| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wahum AAala ma yafAAaloona bialmumineena shuhoodun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa hum 'alaa maa yaf'aloona bilmu 'mineena shuhood |
| English (Pickthall) | And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And they witnessed (all) that they were doing against the Believers. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. |

| عَرَبِي | وَما نَقَموا مِنهُم إِلّا أَن يُؤمِنوا بِاللَّهِ العَزيزِ الحَميدِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wama naqamoo minhum illa an yuminoo biAllahi alAAazeezi alhameedi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa maa naqamoo minhum illaaa aiyu'minoo billaahil 'azeezil Hameed |
| English (Pickthall) | They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | These disbelievers found no fault in the believers except that they had faith in Allah, the Mighty, Whom none can overpower, the One Praised in everything. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और इन काफ़िरों को ईमान वालों की केवल यह बात अप्रिय लगी कि वे उस अल्लाह पर ईमान रखते थे, जो प्रभुत्वशाली है, जिसपर किसी का ज़ोर नहीं चलता, तथा हर चीज़ में प्रशंसनीय हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | الَّذي لَهُ مُلكُ السَّماواتِ وَالأَرضِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ عَلىٰ كُلِّ شَيءٍ شَهيدٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Allathee lahu mulku alssamawati waalardi waAllahu AAala kulli shayin shaheedun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Allazee lahoo mulkus samaawaati wal ard; wallaahu 'alaa kulli shai 'in Shaheed |
| English (Pickthall) | Him unto Whom belongeth the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is of all things the Witness. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ الَّذينَ فَتَنُوا المُؤمِنينَ وَالمُؤمِناتِ ثُمَّ لَم يَتوبوا فَلَهُم عَذابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُم عَذابُ الحَريقِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna allatheena fatanoo almumineena waalmuminati thumma lam yatooboo falahum AAathabu jahannama walahum AAathabu alhareeqi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innal lazeena fatanul mu'mineena wal mu'minaati summa lam yatooboo falahum 'azaabu Jahannama wa lahum 'azaabul hareeq |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who tortured the believing men and women with the fire in order to turn them away from having faith in Allah alone, and then did not repent to Allah from their sins, for them on the day of judgment is the punishment of Hell and for them is the punishment of the Fire that will burn them, as a recompense for their burning the believers in the fire. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निश्चय जिन लोगों ने ईमान वाले पुरुषों और ईमान वाली औरतों को आग की यातना दी, ताकि उन्हें एक अल्लाह पर ईमान लाने से फेर दें, फिर उन्होंने अपने गुनाहों से तौबा नहीं की, तो उनके लिए क़ियामत के दिन जहन्नम की यातना है, तथा उनके लिए ऐसी आग की यातना है, जो उन्हें जला डालेगी; यह उसका बदला है जो उन्होंने ईमान वालों को आग से जलाया था। |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ الَّذينَ آمَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّالِحاتِ لَهُم جَنّاتٌ تَجري مِن تَحتِهَا الأَنهارُ ۚ ذٰلِكَ الفَوزُ الكَبيرُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati lahum jannatun tajree min tahtiha alanharu thalika alfawzu alkabeeru |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati lahum Jannaatun tajree min tahtihal anhaar; zaalikal fawzul kabeer |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Those who have faith in Allah and do good deeds, for them will be gardens under whose palaces and trees rivers flow. That reward, which is prepared for them, is the supreme success that no other success comes close to. |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ بَطشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَديدٌ |

| English (Pickthall) | Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّهُ هُوَ يُبدِئُ وَيُعيدُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Innahu huwa yubdio wayuAAeedu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innahoo Huwa yubdi'u wa yu'eed |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | He begins the creation and the punishment and repeats them. |

| English (Yusuf Ali) | Doer (without let) of all that He intends. |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | Doer of the what He wills such as pardoning the sins of whoever He wills and punishing whoever He wills. There is none that can compel Him, may He be glorified. |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Hal ataaka hadeesul junood |
| English (Pickthall) | Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Has the story reached thee, of the forces- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Has the news of the forces who enlisted to combat and be an obstacle to the truth reached you, O Messenger?! |

| عَرَبِي | بَلِ الَّذينَ كَفَروا في تَكذيبٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Bali allatheena kafaroo fee taktheebin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Balil lazeena kafaroo fee takzeeb |
| English (Pickthall) | Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The obstacle to the faith of these people is not that the incidents of the destruction of the nations who denied did not come to them. Instead, they deny what their messengers brought to them due to following desires. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उनके ईमान न लाने का कारण यह नहीं है कि उनके पास झुठलाने वाले समुदायों और उनके विनाश की खबरें नहीं आई हैं, बल्कि बात यह है कि वे अपनी इच्छाओं के पीछे चलते हुए उस चीज़ को झुठलाते हैं, जो रसूल उनके पास लेकर आए। |

| عَرَبِي | وَاللَّهُ مِن وَرائِهِم مُحيطٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | WaAllahu min waraihim muheetun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallaahu minw waraaa'ihim muheet |
| English (Pickthall) | And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But Allah doth encompass them from behind! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | While Allah encompasses them from behind. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Allah surrounds and keeps a record of their actions. Nothing of that misses him and He will give them the recompense for the same. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अल्लाह उनके कर्मों से अवगत है, उन्हें गिन रखा है, उनमें से कोई चीज़ भी उससे नहीं छूटती है, और वह उन्हें उनका बदला देगा। |
