| English (Abridged Expl.) | Allah takes an oath on the fig and the place it grows, and the olive and the place it grows: the land of Palestine where Jesus (peace be upon him) was sent as a Messenger. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | इन्जीर और ज़ैतून की क़सम |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अल्लाह ने अंजीर की एवं ज़ैतून की तथा फिलिस्तीन की भूमि में उनके पैदा होने की जगह की क़सम खाई है, जहाँ ईसा अलैहिस्सलाम भेजे गए थे। |

| عَرَبِي | وَطورِ سينينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Watoori seeneena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa toori sineen |
| English (Pickthall) | By Mount Sinai, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And the Mount of Sinai, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [by] Mount Sinai |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And He takes an oath on Mount Sinai, near where Allah conversed intimately with Moses (peace be upon him). |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और तूर सीनीन, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और तूर सीनीन की |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और सीना (सीनाई) पर्वत की क़सम खाई है, जिसके पास अल्लाह ने अपने नबी मूसा अलैहिस्सलाम से बात की थी। |
| Ayah 3 |
| عَرَبِي | وَهٰذَا البَلَدِ الأَمينِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wahatha albaladi alameeni |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa haazal balad-il ameen |
| English (Pickthall) | And by this land made safe; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And this City of security,- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [by] this secure city [Makkah], |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And He takes an oath on Makkah, the sacred city which gives sanctuary to whoever enters it, and in which Muhammad (peace be upon him) was sent as a Messenger. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और उस अमन वाले शहर (मक्का) की |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा उसने बलद-ए-हराम (पवित्र नग) मक्का की क़सम खाई है, जिसमें जो कोई भी प्रवेश करेगा वह सुरक्षित रहेगा, जिसमें मुहम्मद सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम नबी बनाकर भेजे गए थे। |

| عَرَبِي | لَقَد خَلَقنَا الإِنسانَ في أَحسَنِ تَقويمٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Laqad khalaqna alinsana fee ahsani taqweemin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Laqad khalaqnal insaana fee ahsani taqweem |
| English (Pickthall) | Surely We created man of the best stature |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | We have indeed created man in the best of moulds, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | We have certainly created man in the best of stature; |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Verily, I have created the human in the most balanced of ways and the best appearance. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | निस्संदेह हमने मनुष्य को सर्वोत्तम संरचना के साथ पैदा किया |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | कि हमने इन्सान बहुत अच्छे कैड़े का पैदा किया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हमने इनसान को सबसे अनुकूल संरचना और सबसे अच्छे रूप में पैदा किया है। |
| Ayah 5 |
| عَرَبِي | ثُمَّ رَدَدناهُ أَسفَلَ سافِلينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Thumma radadnahu asfala safileena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Thumma ra dad naahu asfala saafileen |
| English (Pickthall) | Then we reduced him to the lowest of the low, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Then do We abase him (to be) the lowest of the low,- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Then We return him to the lowest of the low, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Then I return him to old age and childishness in the world, so he cannot benefit fully from his body, when he ruins his nature and goes towards the hellfire. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | फिर हमने उसे निकृष्टतम दशा की ओर लौटा दिया, जबकि वह स्वयं गिरनेवाला बना |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | फिर हमने उसे (बूढ़ा करके रफ्ता रफ्ता) पस्त से पस्त हालत की तरफ फेर दिया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | पिर हमने उसे दुनिया में बुढ़ापे और सठियाव की ओर लौटा दिया, इसलिए वह अपने शरीर से लाभ नहीं उठा सकता, जैसे कि अगर वह अपना स्वभाव बिगाड़ ले और जहन्नम में चला जाए, तो वह अपने शरीर से लाभ नहीं उठा सकेगा। |
| Ayah 6 |
| عَرَبِي | إِلَّا الَّذينَ آمَنوا وَعَمِلُوا الصّالِحاتِ فَلَهُم أَجرٌ غَيرُ مَمنونٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Illa allatheena amanoo waAAamiloo alssalihati falahum ajrun ghayru mamnoonin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Ill-lal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati; falahum ajrun ghairu mamnoon |
| English (Pickthall) | Save those who believe and do good works, and theirs is a reward unfailing. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Except such as believe and do righteous deeds: For they shall have a reward unfailing. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Except for those who believe and do righteous deeds, for they will have a reward uninterrupted. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Except for those who have faith in Allah and do good deeds, because they, despite growing old, will get an everlasting reward i.e. Paradise, because they kept their nature pure. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | सिवाय उन लोगों के जो ईमान लाए और जिन्होंने अच्छे कर्म किए, तो उनके लिए कभी न समाप्त होनेवाला बदला है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | मगर जो लोग ईमान लाए और अच्छे (अच्छे) काम करते रहे उनके लिए तो बे इन्तेहा अज्र व सवाब है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | परंतु जो लोग अल्लाह पर ईमान लाए और अच्छे कार्य किए, वे यद्यपि बूढ़े हो जाएँ, उनके लिए हमेशा रहने वाला बदला है, जो कभी खत्म नहीं होगा और वह जन्नत है। क्योंकि उन्होंने अपने स्वभाव को शुद्ध किया। |
| Ayah 7 |
| عَرَبِي | فَما يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعدُ بِالدّينِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fama yukaththibuka baAAdu bialddeeni |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fama yu kaz zibuka b'adu bid deen |
| English (Pickthall) | So who henceforth will give the lie to thee about the judgment? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Then what can, after this, contradict thee, as to the judgment (to come)? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So what yet causes you to deny the Recompense? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So O human! What causes you to reject the Day of Requital, after you have seen the many signs of His power? |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अब इसके बाद क्या है, जो बदले के विषय में तुम्हें झुठलाए? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो (ऐ रसूल) इन दलीलों के बाद तुमको (रोज़े) जज़ा के बारे में कौन झुठला सकता है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तो (ऐ इनसान!) तुझे कौन-सी चीज़ बदले के दिन को झुठलाने पर उकसाती है, जबकि तूने उसकी शक्ति एवं क्षमता की बहुत-सी निशानियाँ देखी हैं? |

| عَرَبِي | أَلَيسَ اللَّهُ بِأَحكَمِ الحاكِمينَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Alaysa Allahu biahkami alhakimeena |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Alai sal laahu bi-ahkamil haakimeen |
| English (Pickthall) | Is not Allah the most conclusive of all judges? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Is not Allah the wisest of judges? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Is not Allah the most just of judges? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Is Allah not the most just and fair of judges by having appointed the Day of Judgement for requital? Is it comprehendible that Allah leaves His servants in vain, without judging between them, by not requiting the doer of good for his good, and the evil-doer for his evil? |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | क्या अल्लाह सब हाकिमों से बड़ा हाकिम नहीं हैं? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | क्या ख़ुदा सबसे बड़ा हाकिम नहीं है (हाँ ज़रूर है) |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | क्या अल्लाह - क़ियामत के दिन को बदले का दिन बनाकर - सब हाकिमों से बड़ा और सबसे अधिक न्याय करनेवाला हाकिम नहीं है?! क्या यह उचित है कि अल्लाह अपने बंदों को उनके बीच फ़ैसला किए बिना व्यर्थ छोड़ दे, और अच्छा कार्य करने वाले को उसके अच्छे कार्य और बुरा कार्य करने वाले को उसकी बुराई का बदला न दे?! |
