| English (Pickthall) | And those that bear the burden (of the rain) |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And those that lift and bear away heavy weights; |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | And by the clouds that carry plenty of water, |

| English (Yusuf Ali) | And those that flow with ease and gentleness; |

| عَرَبِي | فَالمُقَسِّماتِ أَمرًا |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Falmuqassimaati amraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And those who distribute (blessings) by command, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And those that distribute and apportion by Command;- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And by the angels which distribute the matters of the servants which Allah has ordered them to distribute. |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّما توعَدونَ لَصادِقٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Innama tooAAadoona lasadiqun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innamaa too'adoona la-saadiq |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! that wherewith ye are threatened is indeed true, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Verily that which ye are promised is true; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, what you are promised is true. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The reckoning and reward which Allah promises you is true without doubt. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | निश्चय ही तुमसे जिस चीज़ का वादा किया जाता है, वह सत्य है; |

| عَرَبِي | وَإِنَّ الدّينَ لَواقِعٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wainna alddeena lawaqiAAun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa innad deena la waaqi' |
| English (Pickthall) | And lo! the judgment will indeed befall. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And verily Judgment and Justice must indeed come to pass. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And indeed, the recompense is to occur. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And the reckoning of the servants is going to occur on the day of judgment without doubt. |

| عَرَبِي | وَالسَّماءِ ذاتِ الحُبُكِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waalssamai thati alhubuki |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wassamaaa'i zaatil hubuk |
| English (Pickthall) | By the heaven full of paths, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | By the heaven containing pathways, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And Allah swears by the sky which has pathways. |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّكُم لَفي قَولٍ مُختَلِفٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Innakum lafee qawlin mukhtalifin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innakum lafee qawlim mukhtalif |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! ye, forsooth, are of various opinion (concerning the truth). |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, you are in differing speech. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O people of Makkah, you are in a contradicting and conflicting speech. Sometimes you say: The Qur’ān is magic, at times you say poetry. And you say: Muhammad is a magician at times, and sometimes that he is a poet. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | निश्चय ही तुम उस बात में पड़े हुए हो जिनमें कथन भिन्न-भिन्न है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | कि (ऐ अहले मक्का) तुम लोग एक ऐसी मुख्तलिफ़ बेजोड़ बात में पड़े हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निश्चय (ऐ मक्का वालो!) तुम एक विरोधाभासी और परस्पर विरोधी बात में पड़े हो। कभी तुम कहते हो : क़ुरआन जादू है, तो कभी कहते हो कि काव्य (शे'र) है। इसी तरह कभी कहते हो कि मुहम्मद जादूगर हैं, तो कभी कहते हो कि कवि (शा'इर) हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | يُؤفَكُ عَنهُ مَن أُفِكَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yufaku AAanhu man ofika |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yu'faku 'anhu man ufik |
| English (Pickthall) | He is made to turn away from it who is (himself) averse. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Through which are deluded (away from the Truth) such as would be deluded. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Deluded away from the Qur'an is he who is deluded. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Turned away from faith in the Qur’ān and the Prophet (peace be upon him) is he who he is turned away from it in Allah’s knowledge, due to His knowing that he will not believe, and so he is not enabled to be guided. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क़ुरआन तथा नबी सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम पर ईमान लाने से वही फेरा जाता है, जो अल्लाह के ज्ञान में उससे फेर दिया गया है; क्योंकि अल्लाह को पता है कि वह ईमान नहीं लाएगा, इसलिए उसे हिदायत की तौफ़ीक़ नहीं देता। |

| عَرَبِي | قُتِلَ الخَرّاصونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qutila alkharrasoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qutilal kharraasoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Accursed be the conjecturers |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Woe to the falsehood-mongers,- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Destroyed are the falsifiers |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Cursed are these liars who said regarding the Qur’ān and their Prophet what they said. |

| Ayah 11 |
| عَرَبِي | الَّذينَ هُم في غَمرَةٍ ساهونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Allatheena hum fee ghamratin sahoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Allazeena hum fee ghamratin saahoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Who are careless in an abyss! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who (flounder) heedless in a flood of confusion: |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Who are within a flood [of confusion] and heedless. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who are in ignorance and absentminded of the abode of the afterlife, not caring about it. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जो ग़फ़लत में पड़े हुए हैं भूले हुए |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जो ग़फलत में भूले हुए (पड़े) हैं पूछते हैं कि जज़ा का दिन कब होगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो लोग अज्ञान में हैं, आख़िरत के घर से ग़ाफ़िल हैं। उन्हें इसकी कोई परवाह नहीं है। |
| Ayah 12 |
| عَرَبِي | يَسأَلونَ أَيّانَ يَومُ الدّينِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yasaloona ayyana yawmu alddeeni |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yas'aloona ayyaana yawmud Deen |
| English (Pickthall) | They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | They ask, "When is the Day of Recompense?" |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They ask: “When is the day of reward?” whilst they do not work for it. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | पूछते है, "बदले का दिन कब आएगा?" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | उस दिन (होगा) |

| عَرَبِي | يَومَ هُم عَلَى النّارِ يُفتَنونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yawma hum AAala alnnari yuftanoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yawma hum 'alan naari yuftanoon |
| English (Pickthall) | (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (and tested) over the Fire! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So Allah answers their question: the day they will be punished on the fire. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जिस दिन वे आग पर तपाए जाएँगे, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जब इनको (जहन्नुम की) आग में अज़ाब दिया जाएगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अल्लाह उन्हें उनके प्रश्न का उत्तर देता है : जिस दिन वे आग पर यातना दिए जाएँगे। |
| Ayah 14 |
| عَرَبِي | ذوقوا فِتنَتَكُم هٰذَا الَّذي كُنتُم بِهِ تَستَعجِلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Thooqoo fitnatakum hatha allathee kuntum bihi tastaAAjiloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Zooqoo fitnatakum haa zal lazee kuntum bihee tas ta'jiloon |
| English (Pickthall) | (And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "Taste ye your trial! This is what ye used to ask to be hastened!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | It will be said to them: “Taste your punishment. This is what you used to mockingly ask for quickly when you used to be warned of it”. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | "चखों मज़ा. अपने फ़ितने (उपद्रव) का! यहीं है जिसके लिए तुम जल्दी मचा रहे थे।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (और उनसे कहा जाएगा) अपने अज़ाब का मज़ा चखो ये वही है जिसकी तुम जल्दी मचाया करते थे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उनसे कहा जाएगा : तुम अपनी यातना का स्वाद चखो। यह वही (यातना) है, जिसे तुम उपहास के तौर पर जल्दी लाने के लिए कह रहे थे, जब तुम्हें इससे डराया जाता था। |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ المُتَّقينَ في جَنّاتٍ وَعُيونٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna almuttaqeena fee jannatin waAAuyoonin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innal muttaqeena fee jannaatinw wa 'uyoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! those who keep from evil will dwell amid gardens and watersprings, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Springs, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who are mindful of their Lord by carrying out His commands and refraining from His prohibitions will be in gardens and running springs on the day of judgment. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | निश्चय ही डर रखनेवाले बाग़ों और स्रोतों में होंगे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | बेशक परहेज़गार लोग (बेहिश्त के) बाग़ों और चश्मों में (ऐश करते) होगें |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निश्चय जो लोग अपने रब से, उसके आदेशों का पालन करके और उसके निषेधों से दूर रहकर, डरने वाले हैं, क़ियामत के दिन बगीचों तथा बहते जल स्रोतों में होंगे। |

| عَرَبِي | آخِذينَ ما آتاهُم رَبُّهُم ۚ إِنَّهُم كانوا قَبلَ ذٰلِكَ مُحسِنينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Akhitheena ma atahum rabbuhum innahum kanoo qabla thalika muhsineena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Aakhizeena maaa aataahum Rabbuhum; innahum kaanoo qabla zaalika muhsineen |
| English (Pickthall) | Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Taking the generous reward their Lord has given them. Before this generous reward, they used to do good in the world. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जो कुछ उनके रब ने उन्हें दिया, वे उसे ले रहे होंगे। निस्संदेह वे इससे पहले उत्तमकारों में से थे |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो कुछ उनका रब उन्हें सम्माननीय प्रतिफल प्रदान करेगा, उसे लेने वाले होंगे। निश्चय वे इस सम्माननीय प्रतिफल से पहले दुनिया में अच्छे कार्य करने वाले थे। |

| عَرَبِي | كانوا قَليلًا مِنَ اللَّيلِ ما يَهجَعونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Kanoo qaleelan mina allayli ma yahjaAAoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | kaanoo qaleelam minal laili maa yahja'oon |
| English (Pickthall) | They used to sleep but little of the night, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | They used to sleep but little of the night, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They used to pray at night, not sleeping except a little. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | रातों को थोड़ा ही सोते थे, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (इबादत की वजह से) रात को बहुत ही कम सोते थे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वे रात में उठकर नमाज़ पढ़ा करते थे। रात का बहुत कम भाग सोकर बिताते थे। |
| Ayah 18 |
| عَرَبِي | وَبِالأَسحارِ هُم يَستَغفِرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wabialashari hum yastaghfiroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa bilashaari hum yastaghfiroon |
| English (Pickthall) | And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And in the hour of early dawn, they (were found) praying for Forgiveness; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And at the time of morning they seek forgiveness from Allah for their sins. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और वही प्रातः की घड़ियों में क्षमा की प्रार्थना करते थे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और पिछले पहर को अपनी मग़फ़िरत की दुआएं करते थे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा रात की आखिरी घड़ियों में अल्लाह से अपने गुनाहों की क्षमा माँगते थे। |
| Ayah 19 |
| عَرَبِي | وَفي أَموالِهِم حَقٌّ لِلسّائِلِ وَالمَحرومِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wafee amwalihim haqqun lilssaili waalmahroomi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa feee amwaalihim haqqul lissaaa'ili walmahroom |
| English (Pickthall) | And in their wealth the beggar and the outcast had due share. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And in their wealth and possessions (was remembered) the right of the (needy,) him who asked, and him who (for some reason) was prevented (from asking). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And from their properties was [given] the right of the [needy] petitioner and the deprived. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And in their wealth is a right for the beggar amongst people and the one who does not ask out of shyness, and so people deprive him of charity. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और उनके मालों में माँगनेवाले और धनहीन का हक़ था |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और उनके माल में माँगने वाले और न माँगने वाले (दोनों) का हिस्सा था |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा उनके धन में माँगने वाले के लिए तथा उसके लिए जो उनसे नहीं माँगता, जो किसी भी कारण से जीविका से वंचित है, एक हक़ (भाग) था, जिसे वे स्वेच्छा से देते थे। |
| Ayah 20 |
| عَرَبِي | وَفِي الأَرضِ آياتٌ لِلموقِنينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wafee alardi ayatun lilmooqineena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa fil ardi aayaatul lilmooqineen |
| English (Pickthall) | And in the earth are portents for those whose faith is sure. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | On the earth are signs for those of assured Faith, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And on the earth are signs for the certain [in faith] |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And in the earth and the mountains, seas, rivers, trees, plants and animals that Allah has placed in them are proof of Allah’s power for those who have conviction that Allah is their Creator and Fashioner. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और धरती में विश्वास करनेवालों के लिए बहुत-सी निशानियाँ है, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और यक़ीन करने वालों के लिए ज़मीन में (क़ुदरते ख़ुदा की) बहुत सी निशानियाँ हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा धरती में और उसमें अल्लाह के रखे हुए पहाड़ों, समुद्रों, नदियों, पेड़ों, पौधों और जानवरों में, उन लोगों के लिए अल्लाह की शक्ति के कई संकेत हैं, जो पूर्ण विश्वास रखने वाले हैं कि अल्लाह ही स्रष्टा और रूप बनाने वाला है। |
| Ayah 21 |
| عَرَبِي | وَفي أَنفُسِكُم ۚ أَفَلا تُبصِرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wafee anfusikum afala tubsiroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa feee anfusikum; afalaa tubsiroon |
| English (Pickthall) | And (also) in yourselves. Can ye then not see? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And in yourselves. Then will you not see? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And in your own selves, O people, are proof of Allah’s power; do you not see to take lessons? |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और ,स्वयं तुम्हारे अपने आप में भी। तो क्या तुम देखते नहीं? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और ख़ुदा तुम में भी हैं तो क्या तुम देखते नहीं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और खुद तुम्हारे अंदर भी (ऐ लोगो!) अल्लाह की शक्ति की बहुत-सी निशानियाँ हैं। तो क्या तुम नहीं देखते कि विचार करो?! |
| Ayah 22 |
| عَرَبِي | وَفِي السَّماءِ رِزقُكُم وَما توعَدونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wafee alssamai rizqukum wama tooAAadoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa fissamaaa'i rizqukum wa maa too'adoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And in the heaven is your providence and that which ye are promised; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And in the heavens is your worldly and religious provision, and in it is the reward of this world and the afterlife you are promised. |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fawarabbi alssamai waalardi innahu lahaqqun mithla ma annakum tantiqoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fawa Rabbis samaaa'i wal ardi innahoo lahaqqum misla maa annakum tantiqoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. |

| عَرَبِي | إِذ دَخَلوا عَلَيهِ فَقالوا سَلامًا ۖ قالَ سَلامٌ قَومٌ مُنكَرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ith dakhaloo AAalayhi faqaloo salaman qala salamun qawmun munkaroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Iz dakhaloo 'alaihi faqaaloo salaaman qaala salaamun qawmum munkaroon |
| English (Pickthall) | When they came in unto him and said: Peace! he answered, Peace! (and thought): Folk unknown (to me). |

| عَرَبِي | فَراغَ إِلىٰ أَهلِهِ فَجاءَ بِعِجلٍ سَمينٍ |

| عَرَبِي | فَقَرَّبَهُ إِلَيهِم قالَ أَلا تَأكُلونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faqarrabahu ilayhim qala ala takuloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Faqarrabahooo ilaihim qaala alaa taakuloon |
| English (Pickthall) | And he set it before them, saying: Will ye not eat? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And placed it before them.. he said, "Will ye not eat?" |

| عَرَبِي | فَأَوجَسَ مِنهُم خيفَةً ۖ قالوا لا تَخَف ۖ وَبَشَّروهُ بِغُلامٍ عَليمٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faawjasa minhum kheefatan qaloo la takhaf wabashsharoohu bighulamin AAaleemin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa awjasa minhm khee fatan qaaloo laa takhaf wa bashsharoohu bighulaamin 'aleem |
| English (Pickthall) | Then he conceived a fear of them. They said: Fear not! and gave him tidings of (the birth of) a wise son. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | (When they did not eat), He conceived a fear of them. They said, "Fear not," and they gave him glad tidings of a son endowed with knowledge. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And he felt from them apprehension. They said, "Fear not," and gave him good tidings of a learned boy. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जब उन्होंने कुछ नहीं खाया, तो इबराहीम अलैहिस्सलाम ने अपने दिल में उनसे भय महसूस किया, जिसे वे समझ गए। अतः उन्हें संतोष देते हुए कहा : डरिए नहीं, हम अल्लाह के संदेशवाहक हैं। और उन्हें प्रसन्नता भरी खबर सुनाई, कि उनके यहाँ एक बड़ा ज्ञानी बालक पैदा होगा। यहाँ जिस बच्चे की खुशख़बरी दी गई है, वह इसहाक़ अलैहिस्सलाम हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | فَأَقبَلَتِ امرَأَتُهُ في صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّت وَجهَها وَقالَت عَجوزٌ عَقيمٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faaqbalati imraatuhu fee sarratin fasakkat wajhaha waqalat AAajoozun AAaqeemun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa aqbalatim ra-atuhoo fee sarratin fasakkat wajhahaa wa qaalat 'ajoozun 'aqeem |
| English (Pickthall) | Then his wife came forward, making moan, and smote her face, and cried: A barren old woman! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But his wife came forward (laughing) aloud: she smote her forehead and said: "A barren old woman!" |

| عَرَبِي | قالوا كَذٰلِكِ قالَ رَبُّكِ ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الحَكيمُ العَليمُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qaloo kathaliki qala rabbuki innahu huwa alhakeemu alAAaleemu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qaaloo kazaaliki qaala Rabbuki innahoo huwal hakeemul 'aleem |
| English (Pickthall) | They said: Even so saith thy Lord. Lo! He is the Wise, the Knower. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They said, "Even so has thy Lord spoken: and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge." |

| عَرَبِي | ۞ قالَ فَما خَطبُكُم أَيُّهَا المُرسَلونَ |

| English (Pickthall) | (Abraham) said: And (afterward) what is your errand, O ye sent (from Allah)? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | (Abraham) said: "And what, O ye Messengers, is your errand (now)?" |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qaalooo innaaa ursilnaaa ilaa qawmim mujrimeen |
| English (Pickthall) | They said: Lo! we are sent unto a guilty folk, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They said, "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin;- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals |

| English (Pickthall) | That we may send upon them stones of clay, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "To bring on, on them, (a shower of) stones of clay (brimstone), |

| English (Pickthall) | Marked by thy Lord for (the destruction of) the wanton. |

| عَرَبِي | فَأَخرَجنا مَن كانَ فيها مِنَ المُؤمِنينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faakhrajna man kana feeha mina almumineena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa akhrajnaa man kaana feehaa minal mu'mineen |
| English (Pickthall) | Then we brought forth such believers as were there. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Then We evacuated those of the Believers who were there, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So We brought out whoever was in the cities of the believers. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So I took out whoever was in the city of the people of Lot from the believers, so that the punishment which will befall the criminals will not befall them. |

| عَرَبِي | فَما وَجَدنا فيها غَيرَ بَيتٍ مِنَ المُسلِمينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fama wajadna feeha ghayra baytin mina almuslimeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Famaa wajadnaa feehaa ghaira baitim minal muslimeen |
| English (Pickthall) | But We found there but one house of those surrendered (to Allah). |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But We found not there any just (Muslim) persons except in one house: |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We found not within them other than a [single] house of Muslims. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | But I did not find in their city besides one house of the Muslims, which was the household of Lot (peace be upon him). |

| عَرَبِي | وَتَرَكنا فيها آيَةً لِلَّذينَ يَخافونَ العَذابَ الأَليمَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Watarakna feeha ayatan lillatheena yakhafoona alAAathaba alaleema |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa taraknaa feehaaa aayatal lillazeena yakhaafoonal 'azaabal aleem |
| English (Pickthall) | And We left behind therein a portent for those who fear a painful doom. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And We left there a Sign for such as fear the Grievous Penalty. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और हमने लूत (अलैहिस्सलाम) की बस्ती में यातना के कुछ निशान छोड़ दिए, जो उनपर यातना उतरने का पता देते हैं; ताकि इससे वह व्यक्ति सीख ग्रहण करे, जो उनपर आने वाली दर्दनाक यातना से डरता है। अतः वह उनके जैसा काम न करे ताकि उस यातना से बच सके। |

| عَرَبِي | وَفي موسىٰ إِذ أَرسَلناهُ إِلىٰ فِرعَونَ بِسُلطانٍ مُبينٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wafee moosa ith arsalnahu ila firAAawna bisultanin mubeenin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa fee Moosaaa iz arsalnaahu ilaa Fir'wna bisultaa nim mubeen |
| English (Pickthall) | And in Moses (too, there is a portent) when We sent him unto Pharaoh with clear warrant, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And in Moses (was another Sign): Behold, We sent him to Pharaoh, with authority manifest. |

| عَرَبِي | فَتَوَلّىٰ بِرُكنِهِ وَقالَ ساحِرٌ أَو مَجنونٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fatawalla biruknihi waqala sahirun aw majnoonun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fatawalla biruknihee wa qaala saahirun aw majnoon |
| English (Pickthall) | But he withdrew (confiding) in his might, and said: A wizard or a madman. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But (Pharaoh) turned back with his Chiefs, and said, "A sorcerer, or one possessed!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | But Pharaoh turned away from the truth, and he said regarding Moses (peace be upon him): “He is a magician that does magic on people or a madman who says what he does not understand”. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तो फ़िरऔन ने अपनी शक्ति और सेना के घमंड में आकर सत्य से मुँह फेर लिया और मूसा अलैहिस्सलाम के बारे में कहने लगा : वह जादूगर है, जो लोगों पर जादू कर देता है, या पागल है, जो ऐसी बात कहता है जिसे वह नहीं समझता। |
| Ayah 40 |
| عَرَبِي | فَأَخَذناهُ وَجُنودَهُ فَنَبَذناهُم فِي اليَمِّ وَهُوَ مُليمٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faakhathnahu wajunoodahu fanabathnahum fee alyammi wahuwa muleemun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa akhaznaahu wa junoo dahoo fanabaznaahum fil yammi wa huwa muleem |
| English (Pickthall) | So We seized him and his hosts and flung them in the sea, for he was reprobate. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | So We took him and his forces, and threw them into the sea; and his was the blame. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So We took him and his soldiers and cast them into the sea, and he was blameworthy. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So I seized him and all of his armies, then threw them in the sea, so they were drowned and destroyed. And Pharaoh will be held accountable for his blameworthy actions- denial of the message and his claim of divinity. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अन्ततः हमने उसे और उसकी सेनाओं को पकड़ लिया और उन्हें गहरे पानी में फेंक दिया, इस दशा में कि वह निन्दनीय था |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तो हमने उसे और उसके सभी सैनिकों को पकड़ लिया, फिर उन्हें समुद्र में फेंक दिया और वे डूब गए और नष्ट हो गए। दरअसल फ़िरऔन ऐसे काम करने वाला था, जो भर्त्सना के योग्य थे, जैसे रसूलों को झुठलाना और खुद पूज्य होने का दावा करना। |

| عَرَبِي | وَفي عادٍ إِذ أَرسَلنا عَلَيهِمُ الرّيحَ العَقيمَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wafee AAadin ith arsalna AAalayhimu alrreeha alAAaqeema |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa fee 'Aadin iz arsalnaa 'alaihimur reehal'aqeem |
| English (Pickthall) | And in (the tribe of) A'ad (there is a portent) when we sent the fatal wind against them. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And in the 'Ad (people) (was another Sign): Behold, We sent against them the devastating Wind: |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And in 'Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And in Ad, the people of Hud, is a sign for one who fears the painful punishment, when I sent upon them the wind which does not carry rain or pollinate trees, nor were there any blessings in it. |

| عَرَبِي | ما تَذَرُ مِن شَيءٍ أَتَت عَلَيهِ إِلّا جَعَلَتهُ كَالرَّميمِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ma tatharu min shayin atat AAalayhi illa jaAAalathu kaalrrameemi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Maa tazaru min shai'in atat 'alaihi illaa ja'alat hu karrameem |
| English (Pickthall) | It spared naught that it reached, but made it (all) as dust. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | It left nothing whatever that it came up against, but reduced it to ruin and rottenness. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | It left nothing of what it came upon but that it made it like disintegrated ruins. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | It did not leave any soul, wealth or anything else it came upon, except that it destroyed it and left it like scattered ruins. |

| عَرَبِي | وَفي ثَمودَ إِذ قيلَ لَهُم تَمَتَّعوا حَتّىٰ حينٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wafee thamooda ith qeela lahum tamattaAAoo hatta heenin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa fee Samooda iz qeela lahum tamatta''oo hattaa heen |
| English (Pickthall) | And in (the tribe of) Thamud (there is a portent) when it was told them: Take your ease awhile. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And in the Thamud (was another Sign): Behold, they were told, "Enjoy (your brief day) for a little while!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." |

| عَرَبِي | فَعَتَوا عَن أَمرِ رَبِّهِم فَأَخَذَتهُمُ الصّاعِقَةُ وَهُم يَنظُرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | FaAAataw AAan amri rabbihim faakhathathumu alssaAAiqatu wahum yanthuroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa'ataw 'an amri Rabbihim fa akhazal humus saa'iqatu wa hum yanzuroon |
| English (Pickthall) | But they rebelled against their Lord's decree, and so the thunderbolt overtook them even while they gazed; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But they were insolent toward the command of their Lord, so the thunderbolt seized them while they were looking on. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | But they were arrogant to the command of their Lord and they were haughty to faith and obedience, so the thunderbolt of punishment seized them whilst they were waiting it to come down, as they were promised punishment three days before it came. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तो उन्होंने अपने रब के आदेश को मानने से अभिमान किया और उनके घमंड और अहंकार ने उन्हें ईमान और आज्ञापालन से रोक दिया। चुनाँचे यातना की कड़क ने उन्हें पकड़ लिया, जबकि वे उसके आने की प्रतीक्षा कर रहे थे। क्योंकि उसके आने से तीन दिन पहले ही उन्हें उसकी धमकी दे दी गई थी। |

| عَرَبِي | فَمَا استَطاعوا مِن قِيامٍ وَما كانوا مُنتَصِرينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fama istataAAoo min qiyamin wama kanoo muntasireena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Famas tataa'oo min qiyaaminw wa maa kaanoo muntasireen |
| English (Pickthall) | And they were unable to rise up, nor could they help themselves. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Then they could not even stand (on their feet), nor could they help themselves. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So they were unable to repel the punishment that befell them nor did they have any power to defend themselves with. |

| عَرَبِي | وَقَومَ نوحٍ مِن قَبلُ ۖ إِنَّهُم كانوا قَومًا فاسِقينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waqawma noohin min qablu innahum kanoo qawman fasiqeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa qawma Noohim min qablu innahum kaano qawman faasiqeen |
| English (Pickthall) | And the folk of Noah aforetime. Lo! they were licentious folk. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | So were the People of Noah before them for they wickedly transgressed. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And I destroyed the people of Noah through flooding before these who have been mentioned. They were a people who left the obedience of Allah, so they deserved His punishment. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और इससे पहले नूह की क़ौम को भी पकड़ा। निश्चय ही वे अवज्ञाकारी लोग थे |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | इन उल्लिखित लोगों से पहले, हमने नूह अलैहिस्सलाम की जाति को डुबोकर नष्ट कर दिया। निश्चय वे अल्लाह की आज्ञाकारिता से बाहर निकलने वाले लोग थे। इसलिए वे उसकी सज़ा के पात्र थे। |

| عَرَبِي | وَالسَّماءَ بَنَيناها بِأَيدٍ وَإِنّا لَموسِعونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waalssamaa banaynaha biaydin wainna lamoosiAAoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wassamaaa'a banainaa haa bi aydinw wa innaa lamoosi'oon |
| English (Pickthall) | We have built the heaven with might, and We it is Who make the vast extent (thereof). |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of pace. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And the sky I made and perfected its making with strength, and I am expanding its edges and expanding for My servants by increasing provision. |

| عَرَبِي | وَالأَرضَ فَرَشناها فَنِعمَ الماهِدونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waalarda farashnaha faniAAma almahidoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wal arda farashnaahaa fani'mal maahidoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And the earth have We laid out, how gracious is the Spreader (thereof)! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And We have spread out the (spacious) earth: How excellently We do spread out! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And the earth We have spread out, and excellent is the preparer. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And the earth I made prepared for those who live on it, like a spread for them. How excellent a preparer I am when I prepared it for them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और धरती को हमने बिछाया, तो हम क्या ही ख़ूब बिछानेवाले है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और ज़मीन को भी हम ही ने बिछाया तो हम कैसे अच्छे बिछाने वाले हैं |

| عَرَبِي | وَمِن كُلِّ شَيءٍ خَلَقنا زَوجَينِ لَعَلَّكُم تَذَكَّرونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wamin kulli shayin khalaqna zawjayni laAAallakum tathakkaroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa min kulli shai'in khalaqnaa zawjaini la'allakum tazakkaroon |
| English (Pickthall) | And all things We have created by pairs, that haply ye may reflect. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And of every thing We have created pairs: That ye may receive instruction. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And of all things We created two mates; perhaps you will remember. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And of everything I have created two types, like the male and female, sky and earth, and the land and sea, so that you remember the oneness of Allah who created two types of everything and you remember His power. |

| عَرَبِي | فَفِرّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ ۖ إِنّي لَكُم مِنهُ نَذيرٌ مُبينٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fafirroo ila Allahi innee lakum minhu natheerun mubeenun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fafirrooo ilal laahi innee lakum minhu nazeerum mubeen |
| English (Pickthall) | Therefor flee unto Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from him. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Hasten ye then (at once) to Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So flee to Allah. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So flee from Allah’s punishment towards His reward, by obeying Him and not disobeying Him. I am a clear warner to you, O people, of His punishment. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तो तुम अल्लाह की आज्ञा का पालन करके और उसकी अवज्ञा से दूर रहकर, उसकी सज़ा से भागते हुए उसके सवाब की ओर दौड़ो। निश्चय (ऐ लोगो!) मैं तुम्हें उसकी सज़ा से स्पष्ट रूप से डराने वाला हूँ। |
| Ayah 51 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلا تَجعَلوا مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلٰهًا آخَرَ ۖ إِنّي لَكُم مِنهُ نَذيرٌ مُبينٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wala tajAAaloo maAAa Allahi ilahan akhara innee lakum minhu natheerun mubeenun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laa taj'aloo ma'al laahi ilaahan aakhara innee lakum minhu nazeerum mubeen |
| English (Pickthall) | And set not any other god along with Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from Him. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And make not another an object of worship with Allah: I am from Him a Warner to you, clear and open! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And do not make [as equal] with Allah another deity. Indeed, I am to you from Him a clear warner. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And do not make alongside Allah another deity to worship besides Him. I am a clear warner to you. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और तुम अल्लाह के साथ कोई दूसरा पूज्य न बनाओ कि अल्लाह को छोड़कर उसकी इबादत करने लगो। मैं तुम्हारे लिए उसकी ओर से खुले तौर पर डराने वाला हूँ। |

| عَرَبِي | كَذٰلِكَ ما أَتَى الَّذينَ مِن قَبلِهِم مِن رَسولٍ إِلّا قالوا ساحِرٌ أَو مَجنونٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Kathalika ma ata allatheena min qablihim min rasoolin illa qaloo sahirun aw majnoonun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Kazaalika maaa atal lazeena min qablihim mir Rasoolin illaa qaaloo saahirun aw majnoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Even so there came no messenger unto those before them but they said: A wizard or a madman! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Similarly, no messenger came to the Peoples before them, but they said (of him) in like manner, "A sorcerer, or one possessed"! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Like the denial of the people of Makkah, the previous nations denied. No Messenger came to them from Allah except that they said regarding him: “He is a magician or a madman”. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | इसी तरह उन लोगों के पास भी, जो उनसे पहले गुज़र चुके है, जो भी रसूल आया तो उन्होंने बस यही कहा, "जादूगर है या दीवाना!" |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जिस तरह मक्का के लोगों ने झुठलाया है, उसी तरह पिछले समुदायों ने भी झुठलाया। चुनाँचे उनके पास अल्लाह की ओर से जो भी रसूल आया, उन्होंने उसके बारे में कहा : वह एक जादूगर है, या एक पागल है। |

| عَرَبِي | أَتَواصَوا بِهِ ۚ بَل هُم قَومٌ طاغونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Atawasaw bihi bal hum qawmun taghoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Atawaasaw bih; bal hum qawmun taaghoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Have they handed down (the saying) as an heirloom one unto another? Nay, but they are froward folk. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Is this the legacy they have transmitted, one to another? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Did they suggest it to them? Rather, they [themselves] are a transgressing people. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Did the predecessors amongst the disbelievers and the latter amongst them bequest one another to deny the messengers? No, but rather their transgression has united them on this. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | क्या उन्होंने एक-दूसरे को इसकी वसीयत कर रखी है? नहीं, बल्कि वे है ही सरकश लोग |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ये लोग एक दूसरे को ऐसी बात की वसीयत करते आते हैं (नहीं) बल्कि ये लोग हैं ही सरकश |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्या पहले के काफिरों और उनमें से बाद के लोगों ने रसूलों को झुठलाने की एक-दूसरे को वसीयत कर रखी है?! नहीं, बल्कि उनकी सरकशी ने उन्हें इसपर एकमत किया है। |
| Ayah 54 |
| عَرَبِي | فَتَوَلَّ عَنهُم فَما أَنتَ بِمَلومٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fatawalla AAanhum fama anta bimaloomin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fatawalla 'anhum famaaa anta bimaloom |
| English (Pickthall) | So withdraw from them (O Muhammad), for thou art in no wise blameworthy, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | So turn away from them: not thine is the blame. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So leave them, [O Muhammad], for you are not to be blamed. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So turn away from these deniers, O Messenger, for you are not blameworthy, as you have conveyed to them what you were sent with towards them. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो (ऐ रसूल) तुम इनसे मुँह फेर लो तुम पर तो कुछ इल्ज़ाम नहीं है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तो (ऐ रसूल!) आप इन झुठलाने वालों से किनारा कर लें। आपपर कोई दोष नहीं है। क्योंकि आप जो कुछ देकर उनके पास भेजे गए थे, वह आपने उन्हें पहुँचा दिया। |
| Ayah 55 |
| عَرَبِي | وَذَكِّر فَإِنَّ الذِّكرىٰ تَنفَعُ المُؤمِنينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wathakkir fainna alththikra tanfaAAu almumineena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa zakkir fa innaz zikraa tanfa'ul mu'mineen |
| English (Pickthall) | And warn, for warning profiteth believers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But teach (thy Message) for teaching benefits the Believers. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And do not let their turning away from you stop you from advising them and reminding them, so advise and remind them, as reminding is beneficial for those who bring faith in Allah. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और याद दिलाते रहो, क्योंकि याद दिलाना ईमानवालों को लाभ पहुँचाता है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और नसीहत किए जाओ क्योंकि नसीहत मोमिनीन को फायदा देती है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा आपका उनसे किनारा करना, आपको उन्हें उपदेश करने और याद दिलाने से न रोके। अतः आप उन्हें उपदेश करें और याद दिलाते रहें। क्योंकि याद दिलाने से अल्लाह पर ईमान रखने वालों को लाभ होता है। |
| Ayah 56 |
| عَرَبِي | وَما خَلَقتُ الجِنَّ وَالإِنسَ إِلّا لِيَعبُدونِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wama khalaqtu aljinna waalinsa illa liyaAAbudooni |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa maa khalaqtul jinna wal insa illaa liya'budoon |
| English (Pickthall) | I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | I have only created Jinns and men, that they may serve Me. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And I did not create jinns and men except for My worship alone. I did not create them to make a partner for Me. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | मैंने तो जिन्नों और मनुष्यों को केवल इसलिए पैदा किया है कि वे मेरी बन्दगी करे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और मैने जिनों और आदमियों को इसी ग़रज़ से पैदा किया कि वह मेरी इबादत करें |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | मैंने जिन्नों और इंसानों को केवल अपनी इबादत के लिए पैदा किया, मैंने उन्हें इसलिए नहीं पैदा किया कि वे किसी को मेरा साझी बनाएँ। |
| Ayah 57 |
| عَرَبِي | ما أُريدُ مِنهُم مِن رِزقٍ وَما أُريدُ أَن يُطعِمونِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ma oreedu minhum min rizqin wama oreedu an yutAAimooni |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Maaa ureedu minhum mir rizqinw wa maaa ureedu anyyut'imoon |
| English (Pickthall) | I seek no livelihood from them, nor do I ask that they should feed Me. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | No Sustenance do I require of them, nor do I require that they should feed Me. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | I do not want from them any provision, nor do I want them to feed Me. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I do not want any provision off them nor do I want them to feed Me. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | मैं उनसे कोई रोज़ी नहीं चाहता और न यह चाहता हूँ कि वे मुझे खिलाएँ |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | न तो मैं उनसे रोज़ी का तालिब हूँ और न ये चाहता हूँ कि मुझे खाना खिलाएँ |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | मैं उनसे कोई रोज़ी नहीं चाहता और न मैं उनसे यह चाहता हूँ कि वे मुझे खिलाएँ। |
| Ayah 58 |
| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الرَّزّاقُ ذُو القُوَّةِ المَتينُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna Allaha huwa alrrazzaqu thoo alquwwati almateenu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innal laaha Huwar Razzaaqu Zul Quwwatil Mateen |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! Allah! He it is that giveth livelihood, the Lord of unbreakable might. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | For Allah is He Who gives (all) Sustenance,- Lord of Power,- Steadfast (for ever). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Allah is the Provider for His servants, all of them are in need of His provision, He is the Supreme-Lord, Every Mighty, nothing is outside His ability. All of the jinns and men submit to His power (may He be glorified). |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | निश्चय ही अल्लाह ही है रोज़ी देनेवाला, शक्तिशाली, दृढ़ |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ख़ुदा ख़ुद बड़ा रोज़ी देने वाला ज़ोरावर (और) ज़बरदस्त है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निःसंदेह अल्लाह ही अपने बंदों को रोज़ी देने वाला है। सभी लोग उसकी रोज़ी के मोहताज हैं। वह बड़ा शक्तिशाली, अत्यंत मज़बूत है, जिसे कोई पराजित नहीं कर सकता। जबकि सभी जिन्न और इनसान उसकी शक्ति के अधीन हैं। |
| Ayah 59 |
| عَرَبِي | فَإِنَّ لِلَّذينَ ظَلَموا ذَنوبًا مِثلَ ذَنوبِ أَصحابِهِم فَلا يَستَعجِلونِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fainna lillatheena thalamoo thanooban mithla thanoobi ashabihim fala yastaAAjiloona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa inna lillazeena zalamoo zanoobam misla zanoobi ashaabihim falaa yasta'jiloon |
| English (Pickthall) | And lo! for those who (now) do wrong there is an evil day like unto the evil day (which came for) their likes (of old); so let them not ask Me to hasten on (that day). |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | For the Wrong-doers, their portion is like unto the portion of their fellows (of earlier generations): then let them not ask Me to hasten (that portion)! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And indeed, for those who have wronged is a portion [of punishment] like the portion of their predecessors, so let them not impatiently urge Me. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who wronged themselves by denying you, O Messenger, have a share of the punishment, like the share of their companions before them, which has a fixed time period. So they should not ask Me to bring it quicker before its time. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अतः जिन लोगों ने ज़ुल्म किया है उनके लिए एक नियत पैमाना है; जैसा उनके साथियों का नियत पैमाना था। अतः वे मुझसे जल्दी न मचाएँ! |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो (इन) ज़ालिमों के वास्ते भी अज़ाब का कुछ हिस्सा है जिस तरह उनके साथियों के लिए हिस्सा था तो इनको हम से जल्दी न करनी चाहिए |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निश्चय उन लोगों के लिए जिन्होंने (ऐ रसूल!) आपको झुठलाकर खुद पर अत्याचार किया, उनके पिछले साथियों के हिस्से की तरह यातना का एक हिस्सा है, जिसकी एक निश्चित अवधि है। इसलिए, वे मुझसे उसे उसके समय से पहले जल्दी लाने का मुतालबा न करें। |
| Ayah 60 |
| عَرَبِي | فَوَيلٌ لِلَّذينَ كَفَروا مِن يَومِهِمُ الَّذي يوعَدونَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fawaylun lillatheena kafaroo min yawmihimu allathee yooAAadoona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fawailul lillazeena kafaroo miny yawmihimul lazee yoo'adoon |
| English (Pickthall) | And woe unto those who disbelieve, from (that) their day which they are promised. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Woe, then, to the Unbelievers, on account of that Day of theirs which they have been promised! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So destruction and loss is for those who disbelieved in Allah and who denied His messengers, on their day, the Day of Judgment, in which they are being promised that the punishment will be sent upon them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अतः इनकार करनेवालों के लिए बड़ी खराबी है, उनके उस दिन के कारण जिसकी उन्हें धमकी दी जा रही है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो जिस दिन का इन काफ़िरों से वायदा किया जाता है इससे इनके लिए ख़राबी है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर उन लोगों के लिए जिन्होंने अल्लाह का इनकार किया और अपने रसूल को झुठलाया, क़ियामत के दिन बड़ा विनाश और घाटा है, जिसमें उन्हें सज़ा देने का वादा किया जाता है। |
