| عَرَبِي | وَأَنتَ حِلٌّ بِهٰذَا البَلَدِ |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waanta hillun bihatha albaladi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa anta hillum bihaazal balad |
| English (Pickthall) | And thou art an indweller of this city - |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And thou art a freeman of this City;- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And you, [O Muhammad], are free of restriction in this city - |
| English (Qarai) | as you reside in this town; |
| English (Hilali) | And you are free (from sin, to punish the enemies of Islam on the Day of the conquest) in this city (Makkah). |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! It is permissible for you to do whatever you wish on the Day of the Conquest of Makkah, from capital punishment to those whom are deserving of it, to taking captive whomsoever deserves it. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | हाल यह है कि तुम इसी नगर में रह रहे हो - |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और तुम इसी शहर में तो रहते हो |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और (ऐ रसूल) आपके लिए इस नगर में, जो क़त्ल किए जाने का हक़दार उसे क़त्ल करना और जो बंदी बनाए जाने का हक़दार है, उसे बंदी बनाना, वैध है। |
| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૨. જ્યારે કે તમે આ શહેરમાં રહો છો. |

| عَرَبِي | وَوالِدٍ وَما وَلَدَ |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wawalidin wama walada |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa waalidinw wa maa walad |
| English (Pickthall) | And the begetter and that which he begat, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And (the mystic ties of) parent and child;- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [by] the father and that which was born [of him], |
| English (Qarai) | [and] by the father and him whom he begot: |
| English (Hilali) | And by the begetter (i.e. Adam) and that which he begot (i.e. his progeny); |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And Allah takes an oath on the father of humanity, also taking an oath on the offspring reproduced from him. |

| English (Pickthall) | And he saith: I have destroyed vast wealth: |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | He may say (boastfully); Wealth have I squandered in abundance! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | He says, "I have spent wealth in abundance." |
| English (Qarai) | He says, ‘I have squandered immense wealth.’ |
| English (Hilali) | He says (boastfully): "I have wasted wealth in abundance!" |

| عَرَبِي | فَلَا اقتَحَمَ العَقَبَةَ |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fala iqtahama alAAaqabata |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Falaq tahamal-'aqabah |
| English (Pickthall) | But he hath not attempted the Ascent - |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But he hath made no haste on the path that is steep. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But he has not broken through the difficult pass. |
| English (Qarai) | Yet he has not embarked upon the uphill task. |
| English (Hilali) | But he has made no effort to pass on the path that is steep. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | He will be required to cross the valley that separates him from Paradise, which he will cross. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | किन्तु वह तो हुमककर घाटी में से गुजंरा ही नहीं और (न उसने मुक्ति का मार्ग पाया) |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | फिर वह घाटी पर से होकर (क्यों) नहीं गुज़रा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उसे चाहि था कि उस घाटी को पार करता, जो उसे जन्नत से अलग करती है। चुनाँचे वह उसे तय करता और उसे पार कर जाता। |
| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૧૧. પરંતુ તે ઘાટીમાં પસાર ન થઇ શક્યો. |

| English (Pickthall) | Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Ascent is! - |

| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And what can make you know what is [breaking through] the difficult pass? |
| English (Qarai) | And what will show you what is the uphill task? |
| English (Hilali) | And what will make you know the path that is steep? |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O Messenger! Do you know what the valley is that he has to cross, in order to enter Paradise? |
