी पूजा नहीं करते। |
| Ayah 42 |
| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَعلَمُ ما يَدعونَ مِن دونِهِ مِن شَيءٍ ۚ وَهُوَ العَزيزُ الحَكيمُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna Allaha yaAAlamu ma yadAAoona min doonihi min shayin wahuwa alAAazeezu alhakeemu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innal laaha ya'lamu maa yad'oona min doonihee min shai'; wa Huwal 'Azeezul Hakeem |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! Allah knoweth what thing they invoke instead of Him. He is the Mighty, the Wise. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Verily Allah doth know of (every thing) whatever that they call upon besides Him: and He is Exalted (in power), Wise. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, Allah knows whatever thing they call upon other than Him. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Allah, may He be glorified, knows what they worship besides Him. Nothing of that is hidden from Him. He is the Mighty Who cannot be challenged and the Wise in His creation, estimation and planning. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निश्चय पवित्र एवं सर्वोच्च अल्लाह जनता है जिसे वे उसके अलावा पूजते हैं। उसमें से कुछ भी उससे छिपा नहीं है। तथा वह सबपर प्रभुत्वशाली है जिसे पराजित नहीं किया जा सकता, अपनी रचना, नियति और प्रबंधन में पूर्ण हिकमत वाला है। |
| Ayah 43 |
| عَرَبِي | وَتِلكَ الأَمثالُ نَضرِبُها لِلنّاسِ ۖ وَما يَعقِلُها إِلَّا العالِمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Watilka alamthalu nadribuha lilnnasi wama yaAAqiluha illa alAAalimoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa tilkal amsaalu nadribuhaa linnaasi wa maa ya'qiluhaaa illal 'aalimoon |
| English (Pickthall) | As for these similitudes, We coin them for mankind, but none will grasp their meaning save the wise. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And such are the Parables We set forth for mankind, but only those understand them who have knowledge. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And these examples We present to the people, but none will understand them except those of knowledge. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | These examples that I draw for people, to awaken them and make them see the truth and guide them to it, can only be grasped in the desired manner by those who have knowledge of Allah’s law and rule. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हम इन उदाहरणों को लोगों के लिए प्रस्तुत करते हैं, ताकि उन्हें जगाया जा सके, उन्हें सच्चाई से अवगत कराया जा सके और उसकी ओर उनका मार्गदर्शन किया जा सके। और इन्हें ठीक से वही समझ सकते हैं, जो अल्लाह की शरीयत और उसकी हिकमतों को जानने वाले हैं। |
| Ayah 44 |
| عَرَبِي | خَلَقَ اللَّهُ السَّماواتِ وَالأَرضَ بِالحَقِّ ۚ إِنَّ في ذٰلِكَ لَآيَةً لِلمُؤمِنينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Khalaqa Allahu alssamawati waalarda bialhaqqi inna fee thalika laayatan lilmumineena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Khalaqal laahus samaawaati wal arda bilhaqq; inna fee zaalika la aayatal lilmu mineen |
| English (Pickthall) | Allah created the heavens and the earth with truth. Lo! therein is indeed a portent for believers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Allah created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): verily in that is a Sign for those who believe. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Allah created the heavens and the earth in truth. Indeed in that is a sign for the believers. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Allah, may He be glorified, created the heavens and He created the earth with truth. He did not create them with falsehood and He did not create them in vain. In that creation there is clear indication of Allah’s Power for those who have faith, because they are the ones who will use Allah’s creation as evidence for the Creator, may He be glorified. The disbelievers however pass by the signs in the horizons and the signs within themselves without their attention being drawn to the greatness and power of the Creator, may He be glorified. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अल्लाह ने आकाशों और धरती को सत्य के साथ पैदा किया। निश्चय ही इसमें ईमानवालों के लिए एक बड़ी निशानी है |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | पवित्र एवं सर्वोच्च अल्लाह ने आकाशों तथा धरती को सत्य के साथ पैदा किया, उसने उन्हें असत्य के साथ और व्यर्थ नहीं बनाया। निश्चय इस रचना में मोमिनों के लिए अल्लाह की शक्ति की स्पष्ट निशानी है। क्योंकि केवल ईमानवाले ही अल्लाह की सृष्टि को पवित्र सृष्टिकर्ता के अस्तित्व के लिए प्रमाण बनाते हैं। रही बात काफिरों की, तो वे क्षितिज (ब्रह्मांड) में तथा स्वंय अपने भीतर मौजूद निशानियों से यूँ ही गुज़र जाते हैं, वे सृष्टिकर्ता की महानता और उसकी क्षमता की ओर उनका ध्यान आकर्षित नहीं करती हैं। |
| Ayah 45 |
| عَرَبِي | اتلُ ما أوحِيَ إِلَيكَ مِنَ الكِتابِ وَأَقِمِ الصَّلاةَ ۖ إِنَّ الصَّلاةَ تَنهىٰ عَنِ الفَحشاءِ وَالمُنكَرِ ۗ وَلَذِكرُ اللَّهِ أَكبَرُ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يَعلَمُ ما تَصنَعونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Otlu ma oohiya ilayka mina alkitabi waaqimi alssalata inna alssalata tanha AAani alfahshai waalmunkari walathikru Allahi akbaru waAllahu yaAAlamu ma tasnaAAoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Utlu maaa oohiya ilaika mional Kitaabi wa aqimis Salaata innas Salaata tanhaa 'anil fahshaaa'i wal munkar; wa lazikrul laahi akbar; wal laahu ya'lamu maa tasna'oon |
| English (Pickthall) | Recite that which hath been inspired in thee of the Scripture, and establish worship. Lo! worship preserveth from lewdness and iniquity, but verily remembrance of Allah is more important. And Allah knoweth what ye do. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Recite what is sent of the Book by inspiration to thee, and establish regular Prayer: for Prayer restrains from shameful and unjust deeds; and remembrance of Allah is the greatest (thing in life) without doubt. And Allah knows the (deeds) that ye do. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Recite, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book and establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater. And Allah knows that which you do. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Read - O Messenger - to people what Allah has revealed to you of the Qur’ān and do the prayer in the most perfect manner. Prayer that is discharged perfectly restrains the doer from falling into sins and wrong, because it creates a light in the heart that prevents the perpetration of sins and guides the person to doing righteous deeds. The remembrance of Allah is greater than and superior to every thing. Allah knows everything you are doing. None of your actions are hidden from him and He will recompense you for them. If they are good the recompense will be good and if they are evil the recompense will be evil. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल!) आप लोगों के समक्ष उस क़ुरआन को पढ़ें, जिसकी अल्लाह ने आपकी ओर वह़्य की है, तथा सबसे पूर्ण तरीके से नमाज़ अदा करें। बेशक पूर्ण विधि के साथ पढ़ी जाने वाली नमाज़ उसके पढ़ने वाले को पापों तथा बुराइयों में पड़ने से रोकती है; क्योंकि यह दिल के अंदर एक प्रकाश पैदा कर देती है, जो पाप करने से रोकता है और अच्छे कर्म करने के लिए मार्गदर्शन करता है। और निश्चय अल्लाह का स्मरण हर चीज से बड़ा और महान है। और जो कुछ तुम करते हो, अल्लाह उसे जानता है, तुम्हारे कार्यों में से कुछ भी उससे छिपा नहीं है। और वह तुम्हें तुम्हारे कार्यों का प्रतिफल देगा, यदि भला है, तो भला (बदला) और यदि बुरा है, तो बुरा (बदला)। |
| Ayah 46 |
| عَرَبِي | ۞ وَلا تُجادِلوا أَهلَ الكِتابِ إِلّا بِالَّتي هِيَ أَحسَنُ إِلَّا الَّذينَ ظَلَموا مِنهُم ۖ وَقولوا آمَنّا بِالَّذي أُنزِلَ إِلَينا وَأُنزِلَ إِلَيكُم وَإِلٰهُنا وَإِلٰهُكُم واحِدٌ وَنَحنُ لَهُ مُسلِمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wala tujadiloo ahla alkitabi illa biallatee hiya ahsanu illa allatheena thalamoo minhum waqooloo amanna biallathee onzila ilayna waonzila ilaykum wailahuna wailahukum wahidun wanahnu lahu muslimoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laa tujaadilooo Ahlal Kitaabi illaa billatee hiya ahsanu illal lazeena zalamoo minhum wa qoolooo aamannaa billazeee unzila ilainaa wa unzila ilaikum wa illaahunna wa illahukum waahidunw-wa nahnu lahoo muslimoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And argue not with the People of the Scripture unless it be in (a way) that is better, save with such of them as do wrong; and say: We believe in that which hath been revealed unto us and revealed unto you; our Allah and your Allah is One, and unto Him we surrender. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And dispute ye not with the People of the Book, except with means better (than mere disputation), unless it be with those of them who inflict wrong (and injury): but say, "We believe in the revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you; Our Allah and your Allah is one; and it is to Him we bow (in Islam)." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And do not argue with the People of the Scripture except in a way that is best, except for those who commit injustice among them, and say, "We believe in that which has been revealed to us and revealed to you. And our God and your God is one; and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him." |

Do not discuss and debate with the Jews and Christians to whom the divine books were revealed, except in the best of manners and most exemplary of ways: inviting them by exhortation and establishing clear proofs. As for those of them who oppress by showing stubbornness and arrogance, fight them until they submit, or pay the Jizyah with their own hands while subdued. And say to the Jews and the Christians: “I have believed in whatever Allah has revealed to us in the Qur’ān, and in the Torah and Gospel that was revealed to you. Our Lord is one and so is yours, He has no partner in His lordship, worship or perfection, and we submit and humble ourselves to Him alone.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और किताबवालों से बस उत्तम रीति ही से वाद-विवाद करो - रहे वे लोग जो उनमें ज़ालिम हैं, उनकी बात दूसरी है - और कहो - "हम ईमान लाए उस चीज़ पर जो अवतरित हुई और तुम्हारी ओर भी अवतरित हुई। और हमारा पूज्य और तुम्हारा पूज्य अकेला ही है और हम उसी के आज्ञाकारी है।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (ऐ ईमानदारों) अहले किताब से मनाज़िरा न किया करो मगर उमदा और शाएस्ता अलफाज़ व उनवान से लेकिन उनमें से जिन लोगों ने तुम पर ज़ुल्म किया (उनके साथ रिआयत न करो) और साफ साफ कह दो कि जो किताब हम पर नाज़िल हुई और जो किताब तुम पर नाज़िल हुई है हम तो सब पर ईमान ला चुके और हमारा माबूद और तुम्हारा माबूद एक ही है और हम उसी के फरमाबरदार है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ ईमान वालो!) तुम यहूदियों और ईसाइयों के साथ सबसे अच्छे एवं आदर्श तरीक़े से ही संवाद और वाद-विवाद करो, और वह उपदेश और स्पष्ट तर्कों के साथ इस्लाम की ओर बुलाना है। परंतु उनमें से जिन लोगों ने हठ और अहंकार के साथ अन्याय किया और तुम्हारे ख़िलाफ़ युद्ध की घोषणा कर दी, तो तुम उनसे लड़ाई करो, यहाँ तक कि वे इस्लाम ग्रहण कर लें या अपमानित होकर 'जिज़्या' अदा करें। तथा यहूदियों एवं ईसाइयों से कहो : हम उस क़ुरआन पर ईमान रखते हैं, जो अल्लाह ने हमारी ओर उतारा है, तथा हम उस तौरात एवं इंजील पर भी ईमान रखते हैं, जो तुम्हारी ओर उतारे गए हैं। तथा हमारा और तुम्हारा पूज्य एक ही है, जिसकी पूज्यता, परमेश्वरत्व और पूर्णता में उसका कोई साझीदार नहीं है। और हम अकेले उसी के प्रति आज्ञाकारी और विनम्र हैं। |
| Ayah 47 |
| عَرَبِي | وَكَذٰلِكَ أَنزَلنا إِلَيكَ الكِتابَ ۚ فَالَّذينَ آتَيناهُمُ الكِتابَ يُؤمِنونَ بِهِ ۖ وَمِن هٰؤُلاءِ مَن يُؤمِنُ بِهِ ۚ وَما يَجحَدُ بِآياتِنا إِلَّا الكافِرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wakathalika anzalna ilayka alkitaba faallatheena ataynahumu alkitaba yuminoona bihi wamin haolai man yuminu bihi wama yajhadu biayatina illa alkafiroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa kazaalika anzalnaaa ilaikal Kitaab; fallazeena aatainaahumul kitaaba yu'minoona bihee wa min haaa'ulaaa'i many yu'minu bih; wa maa yajhadu bi'Aayaatinaa illal kaafiroon |
| English (Pickthall) | In like manner We have revealed unto thee the Scripture, and those unto whom We gave the Scripture aforetime will believe therein; and of these (also) there are some who believe therein. And none deny Our revelations save the disbelievers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And thus (it is) that We have sent down the Book to thee. So the People of the Book believe therein, as also do some of these (pagan Arabs): and none but Unbelievers reject our signs. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And thus We have sent down to you the Qur'an. And those to whom We [previously] gave the Scripture believe in it. And among these [people of Makkah] are those who believe in it. And none reject Our verses except the disbelievers. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And just as I revealed the Books upon those before you, I revealed the Qur’ān upon you. Some of those who read the Torah, such as Abdullah ibn as Salam believe in the Qur’ān as well, because of what they find of its description in their books. And from among the idolaters are also those who believe in this Qur’ān. Only those who are habituated to rejection and denial disbelieve in My signs, despite their clarity. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | इसी प्रकार हमने तुम्हारी ओर किताब अवतरित की है, तो जिन्हें हमने किताब प्रदान की है वे उसपर ईमान लाएँगे। उनमें से कुछ उसपर ईमान ला भी रहे है। हमारी आयतों का इनकार तो केवल न माननेवाले ही करते है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (ऐ रसूल जिस तरह अगले पैग़म्बरों पर किताबें उतारी) उसी तरह हमने तुम्हारे पास किताब नाज़िल की तो जिन लोगों को हमने (पहले) किताब अता की है वह उस पर भी ईमान रखते हैं और (अरबो) में से बाज़ वह हैं जो उस पर ईमान रखते हैं और हमारी आयतों के तो बस पक्के कट्टर काफिर ही मुनकिर है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जिस तरह हमने आपसे पहले के नबियों पर किताबें उतारी थीं, उसी तरह हमने आप पर क़ुरआन उतारा है। तो तौरात पढ़ने वालों में से कुछ लोग (जैसे कि अब्दुल्लाह बिन सलाम) इसपर ईमान रखते हैं; क्योंकि वे अपनी किताबों में आपका विवरण पाते हैं। तथा इन मुश्रिकों में से भी कुछ लोग ऐसे हैं, जो इसपर ईमान रखते हैं। और हमारी आयतों का इनकार केवल वही काफ़िर करते हैं, जो सत्य के स्पष्ट होने के बावजूद उसके इनकार के रास्ते पर चलने के आदी हैं। |
| Ayah 48 |
| عَرَبِي | وَما كُنتَ تَتلو مِن قَبلِهِ مِن كِتابٍ وَلا تَخُطُّهُ بِيَمينِكَ ۖ إِذًا لَارتابَ المُبطِلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wama kunta tatloo min qablihi min kitabin wala takhuttuhu biyameenika ithan lairtaba almubtiloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa maa kunta tatloo min qablihee min kitaabinw wa laa takhuttubhoo bi yameenika izal lartaabal mubtiloon |
| English (Pickthall) | And thou (O Muhammad) wast not a reader of any scripture before it, nor didst thou write it with thy right hand, for then might those have doubted, who follow falsehood. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And thou wast not (able) to recite a Book before this (Book came), nor art thou (able) to transcribe it with thy right hand: In that case, indeed, would the talkers of vanities have doubted. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And you did not recite before it any scripture, nor did you inscribe one with your right hand. Otherwise the falsifiers would have had [cause for] doubt. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! You never read any book before the Qur’ān, nor did you write anything with your hand because you are unlettered and cannot read or write. Had you been able to read and write, the ignorant people would have doubted your messengership and used it as an excuse to say you were relating from the previous Books. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | इससे पहले तुम न कोई किताब पढ़ते थे और न उसे अपने हाथ से लिखते ही थे। ऐसा होता तो ये मिथ्यावादी सन्देह में पड़ सकते थे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (ऐ रसूल) क़ुरान से पहले न तो तुम कोई किताब ही पढ़ते थे और न अपने हाथ से तुम लिखा करते थे ऐसा होता तो ये झूठे ज़रुर (तुम्हारी नबुवत में) शक करते |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और (ऐ रसूल) आप क़ुरआन से पहले न कोई किताब पढ़ेते थे और न अपने दाहिने हाथ से कुछ लिखते थे। क्योंकि आप 'उम्मी' (अनपढ़) हैं, लिखना और पढ़ना नहीं जानते हैं।और अगर आप पढ़ना और लिखना जानते होते, तो अज्ञानी लोग आपकी नुबुव्वत के बारे में अवश्य संदेह करते और यह तर्क देते कि आप पिछली किताबों की बातें लिखा करते थे। |
| Ayah 49 |
| عَرَبِي | بَل هُوَ آياتٌ بَيِّناتٌ في صُدورِ الَّذينَ أوتُوا العِلمَ ۚ وَما يَجحَدُ بِآياتِنا إِلَّا الظّالِمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Bal huwa ayatun bayyinatun fee sudoori allatheena ootoo alAAilma wama yajhadu biayatina illa alththalimoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Bal huwa aayaatum baiyinaatun fee sudooril lazeena ootul 'ilm; wa maa yajhadu bi aayaatinaa illaz zaalimoon |
| English (Pickthall) | But it is clear revelations in the hearts of those who have been given knowledge, and none deny Our revelations save wrong-doers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Nay, here are Signs self-evident in the hearts of those endowed with knowledge: and none but the unjust reject Our Signs. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Rather, the Qur'an is distinct verses [preserved] within the breasts of those who have been given knowledge. And none reject Our verses except the wrongdoers. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Nay, the Qur’ān that has been revealed to you consists of clear verses which are preserved within the hearts of those believers granted knowledge. Only those who wrong themselves by ascribing partners with Allah and rejecting Him, deny My verses. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | नहीं, बल्कि वे तो उन लोगों के सीनों में विद्यमान खुली निशानियाँ है, जिन्हें ज्ञान प्राप्त हुआ है। हमारी आयतों का इनकार तो केवल ज़ालिम ही करते है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | मगर जिन लोगों को (ख़ुदा की तरफ से) इल्म अता हुआ है उनके दिल में ये (क़ुरान) वाजेए व रौशन आयतें हैं और सरकशी के सिवा हमारी आयतो से कोई इन्कार नहीं करता |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | बल्कि आप पर उतरने वाला क़ुरआन स्पष्ट आयतों पर आधारित है, जो उन ईमान वाले लोगों के दिलों में सुरक्षित है, जिन्हें ज्ञान दिया गया है। और हमारी आयतों का इनकार केवल वही लोग करते हैं, जो अल्लाह के साथ कुफ़्र और शिर्क करके अपने ऊपर अत्याचार करने वाले हैं। |
| Ayah 50 |
| عَرَبِي | وَقالوا لَولا أُنزِلَ عَلَيهِ آياتٌ مِن رَبِّهِ ۖ قُل إِنَّمَا الآياتُ عِندَ اللَّهِ وَإِنَّما أَنا نَذيرٌ مُبينٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waqaloo lawla onzila AAalayhi ayatun min rabbihi qul innama alayatu AAinda Allahi wainnama ana natheerun mubeenun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa qaaloo law laaa unzila 'alaihi aayaatum mir Rabbihee qul innamal aayaatu 'indal laahi wa innamaaa ana nazeerum mubeen |
| English (Pickthall) | And they say: Why are not portents sent down upon him from his Lord? Say: Portents are with Allah only, and I am but a plain warner. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Ye they say: "Why are not Signs sent down to him from his Lord?" Say: "The signs are indeed with Allah: and I am indeed a clear Warner." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But they say, "Why are not signs sent down to him from his Lord?" Say, "The signs are only with Allah, and I am only a clear warner." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The idolaters said, “Why have no miracles been given to Muhammad from his Lord, like those miracles given to the messengers before him?” O Messenger! say to them: “Miracles are only in the control of Allah, may He be glorified; He grants them whenever He wishes. It is not in my power to bring them; I am only a clear warner to you of the punishment of Allah.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उनका कहना है कि "उसपर उसके रब की ओर से निशानियाँ क्यों नहीं अवतरित हुई?" कह दो, "निशानियाँ तो अल्लाह ही के पास है। मैं तो केवल स्पष्ट रूप से सचेत करनेवाला हूँ।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (कुफ्फ़ार अरब) कहते हैं कि इस (रसूल) पर उसके परवरदिगार की तरफ से मौजिज़े क्यों नही नाज़िल होते (ऐ रसूल उनसे) कह दो कि मौजिज़े तो बस ख़ुदा ही के पास हैं और मै तो सिर्फ साफ साफ (अज़ाबे ख़ुदा से) डराने वाला हूँ |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और मुश्रिकों ने कहा : मुहम्मद (सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम) पर उनके पालनहार की ओर से कुछ निशानियाँ (चमत्कार) क्यों नहीं उतारी गईं, जैसे कि उनसे पहले के रसूलों पर उतारी गई थीं? (ऐ रसूल!) आप इन प्रस्तावकों से कह दें : निशानियाँ तो केवल अल्लाह के हाथ में हैं, वह जब चाहे उन्हें उतारता है। उन्हें उतारना मेरा काम नहीं है। मैं तो मात्र तुम्हें, स्पष्ट रूप से, अल्लाह की यातना से डराने वाला हूँ। |
| Ayah 51 |
| عَرَبِي | أَوَلَم يَكفِهِم أَنّا أَنزَلنا عَلَيكَ الكِتابَ يُتلىٰ عَلَيهِم ۚ إِنَّ في ذٰلِكَ لَرَحمَةً وَذِكرىٰ لِقَومٍ يُؤمِنونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Awalam yakfihim anna anzalna AAalayka alkitaba yutla AAalayhim inna fee thalika larahmatan wathikra liqawmin yuminoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Awa lam yakfihim annaaa anzalnaa 'alaikal kitaaba yutlaa 'alaikhim; inna fee zaalika larahmatanw wa zikraa liqawminy yu'minoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Is it not enough for them that We have sent down unto thee the Scripture which is read unto them? Lo! herein verily is mercy, and a reminder for folk who believe. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And is it not enough for them that we have sent down to thee the Book which is rehearsed to them? Verily, in it is Mercy and a Reminder to those who believe. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And is it not sufficient for them that We revealed to you the Book which is recited to them? Indeed in that is a mercy and reminder for a people who believe. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! Is it not sufficient for these people who propose miracles, that we have revealed the Qur’ān upon you which it recited to them? Indeed, in the Qur’ān is mercy and exhortation to believing people, because they are the ones who truly benefit from whatever it contains. Therefore, whatever has been revealed to them is better than that which they suggest should be sent down: similar to what was sent to Messengers previously. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | क्या उनके लिए यह पर्याप्त नहीं कि हमने तुमपर किताब अवतरित की, जो उन्हें पढ़कर सुनाई जाती है? निस्संदेह उसमें उन लोगों के लिए दयालुता है और अनुस्मृति है जो ईमान लाएँ |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | क्या उनके लिए ये काफी नहीं कि हमने तुम पर क़ुरान नाज़िल किया जो उनके सामने पढ़ा जाता है इसमें शक नहीं कि ईमानदार लोगों के लिए इसमें (ख़ुदा की बड़ी) मेहरबानी और (अच्छी ख़ासी) नसीहत है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्या निशानियों का प्रस्ताव देने वाले इन लोगों के लिए यह काफ़ी नहीं है कि हमने (ऐ रसूल) आपपर क़ुरआन उतारा है, जो उनके सामने पढ़ा जाता है? निःसंदेह उनपर उतरने वाले क़ुरआन में उन लोगों के लिए दया और उपदेश है, जो ईमान रखते हैं। क्योंकि वही लोग क़ुरआन की शिक्षाओं से लाभान्वित होते हैं। इसलिए जो कुछ उनपर उतारा गया है, वह उनके द्वारा सुझाई गई पिछले रसूलों पर उतरने वाली निशानियों से कहीं बेहतर है। |
| Ayah 52 |
| عَرَبِي | قُل كَفىٰ بِاللَّهِ بَيني وَبَينَكُم شَهيدًا ۖ يَعلَمُ ما فِي السَّماواتِ وَالأَرضِ ۗ وَالَّذينَ آمَنوا بِالباطِلِ وَكَفَروا بِاللَّهِ أُولٰئِكَ هُمُ الخاسِرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qul kafa biAllahi baynee wabaynakum shaheedan yaAAlamu ma fee alssamawati waalardi waallatheena amanoo bialbatili wakafaroo biAllahi olaika humu alkhasiroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qul kafaa billaahi bainee wa bainakum shaheedaa; ya'lamu maa fis samaawaati wal ard; wallazeena aamanoo bil baatili wa kafaroo billaahi ulaaa'ika humul khaasiroon |
| English (Pickthall) | Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Allah sufficeth for witness between me and you. He knoweth whatsoever is in the heavens and the earth. And those who believe in vanity and disbelieve in Allah, they it is who are the losers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Say: "Enough is Allah for a witness between me and you: He knows what is in the heavens and on earth. And it is those who believe in vanities and reject Allah, that will perish (in the end). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Say, "Sufficient is Allah between me and you as Witness. He knows what is in the heavens and earth. And they who have believed in falsehood and disbelieved in Allah - it is those who are the losers." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! Say: “Allah, may He be glorified, is enough as a witness to my truthfulness in what I convey, and to your rejection of it. He knows everything that is in the heavens and everything that is on Earth; nothing is hidden from Him. As for those who bring faith upon falsehood in worshipping anything instead of Allah, whilst rejecting the being who alone is worthy of worship, they are the true losers because of them choosing disbelief over belief. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | कह दो, "मेरे और तुम्हारे बीच अल्लाह गवाह के रूप में काफ़ी है।" वह जानता है जो कुछ आकाशों और धरती में है। जो लोग असत्य पर ईमान लाए और अल्लाह का इनकार किया वही है जो घाटे में है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तुम कह दो कि मेरे और तुम्हारे दरमियान गवाही के वास्ते ख़ुदा ही काफी है जो सारे आसमान व ज़मीन की चीज़ों को जानता है-और जिन लोगों ने बातिल को माना और ख़ुदा से इन्कार किया वही लोग बड़े घाटे में रहेंगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल) आप कह दें : मैं जो कुछ लेकर आया हूँ, उसमें मेरी सच्चाई पर तथा तुम्हारे उसे झुठलाने पर अल्लाह गवाह के तौर पर काफ़ी है। वह आकाशों में मौजूद सारी चीज़ों और धरती की सारी चीज़ों को जानता है। उन दोनों में से कोई चीज़ उससे छिपी नहीं है। तथा जिन लोगों ने असत्य अर्थात् अल्लाह के अलावा पूजी जाने वाली प्रत्येक चीज़ को माना और एकमात्र इबादत के हक़दार अल्लाह का इनकार किया, वही लोग घाटे में पड़ने वाले हैं, क्योंकि उन्होंने ईमान के बदले कुफ़्र को चुना है। |
| Ayah 53 |
| عَرَبِي | وَيَستَعجِلونَكَ بِالعَذابِ ۚ وَلَولا أَجَلٌ مُسَمًّى لَجاءَهُمُ العَذابُ وَلَيَأتِيَنَّهُم بَغتَةً وَهُم لا يَشعُرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | WayastaAAjiloonaka bialAAathabi walawla ajalun musamman lajaahumu alAAathabu walayatiyannahum baghtatan wahum la yashAAuroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa yasta'jiloonaka bil'azaab; wa law laaa ajalum musammal lajaaa'ahumul 'zaab; wa la yaatiyannahum baghta tanw wa hum laa yash'uroon |
| English (Pickthall) | They bid thee hasten on the doom (of Allah). And if a term had not been appointed, the doom would assuredly have come unto them (ere now). And verily it will come upon them suddenly when they perceive not. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They ask thee to hasten on the Punishment (for them): had it not been for a term (of respite) appointed, the Punishment would certainly have come to them: and it will certainly reach them,- of a sudden, while they perceive not! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And they urge you to hasten the punishment. And if not for [the decree of] a specified term, punishment would have reached them. But it will surely come to them suddenly while they perceive not. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! The idolaters want for you to bring quickly the punishment you warned them of. Had it not been for Allah already having decreed an unmovable time for their punishment, it would definitely have come upon them. And it will come upon them suddenly, when they do not expect it to. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वे तुमसे यातना के लिए जल्दी मचा रहे है। यदि इसका एक नियत समय न होता तो उनपर अवश्य ही यातना आ जाती। वह तो अचानक उनपर आकर रहेगी कि उन्हें ख़बर भी न होगी |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (ऐ रसूल) तुमसे लोग अज़ाब के नाज़िल होने की जल्दी करते हैं और अगर (अज़ाब का) वक्त मुअय्यन न होता तो यक़ीनन उनके पास अब तक अज़ाब आ जाता और (आख़िर एक दिन) उन पर अचानक ज़रुर आ पड़ेगा और उनको ख़बर भी न होगी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल) आपने मुश्रिकों को जिस यातना से डराया है, वे आपसे उसके लिए जल्दी मचा रहे हैं। अगर अल्लाह ने उनकी यातना के लिए एक समय निर्धारित न किया होता, जिससे वह आगे-पीछे नहीं हो सकती, तो उनके पास वह यातना अवश्य आ जाती, जिसकी वे माँग कर रहे हैं। तथा निश्चित रूप से वह उनपर अचानक अवश्य आएगी, जबकि उन्हें उसका अनुमान भी न होगा। |
| Ayah 54 |
| عَرَبِي | يَستَعجِلونَكَ بِالعَذابِ وَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ لَمُحيطَةٌ بِالكافِرينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | YastaAAjiloonaka bialAAathabi wainna jahannama lamuheetatun bialkafireena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yasta'jiloonak bil'azaab; wa inna Jahannama lamuhee tatum bilkaafireen |
| English (Pickthall) | They bid thee hasten on the doom, when lo! hell verily will encompass the disbelievers |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They ask thee to hasten on the Punishment: but, of a surety, Hell will encompass the Rejecters of Faith!- |

| عَرَبِي | يَومَ يَغشاهُمُ العَذابُ مِن فَوقِهِم وَمِن تَحتِ أَرجُلِهِم وَيَقولُ ذوقوا ما كُنتُم تَعمَلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yawma yaghshahumu alAAathabu min fawqihim wamin tahti arjulihim wayaqoolu thooqoo ma kuntum taAAmaloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yawma yaghshaahumul 'azaabu min fawqihim wa min tahti arjulim wa yaqoolu zooqoo maa kuntum ta'maloon |
| English (Pickthall) | On the day when the doom will overwhelm them from above them and from underneath their feet, and He will say: Taste what ye used to do! |

| عَرَبِي | يا عِبادِيَ الَّذينَ آمَنوا إِنَّ أَرضي واسِعَةٌ فَإِيّايَ فَاعبُدونِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ya AAibadiya allatheena amanoo inna ardee wasiAAatun faiyyaya faoAAbudooni |

| English (Pickthall) | O my bondmen who believe! Lo! My earth is spacious. Therefor serve Me only. |

| عَرَبِي | كُلُّ نَفسٍ ذائِقَةُ المَوتِ ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَينا تُرجَعونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Kullu nafsin thaiqatu almawti thumma ilayna turjaAAoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Kullu nafsin zaaa'iqatul mawti summa ilainaa turja'oon |

| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ آمَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّالِحاتِ لَنُبَوِّئَنَّهُم مِنَ الجَنَّةِ غُرَفًا تَجري مِن تَحتِهَا الأَنهارُ خالِدينَ فيها ۚ نِعمَ أَجرُ العامِلينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati lanubawwiannahum mina aljannati ghurafan tajree min tahtiha alanharu khalideena feeha niAAma ajru alAAamileena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati la nubawwi 'annahum minal Jannati ghurafan tajree min tahtihal anhaaru khaalideena feehaa; ni'ma ajrul 'aamileen |
| English (Pickthall) | Those who believe and do good works, them verily We shall house in lofty dwellings of the Garden underneath which rivers flow. There they will dwell secure. How sweet the guerdon of the toilers, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But those who believe and work deeds of righteousness - to them shall We give a Home in Heaven,- lofty mansions beneath which flow rivers,- to dwell therein for aye;- an excellent reward for those who do (good)!- |

| عَرَبِي | الَّذينَ صَبَروا وَعَلىٰ رَبِّهِم يَتَوَكَّلونَ |

| عَرَبِي | وَكَأَيِّن مِن دابَّةٍ لا تَحمِلُ رِزقَهَا اللَّهُ يَرزُقُها وَإِيّاكُم ۚ وَهُوَ السَّميعُ العَليمُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wakaayyin min dabbatin la tahmilu rizqaha Allahu yarzuquha waiyyakum wahuwa alssameeAAu alAAaleemu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa ka ayyim min daaabbatil laa tahmilu riqqahaa; al laahu yarzuquhaa wa iyyaakum; wa Huwas Samee'ul Aleem |
| English (Pickthall) | And how many an animal there is that beareth not its own provision! Allah provideth for it and for you. He is the Hearer, the Knower. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | How many are the creatures that carry not their own sustenance? It is Allah who feeds (both) them and you: for He hears and knows (all things). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And how many a creature carries not its [own] provision. Allah provides for it and for you. And He is the Hearing, the Knowing. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | All creatures - despite their innumerability - that are incapable of storing their own provisions, Allah sustains them and you. | हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | धरती पर चलने वाले सभी जानवर - अपनी बहुतायत के बावजूद - जो अपनी रोज़ी एकत्र नहीं कर सकते और न ही उसे उठा सकते हैं, अल्लाह उन्हें जीविका प्रदान करता है और तुम्हें भी जीविका प्रदान करता है। इसलिए तुम्हारे लिए भूख के डर से हिजरत छोड़ने के लिए कोई बहाना नहीं है। वह तुम्हारी बातों को सुनने वाला, तुम्हारे इरादों और कार्यों को जानने वाला है। उससे कुछ भी छिपा नहीं है और वह तुम्हें उसका बदला देगा। |
| Ayah 61 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَئِن سَأَلتَهُم مَن خَلَقَ السَّماواتِ وَالأَرضَ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمسَ وَالقَمَرَ لَيَقولُنَّ اللَّهُ ۖ فَأَنّىٰ يُؤفَكونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walain saaltahum man khalaqa alssamawati waalarda wasakhkhara alshshamsa waalqamara layaqoolunna Allahu faanna yufakoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa la'in sa altahum man khalaqas samaawaati wal arda wa sakhkharash shamsa wal qamara la yaqoolunnal laahu fa ann yu'fakoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And if thou wert to ask them: Who created the heavens and the earth, and constrained the sun and the moon (to their appointed work)? they would say: Allah. How then are they turned away? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | If indeed thou ask them who has created the heavens and the earth and subjected the sun and the moon (to his Law), they will certainly reply, "Allah". How are they then deluded away (from the truth)? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | If you asked them, "Who created the heavens and earth and subjected the sun and the moon?" they would surely say, "Allah." Then how are they deluded? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! If you ask these idolaters, “Who created the heavens and the earth? Who put the sun and moon into orbit, such that they come after each other?” they will say, “Allah is the one who created the heavens and the earth, and put the sun and moon into constant orbit.” How then can they turn away from bringing faith in only Allah to the worship of deities instead of Him that do not bring benefit nor cause harm? |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और यदि तुम उनसे पूछो कि "किसने आकाशों और धरती को पैदा किया और सूर्य और चन्द्रमा को काम में लगाया?" तो वे बोल पड़ेगे, "अल्लाह ने!" फिर वे किधर उलटे फिरे जाते है? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (ऐ रसूल) अगर तुम उनसे पूछो कि (भला) किसने सारे आसमान व ज़मीन को पैदा किया और चाँद और सूरज को काम में लगाया तो वह ज़रुर यही कहेंगे कि अल्लाह ने फिर वह कहाँ बहके चले जाते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल) यदि आप इन मुश्रिकों से पूछें कि आकाशों को किसने पैदा किया? और धरती को किसने पैदा किया? तथा सूर्य और चाँद को किसने वशीभूत किया, जो एक-दूसरे के बाद आते-जाते हैं? तो वे अवश्य कहेंगे : उन्हें अल्लाह ने पैदा किया है। तो फिर वे अकेले अल्लाह पर ईमान लाने से कैसे फेर दिए जाते हैं और उसके सिवा ऐसे देवताओं की पूजा करते हैं, जो किसी लाभ या हानि के मालिक नहीं हैं? |
| Ayah 62 |
| عَرَبِي | اللَّهُ يَبسُطُ الرِّزقَ لِمَن يَشاءُ مِن عِبادِهِ وَيَقدِرُ لَهُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ بِكُلِّ شَيءٍ عَليمٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Allahu yabsutu alrrizqa liman yashao min AAibadihi wayaqdiru lahu inna Allaha bikulli shayin AAaleemun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Allaahu yabsutur rizqa limany yashaaa'u min 'ibaadihee wa yaqdiru lah; innal laaha bikulli shai'in Aleem |
| English (Pickthall) | Allah maketh the provision wide for whom He will of His bondmen, and straiteneth it for whom (He will). Lo! Allah is Aware of all things. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Allah enlarges the sustenance (which He gives) to whichever of His servants He pleases; and He (similarly) grants by (strict) measure, (as He pleases): for Allah has full knowledge of all things. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Allah extends provision for whom He wills of His servants and restricts for him. Indeed Allah is, of all things, Knowing. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Allah expands the sustenance for whoever He wishes from His servants and constricts it for whoever He wishes; this is due to wisdom only He is aware of. Indeed, Allah knows everything; no solution required for His servants is hidden from Him. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ख़ुदा ही अपने बन्दों में से जिसकी रोज़ी चाहता है कुशादा कर देता है और जिसके लिए चाहता है तंग कर देता है इसमें शक नहीं कि ख़ुदा ही हर चीज़ से वाक़िफ है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अल्लाह अपने बंदों में से जिसपर चाहता है जीविका का विस्तार कर देता है और जिसपर चाहता है जीविका तंग कर देता है; वह ऐसा किसी हिकमत के तहत करता है जिसे वही जानता है। निःसंदेह अल्लाह हर चीज़ को अच्छी तरह जानने वाला है। उससे कोई चीज़ छिपी नहीं है। इसलिए उसके बंदों के लिए उपयुक्त कोई भी उपाय उससे गुप्त नहीं है। |
| Ayah 63 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَئِن سَأَلتَهُم مَن نَزَّلَ مِنَ السَّماءِ ماءً فَأَحيا بِهِ الأَرضَ مِن بَعدِ مَوتِها لَيَقولُنَّ اللَّهُ ۚ قُلِ الحَمدُ لِلَّهِ ۚ بَل أَكثَرُهُم لا يَعقِلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walain saaltahum man nazzala mina alssamai maan faahya bihi alarda min baAAdi mawtiha layaqoolunna Allahu quli alhamdu lillahi bal aktharuhum la yaAAqiloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa la'in sa altahum man nazzala minas samaaa'e maaa'an fa ahyaa bihil arda mim ba'di mawtihaa la yaqoolunnal laah; qulil hamdu lillah; bal aksaruhum laa ya'qiloon |
| English (Pickthall) | And if thou wert to ask them: Who causeth water to come down from the sky, and therewith reviveth the earth after its death? they verily would say: Allah. Say: Praise be to Allah! But most of them have no sense. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And if indeed thou ask them who it is that sends down rain from the sky, and gives life therewith to the earth after its death, they will certainly reply, "Allah!" Say, "Praise be to Allah!" But most of them understand not. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And if you asked them, "Who sends down rain from the sky and gives life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness?" they would surely say " Allah." Say, "Praise to Allah "; but most of them do not reason. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And O Messenger! If you were to ask the idolaters, “Who is it that causes the rain to descend from the sky, and consequently causes the earth to grow after it became barren?” they would definitely say, “Allah is the one who causes the rain to fall from the sky and the earth to grow because of it.” O Messenger! Say: “All praise is for Allah who has made the evidence clear against you!” However, the crux of the matter is that the majority of them will not understand, because if they were to understand they would not worship idols that do not benefit or harm them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और यदि तुम उनसे पूछो कि "किसने आकाश से पानी बरसाया; फिर उसके द्वारा धरती को उसके मुर्दा हो जाने के पश्चात जीवित किया?" तो वे बोल पड़ेंगे, "अल्लाह ने!" कहो, "सारी प्रशंसा अल्लाह ही के लिए है।" किन्तु उनमें से अधिकतर बुद्धि से काम नहीं लेते |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (ऐ रसूल) अगर तुम उससे पूछो कि किसने आसमान से पानी बरसाया फिर उसके ज़रिये से ज़मीन को इसके मरने (परती होने) के बाद ज़िन्दा (आबाद) किया तो वह ज़रुर यही कहेंगे कि अल्लाह ने (ऐ रसूल) तुम कह दो अल्हम दो लिल्लाह-मगर उनमे से बहुतेरे (इतना भी) नहीं समझते |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और (ऐ रसूल) यदि आप मुश्रिकों से पूछें : किसने आकाश से बारिश बरसाई, फिर उसके द्वारा धरती पर पौधे उगा दिए, जबकि वह बंजर पड़ी थी? तो वे अवश्य कहेंगे : आसमान से बारिश बरसाने वाला और धरती पर पौधे उगाने वाला अल्लाह है। (ऐ रसलू) आप कह दें : हर प्रकार की प्रशंसा अल्लाह के लिए है, जिसने तुम्हारे खिलाफ तर्क को स्पष्ट कर दिया। बल्कि बात यह है कि उनमें से अधिकतर लोग नहीं समझते हैं। क्योंकि अगर वे समझते होते, तो उन मूर्तियों को अल्लाह का साझी न बनाते, जो न लाभ पहुँचा सकती हैं और न हानि। |
| Ayah 64 |
| عَرَبِي | وَما هٰذِهِ الحَياةُ الدُّنيا إِلّا لَهوٌ وَلَعِبٌ ۚ وَإِنَّ الدّارَ الآخِرَةَ لَهِيَ الحَيَوانُ ۚ لَو كانوا يَعلَمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wama hathihi alhayatu alddunya illa lahwun walaAAibun wainna alddara alakhirata lahiya alhayawanu law kanoo yaAAlamoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa maa haazihil hayaa tud dunyaaa illaa lahwunw-wa la'ib; wa innad Daaral Aakhirata la hiyal ha yawaan; law kaano ya'lamoon |
| English (Pickthall) | This life of the world is but a pastime and a game. Lo! the home of the Hereafter - that is Life, if they but knew. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | What is the life of this world but amusement and play? but verily the Home in the Hereafter,- that is life indeed, if they but knew. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And this worldly life is not but diversion and amusement. And indeed, the home of the Hereafter - that is the [eternal] life, if only they knew. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | This worldly life with all its temptations and enjoyments, is only amusement and play for those who are attached to it; it will expire quickly. Indeed, the abode of the afterlife is the real life, due to it being eternal. If only they knew, they would not have given preference to that which is temporary, over that which is eternal. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और यह सांसारिक जीवन तो केवल दिल का बहलावा और खेल है। निस्संदेह पश्चात्वर्ती घर (का जीवन) ही वास्तविक जीवन है। क्या ही अच्छा होता कि वे जानते! |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और ये दुनिया की ज़िन्दगी तो खेल तमाशे के सिवा कुछ नहीं और मगर ये लोग समझें बूझें तो इसमे शक नहीं कि अबदी ज़िन्दगी (की जगह) तो बस आख़ेरत का घर है (बाक़ी लग़ो) |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और यह सांसारिक जीवन (जिसमें उसकी मनपसंद चीज़ें और लाभ के सामान शामिल हैं) उन लोगों के दिलों के लिए, जो इससे चिपके हुए हैं, केवल मनोरंजन और खेल है, जो जल्द ही समाप्त हो जाता है। और निश्चित रूप से आखिरत का घर ही वास्तविक जीवन है, क्योंकि वही बाक़ी रहने वाला है। अगर वे इस तथ्य से अवगत होते, तो नाश होने वाले को बाक़ी रहने वाले पर प्राथमिकता न देते। |
| Ayah 65 |
| عَرَبِي | فَإِذا رَكِبوا فِي الفُلكِ دَعَوُا اللَّهَ مُخلِصينَ لَهُ الدّينَ فَلَمّا نَجّاهُم إِلَى البَرِّ إِذا هُم يُشرِكونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faitha rakiboo fee alfulki daAAawoo Allaha mukhliseena lahu alddeena falamma najjahum ila albarri itha hum yushrikoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa-izaa rakiboo fil fulki da'awul laaha mukhilseena lahud deena falammaa najjaa hum ilal baari izaa hum yushrikoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And when they mount upon the ships they pray to Allah, making their faith pure for Him only, but when He bringeth them safe to land, behold! they ascribe partners (unto Him), |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Now, if they embark on a boat, they call on Allah, making their devotion sincerely (and exclusively) to Him; but when He has delivered them safely to (dry) land, behold, they give a share (of their worship to others)!- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And when they board a ship, they supplicate Allah, sincere to Him in religion. But when He delivers them to the land, at once they associate others with Him |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | When the idolaters board ships and sail the ocean, they call out to Allah alone, sincerely supplicating to Him to save them from drowning. After Allah saves them from drowning, they return to their idolatry, calling out to their idols together with Him. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जब वे नौका में सवार होते है तो वे अल्लाह को उसके दीन (आज्ञापालन) के लिए निष्ठा वान होकर पुकारते है। किन्तु जब वह उन्हें बचाकर शु्ष्क भूमि तक ले आता है तो क्या देखते है कि वे लगे (अल्लाह का साथ) साझी ठहराने |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | फिर जब ये लोग कश्ती में सवार होते हैं तो निहायत ख़ुलूस से उसकी इबादत करने वाले बन कर ख़ुदा से दुआ करते हैं फिर जब उन्हें ख़ुश्की में (पहुँचा कर) नजात देता है तो फौरन शिर्क करने लगते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जब मुश्रिक लोग समुद्र में नौकाओं पर सवार होते हैं, तो निष्ठापूर्वक अकेले अल्लाह ही को पुकारते हैं कि उन्हें डूबने से बचा ले। फिर जब वह उन्हें डूबने से बचा लेता है, तो वे बहुदेववादी हो जाते हैं उसके साथ अपने देवताओं को पुकारने लगते हैं। |
| Ayah 66 |
| عَرَبِي | لِيَكفُروا بِما آتَيناهُم وَلِيَتَمَتَّعوا ۖ فَسَوفَ يَعلَمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Liyakfuroo bima ataynahum waliyatamattaAAoo fasawfa yaAAlamoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Li yakfuroo bimaaa aatainaahum wa li yatamatta'oo fasaw fa ya'lamoon |
| English (Pickthall) | That they may disbelieve in that which We have given them, and that they may take their ease. But they will come to know. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Disdaining ungratefully Our gifts, and giving themselves up to (worldly) enjoyment! But soon will they know. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So that they will deny what We have granted them, and they will enjoy themselves. But they are going to know. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They return to their idolatry so that they can continue showing ingratitude for My favours upon them and so that they can carry on enjoying the beauty of the worldly life. They will soon know the evil punishment that awaits them when they die. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | ताकि जो कुछ हमने उन्हें दिया है उसके प्रति वे इस तरह कृतघ्नता दिखाएँ, और ताकि इस तरह से मज़े उड़ा ले। अच्छा तो वे शीघ्र ही जान लेंगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ताकि जो (नेअमतें) हमने उन्हें अता की हैं उनका इन्कार कर बैठें और ताकि (दुनिया में) ख़ूब चैन कर लें तो अनक़रीब ही (इसका नतीजा) उन्हें मालूम हो जाएगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वे बहुदेववादी हो जाते हैं, ताकि हमारी दी हुई नेमतों की नाशुक्री करें और सांसारिक जीवन की शोभा का आनंद लें। अतः जब वे मरेंगे तो अपने बुरे परिणाम को जान लेंगे। |
| Ayah 67 |
| عَرَبِي | أَوَلَم يَرَوا أَنّا جَعَلنا حَرَمًا آمِنًا وَيُتَخَطَّفُ النّاسُ مِن حَولِهِم ۚ أَفَبِالباطِلِ يُؤمِنونَ وَبِنِعمَةِ اللَّهِ يَكفُرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Awalam yaraw anna jaAAalna haraman aminan wayutakhattafu alnnasu min hawlihim afabialbatili yuminoona wabiniAAmati Allahi yakfuroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Awalam yaraw annaa ja'alnaa haraman aaminanw wa yutakhattafun naasu min haw lihim; afabil baatili yu'minoona wa bini'matil laahi yakfuroon |
| English (Pickthall) | Have they not seen that We have appointed a sanctuary immune (from violence), while mankind are ravaged all around them? Do they then believe in falsehood and disbelieve in the bounty of Allah? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Do they not then see that We have made a sanctuary secure, and that men are being snatched away from all around them? Then, do they believe in that which is vain, and reject the Grace of Allah? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Have they not seen that We made [Makkah] a safe sanctuary, while people are being taken away all around them? Then in falsehood do they believe, and in the favor of Allah they disbelieve? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Do these people who reject the blessings of Allah upon them not see another blessing of His after He saves them from drowning, that He made a sanctuary for them in which their lives and wealth are secure? This is while those around them are raided, killed, looted, and taken captive together with their wives and children. Do they still believe in their false deities and reject the bounties of Allah, not showing Him gratitude for them? |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | क्या उन्होंने देखा नही कि हमने एक शान्तिमय हरम बनाया, हालाँकि उनके आसपास से लोग उचक लिए जाते है, तो क्या फिर भी वे असत्य पर ईमान रखते है और अल्लाह की अनुकम्पा के प्रति कृतघ्नता दिखलाते है? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | क्या उन लोगों ने इस पर ग़ौर नहीं किया कि हमने हरम (मक्का) को अमन व इत्मेनान की जगह बनाया हालॉकि उनके गिर्द व नवाह से लोग उचक ले जाते हैं तो क्या ये लोग झूठे माबूदों पर ईमान लाते हैं और ख़ुदा की नेअमत की नाशुक्री करते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्या अपने ऊपर अल्लाह की नेमत का इनकार करने वाले इन लोगों ने, जब अल्लाह ने उन्हें डूबने से बचाया था, उसकी एक और नेमत को नहीं देखा; जो यह है कि हमने उनके लिए एक हरम बनाया है, जिसमें उनके रक्त और धन सुरक्षित रहते हैं, जबकि उनके अलावा दूसरे लोगों पर हमले किए जाते हैं, फिर उन्हें मार दिया जाता है, तथा उन्हें पकड़ लिया जाता है और उनकी पत्नियों और बच्चों को बंदी बना लिया जाता है और उनके धनों को लूट लिया जाता है। क्या (फिर भी) वे अपने तथाकथित असत्य पूज्यों पर ईमान रखते हैं और अपने ऊपर अल्लाह की नेमत (कृपा) का इनकार करते हैं, इसलिए उसपर अल्लाह का शुक्रिया अदा नहीं करते हैं?! |
| Ayah 68 |
| عَرَبِي | وَمَن أَظلَمُ مِمَّنِ افتَرىٰ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَو كَذَّبَ بِالحَقِّ لَمّا جاءَهُ ۚ أَلَيسَ في جَهَنَّمَ مَثوًى لِلكافِرينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waman athlamu mimmani iftara AAala Allahi kathiban aw kaththaba bialhaqqi lamma jaahu alaysa fee jahannama mathwan lilkafireena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa man azlamu mimma nif taraa 'alal laahi kaziban aw kazzaba bilhaqqi lammaa jaaa'ah; alaisa fee jahannama maswal lil kaafireen |
| English (Pickthall) | Who doeth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie concerning Allah, or denieth the truth when it cometh unto him? Is not there a home in hell for disbelievers? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And who does more wrong than he who invents a lie against Allah or rejects the Truth when it reaches him? Is there not a home in Hell for those who reject Faith? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah or denies the truth when it has come to him? Is there not in Hell a [sufficient] residence for the disbelievers? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | There is no one more oppressive than the one who fabricates a lie with regards to Allah by attributing a partner to Him, or by rejecting the truth that His Messenger has brought to him. Undoubtedly there is an abode in Hell for the disbelievers, and those like them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उस व्यक्ति से बढ़कर ज़ालिम कौन होगा जो अल्लाह पर थोपकर झूठ घड़े या सत्य को झुठलाए, जबकि वह उसके पास आ चुका हो? क्या इनकार करनेवालों का ठौर-ठिकाना जहन्नम नें नहीं होगा? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जो शख्स ख़ुदा पर झूठ बोहतान बॉधे या जब उसके पास कोई सच्ची बात आए तो झुठला दे इससे बढ़कर ज़ालिम कौन होगा क्या (इन) काफिरों का ठिकाना जहन्नुम में नहीं है (ज़रुर है) |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उस व्यक्ति से बढ़कर अत्याचारी कोई नहीं है, जिसने अल्लाह पर झूठ गढ़कर उसके लिए साझीदार ठहराया, या उस सत्य को झुठला दिया जो उसका रसूल लेकर आया है। इसमें कोई शक नहीं है कि जहन्नम में काफ़िरों और उन जैसे लोगों के लिए एक निवास स्थान है। |
| Ayah 69 |
| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ جاهَدوا فينا لَنَهدِيَنَّهُم سُبُلَنا ۚ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لَمَعَ المُحسِنينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena jahadoo feena lanahdiyannahum subulana wainna Allaha lamaAAa almuhsineena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena jaahadoo feenaa lanahdiyannahum subulana; wa innal laaha lama'al muhsineen |
| English (Pickthall) | As for those who strive in Us, We surely guide them to Our paths, and lo! Allah is with the good. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And those who strive in Our (cause),- We will certainly guide them to our Paths: For verily Allah is with those who do right. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And those who strive for Us - We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And those who strive hard in My cause, seeking My pleasure, I will certainly grant them the ability to tread the straight path. Indeed, Allah is with those who do good by helping, assisting and guiding them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | रहे वे लोग जिन्होंने हमारे मार्ग में मिलकर प्रयास किया, हम उन्हें अवश्य अपने मार्ग दिखाएँगे। निस्संदेह अल्लाह सुकर्मियों के साथ है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जिन लोगों ने हमारी राह में जिहाद किया उन्हें हम ज़रुर अपनी राह की हिदायत करेंगे और इसमें शक नही कि ख़ुदा नेकोकारों का साथी है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जिन लोगों ने हमारी प्रसन्नता की खोज में अपने आपसे संघर्ष किया, हम उन्हें सीधे रास्ते पर चलने का सामर्थ्य प्रदान करेंगे। और निःसंदेह अल्लाह सहायता, समर्थन और मार्गदर्शन के साथ नेकी करने वालों के साथ है। |
