| عَرَبِي | وَاللَّيلِ إِذا يَسرِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waallayli itha yasri |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wallaili izaa yasr |
| English (Pickthall) | And the night when it departeth, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And by the Night when it passeth away;- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [by] the night when it passes, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And He takes an oath on the night when it arrives, continues and goes away. The complement of these oaths is: you will definitely be requited for your actions. |

| عَرَبِي | هَل في ذٰلِكَ قَسَمٌ لِذي حِجرٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Hal fee thalika qasamun lithee hijrin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Hal fee zaalika qasamul lizee hijr |
| English (Pickthall) | There surely is an oath for thinking man. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Is there (not) in these an adjuration (or evidence) for those who understand? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Is there [not] in [all] that an oath [sufficient] for one of perception? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | In any of the aforementioned, is there any oath that benefits the intelligent one? |

| عَرَبِي | أَلَم تَرَ كَيفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعادٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Alam tara kayfa faAAala rabbuka biAAadin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Alam tara kaifa fa'ala rabbuka bi'aad |
| English (Pickthall) | Dost thou not consider how thy Lord dealt with (the tribe of) A'ad, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Seest thou not how thy Lord dealt with the 'Ad (people),- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Aad - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! Do you not see what your Lord did with the ‘Ād i.e. the people of Hud, when they rejected their Messenger? |

| عَرَبِي | إِرَمَ ذاتِ العِمادِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Irama thati alAAimadi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Iramaa zaatil 'imaad |
| English (Pickthall) | With many-columned Iram, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Of the (city of) Iram, with lofty pillars, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [With] Iram - who had lofty pillars, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The tribe of ‘Ād that traced to its forefather, the tall Iram. |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Allatee lam yukhlaq mithluha fee albiladi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Allatee lam yukhlaq misluhaa fil bilaad |
| English (Pickthall) | The like of which was not created in the lands; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The like of which were not produced in (all) the land? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | The likes of whom had never been created in the land? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The likes of which Allah never created in the cities. |

| عَرَبِي | وَثَمودَ الَّذينَ جابُوا الصَّخرَ بِالوادِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wathamooda allatheena jaboo alssakhra bialwadi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa samoodal lazeena jaabus sakhra bil waad |
| English (Pickthall) | And with (the tribe of) Thamud, who clove the rocks in the valley; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And with the Thamud (people), who cut out (huge) rocks in the valley?- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [with] Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And do you not see what your Lord did with the Thamūd i.e. the tribe of Saleh, who would carve the stones of the mountains, making houses out of them. |

| عَرَبِي | وَفِرعَونَ ذِي الأَوتادِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | WafirAAawna thee alawtadi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa fir'awna zil awtaad |
| English (Pickthall) | And with Pharaoh, firm of might, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And with Pharaoh, lord of stakes? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [with] Pharaoh, owner of the stakes? - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And do you not see what your Lord did to Pharaoh, who had pegs with which he punished the people? |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और मेखोवाले फ़िरऔन के साथ? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और फिरऔन के साथ (क्या किया) जो (सज़ा के लिए) मेख़े रखता था |

| Ayah 11 |
| عَرَبِي | الَّذينَ طَغَوا فِي البِلادِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Allatheena taghaw fee albiladi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Allazeena taghaw fil bilaad |
| English (Pickthall) | Who (all) were rebellious (to Allah) in these lands, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | (All) these transgressed beyond bounds in the lands, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [All of] whom oppressed within the lands |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | All these people transgressed the limit in tyranny and oppression; each of them transgressed it in his land. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वे लोग कि जिन्होंने देशो में सरकशी की, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ये लोग मुख़तलिफ़ शहरों में सरकश हो रहे थे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | ये सभी लोग अत्याचार और अन्याय में सीमा पार कर गए। हर एक ने अपने-अपने देश में सीमा पार किया। |
| Ayah 12 |
| عَرَبِي | فَأَكثَروا فيهَا الفَسادَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faaktharoo feeha alfasada |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa aksaroo feehal fasaad |
| English (Pickthall) | And multiplied iniquity therein? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And heaped therein mischief (on mischief). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And increased therein the corruption. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | They caused an abundance of corruption due to spreading disbelief and sins. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और उनमें बहुत बिगाड़ पैदा किया |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और उनमें बहुत से फ़साद फैला रखे थे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उन्होंने उन नगरों में, कुफ़्र और पाप फैलाकर, बहुत अधिक बिगाड़ पैदा किया। |
| Ayah 13 |
| عَرَبِي | فَصَبَّ عَلَيهِم رَبُّكَ سَوطَ عَذابٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fasabba AAalayhim rabbuka sawta AAathabin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fasabba 'alaihim Rabbuka sawta 'azaab |
| English (Pickthall) | Therefore thy Lord poured on them the disaster of His punishment. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Therefore did thy Lord pour on them a scourge of diverse chastisements: |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So your Lord poured upon them a scourge of punishment. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So Allah made them suffer His severe punishment, and annihilated them off the earth. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अततः तुम्हारे रब ने उनपर यातना का कोड़ा बरसा दिया |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो तुम्हारे परवरदिगार ने उन पर अज़ाब का कोड़ा लगाया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तो अल्लाह ने उन्हें गंभीर यातना चखाई और उन्हें धरती से उखाड़ फेंका। |
| Ayah 14 |
| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِالمِرصادِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna rabbaka labialmirsadi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Inna Rabbaka labil mirsaad |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! thy Lord is ever watchful. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | For thy Lord is (as a Guardian) on a watch-tower. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, your Lord is in observation. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! Indeed, your Lord watches over and observes the actions of the people, so that He can requite whoever does good with Paradise, and whoever does evil with the hellfire. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | निस्संदेह तुम्हारा रब घात में रहता है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | बेशक तुम्हारा परवरदिगार ताक में है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल) निश्चय आपका पालनहार लोगों के कर्मों को देख रहा है और उनका निरीक्षण कर रहा है, ताकि अच्छा कार्य करने वाले को जन्नत के साथ और बुरा कार्य करने वाले को जहन्नम के साथ पुरस्कृत करे। |

| عَرَبِي | فَأَمَّا الإِنسانُ إِذا مَا ابتَلاهُ رَبُّهُ فَأَكرَمَهُ وَنَعَّمَهُ فَيَقولُ رَبّي أَكرَمَنِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faamma alinsanu itha ma ibtalahu rabbuhu faakramahu wanaAAAAamahu fayaqoolu rabbee akramani |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa ammal insaanu izaa mab talaahu Rabbuhoo fa akramahoo wa na' 'amahoo fa yaqoolu Rabbeee akraman |
| English (Pickthall) | As for man, whenever his Lord trieth him by honouring him, and is gracious unto him, he saith: My Lord honoureth me. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Now, as for man, when his Lord trieth him, giving him honour and gifts, then saith he, (puffed up), "My Lord hath honoured me." |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Because the nations Allah destroyed were blessed with power and strength, Allah explains that blessing them with such is not proof of His being pleased with them. He says: As for the human, it is in his nature that when he is tested by his Lord and He favours him by blessing him with wealth, honour and offspring, he thinks that it is because of his nobility in the eyes of Allah. He says: “My Lord has favoured me because of me being worthy of being favoured.” |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जहाँ तक इनसान का मामला है, तो उसका स्वभाव यह है कि यदि उसका पालनहार उसका परीक्षण करे और उसे सम्मानित करे, तथा उसे धन, संतान और प्रतिष्ठा प्रदान करे, तो वह सोचता है कि यह उसे अल्लाह के निकट सम्मान प्राप्त होने के कारण है। चुनाँचे वह कहता है : मेरे पालनहार ने मुझे सम्मानित किया, क्योंकि मैं उसके सम्मान के योग्य था। |
| Ayah 16 |
| عَرَبِي | وَأَمّا إِذا مَا ابتَلاهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيهِ رِزقَهُ فَيَقولُ رَبّي أَهانَنِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waamma itha ma ibtalahu faqadara AAalayhi rizqahu fayaqoolu rabbee ahanani |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa ammaaa izaa mabtalaahu faqadara 'alaihi rizqahoo fa yaqoolu Rabbeee ahaanan |
| English (Pickthall) | But whenever He trieth him by straitening his means of life, he saith: My Lord despiseth me. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But when He trieth him, restricting his subsistence for him, then saith he (in despair), "My Lord hath humiliated me!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And as for when He tests him by restricting his sustenance, he thinks it is because of his insignificance in the eyes of his Lord. So he says: “My Lord has disgraced me.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | किन्तु जब कभी वह उसकी परीक्षा इस प्रकार करता है कि उसकी रोज़ी नपी-तुली कर देता है, तो वह कहता है, "मेरे रब ने मेरा अपमान किया।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | मगर जब उसको (इस तरह) आज़माता है कि उस पर रोज़ी को तंग कर देता है बोल उठता है कि मेरे परवरदिगार ने मुझे ज़लील किया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | लेकिन जब अल्लाह उसका परीक्षण करे और उसकी आजीविका उसके लिए तंग कर दे, तो वह सोचता है कि इसका कारण यह है कि उसके पालनहार के पास उसका कोई सम्मान नहीं है। चुनाँचे वह कहता है : मेरे पालनहार ने मुझे अपमानित किया। |
| Ayah 17 |
| عَرَبِي | كَلّا ۖ بَل لا تُكرِمونَ اليَتيمَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Kalla bal la tukrimoona alyateema |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Kalla bal laa tukrimooo nal yateem |
| English (Pickthall) | Nay, but ye (for your part) honour not the orphan |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Nay, nay! but ye honour not the orphans! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | No! But you do not honor the orphan |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Never! It is not as this human thinks, that favouring is proof of Allah being pleased with His servant, and that misfortune is proof of the servant’s insignificance in the eyes of his Lord. Rather, the reality is that you do not show generosity towards the orphan from the sustenance Allah has provided you with. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | कदापि नहीं, बल्कि तुम अनाथ का सम्मान नहीं करते, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | हरगिज़ नहीं बल्कि तुम लोग न यतीम की ख़ातिरदारी करते हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हरगिज़ नहीं, यह मामला ऐसा नहीं है, जैसा कि इस व्यक्ति ने कल्पना की है कि नेमत बंदे से अल्लाह के खुश होने का प्रमाण है और सज़ा बंदे से अल्लाह के नाराज़ होने का प्रमाण है। बल्कि, वास्तविकता यह है कि अल्लाह ने तुम्हें जो जीविका प्रदान की है, तुम उससे अनाथ का सम्मान नहीं करते हो। |
| Ayah 18 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلا تَحاضّونَ عَلىٰ طَعامِ المِسكينِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wala tahaddoona AAala taAAami almiskeeni |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laa tahaaaddoona 'alaata'aamil miskeen |
| English (Pickthall) | And urge not on the feeding of the poor. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Nor do ye encourage one another to feed the poor!- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And you do not encourage one another to feed the poor. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Neither do any of you encourage the other in feeding the poor person who cannot find anything to consume. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और न मुहताज को खिलान पर एक-दूसरे को उभारते हो, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और न मोहताज को खाना खिलाने की तरग़ीब देते हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा तुम उस ग़रीब को भोजन कराने के लिए एक-दूसरे से आग्रह नहीं करते हो, जिसके पास खाने के लिए कुछ नहीं होता। |
| Ayah 19 |
| عَرَبِي | وَتَأكُلونَ التُّراثَ أَكلًا لَمًّا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Watakuloona altturatha aklan lamman |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa taakuloonat turaasa aklal lammaa |
| English (Pickthall) | And ye devour heritages with devouring greed. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And ye devour inheritance - all with greed, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And you consume inheritance, devouring [it] altogether, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | You relentlessly devour the rights of the weak, i.e. the women and orphans, without consideration for its permissibility. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और सारी मीरास समेटकर खा जाते हो, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और मीरारा के माल (हलाल व हराम) को समेट कर चख जाते हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और तुम कमज़ोरों; महिलाओं और अनाथों के हक़ों को, हलाल-हराम की परवाह किए बिना, बुरी तरह खा जाते हो। |
| Ayah 20 |
| عَرَبِي | وَتُحِبّونَ المالَ حُبًّا جَمًّا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Watuhibboona almala hubban jamman |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa tuhibboonal maala hubban jammaa |
| English (Pickthall) | And love wealth with abounding love. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And ye love wealth with inordinate love! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And you love wealth with immense love. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And you intensely love wealth, being miserly in spending it in the path of Allah, due to your greed of it. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और धन से उत्कट प्रेम रखते हो |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और माल को बहुत ही अज़ीज़ रखते हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और तुम धन से बहुत प्यार करते हो। इसलिए उसे अल्लाह के मार्ग में खर्च करने में कंजूसी करते हो। |
| Ayah 21 |
| عَرَبِي | كَلّا إِذا دُكَّتِ الأَرضُ دَكًّا دَكًّا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Kalla itha dukkati alardu dakkan dakkan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Kallaaa izaaa dukkatil ardu dakkan dakka |
| English (Pickthall) | Nay, but when the earth is ground to atoms, grinding, grinding, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Nay! When the earth is pounded to powder, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | No! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed - |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | These actions are not befitting of you. Remember when the earth will be moved vigorously and shaken. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | कुछ नहीं, जब धरती कूट-कूटकर चुर्ण-विचुर्ण कर दी जाएगी, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | सुन रखो कि जब ज़मीन कूट कूट कर रेज़ा रेज़ा कर दी जाएगी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तुम्हें हरगिज़ ऐसा नहीं करना चाहिए, और उस समय को याद रखो, जब धरती ज़ोर-ज़ोर से हिला दी जाएगी। |
| Ayah 22 |
| عَرَبِي | وَجاءَ رَبُّكَ وَالمَلَكُ صَفًّا صَفًّا |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wajaa rabbuka waalmalaku saffan saffan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa jaaa'a Rabbuka wal malaku saffan saffaa |
| English (Pickthall) | And thy Lord shall come with angels, rank on rank, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And thy Lord cometh, and His angels, rank upon rank, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And your Lord has come and the angels, rank upon rank, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And your Lord will come, O Messenger, to pass judgement between His servants, and the angels will also come arranged in rows. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और तुम्हारा रब और फ़रिश्ता (बन्दों की) एक-एक पंक्ति के पास आएगा, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और तुम्हारे परवरदिगार का हुक्म और फ़रिश्ते कतार के कतार आ जाएँगे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और (ऐ रसूल) आपका पालनहार बंदों के बीच निर्णय करने के लिए आएगा और फ़रिश्ते भी पंक्तिबद्ध होकर आ जाएँगे। |
| Ayah 23 |
| عَرَبِي | وَجِيءَ يَومَئِذٍ بِجَهَنَّمَ ۚ يَومَئِذٍ يَتَذَكَّرُ الإِنسانُ وَأَنّىٰ لَهُ الذِّكرىٰ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wajeea yawmaithin bijahannama yawmaithin yatathakkaru alinsanu waanna lahu alththikra |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa jeee'a yawma'izim bi jahannnam; Yawma 'iziny yatazakkarul insaanu wa annaa lahuz zikraa |
| English (Pickthall) | And hell is brought near that day; on that day man will remember, but how will the remembrance (then avail him)? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And Hell, that Day, is brought (face to face),- on that Day will man remember, but how will that remembrance profit him? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And brought [within view], that Day, is Hell - that Day, man will remember, but what good to him will be the remembrance? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And on that day, hell will be brought with it having seventy thousand reins, each rein being pulled by seventy thousand angels. On that day, the human will remember his shortcomings in the rights of Allah, but that remembrance on that day will not benefit him in the slightest, because it will be a Day of Requital, not action! |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और जहन्नम को उस दिन लाया जाएगा, उस दिन मनुष्य चेतेगा, किन्तु कहाँ है उसके लिए लाभप्रद उस समय का चेतना? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और उस दिन जहन्नुम सामने कर दी जाएगी उस दिन इन्सान चौंकेगा मगर अब चौंकना कहाँ (फ़ायदा देगा) |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उस दिन जहन्नम को इस तरह लाया जाएगा कि उसकी सत्तर हज़ार लगामें होंगी। हर लगाम के साथ सत्तर हज़ार फ़रिश्ते होंगे जो उसे खींच रहे होंगे। उस दिन इनसान याद करेगा कि उसने अल्लाह के पक्ष में क्या-क्या कोताही की है। लेकिन उस दिन याद करना उसे कहाँ से लाभ देगा; क्योंकि वह प्रतिदान दिवस है, कार्य दिवस नहीं?! |
| Ayah 24 |
| عَرَبِي | يَقولُ يا لَيتَني قَدَّمتُ لِحَياتي |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yaqoolu ya laytanee qaddamtu lihayatee |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yaqoolu yaa laitanee qaddamtu lihayaatee |
| English (Pickthall) | He will say: Ah, would that I had sent before me (some provision) for my life! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | He will say: "Ah! Would that I had sent forth (good deeds) for (this) my (Future) Life!" |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | He will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | He will say out of intense regret: “If only I had sent forth good deeds for my life Hereafter, which is the real life.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वह कहेगा, "ऐ काश! मैंने अपने जीवन के लिए कुछ करके आगे भेजा होता।" |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (उस वक्त) क़हेगा कि काश मैने अपनी (इस) ज़िन्दगी के वास्ते कुछ पहले भेजा होता |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वह बड़े अफ़सोस के साथ कहेगा : ऐ काश! मैंने अपने इस आख़िरत के जीवन के लिए नेक कार्य किए होते, जो वास्तविक जीवन है। |
| Ayah 25 |
| عَرَبِي | فَيَومَئِذٍ لا يُعَذِّبُ عَذابَهُ أَحَدٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fayawmaithin la yuAAaththibu AAathabahu ahadun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa Yawma izil laa yu'azzibu 'azaabahooo ahad |
| English (Pickthall) | None punisheth as He will punish on that day! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | For, that Day, His Chastisement will be such as none (else) can inflict, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So on that Day, none will punish [as severely] as His punishment, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | On that day no one will penalise like the penalising of Allah, because the penalising of Allah is most severe and lasting. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | फिर उस दिन कोई नहीं जो उसकी जैसी यातना दे, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो उस दिन ख़ुदा ऐसा अज़ाब करेगा कि किसी ने वैसा अज़ाब न किया होगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उस दिन अल्लाह की यातना की तरह कोई यातना नहीं देगा, क्योंकि अल्लाह की यातना अधिक गंभीर और स्थायी है। |
| Ayah 26 |
| عَرَبِي | وَلا يوثِقُ وَثاقَهُ أَحَدٌ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wala yoothiqu wathaqahu ahadun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa laa yoosiqu wasaaqa hooo ahad |
| English (Pickthall) | None bindeth as He then will bind. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And His bonds will be such as none (other) can bind. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And none will bind [as severely] as His binding [of the evildoers]. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Neither will anyone bind in chains like His binding of the disbelievers in chains. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और कोई नहीं जो उसकी जकड़बन्द की तरह बाँधे |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और न कोई उसके जकड़ने की तरह जकड़ेगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और न उसके काफ़िरों को ज़ंजीरों में बाँधने की तरह कोई बाँधेगा। |
| Ayah 27 |
| عَرَبِي | يا أَيَّتُهَا النَّفسُ المُطمَئِنَّةُ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ya ayyatuha alnnafsu almutmainnatu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yaaa ayyatuhan nafsul mutma 'innah |
| English (Pickthall) | But ah! thou soul at peace! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | (To the righteous soul will be said:) "O (thou) soul, in (complete) rest and satisfaction! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | [To the righteous it will be said], "O reassured soul, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | After Allah mentioned the requital of the disbelievers, He mentions the requital of the believers. He says: As for the soul of the believer, it will be told at the time of death and on the Day of Judgement: “O the soul contented with faith and good deeds!” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | "ऐ संतुष्ट आत्मा! |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (और कुछ लोगों से कहेगा) ऐ इत्मेनान पाने वाली जान |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जहाँ तक मोमिन की आत्मा की बात है, तो उसे मौत के समय और क़ियामत के दिन कहा जाएगा : ऐ ईमान और नेक कार्य से संतुष्ट आत्मा! |
| Ayah 28 |
| عَرَبِي | ارجِعي إِلىٰ رَبِّكِ راضِيَةً مَرضِيَّةً |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | IrjiAAee ila rabbiki radiyatan mardiyyatan |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Irji'eee ilaa Rabbiki raadiyatam mardiyyah |
| English (Pickthall) | Return unto thy Lord, content in His good pleasure! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "Come back thou to thy Lord,- well pleased (thyself), and well-pleasing unto Him! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Return to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him], |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | “Return to your Lord, pleased with Him because of the abundant reward you will receive, and with Him may He be glorified being pleased with you because of your good deeds.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | लौट अपने रब की ओर, इस तरह कि तू उससे राज़ी है वह तुझसे राज़ी है। अतः मेरे बन्दों में सम्मिलित हो जा। - |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | अपने परवरदिगार की तरफ़ चल तू उससे ख़ुश वह तुझ से राज़ी |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अपने पालनहार की ओर लौट चल, इस हाल में कि तू भरपूर बदला पाकर उससे संतुष्ट है, और अपने अच्छे कार्यों के कारण उसके निकट पसंदीदा (संतोषजनक) है। |

| عَرَبِي | فَادخُلي في عِبادي |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faodkhulee fee AAibadee |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fadkhulee fee 'ibaadee |
| English (Pickthall) | Enter thou among My bondmen! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "Enter thou, then, among My devotees! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And enter among My [righteous] servants |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | “Now enter along with My pious servants.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अतः मेरे बन्दों में सम्मिलित हो जा |

| عَرَبِي | وَادخُلي جَنَّتي |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waodkhulee jannatee |

| English (Pickthall) | Enter thou My Garden! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | "Yea, enter thou My Heaven! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And enter My Paradise." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | “And enter with them into My Paradise, which I have prepared for them.” |
