| عَرَبِي | اقتَرَبَتِ السّاعَةُ وَانشَقَّ القَمَرُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Iqtarabati alssaAAatu wainshaqqa alqamaru |

| English (Pickthall) | The hour drew nigh and the moon was rent in twain. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The Hour (of Judgment) is nigh, and the moon is cleft asunder. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two]. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The coming of the Hour is close and the moon split in the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him), the splitting of which was one of the tangible miracles of the Prophet (peace be upon him). |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | क़यामत क़रीब आ गयी और चाँद दो टुकड़े हो गया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क़ियामत का आगमन निकट आ गया और चाँद नबी सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम के ज़माने में फट गया। चाँद का फटना नबी सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम की हिस्सी निशानियों (चमत्कारों) में से था (जिनका बोध ज्ञानेंद्रियों से किया जा सकता है)। |

| عَرَبِي | وَإِن يَرَوا آيَةً يُعرِضوا وَيَقولوا سِحرٌ مُستَمِرٌّ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wain yaraw ayatan yuAAridoo wayaqooloo sihrun mustamirrun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa iny yaraw aayatany yu'ridoo wa yaqooloo sihrum mustamirr |
| English (Pickthall) | And if they behold a portent they turn away and say: Prolonged illusion. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But if they see a Sign, they turn away, and say, "This is (but) transient magic." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And if they see a miracle, they turn away and say, "Passing magic." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | When the idolaters see any sign or proof of the truthfulness of the Prophet (peace be upon him) they turn away from accepting it and say: The evidence and proof we have seen are false sorcery. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | किन्तु हाल यह है कि यदि वे कोई निशानी देख भी लें तो टाल जाएँगे और कहेंगे, "यह तो जादू है, पहले से चला आ रहा है!" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और अगर ये कुफ्फ़ार कोई मौजिज़ा देखते हैं, तो मुँह फेर लेते हैं, और कहते हैं कि ये तो बड़ा ज़बरदस्त जादू है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और यदि मुश्रिक लोग नबी सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम की सत्यता का कोई प्रमाण और संकेत देखते हैं, तो उसे स्वीकार करने से मुँह फेर लेते हैं और कहते हैं : हमने जो प्रमाण और तर्क देखे हैं, वह सब झूठा जादू है। |
| Ayah 3 |
| عَرَبِي | وَكَذَّبوا وَاتَّبَعوا أَهواءَهُم ۚ وَكُلُّ أَمرٍ مُستَقِرٌّ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wakaththaboo waittabaAAoo ahwaahum wakullu amrin mustaqirrun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa kazzaboo wattaba'ooo ahwaaa'ahum; wa kullu amrim mustaqirr |
| English (Pickthall) | They denied (the Truth) and followed their own lusts. Yet everything will come to a decision |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They reject (the warning) and follow their (own) lusts but every matter has its appointed time. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And they denied and followed their inclinations. But for every matter is a [time of] settlement. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They denied the truth that came to them and followed their desires in this denial. Any matter, whether good or bad, will occur to the one who deserves it on the Day of Judgement. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उन्होंने झुठलाया और अपनी इच्छाओं का अनुसरण किया; किन्तु हर मामले के लिए एक नियत अवधि है। |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और उन लोगों ने झुठलाया और अपनी नफ़सियानी ख्वाहिशों की पैरवी की, और हर काम का वक्त मुक़र्रर है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और उन्होंने मुहम्मद सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम के लाए हुए सत्य को झुठला दिया और इस झुठलाने में उन्होंने अपनी इच्छाओं का पालन किया। और हर चीज़ (चाहे अच्छी हो या बुरी) क़ियामत के दिन उसके हक़दार को मिलकर रहेगी। |
| Ayah 4 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَقَد جاءَهُم مِنَ الأَنباءِ ما فيهِ مُزدَجَرٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaqad jaahum mina alanbai ma feehi muzdajarun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laqad jaaa'ahum minal ambaaa'i maa feehi muzdajar |
| English (Pickthall) | And surely there hath come unto them news whereof the purport should deter, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | There have already come to them Recitals wherein there is (enough) to check (them), |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And there has already come to them of information that in which there is deterrence - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | There has come to them reports of the nations that Allah destroyed because of their disbelief and wrongdoing that were sufficient to deter them from their disbelief and wrongdoing. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उनके पास अतीत को ऐसी खबरें आ चुकी है, जिनमें ताड़ना अर्थात पूर्णतः तत्वदर्शीता है। |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और उनके पास तो वह हालात पहुँच चुके हैं जिनमें काफी तम्बीह थीं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और उनके पास उन समुदायों की, जिन्हें अल्लाह ने उनके कुफ़्र एवं अत्याचार के कारण नष्ट कर दिया, ऐसी सूचनाएँ आ चुकी हैं, जो उन्हें कुफ़्र एवं अत्याचार से दूर रखने के लिए काफ़ी हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | حِكمَةٌ بالِغَةٌ ۖ فَما تُغنِ النُّذُرُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Hikmatun balighatun fama tughnee alnnuthuru |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Hikmatum baalighatun famaa tughnin nuzur |
| English (Pickthall) | Effective wisdom; but warnings avail not. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Mature wisdom;- but (the preaching of) Warners profits them not. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Extensive wisdom - but warning does not avail [them]. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | What has come to them is complete wisdom to establish the evidence against them. The warnings do not benefit a people who do not have faith in Allah and nor in the last day. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | किन्तु चेतावनियाँ उनके कुछ काम नहीं आ रही है! - |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और इन्तेहा दर्जे की दानाई मगर (उनको तो) डराना कुछ फ़ायदा नहीं देता |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उनके पास जो कुछ आया, वह पूर्णतया हिकमत है, ताकि उनके खिलाफ तर्क स्थापित हो जाए। परंतु चेतावनियाँ उन लोगों को लाभ नहीं पहुँचातीं, जो अल्लाह और आख़िरत के दिन पर ईमान नहीं रखते हैं। |
| Ayah 6 |
| عَرَبِي | فَتَوَلَّ عَنهُم ۘ يَومَ يَدعُ الدّاعِ إِلىٰ شَيءٍ نُكُرٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fatawalla AAanhum yawma yadAAu alddaAAi ila shayin nukurin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fatawalla 'anhum; yawma yad'ud daa'i ilaa shai 'in nukur |
| English (Pickthall) | So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) on the day when the Summoner summoneth unto a painful thing. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Therefore, (O Prophet,) turn away from them. The Day that the Caller will call (them) to a terrible affair, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So leave them, [O Muhammad]. The Day the Caller calls to something forbidding, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Since they do not follow the right path, leave them, O Messenger, and turn away from them waiting for the day when the angel appointed to blow the trumpet will call towards a horrific matter, the like of which was not known by created beings previously. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अतः उनसे रुख़ फेर लो - जिस दिन पुकारनेवाला एक अत्यन्त अप्रिय चीज़ की ओर पुकारेगा; |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो (ऐ रसूल) तुम भी उनसे किनाराकश रहो, जिस दिन एक बुलाने वाला (इसराफ़ील) एक अजनबी और नागवार चीज़ की तरफ़ बुलाएगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जब उन्होंने मार्गदर्शन स्वीकार नहीं किया, तो (ऐ रसूल!) आप उन्हें छोड़ दें और उनसे मुँह फेर लें, उस दिन की प्रतीक्षा करते हुए, जिस दिन सूर फूँकने के कार्य पर नियुक्त फ़रिश्ता एक ऐसी भयानक वस्तु की ओर बुलाएगा, जिस तरह की वस्तु के बारे में प्राणी पहले नहीं जानते थे। |

| عَرَبِي | خُشَّعًا أَبصارُهُم يَخرُجونَ مِنَ الأَجداثِ كَأَنَّهُم جَرادٌ مُنتَشِرٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | KhushshaAAan absaruhum yakhrujoona mina alajdathi kaannahum jaradun muntashirun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | khushsha'an absaaruhum yakrujoona minal ajdaasi ka annahum jaraadum muntashir |
| English (Pickthall) | With downcast eyes, they come forth from the graves as they were locusts spread abroad, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They will come forth,- their eyes humbled - from (their) graves, (torpid) like locusts scattered abroad, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Their eyes humbled, they will emerge from the graves as if they were locusts spreading, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Their gazes will be lowered. They will come out of their graves as if, in their rush towards the place of reckoning, they are scattered locusts. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वे अपनी झुकी हुई निगाहों के साथ अपनी क्रबों से निकल रहे होंगे, मानो वे बिखरी हुई टिड्डियाँ है; |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो (निदामत से) ऑंखें नीचे किए हुए कब्रों से निकल पड़ेंगे गोया वह फैली हुई टिड्डियाँ हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उनकी निगाहें झुकी होंगी। वे क़ब्रों से निकलकर हिसाब के स्थान की ओर ऐसे भाग रहे होंगे, जैसे बिखरी हुई टिड्डियाँ हों। |
| Ayah 8 |
| عَرَبِي | مُهطِعينَ إِلَى الدّاعِ ۖ يَقولُ الكافِرونَ هٰذا يَومٌ عَسِرٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | MuhtiAAeena ila alddaAAi yaqoolu alkafiroona hatha yawmun AAasirun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Muhti'eena ilad daa'i yaqoolul kafiroona haazaa yawmun 'asir |
| English (Pickthall) | Hastening toward the summoner; the disbelievers say: This is a hard day. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Hastening, with eyes transfixed, towards the Caller!- "Hard is this Day!", the Unbelievers will say. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Racing ahead toward the Caller. The disbelievers will say, "This is a difficult Day." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Rushing to the caller of that place. The disbelievers will say: This day is a hard one, because of the difficulty and horrors therein. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | दौड़ पड़ने को पुकारनेवाले की ओर। इनकार करनेवाले कहेंगे, "यह तो एक कठिन दिन है!" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (और) बुलाने वाले की तरफ गर्दनें बढ़ाए दौड़ते जाते होंगे, कुफ्फ़ार कहेंगे ये तो बड़ा सख्त दिन है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वे हिसाब के स्थान की ओर बुलाने वाले की तरफ़ तेज़ी से भाग रहे होंगे। काफ़िर लोग कहेंगे : यह बहुत कठिन दिन है; उस दिन की गंभीरता और भयावहता के कारण। |
| Ayah 9 |
| عَرَبِي | ۞ كَذَّبَت قَبلَهُم قَومُ نوحٍ فَكَذَّبوا عَبدَنا وَقالوا مَجنونٌ وَازدُجِرَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Kaththabat qablahum qawmu noohin fakaththaboo AAabdana waqaloo majnoonun waizdujira |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Kazzabat qablahum qawmu Noohin fakazzaboo 'abdanaa wa qaaloo majnoo nunw wazdujir |
| English (Pickthall) | The folk of Noah denied before them, yea, they denied Our slave and said: A madman; and he was repulsed. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Before them the People of Noah rejected (their messenger): they rejected Our servant, and said, "Here is one possessed!", and he was driven out. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | The people of Noah denied before them, and they denied Our servant and said, "A madman," and he was repelled. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Prior to these people who rejected your invitation, O Messenger, the people of Noah also denied. They denied My servant, Noah (peace be upon him) when I sent him to them. They said about him: He is insane, and they rebuked him with various forms of swearing, abuse and threats if he did not stop inviting them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उनसे पहले नूह की क़ौम ने भी झुठलाया। उन्होंने हमारे बन्दे को झूठा ठहराया और कहा, "यह तो दीवाना है!" और वह बुरी तरह झिड़का गया |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | इनसे पहले नूह की क़ौम ने भी झुठलाया था, तो उन्होने हमारे (ख़ास) बन्दे (नूह) को झुठलाया, और कहने लगे ये तो दीवाना है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल!) आपके आह्वान को झुठलाने वाले इन लोगों से पहले नूह अलैहिस्सलाम की जाति ने भी झुठलाया। जब हमने अपने बंदे नूह अलैहिस्सलाम को उनकी ओर भेजा, तो उन्होंने उन्हें झुठला दिया और उनके बारे में कहा कि वह पागल हैं। तथा उन्हें बुरा-भला और अपशब्द कहते हुए झिड़क दिया और धमकियाँ दीं अगर वह उन्हें अल्लाह की ओर बुलाने से बाज़ नहीं आए। |
| Ayah 10 |
| عَرَبِي | فَدَعا رَبَّهُ أَنّي مَغلوبٌ فَانتَصِر |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | FadaAAa rabbahu annee maghloobun faintasir |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fada'aa Rabbahooo annee maghloobun fantasir |
| English (Pickthall) | So he cried unto his Lord, saying: I am vanquished, so give help. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Then he called on his Lord: "I am one overcome: do Thou then help (me)!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So he invoked his Lord, "Indeed, I am overpowered, so help." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Noah called unto His Lord saying: My people have overwhelmed me and they did not respond to me. So take retribution from them by a punishment that you send down on them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अन्त में उसने अपने रब को पुकारा कि "मैं दबा हुआ हूँ। अब तू बदला ले।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और उनको झिड़कियाँ भी दी गयीं, तो उन्होंने अपने परवरदिगार से दुआ की कि (बारे इलाहा मैं) इनके मुक़ाबले में कमज़ोर हूँ |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तो नूह अलैहिस्सलाम ने अपने पालनहार से प्रार्थना करते हुए कहा : मेरी जाति के लोग मुझपर हावी हो गए और मेरे आह्वान को स्वीकार नहीं किए। अतः तू उनपर सज़ा उतारकर मेरा बदला ले। |
| Ayah 11 |
| عَرَبِي | فَفَتَحنا أَبوابَ السَّماءِ بِماءٍ مُنهَمِرٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fafatahna abwaba alssamai bimain munhamirin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fafatahnaaa abwaabas sa maaa'i bimaa'im munhamir |
| English (Pickthall) | Then opened We the gates of heaven with pouring water |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | So We opened the gates of heaven, with water pouring forth. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Then We opened the gates of the heaven with rain pouring down |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So I opened the doors of the sky to continuous torrential water. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | तब हमने मूसलाधार बरसते हुए पानी से आकाश के द्वार खोल दिए; |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो अब तू ही (इनसे) बदला ले तो हमने मूसलाधार पानी से आसमान के दरवाज़े खोल दिए |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तो हमने निरंतर बरसने वाले पानी (मूसलाधार बारिश) के साथ आकाश के द्वार खोल दिए। |
| Ayah 12 |
| عَرَبِي | وَفَجَّرنَا الأَرضَ عُيونًا فَالتَقَى الماءُ عَلىٰ أَمرٍ قَد قُدِرَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wafajjarna alarda AAuyoonan failtaqa almao AAala amrin qad qudira |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa fajjamal arda 'uyoonan faltaqal maaa'u 'alaaa amrin qad qudir |
| English (Pickthall) | And caused the earth to gush forth springs, so that the waters met for a predestined purpose. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And We caused the earth to gush forth with springs, so the waters met (and rose) to the extent decreed. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And caused the earth to burst with springs, and the waters met for a matter already predestined. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I burst open the ground and it became springs from which water gushed. The water coming down from the sky met with the water gushing from the ground for a matter that Allah had determined in eternity. Everyone was drowned besides those whom Allah saved. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और धरती को प्रवाहित स्रोतों में परिवर्तित कर दिया, और सारा पानी उस काम के लिए मिल गया जो नियत हो चुका था |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और ज़मीन से चश्में जारी कर दिए, तो एक काम के लिए जो मुक़र्रर हो चुका था (दोनों) पानी मिलकर एक हो गया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा हमने धरती को फाड़ दिया, तो वह ऐसे सोते बन गई, जिनसे पानी निकल रहा था। चुनाँचे आकाश से उतरने वाला पानी धरती से निकलने वाले पानी के साथ, अल्लाह के अनादिकाल में नियत किए हुए कार्य के लिए मिल गया, और सब को डुबो दिया, सिवाय उन लोगों के जिन्हें अल्लाह ने बचा लिया। |
| Ayah 13 |
| عَرَبِي | وَحَمَلناهُ عَلىٰ ذاتِ أَلواحٍ وَدُسُرٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wahamalnahu AAala thati alwahin wadusurin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa hamalnaahu 'alaa zaati alwaahinw wa dusur |
| English (Pickthall) | And We carried him upon a thing of planks and nails, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But We bore him on an (Ark) made of broad planks and caulked with palm-fibre: |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We carried him on a [construction of] planks and nails, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I carried Noah on a vessel that had planks and nails and I saved him and those with him from drowning. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और हमने उसे एक तख़्तों और कीलोंवाली (नौका) पर सवार किया, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और हमने एक कश्ती पर जो तख्तों और कीलों से तैयार की गयी थी सवार किया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और हमने नूह (अलैहिस्सलाम) को तख़्तों और कीलों वाली नाव पर सवार कर दिया और उन्हें तथा उनके साथियों को डूबने से बचा लिया। |
| Ayah 14 |
| عَرَبِي | تَجري بِأَعيُنِنا جَزاءً لِمَن كانَ كُفِرَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Tajree biaAAyunina jazaan liman kana kufira |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Tajree bi a'yuninaa jazaaa 'al liman kaana kufir |
| English (Pickthall) | That ran (upon the waters) in Our sight, as a reward for him who was rejected. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | She floats under our eyes (and care): a recompense to one who had been rejected (with scorn)! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Sailing under Our observation as reward for he who had been denied. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | This vessel was sailing on the clashing waves of water under My gaze and protection, as a victory for Noah whose people denied him and rejected what he brought from Allah. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जो हमारी निगाहों के सामने चल रही थी - यह बदला था उस व्यक्ति के लिए जिसकी क़द्र नहीं की गई। |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और वह हमारी निगरानी में चल रही थी (ये) उस शख़्श (नूह) का बदला लेने के लिए जिसको लोग न मानते थे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | यह नाव हमारी दृष्टि और संरक्षण में पानी की परस्पर थपेड़े मारने वाली लहरों के बीच चल रही थी। यह नूह का बदला लेने के तौर पर था, जिन्हें उनकी जाति के लोगों ने झुठला दिया था और वह अल्लाह की ओर से उनके पास जो कुछ लाए थे, उसका इनकार कर दिया था। |
| Ayah 15 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَقَد تَرَكناها آيَةً فَهَل مِن مُدَّكِرٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaqad taraknaha ayatan fahal min muddakirin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laqat taraknaahaad aayatan fahal mim muddakir |
| English (Pickthall) | And verily We left it as a token; but is there any that remembereth? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And We have left this as a Sign (for all time): then is there any that will receive admonition? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We left it as a sign, so is there any who will remember? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I have left this punishment that I meted out to them as a lesson and admonition. Is there anyone to take a lesson from that? |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | हमने उसे एक निशानी बनाकर छोड़ दिया; फिर क्या कोई नसीहत हासिल करनेवाला? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और हमने उसको एक इबरत बना कर छोड़ा तो कोई है जो इबरत हासिल करे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और हमने इस सज़ा को, जिसके साथ हमने उन्हें दंडित किया था, एक सीख और उपदेश बनाकर छोड़ा। तो क्या है कोई उपदेश ग्रहण करने वाला, जो इससे उपदेश ग्रहण करे?! |
| Ayah 16 |
| عَرَبِي | فَكَيفَ كانَ عَذابي وَنُذُرِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fakayfa kana AAathabee wanuthuri |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fakaifa kaana 'azaabee wa nuzur |
| English (Pickthall) | Then see how (dreadful) was My punishment after My warnings! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But how (terrible) was My Penalty and My Warning? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And how [severe] were My punishment and warning. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | How was my punishment to those who denied? How was my warning that I will destroy them? |

| English (Pickthall) | For they said; Is it a mortal man, alone among us, that we are to follow? Then indeed we should fall into error and madness. |

| عَرَبِي | أَأُلقِيَ الذِّكرُ عَلَيهِ مِن بَينِنا بَل هُوَ كَذّابٌ أَشِرٌ |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | 'A-ulqiyaz zikru 'alaihi mim baininaa bal huwa kazzaabun ashir |
| English (Pickthall) | Hath the remembrance been given unto him alone among us? Nay, but he is a rash liar. |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innaa mursilun naaqati fitnatal lahum fartaqibhum wastabir |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! We are sending the she-camel as a test for them; so watch them and have patience; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | For We will send the she-camel by way of trial for them. So watch them, (O Salih), and possess thyself in patience! |

| عَرَبِي | وَنَبِّئهُم أَنَّ الماءَ قِسمَةٌ بَينَهُم ۖ كُلُّ شِربٍ مُحتَضَرٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wanabbihum anna almaa qismatun baynahum kullu shirbin muhtadarun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa nabbi'hum annal maaa'a qismatum bainahum kullu shirbim muhtadar |
| English (Pickthall) | And inform them that the water is to be shared between (her and) them. Every drinking will be witnessed. |

| English (Pickthall) | Lo! We sent upon them one Shout, and they became as the dry twigs (rejected by) the builder of a cattle-fold. |

| Ayah 34 |
| عَرَبِي | إِنّا أَرسَلنا عَلَيهِم حاصِبًا إِلّا آلَ لوطٍ ۖ نَجَّيناهُم بِسَحَرٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna arsalna AAalayhim hasiban illa ala lootin najjaynahum bisaharin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innaa arsalnaa 'alaihim haasiban illaaa aala Loot najjainaahum bisahar |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! We sent a storm of stones upon them (all) save the family of Lot, whom We rescued in the last watch of the night, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | We sent against them a violent Tornado with showers of stones, (which destroyed them), except Lut's household: them We delivered by early Dawn,- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, We sent upon them a storm of stones, except the family of Lot - We saved them before dawn |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I sent on them a wind that threw stones on them except the family of Lot (peace be upon him). The punishment did not afflict them, as I had rescued them from it as he had travelled away with them before the punishment came down in the last part of the night. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हमने उनपर एक ऐसी हवा भेजी, जो उनपर पत्थर बरसा रही थी, सिवाय लूत अलैहिस्सलाम के घर वालों के, उन्हें अज़ाब ने नहीं छुआ। हमने उन्हें बचा लिया; क्योंकि लूत अलैहिस्सलाम रात के अंत में यातना आने से पहले ही उन्हें लेकर चले गए। |

| عَرَبِي | نِعمَةً مِن عِندِنا ۚ كَذٰلِكَ نَجزي مَن شَكَرَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | NiAAmatan min AAindina kathalika najzee man shakara |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ni'matam min 'indinaa; kazaalika najzee man shakar |
| English (Pickthall) | As grace from Us. Thus We reward him who giveth thanks. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | As a Grace from Us: thus do We reward those who give thanks. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | As favor from us. Thus do We reward he who is grateful. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I rescued them from the punishment as My favour upon them. I give a recompense similar to the one I gave to Lot to those who are thankful to Allah for His favours. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | हमने अपनी विशेष अनुकम्पा से प्रातःकाल उन्हें बचा लिया। हम इसी तरह उस व्यक्ति को बदला देते है जो कृतज्ञता दिखाए |

| عَرَبِي | وَلَقَد أَنذَرَهُم بَطشَتَنا فَتَمارَوا بِالنُّذُرِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaqad antharahum batshatana fatamaraw bialnnuthuri |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laqad anzarahum batshatanaa fatamaaraw binnuzur |
| English (Pickthall) | And he indeed had warned them of Our blow, but they did doubt the warnings. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And (Lut) did warn them of Our Punishment, but they disputed about the Warning. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And he had already warned them of Our assault, but they disputed the warning. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Lot warned them of My punishment but they disputed with one another about his warning and they rejected it. |

| عَرَبِي | وَلَقَد راوَدوهُ عَن ضَيفِهِ فَطَمَسنا أَعيُنَهُم فَذوقوا عَذابي وَنُذُرِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaqad rawadoohu AAan dayfihi fatamasna aAAyunahum fathooqoo AAathabee wanuthuri |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laqad raawadoohu 'andaifee fatamasnaaa a'yunahum fazooqoo 'azaabee wa nuzur |
| English (Pickthall) | They even asked of him his guests for an ill purpose. Then We blinded their eyes (and said): Taste now My punishment after My warnings! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And they even sought to snatch away his guests from him, but We blinded their eyes. (They heard:) "Now taste ye My Wrath and My Warning." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And they had demanded from him his guests, but We obliterated their eyes, [saying], "Taste My punishment and warning." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Lot’s people tried to tempt him to give them access to the angels who were his guests with the intention of doing an indecent act. I obliterated their eyes so they did not see them and I said to them: Taste my punishment and the result of My warning to you. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | लूत अलैहिस्सलाम को उनकी जाति के लोगों ने बहकाना चाहा कि वह उन्हें और अपने मेहमान फ़रिश्तों को अनैतिक काम करने के मक़सद से अलग कर दें। तो हमने उनकी आँखों को मिटा दिया, सो उन्होंने उन्हें नहीं देखा। और हमने उनसे कहा : मेरी यातना का स्वाद तथा मेरे डराने का परिणाम चखो। |

| عَرَبِي | وَلَقَد صَبَّحَهُم بُكرَةً عَذابٌ مُستَقِرٌّ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaqad sabbahahum bukratan AAathabun mustaqirrun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laqad sabbahahum bukratan 'azaabum mustaqirr |
| English (Pickthall) | And in truth the punishment decreed befell them early in the morning. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Early on the morrow an abiding Punishment seized them: |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laqad yassarnal Quraana liz zikri fahal mim muddakir |
| English (Pickthall) | And in truth We have made the Qur'an easy to remember; but is there any that remembereth? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember? |

| عَرَبِي | وَلَقَد جاءَ آلَ فِرعَونَ النُّذُرُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaqad jaa ala firAAawna alnnuthuru |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laqad jaaa'a Aala Fir'awnan nuzur |
| English (Pickthall) | And warnings came in truth unto the house of Pharaoh |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | To the People of Pharaoh, too, aforetime, came Warners (from Allah). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warning. |

| عَرَبِي | كَذَّبوا بِآياتِنا كُلِّها فَأَخَذناهُم أَخذَ عَزيزٍ مُقتَدِرٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Kaththaboo biayatina kulliha faakhathnahum akhtha AAazeezin muqtadirin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa kullihaa fa akhaznaahum akhza 'azeezim muqtadir |
| English (Pickthall) | Who denied Our revelations, every one. Therefore We grasped them with the grasp of the Mighty, the Powerful. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The (people) rejected all Our Signs; but We seized them with such Penalty (as comes) from One Exalted in Power, able to carry out His Will. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They denied the proof and evidence that came to them from Me, so I punished them for their denial thereof with the punishment of a Mighty One whom none can overpower, a Powerful One who is not unable to do anything. |

| عَرَبِي | أَكُفّارُكُم خَيرٌ مِن أُولٰئِكُم أَم لَكُم بَراءَةٌ فِي الزُّبُرِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Akuffarukum khayrun min olaikum am lakum baraatun fee alzzuburi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Akuffaarukum khairum min ulaaa'ikum am lakum baraaa'atun fiz Zubur |
| English (Pickthall) | Are your disbelievers better than those, or have ye some immunity in the scriptures? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Are your disbelievers better than those [former ones], or have you immunity in the scripture? |

| عَرَبِي | أَم يَقولونَ نَحنُ جَميعٌ مُنتَصِرٌ |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Am yaqooloona nahnu jamee'um muntasir |
| English (Pickthall) | Or say they: We are a host victorious? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Or do they say: "We acting together can defend ourselves"? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Or do they say, "We are an assembly supporting [each other]"? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Or do these disbelievers from the people of Makkah say: We are all together and well-defended against those who have evil designs against us and who wish to break up our unity? |

| عَرَبِي | سَيُهزَمُ الجَمعُ وَيُوَلّونَ الدُّبُرَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Sayuhzamu aljamAAu wayuwalloona alddubura |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Sa yuhzamul jam'u wa yuwalloonad dubur |
| English (Pickthall) | The hosts will all be routed and will turn and flee. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Soon will their multitude be put to flight, and they will show their backs. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat]. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The group of these disbelievers will be defeated and they will turn their backs before the believers. This occurred on the day of Badr. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | शीघ्र ही वह जत्था पराजित होकर रहेगा और वे पीठ दिखा जाएँगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | अनक़रीब ही ये जमाअत शिकस्त खाएगी और ये लोग पीठ फेर कर भाग जाएँगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | शीघ्र ही इन काफ़िरों का जत्था पराजित कर दिया जाएगा और ये लोग ईमान वालों के सामने पीठ फेरकर भाग जाएँगे। ज्ञात होना चाहिए कि बद्र के युद्ध के दिन यह घटित हो चुका है। |

| عَرَبِي | بَلِ السّاعَةُ مَوعِدُهُم وَالسّاعَةُ أَدهىٰ وَأَمَرُّ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Bali alssaAAatu mawAAiduhum waalssaAAatu adha waamarru |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Balis Saa'atu maw'iduhum was Saa'atu adhaa wa amarr |
| English (Pickthall) | Nay, but the Hour (of doom) is their appointed tryst, and the Hour will be more wretched and more bitter (than their earthly failure). |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Nay, the Hour (of Judgment) is the time promised them (for their full recompense): And that Hour will be most grievous and most bitter. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | In fact, the Hour that they deny is the appointed time when they will be punished. The Hour is more severe and bitter than the punishment of the world that they received on the day of Badr. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | बल्कि क़ियामत, जिसे ये लोग झुठलाते हैं, इनके वादे का समय है, जिसमें इन्हें यातना दी जाएगी। और क़ियामत दुनिया की उस यातना से कहीं अधिक भयानक और कठोर है, जिसका सामना उन्होंने बद्र के दिन किया है। |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ المُجرِمينَ في ضَلالٍ وَسُعُرٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna almujrimeena fee dalalin wasuAAurin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innal mujrimeena fee dalaalinw wa su'ur |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! the guilty are in error and madness. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Truly those in sin are the ones straying in mind, and mad. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who are guilty of disbelief and sins are astray from the truth and in punishment and difficulty. |

| عَرَبِي | يَومَ يُسحَبونَ فِي النّارِ عَلىٰ وُجوهِهِم ذوقوا مَسَّ سَقَرَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yawma yushaboona fee alnnari AAala wujoohihim thooqoo massa saqara |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yawma yushaboona fin Naari'alaa wujoohimim zooqoo massa saqar |
| English (Pickthall) | On the day when they are dragged into the Fire upon their faces (it is said unto them): Feel the touch of hell. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], "Taste the touch of Saqar." |

| عَرَبِي | إِنّا كُلَّ شَيءٍ خَلَقناهُ بِقَدَرٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna kulla shayin khalaqnahu biqadarin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innaa kulla shai'in khalaqnaahu biqadar |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! We have created every thing by measure. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Verily, all things have We created in proportion and measure. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, all things We created with predestination. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I have created everything in existence with a prior determination from Me, in accordance with My knowledge and what I had written in the Preserved Tablet. |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wama amruna illa wahidatun kalamhin bialbasari |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa maaa amrunaaa illaa waahidatun kalamhim bilbasar |
| English (Pickthall) | And Our commandment is but one (commandment), as the twinkling of an eye. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जब हम किसी चीज़ का इरादा करते हैं, तो हमारा आदेश केवल एक शब्द कहना होता है, कि : "हो जा", तो जो हम चाहते हैं वह पलक झपकते ही तेज़ी से हो जाती है। |
| Ayah 51 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَقَد أَهلَكنا أَشياعَكُم فَهَل مِن مُدَّكِرٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaqad ahlakna ashyaAAakum fahal min muddakirin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laqad ahlaknaaa ashyaa'akum fahal mim muddakir |
| English (Pickthall) | And verily We have destroyed your fellows; but is there any that remembereth? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And (oft) in the past, have We destroyed gangs like unto you: then is there any that will receive admonition? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I had destroyed the likes of you in disbelief from the previous nations. Is there anyone who will take a lesson from this and desist from his disbelief? |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और हम तुम्हारे जैसे लोगों को विनष्ट कर चुके है। फिर क्या है कोई नसीहत हासिल करनेवाला? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और हम तुम्हारे हम मशरबो को हलाक कर चुके हैं तो कोई है जो नसीहत हासिल करे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निश्चय हमने पिछले समुदायों में से तुम्हारे जैसे (बहुत-से) कुफ़्र करने वालों को विनष्ट कर दिया, तो क्या है कोई नसीहत हासिल करने वाला, जो इससे नसीहत लेते हुए अपने कुफ़्र से बाज़ आ जाए?! |

| عَرَبِي | وَكُلُّ شَيءٍ فَعَلوهُ فِي الزُّبُرِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wakullu shayin faAAaloohu fee alzzuburi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa kullu shai'in fa'aloohu fiz Zubur |
| English (Pickthall) | And every thing they did is in the scriptures, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | All that they do is noted in (their) Books (of Deeds): |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And everything they did is in written records. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Everything the servants do is written in the books of the guardian angels, whom nothing escapes. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जो कुछ उन्होंने किया है, वह पन्नों में अंकित है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और अगर चे ये लोग जो कुछ कर चुके हैं (इनके) आमाल नामों में (दर्ज) है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और जो कुछ बंदों ने किया, वह बंदों के कार्य लिखने पर नियुक्त फ़रिश्तों की पुस्तकों में लिखा है, उनसे उसमें से कुछ भी नहीं छूटता। |

| عَرَبِي | وَكُلُّ صَغيرٍ وَكَبيرٍ مُستَطَرٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wakullu sagheerin wakabeerin mustatarun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa kullu sagheerinw wa kabeerim mustatar |
| English (Pickthall) | And every small and great thing is recorded. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Every matter, small and great, is on record. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And every small and great [thing] is inscribed. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Every small and big action or statement is written in the books of deeds and in the Preserved Tablet, and they will be recompensed for it. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (यानि) हर छोटा और बड़ा काम लिख दिया गया है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हर छोटा और बड़ा कार्य एवं कथन कर्मपत्रों और 'लौहे महफूज़' में लिखा है। और लोगों को उसका बदला दिया जाएगा। |
| Ayah 54 |
| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ المُتَّقينَ في جَنّاتٍ وَنَهَرٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna almuttaqeena fee jannatin wanaharin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innal muttaqeena fee jannaatinw wa nahar |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! the righteous will dwell among gardens and rivers, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who are mindful of their Lord through fulfilling His instructions and refraining from His prohibitions will enjoy in gardens and in flowing streams. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | निश्चय ही डर रखनेवाले बाग़ो और नहरों के बीच होंगे, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | बेशक परहेज़गार लोग (बेहिश्त के) बाग़ों और नहरों में |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निश्चय अल्लाह के आदेशों का पालन करके और उसके निषेधों से बचकर अपने पालनहार से डरने वाले लोग, बागों में आनंद ले रहे होंगे और बहती नहरों में होंगे। |

| عَرَبِي | في مَقعَدِ صِدقٍ عِندَ مَليكٍ مُقتَدِرٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fee maqAAadi sidqin AAinda maleekin muqtadirin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fee maq'adi sidqin 'inda Maleekim Muqtadir |
| English (Pickthall) | Firmly established in the favour of a Mighty King. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | In an Assembly of Truth, in the Presence of a Sovereign Omnipotent. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | In an assembly of truth, in which there will be no futility or sin, by a Sovereign Who owns everything, a Powerful One Who is not unable to do anything. So do not ask about the perpetual bliss they will receive. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | सत्य की मजलिस में होंगे, जिसमें न व्यर्थ बात होगी, न पाप। ऐसे बादशाह के पास, जो हर चीज़ का मालिक है। शक्तिशाली है, कोई भी चीज़ करने में असमर्थ नहीं है।अतः उन्हें उसकी ओर से प्राप्त होने वाली स्थायी नेमतों के बारे में मत पूछो। |
