| عَرَبِي | لَم يَكُنِ الَّذينَ كَفَروا مِن أَهلِ الكِتابِ وَالمُشرِكينَ مُنفَكّينَ حَتّىٰ تَأتِيَهُمُ البَيِّنَةُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Lam yakuni allatheena kafaroo min ahli alkitabi waalmushrikeena munfakkeena hatta tatiyahumu albayyinatu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Lam ya kunil lazeena kafaru min ahlil kitaabi wal mushri keena mun fak keena hattaa ta-tiya humul bayyinah |
| English (Pickthall) | Those who disbelieve among the People of the Scripture and the idolaters could not have left off (erring) till the clear proof came unto them, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who reject (Truth), among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, were not going to depart (from their ways) until there should come to them Clear Evidence,- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Those who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists were not to be parted [from misbelief] until there came to them clear evidence - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who disbelieved, from the Jews, the Christians and the idolaters, are not going to break their consensus and agreement on disbelief, until a clear proof and manifest evidence comes to them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | किताबवालों और मुशरिकों (बहुदेववादियों) में से जिन लोगों ने इनकार किया वे कुफ़्र (इनकार) से अलग होनेवाले नहीं जब तक कि उनके पास स्पष्ट प्रमाण न आ जाए; |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | अहले किताब और मुशरिकों से जो लोग काफिर थे जब तक कि उनके पास खुली हुई दलीलें न पहुँचे वह (अपने कुफ्र से) बाज़ आने वाले न थे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | यहूदियों, ईसाइयों और मुश्रिकों में से जिन लोगों ने कुफ़्र किया, वे कुफ़्र पर अपनी सर्वसम्मति और एकजुटता से हटने वाले नहीं थे, जब तक कि उनके पास एक स्पष्ट प्रमाण और एक स्पष्ट तर्क न आ जाए। |

| عَرَبِي | رَسولٌ مِنَ اللَّهِ يَتلو صُحُفًا مُطَهَّرَةً |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Rasoolun mina Allahi yatloo suhufan mutahharatan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Rasoolum minal laahi yatlu suhufam mutahharah |
| English (Pickthall) | A messenger from Allah, reading purified pages |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | An messenger from Allah, rehearsing scriptures kept pure and holy: |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | This clear proof and manifest evidence is a Messenger from Allah whom He has sent, and who recites pure scriptures, only the purest of beings may touch them. |

| عَرَبِي | فيها كُتُبٌ قَيِّمَةٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Feeha kutubun qayyimatun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Feeha kutubun qaiyimah |
| English (Pickthall) | Containing correct scriptures. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Wherein are laws (or decrees) right and straight. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Within which are correct writings. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | In those scriptures is true information and fair rulings, which guide the people towards that in which lies their righteousness and decency. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | उनमें (जो) पुरज़ोर और दरूस्त बातें लिखी हुई हैं (सुनाये) |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उन सहीफ़ों में सच्ची ख़बरें और ठीक आदेश अंकित हैं, जो लोगों का उस चीज़ की ओर मार्गदर्शन करते हैं जिसमें उनकी भलाई और हिदायत है। |
| Ayah 4 |
| عَرَبِي | وَما تَفَرَّقَ الَّذينَ أوتُوا الكِتابَ إِلّا مِن بَعدِ ما جاءَتهُمُ البَيِّنَةُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wama tafarraqa allatheena ootoo alkitaba illa min baAAdi ma jaathumu albayyinatu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa maa tafarraqal lazeena ootul kitaaba il-la mim b'adi ma jaa-at humul baiyyinah |
| English (Pickthall) | Nor were the People of the Scripture divided until after the clear proof came unto them. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Nor did the People of the Book make schisms, until after there came to them Clear Evidence. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Nor did those who were given the Scripture become divided until after there had come to them clear evidence. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The Jews who were given the Torah and the Christians who were given the Gospel, did not disagree except after Allah sent His Prophet to them. There were some who became Muslims, and others who persisted in their disbelief despite knowing of the truth of their Prophet. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | यहूदी जिन्हें तौरात दिया गया था और ईसाई जिन्हें इंजील दिया गया था, वे अल्लाह के उनकी ओर अपने नबी को भेजने के बाद ही अलग हुए थे। चुनाँचे उनमें से कुछ ने इस्लाम धर्म अपना लिया और उनमें से कुछ अपने नबी की सच्चाई जानते हुए भी अपने कुफ़्र पर क़ायम रहे। |
| Ayah 5 |
| عَرَبِي | وَما أُمِروا إِلّا لِيَعبُدُوا اللَّهَ مُخلِصينَ لَهُ الدّينَ حُنَفاءَ وَيُقيمُوا الصَّلاةَ وَيُؤتُوا الزَّكاةَ ۚ وَذٰلِكَ دينُ القَيِّمَةِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wama omiroo illa liyaAAbudoo Allaha mukhliseena lahu alddeena hunafaa wayuqeemoo alssalata wayutoo alzzakata wathalika deenu alqayyimati |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa maa umiroo il-la liy'abu dul laaha mukhliseena lahud-deena huna faa-a wa yuqeemus salaahta wa yu-tuz zakaata; wa zaalika deenul qaiyimah |
| English (Pickthall) | And they are ordered naught else than to serve Allah, keeping religion pure for Him, as men by nature upright, and to establish worship and to pay the poor-due. That is true religion. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And they have been commanded no more than this: To worship Allah, offering Him sincere devotion, being true (in faith); to establish regular prayer; and to practise regular charity; and that is the Religion Right and Straight. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And they were not commanded except to worship Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion, inclining to truth, and to establish prayer and to give zakah. And that is the correct religion. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The criminality and stubbornness of the Jews and the Christians is evident, in that they have not been commanded in this Qur’ān, except to do those very things they have been commanded to do in both their books, i.e. worshipping Allah alone, refraining from ascribing partners to Him, establishing prayer and giving in Zakat. So whatever they have been commanded to do, is actually the straight religion in which there is no deviance. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और उन्हें आदेश भी बस यही दिया गया था कि वे अल्लाह की बन्दगी करे निष्ठा एवं विनयशीलता को उसके लिए विशिष्ट करके, बिलकुल एकाग्र होकर, और नमाज़ की पाबन्दी करें और ज़कात दे। और यही है सत्यवादी समुदाय का धर्म |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (तब) और उन्हें तो बस ये हुक्म दिया गया था कि निरा ख़ुरा उसी का एतक़ाद रख के बातिल से कतरा के ख़ुदा की इबादत करे और पाबन्दी से नमाज़ पढ़े और ज़कात अदा करता रहे और यही सच्चा दीन है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | यहूदियों और ईसाइयों का अपराध और हठ इस बात से प्रकट होता है कि उन्हें इस क़ुरआन में उन्हीं बातों का आदेश दिया गया, जिनका आदेश उन्हें उनकी किताबों में दिया गया था, जैसे केवल एक अल्लाह की इबादत करना, शिर्क से बचना, नमाज़ पढ़ना और ज़कात अदा करना। अतः उन्हें जिस चीज़ का आदेश दिया गया है, वही सीधा धर्म है, जिसमें कोई टेढ़ापन नहीं है। |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ الَّذينَ كَفَروا مِن أَهلِ الكِتابِ وَالمُشرِكينَ في نارِ جَهَنَّمَ خالِدينَ فيها ۚ أُولٰئِكَ هُم شَرُّ البَرِيَّةِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna allatheena kafaroo min ahli alkitabi waalmushrikeena fee nari jahannama khalideena feeha olaika hum sharru albariyyati |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innal lazeena kafaru min ahlil kitaabi wal mushri keena fee nari jahan nama khaali deena feeha; ulaa-ika hum shar rul ba reeyah |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! those who disbelieve, among the People of the Scripture and the idolaters, will abide in fire of hell. They are the worst of created beings. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who reject (Truth), among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, will be in Hell-Fire, to dwell therein (for aye). They are the worst of creatures. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, they who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the worst of creatures. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Indeed, those who disbelieved - from the Jews, the Christians and the idolaters - will enter into hell on the Day of Judgement, wherein they shall remain forever. They are the worst of the creation because of their disbelief in Allah and rejection of His Messenger. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | निस्संदेह किताबवालों और मुशरिकों (बहुदेववादियों) में से जिन लोगों ने इनकार किया है, वे जहन्नम की आग में पड़ेगे; उसमें सदैव रहने के लिए। वही पैदा किए गए प्राणियों में सबसे बुरे है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | बेशक अहले किताब और मुशरेकीन से जो लोग (अब तक) काफ़िर हैं वह दोज़ख़ की आग में (होंगे) हमेशा उसी में रहेंगे यही लोग बदतरीन ख़लाएक़ हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निश्चय (यहूदियों, ईसाइयों और मुश्रिकों में से) जिन लोगों ने कुफ़्र किया, वे क़ियामत के दिन जहन्नम में दाखिल होंगे और हमेशा के लिए उसी में रहेंगे। वही लोग सबसे बुरे प्राणी हैं, क्योंकि उन्होंने अल्लाह का इनकार किया और उसके रसूल को झुठलाया। |
| Ayah 7 |
| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ الَّذينَ آمَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّالِحاتِ أُولٰئِكَ هُم خَيرُ البَرِيَّةِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati olaika hum khayru albariyyati |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innal lazeena aamanu wa 'amilus saalihaati ula-ika hum khairul bareey yah |
| English (Pickthall) | (And) lo! those who believe and do good works are the best of created beings. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who have faith and do righteous deeds,- they are the best of creatures. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, they who have believed and done righteous deeds - those are the best of creatures. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Indeed, those who have faith in Allah and do good deeds, they are the ones who are the best of creation. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | किन्तु निश्चय ही वे लोग, जो ईमान लाए और उन्होंने अच्छे कर्म किए पैदा किए गए प्राणियों में सबसे अच्छे है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | बेशक जो लोग ईमान लाए और अच्छे काम करते रहे यही लोग बेहतरीन ख़लाएक़ हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो लोग अल्लाह पर ईमान लाए और उन्होंने अच्छे कार्य किए, वही लोग सबसे अच्छे प्राणी हैं। |
| Ayah 8 |
| عَرَبِي | جَزاؤُهُم عِندَ رَبِّهِم جَنّاتُ عَدنٍ تَجري مِن تَحتِهَا الأَنهارُ خالِدينَ فيها أَبَدًا ۖ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنهُم وَرَضوا عَنهُ ۚ ذٰلِكَ لِمَن خَشِيَ رَبَّهُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Jazaohum AAinda rabbihim jannatu AAadnin tajree min tahtiha alanharu khalideena feeha abadan radiya Allahu AAanhum waradoo AAanhu thalika liman khashiya rabbahu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Jazaa-uhum inda rabbihim jan naatu 'adnin tajree min tahtihal an haaru khalideena feeha abada; radiy-yallaahu 'anhum wa ra du 'an zaalika liman khashiya rabbah. |
| English (Pickthall) | Their reward is with their Lord: Gardens of Eden underneath which rivers flow, wherein they dwell for ever. Allah hath pleasure in them and they have pleasure in Him. This is (in store) for him who feareth his Lord. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Their reward is with Allah: Gardens of Eternity, beneath which rivers flow; they will dwell therein for ever; Allah well pleased with them, and they with Him: all this for such as fear their Lord and Cherisher. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Their reward with Allah will be gardens of perpetual residence beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever, Allah being pleased with them and they with Him. That is for whoever has feared his Lord. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Their reward with their Lord (may He be glorified) is gardens under the trees and palaces of which rivers flow, and wherein they shall remain forever. Allah is pleased with them because of them bringing faith in Him and obeying Him, and they are also pleased with Him because of Him giving them His mercy. This mercy can be acquired by the one who fears his Lord, and so fulfils His command and refrains from the thing He has not allowed. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उनका बदला, उनके रब के पास ऐसे बाग़ हैं, जिनके महलों और पेड़ों के नीचे से नहरें बहती हैं। वे उसमें हमेशा के लिए रहेंगे। अल्लाह उनके उसपर ईमान लाने और उसकी आज्ञा मानने के कारण उनसे खुश हुआ और वे उसकी दया को पाकर उससे खुश हुए। यह दया उसे प्राप्त होती है जो अपने पालनहार से डरता है, इसलिए उसकी आज्ञा का पालन करता है और उसके निषेध से बचता है। |
