| عَرَبِي | أَن جاءَهُ الأَعمىٰ |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | An jaahu alaAAma |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | An jaa-ahul 'a-maa |
| English (Pickthall) | Because the blind man came unto him. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Because there came to him the blind man (interrupting). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting]. |
| English (Qarai) | when the blind man approached him. |
| English (Hilali) | Because there came to him the blind man (i.e. 'Abdullah bin Umm-Maktum, who came to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) while he was preaching to one or some of the Quraish chiefs). |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Because of the arrival of ‘Abdullah ibn Umm Maktūm who came asking for guidance. He was blind, and had come when the Messenger (peace be upon him) was busy with the seniors of the idolaters, hoping they would be guided. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अब्दुल्लाह बिन उम्मे मकतूम के आगमन के कारण, जो आपसे मार्गदर्शन प्राप्त करना चाहते थे और वह एक अंधे व्यक्ति थे। जब वह आए, तो उस समय रसूल सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम मुश्रिकों के प्रमुख लोगों के साथ, उनके मार्गदर्शन स्वीकारने की उम्मीद में, व्यस्त थे। |

| عَرَبِي | وَما يُدريكَ لَعَلَّهُ يَزَّكّىٰ |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wama yudreeka laAAallahu yazzakka |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa maa yudreeka la'allahu yaz zakkaa. |
| English (Pickthall) | What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace) |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified |
| English (Qarai) | And how do you know, maybe he would purify himself, |
| English (Hilali) | But what could tell you that per chance he might become pure (from sins)? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! What do you know, maybe this blind man may be purified of his sins? |

| हिन्दी (Al-Omari) | और आपको क्या मालूम शायद वह पवित्रता प्राप्त कर ले। |

| عَرَبِي | أَو يَذَّكَّرُ فَتَنفَعَهُ الذِّكرىٰ |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Aw yaththakkaru fatanfaAAahu alththikra |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Au yaz zak karu fatanfa 'ahuz zikraa. |

| English (Yusuf Ali) | Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him? |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him? |

| English (Hilali) | As for him who thinks himself self-sufficient, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | As for those who feel they have no need to bring faith in what you have brought, due to the wealth they possess. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | रहा वह व्यक्ति जो धनी हो गया ह |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो जो कुछ परवाह नहीं करता |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | परंतु जो अपने धन की वजह से आपके लाए हुए धर्म पर ईमान लाने से बेपरवाह हो गया। |
| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૫. પરંતુ જે વ્યક્તિ અવગણના કરે છે. |
| Nepali (Ahl-al-Hadith) | ५) तर जो लापरवाही गर्दछ । |

| عَرَبِي | فَأَنتَ لَهُ تَصَدّىٰ |

| English (Pickthall) | Unto him thou payest regard. |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | You persevere behind them and are attentive to them. |

| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૬. તો તમે તેની તરફ (તેમની હિદાયત માટે) પૂરતુ ધ્યાન આપી રહ્યા છો. |
| Nepali (Ahl-al-Hadith) | ६) उसैको तर्फ तिमी पूरै ध्यान दिन्छौ । |
| हिन्दी (Al-Omari) | तो आप उसके पीछे पड़ रहे हैं। |
| Roman Urdu (Maududi) | Uski taraf to tum tawajjuh karte ho |
| Roman Urdu (Junagarhi) | Uski taraf to pori twaja kerta hy |
| Ayah 7 | |
| عَرَبِي | وَما عَلَيكَ أَلّا يَزَّكّىٰ |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wama AAalayka alla yazzakka |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa ma 'alaika allaa yaz zakka. |
| English (Pickthall) | Yet it is not thy concern if he grow not (in grace). |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And not upon you [is any blame] if he will not be purified. |
| English (Qarai) | though you are not liable if he does not purify himself. |
| English (Hilali) | What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah). |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | What blame will there be on you if he is not purified of his sins by not repenting to Allah? |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | हालाँकि वह अपने को न निखारे तो तुझपर कोई ज़िम्मेदारी नहीं आती - |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो तुम ज़िम्मेदार नहीं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हालाँकि अगर वह अल्लाह से तौबा करके अपने गुनाहों से पाक-साफ़ नहीं होता है, तो आपपर कोई दोष नहीं है। |
| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૭. જો કે તેમના ન સુધારવા થી તમારા પર કોઇ તેમની કોઈ જવાબદારી નથી. |
| Nepali (Ahl-al-Hadith) | ७) हुन त यदि उसले पवित्रता प्राप्त गरेन भने तिमीलाई कुनै दोष आउँदैन । |
| हिन्दी (Al-Omari) | हालाँकि आपपर कोई दोष नहीं कि वह पवित्रता ग्रहण नहीं करता। |

| عَرَبِي | وَأَمّا مَن جاءَكَ يَسعىٰ |

| English (Pickthall) | But as for him who cometh unto thee with earnest purpose |

| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But as for he who came to you striving [for knowledge] |
| English (Qarai) | But as for someone who comes hurrying to you, |
| English (Hilali) | But as to him who came to you running. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | As for the one who comes to you running, searching for goodness. |

| عَرَبِي | وَهُوَ يَخشىٰ |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wahuwa yakhshaa, |
| English (Pickthall) | And hath fear, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And with fear (in his heart), |

| English (Qarai) | while he fears [Allah], |
| English (Hilali) | And is afraid (of Allah and His Punishment), |

| عَرَبِي | فَأَنتَ عَنهُ تَلَهّىٰ |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa-anta 'anhu talah haa. |
| English (Pickthall) | From him thou art distracted. |

| English (Saheeh Int’l) | From him you are distracted. |
| English (Qarai) | you are neglectful of him. |
| English (Hilali) | Of him you are neglectful and divert your attention to another, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | You are preoccupied from him with others i.e. the senior idolaters. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | तो तू उससे बेपरवाई करता है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो तुम उससे बेरूख़ी करते हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तो आप उससे बेपरवाह होकर मुश्रिकों के प्रमुख लोगों के साथ व्यस्त हो जाते हैं। |
| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૧૦. તમે તેની તરફ બેધ્યાન છો. |
| Nepali (Ahl-al-Hadith) | १०) उसलाई तिमीले बेवास्ता गर्दछौ । |
| हिन्दी (Al-Omari) | तो आप उसकी ओर ध्यान नहीं देते। |
| Roman Urdu (Maududi) | Usse tum berukhi barat-tey ho |
| Roman Urdu (Junagarhi) | To us say byrukhi barta hay |

| عَرَبِي | كَلّا إِنَّها تَذكِرَةٌ |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Kalla innaha tathkiratun |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Kalla innaha tazkirah |
| English (Pickthall) | Nay, but verily it is an Admonishment, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | By no means (should it be so)! For it is indeed a Message of instruction: |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | No! Indeed, these verses are a reminder; |
| English (Qarai) | No indeed! These [verses of the Quran ] are a reminder |
| English (Hilali) | Nay, (do not do like this), indeed it (these Verses of this Quran) are an admonition, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | It should not be like that; it is only admonition and a reminder for those who pay attention. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | कदापि नहीं, वे (आयतें) तो महत्वपूर्ण नसीहत है - |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | देखो ये (क़ुरान) तो सरासर नसीहत है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | यह मामला ऐसी नहीं है, यह तो स्वीकार करने वाले के लिए एक उपदेश और चेतावनी है। |
| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૧૧. આવું ઠીક નથી, આ કુરઆન તો એક ઉપદેશ છે. |
| Nepali (Ahl-al-Hadith) | ११) हेर यो ठीक होइन कुरआन उपदेशको चीज हो । |
| हिन्दी (Al-Omari) | ऐसा हरगिज़ नहीं चाहिए, यह (क़ुरआन) तो एक उपदेश है। |
| Roman Urdu (Maududi) | Hargiz nahin yeh to ek naseehat hai |
| Roman Urdu (Junagarhi) | Yeh thek nahi quran is nasehat (ki chez) hay |

| عَرَبِي | فَمَن شاءَ ذَكَرَهُ |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faman shaa thakarahu |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Faman shaa a zakarah |
| English (Pickthall) | So let whosoever will pay heed to it, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Therefore let whoso will, keep it in remembrance. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | So whoever wills may remember it. |
| English (Qarai) | —so let anyone who wishes remember— |
| English (Hilali) | So whoever wills, let him pay attention to it. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So whoever wishes to remember Allah should remember Him, and take heed of what is in this Qur’ān. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | तो जो चाहे उसे याद कर ले - |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो जो चाहे इसे याद रखे |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अतः जो अल्लाह को याद करना चाहे, उसे याद करे और इस क़ुरआन में जो कुछ है, उससे उपदेश ग्रहण करे। |
| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૧૨. જે ઈચ્છે તેને યાદ કરી લે. |
| Nepali (Ahl-al-Hadith) | १२) तसर्थ जसले चाहोस् त्यसबाट उपदेश प्राप्त गरोस् । |
| हिन्दी (Al-Omari) | अतः जो चाहे, उसे याद करे। |

| English (Hilali) | (It is) in Records held (greatly) in honour (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Because this Qur’ān is in blessed scrolls, with the angels. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | पवित्र पन्नों में अंकित है, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (लौहे महफूज़ के) बहुत मोअज़ज़िज औराक़ में (लिखा हुआ) है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | यह क़ुरआन फ़रिश्तों के पास सम्मानजनक सहीफ़ों (ग्रंथों) में है। |
| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૧૩. (આ તો) પ્રતિષ્ઠિત સહીફામાં (છે). |
| Nepali (Ahl-al-Hadith) | १३) यो त पवित्र उच्च पंक्तिहरूमा अंकित छ । |
