| عَرَبِي | وَإِذا كالوهُم أَو وَزَنوهُم يُخسِرونَ |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waitha kaloohum aw wazanoohum yukhsiroona |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa izaa kaaloohum aw wazanoohum yukhsiroon |
| English (Pickthall) | But if they measure unto them or weight for them, they cause them loss. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But if they give by measure or by weight to them, they cause loss. |
| English (Qarai) | but diminish when they measure or weigh for them. |
| English (Hilali) | And when they have to give by measure or weight to men, give less than due. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | But when they measure or weigh for people they reduce the measurement and weight. This was the practice of the people of Madinah at the time the Prophet (peace be on him) migrated to them. |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | The matter is not as you thought - that there is no resurrection after death. The book of the people of iniquity from amongst the disbelievers and hypocrites will be in loss in the lower earth. |

| عَرَبِي | وَما يُكَذِّبُ بِهِ إِلّا كُلُّ مُعتَدٍ أَثيمٍ |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa maa yukazzibu biheee illaa kullu mu'tadin aseem |

| English (Yusuf Ali) | And none can deny it but the Transgressor beyond bounds the Sinner! |

| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૧૨. તેને ફકત તેઓ જ જુઠલાવે છે, જેઓ હદનું ઉલ્લંઘન કરનાર (અને) ગુનેહગાર હોય. |
| Nepali (Ahl-al-Hadith) | १२) र त्यसलाई झूठो उनीहरूले मात्र ठहराउँछन्, जो सीमाअतिक्रमण गर्नेवाला अपराधी छन् । |
| हिन्दी (Al-Omari) | तथा उसे केवल वही झुठलाता है, जो सीमा का उल्लंघन करने वाला, बड़ा पापी है। |

| English (Pickthall) | Who, when thou readest unto him Our revelations, saith: (Mere) fables of the men of old. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | When Our Signs are rehearsed to him, he says, "Tales of the ancients!" |
