| عَرَبِي | وَإِذَا القُبورُ بُعثِرَت |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waitha alqubooru buAAthirat |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa izal qubooru bu'sirat |
| English (Pickthall) | And the sepulchres are overturned, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And when the Graves are turned upside down;- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | When the soil of graves is turned over to resurrect the dead in them. |

| عَرَبِي | عَلِمَت نَفسٌ ما قَدَّمَت وَأَخَّرَت |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | AAalimat nafsun ma qaddamat waakhkharat |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | 'Alimat nafsum maa qaddamat wa akhkharat |
| English (Pickthall) | A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | At that time, every soul will know the actions it sent forward and those it left behind and did not do. |

| عَرَبِي | يا أَيُّهَا الإِنسانُ ما غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الكَريمِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ya ayyuha alinsanu ma gharraka birabbika alkareemi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yaaa ayyuhal insaaanu maa gharraka bi Rabbikal kareem |
| English (Pickthall) | O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O man who has rejected his Lord! What has made you go against the instruction of your Lord when He gave you respite and did not punish you quickly, as a favour from Him?! |

| عَرَبِي | الَّذي خَلَقَكَ فَسَوّاكَ فَعَدَلَكَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Allathee khalaqaka fasawwaka faAAadalaka |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Allazee khalaqaka fasaw waaka fa'adalak |
| English (Pickthall) | Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The One Who gave you existence after you were non-existent, and Who proportioned and balanced your limbs. |

| عَرَبِي | في أَيِّ صورَةٍ ما شاءَ رَكَّبَكَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fee ayyi sooratin ma shaa rakkabaka |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Feee ayye sooratim maa shaaa'a rakkabak |
| English (Pickthall) | Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | In whatever form He wished to create you, He created you. He favoured you as He did not create you in the form of a donkey, monkey, dog or other form. |

| عَرَبِي | كَلّا بَل تُكَذِّبونَ بِالدّينِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Kalla bal tukaththiboona bialddeeni |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Kalla bal tukazziboona bid deen |
| English (Pickthall) | Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | No! But you deny the Recompense. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O you who are deceived, the matter is not as you thought! In fact, you deny the day of recompense and do not work for it. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | कुछ नहीं, बल्कि तुम बदला दिए जाने का झुठलाते हो |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | हाँ बात ये है कि तुम लोग जज़ा (के दिन) को झुठलाते हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ धोखे में पड़े हुए लोगो) मामला ऐसा नहीं है, जैसा तुमने समझ रखा है। बल्कि सच्चाई यह है कि तुम बदले के दिन को झुठलाते हो, इसलिए उसके लिए तैयारी नहीं करते हो। |

| عَرَبِي | وَإِنَّ عَلَيكُم لَحافِظينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wainna AAalaykum lahafitheena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa inna 'alaikum lahaa fizeen |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! there are above you guardians, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Over you are angels who record your deeds. |

| English (Yusuf Ali) | Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): |

| عَرَبِي | يَعلَمونَ ما تَفعَلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | YaAAlamoona ma tafAAaloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ya'lamoona ma taf'aloon |
| English (Pickthall) | Who know (all) that ye do. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They know (and understand) all that ye do. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | They know whatever you do. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They know of every action you do and they write it down. |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ الأَبرارَ لَفي نَعيمٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna alabrara lafee naAAeemin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innal abraara lafee na'eem |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who do abundant acts of good and obedience will be in everlasting bliss on the day of judgment. |

| عَرَبِي | وَإِنَّ الفُجّارَ لَفي جَحيمٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wainna alfujjara lafee jaheemin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa innal fujjaara lafee jaheem |
| English (Pickthall) | And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who committed iniquity will be in a fire that will be burned over them. |

| عَرَبِي | يَصلَونَها يَومَ الدّينِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yaslawnaha yawma alddeeni |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yaslawnahaa Yawmad Deen |
| English (Pickthall) | They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They will enter it on the day of recompense and suffer from its heat. |

| عَرَبِي | وَما هُم عَنها بِغائِبينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wama hum AAanha bighaibeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa maa hum 'anhaa bighaaa 'ibeen |
| English (Pickthall) | And will not be absent thence. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And never therefrom will they be absent. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They will never be absent from it. Instead they will remain in it forever. |

| English (Pickthall) | Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Summa maaa adraaka maa Yawmud Deen |

| عَرَبِي | يَومَ لا تَملِكُ نَفسٌ لِنَفسٍ شَيئًا ۖ وَالأَمرُ يَومَئِذٍ لِلَّهِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yawma la tamliku nafsun linafsin shayan waalamru yawmaithin lillahi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yawma laa tamliku nafsul linafsin shai'anw walamru yawma'izil lillaah |
| English (Pickthall) | A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | A day when no one will be able to benefit anyone. The entire matter on that day will belong to Allah alone, to deal as He wishes, and not to anyone besides Him. |
