| عَرَبِي | إِنّا خَلَقنَا الإِنسانَ مِن نُطفَةٍ أَمشاجٍ نَبتَليهِ فَجَعَلناهُ سَميعًا بَصيرًا |

| English (Pickthall) | Lo! We create man from a drop of thickened fluid to test him; so We make him hearing, knowing. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Verily We created Man from a drop of mingled sperm, in order to try him: So We gave him (the gifts), of Hearing and Sight. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, We created man from a sperm-drop mixture that We may try him; and We made him hearing and seeing. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हमने इनसान को एक पुरुष और एक महिला के पानी से मिश्रित वीर्य से पैदा किया, हम उसे शरई अहकाम का बाध्य करके उसका परीक्षण करते हैं। इसलिए हमने उसे सुनने वाला, देखने वाला बनाया, ताकि हमने उसे शरई अहकाम की जो ज़िम्मेदारी सौंपी है, उसे वह अंजाम दे सके। |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | I showed him, through the tongues of My messengers, the path of guidance and by that the path of misguidance became clear to him. Thereafter he is either guided to the straight path and becomes a believing servant that is thankful to Allah, or he is misled from it and becomes a disbelieving servant who rejects Allah’s signs. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हमने अपने रसूलों की ज़बानी उसके लिए हिदायत का रास्ता बयान कर दिया, जिससे उसके लिए गुमराही का मार्ग स्पष्ट हो गया। अब वह इसके बाद या तो सीधे रास्ते को पकड़ ले और अल्लाह का शुक्रगुज़ार मोमिन बंदा बन जाए, और या तो उससे भटक जाए और अल्लाह की आयतों का इनकार करने वाला काफ़िर बंदा बन जाए। |
| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૩. અમે તેને માર્ગ બતાવ્યો, હવે ચાહે તો તે આભારી બને અથવા તો કૃતધ્ની. |

| English (Qarai) | Indeed for the faithless We have prepared chains, iron collars, and a blaze. |
| English (Hilali) | Verily, We have prepared for the disbelievers iron chains, iron collars, and a blazing Fire. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | After Allah mentioned the two types, those who are guided and those astray, he mentioned the reward of each by saying: I have prepared for those who reject Allah and His messengers, chains by which they will be dragged into the fire, and iron collars that will be tied around their necks, and a blazing fire. |

| English (Hilali) | Verily, the Abrar (pious, who fear Allah and avoid evil), shall drink a cup (of wine) mixed with water from a spring in Paradise called Kafur. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | The believers who follow Allah will drink on the day of judgment from a filled cup of wine mixed with camphor because of its pleasant fragrance. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | निश्चय ही वफ़ादार लोग ऐसे जाम से पिएँगे जिसमें काफ़ूर का मिश्रण होगा, |

| English (Pickthall) | A spring wherefrom the slaves of Allah drink, making it gush forth abundantly, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | A Fountain where the Devotees of Allah do drink, making it flow in unstinted abundance. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | A spring of which the [righteous] servants of Allah will drink; they will make it gush forth in force [and abundance]. |
| English (Qarai) | a spring where Allah’s servants will drink, making it gush forth as they please. |
| English (Hilali) | A spring wherefrom the slaves of Allah will drink, causing it to gush forth abundantly. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | This drink that has been prepared for the people of obedience will be from a easily palatable, abundantly flowing spring which will not dry out. The servants of Allah will drink to their fill from it, and be able to cause it to flow and run wherever they wish. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उस स्रोत का क्या कहना! जिस पर बैठकर अल्लाह के बन्दे पिएँगे, इस तरह कि उसे बहा-बहाकर (जहाँ चाहेंगे) ले जाएँगे |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | आज्ञाकारियों के लिए तैयार किया गया यह पेय एक ऐसे स्रोत से है, जो पीने में आसान है और प्रचुर मात्रा में है, जो कभी ख़त्म नहीं होगा। उससे अल्लाह के बंदे पीएँगे और उसे जहाँ चाहेंगे, बहा ले जाएँगे। |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Yoofoona binnazri wa yakhaafoona yawman kaana sharruhoo mustateeraa |
| English (Pickthall) | (Because) they perform the vow and fear a day whereof the evil is wide-spreading, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | They perform (their) vows, and they fear a Day whose evil flies far and wide. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | They [are those who] fulfill [their] vows and fear a Day whose evil will be widespread. |

| عَرَبِي | وَيُطعِمونَ الطَّعامَ عَلىٰ حُبِّهِ مِسكينًا وَيَتيمًا وَأَسيرًا |

| English (Pickthall) | And feed with food the needy wretch, the orphan and the prisoner, for love of Him, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And they feed, for the love of Allah, the indigent, the orphan, and the captive,- |

| English (Pickthall) | (Saying): We feed you, for the sake of Allah only. We wish for no reward nor thanks from you; |

| English (Pickthall) | Lo! these love fleeting life, and put behind them (the remembrance of) a grievous day. |

| English (Pickthall) | We, even We, created them, and strengthened their frame. And when We will, We can replace them, bringing others like them in their stead. |
