| English (Abridged Expl.) | The matter is not as they claim. These rejectors of the Qur’ān will soon know the evil outcome of their rejection. |

| English (Yusuf Ali) | And the mountains as pegs? |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | And did I not put mountains on it like pegs to stop it from shaking? |

| English (Pickthall) | And have appointed your sleep for repose, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And made your sleep for rest, |

| English (Pickthall) | And have appointed the night as a cloak, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And made the night as a covering, |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | And I made the night a cover for you with its darkness, like a garment that you cover your private parts with. |

| English (Pickthall) | And have appointed the day for livelihood. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And made the day as a means of subsistence? |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | And I made the day a field for earning and finding provision. |

| عَرَبِي | وَبَنَينا فَوقَكُم سَبعًا شِدادًا |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa banaina fauqakum sab 'an shi daada |
| English (Pickthall) | And We have built above you seven strong (heavens), |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And (have We not) built over you the seven firmaments, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And constructed above you seven strong [heavens] |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And I made above you seven, solid skies, perfect in their creation. |

| عَرَبِي | وَجَعَلنا سِراجًا وَهّاجًا |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Waja'alna siraajaw wah haaja |
| English (Pickthall) | And have appointed a dazzling lamp, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And placed (therein) a Light of Splendour? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And made [therein] a burning lamp |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And I made the sun an extremely bright and hot lamp. |

| عَرَبِي | وَأَنزَلنا مِنَ المُعصِراتِ ماءً ثَجّاجًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waanzalna mina almuAAsirati maan thajjajan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa anzalna minal m'usiraati maa-an thaj-jaaja |
| English (Pickthall) | And have sent down from the rainy clouds abundant water, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And do We not send down from the clouds water in abundance, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And sent down, from the rain clouds, pouring water |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And I sent some clouds for which the time has come to pour down with abundant rain. |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Linukh rija bihee habbaw wana baata |
| English (Pickthall) | Thereby to produce grain and plant, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | That We may produce therewith corn and vegetables, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | That We may bring forth thereby grain and vegetation |

| English (Pickthall) | And gardens of thick foliage. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And gardens of luxurious growth? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And gardens of entwined growth. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And extract gardens that entwine with one another due to the closeness of the branches of their trees. |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ يَومَ الفَصلِ كانَ ميقاتًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna yawma alfasli kana meeqatan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Inna yaumal-fasli kana miqaata |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! the Day of Decision is a fixed time, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Verily the Day of Sorting out is a thing appointed, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | After Allah mentioned these blessings that prove His power, He followed it up with mention of the resurrection and the Day of Judgement, because the one who is capable of creating these blessings is also capable of resurrecting the dead and taking them to account. He says: Indeed, the day of separation between the creation was appointed and fixed on a time that will not change. |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yauma yun fakhu fis-soori fataa toona afwaaja |
| English (Pickthall) | A day when the trumpet is blown and ye come in multitudes, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The Day that the Trumpet shall be sounded, and ye shall come forth in crowds; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | The Day the Horn is blown and you will come forth in multitudes |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | On that day, the angel will blow into the horn the second time, upon which, O people, you shall come in groups. |

| عَرَبِي | وَفُتِحَتِ السَّماءُ فَكانَت أَبوابًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wafutihati alssamao fakanat abwaban |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa futiha tis samaa-u fakaanat abwaaba |
| English (Pickthall) | And the heaven is opened and becometh as gates, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And the heavens shall be opened as if there were doors, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And the heaven is opened and will become gateways |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And the sky will open up; it will have gaps like open doors. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और आकाश खोल दिया जाएगा तो द्वार ही द्वार हो जाएँगे; |

| عَرَبِي | وَسُيِّرَتِ الجِبالُ فَكانَت سَرابًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wasuyyirati aljibalu fakanat saraban |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa suyyi raatil jibaalu fa kaanat saraaba |
| English (Pickthall) | And the hills are set in motion and become as a mirage. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And the mountains shall vanish, as if they were a mirage. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And the mountains are removed and will be [but] a mirage. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And the mountains will be made to move until they become like dispersed dust particles; becoming like a mirage. |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كانَت مِرصادًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna jahannama kanat mirsadan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Inna jahan nama kaanat mirsaada |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! hell lurketh in ambush, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Truly Hell is as a place of ambush, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, Hell has been lying in wait |

| English (Yusuf Ali) | They will dwell therein for ages. |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Laa ya zooqoona feeha bar daw walaa sharaaba |
| English (Pickthall) | Therein taste they neither coolness nor (any) drink |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Nothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | They will not taste therein [any] coolness or drink |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They will not experience cold breezes in it that will cool them from the heat of the blaze, nor will they taste any drink that they will enjoy. |

| عَرَبِي | إِلّا حَميمًا وَغَسّاقًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Illa hameeman waghassaqan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Illa hamee maw-wa ghas saaqa |
| English (Pickthall) | Save boiling water and a paralysing cold: |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Save a boiling fluid and a fluid, dark, murky, intensely cold, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Except scalding water and [foul] purulence - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They will only taste extremely hot water, and the flowing pus of the people of hell. |

| English (Pickthall) | Reward proportioned (to their evil deeds). |

| Ayah 27 |
| عَرَبِي | إِنَّهُم كانوا لا يَرجونَ حِسابًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Innahum kanoo la yarjoona hisaban |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innahum kaanu laa yarjoona hisaaba |
| English (Pickthall) | For lo! they looked not for a reckoning; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | For that they used not to fear any account (for their deeds), |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, they were not expecting an account |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Indeed, in the world, they did not fear the Allah taking them to account in the afterlife, because they did not bring faith in the resurrection. So if they had feared the resurrection, they would have brought faith in Allah and performed good deeds. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वास्तव में किसी हिसाब की आशा न रखते थे, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | बेशक ये लोग आख़ेरत के हिसाब की उम्मीद ही न रखते थे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निश्चय वे दुनिया में इस बात से नहीं डरते थे कि अल्लाह आख़िरत में उनका हिसाब लेगा। क्योंकि वे मरणोपरांत दोबारा जीवित होने में विश्वास नहीं करते थे। अगर वे दोबारा ज़िंदा होने का भय रखते, तो अल्लाह पर अवश्य ईमान लाते और अच्छे कार्य करते। |
| Ayah 28 |
| عَرَبِي | وَكَذَّبوا بِآياتِنا كِذّابًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wakaththaboo biayatina kiththaban |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa kazzabu bi aayaa tina kizzaba |
| English (Pickthall) | They called Our revelations false with strong denial. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But they (impudently) treated Our Signs as false. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And denied Our verses with [emphatic] denial. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And they vehemently rejected My verses I revealed to My Messenger. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और उन्होंने हमारी आयतों को ख़ूब झुठलाया, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और इन लोगो हमारी आयतों को बुरी तरह झुठलाया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा उन्होंने हमारे रसूल पर उतरने वाली हमारी आयतों को बुरी तरह झुठलाया। |
| Ayah 29 |
| عَرَبِي | وَكُلَّ شَيءٍ أَحصَيناهُ كِتابًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wakulla shayin ahsaynahu kitaban |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa kulla shai-in ahsai naahu kitaa ba |
| English (Pickthall) | Everything have We recorded in a Book. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And all things have We preserved on record. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But all things We have enumerated in writing. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I recorded and counted each of their deeds; they are all written in their books of deeds. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और हमने हर चीज़ लिखकर गिन रखी है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और हमने हर चीज़ को लिख कर मनज़बत कर रखा है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और हमने उनके हर कार्य को संरक्षित कर लिया है और उसे गिन रखा है। और वह उनके कर्मपत्रों में लिखा हुआ है। |
| Ayah 30 |
| عَرَبِي | فَذوقوا فَلَن نَزيدَكُم إِلّا عَذابًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fathooqoo falan nazeedakum illa AAathaban |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa zooqoo falan-nazee dakum ill-laa azaaba |
| English (Pickthall) | So taste (of that which ye have earned). No increase do We give you save of torment. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds); for no increase shall We grant you, except in Punishment." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | "So taste [the penalty], and never will We increase you except in torment." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O transgressors! So endure this everlasting punishment; I will not increase you except in punishment upon your punishment. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | "अब चखो मज़ा कि यातना के अतिरिक्त हम तुम्हारे लिए किसी और चीज़ में बढ़ोत्तरी नहीं करेंगे। " |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो अब तुम मज़ा चखो हमतो तुम पर अज़ाब ही बढ़ाते जाएँगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अब (ऐ सरकशो) तुम इस स्थायी यातना का मज़ा चखो। हम तुम्हारे लिए यातना पर यातना ही बढ़ाते रहेंगे। |
| Ayah 31 |
| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ لِلمُتَّقينَ مَفازًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna lilmuttaqeena mafazan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Inna lil mutta qeena mafaaza |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! for the duteous is achievement - |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Verily for the Righteous there will be a fulfilment of (the heart's) desires; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, for the righteous is attainment - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Indeed, for those who are mindful of their Lord by fulfilling His commands and refraining from the things he has not allowed, there is a point of success they will succeed on, by achieving the Paradise they sought. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | निस्सदेह डर रखनेवालों के लिए एक बड़ी सफलता है, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | बेशक परहेज़गारों के लिए बड़ी कामयाबी है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निश्चय जो लोग अपने पालनहार से, उसके आदेशों का पालन करके और उसके निषेधों से बचकर, डरते हैं, उनके लिए कामयाबी का एक स्थान है, जिसमें वे अपनी मुराद प्राप्त कर लेंगे और वह जन्नत है। |

| عَرَبِي | حَدائِقَ وَأَعنابًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Hadaiqa waaAAnaban |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Hadaa-iqa wa a'anaa ba |
| English (Pickthall) | Gardens enclosed and vineyards, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Gardens enclosed, and grapevines; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Gardens and grapevines |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | It is full of gardens and grapevines. |

| عَرَبِي | وَكَواعِبَ أَترابًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | WakawaAAiba atraban |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa kaawa 'iba at raaba |
| English (Pickthall) | And voluptuous women of equal age; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And voluptuous women of equal age; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And full-breasted [companions] of equal age |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And women of similar ages. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और नवयौवना समान उम्रवाली, |

| عَرَبِي | وَكَأسًا دِهاقًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wakasan dihaqan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa ka'san di haaqa |
| English (Pickthall) | And a full cup. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And a cup full (to the brim). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And a full cup. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And full glasses of wine. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और छलक़ता जाम |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और बाहम हमजोलियाँ हैं और शराब के लबरेज़ साग़र |

| عَرَبِي | لا يَسمَعونَ فيها لَغوًا وَلا كِذّابًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | La yasmaAAoona feeha laghwan wala kiththaban |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Laa yasma'oona fiha lagh waw walaa kizzaba |
| English (Pickthall) | There hear they never vain discourse, nor lying - |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | No vanity shall they hear therein, nor Untruth:- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | No ill speech will they hear therein or any falsehood - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | In Paradise, they will not hear any false speech, nor lies. Neither will they lie to one another. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वे उसमें न तो कोई व्यर्थ बात सुनेंगे और न कोई झुठलाने की बात |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और शराब के लबरेज़ साग़र वहाँ न बेहूदा बात सुनेंगे और न झूठ |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वे जन्नत में कोई निरर्थक बात नहीं सुनेंगे और न कोई झूठ सुनेंगे और न वे एक-दूसरे को झुठलाएँगे। |

| عَرَبِي | جَزاءً مِن رَبِّكَ عَطاءً حِسابًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Jazaan min rabbika AAataan hisaban |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Jazaa-am mir-rabbika ataa-an hisaaba |
| English (Pickthall) | Requital from thy Lord - a gift in payment - |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Recompense from thy Lord, a gift, (amply) sufficient, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [As] reward from your Lord, [a generous] gift [made due by] account, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | All that will be from what Allah will give to them in graciousness and benevolence, and it will be sufficient for them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | यह तुम्हारे रब की ओर से बदला होगा, हिसाब के अनुसार प्रदत्त |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (ये) तुम्हारे परवरदिगार की तरफ से काफ़ी इनाम और सिला है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | यह सब अल्लाह ने उन्हें अपने उपकार एवं एहसान स्वरूप ऐसा प्रदान दिया है जो व्याप्त एवं पर्याप्त है। |
| Ayah 37 |
| عَرَبِي | رَبِّ السَّماواتِ وَالأَرضِ وَما بَينَهُمَا الرَّحمٰنِ ۖ لا يَملِكونَ مِنهُ خِطابًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Rabbi alssamawati waalardi wama baynahuma alrrahmani la yamlikoona minhu khitaban |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Rabbis samaa waati wal ardi wa maa baina humar rahmaani laa yam likoona minhu khi taaba |
| English (Pickthall) | Lord of the heavens and the earth, and (all) that is between them, the Beneficent; with Whom none can converse. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | (From) the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between, (Allah) Most Gracious: None shall have power to argue with Him. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [From] the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Most Merciful. They possess not from Him [authority for] speech. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | He is the Lord of the heavens, the earth and whatever is between them; the benevolent of the world and the afterlife. No one on earth or in the heavens is able to question Him except when He gives them permission. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वह आकाशों और धरती का और जो कुछ उनके बीच है सबका रब है, अत्यन्त कृपाशील है, उसके सामने बात करना उनके बस में नहीं होगा |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जो सारे आसमान और ज़मीन और जो इन दोनों के बीच में है सबका मालिक है बड़ा मेहरबान लोगों को उससे बात का पूरा न होगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो आकाशों और धरती का पालनहार तथा उन दोनों के बीच की समस्त चीज़ों का पालनहार है, जो दुनिया तथा आख़िरत में अत्यंत दयावान् है। धरती या आकाश में मोजूद लोगों में से किसी को भी उससे पूछने का अधिकार नहीं होगा, सिवाय इसके कि वह उन्हें अनुमति प्रदान कर दे। |
| Ayah 38 |
| عَرَبِي | يَومَ يَقومُ الرّوحُ وَالمَلائِكَةُ صَفًّا ۖ لا يَتَكَلَّمونَ إِلّا مَن أَذِنَ لَهُ الرَّحمٰنُ وَقالَ صَوابًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yawma yaqoomu alrroohu waalmalaikatu saffan la yatakallamoona illa man athina lahu alrrahmanu waqala sawaban |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yauma yaqoo mur roohu wal malaa-ikatu saf-fal laa yata kalla moona illa man azina lahur rahmaanu wa qaala sawaaba |
| English (Pickthall) | On the day when the angels and the Spirit stand arrayed, they speak not, saving him whom the Beneficent alloweth and who speaketh right. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand forth in ranks, none shall speak except any who is permitted by (Allah) Most Gracious, and He will say what is right. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | The Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand in rows, they will not speak except for one whom the Most Merciful permits, and he will say what is correct. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | On the day when Gabriel and the angels will stand in rows, not speaking to intercede on behalf of anyone except whom the Benevolent grants them permission to intercede for, and has made a straight statement i.e. the statement of oneness of Allah. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जिस दिन रूह और फ़रिश्ते पक्तिबद्ध खड़े होंगे, वे बोलेंगे नहीं, सिवाय उस व्यक्ति के जिसे रहमान अनुमति दे और जो ठीक बात कहे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जिस दिन जिबरील और फरिश्ते (उसके सामने) पर बाँध कर खड़े होंगे (उस दिन) उससे कोई बात न कर सकेगा मगर जिसे ख़ुदा इजाज़त दे और वह ठिकाने की बात कहे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जिस दिन जिबरील और फ़रिश्ते पंक्तिबद्ध खड़े होंगे, वे किसी की सिफ़ारिश के लिए ज़बान नहीं खोलेंगे, सिवाय उसके जिसके लिए अत्यंत दयावान् (अल्लाह) सिफ़ारिश करने की अनुमति प्रदान कर देगा, और वह ठीक बात कहेगा, जैसे तौह़ीद (एकेश्वरवाद) का कलिमा। |
| Ayah 39 |
| عَرَبِي | ذٰلِكَ اليَومُ الحَقُّ ۖ فَمَن شاءَ اتَّخَذَ إِلىٰ رَبِّهِ مَآبًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Thalika alyawmu alhaqqu faman shaa ittakhatha ila rabbihi maaban |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Zaalikal yaumul haqqu faman shaa-at ta khaaza ill-laa rabbihi ma-aaba |
| English (Pickthall) | That is the True Day. So whoso will should seek recourse unto his Lord. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | That Day will be the sure Reality: Therefore, whoso will, let him take a (straight) return to his Lord! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | That is the True Day; so he who wills may take to his Lord a [way of] return. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | That which has been described to you is the day in which there is no doubt regarding its occurrence. So whoever wishes salvation on it from the punishment of Allah, he should take the path to it through performing good deeds that will please his Lord. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वह दिन सत्य है। अब जो कोई चाहे अपने रब की ओर रुज करे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | वह दिन बरहक़ है तो जो शख़्श चाहे अपने परवरदिगार की बारगाह में (अपना) ठिकाना बनाए |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | यह (दिन) जिसका तुम्हारे सामने वर्णन हुआ, वह दिन है जिसके आने में कोई संदेह नहीं है। अतः जो उस दिन अल्लाह की यातना से बचना चाहता है, वह अपने पालनहार को प्रसन्न करने वाले कार्य करके उसके लिए रास्ता बना ले। |

| عَرَبِي | إِنّا أَنذَرناكُم عَذابًا قَريبًا يَومَ يَنظُرُ المَرءُ ما قَدَّمَت يَداهُ وَيَقولُ الكافِرُ يا لَيتَني كُنتُ تُرابًا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna antharnakum AAathaban qareeban yawma yanthuru almaro ma qaddamat yadahu wayaqoolu alkafiru ya laytanee kuntu turaban |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | In naa anzar naakum azaaban qareebaiy-yauma yan zurul marr-u maa qaddamat yadaahu wa ya qoolul-kaafiru yaa lai tanee kuntu turaaba |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! We warn you of a doom at hand, a day whereon a man will look on that which his own hands have sent before, and the disbeliever will cry: "Would that I were dust!" |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Verily, We have warned you of a Penalty near, the Day when man will see (the deeds) which his hands have sent forth, and the Unbeliever will say, "Woe unto me! Would that I were (metre) dust!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, We have warned you of a near punishment on the Day when a man will observe what his hands have put forth and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, I wish that I were dust!" |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O people! Indeed, I have warned you of an impending punishment which will occur on the day when a person will see what deeds he sent forth in the world, and the disbeliever will say, wishing safety from the punishment: “If only I had become dust like the animals!” when it is said to them on the Day of Judgement: “Become dust”. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | हमने तुम्हें निकट आ लगी यातना से सावधान कर दिया है। जिस दिन मनुष्य देख लेगा जो कुछ उसके हाथों ने आगे भेजा, और इनकार करनेवाला कहेगा, "ऐ काश! कि मैं मिट्टी होता!" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | हमने तुम लोगों को अनक़रीब आने वाले अज़ाब से डरा दिया जिस दिन आदमी अपने हाथों पहले से भेजे हुए (आमाल) को देखेगा और काफ़िर कहेगा काश मैं ख़ाक हो जाता |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हमने (ऐ लोगो) तुम्हें एक ऐसी यातना से सावधान कर दिया है, जो निकट ही घटित होने वाली है। जिस दिन मनुष्य इस दुनिया में अपने किए हुए काम को देख लेगा, और काफ़िर व्यक्ति यातना से मुक्ति की कामना करते हुए कहेगा : ऐ काश कि मैं जानवरों की तरह मिट्टी हो जाता! यह उस समय कहेगा, जब क़ियामत के दिन जानवरों से कहा जाएगा : तुम मिट्टी हो जाओ। |
