| عَرَبِي | إِنّا أَرسَلنا نوحًا إِلىٰ قَومِهِ أَن أَنذِر قَومَكَ مِن قَبلِ أَن يَأتِيَهُم عَذابٌ أَليمٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna arsalna noohan ila qawmihi an anthir qawmaka min qabli an yatiyahum AAathabun aleemun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innaaa arsalnaa Noohan ilaa qawmihee an anzir qawmaka min qabli any yaatiyahum 'azaabun aleem |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! We sent Noah unto his people (saying): Warn thy people ere the painful doom come unto them. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | We sent Noah to his People (with the Command): "Do thou warn thy People before there comes to them a grievous Penalty." |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हमने नूह (अलैहिस्सलाम) को उनकी जाति के पास लोगों को अल्लाह की ओर आमंत्रित करने के लिए भेजा, ताकि वह अपने समुदाय के लोगों को डराएँ, इससे पहले कि उनके अल्लाह के साथ शिर्क करने के कारण, उनपर दर्दनाक यातना आ जाए। |

| عَرَبِي | قالَ يا قَومِ إِنّي لَكُم نَذيرٌ مُبينٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qala ya qawmi innee lakum natheerun mubeenun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qaala yaa qawmi innee lakum nazeerum mubeen |
| English (Pickthall) | He said: O my people! Lo! I am a plain warner unto you |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | He said: "O my People! I am to you a Warner, clear and open: |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | नूह (अलैहिस्सलाम) ने अपनी जाति के लोगों से कहा : ऐ मेरी जाति के लोगो! मैं तुम्हें स्पष्ट रूप से उस यातना से डराने वाला हूँ, जो तुम्हारी प्रतीक्षा कर रही है यदि तुमने अल्लाह से तौबा न की। |

| عَرَبِي | أَنِ اعبُدُوا اللَّهَ وَاتَّقوهُ وَأَطيعونِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ani oAAbudoo Allaha waittaqoohu waateeAAooni |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ani'udul laaha watta qoohu wa atee'oon |
| English (Pickthall) | (Bidding you): Serve Allah and keep your duty unto Him and obey me, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "That ye should worship Allah, fear Him and obey me: |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [Saying], 'Worship Allah, fear Him and obey me. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | “And the gist of my warning to you is: “Worship Allah alone and do not ascribe any partners to Him; be mindful of Him by fulfilling His commands and refraining from the things He has not allowed, and obey me in whatever I instruct you to do.” |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और मेरे तुम्हें डराने की अपेक्षा यह है कि मैं तुमसे कहता हूँ : तुम केवल अल्लाह की इबादत करो और उसके साथ किसी को साझी न बनाओ, तथा उसके आदेशों का पालन करके और उसके निषेधों से बचकर उससे डरो और मैं तुम्हें जो कुछ आदेश देता हूँ, उसमें मेरा आज्ञापालन करो। |

| عَرَبِي | يَغفِر لَكُم مِن ذُنوبِكُم وَيُؤَخِّركُم إِلىٰ أَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ۚ إِنَّ أَجَلَ اللَّهِ إِذا جاءَ لا يُؤَخَّرُ ۖ لَو كُنتُم تَعلَمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yaghfir lakum min thunoobikum wayuakhkhirkum ila ajalin musamman inna ajala Allahi itha jaa la yuakhkharu law kuntum taAAlamoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yaghfir lakum min zunoobikum wa yu'akhkhirkum ilaaa ajalim musammaa; innaa ajalal laahi izaa jaaa'a laa yu'akhkhar; law kuntum ta'lamoon |
| English (Pickthall) | That He may forgive you somewhat of your sins and respite you to an appointed term. Lo! the term of Allah, when it cometh, cannot be delayed, if ye but knew. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "So He may forgive you your sins and give you respite for a stated Term: for when the Term given by Allah is accomplished, it cannot be put forward: if ye only knew." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Allah will forgive you of your sins and delay you for a specified term. Indeed, the time [set by] Allah, when it comes, will not be delayed, if you only knew.' " |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | “Indeed, if you do that, Allah will forgive your sins for you in relation to other than violating the rights of the people. He will also prolong the lifespan of your nations until a time fixed according to His knowledge, wherein you shall populate the earth as long as you remain steadfast on it. Indeed, when death comes, it does not delay. If you truly knew, you would hasten to bringing faith in Allah and repenting to Him from your states of ascribing partners to Him and of deviance.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | "वह तुम्हें क्षमा करके तुम्हारे गुनाहों से तुम्हें पाक कर देगा और एक निश्चित समय तक तुम्हे मुहल्लत देगा। निश्चय ही जब अल्लाह का निश्चित समय आ जाता है तो वह टलता नहीं, काश कि तुम जानते!" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ख़ुदा तुम्हारे गुनाह बख्श देगा और तुम्हें (मौत के) मुक़र्रर वक्त तक बाक़ी रखेगा, बेशक जब ख़ुदा का मुक़र्रर किया हुआ वक्त अा जाता है तो पीछे हटाया नहीं जा सकता अगर तुम समझते होते |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अगर तुम ऐसा करोगे, तो अल्लाह तुम्हारे उन गुनाहों को क्षमा कर देगा, जो बंदों के अधिकारों से संबंधित नहीं हैं। और तुम्हारे समुदाय की जीवन-अवधि एक निर्धारित समय तक बढ़ा देगा, जो अल्लाह के ज्ञान में है। जब तक तुम इसपर क़ायम रहोगे, धरती को आबाद रखोगे। निश्चय जब मौत आ जाती है, तो टाली नहीं जाती। अगर तुम इस तथ्य को जानते होते, तो अल्लाह पर ईमान लाने और अपने शिर्क और गुमराही से तौबा करने में अवश्य जल्दी करते। |

| عَرَبِي | قالَ رَبِّ إِنّي دَعَوتُ قَومي لَيلًا وَنَهارًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qala rabbi innee daAAawtu qawmee laylan wanaharan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qaala rabbi innee da'awtu qawmee lailanw wa naharaa |
| English (Pickthall) | He said: My Lord! Lo! I have called unto my people night and day |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | He said: "O my Lord! I have called to my People night and day: |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | He said, "My Lord, indeed I invited my people [to truth] night and day. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Noah said, “O my Lord! Indeed, I called my people to Your worship and oneness, continuously, day and night.” |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | नूह (अलैहिस्सलाम) ने कहा : ऐ मेरे रब! मैं अपनी जाति के लोगों को तेरी इबादत और एकेश्वरवाद की ओर रात और दिन लगातार बुलाता रहा। |

| عَرَبِي | فَلَم يَزِدهُم دُعائي إِلّا فِرارًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Falam yazidhum duAAaee illa firaran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Falam yazid hum du'aaa 'eee illaa firaaraa |
| English (Pickthall) | But all my calling doth but add to their repugnance; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "But my call only increases (their) flight (from the Right). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But my invitation increased them not except in flight. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | “But my calling them only increased them in alienation and distanced them from what I called them towards.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | "किन्तु मेरी पुकार ने उनके पलायन को ही बढ़ाया |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | लेकिन वह मेरे बुलाने से और ज्यादा गुरेज़ ही करते रहे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | परंतु मेरे बुलाने से उनके उस चीज़ से भागने और दूर होने ही में वृद्धि हुई, जिसकी ओर मैं उन्हें बुलाता हूँ।। |

| عَرَبِي | وَإِنّي كُلَّما دَعَوتُهُم لِتَغفِرَ لَهُم جَعَلوا أَصابِعَهُم في آذانِهِم وَاستَغشَوا ثِيابَهُم وَأَصَرّوا وَاستَكبَرُوا استِكبارًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wainnee kullama daAAawtuhum litaghfira lahum jaAAaloo asabiAAahum fee athanihim waistaghshaw thiyabahum waasarroo waistakbaroo istikbaran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa inee kullamaa da'awtuhum litaghfira lahum ja'alooo asaabi'ahum fee aazaanihim wastaghshaw siyaabahum wa asaarroo wastakbarus tikbaaraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And lo! whenever I call unto them that Thou mayst pardon them they thrust their fingers in their ears and cover themselves with their garments and persist (in their refusal) and magnify themselves in pride. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "And every time I have called to them, that Thou mightest forgive them, they have (only) thrust their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their garments, grown obstinate, and given themselves up to arrogance. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And indeed, every time I invited them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their garments, persisted, and were arrogant with [great] arrogance. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | “And whenever I called them towards that which meant forgiveness for their sins, i.e. worshipping You alone, obedience to You and Your Messenger, they blocked their ears with their fingers so that they could not hear my call. They also covered their faces with their clothes so that they could not see me, and they continued in their ascribing partners to you, showing arrogance in not accepting my call to them or submitting to it.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | "और जब भी मैंने उन्हें बुलाया, ताकि तू उन्हें क्षमा कर दे, तो उन्होंने अपने कानों में अपनी उँगलियाँ दे लीं और अपने कपड़ो से स्वयं को ढाँक लिया और अपनी हठ पर अड़ गए और बड़ा ही घमंड किया |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और मैने जब उनको बुलाया कि (ये तौबा करें और) तू उन्हें माफ कर दे तो उन्होने अपने कानों में उंगलियां दे लीं और मुझसे छिपने को कपड़े ओढ़ लिए और अड़ गए और बहुत शिद्दत से अकड़ बैठे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और जब भी मैंने उन्हें उस चीज़ की ओर आमंत्रित किया, जिसमें उनके पापों की क्षमा का कारण है; जैसे कि केवल तेरी इबादत करना तथा तेरा आज्ञापालन और तेरे रसूल का आज्ञापालन करना - तो उन्होंने अपनी उँगलियों से अपने कान बंद कर लिए; ताकि उन्हें मेरी बात सुनने से रोक दें, और अपने चेहरे को अपने कपड़ों से ढँक लिए, ताकि वे मुझे न देखें, तथा अपने शिर्क पर जमे रहे, और जिसकी ओर मैं उन्हें आमंत्रित करता हूँ, उसे स्वीकार करने और उसका पालन करने से अभिमान दिखाया। |

| عَرَبِي | ثُمَّ إِنّي دَعَوتُهُم جِهارًا |

| English (Pickthall) | And lo! I have called unto them aloud, |

| عَرَبِي | ثُمَّ إِنّي أَعلَنتُ لَهُم وَأَسرَرتُ لَهُم إِسرارًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Thumma innee aAAlantu lahum waasrartu lahum israran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Summaa inneee a'lantu lahum wa asrartu lahum israaraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And lo! I have made public proclamation unto them, and I have appealed to them in private. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "Further I have spoken to them in public and secretly in private, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Then I announced to them and [also] confided to them secretly |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | “I invited them raising my voice, and I also invited them privately in a hushed tone. I used different methods of calling them.” |

| عَرَبِي | فَقُلتُ استَغفِروا رَبَّكُم إِنَّهُ كانَ غَفّارًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faqultu istaghfiroo rabbakum innahu kana ghaffaran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Faqultus taghfiroo Rabakam innahoo kaana Ghaffaaraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And I have said: Seek pardon of your Lord. Lo! He was ever Forgiving. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "Saying, 'Ask forgiveness from your Lord; for He is Oft-Forgiving; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Then I said to them, “O my people! Seek the forgiveness of your Lord by turning to Him. Indeed, He, may He be glorified, is the oft-Forgiving of the sins of whichever of His servants repents to Him.” |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तो मैंने उनसे कहा : ऐ मेरी जाति के लोगो! अपने पालनहार से उसके समक्ष तौबा करके क्षमा माँगो। निश्चय वह अपने तौबा करने वाले बंदों के गुनाहों को बहुत क्षमा करने वाला है। |

| عَرَبِي | يُرسِلِ السَّماءَ عَلَيكُم مِدرارًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yursili alssamaa AAalaykum midraran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yursilis samaaa'a 'alaikum midraaraa |
| English (Pickthall) | He will let loose the sky for you in plenteous rain, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "'He will send rain to you in abundance; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | “Because if you do that, Allah will send down frequent rainfall for you, whenever you need it, so you will never face a drought.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | "वह बादल भेजेगा तुमपर ख़ूब बरसनेवाला, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (और) तुम पर आसमान से मूसलाधार पानी बरसाएगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अगर तुमने ऐसा किया, तो जब भी तुम्हें आवश्यकता होगी, अल्लाह तुम पर लगातार बारिश बरसाएगा। इसलिए तुम सूखे से पीड़ित नहीं होगे। |

| عَرَبِي | وَيُمدِدكُم بِأَموالٍ وَبَنينَ وَيَجعَل لَكُم جَنّاتٍ وَيَجعَل لَكُم أَنهارًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wayumdidkum biamwalin wabaneena wayajAAal lakum jannatin wayajAAal lakum anharan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa yumdidkum bi am waalinw wa baneena wa yaj'al lakum Jannaatinw wa yaj'al lakum anhaaraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And will help you with wealth and sons, and will assign unto you Gardens and will assign unto you rivers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "'Give you increase in wealth and sons; and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers (of flowing water). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | “And He will grant you an abundance of wealth and offspring, make gardens grow for you from which you can consume fruits, and make rivers flow from which you can drink and irrigate your crops and livestock.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | "और वह माल और बेटों से तुम्हें बढ़ोतरी प्रदान करेगा, और तुम्हारे लिए बाग़ पैदा करेगा और तुम्हारे लिए नहरें प्रवाहित करेगा |

| عَرَبِي | ما لَكُم لا تَرجونَ لِلَّهِ وَقارًا |

| English (Pickthall) | What aileth you that ye hope not toward Allah for dignity |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "'What is the matter with you, that ye place not your hope for kindness and long-suffering in Allah,- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | What is [the matter] with you that you do not attribute to Allah [due] grandeur |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | “O my people! What is wrong with you that you do not fear the greatness of Allah, such that you disobey Him without any care?!” |

| English (Yusuf Ali) | "'Seeing that it is He that has created you in diverse stages? |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | “While He created you in stages, one after the other: a drop of semen, then clotted blood, then a piece of flesh.” |

| عَرَبِي | أَلَم تَرَوا كَيفَ خَلَقَ اللَّهُ سَبعَ سَماواتٍ طِباقًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Alam taraw kayfa khalaqa Allahu sabAAa samawatin tibaqan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Alam taraw kaifa khalaqal laahu sab'a samaawaatin tibaaqaa |
| English (Pickthall) | See ye not how Allah hath created seven heavens in harmony, |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | नूह (अलैहिस्सलाम) ने कहा : ऐ मेरे रब! मेरी जाति के लोगों ने उस चीज़ में मेरी अवज्ञा की, जो मैंने उन्हें तेरे एकेश्वरवाद (तौहीद) और अकेले तेरी इबादत करने का आदेश दिया। और उनमें से निचले स्तर के लोगों ने अपने सरदारों का अनुसरण किया, जिन्हें तू ने धन और संतान की नेमत प्रदान की है। परन्तु तू ने उन्हें जो कुछ प्रदान किया, उसने उन्हें गुमराही के अलावा किसी चीज़ में नहीं बढ़ाया। |

| عَرَبِي | وَقالوا لا تَذَرُنَّ آلِهَتَكُم وَلا تَذَرُنَّ وَدًّا وَلا سُواعًا وَلا يَغوثَ وَيَعوقَ وَنَسرًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waqaloo la tatharunna alihatakum wala tatharunna waddan wala suwaAAan wala yaghootha wayaAAooqa wanasran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa qaaloo laa tazarunna aalihatakum wa laa tazarunna Waddanw wa laa Suwaa'anw wa laa Yaghoosa wa Ya'ooqa wa Nasraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And they have said: Forsake not your gods. Forsake not Wadd, nor Suwa', nor Yaghuth and Ya'uq and Nasr. |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa qad adalloo kasee ranw wa laa tazidiz zaalimeena illaa dalaalaa |
| English (Pickthall) | And they have led many astray, and Thou increasest the wrong-doers in naught save error. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "They have already misled many; and grant Thou no increase to the wrong-doers but in straying (from their mark)." |

| عَرَبِي | مِمّا خَطيئَاتِهِم أُغرِقوا فَأُدخِلوا نارًا فَلَم يَجِدوا لَهُم مِن دونِ اللَّهِ أَنصارًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Mimma khateeatihim oghriqoo faodkhiloo naran falam yajidoo lahum min dooni Allahi ansaran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Mimmaa khateee' aatihim ughriqoo fa udkhiloo Naaran falam yajidoo lahum min doonil laahi ansaaraa |
| English (Pickthall) | Because of their sins they were drowned, then made to enter a Fire. And they found they had no helpers in place of Allah. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Because of their sins they were drowned (in the flood), and were made to enter the Fire (of Punishment): and they found- in lieu of Allah- none to help them. |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّكَ إِن تَذَرهُم يُضِلّوا عِبادَكَ وَلا يَلِدوا إِلّا فاجِرًا كَفّارًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Innaka in tatharhum yudilloo AAibadaka wala yalidoo illa fajiran kaffaran |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innaka in tazarhum yudil loo 'ibaadaka wa laa yalidooo illaa faajiran kaffaaraa |
| English (Pickthall) | If Thou shouldst leave them, they will mislead Thy slaves and will beget none save lewd ingrates. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "For, if Thou dost leave (any of) them, they will but mislead Thy devotees, and they will breed none but wicked ungrateful ones. |
