| Transliteration (Unicode) | Allaa tatghaw fil meezaan |

| English (Yusuf Ali) | In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. |

| عَرَبِي | وَأَقيمُوا الوَزنَ بِالقِسطِ وَلا تُخسِرُوا الميزانَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waaqeemoo alwazna bialqisti wala tukhsiroo almeezana |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa aqeemul wazna bilqisti wa laa tukhsirul meezaan |
| English (Pickthall) | But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | So establish weight with justice and fall not short in the balance. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waalhabbu thoo alAAasfi waalrrayhani |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Walhabbu zul 'asfi war Raihaanu |
| English (Pickthall) | Husked grain and scented herb. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-smelling plants. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And grain having husks and scented plants. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | It contains grain with straw like wheat and barley and the different types of grain that you have been provided as food. It contains plants whose fragrances you find to be pleasant. |

| English (Pickthall) | And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. |

| English (Pickthall) | He hath loosed the two seas. They meet. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | Allah mixed the two seas, the salty and the sweet, that converge as far as the eye can see. |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Bainahumaa barzakhul laa yabghiyaan |
| English (Pickthall) | There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Between them is a barrier that prevents each one of them from transgressing over the other so that the sweet remains sweet and the salty remains salty. |

| English (Pickthall) | O company of jinn and men, if ye have power to penetrate (all) regions of the heavens and the earth, then penetrate (them)! Ye will never penetrate them save with (Our) sanction. |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yu'raful mujrimoona biseemaahum fa'yu'khazu binna waasi wal aqdaam |
| English (Pickthall) | The guilty will be known by their marks, and will be taken by the forelocks and the feet. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | (For) the sinners will be known by their marks: and they will be seized by their forelocks and their feet. |
