| عَرَبِي | وَمِن شَرِّ غاسِقٍ إِذا وَقَبَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wamin sharri ghasiqin itha waqaba |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa min sharri ghasiqin iza waqab |
| English (Pickthall) | From the evil of the darkness when it is intense, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | From the mischief of Darkness as it overspreads; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And from the evil of darkness when it settles |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | “And I seek refuge in Allah from the evils that appear in the night, i.e. harmful creatures and bandits.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और अँधेरे की बुराई से जबकि वह घुस आए, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और अंधेरीरात की बुराई से जब उसका अंधेरा छा जाए |

| عَرَبِي | وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفّاثاتِ فِي العُقَدِ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wamin sharri alnnaffathati fee alAAuqadi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa min sharrin-naffaa-saati fil 'uqad |
| English (Pickthall) | And from the evil of malignant witchcraft, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | From the mischief of those who practise secret arts; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And from the evil of the blowers in knots |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | “And I seek His refuge from the evils of the sorceresses who blow onto knots.” |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और गाँठो में फूँक मारने-वालों की बुराई से, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और गन्डों पर फूँकने वालियों की बुराई से |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा मैं उन जादूगरनियों की बुराई से अल्लाह की पनाह में आता हूँ, जो गाँठों में फूँक मारती हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | وَمِن شَرِّ حاسِدٍ إِذا حَسَدَ |
| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wamin sharri hasidin itha hasada |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa min shar ri haasidin iza hasad |
| English (Pickthall) | And from the evil of the envier when he envieth. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And from the mischief of the envious one as he practises envy. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And from the evil of an envier when he envies." |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | “And I seek His refuge from the evil of the jealous one when he acts out his jealousy.” |
