| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अल्लाह ने क़ियामत के दिन की क़सम खाई है, जिस दिन लोग सर्व संसार के पालनहार के सामने खड़े होंगे। |
| Ayah 2 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلا أُقسِمُ بِالنَّفسِ اللَّوّامَةِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wala oqsimu bialnnafsi allawwamati |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laaa uqsimu bin nafsil lawwaamah |
| English (Pickthall) | Nay, I swear by the accusing soul (that this Scripture is true). |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And I do call to witness the self-reproaching spirit: (Eschew Evil). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | He took an oath by the pure soul that reproaches its owner for falling short in righteous deeds and for doing wrong deeds. He took an oath by these two things that He will certainly resurrect people for reckoning and recompense. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और नहीं! मैं कसम खाता हूँ मलामत करनेवाली आत्मा की |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (और बुराई से) मलामत करने वाले जी की क़सम खाता हूँ (कि तुम सब दोबारा) ज़रूर ज़िन्दा किए जाओगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा अल्लाह ने अच्छी आत्मा की क़सम खाई है, जो इनसान को अच्छे काम में कोताही करने पर और बुरे कामों के करने पर मलामत (निंदा) करती है। अल्लाह ने इन दोनों चीज़ों की क़सम खाकर कहा है कि वह लोगों को हिसाब और बदले के लिए ज़रूर पुनर्जीवित करेगा। |

| عَرَبِي | أَيَحسَبُ الإِنسانُ أَلَّن نَجمَعَ عِظامَهُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ayahsabu alinsanu allan najmaAAa AAithamahu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ayahsabul insaanu al lan najm'a 'izaamah |
| English (Pickthall) | Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Does man think that I will not gather his bones to be resurrected after he dies?! |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | क्या मनुष्य यह समझता है कि हम कदापि उसकी हड्डियों को एकत्र न करेंगे? |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्या इनसान यह सोचता है कि पुनर्जीवित करने के लिए उसकी मृत्यु के बाद हम उसकी हड्डियों को इकट्ठा नहीं करेंगे?! |
| Ayah 4 |
| عَرَبِي | بَلىٰ قادِرينَ عَلىٰ أَن نُسَوِّيَ بَنانَهُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Bala qadireena AAala an nusawwiya bananahu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Balaa qaadireena 'alaaa an nusawwiya banaanah |
| English (Pickthall) | Yea, verily. We are Able to restore his very fingers! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Indeed, I am able together with gathering them to restore his fingertips in a proportionate form just as they were. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | क्यों नहीं, हम उसकी पोरों को ठीक-ठाक करने की सामर्थ्य रखते है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | हम इस पर क़ादिर हैं कि हम उसकी पोर पोर दुरूस्त करें |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्यों नहीं? हम उनको एकत्र करने के साथ-साथ, उसकी उँगलियों की पोरों को पहले की तरह बिलकुल ठीक करने की भी शक्ति रखते हैं। |
| Ayah 5 |
| عَرَبِي | بَل يُريدُ الإِنسانُ لِيَفجُرَ أَمامَهُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Bal yureedu alinsanu liyafjura amamahu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Bal yureedul insaanu liyafjura amaamah |
| English (Pickthall) | But man would fain deny what is before him. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But man desires to continue in sin. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | But man by his denial of the resurrection wants to continue sinning in the future unchecked. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | बल्कि मनुष्य चाहता है कि अपने आगे ढिठाई करता रहे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | मगर इन्सान तो ये जानता है कि अपने आगे भी (हमेशा) बुराई करता जाए |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | बल्कि इनसान मरणोपरांत दोबारा उठाए जाने का इनकार करके यह चाहता है कि वह आगे भी किसी रोक-टोक के बिना कुकर्म करता चला जाए। |

| عَرَبِي | يَسأَلُ أَيّانَ يَومُ القِيامَةِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yasalu ayyana yawmu alqiyamati |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yas'alu ayyyaana yawmul qiyaamah |
| English (Pickthall) | He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | He questions: "When is the Day of Resurrection?" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" |

| عَرَبِي | فَإِذا بَرِقَ البَصَرُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faitha bariqa albasaru |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa izaa bariqal basar |
| English (Pickthall) | But when sight is confounded |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | At length, when the sight is dazed, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So when vision is dazzled |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | When the sight is dazzled and astonished at the time when it sees what it used to deny. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | तो जब निगाह चौंधिया जाएगी, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो जब ऑंखे चकाचौन्ध में आ जाएँगी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जब आँख उस चीज़ को देखकर चौंधिया जाएगी और चकित रह जाएगी, जिसे वह दुनिया में झुठलाया करता था। |

| عَرَبِي | وَخَسَفَ القَمَرُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wakhasafa alqamaru |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa khasafal qamar |
| English (Pickthall) | And the moon is eclipsed |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And the moon is buried in darkness. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And the moon darkens |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And the light of the moon disappears. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और चन्द्रमा को ग्रहण लग जाएगा, |

| عَرَبِي | وَجُمِعَ الشَّمسُ وَالقَمَرُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | WajumiAAa alshshamsu waalqamaru |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa jumi'ash shamusu wal qamar |
| English (Pickthall) | And sun and moon are united, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And the sun and moon are joined together,- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And the sun and the moon are joined, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And the mass of the sun and the moon are brought together. |

| عَرَبِي | يَقولُ الإِنسانُ يَومَئِذٍ أَينَ المَفَرُّ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yaqoolu alinsanu yawmaithin ayna almafarru |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yaqoolul insaanu yaw ma 'izin aynal mafarr |
| English (Pickthall) | On that day man will cry: Whither to flee! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The sinning person will say on that day: Where is the escape?! |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उस दिन मनुष्य कहेगा, "कहाँ जाऊँ भागकर?" |

| Ayah 11 |
| عَرَبِي | كَلّا لا وَزَرَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Kalla la wazara |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Kallaa laa wazar |
| English (Pickthall) | Alas! No refuge! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | By no means! No place of safety! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | No! There is no refuge. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | There is no escape on that day and there is no place in which the sinner can take refuge nor any place that he can seek protection in. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | कुछ नहीं, कोई शरण-स्थल नहीं! |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | यक़ीन जानों कहीं पनाह नहीं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उस दिन भागने का कोई अवसर न होगा और न ही कोई शरण स्थल होगा, जहाँ कुकर्मी शरण ले सके और न कोई बचने का स्थान होगा, जहाँ पहुँचकर बच सके। |

| عَرَبِي | إِلىٰ رَبِّكَ يَومَئِذٍ المُستَقَرُّ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ila rabbika yawmaithin almustaqarru |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ilaa rabbika yawma 'izinil mustaqarr |
| English (Pickthall) | Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Before thy Lord (alone), that Day will be the place of rest. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The return and destination on that day will be to your Lord, O Messenger, for the reckoning and recompense. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उस दिन तुम्हारे रब ही ओर जाकर ठहरना है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | उस रोज़ तुम्हारे परवरदिगार ही के पास ठिकाना है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उस दिन (ऐ रसूल) तेरे पालनहार ही की ओर हिसाब और प्रतिफल के लिए लौटकर जाना होगा। |
| Ayah 13 |
| عَرَبِي | يُنَبَّأُ الإِنسانُ يَومَئِذٍ بِما قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yunabbao alinsanu yawmaithin bima qaddama waakhkhara |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yunabba 'ul insaanu yawma 'izim bimaa qaddama wa akhkhar |
| English (Pickthall) | On that day man is told the tale of that which he hath sent before and left behind. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | On the day man will be informed about the actions that he sent forward and those that he left behind. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उस दिन मनुष्य को बता दिया जाएगा जो कुछ उसने आगे बढाया और पीछे टाला |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | उस दिन आदमी को जो कुछ उसके आगे पीछे किया है बता दिया जाएगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उस दिन इनसान को उसके कर्मों के बारे में सूचित किया जाएगा कि क्या उसने आगे भेजा और क्या उसने पीछे छोड़ा। |
| Ayah 14 |
| عَرَبِي | بَلِ الإِنسانُ عَلىٰ نَفسِهِ بَصيرَةٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Bali alinsanu AAala nafsihi baseeratun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Balil insaanu 'alaa nafsihee baseerah |
| English (Pickthall) | Oh, but man is a telling witness against himself, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Nay, man will be evidence against himself, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Instead, man is a witness against himself as his limbs will testify against him in respect of the sins he committed. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | नहीं, बल्कि मनुष्य स्वयं अपने हाल पर निगाह रखता है, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | बल्कि इन्सान तो अपने ऊपर आप गवाह है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | बल्कि मनुष्य खुद के खिलाफ़ एक गवाह है, क्योंकि उसके शरीर के अंग उसके खिलाफ़ गवाही देंगे कि उसने क्या पाप किए हैं। |
| Ayah 15 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلَو أَلقىٰ مَعاذيرَهُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walaw alqa maAAatheerahu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa law alqaa ma'aazeerah |
| English (Pickthall) | Although he tender his excuses. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Even though he were to put up his excuses. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Even if he presents his excuses. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Even if he brings excuses to argue on behalf of himself that he did not do any evil, these will not benefit him. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | यद्यपि उसने अपने कितने ही बहाने पेश किए हो |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | अगरचे वह अपने गुनाहों की उज्र व ज़रूर माज़ेरत पढ़ा करता रहे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | यद्यपि वह तरह-तरह के बहाने पेश करके अपने बारे में यह तर्क दे कि उसने कुछ भी गलत नहीं किया है, लेकिन इसका उसे कुछ लाभ नहीं होगा। |
| Ayah 16 |
| عَرَبِي | لا تُحَرِّك بِهِ لِسانَكَ لِتَعجَلَ بِهِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | La tuharrik bihi lisanaka litaAAjala bihi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Laa tuharrik bihee lisaa naka lita'jala bih |
| English (Pickthall) | Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Move not your tongue with it, [O Muhammad], to hasten with recitation of the Qur'an. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Do not move your tongue, O Messenger, with the Qur’ān hastily for fear of its escaping from you. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | तू उसे शीघ्र पाने के लिए उसके प्रति अपनी ज़बान को न चला |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (ऐ रसूल) वही के जल्दी याद करने वास्ते अपनी ज़बान को हरकत न दो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल) क़ुरआन के साथ अपनी ज़ुबान को न हिलाएँ इस बात के लिए जल्दी करते हुए कि कहीं वह आपकी याददाश्त से निकल न जाए। |
| Ayah 17 |
| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ عَلَينا جَمعَهُ وَقُرآنَهُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna AAalayna jamAAahu waquranahu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Inna 'alainaa jam'ahoo wa qur aanah |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! upon Us (resteth) the putting together thereof and the reading thereof. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | It is My duty to gather it in your chest and to establish its recitation on your tongue. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | हमारे ज़िम्मे है उसे एकत्र करना और उसका पढ़ना, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | उसका जमा कर देना और पढ़वा देना तो यक़ीनी हमारे ज़िम्मे है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निश्चय यह काम हमारे ही ज़िम्मे है कि हम उसे आपके सीने में एकत्र कर दें और उसके पठन को आपकी ज़ुबान पर साबित कर दें। |
| Ayah 18 |
| عَرَبِي | فَإِذا قَرَأناهُ فَاتَّبِع قُرآنَهُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faitha qaranahu faittabiAA quranahu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa izaa qaraanaahu fattabi' qur aanah |
| English (Pickthall) | And when We read it, follow thou the reading; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its recital (as promulgated): |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | When Gabriel has completed its recitation to you, then be attentive and listen to its being recited. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अतः जब हम उसे पढ़े तो उसके पठन का अनुसरण कर, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो जब हम उसको (जिबरील की ज़बानी) पढ़ें तो तुम भी (पूरा) सुनने के बाद इसी तरह पढ़ा करो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अतः जब हमारे संदेष्टा जिबरील उसे आपके सामने पढ़ें, तो आप उसके पठन को कान लगाकर सुनें और ख़ामोश रहें। |
| Ayah 19 |
| عَرَبِي | ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَينا بَيانَهُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Thumma inna AAalayna bayanahu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Summa inna 'alainaa bayaanah |
| English (Pickthall) | Then lo! upon Us (resteth) the explanation thereof. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Then upon Us is its clarification [to you]. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Then, it is My duty to explain it to you. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | फिर हमारे ज़िम्मे है उसका स्पष्टीकरण करना |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | फिर उस (के मुश्किलात का समझा देना भी हमारे ज़िम्में है) |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर उसकी व्याख्या करना और आपको उसका अर्थ बताना भी हमारी ज़िम्मेदारी है। |
| Ayah 20 |
| عَرَبِي | كَلّا بَل تُحِبّونَ العاجِلَةَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Kalla bal tuhibboona alAAajilata |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Kallaa bal tuhibboonal 'aajilah |
| English (Pickthall) | Nay, but ye do love the fleeting Now |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | No! But you love the immediate |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Nay, the matter is not as you claimed about the impossibility of resurrection. You know that the One Who was able to create you the first time is not unable to bring you back to life after you die. However, the reason for your denial of resurrection, is your love for the fleeting life of the world. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | कुछ नहीं, बल्कि तुम लोग शीघ्र मिलनेवाली चीज़ (दुनिया) से प्रेम रखते हो, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | मगर (लोगों) हक़ तो ये है कि तुम लोग दुनिया को दोस्त रखते हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हरगिज़ नहीं, मामला वैसा नहीं है, जैसा तुमने मरणोपरांत पुनर्जीवित होने की असंभवता का दावा किया है। क्योंकि तुम खुद जानते हो कि जो तुम्हें शुरुआत में पैदा करने में सक्षम है, वह तुम्हारी मृत्यु के बाद तुम्हें पुनर्जीवित करने में असमर्थ नहीं होगा। लेकिन तुम्हारे मरणोपरांत पुनर्जीवित होकर उठने के इनकार का कारण इस नश्वर दुनिया से तुम्हारा प्यार है। |
| Ayah 21 |
| عَرَبِي | وَتَذَرونَ الآخِرَةَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Watatharoona alakhirata |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa tazaroonal Aakhirah |
| English (Pickthall) | And neglect the Hereafter. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And leave alone the Hereafter. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And leave the Hereafter. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And your disregard for the life of the afterlife, the path of which is to carry out the acts of obedience that Allah has instructed you to and to leave the unlawful acts that He has prohibited you from. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और आख़िरत को छोड़ रहे हो |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और आख़ेरत को छोड़े बैठे हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा तुम्हारा आख़िरत के जीवन को छोड़ देना है, जिसका रास्ता अल्लाह के आदेशों का पालन करना और उसकी हराम की हुई चीज़ों से बचना है। |
| Ayah 22 |
| عَرَبِي | وُجوهٌ يَومَئِذٍ ناضِرَةٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wujoohun yawmaithin nadiratun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wujoohuny yawma 'izin naadirah |
| English (Pickthall) | That day will faces be resplendent, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The faces of the people of faith and fortune on that day will be radiant with light. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | किनते ही चहरे उस दिन तरो ताज़ा और प्रफुल्लित होंगे, |

| Ayah 23 |
| عَرَبِي | إِلىٰ رَبِّها ناظِرَةٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ila rabbiha nathiratun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ilaa rabbihaa naazirah |
| English (Pickthall) | Looking toward their Lord; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Looking towards their Lord; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Looking at their Lord. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Looking at their Lord with enjoyment. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अपने रब की ओर देख रहे होंगे। |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (और) अपने परवरदिगार (की नेअमत) को देख रहे होंगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वे अपने रब की ओर देख रहे होंगे और उससे आनंदित हो रहे होंगे। |
| Ayah 24 |
| عَرَبِي | وَوُجوهٌ يَومَئِذٍ باسِرَةٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wawujoohun yawmaithin basiratun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa wujoohuny yawma 'izim baasirah |
| English (Pickthall) | And that day will other faces be despondent, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The faces of the people of disbelief and wretchedness on that day will be gloomy. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और कितने ही चेहरे उस दिन उदास और बिगड़े हुए होंगे, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और बहुतेरे मुँह उस दिन उदास होंगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और काफ़िरों तथा दुर्भाग्यशाली लोगों के चेहरे उस दिन बिगड़े हुए होंगे। |
| Ayah 25 |
| عَرَبِي | تَظُنُّ أَن يُفعَلَ بِها فاقِرَةٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Tathunnu an yufAAala biha faqiratun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Tazunnu any yuf'ala bihaa faaqirah |
| English (Pickthall) | Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | In the thought that some back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Expecting that there will be done to them [something] backbreaking. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They will be sure that a great punishment and painful punishment is to come down on them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | समझ रहे होंगे कि उनके साथ कमर तोड़ देनेवाला मामला किया जाएगा |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | समझ रहें हैं कि उन पर मुसीबत पड़ने वाली है कि कमर तोड़ देगी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उन्हें विश्वास होगा कि उनपर बड़ी सज़ा और दर्दनाक यातना उतरने वाली है। |
| Ayah 26 |
| عَرَبِي | كَلّا إِذا بَلَغَتِ التَّراقِيَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Kalla itha balaghati alttaraqiya |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Kallaaa izaa balaghatit taraaqee |
| English (Pickthall) | Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | No! When the soul has reached the collar bones |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The matter is not as the idolaters imagined - that they will not be punished when they die. When the soul of any one of them reaches the upper part of his chest. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | कुछ नहीं, जब प्राण कंठ को आ लगेंगे, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | सुन लो जब जान (बदन से खिंच के) हँसली तक आ पहुँचेगी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | मामला वैसा नहीं है, जैसा मुश्रिकों ने समझ लिया है कि जब वे मर जाएँगे तो उन्हें यातना का सामना नहीं होगा। जब तुममें से किसी का प्राण उसके सीने के ऊपरी भाग (हँसली) तक पहुँच जाएगा। |
| Ayah 27 |
| عَرَبِي | وَقيلَ مَن ۜ راقٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waqeela man raqin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa qeela man raaq |
| English (Pickthall) | And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And it is said, "Who will cure [him]?" |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And people say to one another: Who can heal this person, perhaps he can be cured?! |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और कहा जाएगा, "कौन है झाड़-फूँक करनेवाला?" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और कहा जाएगा कि (इस वक्त) क़ोई झाड़ फूँक करने वाला है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और कुछ लोग एक-दूसरे से कहेंगे : कौन इसकी झाड़-फूँक करेगा, शायद वह ठीक हो जाए!? |
| Ayah 28 |
| عَرَبِي | وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ الفِراقُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wathanna annahu alfiraqu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa zanna annahul firaaq |
| English (Pickthall) | And he knoweth that it is the parting; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The person in agony will be certain at that time that this is the departure from the world by death. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और वह समझ लेगा कि वह जुदाई (का समय) है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और मरने वाले ने समझा कि अब (सबसे) जुदाई है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और जो उस समय मरणासन्न दशा में होगा, उसे विश्वास हो जाएगा कि यह मौत के द्वारा दुनिया से जुदाई की घड़ी है। |
| Ayah 29 |
| عَرَبِي | وَالتَفَّتِ السّاقُ بِالسّاقِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wailtaffati alssaqu bialssaqi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Waltaffatis saaqu bissaaq |
| English (Pickthall) | And agony is heaped on agony; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And one leg will be joined with another: |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And the leg is wound about the leg, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Difficulties will come together at the time when the world ends and the afterlife commences. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और पिंडली से पिंडली लिपट जाएगी, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और (मौत की तकलीफ़ से) पिन्डली से पिन्डली लिपट जाएगी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | इस दुनिया के अंत और इसके बाद की दुनिया (आख़रित) की शुरुआत में कठिनाइयाँ एकत्र हो जाएँगी। |
| Ayah 30 |
| عَرَبِي | إِلىٰ رَبِّكَ يَومَئِذٍ المَساقُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ila rabbika yawmaithin almasaqu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ilaa rabbika yawma'izinil masaaq |
| English (Pickthall) | Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | That Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | When this occurs, the deceased will be driven to his Lord. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | तुम्हारे रब की ओर उस दिन प्रस्थान होगा |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | उस दिन तुमको अपने परवरदिगार की बारगाह में चलना है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ऐसा घटित होने पर मृतक को उसके पालनहार के पास ले जाया जाएगा। |
| Ayah 31 |
| عَرَبِي | فَلا صَدَّقَ وَلا صَلّىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fala saddaqa wala salla |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Falaa saddaqa wa laa sallaa |
| English (Pickthall) | For he neither trusted, nor prayed. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | So he gave nothing in charity, nor did he pray!- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And the disbeliever had not believed, nor had he prayed. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The disbeliever did not accept what his messenger brought to him, nor did he pray to Allah, may He be glorified. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | किन्तु उसने न तो सत्य माना और न नमाज़ अदा की, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो उसने (ग़फलत में) न (कलामे ख़ुदा की) तसदीक़ की न नमाज़ पढ़ी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | काफ़िर ने न तो रसूल सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम के लाए हुए संदेश को सत्य माना, और न सर्वशक्तिमान अल्लाह के लिए नमाज़ पढ़ी। |
| Ayah 32 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلٰكِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلّىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Walakin kaththaba watawalla |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laakin kazzaba wa tawalla |
| English (Pickthall) | But he denied and flouted. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But on the contrary, he rejected Truth and turned away! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But [instead], he denied and turned away. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Instead, he denied what his messenger brought to him and turned away from it. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | लेकिन झुठलाया और मुँह मोड़ा, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | मगर झुठलाया और (ईमान से) मुँह फेरा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | लेकिन उसने रसूल के लाए हुए संदेश को झुठलाया और उससे दूर हो गया। |
| Ayah 33 |
| عَرَبِي | ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلىٰ أَهلِهِ يَتَمَطّىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Thumma thahaba ila ahlihi yatamatta |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Summa zahaba ilaaa ahlihee yatamatta |
| English (Pickthall) | Then went he to his folk with glee. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Then did he stalk to his family in full conceit! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And then he went to his people, swaggering [in pride]. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Then this disbeliever went to his family swaggering in his gait out of pride. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | फिर अकड़ता हुआ अपने लोगों की ओर चल दिया |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | अपने घर की तरफ इतराता हुआ चला |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर यह काफ़िर अहंकार से अकड़ता हुआ अपने परिवार के पास गया। |
| Ayah 34 |
| عَرَبِي | أَولىٰ لَكَ فَأَولىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Awla laka faawla |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Awlaa laka fa awlaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Nearer unto thee and nearer, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Woe to thee, (O men!), yea, woe! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Woe to you, and woe! |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Allah thus warned the disbeliever that His punishment has come close to him. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अफ़सोस है तुझपर और अफ़सोस है! |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | अफसोस है तुझ पर फिर अफसोस है फिर तुफ़ है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | इसलिए अल्लाह ने काफ़िर को धमकी दी कि अल्लाह की यातना उसके निकट आ चुकी है। |
| Ayah 35 |
| عَرَبِي | ثُمَّ أَولىٰ لَكَ فَأَولىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Thumma awla laka faawla |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Summa awlaa laka fa awla |
| English (Pickthall) | Again nearer unto thee and nearer (is the doom). |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Again, Woe to thee, (O men!), yea, woe! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Then woe to you, and woe! |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | He then repeated the sentence by way of emphasis and stated: “Again, closer and closer it comes to you.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | फिर अफ़सोस है तुझपर और अफ़सोस है! |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तुझ पर फिर तुफ़ है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर अल्लाह ने बल देने के लिए इस वाक्य को दोहराया। चुनाँचे फरमाया : ''फि तेरे लिए विनाश है, फिर तेरे लिए बर्बादी है।'' |
| Ayah 36 |
| عَرَبِي | أَيَحسَبُ الإِنسانُ أَن يُترَكَ سُدًى |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ayahsabu alinsanu an yutraka sudan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ayahsabul insaanu anyytraka sudaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Thinketh man that he is to be left aimless? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Does man think that he will be left uncontrolled, (without purpose)? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Does man think that he will be left neglected? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Does man think that Allah will leave him neglected without imposing any laws on him? |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | क्या मनुष्य समझता है कि वह यूँ ही स्वतंत्र छोड़ दिया जाएगा? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | क्या इन्सान ये समझता है कि वह यूँ ही छोड़ दिया जाएगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्या इनसान यह समझता है कि अल्लाह उसे शरीयत का बाध्य किए बिना यूँ ही बेकार छोड़ देगा?! |
| Ayah 37 |
| عَرَبِي | أَلَم يَكُ نُطفَةً مِن مَنِيٍّ يُمنىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Alam yaku nutfatan min manayyin yumna |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Alam yaku nutfatam mim maniyyiny yumnaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Was he not a drop of fluid which gushed forth? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Was he not a drop of sperm emitted (in lowly form)? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Had he not been a sperm from semen emitted? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Was this human being one day not a drop of sperm spilt into the womb. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | क्या वह केवल टपकाए हुए वीर्य की एक बूँद न था? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | क्या वह (इब्तेदन) मनी का एक क़तरा न था जो रहम में डाली जाती है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्या यह इनसान किसी दिन गर्भाशय में गिराए जाने वाले वीर्य की एक बूँद नहीं था?! |
| Ayah 38 |
| عَرَبِي | ثُمَّ كانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوّىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Thumma kana AAalaqatan fakhalaqa fasawwa |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Summa kaana 'alaqata fakhalaq fasawwaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Then he became a clot; then (Allah) shaped and fashioned |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Then did he become a leech-like clot; then did (Allah) make and fashion (him) in due proportion. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Then he was a clinging clot, and [Allah] created [his form] and proportioned [him] |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Thereafter he was a piece of coagulated blood. Then Allah created him and made his form proportionate. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | फिर वह रक्त की एक फुटकी हुआ, फिर अल्लाह ने उसे रूप दिया और उसके अंग-प्रत्यंग ठीक-ठाक किए |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | फिर लोथड़ा हुआ फिर ख़ुदा ने उसे बनाया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर उसके बाद वह जमे हुए रक्त का टुकड़ा हो गया, फिर अल्लाह ने उसे पैदा किया और उसकी रचना को ठीक-ठाक बनाया। |
| Ayah 39 |
| عَرَبِي | فَجَعَلَ مِنهُ الزَّوجَينِ الذَّكَرَ وَالأُنثىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | FajaAAala minhu alzzawjayni alththakara waalontha |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Faja'ala minhuz zawjayniz zakara wal unsaa |
| English (Pickthall) | And made of him a pair, the male and female. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And of him He made two sexes, male and female. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And made of him two mates, the male and the female. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Then he made his species into two types: Male and female?! |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और उसकी दो जातियाँ बनाई - पुरुष और स्त्री |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | फिर उसे दुरूस्त किया फिर उसकी दो किस्में बनायीं (एक) मर्द और (एक) औरत |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर उसने उसकी जाति से दो प्रकार : नर और मादा बनाए। |
| Ayah 40 |
| عَرَبِي | أَلَيسَ ذٰلِكَ بِقادِرٍ عَلىٰ أَن يُحيِيَ المَوتىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Alaysa thalika biqadirin AAala an yuhyiya almawta |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Alaisa zaalika biqaadirin 'alaaa any yuhyiyal mawtaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Is not He (Who doeth so) Able to bring the dead to life? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Has not He, (the same), the power to give life to the dead? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Is not that [Creator] Able to give life to the dead? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Is not the One Who created man from a drop, then a clot, able to give life once again to the dead for the reckoning and recompense?! Indeed, He is able to do so. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | क्या उसे वह सामर्थ्य प्राप्त- नहीं कि वह मुर्दों को जीवित कर दे? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | क्या इस पर क़ादिर नहीं कि (क़यामत में) मुर्दों को ज़िन्दा कर दे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्या जिसने मनुष्य को वीर्य फिर जमे हुए रक्त से पैदा किया, वह मरे हुए लोगों को हिसाब और बदले के लिए पुन: जीवित करने में सक्षम नहीं है?! क्यों नहीं, निश्चय वह अवश्य सक्षम है। |
