| عَرَبِي | في أَدنَى الأَرضِ وَهُم مِن بَعدِ غَلَبِهِم سَيَغلِبونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fee adna alardi wahum min baAAdi ghalabihim sayaghliboona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Feee adnal ardi wa hummim ba'di ghalabihim sa ya ghliboon |
| English (Pickthall) | In the nearer land, and they, after their defeat will be victorious |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | In a land close by; but they, (even) after (this) defeat of theirs, will soon be victorious- |

| عَرَبِي | في بِضعِ سِنينَ ۗ لِلَّهِ الأَمرُ مِن قَبلُ وَمِن بَعدُ ۚ وَيَومَئِذٍ يَفرَحُ المُؤمِنونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fee bidAAi sineena lillahi alamru min qablu wamin baAAdu wayawmaithin yafrahu almuminoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fee bid'i sineen; lillaahil amru min qablu wa mim ba'd; wa yawma'iziny yafrahul mu'minoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Within ten years - Allah's is the command in the former case and in the latter - and in that day believers will rejoice |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Within a few years. With Allah is the Decision, in the past and in the Future: on that Day shall the Believers rejoice- |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | कुछ ही समय में, जो तीन साल से कम और दस साल से अधिक नहीं होगा। रूमियों के जीतने से पहले और उसके बाद, सारा मामला अल्लाह के अधिकार में है। और जिस दिन रूमी फारस पर विजयी होंगे, उस दिन ईमान वालों को खुशी होगी। |

| عَرَبِي | بِنَصرِ اللَّهِ ۚ يَنصُرُ مَن يَشاءُ ۖ وَهُوَ العَزيزُ الرَّحيمُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Binasri Allahi yansuru man yashao wahuwa alAAazeezu alrraheemu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Binasril laa; yansuru mai yashaaa'u wa Huwal 'Azeezur Raheem |
| English (Pickthall) | In Allah's help to victory. He helpeth to victory whom He will. He is the Mighty, the Merciful. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | With the help of Allah. He helps whom He will, and He is exalted in might, most merciful. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | In the victory of Allah. He gives victory to whom He wills, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. |

| عَرَبِي | وَعدَ اللَّهِ ۖ لا يُخلِفُ اللَّهُ وَعدَهُ وَلٰكِنَّ أَكثَرَ النّاسِ لا يَعلَمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | WaAAda Allahi la yukhlifu Allahu waAAdahu walakinna akthara alnnasi la yaAAlamoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa'dal laahi laa yukhliful laahu wa'dahoo wa laakin na aksaran naasi laa ya'lamoon |
| English (Pickthall) | It is a promise of Allah. Allah faileth not His promise, but most of mankind know not. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | (It is) the promise of Allah. Never does Allah depart from His promise: but most men understand not. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [It is] the promise of Allah. Allah does not fail in His promise, but most of the people do not know. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | This victory was a promise from Allah, and with its fulfilment, the believers will increase in their conviction of Allah’s promise of victory being true. As for the majority of people, they do not understand this due to their disbelief. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | यह सहायता (जीत) सर्वशक्तिमान अल्लाह की ओर से एक वादा था। अल्लाह अपना वादा नहीं तोड़ता है, और इसके पूरा होने से ईमान वालों का अल्लाह की सहायता के वादे पर विश्वास बढ़ जाता है। लेकिन अधिकतर लोग अपने कुफ़्र (अविश्वास) के कारण इसे नहीं समझते हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | يَعلَمونَ ظاهِرًا مِنَ الحَياةِ الدُّنيا وَهُم عَنِ الآخِرَةِ هُم غافِلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | YaAAlamoona thahiran mina alhayati alddunya wahum AAani alakhirati hum ghafiloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ya'lamoona zaahiram minal hayaatid dunya wa hum 'anil Aakhirati hum ghaafiloon |
| English (Pickthall) | They know only some appearance of the life of the world, and are heedless of the Hereafter. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They know but the outer (things) in the life of this world: but of the End of things they are heedless. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | They know what is apparent of the worldly life, but they, of the Hereafter, are unaware. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They do not know faith and the rulings of the Shariah; they only know of the superficial matters of worldly life, related to earning a livelihood, whilst they turn away from the real life of the afterlife, not paying any attention to it. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वे ईमान और शरीयत के नियमों से अनभिज्ञ हैं। वे केवल सांसारिक जीवन के कुछ बाहरी स्वरूप को जानते हैं, जो जीविका कमाने और भौतिक सभ्यता के निर्माण से संबंधित है। जबकि वे आख़िरत से, जो वास्तविक जीवन का घर है, मुँह फेरे हुए हैं, उसपर कोई ध्यान नहीं देते हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | أَوَلَم يَتَفَكَّروا في أَنفُسِهِم ۗ ما خَلَقَ اللَّهُ السَّماواتِ وَالأَرضَ وَما بَينَهُما إِلّا بِالحَقِّ وَأَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ۗ وَإِنَّ كَثيرًا مِنَ النّاسِ بِلِقاءِ رَبِّهِم لَكافِرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Awalam yatafakkaroo fee anfusihim ma khalaqa Allahu alssamawati waalarda wama baynahuma illa bialhaqqi waajalin musamman wainna katheeran mina alnnasi biliqai rabbihim lakafiroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Awalam yatafakkaroo feee anfusihim; maa khalaqal laahus samaawaati wal arda wa maa bainahumaaa illaa bil haqqi wa ajalim musammaa; wa inna kaseeram minan naasi biliqaaa'i Rabbihim lakaafiroon |
| English (Pickthall) | Have they not pondered upon themselves? Allah created not the heavens and the earth, and that which is between them, save with truth and for a destined end. But truly many of mankind are disbelievers in the meeting with their Lord. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Do they not reflect in their own minds? Not but for just ends and for a term appointed, did Allah create the heavens and the earth, and all between them: yet are there truly many among men who deny the meeting with their Lord (at the Resurrection)! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Do they not contemplate within themselves? Allah has not created the heavens and the earth and what is between them except in truth and for a specified term. And indeed, many of the people, in [the matter of] the meeting with their Lord, are disbelievers. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Do these rejecting idolaters not ponder in themselves as to how Allah has created them and arranged them together in their most complete forms? Allah did not create the heavens and the earth except for a just cause; He did not create them in vain and He appointed a fixed time for their existence in the world. Indeed, many people reject the meeting of their Lord on the Day of Judgement, and that is why they are not prepared for the resurrection by doing good deeds which are acceptable to their Lord. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | क्या उन्होंने अपने आप में सोच-विचार नहीं किया? अल्लाह ने आकाशों और धरती को और जो कुछ उनके बीच है सत्य के साथ और एक नियत अवधि ही के लिए पैदा किया है। किन्तु बहुत-से लोग अपने प्रभु के मिलन का इनकार करते है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | क्या उन लोगों ने अपने दिल में (इतना भी) ग़ौर नहीं किया कि ख़ुदा ने सारे आसमान और ज़मीन को और जो चीजे उन दोनों के दरमेयान में हैं बस बिल्कुल ठीक और एक मुक़र्रर मियाद के वास्ते पैदा किया है और कुछ शक नहीं कि बहुतेरे लोग तो अपने परवरदिगार की (बारगाह) के हुज़ूर में (क़यामत) ही को किसी तरह नहीं मानते |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्या इन झुठलाने वाले मुश्रिकों ने अपने बारे में सोच-विचार नहीं किया कि अल्लाह ने उन्हें कैसे पैदा किया और ठीक-ठाक बनाया? अल्लाह ने आकाशों और धरती को और जो कुछ उनके बीच है सत्य के साथ ही पैदा किया है। उसने उन्हें व्यर्थ पैदा नहीं किया। तथा उनके लिए दुनिया में बने रहने के लिए एक निश्चित समय सीमा निर्धारित की। निश्चित रूप से बहुत-से लोग क़ियामत के दिन अपने रब से मिलने का इनकार करते हैं। इसलिए वे अपने पालनहार के निकट पसंदीदा नेक कार्य करके पुनर्जीवन के लिए तैयारी नहीं करते हैं। |
| Ayah 9 |
| عَرَبِي | أَوَلَم يَسيروا فِي الأَرضِ فَيَنظُروا كَيفَ كانَ عاقِبَةُ الَّذينَ مِن قَبلِهِم ۚ كانوا أَشَدَّ مِنهُم قُوَّةً وَأَثارُوا الأَرضَ وَعَمَروها أَكثَرَ مِمّا عَمَروها وَجاءَتهُم رُسُلُهُم بِالبَيِّناتِ ۖ فَما كانَ اللَّهُ لِيَظلِمَهُم وَلٰكِن كانوا أَنفُسَهُم يَظلِمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Awalam yaseeroo fee alardi fayanthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena min qablihim kanoo ashadda minhum quwwatan waatharoo alarda waAAamarooha akthara mimma AAamarooha wajaathum rusuluhum bialbayyinati fama kana Allahu liyathlimahum walakin kanoo anfusahum yathlimoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Awalm yaseeroo fil ardi fa-yanzuroo kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul lazeena min qablihim; kaanooo ashadda minhhum quwwatanw wa asaarul arda wa 'amaroohaaa aksara mimmaa 'amaroohaa wa jaaa'athum Rusuluhum bil baiyinaati famaa kaanal laahu liyazli mahum wa laakin kaanooo anfusahum yazlimoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Have they not travelled in the land and seen the nature of the consequence for those who were before them? They were stronger than these in power, and they dug the earth and built upon it more than these have built. Messengers of their own came unto them with clear proofs (of Allah's Sovereignty). Surely Allah wronged them not, but they did wrong themselves. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Do they not travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those before them? They were superior to them in strength: they tilled the soil and populated it in greater numbers than these have done: there came to them their messengers with Clear (Signs). (Which they rejected, to their own destruction): It was not Allah Who wronged them, but they wronged their own souls. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Have they not traveled through the earth and observed how was the end of those before them? They were greater than them in power, and they plowed the earth and built it up more than they have built it up, and their messengers came to them with clear evidences. And Allah would not ever have wronged them, but they were wronging themselves. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Do these people not travel the earth so that they can ponder over what the outcome of the nations who rejected Allah before them was? Those nations were much stronger than them; they adapted the land for farming and construction, and populated it much more than these people have. Their Messengers brought clear proofs and evidences for the oneness of Allah but they were rejected. So when Allah punished them, He was not oppressive, rather they themselves were oppressive by leading themselves to destruction by disbelief. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | क्या वे धरती में चले-फिरे नहीं कि देखते कि उन लोगों का कैसा परिणाम हुआ जो उनसे पहले थे? वे शक्ति में उनसे अधिक बलवान थे और उन्होंने धरती को उपजाया और उससे कहीं अधिक उसे आबाद किया जितना उन्होंने आबाद किया था। और उनके पास उनके रसूल प्रत्यक्ष प्रमाण लेकर आए। फिर अल्लाह ऐसा न था कि उनपर ज़ुल्म करता। किन्तु वे स्वयं ही अपने आप पर ज़ुल्म करते थे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | क्या ये लोग रुए ज़मीन पर चले फिरे नहीं कि देखते कि जो लोग इनसे पहले गुज़र गए उनका अन्जाम कैसा (बुरा) हुआ हालॉकि जो लोग उनसे पहले क़ूवत में भी कहीं ज्यादा थे और जिस क़दर ज़मीन उन लोगों ने आबाद की है उससे कहीं ज्यादा (ज़मीन की) उन लोगों ने काश्त भी की थी और उसको आबाद भी किया था और उनके पास भी उनके पैग़म्बर वाज़ेए व रौशन मौजिज़े लेकर आ चुके थे (मगर उन लोगों ने न माना) तो ख़ुदा ने उन पर कोई ज़ुल्म नहीं किया मगर वह लोग (कुफ्र व सरकशी से) आप अपने ऊपर ज़ुल्म करते रहे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्या ये लोग धरती में नहीं चले-फिरे कि सोच-विचार करते कि उनसे पूर्व झुठलाने वाले समुदायों का अंत कैसा हुआ। ये समुदाय इनसे अधिक शक्तिशाली थे, तथा उन्होंने धरती को खेती और निर्माण के लिए उलटा-पलटा और उसे आबाद किया उससे कहीं अधिक जितना इन लोगों ने आबाद किया। और उनके पास उनके रसूल अल्लाह के एकेश्वरवाद के स्पष्ट प्रमाणों और तर्कों के साथ आए, परंतु उन्होंने झुठला दिया। तो अल्लाह ने उन्हें विनष्ट करके उनपर ज़ुल्म नहीं किया, लेकिन वे अपने कुफ़्र के कारण खुद को विनाश से पीड़ित करके अपने ऊपर अत्याचार करते थे। |
| Ayah 10 |
| عَرَبِي | ثُمَّ كانَ عاقِبَةَ الَّذينَ أَساءُوا السّوأىٰ أَن كَذَّبوا بِآياتِ اللَّهِ وَكانوا بِها يَستَهزِئونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Thumma kana AAaqibata allatheena asaoo alssooa an kaththaboo biayati Allahi wakanoo biha yastahzioona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Summa kaana'aaqibatal lazeena asaaa'us sooo aaa an kazzaboo bi aayaatil laahi wa kaanoo bihaa yastahzi'oon |
| English (Pickthall) | Then evil was the consequence to those who dealt in evil, because they denied the revelations of Allah and made a mock of them. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | In the long run evil in the extreme will be the End of those who do evil; for that they rejected the Signs of Allah, and held them up to ridicule. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Then the end of those who did evil was the worst [consequence] because they denied the signs of Allah and used to ridicule them. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Then, the outcome of those who did evil deeds i.e. idolatry and sins, was an extremely evil outcome. It was because they rejected the signs of Allah and would mock at and make fun of them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | फिर जिन लोगों ने बुरा किया था उनका परिणाम बुरा हुआ, क्योंकि उन्होंने अल्लाह की आयतों को झुठलाया और उनका उपहास करते रहे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | फिर जिन लोगों ने बुराई की थी उनका अन्जाम बुरा ही हुआ क्योंकि उन लोगों ने ख़ुदा की आयतों को झुठलाया था और उनके साथ मसखरा पन किया किए |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर उन लोगों का परिणाम, जिनके कर्म अल्लाह के साथ शिर्क और बुरे कामों के करने के कारण बुरे थे, बहुत ही बुरा हुआ। क्योंकि उन्होंने अल्लाह की आयतों को झुठलाया तथा वे उनका मज़ाक और हँसी उड़ाया करते थे। |
| Ayah 11 |
| عَرَبِي | اللَّهُ يَبدَأُ الخَلقَ ثُمَّ يُعيدُهُ ثُمَّ إِلَيهِ تُرجَعونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Allahu yabdao alkhalqa thumma yuAAeeduhu thumma ilayhi turjaAAoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Allaahu yabda'ul khalqa summa yu'eeduhoo summa ilaihi turja'oon |
| English (Pickthall) | Allah produceth creation, then He reproduceth it, then unto Him ye will be returned. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | It is Allah Who begins (the process of) creation; then repeats it; then shall ye be brought back to Him. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Allah begins creation; then He will repeat it; then to Him you will be returned. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Allah starts the creation without any previous example, then He causes it to die, then will resurrect it. Then to Him alone will you return to be accounted for and requited on the Day of Judgement. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अल्लाह ही बिना किसी पूर्व उदाहरण के सृष्टि का आरंभ करता है। फिर उसे नष्ट कर देगा। फिर उसे वापस लौटाएगा। फिर तुम क़ियामत के दिन हिसाब और बदले के लिए उसी अकेले की ओर लौटाए जाओगे। |
| Ayah 12 |
| عَرَبِي | وَيَومَ تَقومُ السّاعَةُ يُبلِسُ المُجرِمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wayawma taqoomu alssaAAatu yublisu almujrimoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa yawma taqoomus Saa'atu yublisul mujrimoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And in the day when the Hour riseth the unrighteous will despair. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | On the Day that the Hour will be established, the guilty will be struck dumb with despair. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And the Day the Hour appears the criminals will be in despair. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | On the day when the hour arrives, the criminals shall lose hope in the mercy of Allah and their hopes in Allah's mercy will end just as their arguments/excuses will end. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और जिस दिन क़ियामत क़ायम होगी, अपराधी लोग अल्लाह की दया से निराश हो जाएँगे और उसके बारे में उनकी आशा समाप्त हो जाएगी। क्योंकि उनके पास अल्लाह के साथ कुफ़्र करने का कोई तर्क नहीं रह जाएगा। |
| Ayah 13 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَم يَكُن لَهُم مِن شُرَكائِهِم شُفَعاءُ وَكانوا بِشُرَكائِهِم كافِرينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walam yakun lahum min shurakaihim shufaAAao wakanoo bishurakaihim kafireena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa lam yakul lahum min shurakaaa'ihim shufa'aaa'u wa kaanoo bishurakaaa'ihim kaafireen |
| English (Pickthall) | There will be none to intercede for them of those whom they made equal with Allah. And they will reject their partners (whom they ascribed unto Him). |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | No intercessor will they have among their "Partners" and they will (themselves) reject their "Partners". |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And there will not be for them among their [alleged] partners any intercessors, and they will [then] be disbelievers in their partners. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They will not have anyone to intercede for them from those whom they used to worship besides Allah will not intercede for them, to save them from the punishment. Rather, they will reject one another. The idolaters will reject those they used to worship due to them forsakening them in their time of need; they are all equal in being doomed. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उनके ठहराए हुए साझीदारों में से कोई उनका सिफ़ारिश करनेवाला न होगा और वे स्वयं भी अपने साझीदारों का इनकार करेंगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और उनके (बनाए हुए ख़ुदा के) शरीकों में से कोई उनका सिफारिशी न होगा और ये लोग ख़़ुद भी अपने शरीकों से इन्कार कर जाएँगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और उनके लिए उनके साझियों में से (जिनकी वे दुनिया में पूजा करते थे) उन्हें यातना से बचाने के लिए सिफ़ारिश करने वाले नहीं होंगे। और वे अपने साझियों का इनकार कर बैठेंगे। क्योंकि उन्होंने ज़रूरत पड़ने पर उन्हें छोड़ दिया। इसलिए कि वे सभी तबाही में बराबर हैं। |
| Ayah 14 |
| عَرَبِي | وَيَومَ تَقومُ السّاعَةُ يَومَئِذٍ يَتَفَرَّقونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wayawma taqoomu alssaAAatu yawmaithin yatafarraqoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa Yawma taqoomus Saa'atu Yawma'iziny yatafarraqoon |
| English (Pickthall) | In the day when the Hour cometh, in that day they will be sundered. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | On the Day that the Hour will be established,- that Day shall (all men) be sorted out. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And the Day the Hour appears - that Day they will become separated. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And on the day the hour arrives, the people will all be divided in requital according to their deeds in the world. Some will be elevated to the highest ranks, while others will be demoted to the lowest of the low. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जिस दिन क़ियामत क़ायम होगी, उस दिन लोग, दुनिया में अपने कर्मों के अनुसार प्रतिफल में अलग-अलग होंगे। कोई सबसे ऊँचे भाग में होगा, तो कोई सबसे निचले भाग में धकेल दिया जाएगा। |
| Ayah 15 |
| عَرَبِي | فَأَمَّا الَّذينَ آمَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّالِحاتِ فَهُم في رَوضَةٍ يُحبَرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faamma allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati fahum fee rawdatin yuhbaroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa ammal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati fahum fee rawdatiny yuhbaroon |
| English (Pickthall) | As for those who believed and did good works, they will be made happy in a Garden. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Then those who have believed and worked righteous deeds, shall be made happy in a Mead of Delight. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And as for those who had believed and done righteous deeds, they will be in a garden [of Paradise], delighted. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | As for those who have faith in Allah and did good deeds pleasing to Him, they will be in paradise, happy with whatever everlasting bounties they find within it. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अतः जो लोग ईमान लाए और उन्होंने अच्छे कर्म किए, वे एक बाग़ में प्रसन्नतापूर्वक रखे जाएँगे |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो लोग अल्लाह पर ईमान लाए और उन्होंने अल्लाह के निकट पसंदीदा अच्छे कार्य किए, वे जन्नत में उसमें प्राप्त होने वाली स्थायी नेमतों से खुश रखे जाएँगे, जो कभी भी समाप्त नहीं होंगी। |
| Ayah 16 |
| عَرَبِي | وَأَمَّا الَّذينَ كَفَروا وَكَذَّبوا بِآياتِنا وَلِقاءِ الآخِرَةِ فَأُولٰئِكَ فِي العَذابِ مُحضَرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waamma allatheena kafaroo wakaththaboo biayatina waliqai alakhirati faolaika fee alAAathabi muhdaroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa ammal lazeena kafaroo wa kazzaboo bi-Aayaatinaa wa liqaaa'il Aakhirati faulaaa'ika fil'azaabi muhdaroon |
| English (Pickthall) | But as for those who disbelieved and denied Our revelations, and denied the meeting of the Hereafter, such will be brought to doom. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And those who have rejected Faith and falsely denied our Signs and the meeting of the Hereafter,- such shall be brought forth to Punishment. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But as for those who disbelieved and denied Our verses and the meeting of the Hereafter, those will be brought into the punishment [to remain]. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | As for those who disbelieve in Allah and reject His verses that were revealed to His Messengers, the resurrection and the accounting, they are the ones who will constantly punished. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | किन्तु जिन लोगों ने इनकार किया और हमारी आयतों और आख़िरत की मुलाक़ात को झुठलाया, वे लाकर यातनाग्रस्त किए जाएँगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | मगर जिन लोगों के कुफ्र एख्तेयार किया और हमारी आयतों और आखेरत की हुज़ूरी को झुठलाया तो ये लोग अज़ाब में गिरफ्तार किए जाएँगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और जिन लोगों ने अल्लाह का इनकार किया और हमारे रसलू पर उतारी गई हमारी आयतों को झुठलाया, और मरणोपरांत दोबारा जीवित किए जाने और हिसाब को झुठलाया, तो वे यातना के लिए प्रस्तुत किए जाएँगे और सदा यातना ही में पड़े होंगे। |
| Ayah 17 |
| عَرَبِي | فَسُبحانَ اللَّهِ حينَ تُمسونَ وَحينَ تُصبِحونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fasubhana Allahi heena tumsoona waheena tusbihoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa Subhaanal laahi heena tumsoona wa heena tusbihoon |
| English (Pickthall) | So glory be to Allah when ye enter the night and when ye enter the morning - |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | So (give) glory to Allah, when ye reach eventide and when ye rise in the morning; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So exalted is Allah when you reach the evening and when you reach the morning. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So glorify Allah when you enter the night, the time of the two night prayers: Al-Maghrib and Al-‘Ishā, and also glorify Him when you enter the morning: the time of the Fajr prayer. |

| Ayah 18 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَهُ الحَمدُ فِي السَّماواتِ وَالأَرضِ وَعَشِيًّا وَحينَ تُظهِرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walahu alhamdu fee alssamawati waalardi waAAashiyyan waheena tuthhiroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa lahul hamdu fis samaawaati wal ardi wa 'ashiyyanw wa heena tuzhiroon |
| English (Pickthall) | Unto Him be praise in the heavens and the earth! - and at the sun's decline and in the noonday. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Yea, to Him be praise, in the heavens and on earth; and in the late afternoon and when the day begins to decline. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And to Him is [due all] praise throughout the heavens and the earth. And [exalted is He] at night and when you are at noon. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And for Allah, may He be glorified, is all praise; the angels praise Him in the heavens and His creations praise Him on Earth. And glorify Him when you enter the evening: the time of the ‘Asr prayer, together with glorifying Him at the time of Aẓ-Ẓuhr. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | केवल उसी महिमावान के लिए सब प्रशंसा है; आकाशों में उसके फ़रिश्ते उसकी प्रशंसा करते हैं, और धरती पर उसकी मखलूक़ात उसकी प्रशंसा करती हैं। और तुम उसकी पवित्रता बयान करो, जब तुम शाम में प्रवेश करते हो, जो कि अस्र की नमाज़ का समय है, तथा उसकी पवित्रता बयान करो, जब तुम ज़ुहर के समय में प्रवेश करते हो। |

| عَرَبِي | يُخرِجُ الحَيَّ مِنَ المَيِّتِ وَيُخرِجُ المَيِّتَ مِنَ الحَيِّ وَيُحيِي الأَرضَ بَعدَ مَوتِها ۚ وَكَذٰلِكَ تُخرَجونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yukhriju alhayya mina almayyiti wayukhriju almayyita mina alhayyi wayuhyee alarda baAAda mawtiha wakathalika tukhrajoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yukhrijul haiya minal maiyiti wa yukhrijul maiyita minal haiyi wa yuhyil arda ba'da mawtihaa; wa kazaalika tukhrajoon |
| English (Pickthall) | He bringeth forth the living from the dead, and He bringeth forth the dead from the living, and He reviveth the earth after her death. And even so will ye be brought forth. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | It is He Who brings out the living from the dead, and brings out the dead from the living, and Who gives life to the earth after it is dead: and thus shall ye be brought out (from the dead). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | He brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living and brings to life the earth after its lifelessness. And thus will you be brought out. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | He extracts the living from the dead, like His extracting a human from a drop of semen and a chick from an egg. He also extracts the dead from the living, like His extracting a drop of semen from a human and an egg from a chicken. He revives the earth after it has become dry by sending down rain and regrowing it. Likewise you will be resurrected from your graves for accountability and requital. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वह जीवित को मृत से निकालता है और मृत को जीवित से, और धरती को उसकी मृत्यु के पश्चात जीवन प्रदान करता है। इसी प्रकार तुम भी निकाले जाओगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | वही ज़िन्दा को मुर्दे से निकालता है और वही मुर्दे को जिन्दा से पैदा करता है और ज़मीन को मरने (परती होने) के बाद ज़िन्दा (आबाद) करता है और इसी तरह तुम लोग भी (मरने के बाद निकाले जाओगे) |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वह जीवित को मृत से निकालता है, जैसे इनसान को नुत्फ़ा (शुक्राणु) से निकालता है और चूज़े को अंडे से निकालता है। और मृत को जीवित से निकालता है, जैसे नुत्फ़ा (शुक्राणु) को इनसान से और अंडे को मुर्गी से निकालता है। और धरती को उसके सूखने के बाद बारिश उतारकर और उसे अंकुरित करके पुनर्जीवित करता है। तथा धरती को उसे अंकुरित करके पुनर्जीवित करने की तरह, तुम अपनी क़ब्रों से हिसाब और बदले के लिए निकाले जाओगे। |

| عَرَبِي | وَمِن آياتِهِ أَن خَلَقَكُم مِن تُرابٍ ثُمَّ إِذا أَنتُم بَشَرٌ تَنتَشِرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wamin ayatihi an khalaqakum min turabin thumma itha antum basharun tantashiroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa min Aayaatiheee an khalaqakum min turaabin summa izaaa antum basharun tantashiroon |
| English (Pickthall) | And of His signs is this: He created you of dust, and behold you human beings, ranging widely! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Among His Signs in this, that He created you from dust; and then,- behold, ye are men scattered (far and wide)! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And of His signs is that He created you from dust; then, suddenly you were human beings dispersing [throughout the earth]. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | From among the great signs of Allah which prove His power and oneness, is that He created you - O people! - from earth when He created your father from clay, then you soon became many humans increasing through reproduction, and spreading over the earth’s east and west. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और यह उसकी निशानियों में से है कि उसने तुम्हें मिट्टी से पैदा किया। फिर क्या देखते है कि तुम मानव हो, फैलते जा रहे हो |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और उस (की कुदरत) की निशानियों में ये भी है कि उसने तुमको मिट्टी से पैदा किया फिर यकायक तुम आदमी बनकर (ज़मीन पर) चलने फिरने लगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अल्लाह की शक्ति और एकता को दर्शाने वाली उसकी महान निशानियों में से यह है कि : उसने (ऐ लोगो!) तुम्हें मिट्टी से पैदा किया, जब उसने तुम्हारे पिता (आदम) को मिट्टी से बनाया, फिर अचानक तुम मनुष्य हो, जो प्रजनन के माध्यम से बढ़ रहे हो और धरती के पूर्व और पश्चिम में फैल रहे हो। |

| عَرَبِي | وَمِن آياتِهِ أَن خَلَقَ لَكُم مِن أَنفُسِكُم أَزواجًا لِتَسكُنوا إِلَيها وَجَعَلَ بَينَكُم مَوَدَّةً وَرَحمَةً ۚ إِنَّ في ذٰلِكَ لَآياتٍ لِقَومٍ يَتَفَكَّرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wamin ayatihi an khalaqa lakum min anfusikum azwajan litaskunoo ilayha wajaAAala baynakum mawaddatan warahmatan inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yatafakkaroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa min Aayaatiheee an khalaqa lakum min anfusikum azwaajal litaskunooo ilaihaa wa ja'ala bainakum mawad datanw wa rahmah; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil liqawminy yatafakkaroon |
| English (Pickthall) | And of His signs is this: He created for you helpmeets from yourselves that ye might find rest in them, and He ordained between you love and mercy. Lo! herein indeed are portents for folk who reflect. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And among His Signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell in tranquillity with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts): verily in that are Signs for those who reflect. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquillity in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | From also from among the great signs of Allah which prove His power and oneness, is that He created for you - O men! - wives from among your species so that you may find contentment in them due to your special compatibility, and He put love and affection between you. Indeed, in the aforementioned are clear proofs and evidences for people who contemplate, because they are the ones who benefit by using their intellect. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और यह भी उसकी निशानियों में से है कि उसने तुम्हारी ही सहजाति से तुम्हारे लिए जोड़े पैदा किए, ताकि तुम उसके पास शान्ति प्राप्त करो। और उसने तुम्हारे बीच प्रेंम और दयालुता पैदा की। और निश्चय ही इसमें बहुत-सी निशानियाँ है उन लोगों के लिए जो सोच-विचार करते है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और उसी की (क़ुदरत) की निशानियों में से एक ये (भी) है कि उसने तुम्हारे वास्ते तुम्हारी ही जिन्स की बीवियाँ पैदा की ताकि तुम उनके साथ रहकर चैन करो और तुम लोगों के दरमेयान प्यार और उलफ़त पैदा कर दी इसमें शक नहीं कि इसमें ग़ौर करने वालों के वास्ते (क़ुदरते ख़ुदा की) यक़ीनी बहुत सी निशानियाँ हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | इसी तरह उसकी शक्ति और एकता को दर्शाने वाली उसकी महान निशानियों में से यह भी है कि (ऐ पुरुषो) उसने तुम्हारे लिए तुम्हारे ही वर्ग से पत्नियाँ पैदा कीं, ताकि तुम्हारे बीच सामंजस्य के कारण उनके पास तुम्हें राहत व आराम मिले। और उनके और तुम्हारे बीच प्रेम और करुणा रख दी। निश्चय ही इसमें उन लोगों के लिए स्पष्ट सबूत और संकेत हैं, जो सोच-विचार करते हैं, क्योंकि वही लोग अपने विवेक का प्रयोग करके लाभ उठाते हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | وَمِن آياتِهِ خَلقُ السَّماواتِ وَالأَرضِ وَاختِلافُ أَلسِنَتِكُم وَأَلوانِكُم ۚ إِنَّ في ذٰلِكَ لَآياتٍ لِلعالِمينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wamin ayatihi khalqu alssamawati waalardi waikhtilafu alsinatikum waalwanikum inna fee thalika laayatin lilAAalimeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa min Aayaatihee khalqus samaawaati wal aardi wakhtilaafu alsinatikum wa alwaanikum; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil lil'aalimeen |
| English (Pickthall) | And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of your languages and colours. Lo! herein indeed are portents for men of knowledge. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And among His Signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the variations in your languages and your colours: verily in that are Signs for those who know. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and the diversity of your languages and your colors. Indeed in that are signs for those of knowledge. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और उस (की कुदरत) की निशानियों में आसमानो और ज़मीन का पैदा करना और तुम्हारी ज़बानो और रंगतो का एख़तेलाफ भी है यकीनन इसमें वाक़िफकारों के लिए बहुत सी निशानियाँ हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उसकी शक्ति और एकता को दर्शाने वाली उसकी महान निशानियों में से : आकाशों का निर्माण तथा पृथ्वी का निर्माण है। तथा उन्हीं में से तुम्हारी भाषाओं की विविधता और तुम्हारे रंगों का अलग-अलग होना है। निश्चय यह जो कुछ उल्लेख हुआ है, उसमें ज्ञान और अंतर्दृष्टि रखने वाले लोगों के लिए प्रमाण और संकेत हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | وَمِن آياتِهِ مَنامُكُم بِاللَّيلِ وَالنَّهارِ وَابتِغاؤُكُم مِن فَضلِهِ ۚ إِنَّ في ذٰلِكَ لَآياتٍ لِقَومٍ يَسمَعونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wamin ayatihi manamukum biallayli waalnnahari waibtighaokum min fadlihi inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yasmaAAoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa min Aayaatihee manaamukum bil laili wannahaari wabtighaaa'ukum min fadlih; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil liqawminy yasma'oon |
| English (Pickthall) | And of His signs is your slumber by night and by day, and your seeking of His bounty. Lo! herein indeed are portents for folk who heed. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And among His Signs is the sleep that ye take by night and by day, and the quest that ye (make for livelihood) out of His Bounty: verily in that are signs for those who hearken. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And of His signs is your sleep by night and day and your seeking of His bounty. Indeed in that are signs for a people who listen. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | From among His great signs which prove His power and oneness, is your sleeping by night and wakefulness by day, so that you may rest from the tiredness of your work. And from among His signs is that He made the day so that you may disperse, seeking sustenance from your Lord. Indeed, in the aforementioned are proofs and evidences for people who listen attentively while contemplating and accepting. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और उसकी निशानियों में से तुम्हारा रात और दिन का सोना और तुम्हारा उसके अनुग्रह की तलाश करना भी है। निश्चय ही इसमें निशानियाँ है उन लोगों के लिए जो सुनते है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और रात और दिन को तुम्हारा सोना और उसके फज़ल व करम (रोज़ी) की तलाश करना भी उसकी (क़ुदरत की) निशानियों से है बेशक जो लोग सुनते हैं उनके लिए इसमें (क़ुदरते ख़ुदा की) बहुत सी निशानियाँ हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और उसकी शक्ति और एकता को दर्शाने वाली उसकी महान निशानियों में से : तुम्हारा रात में सोना तथा तुम्हारा दिन के समय सोना है, ताकि तुम अपने काम की थकान से आराम हासिल करो। तथा उसकी निशानियों में से एक यह है कि उसने तुम्हारे लिए दिन बनाया, ताकि तुम उसमें अपने पालनहार की रोज़ी तलाश करते हुए फैल जाओ। निश्चित रूप से यह जो कुछ उल्लेख हुआ है, उसमें उन लोगों के लिए बहुत-से प्रमाण और संकेत हैं, जो चिंतन करने और स्वीकार करने के इरादे से सुनते हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | وَمِن آياتِهِ يُريكُمُ البَرقَ خَوفًا وَطَمَعًا وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ السَّماءِ ماءً فَيُحيي بِهِ الأَرضَ بَعدَ مَوتِها ۚ إِنَّ في ذٰلِكَ لَآياتٍ لِقَومٍ يَعقِلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wamin ayatihi yureekumu albarqa khawfan watamaAAan wayunazzilu mina alssamai maan fayuhyee bihi alarda baAAda mawtiha inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yaAAqiloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa min Aayaatihee yureekumul barqa khawfanw wa tama'anw wa yunazzilu minas samaaa'i maaa'an fa yuhyee bihil arda ba'da mawtihaaa inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil liqawminy ya'qiloon |
| English (Pickthall) | And of His signs is this: He showeth you the lightning for a fear and for a hope, and sendeth down water from the sky, and thereby quickeneth the earth after her death. Lo! herein indeed are portents for folk who understand. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And among His Signs, He shows you the lightning, by way both of fear and of hope, and He sends down rain from the sky and with it gives life to the earth after it is dead: verily in that are Signs for those who are wise. |

He also sends down rainwater for you from the heavens, and revives the earth by the regrowth of plants after it has dried up. Indeed, in that are clear proofs and evidences for understanding people, so that they may draw conclusions by it on resurrection after death for accountability and requital. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और उसी की (क़ुदरत की) निशानियों में से एक ये भी है कि वह तुमको डराने वाला उम्मीद लाने के वास्ते बिजली दिखाता है और आसमान से पानी बरसाता है और उसके ज़रिए से ज़मीन को उसके परती होने के बाद आबाद करता है बेशक अक्लमंदों के वास्ते इसमें (क़ुदरते ख़ुदा की) बहुत सी दलीलें हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और उसकी शक्ति और एकता को दर्शाने वाली उसकी महान निशानियों में से : यह भी है कि वह तुम्हें आसमान में बिजली (की चमक) दिखाता है, और तुम्हारे लिए उसमें बिजली का भय और बारिश की लालच एकत्र कर देता है। और तुम्हारे लिए आसमान से बारिश का पानी उतारता है, फिर उसके द्वारा सूखी धरती को, उसमें पौधे उगाकर जीवित कर देता है। निश्चय ही इसमें उन लोगों के लिए स्पष्ट प्रमाण और संकेत हैं, जो समझ-बूझ रखते हैं। चुनाँचे वे इनसे मौत के बाद हिसाब और बदला के लिए पुनर्जीवित किए जाने का प्रमाण ग्रहण करते हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | وَمِن آياتِهِ أَن تَقومَ السَّماءُ وَالأَرضُ بِأَمرِهِ ۚ ثُمَّ إِذا دَعاكُم دَعوَةً مِنَ الأَرضِ إِذا أَنتُم تَخرُجونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wamin ayatihi an taqooma alssamao waalardu biamrihi thumma itha daAAakum daAAwatan mina alardi itha antum takhrujoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa min Aayaatihee an taqoomas samaaa'u wal ardu bi-amrih; summa izaa da'aakum da'watam minal ardi izaaa antum takhrujoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And of His signs is this: The heavens and the earth stand fast by His command, and afterward, when He calleth you, lo! from the earth ye will emerge. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And among His Signs is this, that heaven and earth stand by His Command: then when He calls you, by a single call, from the earth, behold, ye (straightway) come forth. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और अल्लाह की उसकी शक्ति और एकता को दर्शाने वाली निशानियों में से आकाश का बिने गिरे और धरती का बिना ध्वस्त हुए; उस महिमावान के आदेश से स्थापित होना है। फिर जब वह तुम्हें फ़रिश्ते के सूर में फूँकने के द्वारा धरती से बुलाएगा, तो अचानक तुम हिसाब और बदले के लिए अपनी क़ब्रों से निकल पड़ोगे। |

| عَرَبِي | وَلَهُ مَن فِي السَّماواتِ وَالأَرضِ ۖ كُلٌّ لَهُ قانِتونَ |

| English (Pickthall) | Unto Him belongeth whosoever is in the heavens and the earth. All are obedient unto Him. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो कोई भी आकाशों में है, सब अकेले उसी का है और जो कोई भी धरती में है, सब उसी का है, वही सबका मालिक, पैदा करने वाला और भाग्य-विधाता है। आकाशों और धरती की उसकी पैदा की हुई सारी चीज़ें उसकी आज्ञा के अधीन और उसके आदेश के प्रति समर्पित हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | وَهُوَ الَّذي يَبدَأُ الخَلقَ ثُمَّ يُعيدُهُ وَهُوَ أَهوَنُ عَلَيهِ ۚ وَلَهُ المَثَلُ الأَعلىٰ فِي السَّماواتِ وَالأَرضِ ۚ وَهُوَ العَزيزُ الحَكيمُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wahuwa allathee yabdao alkhalqa thumma yuAAeeduhu wahuwa ahwanu AAalayhi walahu almathalu alaAAla fee alssamawati waalardi wahuwa alAAazeezu alhakeemu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa Huwal lazee yabda'ul khalqa summa yu'eeduhoo wa huwa ahwanu 'alaih; wa lahul masalul la'laa fissamaawaati wal-ard; wa Huwal 'Azeezul Hakeem |
| English (Pickthall) | He it is Who produceth creation, then reproduceth it, and it is easier for Him. His is the Sublime Similitude in the heavens and the earth. He is the Mighty, the Wise. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | It is He Who begins (the process of) creation; then repeats it; and for Him it is most easy. To Him belongs the loftiest similitude (we can think of) in the heavens and the earth: for He is Exalted in Might, full of wisdom. |

Bringing it back is easier than initiating it, but both are easy for Him because whenever He intends something, He says “Be!” and it happens. For Him Mighty and Majestic is the highest of praise in whatever qualities of majesty and perfection he is praised with. He is the almighty who cannot be overcome, the Wise in His creation and decree. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वही है जो सृष्टि का आरम्भ करता है। फिर वही उसकी पुनरावृत्ति करेगा। और यह उसके लिए अधिक सरल है। आकाशों और धरती में उसी मिसाल (गुण) सर्वोच्च है। और वह अत्यन्त प्रभुत्वशाली, तत्वदर्शी हैं |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और वह ऐसा (क़ादिरे मुत्तालिक़ है जो मख़लूकात को पहली बार पैदा करता है फिर दोबारा (क़यामत के दिन) पैदा करेगा और ये उस पर बहुत आसान है और सारे आसमान व जमीन सबसे बालातर उसी की शान है और वही (सब पर) ग़ालिब हिकमत वाला है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वही महिमावान है, जो बिना किसी पूर्व उदाहरण के सृष्टि का आरंभ करता है। फिर उसको नष्ट करने के बाद उसे दोबारा पैदा करेगा। और दोबारा पैदा करना पहली बार पैदा करने की तुलना में अधिक आसान है। हालाँकि उसके लिए दोनों ही आसान हैं। क्योंकि वह जब किसी चीज़ को पैदा करना चाहता है, तो उससे कहता है : ''हो जा'', तो वह चीज़ हो जाती है। तथा अल्लाह अपनी महिमा और पूर्णता के सभी गुणों में सबसे उच्च गुण वाला है। वही वह प्रभुत्वशाली है, जिसे परास्त नहीं किया जा सकता। वह अपनी रचना और प्रबंधन में हिकमत वाला है। |
| Ayah 28 |
| عَرَبِي | ضَرَبَ لَكُم مَثَلًا مِن أَنفُسِكُم ۖ هَل لَكُم مِن ما مَلَكَت أَيمانُكُم مِن شُرَكاءَ في ما رَزَقناكُم فَأَنتُم فيهِ سَواءٌ تَخافونَهُم كَخيفَتِكُم أَنفُسَكُم ۚ كَذٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الآياتِ لِقَومٍ يَعقِلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Daraba lakum mathalan min anfusikum hal lakum mi mma malakat aymanukum min shurakaa fee ma razaqnakum faantum feehi sawaon takhafoonahum kakheefatikum anfusakum kathalika nufassilu alayati liqawmin yaAAqiloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Daraba lakum masalam min anfusikum hal lakum mimmaa malakat aymaanukum min shurakaaa'a fee maa razaqnaakum fa antum feehi sawaaa'un takhaafoonahum kakheefa tikum anfusakum; kazaalika nufassilul Aayaati liqawminy ya'qiloon |
| English (Pickthall) | He coineth for you a similitude of yourselves. Have ye, from among those whom your right hands possess, partners in the wealth We have bestowed upon you, equal with you in respect thereof, so that ye fear them as ye fear each other (that ye ascribe unto Us partners out of that which We created)? Thus We display the revelations for people who have sense. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | He does propound to you a similitude from your own (experience): do ye have partners among those whom your right hands possess, to share as equals in the wealth We have bestowed on you? Do ye fear them as ye fear each other? Thus do we explain the Signs in detail to a people that understand. |

Do you have among those whom your right hands possess any partners in what We have provided for you so that you are equal therein [and] would fear them as your fear of one another [within a partnership]? Allah mentions an example for you of yourselves: do you have partners from your slaves who are equals to you in everything you own, such that you fear them just as you fear each other? Would you be happy for yourselves with your slaves being such? No doubt, you would not be happy with such an arrangement, so Allah is more worthy that He does not have a partner from His creation in His kingdom. Like that example and in other ways, Allah clearly explains different proofs and evidences for understanding people, because they are the ones who benefit from them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उसने तुम्हारे लिए स्वयं तुम्हीं में से एक मिसाल पेश की है। क्या जो रोज़ी हमने तुम्हें दी है, उसमें तुम्हारे अधीनस्थों में से, कुछ तुम्हारे साझीदार है कि तुम सब उसमें बराबर के हो, तुम उनका ऐसा डर रखते हो जैसा अपने लोगों का डर रखते हो? - इसप्रकार हम उन लोगों के लिए आयतें खोल-खोलकर प्रस्तुत करते है जो बुद्धि से काम लेते है। - |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और हमने (तुम्हारे समझाने के वास्ते) तुम्हारी ही एक मिसाल बयान की है हमने जो कुछ तुम्हे अता किया है क्या उसमें तुम्हारी लौन्डी गुलामों में से कोई (भी) तुम्हारा शरीक है कि (वह और) तुम उसमें बराबर हो जाओ (और क्या) तुम उनसे ऐसा ही ख़ौफ रखते हो जितना तुम्हें अपने लोगों का (हक़ हिस्सा न देने में) ख़ौफ होता है फिर बन्दों को खुदा का शरीक क्यों बनाते हो) अक्ल मन्दों के वास्ते हम यूँ अपनी आयतों को तफसीलदार बयान करते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ मुश्रिको!) अल्लाह ने तुम्हारे लिए तुम्हीं से लिया गया एक उदाहरण प्रस्तुत किया है : क्या तुम्हारे गुलामों और दासों में से कोई तुम्हारा साझी है, जो तुम्हारे धन में बराबर का हिस्सेदार है, कि तुम डरते हो कि वह तुम्हारे साथ तुम्हारे धन को विभाजित कर लेगा, जिस तरह कि तुममें से कुछ अपने आज़ाद साथी से डरते हैं कि वह उसके साथ धन बांट लेगा? क्या तुम अपने लिए अपने गुलामों की इस साझेदारी को पसंद करोगे? निःसंदेह तुम ऐसा पसंद नहीं करोगे। तो फिर अल्लाह इस बात का सबसे अधिक हक़दार है कि उसके प्राणियों और दासों में से कोई उसके राज्य में उसका साझेदार न हो। इसी तरह उदाहरण प्रस्तुत करने आदि के द्वारा, हम उन लोगों के लिए विविध प्रकार के तर्क और प्रमाण पेश करते हैं, जो समझ-बूझ रखते हैं। क्योंकि वही लोग इससे लाभान्वित होते हैं। |
| Ayah 29 |
| عَرَبِي | بَلِ اتَّبَعَ الَّذينَ ظَلَموا أَهواءَهُم بِغَيرِ عِلمٍ ۖ فَمَن يَهدي مَن أَضَلَّ اللَّهُ ۖ وَما لَهُم مِن ناصِرينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Bali ittabaAAa allatheena thalamoo ahwaahum bighayri AAilmin faman yahdee man adalla Allahu wama lahum min nasireena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Balit taba'al lazeena zalamooo ahwaaa'ahum bighairi 'ilmin famai yahdee man adallal laahu wa maa lahum min naasireen |
| English (Pickthall) | Nay, but those who do wrong follow their own lusts without knowledge. Who is able to guide him whom Allah hath sent astray? For such there are no helpers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Nay, the wrong-doers (merely) follow their own lusts, being devoid of knowledge. But who will guide those whom Allah leaves astray? To them there will be no helpers. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But those who wrong follow their [own] desires without knowledge. Then who can guide one whom Allah has sent astray? And for them there are no helpers. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Their deviance is not because of any deficiency in proofs, nor of them not being explained, it is only because of following desires and their forefathers. So who is there that is capable of guiding those whom Allah has caused to deviate? No one is capable of it. There will have no helpers to prevent the punishment from them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | नहीं, बल्कि ये ज़ालिम तो बिना ज्ञान के अपनी इच्छाओं के पीछे चल पड़े। तो अब कौन उसे मार्ग दिखाएगा जिसे अल्लाह ने भटका दिया हो? ऐसे लोगो का तो कोई सहायक नहीं |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | मगर सरकशों ने तो बगैर समझे बूझे अपनी नफसियानी ख्वाहिशों की पैरवी कर ली (और ख़ुदा का शरीक ठहरा दिया) ग़रज़ ख़ुदा जिसे गुमराही में छोड़ दे (फिर) उसे कौन राहे रास्त पर ला सकता है और उनका कोई मददगार (भी) नहीं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उनकी गुमराही का कारण प्रमाणों में किसी प्रकार की कमी नहीं है और न ही उनकी व्याख्या में कमी है। बल्कि उसका कारण, अपने ऊपर अल्लाह के अधिकार की अज्ञानता की वजह से, इच्छाओं का पालन करना और अपने बाप-दादाओं का अनुकरण करना है। तो भला उसे कौन हिदायत की तौफ़ीक़ दे सकता है, जिसे अल्लाह ने गुमराह कर दिया है?! कोई भी उसे तौफ़ीक़ नहीं दे सकता। और उनके पास कोई सहायक नहीं हैं जो उनसे अल्लाह की यातना को दूर कर सकें। |
| Ayah 30 |
| عَرَبِي | فَأَقِم وَجهَكَ لِلدّينِ حَنيفًا ۚ فِطرَتَ اللَّهِ الَّتي فَطَرَ النّاسَ عَلَيها ۚ لا تَبديلَ لِخَلقِ اللَّهِ ۚ ذٰلِكَ الدّينُ القَيِّمُ وَلٰكِنَّ أَكثَرَ النّاسِ لا يَعلَمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faaqim wajhaka lilddeeni haneefan fitrata Allahi allatee fatara alnnasa AAalayha la tabdeela likhalqi Allahi thalika alddeenu alqayyimu walakinna akthara alnnasi la yaAAlamoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa aqim wajhaka liddeeni Haneefaa; fitratal laahil latee fataran naasa 'alaihaa; laa taabdeela likhalqil laah; zaalikad deenul qaiyimu wa laakinna aksaran naasi laa ya'lamoon |
| English (Pickthall) | So set thy purpose (O Muhammad) for religion as a man by nature upright - the nature (framed) of Allah, in which He hath created man. There is no altering (the laws of) Allah's creation. That is the right religion, but most men know not - |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | So set thou thy face steadily and truly to the Faith: (establish) Allah's handiwork according to the pattern on which He has made mankind: no change (let there be) in the work (wrought) by Allah: that is the standard Religion: but most among mankind understand not. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth. [Adhere to] the fitrah of Allah upon which He has created [all] people. No change should there be in the creation of Allah. That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know. |

Turn your face, you and those with you, directing it towards the True Religion which Allah has directed you, turning away from all other religions: the religion of Islam upon which Allah intrinsically created people. There is no changing the creation of Allah, it is the correct and upright religion in which there is no deviation, but the majority of people do not know this. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अतः एक ओर का होकर अपने रुख़ को 'दीन' (धर्म) की ओर जमा दो, अल्लाह की उस प्रकृति का अनुसरण करो जिसपर उसने लोगों को पैदा किया। अल्लाह की बनाई हुई संरचना बदली नहीं जा सकती। यही सीधा और ठीक धर्म है, किन्तु अधिकतर लोग जानते नहीं। |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो (ऐ रसूल) तुम बातिल से कतरा के अपना रुख़ दीन की तरफ किए रहो यही ख़ुदा की बनावट है जिस पर उसने लोगों को पैदा किया है ख़ुदा की (दुरुस्त की हुई) बनावट में तग़य्युर तबद्दुल (उलट फेर) नहीं हो सकता यही मज़बूत और (बिल्कुल सीधा) दीन है मगर बहुत से लोग नहीं जानते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल) आप और आपके साथी उस धर्म की ओर उन्मुख हो जाएँ, जिसकी ओर अल्लाह ने आपको निर्देशित किया है; सभी धर्मों से उपेक्षाकर उसी की ओर एकाग्र होकर। वह इस्लाम धर्म है, जिसपर अल्लाह ने लोगों को पैदा किया है। अल्लाह की रचना में कोई बदलाव नहीं हो सकता। यही सीधा धर्म है, जिसमें कोई टेढ़ापन नहीं है। लेकिन अधिकतर लोगों को नहीं पता है कि सच्चा धर्म यही (इस्लाम) धर्म है। |
| Ayah 31 |
| عَرَبِي | ۞ مُنيبينَ إِلَيهِ وَاتَّقوهُ وَأَقيمُوا الصَّلاةَ وَلا تَكونوا مِنَ المُشرِكينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Muneebeena ilayhi waittaqoohu waaqeemoo alssalata wala takoonoo mina almushrikeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Muneebeena ilaihi wattaqoohu wa aqeemus Salaata wa laa takoonoo minal mushrikeen |
| English (Pickthall) | Turning unto Him (only); and be careful of your duty unto Him and establish worship, and be not of those who ascribe partners (unto Him); |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Turn ye back in repentance to Him, and fear Him: establish regular prayers, and be not ye among those who join gods with Allah,- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [Adhere to it], turning in repentance to Him, and fear Him and establish prayer and do not be of those who associate others with Allah |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And return to Him, may He be glorified, by repenting from your sins, be mindful of Him by fulfilling His commands and refraining from His prohibitions, perform prayer with perfection, and do not be from the idolaters who go against nature and ascribe partners with Allah by worshipping them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उसकी ओर रुजू करनेवाले (प्रवृत्त होनेवाले) रहो। और उसका डर रखो और नमाज़ का आयोजन करो और (अल्लाह का) साझी ठहरानेवालों में से न होना, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | उसी की तरफ रुजू होकर (ख़ुदा की इबादत करो) और उसी से डरते रहो और पाबन्दी से नमाज़ पढ़ो और मुशरेकीन से न हो जाना |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अपने गुनाहों से तौबा करके उसी महिमावान अल्लाह की ओर लौट आओ। तथा उसके आदेशों का पालन करके और निषेधों से दूर रहकर उससे डरते रहो। और संपूर्ण तरीक़े से नमाज़ पढ़ो। और उन मुश्रिकों में से न हो जाओ, जो सहज प्रकृति का विरोध करते हैं। इसलिए वे अपनी इबादत में अल्लाह के साथ दूसरों को साझी ठहराते हैं। |
| Ayah 32 |
| عَرَبِي | مِنَ الَّذينَ فَرَّقوا دينَهُم وَكانوا شِيَعًا ۖ كُلُّ حِزبٍ بِما لَدَيهِم فَرِحونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Mina allatheena farraqoo deenahum wakanoo shiyaAAan kullu hizbin bima ladayhim farihoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Minal lazeena farraqoo deenahum wa kaanoo shiya'an kullu hizbim bimaa ladaihim farihoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Of those who split up their religion and became schismatics, each sect exulting in its tenets. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who split up their Religion, and become (mere) Sects,- each party rejoicing in that which is with itself! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [Or] of those who have divided their religion and become sects, every faction rejoicing in what it has. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And do not be from those idolaters who changed their religion, believing in some of it and rejecting other parts of it. They split into groups and sects, each sect happy with whatever falsehood they were on, thinking that they alone were upon the truth and others were on falsehood. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उन लोगों में से जिन्होंने अपनी दीन (धर्म) को टुकड़े-टुकड़े कर डाला और गिरोहों में बँट गए। हर गिरोह के पास जो कुछ है, उसी में मग्न है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जिन्होंने अपने (असली) दीन में तफरेक़ा परवाज़ी की और मुख्तलिफ़ फिरके क़े बन गए जो (दीन) जिस फिरके क़े पास है उसी में निहाल है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उन मुश्रिकों में से न हो जाओ, जिन्होंने अपने धर्म को बदल दिया और उसके कुछ भाग पर ईमान लाए और कुछ का इनकार किया और वे कई समूहों और दलों में बँट गए। उनमें से प्रत्येक दल, उसके पास जो असत्य है, उसी पर खुश है। वे समझते हैं कि वही अकेले सत्य पर हैं और उनके सिवा अन्य लोग असत्य पर हैं। |
| Ayah 33 |
| عَرَبِي | وَإِذا مَسَّ النّاسَ ضُرٌّ دَعَوا رَبَّهُم مُنيبينَ إِلَيهِ ثُمَّ إِذا أَذاقَهُم مِنهُ رَحمَةً إِذا فَريقٌ مِنهُم بِرَبِّهِم يُشرِكونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waitha massa alnnasa durrun daAAaw rabbahum muneebeena ilayhi thumma itha athaqahum minhu rahmatan itha fareequn minhum birabbihim yushrikoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa izaa massan naasa durrun da'aw Rabbahum muneebeena ilaihi summa izaaa azaqahum minhu rahmatan izaa fareequm minhum be Rabbihim yushrikoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And when harm toucheth men they cry unto their Lord, turning to Him in repentance; then, when they have tasted of His mercy, behold! some of them attribute partners to their Lord |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | When trouble touches men, they cry to their Lord, turning back to Him in repentance: but when He gives them a taste of Mercy as from Himself, behold, some of them pay part-worship to other god's besides their Lord,- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And when adversity touches the people, they call upon their Lord, turning in repentance to Him. Then when He lets them taste mercy from Him, at once a party of them associate others with their Lord, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | When the idolaters are afflicted by a difficulty i.e. poverty, drought, they supplicate only to their Lord, may He be glorified, returning to Him humbling themselves and seeking refuge in Him to remove the affliction from them. Then, when He shows them mercy by removing whatever afflicted them, they return to their ways of idolatry by supplicating to others along with Him. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और जब लोगों को कोई तकलीफ़ पहुँचती है तो वे अपने रब को, उसकी ओर रुजू (प्रवृत) होकर पुकारते है। फिर जब वह उन्हें अपनी दयालुता का रसास्वादन करा देता है, तो क्या देखते है कि उनमें से कुछ लोग अपने रब का साझी ठहराने लगे; |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जब लोगों को कोई मुसीबत छू भी गयी तो उसी की तरफ रुजू होकर अपने परवरदिगार को पुकारने लगते हैं फिर जब वह अपनी रहमत की लज्ज़त चखा देता है तो उन्हीं में से कुछ लोग अपने परवरदिगार के साथ शिर्क करने लगते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जब मुश्रिकों को बीमारी या गरीबी या सूखे की गंभीरता का सामना करना पड़ता है, तो वे केवल अपने महिमावान पालनहार ही को पुकारते हैं, विलाप और इस विनती के साथ उसकी ओर लौटते हुए कि वह उनकी विपत्ति को उनसे टाल दे। फिर जब वह उनकी विपत्ति को टालकर उनपर दया करता है, तो सहसा उनमें से एक समूह दुआ में अल्लाह के साथ उसके अलावा को साझी ठहराने की ओर लौट आता है। |
| Ayah 34 |
| عَرَبِي | لِيَكفُروا بِما آتَيناهُم ۚ فَتَمَتَّعوا فَسَوفَ تَعلَمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Liyakfuroo bima ataynahum fatamattaAAoo fasawfa taAAlamoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Li yakfuroo bimaaa aatainaahum; fatamatta'oo fasawfa ta'lamoon |
| English (Pickthall) | So as to disbelieve in that which We have given them. (Unto such it is said): Enjoy yourselves awhile, but ye will come to know. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | (As if) to show their ingratitude for the (favours) We have bestowed on them! Then enjoy (your brief day); but soon will ye know (your folly). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So that they will deny what We have granted them. Then enjoy yourselves, for you are going to know. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They do so to reject the bounties of Allah, from amongst them is removing their difficulty. So those who ascribe partners to Me should enjoy the ease they have in this life for surely they will come to know on the Day of Judgement that they were in clear misguidance. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | ताकि इस प्रकार वे उसके प्रति अकृतज्ञता दिखलाएँ जो कुछ हमने उन्हें दिया है। "अच्छा तो मज़े उड़ा लो, शीघ्र ही तुम जान लोगे।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ताकि जो (नेअमत) हमने उन्हें दी है उसकी नाशुक्री करें ख़ैर (दुनिया में चन्दरोज़ चैन कर लो) फिर तो बहुत जल्द (अपने किए का मज़ा) तुम्हे मालूम ही होगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | यदि वे अल्लाह की नेमतों (जिनमें विपत्ति को दूर करने की नेमत भी शामिल है) की कृतघ्नता करते हैं, और इस जीवन में उनके हाथों में जो कुछ है, उसका आनंद लेते हैं, तो वे क़ियामत के दिन अपनी आँखों से देख लेंगे कि वे खुली गुमराही में थे। |
| Ayah 35 |
| عَرَبِي | أَم أَنزَلنا عَلَيهِم سُلطانًا فَهُوَ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِما كانوا بِهِ يُشرِكونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Am anzalna AAalayhim sultanan fahuwa yatakallamu bima kanoo bihi yushrikoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Am anzalnaa 'alaihim sultaanan fahuwa yatakallamu bimaa kaanoo bihee yushrikoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Or have We revealed unto them any warrant which speaketh of that which they associate with Him? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Or have We sent down authority to them, which points out to them the things to which they pay part-worship? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Or have We sent down to them an authority, and it speaks of what they were associating with Him? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | What invited them to ascribing partners with Allah when they have no proof supporting it? I did not send any evidence to them in the form of any scripture which they could use as proof for their ascribing partners with Allah, nor do they have any scripture which talks in favour of their idolatry and upholds the validity of the disbelief they are on. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | (क्या उनके देवताओं ने उनकी सहायता की थी) या हमने उनपर ऐसा कोई प्रमाण उतारा है कि वह उसके हक़ में बोलता हो, जो वे उसके साथ साझी ठहराते है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | क्या हमने उन लोगों पर कोई दलील नाज़िल की है जो उस (के हक़ होने) को बयान करती है जिसे ये लोग ख़ुदा का शरीक ठहराते हैं (हरग़िज नहीं) |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उन्हें अल्लाह के साथ शिर्क करने के लिए किस चीज़ ने आमंत्रित किया, जबकि उनके पास कोई प्रमाण नहीं है?! चुनाँचे हमने उनपर प्रमाण के रूप में कोई किताब नहीं उतारी है, जिससे वे अपने अल्लाह के साथ शिर्क करने पर प्रमाण ग्रहण कर सकें। तथा उनके पास कोई किताब भी नहीं है, जो उनके शिर्क की बात करती हो और उनके लिए उनके कुफ़्र के सही होने को प्रमाणित करती हो। |
| Ayah 36 |
| عَرَبِي | وَإِذا أَذَقنَا النّاسَ رَحمَةً فَرِحوا بِها ۖ وَإِن تُصِبهُم سَيِّئَةٌ بِما قَدَّمَت أَيديهِم إِذا هُم يَقنَطونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waitha athaqna alnnasa rahmatan farihoo biha wain tusibhum sayyiatun bima qaddamat aydeehim itha hum yaqnatoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa izaaa azaqnan naasa rahmatan farihoo bihaa wa in tusibhum sayyi'atum bimaa qaddamat aydeehim izaa hum yaqnatoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And when We cause mankind to taste of mercy they rejoice therein; but if an evil thing befall them as the consequence of their own deeds, lo! they are in despair! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | When We give men a taste of Mercy, they exult thereat: and when some evil afflicts them because of what their (own) hands have sent forth, behold, they are in despair! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And when We let the people taste mercy, they rejoice therein, but if evil afflicts them for what their hands have put forth, immediately they despair. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And when I give the people a taste of some of My bounties, i.e. health and wealth, they become happy with it; a happiness based on arrogance and pride. And if something that harms them reaches them, i.e. illness or poverty due to the sins they commit, they begin losing hope in the mercy of Allah and in the difficulty going away from them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और जब हम लोगों को दयालुता का रसास्वादन कराते है तो वे उसपर इतराने लगते है; परन्तु जो कुछ उनके हाथों ने आगे भेजा है यदि उसके कारण उनपर कोई विपत्ति आ जाए, तो क्या देखते है कि वे निराश हो रहे है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जब हमने लोगों को (अपनी रहमत की लज्ज़त) चखा दी तो वह उससे खुश हो गए और जब उन्हें अपने हाथों की अगली कारसतानियो की बदौलत कोई मुसीबत पहुँची तो यकबारगी मायूस होकर बैठे रहते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जब हम लोगों को अपनी नेमतों में से कोई नेमत चखाते हैं, जैसे कि स्वास्थ्य और धन, तो वे उसपर इतराने और अभिमान करने लगते हैं। और अगर उनके गुनाहों के कारण, उन्हें कोई बुराई पहुँचती है, जैसे बीमारी और गरीबी आदि, तो वे एकाएक अल्लाह की दया से निराश हो जाते हैं और उन्हें जो बुराई पहुँची है उसके दूर होने से आशाहीन हो जाते हैं। |
| Ayah 37 |
| عَرَبِي | أَوَلَم يَرَوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَبسُطُ الرِّزقَ لِمَن يَشاءُ وَيَقدِرُ ۚ إِنَّ في ذٰلِكَ لَآياتٍ لِقَومٍ يُؤمِنونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Awalam yaraw anna Allaha yabsutu alrrizqa liman yashao wayaqdiru inna fee thalika laayatin liqawmin yuminoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Awalam yaraw annal laaha yabsutur rizqa limai yashaaa'u wa yaqdir; inna fee zaalika la Aayaatil liqawminy yu'minoon |
| English (Pickthall) | See they not that Allah enlargeth the provision for whom He will, and straiteneth (it for whom He will). Lo! herein indeed are portents for folk who believe. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | See they not that Allah enlarges the provision and restricts it, to whomsoever He pleases? Verily in that are Signs for those who believe. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Do they not see that Allah extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it]? Indeed, in that are signs for a people who believe. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Do they not see that Allah expands the sustenance for whichever of His servants He wishes, testing them to see whether they show gratitude or ingratitude? And He constrains sustenance upon whomsoever He wishes, testing to see whether they are patience or become angry. Indeed, in the increasing of provision for some, and its constriction upon others, are proofs of the kindness and mercy of Allah. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | क्या उन्होंने विचार नहीं किया कि अल्लाह जिसके लिए चाहता है रोज़ी कुशादा कर देता है और जिसके लिए चाहता है नपी-तुली कर देता है? निस्संदेह इसमें उन लोगों के लिए निशानियाँ है, जो ईमान लाएँ |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | क्या उन लोगों ने (इतना भी) ग़ौर नहीं किया कि खुदा ही जिसकी रोज़ी चाहता है कुशादा कर देता है और (जिसकी चाहता है) तंग करता है-कुछ शक नहीं कि इसमें ईमानरदार लोगों के वास्ते (कुदरत ख़ुदा की) बहुत सी निशानियाँ हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्या उन्होंने यह नहीं देखा कि अल्लाह अपने बंदों में से जिसके लिए चाहता है, उसकी रोज़ी का विस्तार कर देता है, उसके लिए एक परीक्षण के रूप में कि वह आभार प्रकट करता है या कृतघ्नता दिखाता है? तथा उनमें से जिसके लिए चाहता है, उसकी रोज़ी तंग कर देता है, उसके लिए एक परीक्षण के तौर पर कि वह सब्र करता है या क्रुद्ध होता है?! निश्चित रूप से कुछ के लिए आजीविका का विस्तार करने और कुछ के लिए रोज़ी को तंग करने में, ईमान वालों के लिए अल्लाह की दया और करुणा के बहुत-से संकेत हैं। |
| Ayah 38 |
| عَرَبِي | فَآتِ ذَا القُربىٰ حَقَّهُ وَالمِسكينَ وَابنَ السَّبيلِ ۚ ذٰلِكَ خَيرٌ لِلَّذينَ يُريدونَ وَجهَ اللَّهِ ۖ وَأُولٰئِكَ هُمُ المُفلِحونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faati tha alqurba haqqahu waalmiskeena waibna alssabeeli thalika khayrun lillatheena yureedoona wajha Allahi waolaika humu almuflihoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa aati zal qurbaa haqqahoo walmiskeena wabnassabeel; zaalika khairul lil lazeena yureedoona Wajhal laahi wa ulaaa'ika humul muflihoon |
| English (Pickthall) | So give to the kinsman his due, and to the needy, and to the wayfarer. That is best for those who seek Allah's Countenance. And such are they who are successful. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | So give what is due to kindred, the needy, and the wayfarer. That is best for those who seek the Countenance, of Allah, and it is they who will prosper. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So give the relative his right, as well as the needy and the traveler. That is best for those who desire the countenance of Allah, and it is they who will be the successful. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Muslim! Give the relative whatever goodness and kinship he deserves, give the needy whatever he can fulfil his need with and help the stranger whose path back home has been cut off. Giving in these causes is better for those who seek the pleasure of Allah; those who give priority to this kind of assistance and rights are the ones who succeed by achieving their objective of paradise, and being granted safety from the feared punishment. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अतः नातेदार को उसका हक़ दो और मुहताज और मुसाफ़िर को भी। यह अच्छा है उनके लिए जो अल्लाह की प्रसन्नता के इच्छुक हों और वही सफल है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (तो ऐ रसूल अपनी) क़राबतदार (फातिमा ज़हरा) का हक़ फिदक दे दो और मोहताज व परदेसियों का (भी) जो लोग ख़ुदा की ख़ुशनूदी के ख्वाहॉ हैं उन के हक़ में सब से बेहतर यही है और ऐसे ही लोग आखेरत में दिली मुरादे पाएँगें |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अतः (ऐ मुसलमान!) तुम रिश्तेदार के साथ भलाई और एहसान का वह मामला करो, जिसका वह हक़दार है, तथा ज़रूरतमंद को इतना दो, जिससे उसकी आवश्यकता पूरी हो सके, तथा उस यात्री को भी दो, जिसका अपने देश से रास्ता कट गया है। इन भलाई के कार्यों में खर्च करना उन लोगों के लिए बेहतर है, जो उससे अल्लाह का चेहरा (प्रसन्नता) चाहते हैं। जो लोग इस सहायता और अधिकारों का निष्पादन करते हैं, वही लोग उस जन्नत को प्राप्त कर, जिसे वे तलब करते हैं, तथा उस यातना से सुरक्षित रहकर, जिससे वे डर रहे हैं, सफल होने वाले हैं। |
| Ayah 39 |
| عَرَبِي | وَما آتَيتُم مِن رِبًا لِيَربُوَ في أَموالِ النّاسِ فَلا يَربو عِندَ اللَّهِ ۖ وَما آتَيتُم مِن زَكاةٍ تُريدونَ وَجهَ اللَّهِ فَأُولٰئِكَ هُمُ المُضعِفونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wama ataytum min riban liyarbuwa fee amwali alnnasi fala yarboo AAinda Allahi wama ataytum min zakatin tureedoona wajha Allahi faolaika humu almudAAifoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa maaa aataitum mir ribal li yarbuwa feee amwaalin naasi falaa yarboo 'indal laahi wa maaa aataitum min zaakaatin tureedoona wajhal laahi fa ulaaa'ika humul mud'ifoon |
| English (Pickthall) | That which ye give in usury in order that it may increase on (other) people's property hath no increase with Allah; but that which ye give in charity, seeking Allah's Countenance, hath increase manifold. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | That which ye lay out for increase through the property of (other) people, will have no increase with Allah: but that which ye lay out for charity, seeking the Countenance of Allah, (will increase): it is these who will get a recompense multiplied. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And whatever you give for interest to increase within the wealth of people will not increase with Allah. But what you give in zakah, desiring the countenance of Allah - those are the multipliers. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Whatever wealth you give to anyone with the expectation that they will.return it to you with an increase, that wealth does not grow with Allah. And whatever wealth you give to fulfil someone's need, desiring only the pleasure of Allah, and not praise or reward from the people, the reward of that deed shall be multiplied for you by Allah. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | तुम जो कुछ ब्याज पर देते हो, ताकि वह लोगों के मालों में सम्मिलित होकर बढ़ जाए, तो वह अल्लाह के यहाँ नहीं बढ़ता। किन्तु जो ज़कात तुमने अल्लाह की प्रसन्नता प्राप्त करने के लिए दी, तो ऐसे ही लोग (अल्लाह के यहाँ) अपना माल बढ़ाते है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और तुम लोग जो सूद देते हो ताकि लोगों के माल (दौलत) में तरक्क़ी हो तो (याद रहे कि ऐसा माल) ख़ुदा के यहॉ फूलता फलता नही और तुम लोग जो ख़ुदा की ख़ुशनूदी के इरादे से ज़कात देते हो तो ऐसे ही लोग (ख़ुदा की बारगाह से) दूना दून लेने वाले हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो धन तुम किसी आदमी को इस उद्देश्य से देते हो कि वह तुम्हें उसमें कुछ वृद्धि के साथ वापस करे, तो उसका सवाब अल्लाह के यहाँ नहीं बढ़ेगा। और जो कुछ तुम अपने माल में से किसी ऐसे व्यक्ति को देते हो, जो उससे अपनी ज़रूरत पूरी करता है, जिससे तुम अल्लाह का चेहरा चाहते हो, तुम्हारा इरादा कोई पद (सामाजिक स्थिति) या लोगों से प्रतिफल प्राप्त करना नहीं है, तो ऐसे ही लोग हैं जिनके प्रतिफल को अल्लाह के यहाँ कई गुना कर दिया जाएगा। |
| Ayah 40 |
| عَرَبِي | اللَّهُ الَّذي خَلَقَكُم ثُمَّ رَزَقَكُم ثُمَّ يُميتُكُم ثُمَّ يُحييكُم ۖ هَل مِن شُرَكائِكُم مَن يَفعَلُ مِن ذٰلِكُم مِن شَيءٍ ۚ سُبحانَهُ وَتَعالىٰ عَمّا يُشرِكونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Allahu allathee khalaqakum thumma razaqakum thumma yumeetukum thumma yuhyeekum hal min shurakaikum man yafAAalu min thalikum min shayin subhanahu wataAAala AAamma yushrikoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Allaahul lazee khalaqa kum summa razaqakm summa yumeetukum summa yuhyeekum hal min shurakaaa'ikum mai yaf'alu min zaalikum min shai'; Sub haanahoo wa Ta'aalaa 'ammaa yushrikoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Allah is He Who created you and then sustained you, then causeth you to die, then giveth life to you again. Is there any of your (so-called) partners (of Allah) that doeth aught of that? Praised and Exalted be He above what they associate (with Him)! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | It is Allah Who has created you: further, He has provided for your sustenance; then He will cause you to die; and again He will give you life. Are there any of your (false) "Partners" who can do any single one of these things? Glory to Him! and high is He above the partners they attribute (to him)! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Allah is the one who created you, then provided for you, then will cause you to die, and then will give you life. Are there any of your "partners" who does anything of that? Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Allah Himself is the one who alone created you, then granted you sustenance, then will cause you to die, then revive you for the resurrection. Is there any of your idols which you worship that can do any of the above? He is far above and free of what the idolaters say and believe. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अल्लाह ही है जिसने तुम्हें पैदा किया, फिर तुम्हें रोज़ी दी; फिर वह तुम्हें मृत्यु देता है; फिर तुम्हें जीवित करेगा। क्या तुम्हारे ठहराए हुए साझीदारों में भी कोई है, जो इन कामों में से कुछ कर सके? महान और उच्च है वह उसमें जो साझी वे ठहराते है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ख़ुदा वह (क़ादिर तवाना है) जिसने तुमको पैदा किया फिर उसी ने रोज़ी दी फिर वही तुमको मार डालेगा फिर वही तुमको (दोबारा) ज़िन्दा करेगा भला तुम्हारे (बनाए हुए ख़ुदा के) शरीकों में से कोई भी ऐसा है जो इन कामों में से कुछ भी कर सके जिसे ये लोग (उसका) शरीक बनाते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | केवल अल्लाह ही वह हस्ती है, जो तुम्हें पैदा करने, फिर तुम्हें रोज़ी देने, फिर तुम्हें मारने, फिर तुम्हें क़ियामत के दिन के लिए जीवित करने में अकेला है। क्या तुम्हारी उन मूर्तियाँ में से, जिन्हें तुम अल्लाह को छोड़कर पूजते हो, कोई ऐसा है, जो इनमें से कोई काम कर सके?! अल्लाह की हस्ती उससे बहुत पवित्र और सर्वोच्च है, जो मुश्रिक लोग कहते और विश्वास रखते हैं। |
| Ayah 41 |
| عَرَبِي | ظَهَرَ الفَسادُ فِي البَرِّ وَالبَحرِ بِما كَسَبَت أَيدِي النّاسِ لِيُذيقَهُم بَعضَ الَّذي عَمِلوا لَعَلَّهُم يَرجِعونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Thahara alfasadu fee albarri waalbahri bima kasabat aydee alnnasi liyutheeqahum baAAda allathee AAamiloo laAAallahum yarjiAAoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Zaharal fasaadu fil barri wal bahri bimaa kasabat aydinnaasi li yuzeeqahum ba'dal lazee 'amiloo la'allahum yarji'oon |
| English (Pickthall) | Corruption doth appear on land and sea because of (the evil) which men's hands have done, that He may make them taste a part of that which they have done, in order that they may return. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Mischief has appeared on land and sea because of (the meed) that the hands of men have earned, that (Allah) may give them a taste of some of their deeds: in order that they may turn back (from Evil). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness]. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Corruption has appeared in the land and sea in the lives of people by their span becoming shorter, and in their bodies by way of diseases and illnesses, due to the sins they commit. It has become apparent so that Allah may give them a taste of some of their evil deeds in the worldly life, perhaps they repent to Him. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | वह उससे पाक व पाकीज़ा और बरतर है ख़़ुद लोगों ही के अपने हाथों की कारस्तानियों की बदौलत ख़ुश्क व तर में फसाद फैल गया ताकि जो कुछ ये लोग कर चुके हैं ख़ुदा उन को उनमें से बाज़ करतूतों का मज़ा चखा दे ताकि ये लोग अब भी बाज़ आएँ |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | लोगों के किए हुए पापों के कारण, जल और थल में बिगाड़ फैल गया, जैसे सूखा, वर्षा की कमी, तथा बीमारियों और महामारियों की बहुतायत। ऐसा इसलिए प्रकट हुआ ताकि अल्लाह उन्हें उनके कुछ बुरे कर्मों का बदला दुनिया के जीवन ही में चखा दे, इस आशा में कि वे तौबा करके अल्लाह की ओर लौट आएँ। |

| عَرَبِي | قُل سيروا فِي الأَرضِ فَانظُروا كَيفَ كانَ عاقِبَةُ الَّذينَ مِن قَبلُ ۚ كانَ أَكثَرُهُم مُشرِكينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qul seeroo fee alardi faonthuroo kayfa kana AAaqibatu allatheena min qablu kana aktharuhum mushrikeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qul seeroo fil ardi fanzuroo kaifa kaana 'aaqibatul lazeena min qabl; kaana aksaruhum mushrikeen |
| English (Pickthall) | Say (O Muhammad, to the disbelievers): Travel in the land, and see the nature of the consequence for those who were before you! Most of them were idolaters. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Say: "Travel through the earth and see what was the end of those before (you): Most of them worshipped others besides Allah." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of those before. Most of them were associators [of others with Allah]. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Say - O Messenger, to these idolaters: “Travel the earth and ponder over what the outcome of the rejecting nations before you was. Their outcome was an evil one; the majority of them would ascribe partners with Allah, worshipping others with Him, and they were destroyed because of it.” |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (ऐ रसूल) तुम कह दो कि ज़रा रुए ज़मीन पर चल फिरकर देखो तो कि जो लोग उसके क़ब्ल गुज़र गए उनके (अफ़आल) का अंजाम क्या हुआ उनमें से बहुतेरे तो मुशरिक ही हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल) आप इन मुश्रिकों से कह दें : धरती में चलो-फिरो, फिर विचार करो कि तुमसे पहले के झुठलाने वाले समुदायों का अंत कैसे हुआ? वास्तव में वह एक बुरा परिणाम था। उनमें से अधिकांश लोग अल्लाह का साझी बनाने वाले थे, उसके साथ अन्य को पूजते थे। चुनाँचे वे अल्लाह के साथ शिर्क करने के कारण नष्ट कर दिए गए। |
| Ayah 43 |
| عَرَبِي | فَأَقِم وَجهَكَ لِلدّينِ القَيِّمِ مِن قَبلِ أَن يَأتِيَ يَومٌ لا مَرَدَّ لَهُ مِنَ اللَّهِ ۖ يَومَئِذٍ يَصَّدَّعونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faaqim wajhaka lilddeeni alqayyimi min qabli an yatiya yawmun la maradda lahu mina Allahi yawmaithin yassaddaAAoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa aqim wajhaka lid deenil qaiyimi min qabli any yaatiya Yawmul laa maradda lahoo minal laahi Yawma'iziny yassadda'oon |
| English (Pickthall) | So set thy purpose resolutely for the right religion, before the inevitable day cometh from Allah. On that day mankind will be sundered- |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But set thou thy face to the right Religion before there come from Allah the Day which there is no chance of averting: on that Day shall men be divided (in two). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So direct your face toward the correct religion before a Day comes from Allah of which there is no repelling. That Day, they will be divided. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! Turn your face in the direction of the correct religion of Islam in which there is no deviation, before the Day of Judgment comes. When it comes, there will be no one to prevent it, and on that day people will be divided: one group shall be pampered in paradise, while the other shall be punished in the hellfire. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अतः तुम अपना रुख़ सीधे व ठीक धर्म की ओर जमा दो, इससे पहले कि अल्लाह की ओर से वह दिन आ जाए जिसके लिए वापसी नहीं। उस दिन लोग अलग-अलग हो जाएँगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो (ऐ रसूल) तुम उस दिन के आने से पहले जो खुदा की तरफ से आकर रहेगा (और) कोई उसे रोक नहीं सकता अपना रुख़ मज़बूत (और सीधे दीन की तरफ किए रहो उस दिन लोग (परेशान होकर) अलग अलग हो जाएँगें |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल) आप अपना चेहरा सीधे घर्म इस्लाम पर स्थापित रखें, जिसमें कोई टेढ़ापन नहीं है, इससे पहले कि क़ियामत का दिन आ जाए, जिसके आ जाने पर, उसे कोई टालने वाला नहीं होगा। उस दिन लोग अलग-अलग समूहों में होंगे : एक समूह जन्नत के अंदर नेमतों में होगा, और एक समूह जहन्नम के अंदर अज़ाब में ग्रस्त होगा। |
| Ayah 44 |
| عَرَبِي | مَن كَفَرَ فَعَلَيهِ كُفرُهُ ۖ وَمَن عَمِلَ صالِحًا فَلِأَنفُسِهِم يَمهَدونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Man kafara faAAalayhi kufruhu waman AAamila salihan falianfusihim yamhadoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Man kafara fa'alaihi kufruhoo wa man 'amila saalihan fali anfusihim yamhadoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Whoso disbelieveth must (then) bear the consequences of his disbelief, while those who do right make provision for themselves - |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who reject Faith will suffer from that rejection: and those who work righteousness will spread their couch (of repose) for themselves (in heaven): |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Whoever disbelieves - upon him is [the consequence of] his disbelief. And whoever does righteousness - they are for themselves preparing, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Whoever disbelieves in Allah, the harm of his disbelief - which is permanent residence in the hellfire - will reach only himself. As for those who do good deeds seeking Allah’s pleasure through them, they are preparing for themselves entry into paradise and deriving enjoyment from whatever is within it, and they shall live in it forever. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जिसने अल्लाह का इनकार किया, तो उसके इनकार का नुक़सान - जो कि हमेशा के लिए नरक में रहना है - उसी पर लौटने वाला है, और जिसने अल्लाह की प्रसन्नता प्राप्त करने के लिए अच्छा कार्य किया, तो ऐसे लोग अपने ही लिए जन्नत में दाखिल होने और उसकी नेमतों का आनंद लेने के लिए रास्ता हमवार कर रहे हैं। जिसमें वे हमेशा के लिए रहने वाले हैं। |
| Ayah 45 |
| عَرَبِي | لِيَجزِيَ الَّذينَ آمَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّالِحاتِ مِن فَضلِهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ لا يُحِبُّ الكافِرينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Liyajziya allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati min fadlihi innahu la yuhibbu alkafireena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Li yajziyal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati min fadlih; innahoo laa yuhibbul kaafireen |
| English (Pickthall) | That He may reward out of His bounty those who believe and do good works. Lo! He loveth not the disbelievers (in His guidance). |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | That He may reward those who believe and work righteous deeds, out of his Bounty. For He loves not those who reject Faith. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | That He may reward those who have believed and done righteous deeds out of His bounty. Indeed, He does not like the disbelievers. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Allah will separate the people and divide them into two groups, so that He can reward those who have faith in Allah and perform good deeds that He is pleased with. Indeed, He does not love those who disbelieve in Him and His Messengers. Rather, He hates them severely and will punish them on the Day of Judgement. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ताकि अल्लाह अपने अनुग्रह और उपकार से उन लोगों को बदला दे, जो अल्लाह पर ईमान लाए और ऐसे अच्छे कार्य किए जो अल्लाह को पसंद हैं। अल्लाह उन लोगों से प्रेम नहीं करता, जो उसका और उसके रसूलों का इनकार करने वाले हैं। बल्कि उनसे सख़्त नाराज़ होता है और उन्हें क़ियामत के दिन यातना देगा। |
| Ayah 46 |
| عَرَبِي | وَمِن آياتِهِ أَن يُرسِلَ الرِّياحَ مُبَشِّراتٍ وَلِيُذيقَكُم مِن رَحمَتِهِ وَلِتَجرِيَ الفُلكُ بِأَمرِهِ وَلِتَبتَغوا مِن فَضلِهِ وَلَعَلَّكُم تَشكُرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wamin ayatihi an yursila alrriyaha mubashshiratin waliyutheeqakum min rahmatihi walitajriya alfulku biamrihi walitabtaghoo min fadlihi walaAAallakum tashkuroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa min Aayaatiheee anyyursilar riyaaha mubashshi raatinw wa li yuzeeqakum mir rahmatihee wa litajriyal fulku bi amrihee wa litabtaghoo min fadlihee wa la'allakum tashkuroon |
| English (Pickthall) | And of His signs is this: He sendeth herald winds to make you taste His mercy, and that the ships may sail at His command, and that ye may seek his favour, and that haply ye may be thankful. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Among His Signs is this, that He sends the Winds, as heralds of Glad Tidings, giving you a taste of His (Grace and) Mercy,- that the ships may sail (majestically) by His Command and that ye may seek of His Bounty: in order that ye may be grateful. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And of His signs is that He sends the winds as bringers of good tidings and to let you taste His mercy and so the ships may sail at His command and so you may seek of His bounty, and perhaps you will be grateful. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And from His great signs that prove His power and oneness is that He sends winds that give glad tidings of imminent rain to the servants, and so that He may give you - O people! - a taste of His mercy by the greenery and ease that follows the rainfall. And also so that the ships can sail the sea by His will and you can seek from His grace by trading across the ocean. Perhaps you will show gratitude upon the favours of Allah so He may increase you in them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और उसकी निशानियों में से यह भी है कि शुभ सूचना देनेवाली हवाएँ भेजता है (ताकि उनके द्वारा तुम्हें वर्षा की शुभ सूचना मिले) और ताकि वह तुम्हें अपनी दयालुता का रसास्वादन कराए और ताकि उसके आदेश से नौकाएँ चलें और ताकि तुम उसका अनुग्रह (रोज़ी) तलाश करो और कदाचित तुम कृतज्ञता दिखलाओ |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा अल्लाह की शक्ति और एकता का संकेत देने वाली उसकी महान निशानियों में से एक यह है कि वह हवाओं को भेजता है, जो बंदों को बारिश उतरने के निकट होने की शुभ सूचना देती हैं, और ताकि वह तुम्हें (ऐ लोगो) बारिश के बाद होने वाली उर्वरता और समृद्धि के रूप में अपनी दया का स्वाद चखाए, और ताकि उसकी इच्छा से समुद्र में नावें चलें, और ताकि तुम समुद्र में व्यापार करके उसका अनुग्रह तलाश करो और ताकि तुम अपने ऊपर अल्लाह की नेमतों का शुक्रिया अदा करो, तो वह तुम्हें और अधिक नेमतें प्रदान करे। |
| Ayah 47 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَقَد أَرسَلنا مِن قَبلِكَ رُسُلًا إِلىٰ قَومِهِم فَجاءوهُم بِالبَيِّناتِ فَانتَقَمنا مِنَ الَّذينَ أَجرَموا ۖ وَكانَ حَقًّا عَلَينا نَصرُ المُؤمِنينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaqad arsalna min qablika rusulan ila qawmihim fajaoohum bialbayyinati faintaqamna mina allatheena ajramoo wakana haqqan AAalayna nasru almumineena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laqad arsalnaa min qablika Rusulan ilaa qawmihim fajaaa'oohum bil baiyinaati fantaqamnaa minal lazeena ajramoo wa kaana haqqan 'alainaa nasrul mu'mineen |
| English (Pickthall) | Verily We sent before thee (Muhammad) messengers to their own folk. Then we took vengeance upon those who were guilty (in regard to them). To help believers is ever incumbent upon Us. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | We did indeed send, before thee, messengers to their (respective) peoples, and they came to them with Clear Signs: then, to those who transgressed, We meted out Retribution: and it was due from Us to aid those who believed. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We have already sent messengers before you to their peoples, and they came to them with clear evidences; then We took retribution from those who committed crimes, and incumbent upon Us was support of the believers. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! Verily, I have sent many Messengers to their people before you, so they brought miracles proving their truthfulness but the people rejected whatever their Messengers brought to them. So, we took retribution from those committed evil and destroyed them with My punishment, saving the Messengers and those who brought faith in them from destruction. It is a right I have obligated upon myself to rescue the believers and help them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | हम तुमसे पहले कितने ही रसूलों को उनकी क़ौम की ओर भेज चुके है और वे उनके पास खुली निशानियाँ लेकर आए। फिर हम उन लोगों से बदला लेकर रहे जिन्होंने अपराध किया, और ईमानवालों की सहायता करना तो हमपर एक हक़ है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | औ (ऐ रसूल) हमने तुमसे पहले और भी बहुत से पैग़म्बर उनकी क़ौमों के पास भेजे तो वह पैग़म्बर वाज़ेए व रौशन लेकर आए (मगर उन लोगों ने न माना) तो उन मुजरिमों से हमने (खूब) बदला लिया और हम पर तो मोमिनीन की मदद करना लाज़िम था ही |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निश्चित रूप से हमने (ऐ रसूल) आपसे पहले कई रसूल उनकी जातियों की ओर भेजे।चुनाँचे वे उनके पास अपनी सच्चाई को दर्शाने वाले प्रमाणों और तर्कों के साथ आए। परंतु उन्होंने उसको झुठला दिया जो उनके रसूल उनके पाल लेकर आए थे। इसलिए हमने बुराई करने वालों से बदला लिया और उन्हें अपनी यातना से विनष्ट कर दिया, जबकि हमने रसूलों और उनपर विश्वास रखने वालों को विनाश से बचा लिया। मोमिनों को बचाना और उनकी मदद करना, एक अधिकार है जो हमने अपने ऊपर अनिवार्य कर लिया है। |
| Ayah 48 |
| عَرَبِي | اللَّهُ الَّذي يُرسِلُ الرِّياحَ فَتُثيرُ سَحابًا فَيَبسُطُهُ فِي السَّماءِ كَيفَ يَشاءُ وَيَجعَلُهُ كِسَفًا فَتَرَى الوَدقَ يَخرُجُ مِن خِلالِهِ ۖ فَإِذا أَصابَ بِهِ مَن يَشاءُ مِن عِبادِهِ إِذا هُم يَستَبشِرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Allahu allathee yursilu alrriyaha fatutheeru sahaban fayabsutuhu fee alssamai kayfa yashao wayajAAaluhu kisafan fatara alwadqa yakhruju min khilalihi faitha asaba bihi man yashao min AAibadihi itha hum yastabshiroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Allaahul lazee yursilur riyaaha fatuseeru sahaaban fa yabsutuhoo fis samaaa'i kaifa yashaaa'u wa yaj'aluhoo kisafan fataral wadqa yakhruju min khilaalihee fa izaaa asaaba bihee mai yashaaa'u min 'ibaadiheee izaa hum yastabshiroon |
| English (Pickthall) | Allah is He Who sendeth the winds so that they raise clouds, and spreadeth them along the sky as pleaseth Him, and causeth them to break and thou seest the rain downpouring from within them. And when He maketh it to fall on whom He will of His bondmen, lo! they rejoice; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | It is Allah Who sends the Winds, and they raise the Clouds: then does He spread them in the sky as He wills, and break them into fragments, until thou seest rain-drops issue from the midst thereof: then when He has made them reach such of his servants as He wills behold, they do rejoice!- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | It is Allah who sends the winds, and they stir the clouds and spread them in the sky however He wills, and He makes them fragments so you see the rain emerge from within them. And when He causes it to fall upon whom He wills of His servants, immediately they rejoice |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Allah, may He be glorified, is the one who sends the winds and drives them. Those winds gather and move the clouds, stretching them in the sky however He wishes, either little or large; He also makes them into pieces sometimes. O observer! You then see the rain coming from within it, so when the rain reaches whichever of His servants He wishes, they become happy with the mercy of Allah upon them in the form of rainfall that will cause the earth to grow that which they and their livestock need. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ख़ुदा ही (क़ादिर तवाना) है जो हवाओं को भेजता है तो वह बादलों को उड़ाए उड़ाए फिरती हैं फिर वही ख़ुदा बादल को जिस तरह चाहता है आसमान में फैला देता है और (कभी) उसको टुकड़े (टुकड़े) कर देता है फिर तुम देखते हो कि बूँदियां उसके दरमियान से निकल पड़ती हैं फिर जब ख़ुदा उन्हें अपने बन्दों में से जिस पर चहता है बरसा देता है तो वह लोग खुशियाँ माानने लगते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | महिमावान अल्लाह ही है, जो हवाओं को चलाता और भेजता है। फिर वे हवाएँ बादलों को उठाती और उन्हें स्थानांतरित करती हैं। फिर अल्लाह बादलों को आसमान में, कम या अधिक जैसे चाहता है, फैला देता है और उन्हें टुकड़े-टुकड़े बना देता है। फिर तुम (ऐ देखने वाले!) उन बादलों के बीच से बारिश को निकलते हुए देखते हो। फिर जब अल्लाह अपने बंदों में से जिसपर चाहता है, वर्षा बरसाता है, तो वे अपने ऊपर अल्लाह की उस बारिश बरसाने की दया से खुश हो जाते हैं, जिसके बाद धरती उनके और उनके जानवरों के लिए आवश्यक चीज़ें उगाती है। |
| Ayah 49 |
| عَرَبِي | وَإِن كانوا مِن قَبلِ أَن يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيهِم مِن قَبلِهِ لَمُبلِسينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wain kanoo min qabli an yunazzala AAalayhim min qablihi lamubliseena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa in kaanoo min qabli any yunazzala 'alaihim min qablihee lamubliseen |
| English (Pickthall) | Though before that, even before it was sent down upon them, they were in despair. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Even though, before they received (the rain) - just before this - they were dumb with despair! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Although they were, before it was sent down upon them - before that, in despair. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | While just previously, they had been losing hope in any rain falling upon them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जबकि इससे पूर्व, इससे पहले कि वह उनपर उतरे, वे बिलकुल निराश थे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | अगरचे ये लोग उन पर (बाराने रहमत) नाज़िल होने से पहले (बारिश से) शुरु ही से बिल्कुल मायूस (और मज़बूर) थे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जबकि वे अल्लाह के उनपर वर्षा बरसाने से पहले निश्चित रूप से उसके उतरने से निराश हो चुके थे। |
| Ayah 50 |
| عَرَبِي | فَانظُر إِلىٰ آثارِ رَحمَتِ اللَّهِ كَيفَ يُحيِي الأَرضَ بَعدَ مَوتِها ۚ إِنَّ ذٰلِكَ لَمُحيِي المَوتىٰ ۖ وَهُوَ عَلىٰ كُلِّ شَيءٍ قَديرٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faonthur ila athari rahmati Allahi kayfa yuhyee alarda baAAda mawtiha inna thalika lamuhyee almawta wahuwa AAala kulli shayin qadeerun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fanzur ilaaa aasaari rahmatil laahi kaifa yuhyil arda ba'da mawtihaa; inna zaalika lamuhyil mawtaa wa Huwa 'alaa kulli shai'in Qadeer |
| English (Pickthall) | Look, therefore, at the prints of Allah's mercy (in creation): how He quickeneth the earth after her death. Lo! He verily is the Quickener of the Dead, and He is Able to do all things. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Then contemplate (O man!) the memorials of Allah's Mercy!- how He gives life to the earth after its death: verily the same will give life to the men who are dead: for He has power over all things. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So observe the effects of the mercy of Allah - how He gives life to the earth after its lifelessness. Indeed, that [same one] will give life to the dead, and He is over all things competent. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! Look at the effects of the rainfall that Allah sends out of mercy for His servants; how Allah revives the earth with the various plants that grow after it had dried up and become barren. Indeed, the being who revived that dry earth is the one who will resurrect the dead as living; He is capable of everything, nothing is beyond His power and ability. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अतः देखों अल्लाह की दयालुता के चिन्ह! वह किस प्रकार धरती को उसके मृत हो जाने के पश्चात जीवन प्रदान करता है। निश्चय ही वह मुर्दों को जीवत करनेवाला है, और उसे हर चीज़ का सामर्थ्य प्राप्ती है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ग़रज़ ख़ुदा की रहमत के आसार की तरफ देखो तो कि वह क्योंकर ज़मीन को उसकी परती होने के बाद आबाद करता है बेशक यक़ीनी वही मुर्दो को ज़िन्दा करने वाला और वही हर चीज़ पर क़ादिर है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अतः (ऐ रसूल) आप उस बारिश के प्रभावों को देखें, जिसे अल्लाह अपने बंदों के लिए दया के रूप में उतारता है कि अल्लाह किस तरह धरती को, उसके सूख जाने के बाद उसपर तरह-तरह के पौधे उगाकर, पुनर्जीवित कर देता है। निःसंदेह जिसने उस सूखी भूमि को पुनर्जीवित कर दिया, निश्चय वही मरे हुए लोगों को जीवित करके उठाने वाला है। और वह सब कुछ करने में सक्षम है, कोई चीज़ उसे विवश नहीं कर सकती। |
| Ayah 51 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَئِن أَرسَلنا ريحًا فَرَأَوهُ مُصفَرًّا لَظَلّوا مِن بَعدِهِ يَكفُرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walain arsalna reehan faraawhu musfarran lathalloo min baAAdihi yakfuroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa la'in arsalnaa reehan fara awhu musfarral lazalloo mim ba'dihee yakfuroon |
| English (Pickthall) | And if We sent a wind and they beheld it yellow, they verily would still continue in their disbelief. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And if We (but) send a Wind from which they see (their tilth) turn yellow,- behold, they become, thereafter, Ungrateful (Unbelievers)! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But if We should send a [bad] wind and they saw [their crops] turned yellow, they would remain thereafter disbelievers. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | If we were to send upon their farms and crops a wind which would spoil them, and they were to then see their crops yellow in colour after they had previously been green, they would then begin to show ingratitude to the numerous other bounties of Allah they were given before that. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | किन्तु यदि हम एक दूसरी हवा भेज दें, जिसके प्रभाव से वे उस (खेती) को पीली पड़ी हुई देखें तो इसके पश्चात वे कुफ़्र करने लग जाएँ |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और अगर हम (खेती की नुकसान देह) हवा भेजें फिर लोग खेती को (उसी हवा की वजह से) ज़र्द (परस मुर्दा) देखें तो वह लोग इसके बाद (फौरन) नाशुक्री करने लगें |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और अगर हम उनकी फसलों और पौधों पर कोई ऐसी हवा भेज दें, जो उन्हें बर्बाद कर दे, फिर वे अपनी हरी-भरी फसलों को पीली पड़ी हुई देखें, तो वे उन्हें देखने के बाद अल्लाह की पिछली नेमतों की, उनकी बहुतायत के बावजूद, नाशुक्री करने लगेंगे। |
| Ayah 52 |
| عَرَبِي | فَإِنَّكَ لا تُسمِعُ المَوتىٰ وَلا تُسمِعُ الصُّمَّ الدُّعاءَ إِذا وَلَّوا مُدبِرينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fainnaka la tusmiAAu almawta wala tusmiAAu alssumma aldduAAaa itha wallaw mudbireena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa innaka laa tusmi'ul mawtaa wa laa tusmi'us summad du'aaa'a izaa wallaw mudbireen |
| English (Pickthall) | For verily thou (Muhammad) canst not make the dead to hear, nor canst thou make the deaf to hear the call when they have turned to flee. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | So verily thou canst not make the dead to hear, nor canst thou make the deaf to hear the call, when they show their backs and turn away. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So indeed, you will not make the dead hear, nor will you make the deaf hear the call when they turn their backs, retreating. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So just as you are incapable of making the dead and deaf hear, after they have distanced themselves from you to emphasise their inability to hear you, likewise you cannot guide those who are similar to them if they turn away and do not benefit. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अतः तुम मुर्दों को नहीं सुना सकते और न बहरों को अपनी पुकार सुना सकते हो, जबकि वे पीठ फेरे चले जो रहे हों |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (ऐ रसूल) तुम तो (अपनी) आवाज़ न मुर्दो ही को सुना सकते हो और न बहरों को सुना सकते हो (ख़ुसूसन) जब वह पीठ फेरकर चले जाएँ |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जिस तरह आप मरे हुए लोगों को नहीं सुना सकते और न ही बहरों को सुना सकते हैं, जबकि वे आपसे यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए दूर चले गए हैं कि उन्हें सुनाई न दे, तो उसी तरह आप उन लोगों का मार्गदर्शन नहीं कर सकते, जो मुँह फेरने और लाभ न उठाने के कारण, इन लोगों के समान हैं। |
| Ayah 53 |
| عَرَبِي | وَما أَنتَ بِهادِ العُميِ عَن ضَلالَتِهِم ۖ إِن تُسمِعُ إِلّا مَن يُؤمِنُ بِآياتِنا فَهُم مُسلِمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wama anta bihadi alAAumyi AAan dalalatihim in tusmiAAu illa man yuminu biayatina fahum muslimoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa maa anta bihaadil 'umyi 'an dalaalatihim in tusmi'u illaa mai yuminu bi aayaatinaa fahum muslimoon (section 5) |
| English (Pickthall) | Nor canst thou guide the blind out of their error. Thou canst make none to hear save those who believe in Our revelations so that they surrender (unto Him). |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Nor canst thou lead back the blind from their straying: only those wilt thou make to hear, who believe in Our signs and submit (their wills in Islam). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And you cannot guide the blind away from their error. You will only make hear those who believe in Our verses so they are Muslims [in submission to Allah]. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | You are not able to guide those who have deviated from the straight path, onto treading the right path. Neither are you able to make anyone hear something beneficial to them, except those who believe in My Verses, because only they are the ones who will benefit from whatever you say; they are the ones submissive and accepting of My command. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और न तुम अंधों को उनकी गुमराही से फेरकर मार्ग पर ला सकते हो। तुम तो केवल उन्हीं को सुना सकते हो जो हमारी आयतों पर ईमान लाएँ। तो वही आज्ञाकारी हैं |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और न तुम अंधों को उनकी गुमराही से (फेरकर) राह पर ला सकते हो तो तुम तो बस उन्हीं लोगों को सुना (समझा) सकते हो जो हमारी आयतों को दिल से मानें फिर यही लोग इस्लाम लाने वाले हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | आप सीधे रास्ते से भटके हुए को सत्य के मार्ग पर चलने की तौफ़ीक़ (सामर्थ्य) नहीं दे सकते। आप लाभ उठाए जाने के तौर पर केवल उसी को सुना सकते हैं, जो हमारी आयतों पर ईमान रखता है; क्योंकि वही आपकी बातों से लाभान्वित होता है। तो वही हमारे आदेश का पालन करने वाले और उसके अधीन हैं। |
| Ayah 54 |
| عَرَبِي | ۞ اللَّهُ الَّذي خَلَقَكُم مِن ضَعفٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِن بَعدِ ضَعفٍ قُوَّةً ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِن بَعدِ قُوَّةٍ ضَعفًا وَشَيبَةً ۚ يَخلُقُ ما يَشاءُ ۖ وَهُوَ العَليمُ القَديرُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Allahu allathee khalaqakum min daAAfin thumma jaAAala min baAAdi daAAfin quwwatan thumma jaAAala min baAAdi quwwatin daAAfan washaybatan yakhluqu ma yashao wahuwa alAAaleemu alqadeeru |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Allahul lazee khalaqa kum min du'fin summa ja'ala mim ba'di du'fin quwwatan summa ja'ala mim ba'di quwwatin du'fanw wa shaibah; yakhluqu maa yashaaa'u wa Huwal 'Aleemul Qadeer |
| English (Pickthall) | Allah is He Who shaped you out of weakness, then appointed after weakness strength, then, after strength, appointed weakness and grey hair. He createth what He will. He is the Knower, the Mighty. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | It is Allah Who created you in a state of (helpless) weakness, then gave (you) strength after weakness, then, after strength, gave (you weakness and a hoary head: He creates as He wills, and it is He Who has all knowledge and power. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Allah is the one who created you from weakness, then made after weakness strength, then made after strength weakness and white hair. He creates what He wills, and He is the Knowing, the Competent. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O people! Allah is the one who created you from a despised fluid, then He gave you the strength of manhood after the weakness of childhood, then gave you the weakness of old age after the strength of manhood. Allah creates whatever He wishes i.e. strength and weakness; He is he Knower of everything, nothing is hidden from Him; the Capable nothing is beyond His power and ability. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अल्लाह ही है जिसनें तुम्हें निर्बल पैदा किया, फिर निर्बलता के पश्चात शक्ति प्रदान की; फिर शक्ति के पश्चात निर्बलता औऱ बुढापा दिया। वह जो कुछ चाहता है पैदा करता है। वह जाननेवाला, सामर्थ्यवान है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | खुदा ही तो है जिसने तुम्हें (एक निहायत) कमज़ोर चीज़ (नुत्फे) से पैदा किया फिर उसी ने (तुम में) बचपने की कमज़ोरी के बाद (शबाब की) क़ूवत अता की फिर उसी ने (तुममें जवानी की) क़ूवत के बाद कमज़ोरी और बुढ़ापा पैदा कर दिया वह जो चाहता पैदा करता है-और वही बड़ा वाकिफकार और (हर चीज़ पर) क़ाबू रखता है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अल्लाह वह है, जिसने (ऐ लोगो!) तुम्हें एक तुच्छ पानी (नुत्फ़े) से पैदा किया। फिर उसने तुम्हारी बचपन की कमज़ोरी के बाद जवानी की शक्ति बनाई, फिर जवानी की शक्ति के बाद पुढ़ापे की कमज़ोरी बनाई। अल्लाह जो भी कमज़ोरी और शक्ति चाहता है, पैदा करता है। और वह हर चीज़ को जानता है, उससे कोई चीज़ छिपी नहीं है। वह सर्वशक्तिमान है, जिसे कोई चीज़ विवश नहीं कर सकती। |
| Ayah 55 |
| عَرَبِي | وَيَومَ تَقومُ السّاعَةُ يُقسِمُ المُجرِمونَ ما لَبِثوا غَيرَ ساعَةٍ ۚ كَذٰلِكَ كانوا يُؤفَكونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wayawma taqoomu alssaAAatu yuqsimu almujrimoona ma labithoo ghayra saAAatin kathalika kanoo yufakoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa Yawma taqoomus Saa'atu yuqsimul mujrimoona maa labisoo ghaira saa'ah; kazaalika kaanoo yu'fakoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And on the day when the Hour riseth the guilty will vow that they did tarry but an hour - thus were they ever deceived. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | On the Day that the Hour (of Reckoning) will be established, the transgressors will swear that they tarried not but an hour: thus were they used to being deluded! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And the Day the Hour appears the criminals will swear they had remained but an hour. Thus they were deluded. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | On the day judgement shall occur, the criminals will swear that had not been in their graves except a very short period of time. Likewise they were deluded in the world by denying the truth. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जिस दिन वह घड़ी आ खड़ी होगी अपराधी क़सम खाएँगे कि वे घड़ी भर से अधिक नहीं ठहरें। इसी प्रकार वे उलटे फिरे चले जाते थे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जिस दिन क़यामत बरपा होगी तो गुनाहगार लोग कसमें खाएँगें कि वह (दुनिया में) घड़ी भर से ज्यादा नहीं ठहरे यूँ ही लोग (दुनिया में भी) इफ़तेरा परदाज़ियाँ करते रहे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क़ियामत के दिन अपराधी कसमें खाकर कहेंगे कि वे अपनी कब्रों में एक घड़ी से अधिक नहीं ठहरे। जिस तरह वे यह जानने से विचलित कर दिए गए कि वे अपनी क़ब्रों में कितना ठहरे, उसी तरह वे दुनिया में सत्य से फेर दिए जाते थे। |
| Ayah 56 |
| عَرَبِي | وَقالَ الَّذينَ أوتُوا العِلمَ وَالإيمانَ لَقَد لَبِثتُم في كِتابِ اللَّهِ إِلىٰ يَومِ البَعثِ ۖ فَهٰذا يَومُ البَعثِ وَلٰكِنَّكُم كُنتُم لا تَعلَمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waqala allatheena ootoo alAAilma waaleemana laqad labithtum fee kitabi Allahi ila yawmi albaAAthi fahatha yawmu albaAAthi walakinnakum kuntum la taAAlamoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa qaalal lazeena ootul 'ilma wal eemaana laqad labistum fee kitaabil laahi ilaa yawmil ba'si fahaazaa yawmul ba'si wa laakinnakum kuntum laa ta'lamoon |
| English (Pickthall) | But those to whom knowledge and faith are given will say: The truth is, ye have tarried, by Allah's decree, until the Day of Resurrection. This is the Day of Resurrection, but ye used not to know. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But those endued with knowledge and faith will say: "Indeed ye did tarry, within Allah's Decree, to the Day of Resurrection, and this is the Day of Resurrection: but ye - ye were not aware!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But those who were given knowledge and faith will say, "You remained the extent of Allah 's decree until the Day of Resurrection, and this is the Day of Resurrection, but you did not used to know." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those prophets and angels to whom Allah has granted knowledge will say, “You remained for as long as Allah decreed according to His infinite knowledge, until the day of your resurrection which you would deny, but you did not know that the resurrection was a reality and so you rejected it.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | किन्तु जिन लोगों को ज्ञान और ईमान प्रदान हुआ, वे कहते, "अल्लाह के लेख में तो तुम जीवित होकर उठने के दिन ठहरे रहे हो। तो यही जीवित हो उठाने का दिन है। किन्तु तुम जानते न थे।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जिन लोगों को (ख़ुदा की बारगाह से) इल्म और ईमान दिया गया है जवाब देगें कि (हाए) तुम तो ख़ुदा की किताब के मुताबिक़ रोज़े क़यामत तक (बराबर) ठहरे रहे फिर ये तो क़यामत का ही दिन है मगर तुम लोग तो उसका यक़ीन ही न रखते थे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जिन लोगों को अल्लाह ने ज्ञान और ईमान दिया जैसे अंबिया और फ़रिश्ते, वे कहेंगे : अल्लाह ने अपने पूर्व ज्ञान में जो लिखा था, उसके अनुसार तुम अपने सृजन के दिन से लेकर अपने पुनर्जीवन के इस दिन तक ठहरे हो, जिसे तुमने अस्वीकार कर दिया था। तो यह लोगों के अपनी कब्रों से उठाए जाने का दिन है। लेकिन तुम नहीं जानते थे कि दोबारा जीवित होकर उठना एक वास्तविकता है, इसलिए तुमने उसपर विश्वास नहीं किया। |
| Ayah 57 |
| عَرَبِي | فَيَومَئِذٍ لا يَنفَعُ الَّذينَ ظَلَموا مَعذِرَتُهُم وَلا هُم يُستَعتَبونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fayawmaithin la yanfaAAu allatheena thalamoo maAAthiratuhum wala hum yustaAAtaboona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa Yawma'izil laa yanfa'ul lazeena zalamoo ma'ziratu hum wa laa hum yusta'taboon |
| English (Pickthall) | In that day their excuses will not profit those who did injustice, nor will they be allowed to make amends. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | So on that Day no excuse of theirs will avail the transgressors, nor will they be invited (then) to seek grace (by repentance). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So that Day, their excuse will not benefit those who wronged, nor will they be asked to appease [Allah]. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So on the day when Allah shall resurrect all creations to give account and be requited, all the excuses the wrongdoers made up will not benefit them, and it will not be asked of them to now please Allah by repenting, because of the time for it having expired. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अतः उस दिन ज़ुल्म करनेवालों को उनका कोई उज़्र (सफाई पेश करना) काम न आएगा और न उनसे यह चाहा जाएगा कि वे किसी यत्न से (अल्लाह के) प्रकोप को टाल सकें |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो उस दिन सरकश लोगों को न उनकी उज्र माअज़ेरत कुछ काम आएगी और न उनकी सुनवाई होगी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जिस दिन अल्लाह प्राणियों को हिसाब और बदला देने के लिए उठाएगा, उस दिन ज़ालिमों को उनके बनाए गए बहानों से लाभ नहीं होगा और न ही उनसे तौबा और अल्लाह की ओर एकाग्रता के द्वारा अल्लाह को प्रसन्न करने के लिए कहा जाएगा। क्योंकि इसका समय बीत चुका होगा। |
| Ayah 58 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَقَد ضَرَبنا لِلنّاسِ في هٰذَا القُرآنِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍ ۚ وَلَئِن جِئتَهُم بِآيَةٍ لَيَقولَنَّ الَّذينَ كَفَروا إِن أَنتُم إِلّا مُبطِلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaqad darabna lilnnasi fee hatha alqurani min kulli mathalin walain jitahum biayatin layaqoolanna allatheena kafaroo in antum illa mubtiloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laqad darabnaa linnaasi fee haazal Quraani min kulli masal; wa la'in ji'tahum bi aayatil la yaqoolannal lazeena kafaroo in antum illaa mubtiloon |
| English (Pickthall) | Verily We have coined for mankind in this Qur'an all kinds of similitudes; and indeed if thou camest unto them with a miracle, those who disbelieve would verily exclaim: Ye are but tricksters! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | verily We have propounded for men, in this Qur'an every kind of Parable: But if thou bring to them any Sign, the Unbelievers are sure to say, "Ye do nothing but talk vanities." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We have certainly presented to the people in this Qur'an from every [kind of] example. But, [O Muhammad], if you should bring them a sign, the disbelievers will surely say, "You [believers] are but falsifiers." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And verily, taking the people into consideration, I have mentioned every type of example for them in this Qur’ān, so that the truth becomes clearly distinguished to them from falsehood. O Messenger! If you were to bring to them a clear proof of your truthfulness, those who disbelieve in Allah would say, “You only bring futile things!” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | हमने इस क़ुरआन में लोगों के लिए प्रत्येक मिसाल पेश कर दी है। यदि तुम कोई भी निशानी उनके पास ले आओ, जिन लोगों ने इनकार किया है, वे तो यही कहेंगे, "तुम तो बस झूठ घड़ते हो।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और हमने तो इस कुरान में (लोगों के समझाने को) हर तरह की मिसल बयान कर दी और अगर तुम उनके पास कोई सा मौजिज़ा ले आओ |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हमने लोगों के लिए (उनका ध्यान रखते हुए) इस क़ुरआन में हर तरह के उदाहरण प्रस्तुत किए हैं। ताकि उनके लिए असत्य से सत्य स्पष्ट हो जाए। और (ऐ रसूल) अगर आप उनके पास अपने सच्चे रसूल होने का कोई प्रमाण भी लेकर आएँ, तो अल्लाह का इनकार करने वाले अवश्य कहेंगे : तुम जो कुछ लेकर आए हो, उसमें तुम झूठे हो। |
| Ayah 59 |
| عَرَبِي | كَذٰلِكَ يَطبَعُ اللَّهُ عَلىٰ قُلوبِ الَّذينَ لا يَعلَمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Kathalika yatbaAAu Allahu AAala quloobi allatheena la yaAAlamoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Kazaalika yatba'ul laahu 'alaa quloobil lazeena laa ya'lamoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Thus doth Allah seal the hearts of those who know not. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Thus does Allah seal up the hearts of those who understand not. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Thus does Allah seal the hearts of those who do not know. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Allah seals and misguides the heart of those who purposely reject the signs you bring them. Likewise Allah seals the heart of every disbeliever of the truth. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | इस प्रकार अल्लाह उन लोगों के दिलों पर ठप्पा लगा देता है जो अज्ञानी है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो भी यक़ीनन कुफ्फ़ार यही बोल उठेंगे कि तुम लोग निरे दग़ाबाज़ हो जो लोग समझ (और इल्म) नहीं रखते उनके दिलों पर नज़र करके ख़ुदा यू तसदीक़ करता है (कि ये ईमान न लाएँगें) |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जिस तरह इन लोगों के दिलों पर मुहर लगा दिया है, जिनके पास यदि आप कोई निशानी लाएँ, तो वे उसपर विश्वास नहीं करते हैं, उसी तरह अल्लाह उन सभी लोगों के दिलों पर मुहर लगा देता है, जो यह नहीं जानते कि आप जो कुछ लेकर आए हैं, वह सत्य है। |
| Ayah 60 |
| عَرَبِي | فَاصبِر إِنَّ وَعدَ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ ۖ وَلا يَستَخِفَّنَّكَ الَّذينَ لا يوقِنونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faisbir inna waAAda Allahi haqqun wala yastakhiffannaka allatheena la yooqinoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fasbir inna wa'dal laahi haqqunw wa laa yastakhif fannakal lazeena laa yooqinoon |
| English (Pickthall) | So have patience (O Muhammad)! Allah's promise is the very truth, and let not those who have no certainty make thee impatient. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | So patiently persevere: for verily the promise of Allah is true: nor let those shake thy firmness, who have (themselves) no certainty of faith. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So be patient. Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth. And let them not disquiet you who are not certain [in faith]. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! Bear patience on the rejection of your people of you. Indeed, Allah’s promise to you of help and establishment no doubt remains. Let not those who do not believe they are going to be resurrected, lead you to become hasty and impatient. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अतः धैर्य से काम लो निश्चय ही अल्लाह का वादा सच्चा है और जिन्हें विश्वास नहीं, वे तुम्हें कदापि हल्का न पाएँ |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो (ऐ रसूल) तुम सब्र करो बेशक ख़ुदा का वायदा सच्चा है और (कहीं) ऐसा न हो कि जो (तुम्हारी) तसदीक़ नहीं करते तुम्हें (बहका कर) ख़फ़ीफ़ करे दें |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल) आप अपनी जाति के आपको झुठलाने पर सब्र से काम लें। निश्चित रूप से अल्लाह ने आपसे जो सहायता और प्रभुत्व प्रदान करने का वादा किया है, वह सच्चा है, उसमें कोई संदेह नहीं है। और वे लोग जो दोबारा जीवित कर उठाए जाने पर विश्वास नहीं रखते हैं, आपको जल्दी करने और सब्र छोड़ने पर न उभारें। |
