| عَرَبِي | سَبِّحِ اسمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعلَى |

| English (Pickthall) | Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Declare the transcendence of your Lord Who is High above His creation, by uttering His Name when you remember and revere Him. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ऐ रसूल अपने आलीशान परवरदिगार के नाम की तस्बीह करो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अपने उस पानलहार की पवित्रता का वर्णन करें, जो अपनी सृष्टि के ऊपर है, उसे याद करते और उसका महिमामंडन करते समय अपनी ज़बान से उसका नाम लेते हुए। |
| Ayah 2 |
| عَرَبِي | الَّذي خَلَقَ فَسَوّىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Allathee khalaqa fasawwa |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Allazee khalaqa fasawwaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Who createth, then disposeth; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Who created and proportioned |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The One Who created man in due proportion and balanced his stature. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जिसने पैदा किया, फिर ठीक-ठाक किया, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जिसने (हर चीज़ को) पैदा किया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जिसने इनसान को ठीक-ठाक पैदा किया और उसके क़द को सुगठित और सानुपातिक बनाया। |
| Ayah 3 |
| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذي قَدَّرَ فَهَدىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallathee qaddara fahada |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazee qaddara fahadaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Who measureth, then guideth; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And who destined and [then] guided |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The One Who determined for all created things their species, types and attributes and Who guided every creation to what is appropriate and suitable for it. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जिसने निर्धारित किया, फिर मार्ग दिखाया, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और दुरूस्त किया और जिसने (उसका) अन्दाज़ा मुक़र्रर किया फिर राह बतायी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जिसने जीवों के प्रकार, उनके वर्गों, जातियों और विशेषताओं का निर्धारण किया, और प्रत्येक प्राणी को उस चीज़ की ओर निर्देशित किया, जो उसके उपयुक्त है और उसके साथ मेल खाती है। |

| عَرَبِي | وَالَّذي أَخرَجَ المَرعىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallathee akhraja almarAAa |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallazeee akhrajal mar'aa |
| English (Pickthall) | Who bringeth forth the pasturage, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And who brings out the pasture |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The One Who brought out from the earth what your animals graze on. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जिसने वनस्पति उगाई, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जिसने (हैवानात के लिए) चारा उगाया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और जिसने धरती से चारा उगाया, जिसे तुम्हारे जानवर चरते हैं। |
| Ayah 5 |
| عَرَبِي | فَجَعَلَهُ غُثاءً أَحوىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | FajaAAalahu ghuthaan ahwa |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Faja'alahoo ghusaaa'an ahwaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Then turneth it to russet stubble. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [then] makes it black stubble. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The He made it into dry blackish straw after it had been green and fresh. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | फिर उसे ख़ूब घना और हरा-भरा कर दिया |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | फिर ख़ुश्क उसे सियाह रंग का कूड़ा कर दिया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर उसे काले रंग की सूखी घास बना दी, जबकि वह पहले हरी ताज़ी (घास) थी। |
| Ayah 6 |
| عَرَبِي | سَنُقرِئُكَ فَلا تَنسىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Sanuqrioka fala tansa |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Sanuqri'uka falaa tansaaa |
| English (Pickthall) | We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I will teach you, O Messenger, the Qur’ān, and gather it in your chest so you do not forget it. So do not race with Gabriel in the recitation as you used to do with the desire that you do not forget it. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | हम तुम्हें पढ़ा देंगे, फिर तुम भूलोगे नहीं |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | हम तुम्हें (ऐसा) पढ़ा देंगे कि कभी भूलो ही नहीं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल) हम आपको क़ुरआन पढ़ा देंगे और इसे आपके सीने में इकट्ठा कर देंगे और आप इसे कभी नहीं भूलेंगे। इसलिए इसके पढ़ने में जिबरील से आगे ने बढ़ें, जैसा कि आप भूलने के डर से पहले किया करते थे। |
| Ayah 7 |
| عَرَبِي | إِلّا ما شاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ يَعلَمُ الجَهرَ وَما يَخفىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Illa ma shaa Allahu innahu yaAAlamu aljahra wama yakhfa |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Illaa maa shaaa'al laah; innahoo ya'lamul jahra wa maa yakhfaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Save that which Allah willeth. Lo! He knoweth the disclosed and that which still is hidden; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Except for what Allah wishes you to forget for some reason. He (may He be glorified) knows what is made public and what is hidden. Nothing of that is hidden from Him. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | बात यह है कि अल्लाह की इच्छा ही क्रियान्वित है। निश्चय ही वह जानता है खुले को भी और उसे भी जो छिपा रहे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | मगर जो ख़ुदा चाहे (मन्सूख़ कर दे) बेशक वह खुली बात को भी जानता है और छुपे हुए को भी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | सिवाय इसके कि अल्लाह यह चाहे कि किसी हिकमत के तहत आप उसमें से कोई बात भूल जाएँ। निश्चय अल्लाह खुली तथा छिपी सभी बातों को जानता है। उससे इसमें से कोई बात छिपी नहीं है। |
| Ayah 8 |
| عَرَبِي | وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِليُسرىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wanuyassiruka lilyusra |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa nu-yassiruka lilyusraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And We will ease you toward ease. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I will make it easy for you to do actions that please Allah and enter you into Paradise. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | हम तुम्हें सहज ढंग से उस चीज़ की पात्र बना देंगे जो सहज एवं मृदुल (आरामदायक) है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और हम तुमको आसान तरीके की तौफ़ीक़ देंगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और हम आपके लिए जन्नत में दाख़िल करने वाले ऐसे कार्य करना आसान कर देंगे, जो अल्लाह को प्रसन्न करने वाले हैं। |
| Ayah 9 |
| عَرَبِي | فَذَكِّر إِن نَفَعَتِ الذِّكرىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fathakkir in nafaAAati alththikra |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fazakkir in nafa'atizzikraa |
| English (Pickthall) | Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So remind, if the reminder should benefit; |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So give counsel to people with the Qur’ān that I reveal to you and remind them as long as the reminder is heard. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अतः नसीहत करो, यदि नसीहत लाभप्रद हो! |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो जहाँ तक समझाना मुफ़ीद हो समझते रहो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अतः आप लोगों को उस क़ुरआन के द्वारा नसीहत करते रहें, जिसकी हम आपकी ओर वह़्य (प्रकाशना) करते हैं, तथा जब तक उपदेश सुनी जाती है, तब तक उन्हें उपदेश देते रहें। |
| Ayah 10 |
| عَرَبِي | سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخشىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Sayaththakkaru man yakhsha |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Sa yazzakkaru maiyakhshaa |
| English (Pickthall) | He will heed who feareth, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The one who fears Allah will pay heed to your counsel, because he is the one who benefits from counsel. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | नसीहत हासिल कर लेगा जिसको डर होगा, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जो खौफ रखता हो वह तो फौरी समझ जाएगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | आपके उपदेशों से वही व्यक्ति सीख ग्रहण करेगा, जो अल्लाह से डरता है। क्योंकि वही उपदेश से लाभान्वित होता है। |
| Ayah 11 |
| عَرَبِي | وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الأَشقَى |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wayatajannabuha alashqa |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa yatajannabuhal ashqaa |
| English (Pickthall) | But the most hapless will flout it, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But the wretched one will avoid it - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The disbeliever will keep away and alienate himself from the counsel, because he is the most wretched person in the afterlife as he will enter the Fire. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | किन्तु उससे कतराएगा वह अत्यन्त दुर्भाग्यवाला, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और बदबख्त उससे पहलू तही करेगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और काफ़िर उपदेश से दूर और अलग रहेगा, क्योंकि वह आख़िरत में जहन्नम में दाखिल होने के कारण लोगों में सबसे बड़ा अभागा ठहरेगा। |
| Ayah 12 |
| عَرَبِي | الَّذي يَصلَى النّارَ الكُبرىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Allathee yasla alnnara alkubra |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Allazee yaslan Naaral kubraa |
| English (Pickthall) | He who will be flung to the great Fire |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Who will enter the Great Fire, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The one who will enter the great Fire of the afterlife to suffer and bear its heat forever. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | जो बड़ी आग में पड़ेगा, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | जो (क़यामत में) बड़ी (तेज़) आग में दाख़िल होगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जो आख़िरत की सबसे बड़ी आग में दाखिल होगा और हमेशा के लिए उसकी तपिश और गर्मी को झेलेगा। |
| Ayah 13 |
| عَرَبِي | ثُمَّ لا يَموتُ فيها وَلا يَحيىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Thumma la yamootu feeha wala yahya |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Summa laa yamootu feehaa wa laa yahyaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Wherein he will neither die nor live. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | In which they will then neither die nor live. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Neither dying therein nor living. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Then he will remain forever in the Fire without dying therein and being relieved of the punishment he suffers from, and without living a good and decent life. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | फिर वह उसमें न मरेगा न जिएगा |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | फिर न वहाँ मरेगा ही न जीयेगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर वह हमेशा के लिए जहन्नम में रहेगा, न तो उसमें मरेगा कि उस यातना से आराम पा जाए, जो वह झेल रहा होगा, और न ही वह एक अच्छा और सम्मानजनक जीवन जिएगा। |
| Ayah 14 |
| عَرَبِي | قَد أَفلَحَ مَن تَزَكّىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Qad aflaha man tazakka |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Qad aflaha man tazakkaa |
| English (Pickthall) | He is successful who groweth, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But those will prosper who purify themselves, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The one who purified himself from idolatry and sins has attained the objective. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | सफल हो गया वह जिसने अपने आपको निखार लिया, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | वह यक़ीनन मुराद दिली को पहुँचा जो (शिर्क से) पाक हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वह व्यक्ति सफल हो गया, जिसने अपने आपको शिर्क और गुनाहों से पाक कर लिया। |
| Ayah 15 |
| عَرَبِي | وَذَكَرَ اسمَ رَبِّهِ فَصَلّىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wathakara isma rabbihi fasalla |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa zakaras ma Rabbihee fasallaa |
| English (Pickthall) | And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Who remembered his Lord by the various forms of remembrance that He ordained. Who discharged the prayer in the required manner. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और अपने रब के नाम का स्मरण किया, अतः नमाज़ अदा की |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और अपने परवरदिगार का ज़िक्र करता और नमाज़ पढ़ता रहा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और अपने पालनहार को, उसके निर्धारित किए हुए अज़कार (दुआओं) के साथ याद किया और उसी तरीक़े से नमाज़ पढ़ी, जिस तरीक़े से पढ़ना आवश्यक है। |
| Ayah 16 |
| عَرَبِي | بَل تُؤثِرونَ الحَياةَ الدُّنيا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Bal tuthiroona alhayata alddunya |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Bal tu'siroonal hayaatad dunyaa |
| English (Pickthall) | But ye prefer the life of the world |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But you prefer the worldly life, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | But, you give preference to the worldly life and prefer it over the afterlife despite the huge disparity between them. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | नहीं, बल्कि तुम तो सांसारिक जीवन को प्राथमिकता देते हो, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | मगर तुम लोग दुनियावी ज़िन्दगी को तरजीह देते हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | बल्कि तुम दुनिया के जीवन को प्रधान रखते हो और उसे आख़िरत पर वरीयता देते हो, हालाँकि दोनों के बीच भारी असमानता है। |
| Ayah 17 |
| عَرَبِي | وَالآخِرَةُ خَيرٌ وَأَبقىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waalakhiratu khayrun waabqa |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wal Aakhiratu khairunw wa abqaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The Hereafter is indeed, better and superior to the world and the enjoyments and pleasures it contains, and it is more lasting, because the bliss it contains does not ever end. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | हालाँकि आख़िरत अधिक उत्तम और शेष रहनेवाली है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | हालॉकि आख़ोरत कहीं बेहतर और देर पा है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हालाँकि आख़िरत अधिक उत्तम और दुनिया तथा उसके आनंदों एवं सुख-सामग्रियों से बेहतर और अधिक स्थायी है, क्योंकि उसकी नेमतें कभी समाप्त नहीं होंगी। |
| Ayah 18 |
| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ هٰذا لَفِي الصُّحُفِ الأولىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna hatha lafee alssuhufi aloola |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Inna haazaa lafis suhu fil oolaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! This is in the former scrolls. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation),- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | These instructions and stories that I mentioned to you are in the scriptures revealed before you. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | निस्संदेह यही बात पहले की किताबों में भी है; |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | बेशक यही बात अगले सहीफ़ों |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ये आदेश और समाचार, जिनका हमने आपसे उल्लेख किया है, निश्चय क़ुरआन से पहले उतरने वाले सह़ीफ़ों (दिव्य ग्रंथों) में भी मौजूद थे। |
| Ayah 19 |
| عَرَبِي | صُحُفِ إِبراهيمَ وَموسىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Suhufi ibraheema wamoosa |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Suhufi Ibraaheema wa Moosaa |
| English (Pickthall) | The Books of Abraham and Moses. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The Books of Abraham and Moses. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | These are the scriptures revealed to Abraham and Moses (peace be upon them). |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | इबराईम और मूसा की किताबों में |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | इबराहीम और मूसा के सहीफ़ों में भी है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ये इबराहीम और मूसा अलैहिमस्सलाम पर उतरने वाले सह़ीफ़े हैं। |
