| عَرَبِي | لِلكافِرينَ لَيسَ لَهُ دافِعٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Lilkafireena laysa lahu dafiAAun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Lilkaafireen laisa lahoo daafi' |
| English (Pickthall) | Upon the disbelievers, which none can repel, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The Unbelievers, the which there is none to ward off,- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | To the disbelievers; of it there is no preventer. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | It will fall upon the disbelievers in Allah. There will be no one to avert this punishment. |

| عَرَبِي | تَعرُجُ المَلائِكَةُ وَالرّوحُ إِلَيهِ في يَومٍ كانَ مِقدارُهُ خَمسينَ أَلفَ سَنَةٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | TaAAruju almalaikatu waalrroohu ilayhi fee yawmin kana miqdaruhu khamseena alfa sanatin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ta'rujul malaaa'ikatu war Roohu ilaihi fee yawmin kaana miqdaaruhoo khamseena alfa sanah |
| English (Pickthall) | (Whereby) the angels and the Spirit ascend unto Him in a Day whereof the span is fifty thousand years. |

| عَرَبِي | فَاصبِر صَبرًا جَميلًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faisbir sabran jameelan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fasbir ssabran jameelaa |
| English (Pickthall) | But be patient (O Muhammad) with a patience fair to see. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Therefore do thou hold Patience,- a Patience of beautiful (contentment). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So be patient with gracious patience. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! So be patient; a patience free of worry and complaint. |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّهُم يَرَونَهُ بَعيدًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Innahum yarawnahu baAAeedan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Inaahum yarawnahoo ba'eedaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! they behold it afar off |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They see the (Day) indeed as a far-off (event): |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, they see it [as] distant, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Indeed, they think of this punishment to be farfetched and impossible. |

| عَرَبِي | وَنَراهُ قَريبًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wanarahu qareeban |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa naraahu qareebaa |
| English (Pickthall) | While we behold it nigh: |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But We see it (quite) near. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But We see it [as] near. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | But I see it as being near and inevitably occurring. |

| عَرَبِي | يَومَ تَكونُ السَّماءُ كَالمُهلِ |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yawma takoonus samaaa'u kalmuhl |
| English (Pickthall) | The day when the sky will become as molten copper, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The Day that the sky will be like molten brass, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | On the Day the sky will be like murky oil, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | On the day when the sky will be like molten copper, gold and other metals. |

| عَرَبِي | وَتَكونُ الجِبالُ كَالعِهنِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Watakoonu aljibalu kaalAAihni |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa takoonul jibaalu kal'ihn |
| English (Pickthall) | And the hills become as flakes of wool, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And the mountains will be like wool, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And the mountains will be like wool, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And the mountains will be light, like cotton. |

| Ayah 10 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلا يَسأَلُ حَميمٌ حَميمًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wala yasalu hameemun hameeman |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laa yas'alu hameemun hameemaa |
| English (Pickthall) | And no familiar friend will ask a question of his friend |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And no friend will ask after a friend, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And no friend will ask [anything of] a friend, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | No relative will ask another regarding his state, because each person will be preoccupied with his own self. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | कोई मित्र किसी मित्र को न पूछेगा, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | बावजूद कि एक दूसरे को देखते होंगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और कोई निकट संबंधी अपने निकट संबंधी का हाल नहीं पूछेगा, क्योंकि हर कोई अपने आप में व्यस्त होगा। |
| Ayah 11 |
| عَرَبِي | يُبَصَّرونَهُم ۚ يَوَدُّ المُجرِمُ لَو يَفتَدي مِن عَذابِ يَومِئِذٍ بِبَنيهِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yubassaroonahum yawaddu almujrimu law yaftadee min AAathabi yawmiithin bibaneehi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yubassaroonahum; ya waddul mujrimu law yaftadee min 'azaabi yawma'izim bibaneeh |
| English (Pickthall) | Though they will be given sight of them. The guilty man will long to be able to ransom himself from the punishment of that day at the price of his children |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Though they will be put in sight of each other,- the sinner's desire will be: Would that he could redeem himself from the Penalty of that Day by (sacrificing) his children, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | They will be shown each other. The criminal will wish that he could be ransomed from the punishment of that Day by his children |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Each human will see their relatives clearly, yet despite that no one will ask another due to the horror of the scenario. The one deserving of the hellfire will wish to present his children to the punishment instead of himself. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | हालाँकि वे एक-दूसरे को दिखाए जाएँगे। अपराधी चाहेगा कि किसी प्रकार वह उस दिन की यातना से छूटने के लिए अपने बेटों, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | कोई किसी दोस्त को न पूछेगा गुनेहगार तो आरज़ू करेगा कि काश उस दिन के अज़ाब के बदले उसके बेटों |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | प्रत्येक व्यक्ति अपने निकट के संबंधी को देख रहा होगा, वह उससे छिपा नहीं होगा। फिर भी, उस स्थिति की भयावहता के कारण, कोई किसी को नहीं पूछेगा। तथा वह व्यक्ति जो जहन्नम का हक़दार बन गया होगा, यह चाहेगा कि अपने बजाय अपने बच्चों को यातना के लिए पेश कर दे। |

| عَرَبِي | وَصاحِبَتِهِ وَأَخيهِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wasahibatihi waakheehi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa saahibatihee wa akheeh |
| English (Pickthall) | And his spouse and his brother |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | His wife and his brother, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And his wife and his brother |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Or give his wife and brother in ransom. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और उसकी बीवी और उसके भाई |

| عَرَبِي | وَفَصيلَتِهِ الَّتي تُؤويهِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wafaseelatihi allatee tuweehi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa faseelathil latee tu'weeh |
| English (Pickthall) | And his kin that harboured him |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | His kindred who sheltered him, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And his nearest kindred who shelter him |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Or his closest relatives who would stand with him in the face of difficulties. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और अपने उस परिवार को जो उसको आश्रय देता है, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और उसके कुनबे को जिसमें वह रहता था |

| Ayah 14 |
| عَرَبِي | وَمَن فِي الأَرضِ جَميعًا ثُمَّ يُنجيهِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waman fee alardi jameeAAan thumma yunjeehi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa man fil ardi jamee'an summa yunjeeh |
| English (Pickthall) | And all that are in the earth, if then it might deliver him. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And all, all that is on earth,- so it could deliver him: |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And whoever is on earth entirely [so] then it could save him. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And he will wish to give every human and Jinn on earth in ransom, wishing that it would save him from the punishment of the hellfire. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और उन सभी लोगों को जो धरती में रहते है, फ़िदया (मुक्ति-प्रतिदान) के रूप में दे डाले फिर वह उसको छुटकारा दिला दे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जितने आदमी ज़मीन पर हैं सब को ले ले और उसको छुटकारा दे दें |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और धरती पर मौजूद मनुष्य, जिन्न और अन्य सहित सभी को छुड़ौती के रूप में दे दे। फिर यह फ़िदया देना उसे जहन्नम की यातना से बचा ले। |
| Ayah 15 |
| عَرَبِي | كَلّا ۖ إِنَّها لَظىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Kalla innaha latha |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Kallaa innahaa lazaa |
| English (Pickthall) | But nay! for lo! it is the fire of hell |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | By no means! for it would be the Fire of Hell!- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | No! Indeed, it is the Flame [of Hell], |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | It will not be as this criminal will wish for. Indeed, it is the fire of the afterlife which blazes and flares up. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | कदापि नहीं! वह लपट मारती हुई आग है, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (मगर) ये हरगिज़ न होगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | मामला वैसा नहीं है, जैसा कि इस अपराधी ने कामना की है। निश्चय वह आख़िरत की आग है, जो भड़क रही है और लपट मार रही है। |
| Ayah 16 |
| عَرَبِي | نَزّاعَةً لِلشَّوىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | NazzaAAatan lilshshawa |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Nazzaa'atal lishshawaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Eager to roast; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Plucking out (his being) right to the skull!- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | A remover of exteriors. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Due to its extreme heat and flares, the skin of the head will come clean apart. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जो मांस और त्वचा को चाट जाएगी, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जहन्नुम की वह भड़कती आग है कि खाल उधेड़ कर रख देगी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो अपनी गर्मी और प्रज्वलन की तीव्रता से गंभीर रूप से सिर की खाल उधेड़ देगी। |
| Ayah 17 |
| عَرَبِي | تَدعو مَن أَدبَرَ وَتَوَلّىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | TadAAoo man adbara watawalla |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Tad'oo man adbara wa tawallaa |
| English (Pickthall) | It calleth him who turned and fled (from truth), |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Inviting (all) such as turn their backs and turn away their faces (from the Right). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | It invites he who turned his back [on truth] and went away [from obedience] |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | It will call out to whoever turned away from the truth, distanced himself from it, did not bring faith in it nor acted upon it. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उस व्यक्ति को बुलाती है जिसने पीठ फेरी और मुँह मोड़ा, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (और) उन लोगों को अपनी तरफ बुलाती होगी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वह उस व्यक्ति को पुकारेगी, जिसने सत्य से मुँह मोड़ा और उससे दूर भागा, न उसपर ईमान लाया और न उसपर अमल किया। |
| Ayah 18 |
| عَرَبِي | وَجَمَعَ فَأَوعىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | WajamaAAa faawAAa |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | W jama'a fa aw'aa |
| English (Pickthall) | And hoarded (wealth) and withheld it. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And collect (wealth) and hide it (from use)! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And collected [wealth] and hoarded. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And whoever amassed wealth, withholding from spending it in the path of Allah. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और (धन) एकत्र किया और सैंत कर रखा |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जिन्होंने (दीन से) पीठ फेरी और मुँह मोड़ा और (माल जमा किया) |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और उसने धन जमा किया और उसे अल्लाह के रास्ते में खर्च करने में कंजूसी की। |
| Ayah 19 |
| عَرَبِي | ۞ إِنَّ الإِنسانَ خُلِقَ هَلوعًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna alinsana khuliqa halooAAan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innal insaana khuliqa haloo'aa |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! man was created anxious, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Truly man was created very impatient;- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, mankind was created anxious: |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Indeed, man has been created extremely greedy. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | निस्संदेह मनुष्य अधीर पैदा हुआ है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और बन्द कर रखा बेशक इन्सान बड़ा लालची पैदा हुआ है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निश्चय इनसान सख़्त लालची पैदा किया गया है। |
| Ayah 20 |
| عَرَبِي | إِذا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ جَزوعًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Itha massahu alshsharru jazooAAan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Izaa massahush sharru jazoo'aa |
| English (Pickthall) | Fretful when evil befalleth him |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Fretful when evil touches him; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | When evil touches him, impatient, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | When a difficulty i.e. illness or poverty befalls him, he shows little patience. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जि उसे तकलीफ़ पहुँचती है तो घबरा उठता है, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जब उसे तक़लीफ छू भी गयी तो घबरा गया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जब वह बीमारी या गरीबी जैसी किसी तकलीफ से पीड़ित होता है, तो अधीर हो जाता है। |
| Ayah 21 |
| عَرَبِي | وَإِذا مَسَّهُ الخَيرُ مَنوعًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waitha massahu alkhayru manooAAan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa izaa massahul khairu manoo'aa |
| English (Pickthall) | And, when good befalleth him, grudging; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And niggardly when good reaches him;- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And when good touches him, withholding [of it], |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And when something that makes him happy comes to him, i.e. fertility and wealth, he is very resistant in spending it in the path of Allah. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | किन्तु जब उसे सम्पन्नता प्राप्त होती ही तो वह कृपणता दिखाता है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जब उसे ज़रा फराग़ी हासिल हुई तो बख़ील बन बैठा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और जब उसे उर्वरता और मालदारी जैसी कोई खुशी देने वाली चीज़ मिलती है, तो वह उसे अल्लाह के मार्ग में खर्च करने से बहुत ज़्यादा रोकने वाला होता है। |
| Ayah 22 |
| عَرَبِي | إِلَّا المُصَلّينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Illa almusalleena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Illal musalleen |
| English (Pickthall) | Save worshippers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Not so those devoted to Prayer;- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Except the observers of prayer - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Except for those who perform prayer; they are safe from these blameworthy traits. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | किन्तु नमाज़ अदा करनेवालों की बात और है, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | मगर जो लोग नमाज़ पढ़ते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | सिवाय उन बंदों के जो नमाज़ अदा करने वाले हैं। चुनाँचे वे इन निंदनीय विशेषताओं से सुरक्षित हैं। |
| Ayah 23 |
| عَرَبِي | الَّذينَ هُم عَلىٰ صَلاتِهِم دائِمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Allatheena hum AAala salatihim daimoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Allazeena hum 'alaa Salaatihim daaa'imoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Who are constant at their worship |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who remain steadfast to their prayer; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Those who are constant in their prayer |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who are punctual with their prayers; they are not distracted from them and they perform them at their fixed times. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जो अपनी नमाज़ पर सदैव जमें रहते है, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जो अपनी नमाज़ का इल्तज़ाम रखते हैं |

| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ في أَموالِهِم حَقٌّ مَعلومٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena fee amwalihim haqqun maAAloomun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena feee amwaalihim haqqum ma'loom |
| English (Pickthall) | And in whose wealth there is a right acknowledged |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And those in whose wealth is a recognised right. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And those within whose wealth is a known right |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And those who have a set, determined amount of their wealth. |

| عَرَبِي | لِلسّائِلِ وَالمَحرومِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Lilssaili waalmahroomi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Lissaaa 'ili walmahroom |
| English (Pickthall) | For the beggar and the destitute; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | For the (needy) who asks and him who is prevented (for some reason from asking); |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | For the petitioner and the deprived - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Which they give to whoever asks them or doesn’t, but are deprived of sustenance for whatever reason. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | माँगनेवालों और वंचित का एक ज्ञात और निश्चित हक़ होता है, |

| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ يُصَدِّقونَ بِيَومِ الدّينِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena yusaddiqoona biyawmi alddeeni |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena yusaddiqoona bi yawmid Deen |
| English (Pickthall) | And those who believe in the Day of Judgment, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And those who hold to the truth of the Day of Judgment; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And those who believe in the Day of Recompense |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And those who believe in the Day of Judgement: the day Allah will requite everyone with whatever they deserve. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जो बदले के दिन को सत्य मानते है, |

| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ هُم مِن عَذابِ رَبِّهِم مُشفِقونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena hum min AAathabi rabbihim mushfiqoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena hum min 'azaabi Rabbihim mushfiqoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And those who are fearful of their Lord's doom - |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And those who fear the displeasure of their Lord,- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And those who are fearful of the punishment of their Lord - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And those who are fearful of the punishment of their Lord, despite having sent forth good deeds. |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ عَذابَ رَبِّهِم غَيرُ مَأمونٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna AAathaba rabbihim ghayru mamoonin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Inna 'azaaba Rabbihim ghairu maamoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! the doom of their Lord is that before which none can feel secure - |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | For their Lord's displeasure is the opposite of Peace and Tranquillity;- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, the punishment of their Lord is not that from which one is safe - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Indeed, no intelligent person feels safe from the punishment of his Lord. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उनके रब की यातना है ही ऐसी जिससे निश्चिन्त न रहा जाए - |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | बेशक उनको परवरदिगार के अज़ाब से बेख़ौफ न होना चाहिए |

| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ هُم لِفُروجِهِم حافِظونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena hum lifuroojihim hafithoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena hum lifuroo jihim haafizoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And those who preserve their chastity |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And those who guard their chastity, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And those who guard their private parts |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And those who safeguard their private parts by concealing them and keeping them away from shameful acts. |

| عَرَبِي | إِلّا عَلىٰ أَزواجِهِم أَو ما مَلَكَت أَيمانُهُم فَإِنَّهُم غَيرُ مَلومينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Illa AAala azwajihim aw ma malakat aymanuhum fainnahum ghayru maloomeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Illaa 'alaaa azwaajihim aw maa malakat aymaanuhum fainnahum ghairu maloomeen |
| English (Pickthall) | Save with their wives and those whom their right hands possess, for thus they are not blameworthy; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Except with their wives and the (captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (then) they are not to be blamed, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they are not to be blamed - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Except from their wives or the servant girls they possess, because they are not blameworthy in enjoying them through sexual intercourse or anything less. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | सिवाय अपनी पत्नियों और अपने स्वामित्व में आई हुई दासियों के। क्योंकि उनसे संभोग आदि से लाभ उठाने में उनपर कोई दोष नहीं है। |
| Ayah 31 |
| عَرَبِي | فَمَنِ ابتَغىٰ وَراءَ ذٰلِكَ فَأُولٰئِكَ هُمُ العادونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Famani ibtagha waraa thalika faolaika humu alAAadoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Famanib taghaa waraaa'a zaalika fa ulaaa'ika humul 'aadoon |
| English (Pickthall) | But whoso seeketh more than that, those are they who are transgressors; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But those who trespass beyond this are transgressors;- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But whoever seeks beyond that, then they are the transgressors - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Whoever seeks pleasure in other than whatever has been mentioned i.e. wives and servant girls, they are the ones who have transgressed the limits of Allah. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | किन्तु जिस किसी ने इसके अतिरिक्त कुछ और चाहा तो ऐसे ही लोग सीमा का उल्लंघन करनेवाले है।- |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो जो लोग उनके सिवा और के ख़ास्तगार हों तो यही लोग हद से बढ़ जाने वाले हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर जो उपर्युक्त पत्नियों और दासियों के अलावा से आनंद तलाश करे, तो वही लोग अल्लाह की सीमाओं का उल्लंघन करने वाले हैं। |
| Ayah 32 |
| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ هُم لِأَماناتِهِم وَعَهدِهِم راعونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena hum liamanatihim waAAahdihim raAAoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena hum li amaa naatihim wa 'ahdihim raa'oon |
| English (Pickthall) | And those who keep their pledges and their covenant, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And those who respect their trusts and covenants; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And those who are to their trusts and promises attentive |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And those who, when entrusted with wealth, secrets etc., or with agreements they enter into, they uphold them: neither betraying their trusts nor breaking their agreements. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जो अपने पास रखी गई अमानतों और अपनी प्रतिज्ञा का निर्वाह करते है, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जो लोग अपनी अमानतों और अहदों का लेहाज़ रखते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और जो लोग अपने पास अमानत रखे हुए धनों और भेदों आदि की तथा लोगों से की हुई अपनी प्रतिज्ञाओं की रक्षा करने वाले हैं। न तो उनकी अमानतों में ख़यानत करते हैं और न उनकी प्रतिज्ञाओं को तोड़ते हैं। |
| Ayah 33 |
| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ هُم بِشَهاداتِهِم قائِمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena hum bishahadatihim qaimoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena hum bishahaadaatihim qaaa'imoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And those who stand by their testimony |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And those who stand firm in their testimonies; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And those who are in their testimonies upright |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And those who give their testimonies in the manner sought from them, without being affected by relationships or enmity. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जो अपनी गवाहियों पर क़़ायम रहते है, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जो लोग अपनी यहादतों पर क़ायम रहते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और जो लोग अपेक्षित तरीक़े से अपनी गवाही देते हैं। न तो रिश्तेदारी और न ही दुश्मनी उनकी गवाही को प्रभावित करती है। |
| Ayah 34 |
| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذينَ هُم عَلىٰ صَلاتِهِم يُحافِظونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallatheena hum AAala salatihim yuhafithoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeena hum 'alaa salaatihim yuhaafizoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And those who are attentive at their worship. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And those who guard (the sacredness) of their worship;- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And those who [carefully] maintain their prayer: |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And those who are punctual in their prayers by performing them at their appropriate times, with due purity and composure, whilst not being distracted from them by anything. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जो लोग अपनी नमाज़ो का ख्याल रखते हैं |

| عَرَبِي | أُولٰئِكَ في جَنّاتٍ مُكرَمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Olaika fee jannatin mukramoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ulaaa'ika fee jannaatim mukramoon |
| English (Pickthall) | These will dwell in Gardens, honoured. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Such will be the honoured ones in the Gardens (of Bliss). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | They will be in gardens, honored. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those possessing the aforementioned qualities will be honoured in gardens, attaining everlasting favours and being able to see the blessed Face of Allah. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वही लोग जन्नतों में सम्मानपूर्वक रहेंगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | यही लोग बेहिश्त के बाग़ों में इज्ज़त से रहेंगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो लोग इन गुणों से विशिष्ट हैं, वे जन्नतों में सम्मानित हों। क्योंकि उन्हें स्थायी नेमतों का आनंद और अल्लाह के चेहरे के दीदार का सौभाग्य प्राप्त होगा। |

| عَرَبِي | فَمالِ الَّذينَ كَفَروا قِبَلَكَ مُهطِعينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Famali allatheena kafaroo qibalaka muhtiAAeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Famaa lil lazeena kafaroo qibalaka muhti'een |
| English (Pickthall) | What aileth those who disbelieve, that they keep staring toward thee (O Muhammad), open-eyed, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Now what is the matter with the Unbelievers that they rush madly before thee- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So what is [the matter] with those who disbelieve, hastening [from] before you, [O Muhammad], |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! What is it that has led these idolaters around you to reject you so quickly? |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | फिर उन इनकार करनेवालो को क्या हुआ है कि वे तुम्हारी ओर दौड़े चले आ रहे है? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो (ऐ रसूल) काफिरों को क्या हो गया है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल!) आपकी जाति के इन मुश्रिकों को किस चीज़ ने आकर्षित किया कि वे आपके चारों ओर आपको झुठलाने के लिए दौड़े चले आ रहे हैं?! |

| عَرَبِي | عَنِ اليَمينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمالِ عِزينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | AAani alyameeni waAAani alshshimali AAizeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | 'Anil yameeni wa 'anish shimaali 'izeen |
| English (Pickthall) | On the right and on the left, in groups? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | From the right and from the left, in crowds? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [To sit] on [your] right and [your] left in separate groups? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Surrounding you from your right and left, in groups upon groups. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | दाएँ और बाएँ से गिरोह के गिरोह |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | कि तुम्हारे पास गिरोह गिरोह दाहिने से बाएँ से दौड़े चले आ रहे हैं |

| Ayah 38 |
| عَرَبِي | أَيَطمَعُ كُلُّ امرِئٍ مِنهُم أَن يُدخَلَ جَنَّةَ نَعيمٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | AyatmaAAu kullu imriin minhum an yudkhala jannata naAAeemin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ayatma'u kullum ri'im minhum anyyudkhala jannata Na'eem |
| English (Pickthall) | Doth every man among them hope to enter the Garden of Delight? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Does every man of them long to enter the Garden of Bliss? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Does every person among them aspire to enter a garden of pleasure? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Do each of them hope that Allah will enter them into the garden of favours, wherein they shall live in luxury among the everlasting bounties, while they remain on their disbelief? |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | क्या उनमें से प्रत्येक व्यक्ति इसकी लालसा रखता है कि वह अनुकम्पा से परिपूर्ण जन्नत में प्रविष्ट हो? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | क्या इनमें से हर शख़्श इस का मुतमइनी है कि चैन के बाग़ (बेहिश्त) में दाख़िल होगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्या उनमें से हर आदमी यह आशा रखता है कि अल्लाह उसे नेमतों वाली जन्नत में दाख़िल करेगा, जिसमें वह उसकी सदाबहार नेमतों का आनंद लेगा, जबकि वह अपने कुफ़्र पर क़ायम है?! |
| Ayah 39 |
| عَرَبِي | كَلّا ۖ إِنّا خَلَقناهُم مِمّا يَعلَمونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Kalla inna khalaqnahum mimma yaAAlamoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Kallaaa innaa khalaq nahum mimmaa ya'lamoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Nay, verily. Lo! We created them from what they know. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | By no means! For We have created them out of the (base matter) they know! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | No! Indeed, We have created them from that which they know. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | It is not as they imagine. Indeed, I created them from what they know: I created them from a contemptible fluid, and they are weak: they are incapable of bringing benefit or harm for themselves, so how could they be arrogant? |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | कदापि नहीं, हमने उन्हें उस चीज़ से पैदा किया है, जिसे वे भली-भाँति जानते है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | हरगिज़ नहीं हमने उनको जिस (गन्दी) चीज़ से पैदा किया ये लोग जानते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | मामला वैसा नहीं है, जैसा कि उन्होंने कल्पना की है। निश्चय हमने उन्हें उस चीज़ से पैदा किया है, जिसे वे जानते हैं। हमने उन्हें एक तुच्छ पानी से पैदा किया है। अतः वे कमज़ोर हैं, अपने लिए लाभ या हानि के मालिक नहीं हैं। फिर उन्हें अभिमान कैसे शोभा देता है?! |
| Ayah 40 |
| عَرَبِي | فَلا أُقسِمُ بِرَبِّ المَشارِقِ وَالمَغارِبِ إِنّا لَقادِرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fala oqsimu birabbi almashariqi waalmagharibi inna laqadiroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Falaaa uqsimu bi Rabbil mashaariqi wal maghaaribi innaa laqaadiroon |
| English (Pickthall) | But nay! I swear by the Lord of the rising-places and the setting-places of the planets that We verily are Able |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Now I do call to witness the Lord of all points in the East and the West that We can certainly- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So I swear by the Lord of [all] risings and settings that indeed We are able |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Allah takes an oath on the Lord of the rising places of the sun and the moon. Indeed, Allah is the Capable. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अतः कुछ नहीं, मैं क़सम खाता हूँ पूर्वों और पश्चिमों के रब की, हमे इसकी सामर्थ्य प्राप्त है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो मैं मशरिकों और मग़रिबों के परवरदिगार की क़सम खाता हूँ कि हम ज़रूर इस बात की कुदरत रखते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अल्लाह सर्वशक्तिमान ने स्वयं अपनी क़सम खाई है, और वह सूर्य, चंद्रमा और शेष सभी ग्रहों के उदय एवं यास्त के स्थानों का स्वामी है, कि निःसंदेह हम निश्चय सामर्थ्यवान् हैं। |
| Ayah 41 |
| عَرَبِي | عَلىٰ أَن نُبَدِّلَ خَيرًا مِنهُم وَما نَحنُ بِمَسبوقينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | AAala an nubaddila khayran minhum wama nahnu bimasbooqeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | 'Alaaa an nubaddila khairam minhum wa maa Nahnu bimasbooqeen |
| English (Pickthall) | To replace them by (others) better than them. And we are not to be outrun. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Substitute for them better (men) than they; And We are not to be defeated (in Our Plan). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | To replace them with better than them; and We are not to be outdone. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | He is capable of destroying them and replacing them with others who obey Him; He is not incapable of doing so. Nor can He be overpowered when He intends to destroy them and replace them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | कि उनकी उनसे अच्छे ले आएँ और हम पिछड़ जानेवाले नहीं है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | कि उनके बदले उनसे बेहतर लोग ला (बसाएँ) और हम आजिज़ नहीं हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | कि उन्हें नष्ट करके उनके बदले में ऐसे लोगों को ले आएँ, जो अल्लाह का आज्ञापालन करने वाले हों। हम ऐसा करने में असमर्थ नहीं हैं, तथा जब भी हम उन्हें नष्ट करना चाहें और उन्हें दूसरों के साथ बदलना चाहें, तो हम ऐसा करने में विवश नहीं हैं। |
| Ayah 42 |
| عَرَبِي | فَذَرهُم يَخوضوا وَيَلعَبوا حَتّىٰ يُلاقوا يَومَهُمُ الَّذي يوعَدونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fatharhum yakhoodoo wayalAAaboo hatta yulaqoo yawmahumu allathee yooAAadoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fazarhum yakhoodoo wa yal'aboo hattaa yulaaqoo yaw mahumul lazee yoo'adoon |
| English (Pickthall) | So let them chat and play until they meet their Day which they are promised, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | So leave them to plunge in vain talk and play about, until they encounter that Day of theirs which they have been promised!- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So leave them to converse vainly and amuse themselves until they meet their Day which they are promised - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! So leave them to dive into the falsehood and deviance they are already in, and to amuse themselves in their worldly lives, until they encounter the Day of Judgement that they have been promised in the Qur’ān. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अतः उन्हें छोड़ो कि वे व्यर्थ बातों में पड़े रहें और खेलते रहे, यहाँ तक कि वे अपने उस दिन से मिलें, जिसका उनसे वादा किया जा रहा है, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो तुम उनको छोड़ दो कि बातिल में पड़े खेलते रहें यहाँ तक कि जिस दिन का उनसे वायदा किया जाता है उनके सामने आ मौजूद हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अतः (ऐ रसूल) आप उन्हें छोड़ दें कि वे अपने झूठ और गुमराही में पड़े रहें तथा अपने सांसारिक जीवन में खेलते रहें, यहाँ तक कि वे क़ियामत के दिन से जा मिलें, जिसका उनसे क़ुरआन में वादा किया जाता था। |
| Ayah 43 |
| عَرَبِي | يَومَ يَخرُجونَ مِنَ الأَجداثِ سِراعًا كَأَنَّهُم إِلىٰ نُصُبٍ يوفِضونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yawma yakhrujoona mina alajdathi siraAAan kaannahum ila nusubin yoofidoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yawma yakhrujoona minal ajdaasi siraa'an ka anna hum ilaa nusubiny yoofidoon |
| English (Pickthall) | The day when they come forth from the graves in haste, as racing to a goal, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The Day whereon they will issue from their sepulchres in sudden haste as if they were rushing to a goal-post (fixed for them),- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | The Day they will emerge from the graves rapidly as if they were, toward an erected idol, hastening. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | On the day when they shall leave their graves in a hurry, as if they are racing towards a banner. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | उसी दिन ये लोग कब्रों से निकल कर इस तरह दौड़ेंगे गोया वह किसी झन्डे की तरफ दौड़े चले जाते हैं |

| عَرَبِي | خاشِعَةً أَبصارُهُم تَرهَقُهُم ذِلَّةٌ ۚ ذٰلِكَ اليَومُ الَّذي كانوا يوعَدونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | KhashiAAatan absaruhum tarhaquhum thillatun thalika alyawmu allathee kanoo yooAAadoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Khaashi'atan absaaruhum tarhaquhum zillah; zaalikal yawmul lazee kaanoo yoo'adoon |
| English (Pickthall) | With eyes aghast, abasement stupefying them: Such is the Day which they are promised. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Their eyes lowered in dejection,- ignominy covering them (all over)! such is the Day the which they are promised! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. That is the Day which they had been promised. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Their eyes will be humiliated, and humiliation will envelop them. That is the day they were promised in the world, but they did not care about it. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (निदामत से) उनकी ऑंखें झुकी होंगी उन पर रूसवाई छाई हुई होगी ये वही दिन है जिसका उनसे वायदा किया जाता था |
