| عَرَبِي | يا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ لِمَ تُحَرِّمُ ما أَحَلَّ اللَّهُ لَكَ ۖ تَبتَغي مَرضاتَ أَزواجِكَ ۚ وَاللَّهُ غَفورٌ رَحيمٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyu lima tuharrimu ma ahalla Allahu laka tabtaghee mardata azwajika waAllahu ghafoorun raheemun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yaaa ayyuhan nabiyyu lima tuharrimu maaa ahallal laahu laka tabtaghee mardaata azwaajik; wallaahu ghafoorur raheem |
| English (Pickthall) | O Prophet! Why bannest thou that which Allah hath made lawful for thee, seeking to please thy wives? And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | O Prophet! Why holdest thou to be forbidden that which Allah has made lawful to thee? Thou seekest to please thy consorts. But Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | O Prophet, why do you prohibit [yourself from] what Allah has made lawful for you, seeking the approval of your wives? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! Why do you make impermissible that which Allah has made permissible for you, i.e. making use of your servant girl Mariah, wanting to please your wives in doing so after they expressed protective jealousy over her? Allah is Forgiving towards you and is Merciful to you. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | ऐ नबी! जिस चीज़ को अल्लाह ने तुम्हारे लिए वैध ठहराया है उसे तुम अपनी पत्नियों की प्रसन्नता प्राप्त करने के लिए क्यो अवैध करते हो? अल्लाह बड़ा क्षमाशील, अत्यन्त दयावान है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ऐ रसूल जो चीज़ ख़ुदा ने तुम्हारे लिए हलाल की है तुम उससे अपनी बीवियों की ख़ुशनूदी के लिए क्यों किनारा कशी करो और ख़ुदा तो बड़ा बख्शने वाला मेहरबान है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ऐ रसूल! आप अपनी दासी मारिया से सहवास को क्यों हराम ठहराते हैं, जिसे अल्लाह ने आपके लिए हलाल किया है, आप इससे अपनी पत्नियों को खुश करना चाहते हैं, क्योंकि वे आपके मारिया के पास जाने को अप्रिय समझती हैं?! अल्लाह आपको माफ़ करने वाला, आप पर दया करने वाला है। |
| Ayah 2 |
| عَرَبِي | قَد فَرَضَ اللَّهُ لَكُم تَحِلَّةَ أَيمانِكُم ۚ وَاللَّهُ مَولاكُم ۖ وَهُوَ العَليمُ الحَكيمُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qad farada Allahu lakum tahillata aymanikum waAllahu mawlakum wahuwa alAAaleemu alhakeemu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qad faradal laahu lakum tahillata aymaanikum; wallaahu mawlaakum wa huwal'aleemul hakeem |
| English (Pickthall) | Allah hath made lawful for you (Muslims) absolution from your oaths (of such a kind), and Allah is your Protector. He is the Knower, the Wise. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Allah has already ordained for you, (O men), the dissolution of your oaths (in some cases): and Allah is your Protector, and He is Full of Knowledge and Wisdom. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Allah has already ordained for you [Muslims] the dissolution of your oaths. And Allah is your protector, and He is the Knowing, the Wise. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Verily, Allah has legislated for you to break your oaths by giving expiation if you find something better than the oaths your took or if you go against them. Allah is your helper and He is The Knower of your circumstances and what is best for you; He is The Wise in His legislation and decree. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अल्लाह ने तुम लोगों के लिए तुम्हारी अपनी क़समों की पाबंदी से निकलने का उपाय निश्चित कर दिया है। अल्लाह तुम्हारा संरक्षक है और वही सर्वज्ञ, अत्यन्त तत्वदर्शी है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ख़ुदा ने तुम लोगों के लिए क़समों को तोड़ डालने का कफ्फ़ार मुक़र्रर कर दिया है और ख़ुदा ही तुम्हारा कारसाज़ है और वही वाक़िफ़कार हिकमत वाला है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अल्लाह ने तुम्हारे लिए कफ़्फ़ारा के द्वारा अपनी क़समों को हलाल करना धर्म संगत बना दिया है, यदि तुम कोई चीज़ उनसे बेहतर पाओ या उस क़सम को तोड़ दो। अल्लाह तुम्हारा सहायक है। तथा वह तुम्हारी स्थितियों एवं हितों के बारे में सबसे अच्छा जानता है, अपनी शरीयत और तक़दीर (निर्णय) में हिकमत वाला है। |
| Ayah 3 |
| عَرَبِي | وَإِذ أَسَرَّ النَّبِيُّ إِلىٰ بَعضِ أَزواجِهِ حَديثًا فَلَمّا نَبَّأَت بِهِ وَأَظهَرَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَيهِ عَرَّفَ بَعضَهُ وَأَعرَضَ عَن بَعضٍ ۖ فَلَمّا نَبَّأَها بِهِ قالَت مَن أَنبَأَكَ هٰذا ۖ قالَ نَبَّأَنِيَ العَليمُ الخَبيرُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waith asarra alnnabiyyu ila baAAdi azwajihi hadeethan falamma nabbaat bihi waathharahu Allahu AAalayhi AAarrafa baAAdahu waaAArada AAan baAAdin falamma nabbaaha bihi qalat man anbaaka hatha qala nabbaaniya alAAaleemu alkhabeeru |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa iz asarran nabiyyu ilaa ba'di azwaajihee hadeesan falammaa nabba at bihee wa azharahul laahu 'alaihi 'arrafa ba'dahoo wa a'rada 'am ba'din falammaa nabba ahaa bihee qaalat man amba aka haaza qaala nabba aniyal 'aleemul khabeer |
| English (Pickthall) | When the Prophet confided a fact unto one of his wives and when she afterward divulged it and Allah apprised him thereof, he made known (to her) part thereof and passed over part. And when he told it her she said: Who hath told thee? He said: The Knower, the Aware hath told me. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | When the Prophet disclosed a matter in confidence to one of his consorts, and she then divulged it (to another), and Allah made it known to him, he confirmed part thereof and repudiated a part. Then when he told her thereof, she said, "Who told thee this? "He said, "He told me Who knows and is well-acquainted (with all things)." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [remember] when the Prophet confided to one of his wives a statement; and when she informed [another] of it and Allah showed it to him, he made known part of it and ignored a part. And when he informed her about it, she said, "Who told you this?" He said, "I was informed by the Knowing, the Acquainted." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And remember when the Prophet (peace be upon him) mentioned something only to Ḥafṣah, and that was that he will never again go close to his wife Mariah. So after Ḥafṣah informed ‘Ā’ishah of the information, and Allah informed His Messenger of his secret having been spread, he reprimanded Ḥafṣah and told her part of what she had said, not mentioning another. So she asked him, “Who informed you of this?” He replied, “The Knower of everything and The Aware of every hidden thing informed me of it.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जब नबी ने अपनी पत्ऩियों में से किसी से एक गोपनीय बात कही, फिर जब उसने उसकी ख़बर कर दी और अल्लाह ने उसे उसपर ज़ाहिर कर दिया, तो उसने उसे किसी हद तक बता दिया और किसी हद तक टाल गया। फिर जब उसने उसकी उसे ख़बर की तो वह बोली, "आपको इसकी ख़बर किसने दी?" उसने कहा, "मुझे उसने ख़बर दी जो सब कुछ जाननेवाला, ख़बर रखनेवाला है।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जब पैग़म्बर ने अपनी बाज़ बीवी (हफ़सा) से चुपके से कोई बात कही फिर जब उसने (बावजूद मुमानियत) उस बात की (आयशा को) ख़बर दे दी और ख़ुदा ने इस अम्र को रसूल पर ज़ाहिर कर दिया तो रसूल ने (आयशा को) बाज़ बात (किस्सा मारिया) जता दी और बाज़ बात (किस्साए यहद) टाल दी ग़रज़ जब रसूल ने इस वाक़िये (हफ़सा के अफ़शाए राज़) कि उस (आयशा) को ख़बर दी तो हैरत से बोल उठीं आपको इस बात (अफ़शाए राज़) की किसने ख़बर दी रसूल ने कहा मुझे बड़े वाक़िफ़कार ख़बरदार (ख़ुदा) ने बता दिया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा उस समय को याद करें, जब नबी सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम ने अपनी पत्नी हफ़सा रज़ियल्लाहु अन्हा को विशेष रूप से एक बात बताई, जिसमें यह बात शामिल थी कि आप अपनी दासी मारिया के निकट नहीं जाएँगे। फिर जब हफ़सा रज़ियल्लाहु अन्हा ने आयशा रज़ियल्लाहु अन्हा को यह बात बता दी और अल्लाह ने अपने नबी को उनके रहस्य के प्रकट हो जाने के बारे में बता दिया, तो आपने हफ़सा रज़ियल्लाहु अन्हा को डाँटा और उनसे उनकी बताई हुई कुछ बातों का उल्लेख किया और कुछ से खामोशी बरती। तो ह़फ़सा रज़ियल्लाहु अन्हा ने आपसे पूछा : आप को यह बात किसने बताई? तो आपने फरमाया : मुझे उसने बताया है, जो हर चीज़ को जानने वाला और हर गुप्त चीज़ की ख़बर रखने वाला है। |
| Ayah 4 |
| عَرَبِي | إِن تَتوبا إِلَى اللَّهِ فَقَد صَغَت قُلوبُكُما ۖ وَإِن تَظاهَرا عَلَيهِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ مَولاهُ وَجِبريلُ وَصالِحُ المُؤمِنينَ ۖ وَالمَلائِكَةُ بَعدَ ذٰلِكَ ظَهيرٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | In tatooba ila Allahi faqad saghat quloobukuma wain tathahara AAalayhi fainna Allaha huwa mawlahu wajibreelu wasalihu almumineena waalmalaikatu baAAda thalika thaheerun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | In tatoobaaa ilal laahi faqad saghat quloobukumaa wa in tazaaharaa 'alihi fa innal laaha huwa mawlaahu wa jibreelu wa saalihul mu'mineen; walma laaa'ikatu ba'dazaalika zaheer |
| English (Pickthall) | If ye twain turn unto Allah repentant, (ye have cause to do so) for your hearts desired (the ban); and if ye aid one another against him (Muhammad) then lo! Allah, even He, is his Protecting Friend, and Gabriel and the righteous among the believers; and furthermore the angels are his helpers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | If ye two turn in repentance to Him, your hearts are indeed so inclined; But if ye back up each other against him, truly Allah is his Protector, and Gabriel, and (every) righteous one among those who believe,- and furthermore, the angels - will back (him) up. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | If you two [wives] repent to Allah, [it is best], for your hearts have deviated. But if you cooperate against him - then indeed Allah is his protector, and Gabriel and the righteous of the believers and the angels, moreover, are [his] assistants. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | It is your duty that you both repent, because your hearts have inclined towards liking something the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) disliked, i.e. staying away from his servant girl and forbidding her upon himself. And if you insist upon joining forces against him, then know that Allah is his guardian and helper, and so is Gabriel and the best of believers. The angels are also his helpers and supporters after Allah against those who cause inconvenience to him. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | यदि तुम दोनों अल्लाह की ओर रुजू हो तो तुम्हारे दिल तो झुक ही चुके हैं, किन्तु यदि तुम उसके विरुद्ध एक-दूसरे की सहायता करोगी तो अल्लाह उसकी संरक्षक है, और जिबरील और नेक ईमानवाले भी, और इसके बाद फ़रिश्ते भी उसके सहायक है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (तो ऐ हफ़सा व आयशा) अगर तुम दोनों (इस हरकत से) तौबा करो तो ख़ैर क्योंकि तुम दोनों के दिल टेढ़े हैं और अगर तुम दोनों रसूल की मुख़ालेफ़त में एक दूसरे की अयानत करती रहोगी तो कुछ परवा नहीं (क्यों कि) ख़ुदा और जिबरील और तमाम ईमानदारों में नेक शख़्श उनके मददगार हैं और उनके अलावा कुल फरिश्ते मददगार हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तुम दोनों को तौबा करना चाहिए। क्योंकि तुम दोनों के दिल उस चीज़ को पसंद करने की तरफ़ झुक गए हैं, जो अल्लाह के रसूल सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम को नापसंद है यानी अपनी दासी से दूर रहना और उसे अपने ऊपर हराम कर लेना। और अगर तुम दोनों आपके ख़िलाफ भड़काने पर अटल रहोगी, तो खुद अल्लाह आपका संरक्षक और सहायक है। और इसी तरह जिबरील और नेक ईमान वाले आपके संरक्षक और सहायक हैं। तथा अल्लाह की मदद के बाद फ़रिश्ते आपके सहायक तथा आपको कष्ट देने वालों के विरुद्ध आपके मददगार हैं। |
| Ayah 5 |
| عَرَبِي | عَسىٰ رَبُّهُ إِن طَلَّقَكُنَّ أَن يُبدِلَهُ أَزواجًا خَيرًا مِنكُنَّ مُسلِماتٍ مُؤمِناتٍ قانِتاتٍ تائِباتٍ عابِداتٍ سائِحاتٍ ثَيِّباتٍ وَأَبكارًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | AAasa rabbuhu in tallaqakunna an yubdilahu azwajan khayran minkunna muslimatin muminatin qanitatin taibatin AAabidatin saihatin thayyibatin waabkaran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | 'Asaa rabbuhooo in tallaqakunna anyyubdilahooo azwaajan khairam mnkunna muslimaatim mu'minaatin qaanitaatin taaa'ibaatin 'aabidaatin saaa'ihaatin saiyibaatinw wa abkaaraa |
| English (Pickthall) | It may happen that his Lord, if he divorce you, will give him in your stead wives better than you, submissive (to Allah), believing, pious, penitent, devout, inclined to fasting, widows and maids. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | It may be, if he divorced you (all), that Allah will give him in exchange consorts better than you,- who submit (their wills), who believe, who are devout, who turn to Allah in repentance, who worship (in humility), who travel (for Faith) and fast,- previously married or virgins. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Perhaps his Lord, if he divorced you [all], would substitute for him wives better than you - submitting [to Allah], believing, devoutly obedient, repentant, worshipping, and traveling - [ones] previously married and virgins. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | It is very likely that if His Messenger was to divorce both of you, Allah may He be glorified will give him wives better than you, who are submissive to his instructions, believing in Allah and His Messenger, obedient to Allah, repenting of their sins, devoted to their Lord, fasting; previously married and virgins whom no one except the Messenger has touched. However, he did not divorce them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | इसकी बहुत सम्भावना है कि यदि वह तुम्हें तलाक़ दे दे तो उसका रब तुम्हारे बदले में तुमसे अच्छी पत्ऩियाँ उसे प्रदान करे - मुस्लिम, ईमानवाली, आज्ञाकारिणी, तौबा करनेवाली, इबादत करनेवाली, (अल्लाह के मार्ग में) सफ़र करनेवाली, विवाहिता और कुँवारियाँ भी |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | अगर रसूल तुम लोगों को तलाक़ दे दे तो अनक़रीब ही उनका परवरदिगार तुम्हारे बदले उनको तुमसे अच्छी बीवियाँ अता करे जो फ़रमाबरदार ईमानदार ख़ुदा रसूल की मुतीय (गुनाहों से) तौबा करने वालियाँ इबादत गुज़ार रोज़ा रखने वालियाँ ब्याही हुई |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | यदि अल्लाह के नबी सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम तुम्हें तलाक़ दे दें, तो बहुत संभावित है कि उनका पालनहार उन्हें तुमसे बेहतर पत्नियाँ प्रदान कर दे, जो उसके आदेश को मानने वाली हों, उसपर तथा उसके रसूल पर ईमान रखने वाली हों, अल्लाह का आज्ञापालन करने वाली हों, अपने गुनाहों से तौबा करने वाली हों, अपने पालनहार की इबादत करने वाली हों, रोज़ा रखने वाली हों, जिनमें से कुछ पहले से शादीशुदा तथा कुछ कुँवारियाँ हों। लेकिन नबी सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम ने उन्हें तलाक नहीं दी। |
| Ayah 6 |
| عَرَبِي | يا أَيُّهَا الَّذينَ آمَنوا قوا أَنفُسَكُم وَأَهليكُم نارًا وَقودُهَا النّاسُ وَالحِجارَةُ عَلَيها مَلائِكَةٌ غِلاظٌ شِدادٌ لا يَعصونَ اللَّهَ ما أَمَرَهُم وَيَفعَلونَ ما يُؤمَرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo qoo anfusakum waahleekum naran waqooduha alnnasu waalhijaratu AAalayha malaikatun ghilathun shidadun la yaAAsoona Allaha ma amarahum wayafAAaloona ma yumaroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yaaa ayyuhal lazeena samanoo qooo anfusakum wa ahleekum naaranw waqoodu han naasu wal hijaaratu 'alaihaa malaaa'ikatun ghilaazun shidaadul laa ya'soonal laaha maa amarahum wa yaf'aloona maa yu'maroon |
| English (Pickthall) | O ye who believe! Ward off from yourselves and your families a Fire whereof the fuel is men and stones, over which are set angels strong, severe, who resist not Allah in that which He commandeth them, but do that which they are commanded. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | O ye who believe! save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who flinch not (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allah, but do (precisely) what they are commanded. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | O you who have believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is people and stones, over which are [appointed] angels, harsh and severe; they do not disobey Allah in what He commands them but do what they are commanded. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O those who have faith in Allah and act according to what He has legislated for them! Put up a barrier for yourselves and your families against a huge fire which is stoked with people and stones. Appointed over this fire are tough angels who are harsh to whoever enters it. They do not disobey the command of Allah when He commands them, and they do whatever He commands them to do without hesitation or showing weakness. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | ऐ ईमान लानेवालो! अपने आपको और अपने घरवालों को उस आग से बचाओ जिसका ईधन मनुष्य और पत्थर होंगे, जिसपर कठोर स्वभाव के ऐसे बलशाली फ़रिश्ते नियुक्त होंगे जो अल्लाह की अवज्ञा उसमें नहीं करेंगे जो आदेश भी वह उन्हें देगा, और वे वही करेंगे जिसका उन्हें आदेश दिया जाएगा |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और बिन ब्याही कुंवारियाँ हो ऐ ईमानदारों अपने आपको और अपने लड़के बालों को (जहन्नुम की) आग से बचाओ जिसके इंधन आदमी और पत्थर होंगे उन पर वह तन्दख़ू सख्त मिजाज़ फ़रिश्ते (मुक़र्रर) हैं कि ख़ुदा जिस बात का हुक्म देता है उसकी नाफरमानी नहीं करते और जो हुक्म उन्हें मिलता है उसे बजा लाते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ऐ अल्लाह पर ईमान रखने वालो और उसकी शरीयत पर अमल करने वालो! अपने लिए और अपने घर वालों के लिए उस भयानक आग से बचाव एवं सुरक्षा अपनाओ, जिसे मनुष्यों के द्वारा और पत्थर के ज़रिए जलाया जाएगा। इस आग पर ऐसे फ़रिश्ते नियुक्त हैं, जो उसमें प्रवेश करने वालों पर कठोर हैं और बलशाली हैं। यदि अल्लाह उन्हें कोई आदेश देता है, तो वे उसके आदेश की अवहेलना नहीं करते हैं तथा वे बिना सुस्ती और देरी के वही करते हैं जो वह उन्हें आदेश देता है। |
| Ayah 7 |
| عَرَبِي | يا أَيُّهَا الَّذينَ كَفَروا لا تَعتَذِرُوا اليَومَ ۖ إِنَّما تُجزَونَ ما كُنتُم تَعمَلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ya ayyuha allatheena kafaroo la taAAtathiroo alyawma innama tujzawna ma kuntum taAAmaloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yaaa ayyuhal lazeena kafaroo la ta'tazinul yawma innamaa tujzawna maa kuntum ta'maloon |
| English (Pickthall) | (Then it will be said): O ye who disbelieve! Make no excuses for yourselves this day. Ye are only being paid for what ye used to do. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | (They will say), "O ye Unbelievers! Make no excuses this Day! Ye are being but requited for all that ye did!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | O you who have disbelieved, make no excuses that Day. You will only be recompensed for what you used to do. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The disbelievers will be told on the day of resurrection: O you who have disbelieved in Allah! Do not make excuses today for the disbelief and sins you used to commit, because your excuses will not be accepted. Today, you will be requited only for the disbelief in Allah and rejection of His Messengers you used to perpetrate in the world. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | ऐ इनकार करनेवालो! आज उज़्र पेश न करो। तुम्हें बदले में वही तो दिया जा रहा है जो कुछ तुम करते रहे हो |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (जब कुफ्फ़ार दोज़ख़ के सामने आएँगे तो कहा जाएगा) काफ़िरों आज बहाने न ढूँढो जो कुछ तुम करते थे तुम्हें उसकी सज़ा दी जाएगी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क़ियामत के दिन काफ़िरों से कहा जाएगा : ऐ अल्लाह के साथ कुफ़्र करने वालो, आज तुम अपने कुफ़्र और पापों के लिए बहाने मत बनाओ। क्योंकि तुम्हारे बहाने को स्वीकार नहीं किया जाएगा। बल्कि, आज के दिन तुम्हें केवल अल्लाह के साथ कुफ़्र करने एवं उसके रसूलों को झुठलाने का बदला दिया जाएगा, जो तुम दुनिया में किया करते थे। |

| عَرَبِي | يا أَيُّهَا الَّذينَ آمَنوا توبوا إِلَى اللَّهِ تَوبَةً نَصوحًا عَسىٰ رَبُّكُم أَن يُكَفِّرَ عَنكُم سَيِّئَاتِكُم وَيُدخِلَكُم جَنّاتٍ تَجري مِن تَحتِهَا الأَنهارُ يَومَ لا يُخزِي اللَّهُ النَّبِيَّ وَالَّذينَ آمَنوا مَعَهُ ۖ نورُهُم يَسعىٰ بَينَ أَيديهِم وَبِأَيمانِهِم يَقولونَ رَبَّنا أَتمِم لَنا نورَنا وَاغفِر لَنا ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلىٰ كُلِّ شَيءٍ قَديرٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoo tooboo ila Allahi tawbatan nasoohan AAasa rabbukum an yukaffira AAankum sayyiatikum wayudkhilakum jannatin tajree min tahtiha alanharu yawma la yukhzee Allahu alnnabiyya waallatheena amanoo maAAahu nooruhum yasAAa bayna aydeehim wabiaymanihim yaqooloona rabbana atmim lana noorana waighfir lana innaka AAala kulli shayin qadeerun |

It may be that your Lord will remit from you your evil deeds and bring you into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, on the day when Allah will not abase the Prophet and those who believe with him. Their light will run before them and on their right hands; they will say: Our Lord! Perfect our light for us, and forgive us! Lo! Thou art Able to do all things. |

Turn to Allah with sincere repentance: In the hope that your Lord will remove from you your ills and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow,- the Day that Allah will not permit to be humiliated the Prophet and those who believe with him. Perhaps your Lord will remove from you your misdeeds and admit you into gardens beneath which rivers flow [on] the Day when Allah will not disgrace the Prophet and those who believed with him. Their light will proceed before them and on their right; they will say, "Our Lord, perfect for us our light and forgive us. Indeed, You are over all things competent." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O those who have faith in Allah and act according to what He has legislated for them! Repent to Allah sincerely for your sins; Allah will erase your sins from your records and enter you into gardens on the, under the palaces and trees of which rivers flow, on the Day of Judgement: a day on which Allah will not humiliate the Prophet nor those who had faith with him, by entering them into the hellfire. Rather, their light will shine in front of them and their right sides on the Bridge, and they will be saying: “O our Lord! Perfect for us our light so that we can enter Paradise and not be like the hypocrites whose light dies out at the Bridge; and forgive our sins for us, because You are indeed, capable of everything. You are not incapable of perfecting our light and forgiving our sins.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | ऐ ईमान लानेवाले! अल्लाह के आगे तौबा करो, विशुद्ध तौबा। बहुत सम्भव है कि तुम्हारा रब तुम्हारी बुराइयाँ तुमसे दूर कर दे और तुम्हें ऐसे बाग़ों में दाख़िल करे जिनके नीचे नहरे बह रही होंगी, जिस दिन अल्लाह नबी को और उनको जो ईमान लाकर उसके साथ हुए, रुसवा न करेगा। उनका प्रकाश उनके आगे-आगे दौड़ रहा होगा और उनके दाहिने हाथ मे होगा। वे कह रहे होंगे, "ऐ हमारे रब! हमारे लिए हमारे प्रकाश को पूर्ण कर दे और हमें क्षमा कर। निश्चय ही तू हर चीज़ की सामर्थ्य रखता है।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ऐ ईमानदारों ख़ुदा की बारगाह में साफ़ ख़ालिस दिल से तौबा करो तो (उसकी वजह से) उम्मीद है कि तुम्हारा परवरदिगार तुमसे तुम्हारे गुनाह दूर कर दे और तुमको (बेहिश्त के) उन बाग़ों में दाखिल करे जिनके नीचे नहरें जारी हैं उस दिन जब ख़ुदा रसूल को और उन लोगों को जो उनके साथ ईमान लाए हैं रूसवा नहीं करेगा (बल्कि) उनका नूर उनके आगे आगे और उनके दाहिने तरफ़ (रौशनी करता) चल रहा होगा और ये लोग ये दुआ करते होंगे परवरदिगार हमारे लिए हमारा नूर पूरा कर और हमें बख्य दे बेशक तू हर चीज़ पर कादिर है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ऐ अल्लाह पर ईमान रखने वालो और उसकी शरीयत पर अमल करने वालो! तुम अल्लाह के सामने अपने गुनाहों से सच्ची तौबा करो। आशा है कि तुम्हारा पालनहार तुम्हारे गुनाहों को मिटा दे और तुम्हें क़ियामत के दिन ऐसी जन्नतों में दाख़िल करे, जिनके महलों के नीचे से नहरें बहती हैं। जिस दिन अल्लाह नबी को तथा उनके साथ ईमान लाने वालों को जहन्नम में दाखिल करके अपमानित नहीं करेगा। उनका प्रकाश सिरात पर उनके आगे तथा उनके दाएँ चल रहा होगा। वे कहेंगे : ऐ हमारे पालनहार, हमारे लिए हमारे प्रकाश को पूर्ण कर दे, ताकि हम जन्नत में दाखिल हो सकें। और मुनाफ़िकों के जैसे न हो जाएँ, जिनका प्रकाश सिरात पर बुझ जाएगा। तथा हमारे गुनाह माफ़ कर दे। निःसंदेह तू हर चीज़ पर सर्वशक्तिमान है। इसलिए हमारे प्रकाश को पूरा करने और हमारे पापों को नजरअंदाज करने से विवश नहीं है। |
| Ayah 9 |
| عَرَبِي | يا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ جاهِدِ الكُفّارَ وَالمُنافِقينَ وَاغلُظ عَلَيهِم ۚ وَمَأواهُم جَهَنَّمُ ۖ وَبِئسَ المَصيرُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyu jahidi alkuffara waalmunafiqeena waoghluth AAalayhim wamawahum jahannamu wabisa almaseeru |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | yaaa ayyuuhan nabiyyu jaahidil kuffaara walmunaa-fiqeena waghluz 'alaihim; wa maawaahum jahannamu wa bi'sal maseer |
| English (Pickthall) | O Prophet! Strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be stern with them. Hell will be their home, a hapless journey's end. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | O Prophet! Strive hard against the Unbelievers and the Hypocrites, and be firm against them. Their abode is Hell,- an evil refuge (indeed). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | O Prophet, strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites and be harsh upon them. And their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the destination. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! Strive against the disbelievers with the sword, and against the hypocrites with your tongue and upholding the punishments. And be harsh against them so that they fear you. The abode they will end up in on the Day of Judgement is hell, and that abode is a very evil abode indeed. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | ऐ नबी! इनकार करनेवालों और कपटाचारियों से जिहाद करो और उनके साथ सख़्ती से पेश आओ। उनका ठिकाना जहन्नम है और वह अन्ततः पहुँचने की बहुत बुरी जगह है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ऐ रसूल काफ़िरों और मुनाफ़िकों से जेहाद करो और उन पर सख्ती करो और उनका ठिकाना जहन्नुम है और वह क्या बुरा ठिकाना है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ऐ रसूल, काफ़िरों से तलवार के द्वारा तथा मुनाफ़िकों से ज़बान के द्वारा और हदें (शरई दंड) क़ायम करके जिहाद करें। और उनपर सख़्ती करें, ताकि वे आपका भय महसूस करें। और उनका ठिकाना, जहाँ वे क़ियामत के दिन शरण लेंगे, जहन्नम है, और उनका वह ठिकाना बहुत बुरा ठिकाना है, जहाँ वे लौटकर जाएँगे। |

| عَرَبِي | ضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلًا لِلَّذينَ كَفَرُوا امرَأَتَ نوحٍ وَامرَأَتَ لوطٍ ۖ كانَتا تَحتَ عَبدَينِ مِن عِبادِنا صالِحَينِ فَخانَتاهُما فَلَم يُغنِيا عَنهُما مِنَ اللَّهِ شَيئًا وَقيلَ ادخُلَا النّارَ مَعَ الدّاخِلينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Daraba Allahu mathalan lillatheena kafaroo imraata noohin waimraata lootin kanata tahta AAabdayni min AAibadina salihayni fakhanatahuma falam yughniya AAanhuma mina Allahi shayan waqeela odkhula alnnara maAAa alddakhileena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Darabal laahu masalal lillazeena kafarum ra ata Noobinw wamra ata Loot, kaanataa tahta 'abdaini min 'ibaadinaa saalihaini fakhaanataahumaa falam yughniyaa 'anhumaa minal laahi shai anw-wa qeelad khulan naara ma'ad Daakhileen |
| English (Pickthall) | Allah citeth an example for those who disbelieve: the wife of Noah and the wife of Lot, who were under two of Our righteous slaves yet betrayed them so that they (the husbands) availed them naught against Allah and it was said (unto them): Enter the Fire along with those who enter. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Allah sets forth, for an example to the Unbelievers, the wife of Noah and the wife of Lut: they were (respectively) under two of our righteous servants, but they were false to their (husbands), and they profited nothing before Allah on their account, but were told: "Enter ye the Fire along with (others) that enter!" |

For verily they were wives to two pious servants, but they deceived their husbands by preventing from the path of Allah and helping the people of disbelief from their nations. Their being wives of these two pious servants did not help them, and it will be said to them: “Enter into the hellfire amongst the disbelievers and transgressors entering it.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अल्लाह ने इनकार करनेवालों के लिए नूह की स्त्री और लूत की स्त्री की मिसाल पेश की है। वे हमारे बन्दों में से दो नेक बन्दों के अधीन थीं। किन्तु उन दोनों स्त्रियों ने उनसे विश्वासघात किया तो अल्लाह के मुक़ाबले में उनके कुछ काम न आ सके और कह दिया गया, "प्रवेश करनेवालों के साथ दोनों आग में प्रविष्ट हो जाओ।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ख़ुदा ने काफिरों (की इबरत) के वास्ते नूह की बीवी (वाएला) और लूत की बीवी (वाहेला) की मसल बयान की है कि ये दोनो हमारे बन्दों के तसर्रुफ़ थीं तो दोनों ने अपने शौहरों से दगा की तो उनके शौहर ख़ुदा के मुक़ाबले में उनके कुछ भी काम न आए और उनको हुक्म दिया गया कि और जाने वालों के साथ जहन्नुम में तुम दोनों भी दाखिल हो जाओ |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अल्लाह ने उन लोगों के लिए, जिन्होंने अल्लाह और उसके रसूलों का इनकार किया (यह स्पष्ट करने के लिए कि ईमान वालों के साथ उनका संबंध किसी भी तरह से फायदेमंद नहीं है) अल्लाह के दो नबियों : नूह और लूत अलैहिमस्सलाम की पत्नियों का उदाहरण दिया है। वे दोनों दो नेक बंदों की पत्नियाँ थीं। किन्तु दोनों ने अपने पतियों के साथ विश्वासघात किया। क्योंकि वे दोनों अल्लाह के मार्ग से रोकती तथा अपनी जाति के काफ़िरों का समर्थन करती थीं। इसलिए उन दोनों का इन दोनों नेक बंदों की पत्नियाँ होने का कोई लाभ न हुआ। और उनसे कहा गया : जहन्नम में प्रवेश करने वाले काफ़िरों और अवज्ञाकारियों के साथ तुम दोनों (भी) उसमें प्रवेश कर जाओ। |
| Ayah 11 |
| عَرَبِي | وَضَرَبَ اللَّهُ مَثَلًا لِلَّذينَ آمَنُوا امرَأَتَ فِرعَونَ إِذ قالَت رَبِّ ابنِ لي عِندَكَ بَيتًا فِي الجَنَّةِ وَنَجِّني مِن فِرعَونَ وَعَمَلِهِ وَنَجِّني مِنَ القَومِ الظّالِمينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wadaraba Allahu mathalan lillatheena amanoo imraata firAAawna ith qalat rabbi ibni lee AAindaka baytan fee aljannati wanajjinee min firAAawna waAAamalihi wanajjinee mina alqawmi alththalimeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa darabal laahu masa lal-lillazeena aamanumra ata Fir'awn; iz qaalat rabbibni lee 'indaka baitan fil jannati wa najjinee min Fir'awna wa 'amalihii wa najjinee minal qawmiz zaalimeen |
| English (Pickthall) | And Allah citeth an example for those who believe: the wife of Pharaoh when she said: My Lord! Build for me a home with thee in the Garden, and deliver me from Pharaoh and his work, and deliver me from evil-doing folk; |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और अल्लाह ने उन लोगों के लिए, जो अल्लाह और उसके रसूलों पर ईमान लाए, यह बतलाने के लिए कि काफ़िरों के साथ उनका संबंध उन्हें कुछ नुक़सान नहीं पहुँचाएगा और उन्हें प्रभावित नहीं करेगा जब तक कि वे सत्य पर सुदृढ़ हैं, फ़िरऔन की पत्नी की स्थिति का उदाहरण प्रस्तुत किया है, जब उसने कहा : ऐ मेरे पालनहार! मेरे लिए अपने निकट जन्नत में एक घर बना और मुझे फ़िरऔन के अत्याचार और उसके बुरे कामों से बचा ले तथा मुझे उन लोगों से बचा ले, जो उसकी सरकशी एवं अत्याचार में उसका पालन करके अपने ऊपर अत्याचार करने वाले हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | وَمَريَمَ ابنَتَ عِمرانَ الَّتي أَحصَنَت فَرجَها فَنَفَخنا فيهِ مِن روحِنا وَصَدَّقَت بِكَلِماتِ رَبِّها وَكُتُبِهِ وَكانَت مِنَ القانِتينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wamaryama ibnata AAimrana allatee ahsanat farjaha fanafakhna feehi min roohina wasaddaqat bikalimati rabbiha wakutubihi wakanat mina alqaniteena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa Maryamab nata 'Imraanal lateee ahsanat farjahaa fanafakhnaa feehi mir roobinaa wa saddaqat bikali maati Rabbihaa wa Kutubihee wakaanat minal qaaniteen |
| English (Pickthall) | And Mary, daughter of 'Imran, whose body was chaste, therefor We breathed therein something of Our Spirit. And she put faith in the words of her Lord and His scriptures, and was of the obedient. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And Mary the daughter of 'Imran, who guarded her chastity; and We breathed into (her body) of Our spirit; and she testified to the truth of the words of her Lord and of His Revelations, and was one of the devout (servants). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [the example of] Mary, the daughter of 'Imran, who guarded her chastity, so We blew into [her garment] through Our angel, and she believed in the words of her Lord and His scriptures and was of the devoutly obedient. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And Allah also mentions an example for those who have faith in Him and His Messengers, in the condition of Mary the daughter of ‘Imrān who safeguarded her private parts from fornication, so Allah commanded Gabriel to blow into her due to which she fell pregnant through the power of Allah with Jesus the son of Mary, without a father. She also believed in the religions of Allah and the books revealed to His Messengers, and she was obedient to Allah by fulfilling His commands and refraining from the things He did not allow. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (दूसरी मिसाल) इमरान की बेटी मरियम जिसने अपनी शर्मगाह को महफूज़ रखा तो हमने उसमें रूह फूंक दी और उसने अपने परवरदिगार की बातों और उसकी किताबों की तस्दीक़ की और फरमाबरदारों में थी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा अल्लाह ने उन लोगों के लिए, जो अल्लाह और उसके रसूलों पर ईमान लाए, मरयम बिन्त इमरान का उदाहरण पेश किया है, जिसने खुद को व्यभिचार से सुरक्षित रखा, तो अल्लाह ने जिबरील को उसके अंदर फूँक मारने का आदेश दिया। चुनाँचे उसने अल्लाह की शक्ति के साथ बिना बाप के ईसा बिन मरयम अलैहिस्सलाम का गर्भ धारण कर लिया। तथा उसने अल्लाह के नियमों की और उसके रसूलों पर अवतरित उसकी किताबों की पुष्टि की। और वह अल्लाह के आदेशों का पालन करके और उसकी मना की हुई बातों से बचकर उसका आज्ञापालन करने वालों में से थी। |
