| عَرَبِي | إِذا زُلزِلَتِ الأَرضُ زِلزالَها |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Itha zulzilati alardu zilzalaha |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Izaa zul zilatil ardu zil zaalaha |
| English (Pickthall) | When Earth is shaken with her (final) earthquake |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | When the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | When the earth will be shaken vigorously, which will happen to it on the Day of Judgement. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जब धरती इस प्रकार हिला डाली जाएगी जैसा उसे हिलाया जाना है, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जब ज़मीन बड़े ज़ोरों के साथ ज़लज़ले में आ जाएगी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जब क़ियामत के दिन धरती को ज़ोर-ज़ोर से हिलाया जाएगा। |
| Ayah 2 |
| عَرَبِي | وَأَخرَجَتِ الأَرضُ أَثقالَها |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waakhrajati alardu athqalaha |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa akh rajatil ardu athqaalaha |
| English (Pickthall) | And Earth yieldeth up her burdens, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And the earth throws up her burdens (from within), |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And the earth discharges its burdens |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And the earth will remove everything from within itself, i.e. the dead and other things. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और धरती अपने बोझ बाहर निकाल देगी, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और ज़मीन अपने अन्दर के बोझे (मादनयात मुर्दे वग़ैरह) निकाल डालेगी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और जब धरती अपने अंदर मौजूद मुर्दों एवं अन्य वस्तुओं को निकाल बाहर करेगी। |
| Ayah 3 |
| عَرَبِي | وَقالَ الإِنسانُ ما لَها |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waqala alinsanu ma laha |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa qaalal insaanu ma laha |
| English (Pickthall) | And man saith: What aileth her? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And man says, "What is [wrong] with it?" - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And the human will say, confused: “What is the matter with the earth, that it is moving and shaking?” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और मनुष्य कहेगा, "उसे क्या हो गया है?" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और एक इन्सान कहेगा कि उसको क्या हो गया है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और इनसान हैरान होकर कहेगा : क्या बात है कि धरती हिल रही है और काँप रही है?! |
| Ayah 4 |
| عَرَبِي | يَومَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخبارَها |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yawmaithin tuhaddithu akhbaraha |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yawmaa izin tuhad dithu akhbaaraha |
| English (Pickthall) | That day she will relate her chronicles, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | On that Day will she declare her tidings: |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | That Day, it will report its news |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | On that great day, the earth will inform regarding the good and evil deeds that were committed upon it. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उस दिन वह अपना वृत्तांत सुनाएगी, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | उस रोज़ वह अपने सब हालात बयान कर देगी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उस महान दिन पर धरती, उसपर जो अच्छाई और बुराई की गई है, उसे बयान कर देगी। |
| Ayah 5 |
| عَرَبِي | بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوحىٰ لَها |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Bianna rabbaka awha laha |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Bi-anna rabbaka awhaa laha |
| English (Pickthall) | Because thy Lord inspireth her. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | For that thy Lord will have given her inspiration. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Because your Lord has commanded it. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Because Allah will have taught it and commanded it to do so. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | इस कारण कि तुम्हारे रब ने उसे यही संकेत किया होगा |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | क्योंकि तुम्हारे परवरदिगार ने उसको हुक्म दिया होगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्योंकि अल्लाह ने उसे ऐसा करने का आदेश दिया होगा। |
| Ayah 6 |
| عَرَبِي | يَومَئِذٍ يَصدُرُ النّاسُ أَشتاتًا لِيُرَوا أَعمالَهُم |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yawmaithin yasduru alnnasu ashtatan liyuraw aAAmalahum |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yawma iziy yas durun naasu ash tatal liyuraw a'maalahum |
| English (Pickthall) | That day mankind will issue forth in scattered groups to be shown their deeds. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | On that Day will men proceed in companies sorted out, to be shown the deeds that they (had done). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | On that great day on which the earth will quake, the humans will come to of the place of reckoning in groups, to see the deeds they committed in the world. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उस दिन लोग अलग-अलग निकलेंगे, ताकि उन्हें कर्म दिखाए जाएँ |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | उस दिन लोग गिरोह गिरोह (अपनी कब्रों से) निकलेंगे ताकि अपने आमाल को देखे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उस महान दिन में, जब धरती ज़ोर-ज़ोर से हिलाई जाएगी, लोग हिसाब के स्थान से समूहों में निकलेंगे, ताकि वे दुनिया में अपने किए हुए कामों को देखें। |
| Ayah 7 |
| عَرَبِي | فَمَن يَعمَل مِثقالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيرًا يَرَهُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faman yaAAmal mithqala tharratin khayran yarahu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Famaiy ya'mal mithqala zarratin khai raiy-yarah |
| English (Pickthall) | And whoso doeth good an atom's weight will see it then, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Then shall anyone who has done an atom's weight of good, see it! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So whoever did a good or righteous deed equal to the weight of a small ant, will see it in front of him. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अतः जो कोई कणभर भी नेकी करेगा, वह उसे देख लेगा, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो जिस शख्स ने ज़र्रा बराबर नेकी की वह उसे देख लेगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तो जिसने एक छोटी चींटी के वज़न के बराबर भी नेकी और भलाई का काम किया होगा, उसे अपने सामने देखेगा। |
| Ayah 8 |
| عَرَبِي | وَمَن يَعمَل مِثقالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waman yaAAmal mithqala tharratin sharran yarahu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa maiy-y'amal mithqala zarratin sharraiy-yarah |
| English (Pickthall) | And whoso doeth ill an atom's weight will see it then. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And anyone who has done an atom's weight of evil, shall see it. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And whoever did an evil deed equal to that, will see that in front of him also. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और जो कोई कणभर भी बुराई करेगा, वह भी उसे देख लेगा |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जिस शख्स ने ज़र्रा बराबर बदी की है तो उसे देख लेगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा जिसने एक छोटी चींटी के वज़न के बराबर भी बुरा काम किया होगा, उसे अपने सामने देखेगा। |
