| عَرَبِي | وَلا يَسأَلُ حَميمٌ حَميمًا |

| English (Pickthall) | And no familiar friend will ask a question of his friend |

| English (Qarai) | and no friend will inquire about [the welfare of his] friend, |

| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૧૦. તે દિવસે કોઇ મિત્ર બીજા મિત્રને નહી પૂછે. |
| Nepali (Ahl-al-Hadith) | १०) र कुनै मित्रले कुनै मित्रलाई सोध्नेछैन । |

| عَرَبِي | يُبَصَّرونَهُم ۚ يَوَدُّ المُجرِمُ لَو يَفتَدي مِن عَذابِ يَومِئِذٍ بِبَنيهِ |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Yubassaroonahum yawaddu almujrimu law yaftadee min AAathabi yawmiithin bibaneehi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yubassaroonahum; ya waddul mujrimu law yaftadee min 'azaabi yawma'izim bibaneeh |
| English (Pickthall) | Though they will be given sight of them. The guilty man will long to be able to ransom himself from the punishment of that day at the price of his children |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Though they will be put in sight of each other,- the sinner's desire will be: Would that he could redeem himself from the Penalty of that Day by (sacrificing) his children, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | They will be shown each other. The criminal will wish that he could be ransomed from the punishment of that Day by his children |
| English (Qarai) | [though] they will be placed within each other’s sight. The guilty one will wish he could ransom himself from the punishment of that day at the price of his children, |
| English (Hilali) | Though they shall be made to see one another [(i.e. on the Day of Resurrection), there will be none but see his father, children and relatives, but he will neither speak to them nor will ask them for any help)], - the Mujrim, (criminal, sinner, disbeliever, etc.) would desire to ransom himself from the punishment of that Day by his children. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Each human will see their relatives clearly, yet despite that no one will ask another due to the horror of the scenario. The one deserving of the hellfire will wish to present his children to the punishment instead of himself. |
