| عَرَبِي | إِنّا أَنزَلناهُ في لَيلَةِ القَدرِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna anzalnahu fee laylati alqadri |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Innaa anzalnaahu fee lailatil qadr |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! We revealed it on the Night of Predestination. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | We have indeed revealed this (Message) in the Night of Power: |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Indeed, I revealed the Qur’ān at once to the heaven nearest to the world, just as I started off revealing it to Muhammad (peace be upon him), on the Night of Decree in the month of Ramadan. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | हमने (इस कुरान) को शबे क़द्र में नाज़िल (करना शुरू) किया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हमने क़ुरआन को एकबारगी दुनिया के आकाश (निचले आकाश) पर रमज़ान के महीने में क़द्र की रात में अवतरित किया, इसी तरह उसे नबी सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम पर उतारने की शुरूआत भी इसी रात में की। |

| عَرَبِي | وَما أَدراكَ ما لَيلَةُ القَدرِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wama adraka ma laylatu alqadri |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa maa adraaka ma lailatul qadr |
| English (Pickthall) | Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Night of Power is! |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And what will explain to thee what the night of power is? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Prophet! Do you know what goodness and blessings lie in this night? |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और तुम्हें क्या मालूम कि क़द्र की रात क्या है? |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और तुमको क्या मालूम शबे क़द्र क्या है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और (ऐ रसूल) क्या आप जानते हैं कि इस रात में क्या भलाई और बरकत है?! |

| عَرَبِي | لَيلَةُ القَدرِ خَيرٌ مِن أَلفِ شَهرٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Laylatu alqadri khayrun min alfi shahrin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Lailatul qadri khairum min alfee shahr |
| English (Pickthall) | The Night of Power is better than a thousand months. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | The Night of Power is better than a thousand months. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | This night is a night of great goodness; it is better than a thousand months for the one who stands in prayer during it, whilst having faith and hoping for reward. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | क़द्र की रात उत्तम है हज़ार महीनों से, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | शबे क़द्र (मरतबा और अमल में) हज़ार महीनो से बेहतर है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | यह रात महान भलाई की रात है। क्योंकि यह रात उस व्यक्ति के लिए हज़ार महीने से बेहतर है, जो ईमान और नेकी प्राप्त करने के उद्देश्य से इसमें अल्लाह की इबादत करे। |
| Ayah 4 |
| عَرَبِي | تَنَزَّلُ المَلائِكَةُ وَالرّوحُ فيها بِإِذنِ رَبِّهِم مِن كُلِّ أَمرٍ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Tanazzalu almalaikatu waalrroohu feeha biithni rabbihim min kulli amrin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Tanaz zalul malaa-ikatu war roohu feeha bi izni-rab bihim min kulli amr |
| English (Pickthall) | The angels and the Spirit descend therein, by the permission of their Lord, with all decrees. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Therein come down the angels and the Spirit by Allah's permission, on every errand: |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The angels and Gabriel (peace be upon him) descend during it with the permission of their Lord (may He be glorified), bringing every matter Allah has decreed to happen that year, whether it be sustenance, deaths, births or anything else He has decreed. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उसमें फ़रिश्तें और रूह हर महत्वपूर्ण मामलें में अपने रब की अनुमति से उतरते है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | इस (रात) में फ़रिश्ते और जिबरील (साल भर की) हर बात का हुक्म लेकर अपने परवरदिगार के हुक्म से नाज़िल होते हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उस रात में फ़रिश्ते और जिबरील अलैहिस्सलाम अपने महिमावान् पालनहार की अनुमति से हर उस चीज़ के साथ उतरते हैं, जिसका आल्लाह उस वर्ष में फैसला किया होता है, चाहे उसका संबंध रोज़ी से हो, या मृत्यु, या जन्म या इनके अलावा किसी अन्य से हो, जिनका अल्लाह फैसला करता है। |

| عَرَبِي | سَلامٌ هِيَ حَتّىٰ مَطلَعِ الفَجرِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Salamun hiya hatta matlaAAi alfajri |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Salaamun hiya hattaa mat la'il fajr |
| English (Pickthall) | (The night is) Peace until the rising of the dawn. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Peace!... This until the rise of morn! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Peace it is until the emergence of dawn. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | This whole blessed night contains goodness, right from its beginning until its end, with the breaking of dawn. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वह रात पूर्णतः शान्ति और सलामती है, उषाकाल के उदय होने तक |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | ये रात सुबह के तुलूअ होने तक (अज़सरतापा) सलामती है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | यह बरकत वाली रात उसके शुरू होने से लेकर फ़ज्र के उदय होने पर उसके अंत तक सर्वथा भलाई ही भलाई है। |
