| عَرَبِي | يا أَيُّهَا الَّذينَ آمَنوا لا تُقَدِّموا بَينَ يَدَيِ اللَّهِ وَرَسولِهِ ۖ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَميعٌ عَليمٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la tuqaddimoo bayna yadayi Allahi warasoolihi waittaqoo Allaha inna Allaha sameeAAun AAaleemun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yaa ayyuhal lazeena aamanoo la tuqaddimoo baina yada yil laahi wa Rasoolihee wattaqul laah; innal laaha samee'un 'Aleem |
| English (Pickthall) | O ye who believe! Be not forward in the presence of Allah and His messenger, and keep your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is Hearer, Knower. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | O Ye who believe! Put not yourselves forward before Allah and His Messenger; but fear Allah: for Allah is He Who hears and knows all things. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | O you who have believed, do not put [yourselves] before Allah and His Messenger but fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O those who have faith in Allah and follow whatever He legislates! Do not precede Allah or His Messenger in speech or action, and be mindful of Allah by fulfilling His commands and refrain from that which He has prohibited. Indeed, Allah is hearing of your statements, aware of your actions. He does not miss any of them and will soon requite you for them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | ऐ ईमानवालो! अल्लाह और उसके रसूल से आगे न बढो और अल्लाह का डर रखो। निश्चय ही अल्लाह सुनता, जानता है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ऐ ईमानदारों ख़ुदा और उसके रसूल के सामने किसी बात में आगे न बढ़ जाया करो और ख़ुदा से डरते रहो बेशक ख़ुदा बड़ा सुनने वाला वाक़िफ़कार है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ऐ अल्लाह पर ईमान रखने वालो और उसकी शरीयत का पालन करने वालो! किसी वचन या कर्म द्वारा अल्लाह और उसके रसूल से आगे न बढ़ो। और अल्लाह से, उसके आदेशों का पालन करके और उसके निषेधों से बचकर, डरते रहो। निःसंदेह अल्लाह तुम्हारी बातों को सुनने वाला, तुम्हारे कार्यों को जानने वाला है। उनमें से कोई भी चीज़ उससे छूट नहीं सकती और वह तुम्हें उनका बदला देगा। |
| Ayah 2 |
| عَرَبِي | يا أَيُّهَا الَّذينَ آمَنوا لا تَرفَعوا أَصواتَكُم فَوقَ صَوتِ النَّبِيِّ وَلا تَجهَروا لَهُ بِالقَولِ كَجَهرِ بَعضِكُم لِبَعضٍ أَن تَحبَطَ أَعمالُكُم وَأَنتُم لا تَشعُرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la tarfaAAoo aswatakum fawqa sawti alnnabiyyi wala tajharoo lahu bialqawli kajahri baAAdikum libaAAdin an tahbata aAAmalukum waantum la tashAAuroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yaa ayyuhal lazeena aamanoo laa tarfa'ooo aswaatakum fawqa sawtin Nabiyi wa laa tajharoo lahoo bilqawli kajahri ba'dikum liba 'din an tahbata a 'maalukum wa antum laa tash'uroon |
| English (Pickthall) | O ye who believe! Lift not up your voices above the voice of the Prophet, nor shout when speaking to him as ye shout one to another, lest your works be rendered vain while ye perceive not. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | O ye who believe! Raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet, nor speak aloud to him in talk, as ye may speak aloud to one another, lest your deeds become vain and ye perceive not. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | O you who have believed, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet or be loud to him in speech like the loudness of some of you to others, lest your deeds become worthless while you perceive not. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O those who have faith in Allah and follow whatever He legislates! Show good manners with His Messenger: do not raise your voices in his presence nor speak loudly to him out of respect for him, like you raise your voices to each other whilst talking to them. It is feared that the rewards of your deeds are nullified if you do so, whilst you do not realise they have been nullified. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | ऐ लोगो, जो ईमान लाए हो! तुम अपनी आवाज़ों को नबी की आवाज़ से ऊँची न करो। और जिस तरह तुम आपस में एक-दूसरे से ज़ोर से बोलते हो, उससे ऊँची आवाज़ में बात न करो। कहीं ऐसा न हो कि तुम्हारे कर्म अकारथ हो जाएँ और तुम्हें ख़बर भी न हो |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ऐ ईमानदारों (बोलने में) अपनी आवाज़े पैग़म्बर की आवाज़ से ऊँची न किया करो और जिस तरह तुम आपस में एक दूसरे से ज़ोर (ज़ोर) से बोला करते हो उनके रूबरू ज़ोर से न बोला करो (ऐसा न हो कि) तुम्हारा किया कराया सब अकारत हो जाए और तुमको ख़बर भी न हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ऐ अल्लाह पर ईमान रखने वालो और उसकी शरीयत का पालन करने वालो! उसके रसूल के साथ शिष्टाचार से पेश आओ और नबी से बात करते समय अपनी आवाज़ को उनकी आवाज़ से ऊँची न होने दो, और उन्हें आपस में एक-दूसरे को पुकारने की तरह उनके नाम से न पुकारो। बल्कि उन्हें ऐ नबी! और ऐ रसूल! कहकर विनम्रता से पुकारो; ऐसा न हो कि कहीं तुम्हारे कर्मों का बदला अकारथ चला जाए और तुम्हें इसका एहसास तक न हो। |
| Ayah 3 |
| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ الَّذينَ يَغُضّونَ أَصواتَهُم عِندَ رَسولِ اللَّهِ أُولٰئِكَ الَّذينَ امتَحَنَ اللَّهُ قُلوبَهُم لِلتَّقوىٰ ۚ لَهُم مَغفِرَةٌ وَأَجرٌ عَظيمٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna allatheena yaghuddoona aswatahum AAinda rasooli Allahi olaika allatheena imtahana Allahu quloobahum lilttaqwa lahum maghfiratun waajrun AAatheemun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innal lazeena yaghud doona aswaatahum 'inda Rasoolil laahi ulaaa'ikal lazeenam tah anal laahu quloobahum littaqwaa; lahum maghfiratunw waajrun 'azeem |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! they who subdue their voices in the presence of the messenger of Allah, those are they whose hearts Allah hath proven unto righteousness. Theirs will be forgiveness and immense reward. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those that lower their voices in the presence of Allah's Messenger,- their hearts has Allah tested for piety: for them is Forgiveness and a great Reward. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, those who lower their voices before the Messenger of Allah - they are the ones whose hearts Allah has tested for righteousness. For them is forgiveness and great reward. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Indeed, those who lower their voices near the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), they are the ones whose hearts Allah has examined for His consciousness, and chosen them for it. For them is forgiveness for their sins; they will not be accounted for them, and they will receive a great reward on the Day of Judgement, which will be that Allah enters them into Paradise. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वे लोग जो अल्लाह के रसूल के समक्ष अपनी आवाज़ों को दबी रखते है, वही लोग है जिनके दिलों को अल्लाह ने परहेज़गारी के लिए जाँचकर चुन लिया है। उनके लिए क्षमा और बड़ा बदला है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | बेशक जो लोग रसूले ख़ुदा के सामने अपनी आवाज़ें धीमी कर लिया करते हैं यही लोग हैं जिनके दिलों को ख़ुदा ने परहेज़गारी के लिए जाँच लिया है उनके लिए (आख़ेरत में) बख़्शिस और बड़ा अज्र है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो लोग अल्लाह के रसूल सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम के पास अपनी आवाज़ें धीमी रखते हैं, वही लोग हैं, जिनके दिलों को अल्लाह ने अपनी परहेज़गारी के लिए जाँच लिया है और उन्हें उसके लिए चुन लिया है। उनके लिए उनके पापों की क्षमा है, इसलिए वह उनकी पकड़ नहीं करेगा। तथा उनके लिए क़ियामत के दिन महान प्रतिफल है, जो कि यह है कि अल्लाह उन्हें जन्नत में दाखिल करेगा। |
| Ayah 4 |
| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ الَّذينَ يُنادونَكَ مِن وَراءِ الحُجُراتِ أَكثَرُهُم لا يَعقِلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna allatheena yunadoonaka min warai alhujurati aktharuhum la yaAAqiloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innal lazeena yunaadoo naka minw waraaa'il hujuraati aksaruhum laa ya'qiloon |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! those who call thee from behind the private apartments, most of them have no sense. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who shout out to thee from without the inner apartments - most of them lack understanding. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, those who call you, [O Muhammad], from behind the chambers - most of them do not use reason. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! Indeed, those bedouins who call out to you from behind the dwellings of your wives, the majority of them do not understand, so do not worry about them, because if they were understanding, they would surely show good manners to you and would definitely wait until you came out to them. Then, when you came out to them, they would speak to you about their matters by lowering their voices. However, most of them have not yet understood this. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जो लोग (ऐ नबी) तुम्हें कमरों के बाहर से पुकारते है उनमें से अधिकतर बुद्धि से काम नहीं लेते |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (ऐ रसूल) जो लोग तुमको हुजरों के बाहर से आवाज़ देते हैं उनमें के अक्सर बे अक्ल हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो बद्दू लोग (ऐ रसूल!) आपको, आपकी पत्नियों के कमरों के बाहर से पुकारते हैं, उनमें से अधिकांश नहीं समझते। |
| Ayah 5 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَو أَنَّهُم صَبَروا حَتّىٰ تَخرُجَ إِلَيهِم لَكانَ خَيرًا لَهُم ۚ وَاللَّهُ غَفورٌ رَحيمٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaw annahum sabaroo hatta takhruja ilayhim lakana khayran lahum waAllahu ghafoorun raheemun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa law annahum sabaroo hatta takhruja ilaihim lakaana khairal lahum; wallaahu Ghafoorur Raheem |
| English (Pickthall) | And if they had had patience till thou camest forth unto them, it had been better for them. And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | If only they had patience until thou couldst come out to them, it would be best for them: but Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And if they had been patient until you [could] come out to them, it would have been better for them. But Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! If these people who call out to you from behind the dwellings of your wives were to have waited and not called out to you until you came out to them, then talked to you in lowered voices, it would have been better for them than calling out to you from behind the dwellings, because it would have been more dignified and respectful. And Allah Forgiving of the sins of those of them who repent, and others. He Forgiving of them due to their ignorance, and is merciful to them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | यदि वे धैर्य से काम लेते यहाँ तक कि तुम स्वयं निकलकर उनके पास आ जाते तो यह उनके लिए अच्छा होता। किन्तु अल्लाह बड़ा क्षमाशील, अत्यन्त दयावान है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और अगर ये लोग इतना ताम्मुल करते कि तुम ख़ुद निकल कर उनके पास आ जाते (तब बात करते) तो ये उनके लिए बेहतर था और ख़ुदा तो बड़ा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और यदि ये लोग जो (ऐ रसूल!) आपको आपकी पत्नियों के कमरों के बाहर से पुकारते हैं, धैर्य रखते और आपको न पुकारते यहाँ तक कि आप उनके पास निकल कर आते, फिर वे धीमी आवाज़ में आपसे बात करते; तो यह उनके लिए आपको बाहर से पुकारने की तुलना में बेहतर होता; क्योंकि इसमें आदर और सम्मान पाया जाता है। तथा अल्लाह उनमें से तथा उनके अलावा लोगों में से तौबा करने वालों के पापों को माफ़ करने वाला है और उन्हें उनकी अज्ञानता के कारण क्षमा करने वाला, उनपर दया करने वाला है। |
| Ayah 6 |
| عَرَبِي | يا أَيُّهَا الَّذينَ آمَنوا إِن جاءَكُم فاسِقٌ بِنَبَإٍ فَتَبَيَّنوا أَن تُصيبوا قَومًا بِجَهالَةٍ فَتُصبِحوا عَلىٰ ما فَعَلتُم نادِمينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo in jaakum fasiqun binabain fatabayyanoo an tuseeboo qawman bijahalatin fatusbihoo AAala ma faAAaltum nadimeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yaaa ayyuhal lazeena aamanoo in jaaa'akum faasqum binaba in fatabaiyanooo an tuseeboo qawmam bijahalatin fatusbihoo 'alaa maa fa'altum naadimeen |
| English (Pickthall) | O ye who believe! If an evil-liver bring you tidings, verify it, lest ye smite some folk in ignorance and afterward repent of what ye did. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | O ye who believe! If a wicked person comes to you with any news, ascertain the truth, lest ye harm people unwittingly, and afterwards become full of repentance for what ye have done. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O those who have faith in Allah and act upon whatever He legislates! If a wrongdoer brings some news about a group of people to you, then verify the truth of that news and do not hasten towards accepting it, in fear that if you accept it without verifying it, you could harm a group of people ignorantly. Then after having harmed them, you will regret it when the falsehood of the news becomes clear to you. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | ऐ लोगों, जो ईमान लाए हो! यदि कोई अवज्ञाकारी तुम्हारे पास कोई ख़बर लेकर आए तो उसकी छानबीन कर लिया करो। कहीं ऐसा न हो कि तुम किसी गिरोह को अनजाने में तकलीफ़ और नुक़सान पहुँचा बैठो, फिर अपने किए पर पछताओ |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ऐ ईमानदारों अगर कोई बदकिरदार तुम्हारे पास कोई ख़बर लेकर आए तो ख़ूब तहक़ीक़ कर लिया करो (ऐसा न हो) कि तुम किसी क़ौम को नादानी से नुक़सान पहुँचाओ फिर अपने किए पर नादिम हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ऐ अल्लाह पर ईमान लाने वालो और उसकी शरीयत पर अमल करने वालो! यदि कोई दुराचारी व्यक्ति तुम्हारे पास किसी समुदाय के बारे में कोई समाचार लेकर आए, तो उसके समाचार की प्रामाणिकता को सत्यापित कर लिया करो, और उसपर विश्वास करने में जल्दबाज़ी न करो; ऐसा न हो कि (यदि तुमने बिना छानबीन के उसकी खबर पर विश्वास कर लिया) तुम किसी समुदाय को कुछ नुक़सान पहुँचा दो, जबकि तुम उनके बारे में सच्चाई से अनजान हो। फिर उन्हें नुक़सान पहुँचाने के बाद तुम्हें पछताना पड़े, जब तुम्हारे लिए यह स्पष्ट हो जाए कि उसकी ख़बर झूठी है। |
| Ayah 7 |
| عَرَبِي | وَاعلَموا أَنَّ فيكُم رَسولَ اللَّهِ ۚ لَو يُطيعُكُم في كَثيرٍ مِنَ الأَمرِ لَعَنِتُّم وَلٰكِنَّ اللَّهَ حَبَّبَ إِلَيكُمُ الإيمانَ وَزَيَّنَهُ في قُلوبِكُم وَكَرَّهَ إِلَيكُمُ الكُفرَ وَالفُسوقَ وَالعِصيانَ ۚ أُولٰئِكَ هُمُ الرّاشِدونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | WaiAAlamoo anna feekum rasoola Allahi law yuteeAAukum fee katheerin mina alamri laAAanittum walakinna Allaha habbaba ilaykumu aleemana wazayyanahu fee quloobikum wakarraha ilaykumu alkufra waalfusooqa waalAAisyana olaika humu alrrashidoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa'lamooo anna feekum Rasoolal laah; law yutee'ukum fee kaseerim minal amrila'anittum wa laakinnal laaha habbaba ilaikumul eemaana wa zaiyanahoo fee quloobikum wa karraha ilaikumul kufra walfusooqa wal'isyaan; ulaaaika humur raashidoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And know that the messenger of Allah is among you. If he were to obey you in much of the government, ye would surely be in trouble; but Allah hath endeared the faith to you and hath beautified it in your hearts, and hath made disbelief and lewdness and rebellion hateful unto you. Such are they who are the rightly guided. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And know that among you is Allah's Messenger: were he, in many matters, to follow your (wishes), ye would certainly fall into misfortune: But Allah has endeared the Faith to you, and has made it beautiful in your hearts, and He has made hateful to you Unbelief, wickedness, and rebellion: such indeed are those who walk in righteousness;- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And know that among you is the Messenger of Allah. If he were to obey you in much of the matter, you would be in difficulty, but Allah has endeared to you the faith and has made it pleasing in your hearts and has made hateful to you disbelief, defiance and disobedience. Those are the [rightly] guided. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O believers! Know that amongst you is the Messenger of Allah upon whom revelation descends, so beware of lying in case he receives revelation informing him of your lying. He is better aware of your needs; if he was to obey you in many of the things you suggest, you would surely fall into difficulty which he would not want for you. However, Allah has, through His grace, made faith beloved to you and has beautified it for your hearts and so you accepted it, while making you hate disbelief, disobedience and sin. Those who possess these qualities are the ones who are treading the path of correctness and righteousness. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जान लो कि तुम्हारे बीच अल्लाह का रसूल मौजूद है। बहुत-से मामलों में यदि वह तुम्हारी बात मान ले तो तुम कठिनाई में पड़ जाओ। किन्तु अल्लाह ने तुम्हारे लिए ईमान को प्रिय बना दिया और उसे तुम्हारे दिलों में सुन्दरता दे दी और इनकार, उल्लंघन और अवज्ञा को तुम्हारे लिए बहुत अप्रिय बना दिया। |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जान रखो कि तुम में ख़ुदा के पैग़म्बर (मौजूद) हैं बहुत सी बातें ऐसी हैं कि अगर रसूल उनमें तुम्हारा कहा मान लिया करें तो (उलटे) तुम ही मुश्किल में पड़ जाओ लेकिन ख़ुदा ने तुम्हें ईमान की मोहब्बत दे दी है और उसको तुम्हारे दिलों में उमदा कर दिखाया है और कुफ़्र और बदकारी और नाफ़रमानी से तुमको बेज़ार कर दिया है यही लोग ख़ुदा के फ़ज़ल व एहसान से राहे हिदायत पर हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और (ऐ ईमान वालों!) जान लो कि तुम्हारे बीच अल्लाह के रसूल मौजूद हैं जिनपर वह़्य (प्रकाशना) उतरती है। इसलिए झूठ बोलने से सावधान रहो। क्योंकि अल्लाह उनपर वह़्य उतारकर उन्हें तुम्हारे झूठ के बारे में बता देगा। वह उसे अधिक जानते हैं जिसमें तुम्हारा हित है। अगर वह तुम्हारे बहुत-से सुझावों में तुम्हारी बात मान लें, तो तुम कठिनाई में पड़ जाओगे, जो वह तुम्हारे लिए पसंद नहीं करता है। लेकिन अल्लाह ने अपने अनुग्रह से तुम्हारे लिए ईमान को प्रिय कर दिया और उसे तुम्हारे दिलों में सुंदर बना दिया है, इसलिए तुम ईमान ले आए तथा उसने कुफ़्र, अवज्ञा और पाप को तुम्हारे लिए घिनौना बना दिया। ये लोग जो इन गुणों से सुसज्जित हैं वही हिदायत और भलाई के रास्ते पर चलने वाले हैं। |
| Ayah 8 |
| عَرَبِي | فَضلًا مِنَ اللَّهِ وَنِعمَةً ۚ وَاللَّهُ عَليمٌ حَكيمٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fadlan mina Allahi waniAAmatan waAllahu AAaleemun hakeemun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fadlam minal laahi wa ni'mah; wallaahu 'Aleemun Hakeem |
| English (Pickthall) | (It is) a bounty and a grace from Allah; and Allah is Knower, Wise. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | A Grace and Favour from Allah; and Allah is full of Knowledge and Wisdom. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [It is] as bounty from Allah and favor. And Allah is Knowing and Wise. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The beautification of goodness and hating of evil that you have achieved is only through the grace of Allah which He bestowed upon you and favoured you with. And Allah is aware of those of His servants who are grateful to Him and so He gives them the ability; He is Wise in that He places each thing in its appropriate place. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | ऐसे ही लोग अल्लाह के उदार अनुग्रह और अनुकम्पा से सूझबूझवाले है। और अल्लाह सब कुछ जाननेवाला, तत्वदर्शी है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और ख़ुदा तो बड़ा वाक़िफ़कार और हिकमत वाला है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तुम्हें जो कुछ प्राप्त हुआ (जैसे तुम्हारे दिलों में भलाई को सुंदर और बुराई को अप्रिय बनाना), वह केवल अल्लाह का अनुग्रह है, जो उसने तुमपर किया है और उसकी नेमत है, जो उसने तुम्हें प्रदान की है। और अल्लाह अपने बंदों में से उसे खूब जानने वाला है, जो उसका शुक्र अदा करता है, इसलिए उसे सामर्थ्य प्रदान करता है, तथा पूर्ण हिकमत वाला है क्योंकि वह हर चीज़ को उसके उचित स्थान पर रखता है। |
| Ayah 9 |
| عَرَبِي | وَإِن طائِفَتانِ مِنَ المُؤمِنينَ اقتَتَلوا فَأَصلِحوا بَينَهُما ۖ فَإِن بَغَت إِحداهُما عَلَى الأُخرىٰ فَقاتِلُوا الَّتي تَبغي حَتّىٰ تَفيءَ إِلىٰ أَمرِ اللَّهِ ۚ فَإِن فاءَت فَأَصلِحوا بَينَهُما بِالعَدلِ وَأَقسِطوا ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ المُقسِطينَ |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa in taaa'ifataani minal mu'mineenaq tataloo faaslihoo bainahumaa fa-im baghat ih daahumaa 'alal ukhraa faqaatilul latee tabhee hattaa tafeee'a ilaaa amril laah; fa-in faaa't fa aslihoo bainahumaa bil'adli wa aqsitoo innal laaha yuhibbul muqsiteen |
| English (Pickthall) | And if two parties of believers fall to fighting, then make peace between them. And if one party of them doeth wrong to the other, fight ye that which doeth wrong till it return unto the ordinance of Allah; then, if it return, make peace between them justly, and act equitably. Lo! Allah loveth the equitable. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | If two parties among the Believers fall into a quarrel, make ye peace between them: but if one of them transgresses beyond bounds against the other, then fight ye (all) against the one that transgresses until it complies with the command of Allah; but if it complies, then make peace between them with justice, and be fair: for Allah loves those who are fair (and just). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And if two factions among the believers should fight, then make settlement between the two. But if one of them oppresses the other, then fight against the one that oppresses until it returns to the ordinance of Allah. | English (Abridged Expl.) | O believers! If two groups of believers quarrel with one another, then reconcile between them by inviting them to let the law of Allah be the judgement between them. Then, if one of the two reject the reconciliation and transgresses, fight the transgressing group until it returns to accepting the command of Allah. If it returns, reconcile between the two groups with fairness and justice. And be fair in your judgement between them, indeed, Allah loves those who are fair in their judgement. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | यदि मोमिनों में से दो गिरोह आपस में लड़ पड़े तो उनके बीच सुलह करा दो। फिर यदि उनमें से एक गिरोह दूसरे पर ज़्यादती करे, तो जो गिरोह ज़्यादती कर रहा हो उससे लड़ो, यहाँ तक कि वह अल्लाह के आदेश की ओर पलट आए। फिर यदि वह पलट आए तो उनके बीच न्याय के साथ सुलह करा दो, और इनसाफ़ करो। निश्चय ही अल्लाह इनसाफ़ करनेवालों को पसन्द करता है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और अगर मोमिनीन में से दो फिरक़े आपस में लड़ पड़े तो उन दोनों में सुलह करा दो फिर अगर उनमें से एक (फ़रीक़) दूसरे पर ज्यादती करे तो जो (फिरक़ा) ज्यादती करे तुम (भी) उससे लड़ो यहाँ तक वह ख़ुदा के हुक्म की तरफ रूझू करे फिर जब रूजू करे तो फरीकैन में मसावात के साथ सुलह करा दो और इन्साफ़ से काम लो बेशक ख़ुदा इन्साफ़ करने वालों को दोस्त रखता है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | यदि मोमिनों के दो समूह आपस में लड़ पड़ें, तो (ऐ मोमिनो!) दोनों के बीच सुलह करा दो, इस प्रकार कि उन दोनों को अपने विवाद में अल्लाह की शरीयत को मध्यस्थ बनाने के लिए आमंत्रित करो। फिर यदि दोनों में से एक सुलह से इनकार कर दे और ज़्यादती करे, तो ज़्यादती करने वाले समूह से लड़ो, यहाँ तक कि वह अल्लाह के फैसले की ओर पलट आए। अगर वह अल्लाह के फैसले की ओर पलट आए, तो दोनों के बीच न्याय और निष्पक्षता के साथ सुलह करा दो और दोनों के बीच अपने निर्णय में न्याय से काम लो। निःसंदेह अल्लाह उन लोगों से प्रेम करता है, जो अपने निर्णय में न्याय से काम लेते हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّمَا المُؤمِنونَ إِخوَةٌ فَأَصلِحوا بَينَ أَخَوَيكُم ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُم تُرحَمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Innama almuminoona ikhwatun faaslihoo bayna akhawaykum waittaqoo Allaha laAAallakum turhamoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innamal mu'minoona ikhwatun fa aslihoo baina akhawaykum wattaqul laaha la'allakum tuhamoon |
| English (Pickthall) | The believers are naught else than brothers. Therefore make peace between your brethren and observe your duty to Allah that haply ye may obtain mercy. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The Believers are but a single Brotherhood: So make peace and reconciliation between your two (contending) brothers; and fear Allah, that ye may receive Mercy. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The believers are brothers in Islam, and brotherhood in Islam demands that you, O believers, reconcile between your quarrelling brothers. | हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ईमान वाले तो इस्लाम में भाई हैं, और इस्लाम में भाईचारे का तक़ाज़ा है यह है कि (ऐ ईमान वालो!) तुम अपने दो झगड़ने वाले भाइयों के बीच मेल-मिलाप करा दो। तथा अल्लाह से, उसकी आज्ञाओं का पालन करके और उसके निषेधों से दूर रहकर, डरते रहो; इस आशा में कि तुमपर दया की जाए। |
| Ayah 11 |
| عَرَبِي | يا أَيُّهَا الَّذينَ آمَنوا لا يَسخَر قَومٌ مِن قَومٍ عَسىٰ أَن يَكونوا خَيرًا مِنهُم وَلا نِساءٌ مِن نِساءٍ عَسىٰ أَن يَكُنَّ خَيرًا مِنهُنَّ ۖ وَلا تَلمِزوا أَنفُسَكُم وَلا تَنابَزوا بِالأَلقابِ ۖ بِئسَ الِاسمُ الفُسوقُ بَعدَ الإيمانِ ۚ وَمَن لَم يَتُب فَأُولٰئِكَ هُمُ الظّالِمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo la yaskhar qawmun min qawmin AAasa an yakoonoo khayran minhum wala nisaon min nisain AAasa an yakunna khayran minhunna wala talmizoo anfusakum wala tanabazoo bialalqabi bisa alismu alfusooqu baAAda aleemani waman lam yatub faolaika humu alththalimoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yaaa ayyuhal lazeena aamanoo laa yaskhar qawmum min qawmin 'asaaa anyyakoonoo khairam minhum wa laa nisaaa'um min nisaaa'in 'Asaaa ay yakunna khairam minhunna wa laa talmizooo bil alqaab; bi'sal ismul fusooqu ba'dal eemaan; wa mal-lam yatub fa-ulaaa'ika humuz zaalimoon |
| English (Pickthall) | O ye who believe! Let not a folk deride a folk who may be better than they (are), not let women (deride) women who may be better than they are; neither defame one another, nor insult one another by nicknames. Bad is the name of lewdness after faith. And whoso turneth not in repentance, such are evil-doers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | O ye who believe! Let not some men among you laugh at others: It may be that the (latter) are better than the (former): Nor let some women laugh at others: It may be that the (latter are better than the (former): Nor defame nor be sarcastic to each other, nor call each other by (offensive) nicknames: Ill-seeming is a name connoting wickedness, (to be used of one) after he has believed: And those who do not desist are (indeed) doing wrong. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O those who have faith in Allah and act upon what He has legislated! A group of you should not mock another; perhaps those that have been mocked are better according to Allah. True consideration is only for what Allah considers. And a group of women should not mock another group of women; perhaps the group mocked at is better according to Allah. Do not taunt the souls of your brothers, because they are like your own souls, and do not call others with names they do not like - as was the case of a few of the Anṣār before the arrival of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). Whoever does that is a wrongdoer, and deviance is a very bad trait after having brought faith. Whoever does not repent from these sins are oppressing themselves by placing themselves in situations of destruction due to the sins they commit. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | ऐ लोगो, जो ईमान लाए हो! न पुरुषों का कोई गिरोह दूसरे पुरुषों की हँसी उड़ाए, सम्भव है वे उनसे अच्छे हों और न स्त्रियाँ स्त्रियों की हँसी उड़ाए, सम्भव है वे उनसे अच्छी हों, और न अपनों पर ताने कसो और न आपस में एक-दूसरे को बुरी उपाधियों से पुकारो। ईमान के पश्चात अवज्ञाकारी का नाम जुडना बहुत ही बुरा है। और जो व्यक्ति बाज़ न आए, तो ऐसे ही व्यक्ति ज़ालिम है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ऐ ईमानदारों (तुम किसी क़ौम का) कोई मर्द ( दूसरी क़ौम के मर्दों की हँसी न उड़ाये मुमकिन है कि वह लोग (ख़ुदा के नज़दीक) उनसे अच्छे हों और न औरते औरतों से (तमसख़ुर करें) क्या अजब है कि वह उनसे अच्छी हों और तुम आपस में एक दूसरे को मिलने न दो न एक दूसरे का बुरा नाम धरो ईमान लाने के बाद बदकारी (का) नाम ही बुरा है और जो लोग बाज़ न आएँ तो ऐसे ही लोग ज़ालिम हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ऐ अल्लाह पर ईमान लाने वालो और उसकी शरीयत पर अमल करने वालो! तुम्हारे पुरुषों का कोई समूह दूसरे समूह का मज़ाक न उड़ाए, संभव है कि जिनका मज़ाक उड़ाया जा रहा है, वे अल्लाह के निकट अच्छे हों, और मायने वही रखता है जो अल्लाह के निकट है। और न कोई स्त्रियाँ दूसरी स्त्रियों का मज़ाक उड़ाएँ, संभव है कि जिन स्त्रियों का मज़ाक उड़ाया जा रहा है, वे अल्लाह के निकट बेहतर हों। और अपने भाइयों पर दोष न लगाओ, क्योंकि वे तुम्हारी अपनी जानों के दर्जे में हैं। और तुममें से कोई किसी को ऐसी उपाधि के द्वारा शरम न दिलाए, जिसे वह नापसंद करता है, जैसा कि अल्लाह के रसूल सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम के आगमन से पहले कुछ अंसारियों का हाल था। तुममें से जो ऐसा करेगा, वह अवज्ञाकारी है। ईमान के बाद अवज्ञा की विशेषता बहुत बुरी विशेषता है। और जिसने इन पापों से तौबा नहीं की, तो वही लोग अपने किए हुए पापों के कारण खुद को विनाश के संसाधनों में लाकर, अपने आपपर अत्याचार करने वाले हैं। |
| Ayah 12 |
| عَرَبِي | يا أَيُّهَا الَّذينَ آمَنُوا اجتَنِبوا كَثيرًا مِنَ الظَّنِّ إِنَّ بَعضَ الظَّنِّ إِثمٌ ۖ وَلا تَجَسَّسوا وَلا يَغتَب بَعضُكُم بَعضًا ۚ أَيُحِبُّ أَحَدُكُم أَن يَأكُلَ لَحمَ أَخيهِ مَيتًا فَكَرِهتُموهُ ۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَوّابٌ رَحيمٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo ijtaniboo katheeran mina alththanni inna baAAda alththanni ithmun wala tajassasoo wala yaghtab baAAdukum baAAdan ayuhibbu ahadukum an yakula lahma akheehi maytan fakarihtumoohu waittaqoo Allaha inna Allaha tawwabun raheemun |

| English (Pickthall) | O ye who believe! Shun much suspicion; for lo! some suspicion is a crime. And spy not, neither backbite one another. Would one of you love to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Ye abhor that (so abhor the other)! And keep your duty (to Allah). Lo! Allah is Relenting, Merciful. |

Stay away from most suspicions which are not based on causes and indications that give them credence, because some suspicions are sinful, like suspecting one who is apparently pious. And do not persue the faults of believers behind their backs, nor mention another in a manner he dislikes, because mentioning him in a manner he dislikes is like eating his flesh whilst he is dead. Do any of you wish to eat the flesh of his dead brother? Therefore, abhor backbiting him because it is like that. And be mindful of Allah by fulfilling His commands and refrain from that which He has prohibited. Indeed, Allah Forgiving of those of His servants who repent; merciful to them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | ऐ ईमान लानेवालो! बहुत से गुमानों से बचो, क्योंकि कतिपय गुमान गुनाह होते है। और न टोह में पड़ो और न तुममें से कोई किसी की पीठ पीछे निन्दा करे - क्या तुममें से कोई इसको पसन्द करेगा कि वह मरे हुए भाई का मांस खाए? वह तो तुम्हें अप्रिय होगी ही। - और अल्लाह का डर रखो। निश्चय ही अल्लाह तौबा क़बूल करनेवाला, अत्यन्त दयावान है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ऐ ईमानदारों बहुत से गुमान (बद) से बचे रहो क्यों कि बाज़ बदगुमानी गुनाह हैं और आपस में एक दूसरे के हाल की टोह में न रहा करो और न तुममें से एक दूसरे की ग़ीबत करे क्या तुममें से कोई इस बात को पसन्द करेगा कि अपने मरे हुए भाई का गोश्त खाए तो तुम उससे (ज़रूर) नफरत करोगे और ख़ुदा से डरो, बेशक ख़ुदा बड़ा तौबा क़ुबूल करने वाला मेहरबान है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ऐ अल्लाह पर ईमान रखने और उसकी शरीयत पर अमल करने वालो! बहुत-से ऐसे आरोपों से बचो, जो उन्हें अनिवार्य करने वाले कारणों और संकेतों (लक्षणों) पर आधारित नहीं हैं। निश्चय कुछ गुमान पाप हैं, जैसे किसी ऐसे व्यक्ति के बारे में बुरा ख़याल रखना, जो नेक दिखाई देता है। और ईमान वालों की छिपी हुई बातों (दोषों) के पीछे न पड़ो। तथा कोई व्यक्ति अपने भाई के बारे में ऐसी बात का उल्लेख न करे, जो उसे नापसंद हो। क्योंकि उसका उल्लेख ऐसी बात के साथ करना, जो उसे नापसंद है, उसके मरे हुए मांस को खाने के समान है। क्या तुममें से कोई अपने मरे हुए भाई का मांस खाना चाहेगा?! अतः उसकी गीबत करने को नापसंद करो, क्योंकि वह उसके समान है। तथा अल्लाह से, उसके आदेशों का पालन करके और उसके निषेधों से दूर रहकर, डरते रहो। निश्चय अल्लाह अपने तौबा करने वाले बंदों को बहुत ज़्यादा माफ़ करने वाला, उनपर बहुत दया करने वाला है। |
| Ayah 13 |
| عَرَبِي | يا أَيُّهَا النّاسُ إِنّا خَلَقناكُم مِن ذَكَرٍ وَأُنثىٰ وَجَعَلناكُم شُعوبًا وَقَبائِلَ لِتَعارَفوا ۚ إِنَّ أَكرَمَكُم عِندَ اللَّهِ أَتقاكُم ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَليمٌ خَبيرٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ya ayyuha alnnasu inna khalaqnakum min thakarin waontha wajaAAalnakum shuAAooban waqabaila litaAAarafoo inna akramakum AAinda Allahi atqakum inna Allaha AAaleemun khabeerun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yaaa ayyuhan naasu innaa khalaqnaakum min zakarinw wa unsaa wa ja'alnaakum shu'oobanw wa qabaaa'ila lita'aarafoo inna akramakum 'indal laahi atqaakum innal laaha 'Aleemun khabeer |
| English (Pickthall) | O mankind! Lo! We have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that ye may know one another. Lo! the noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct. Lo! Allah is Knower, Aware. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things). |

Therefore, your lineage is the same, so some of you should not take pride in lineage over others. Then, I made you into many nations and dispersed tribes, so that you may recognise one another; not so that you take pride in them, because pride can only be due to Allah-consciousness; Indeed, the most noble from among you according to Allah is the one who is most mindful of Him. Indeed, Allah is aware of your conditions, knowing of what levels of perfection and deficiency you are on; nothing is hidden from him. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | ऐ लोगो! हमनें तुम्हें एक पुरुष और एक स्त्री से पैदा किया और तुम्हें बिरादरियों और क़बिलों का रूप दिया, ताकि तुम एक-दूसरे को पहचानो। वास्तव में अल्लाह के यहाँ तुममें सबसे अधिक प्रतिष्ठित वह है, जो तुममे सबसे अधिक डर रखता है। निश्चय ही अल्लाह सबकुछ जाननेवाला, ख़बर रखनेवाला है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | लोगों हमने तो तुम सबको एक मर्द और एक औरत से पैदा किया और हम ही ने तुम्हारे कबीले और बिरादरियाँ बनायीं ताकि एक दूसरे की शिनाख्त करे इसमें शक़ नहीं कि ख़ुदा के नज़दीक तुम सबमें बड़ा इज्ज़तदार वही है जो बड़ा परहेज़गार हो बेशक ख़ुदा बड़ा वाक़िफ़कार ख़बरदार है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ऐ लोगो! हमने तुम्हें एक नर अर्थात् तुम्हारे पिता आदम अलैहिस्सलाम और एक मादा अर्थात् तुम्हारी माँ हव्वा से पैदा किया। इस तरह तुम्हारा वंश एक ही है। इसलिए तुम वंश में एक-दूसरे पर गर्व न करो। फिर उसके बाद हमने तुमको बहुत सी जातियाँ और बिखरे हुए गोत्र बनाए; ताकि तुम एक-दूसरे को पहचानो, न कि उसपर घमंड करो। क्योंकि एक-दूसरे से प्रतिष्ठित होने का मानदंड केवल तक़्वा (परहेज़गारी) है। इसलिए आगे फरमाया : निःसंदहे तुममें सबसे सम्मान वाला अल्लाह के निकट वह है, जो तुममें सबसे ज़्यादा तक़्वा वाला है। निश्चय अल्लाह तुम्हारी स्थितियों को जानने वाला, तुम्हारी पूर्णता और अपूर्णता के बारे में अवगत है, इसमें से कुछ भी उससे छिपा नहीं है। |
| Ayah 14 |
| عَرَبِي | ۞ قالَتِ الأَعرابُ آمَنّا ۖ قُل لَم تُؤمِنوا وَلٰكِن قولوا أَسلَمنا وَلَمّا يَدخُلِ الإيمانُ في قُلوبِكُم ۖ وَإِن تُطيعُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسولَهُ لا يَلِتكُم مِن أَعمالِكُم شَيئًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفورٌ رَحيمٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qalati alaAArabu amanna qul lam tuminoo walakin qooloo aslamna walamma yadkhuli aleemanu fee quloobikum wain tuteeAAoo Allaha warasoolahu la yalitkum min aAAmalikum shayan inna Allaha ghafoorun raheemun |

If you obey Allah and His Messenger in faith, in doing good deeds, and in refraining from the unlawful, Allah will not decrease the reward of your deeds in the slightest. Indeed, Allah Forgiving of those of His servants who repent and is merciful to them.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | बद्दुओं ने कहा कि, "हम ईमान लाए।" कह दो, "तुम ईमान नहीं लाए। किन्तु यूँ कहो, 'हम तो आज्ञाकारी हुए' ईमान तो अभी तुम्हारे दिलों में दाख़िल ही नहीं हुआ। यदि तुम अल्लाह और उसके रसूल की आज्ञा का पालन करो तो वह तुम्हारे कर्मों में से तुम्हारे लिए कुछ कम न करेगा। निश्चय ही अल्लाह बड़ा क्षमाशील, अत्यन्त दयावान है।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | अरब के देहाती कहते हैं कि हम ईमान लाए (ऐ रसूल) तुम कह दो कि तुम ईमान नहीं लाए बल्कि (यूँ) कह दो कि इस्लाम लाए हालॉकि ईमान का अभी तक तुम्हारे दिल में गुज़र हुआ ही नहीं और अगर तुम ख़ुदा की और उसके रसूल की फरमाबरदारी करोगे तो ख़ुदा तुम्हारे आमाल में से कुछ कम नहीं करेगा - बेशक ख़ुदा बड़ा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | कुछ बद्दुओं ने, अल्लाह के रसूल सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम के पास आकर कहा : हम अल्लाह और उसके रसूल पर ईमान ले आए। (ऐ रसूल!) आप उनसे कह दें : तुम ईमान नहीं लाए। लेकिन तुम यह कहो : हम समर्पित हो गए और आज्ञाकारी बन गए। और अभी तक ईमान तुम्हारे दिलों में प्रवेश नहीं किया। अलबत्ता उसके प्रवेश करने की उम्मीद है। और अगर (ऐ देहातियो!) तुम ईमान, अच्छे कर्मों तथा हराम कामों से बचने में अल्लाह और उसके रसूल का आज्ञापालन करोगे, तो अल्लाह तुम्हें तुम्हारे कर्मों के प्रतिफल में से कुछ भी कमी नहीं करेगा। निःसंदेह अल्लाह अपने तौबा करने वाले बंदों को बहुत माफ़ करने वाला, उनपर अत्यंत दया करने वाला है। |
| Ayah 15 |
| عَرَبِي | إِنَّمَا المُؤمِنونَ الَّذينَ آمَنوا بِاللَّهِ وَرَسولِهِ ثُمَّ لَم يَرتابوا وَجاهَدوا بِأَموالِهِم وَأَنفُسِهِم في سَبيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ أُولٰئِكَ هُمُ الصّادِقونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Innama almuminoona allatheena amanoo biAllahi warasoolihi thumma lam yartaboo wajahadoo biamwalihim waanfusihim fee sabeeli Allahi olaika humu alssadiqoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innamal muu'minoonal lazeena aamanoo billaahi wa Rasoolihee summa lam yartaaboo wa jaahadoo biamwaalihim wa anfusihim fee sabeelil laah; ulaaaika humus saadiqoon |
| English (Pickthall) | The (true) believers are those only who believe in Allah and His messenger and afterward doubt not, but strive with their wealth and their lives for the cause of Allah. Such are the sincere. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Only those are Believers who have believed in Allah and His Messenger, and have never since doubted, but have striven with their belongings and their persons in the Cause of Allah: Such are the sincere ones. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | The believers are only the ones who have believed in Allah and His Messenger and then doubt not but strive with their properties and their lives in the cause of Allah. It is those who are the truthful. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The believers are only those who have faith in Allah and His Messenger, and then do not pollute their faith with doubts and strive in the way of Allah with their wealth and souls, not holding back on anything. Those are the ones truthful in their faith. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | मोमिन तो बस वही लोग है जो अल्लाह और उसके रसूल पर ईमान लाए, फिर उन्होंने कोई सन्देह नहीं किया और अपने मालों और अपनी जानों से अल्लाह के मार्ग में जिहाद किया। वही लोग सच्चे है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (सच्चे मोमिन) तो बस वही हैं जो ख़ुदा और उसके रसूल पर ईमान लाए फिर उन्होंने उसमें किसी तरह का शक़ शुबह न किया और अपने माल से और अपनी जानों से ख़ुदा की राह में जेहाद किया यही लोग (दावाए ईमान में) सच्चे हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | मोमिन तो वही लोग हैं, जो अल्लाह और उसके रसूल पर ईमान लाए, फिर उनके ईमान पर संदेह का गुज़र नहीं हुआ। तथा उन्होंने अपने धन एवं प्राण के साथ अल्लाह के मार्ग में जिहाद किया और इस मामले में कोई कंजूसी नहीं की। जो लोग इन गुणों से सुसज्जित हैं, वही लोग अपने ईमान में सच्चे हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | قُل أَتُعَلِّمونَ اللَّهَ بِدينِكُم وَاللَّهُ يَعلَمُ ما فِي السَّماواتِ وَما فِي الأَرضِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيءٍ عَليمٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qul atuAAallimoona Allaha bideenikum waAllahu yaAAlamu ma fee alssamawati wama fee alardi waAllahu bikulli shayin AAaleemun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qul atu'allimoonal laaha bideenikum wallaahu ya'lamu maa fis samaawaati wa maa fil ard; wallaahu bikulli shai'in 'Aleem |
| English (Pickthall) | Say (unto them, O Muhammad): Would ye teach Allah your religion, when Allah knoweth all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, and Allah is Aware of all things? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Say: "What! Will ye instruct Allah about your religion? But Allah knows all that is in the heavens and on earth: He has full knowledge of all things. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Say, "Would you acquaint Allah with your religion while Allah knows whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and Allah is Knowing of all things?" |

Say to these bedouins: “Are you teaching Allah and informing Him about your religion, whilst Allah knows all that is in the heavens and on earth; He knows everything and nothing is hidden from him, so He does not need you to inform Him about your religion.” |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (ऐ रसूल इनसे) पूछो तो कि क्या तुम ख़ुदा को अपनी दीदारी जताते हो और ख़ुदा तो जो कुछ आसमानों मे है और जो कुछ ज़मीन में है (ग़रज़ सब कुछ) जानता है और ख़ुदा हर चीज़ से ख़बरदार है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल!) आप इन बद्दुओं से कह दें : क्या तुम अल्लाह को अपने धर्म से अवगत करा रहे हो और उसे उसकी सूचना दे रहे हो?! हालाँकि अल्लाह जानता है जो कुछ आकाशों में है और जो कुछ धरती पर है। और अल्लाह सब कुछ जानने वाला है, उससे कुछ भी छिपा नहीं है। अतः उसे यह आवश्यकता नहीं है कि तुम उसे अपने धर्म के बारे में बताओ। |
| Ayah 17 |
| عَرَبِي | يَمُنّونَ عَلَيكَ أَن أَسلَموا ۖ قُل لا تَمُنّوا عَلَيَّ إِسلامَكُم ۖ بَلِ اللَّهُ يَمُنُّ عَلَيكُم أَن هَداكُم لِلإيمانِ إِن كُنتُم صادِقينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yamunnoona AAalayka an aslamoo qul la tamunnoo AAalayya islamakum bali Allahu yamunnu AAalaykum an hadakum lileemani in kuntum sadiqeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yamunnoona 'alaika an aslamoo qul laa tamunnoo 'alaiya Islaamakum balillaahu yamunnu 'alaikum an hadaakum lil eemaani in kuntum saadiqeen |
| English (Pickthall) | They make it a favour unto thee (Muhammad) that they have surrendered (unto Him). Say: Deem not your Surrender a favour unto me; but Allah doth confer a favour on you, inasmuch as He hath led you to the Faith, if ye are earnest. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They impress on thee as a favour that they have embraced Islam. Say, "Count not your Islam as a favour upon me: Nay, Allah has conferred a favour upon you that He has guided you to the faith, if ye be true and sincere. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | They consider it a favor to you that they have accepted Islam. Say, "Do not consider your Islam a favor to me. Rather, Allah has conferred favor upon you that He has guided you to the faith, if you should be truthful." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! These bedouins recount their favour upon you by mentioning their Islam. Say to them: “Do not recount your entering the religion of Allah as a favour upon me; its benefit - if achieved - will return to you alone. Rather, it is Allah who recounts His favour upon you that He granted you the ability to enter into His religion, if indeed, you are truthful in your claim that you have entered into it.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वे तुमपर एहसान जताते है कि उन्होंने इस्लाम क़बूल कर लिया। कह दो, "मुझ पर अपने इस्लाम का एहसान न रखो, बल्कि यदि तुम सच्चे हो तो अल्लाह ही तुमपर एहसान रखता है कि उसने तुम्हें ईमान की राह दिखाई।- |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (ऐ रसूल) तुम पर ये लोग (इसलाम लाने का) एहसान जताते हैं तुम (साफ़) कह दो कि तुम अपने इसलाम का मुझ पर एहसान न जताओ (बल्कि) अगर तुम (दावाए ईमान में) सच्चे हो तो समझो कि, ख़ुदा ने तुम पर एहसान किया कि उसने तुमको ईमान का रास्ता दिखाया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल!) ये बद्दू आपपर अपने इस्लाम लाने का एहसान जतला रहे हैं। आप उनसे कह दें : तुम अपने अल्लाह के धर्म में दाखिल होने का मुझपर एहसान मत रखो। क्योंकि उसका लाभ (यदि हुआ तो) तुम्हें ही होगा। बल्कि अल्लाह ही तुमपर एहसान रखता है कि उसने तुम्हें उसपर ईमान लाने का सामर्थ्य प्रदान किया, यदि तुम अपने इस दावे में सच्चे हो कि तुम अल्लाह के धर्म में दाखिल प्रवेश किए हो। |
| Ayah 18 |
| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَعلَمُ غَيبَ السَّماواتِ وَالأَرضِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ بَصيرٌ بِما تَعمَلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna Allaha yaAAlamu ghayba alssamawati waalardi waAllahu baseerun bima taAAmaloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innal laaha ya'lamu ghaibas samaawaati wal ard; wallaahu baseerum bimaa ta'maloon |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! Allah knoweth the Unseen of the heavens and the earth. And Allah is Seer of what ye do. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "Verily Allah knows the secrets of the heavens and the earth: and Allah Sees well all that ye do." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, Allah knows the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth. And Allah is Seeing of what you do. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निःसंदेह अल्लाह आकाशों और धरती की छिपी चीज़ों को जानता है। उनमें से कुछ भी उससे छिपा नहीं है। तथा अल्लाह खूब देखने वाला है जो कुछ तुम करते हो, तुम्हारे कामों में से कुछ भी उससे छिपा नहीं है, और वह तुम्हें उसके भले और बुरे के लिए बदला देगा। |
