| عَرَبِي | وَالنَّهارِ إِذا تَجَلّىٰ |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wannahaari izaa tajalla |
| English (Pickthall) | And the day resplendent |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | By the Day as it appears in glory; |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [by] the day when it appears |
| English (Qarai) | by the day when it brightens, |
| English (Hilali) | And by the day as it appears in brightness; |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And Allah takes an oath on the day when it becomes clear and visible. |

| عَرَبِي | وَما خَلَقَ الذَّكَرَ وَالأُنثىٰ |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa maa khalaqaz zakara wal unthaa |
| English (Pickthall) | And Him Who hath created male and female, |

| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And [by] He who created the male and female, |
| English (Qarai) | by Him who created the male and the female: |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ سَعيَكُم لَشَتّىٰ |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna saAAyakum lashatta |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Inna sa'yakum lashattaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! your effort is dispersed (toward divers ends). |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Verily, (the ends) ye strive for are diverse. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, your efforts are diverse. |
| English (Qarai) | your endeavours are indeed diverse. |
| English (Hilali) | Certainly, your efforts and deeds are diverse (different in aims and purposes); |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | O people! Your actions are different: some are good, which are the causes of entering Paradise, while others are evil, which are the causes of entering the hellfire. |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | कि बेशक तुम्हारी कोशिश तरह तरह की है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ लोगो) निश्चय तुम्हारे काम अलग-अलग प्रकार के हैं। कुछ अच्छे कर्म हैं, जो जन्नत में प्रवेश करने का कारण हैं, और कुछ बुरे कर्म हैं, जो नरक में प्रवेश करने का कारण हैं। |

| عَرَبِي | فَأَمّا مَن أَعطىٰ وَاتَّقىٰ |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Faamma man aAAta waittaqa |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fa ammaa man a'taa wattaqaa |
| English (Pickthall) | As for him who giveth and is dutiful (toward Allah) |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | So he who gives (in charity) and fears (Allah), |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | As for he who gives and fears Allah |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | As for the one who gives whatever is necessary for him to spend, i.e. Zakat, financial support and repatriation, and is mindful of that which Allah has prohibited him from. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | फिर जिसने उस चीज़ को दिया, जिसे देने के लिए वह बाध्य है; जैसे ज़कात, गुज़ारा-भत्ता और कफ़्फ़ारा आदि, और उससे बचा, जिससे अल्लाह ने मना किया है। |

| عَرَبِي | وَصَدَّقَ بِالحُسنىٰ |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa saddaqa bil husnaa |
| English (Pickthall) | And believeth in goodness; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And (in all sincerity) testifies to the best,- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And believes in the best [reward], |
| English (Qarai) | and confirms the best promise, |
| English (Hilali) | And believes in Al-Husna. |

| عَرَبِي | فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِليُسرىٰ |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Fasanuyassiruhu lilyusra |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fasanu yassiruhoo lilyusraa |
| English (Pickthall) | Surely We will ease his way unto the state of ease. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Bliss. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | We will ease him toward ease. |
| English (Qarai) | We will surely ease him toward facility. |
| English (Hilali) | We will make smooth for him the path of ease (goodness). |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | I shall soon make performing good deeds and spending in My path easy for him. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | हम उस सहज ढंग से उस चीज का पात्र बना देंगे, जो सहज और मृदुल (सुख-साध्य) है |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हम उसके लिए नेक काम करना और अल्लाह के मार्ग में ख़र्च करना आसान बना देंगे। |
| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૭. તો અમે પણ તેને સરળ માર્ગ પર ચાલવાની સહુલત આપીશું. |
| Nepali (Ahl-al-Hadith) | ७) त हामीले पनि उसलाई सजिलो बाटोको सुविधा प्रदान गर्नेछौं । |
| हिन्दी (Al-Omari) | तो निश्चय हम उसके लिए भलाई को आसान कर देंगे। |
| Roman Urdu (Maududi) | Usko hum aasan raastey kay liye sahulat denge |
| Roman Urdu (Junagarhi) | To hum bhi usko aasan rasty ki saholat dein gay |

| عَرَبِي | وَأَمّا مَن بَخِلَ وَاستَغنىٰ |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waamma man bakhila waistaghna |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa ammaa man bakhila wastaghnaa |
| English (Pickthall) | But as for him who hoardeth and deemeth himself independent, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need |
| English (Qarai) | But as for him, who is stingy and self-complacent, |
| English (Hilali) | But he who is greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient. |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And as for the one who is miserly with his wealth and does not spend it in the avenues necessary for him to spend in, thinking himself to be in no need of Allah and not asking Allah for any of His grace. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | रहा वह व्यक्ति जिसने कंजूसी की और बेपरवाही बरती, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जिसने बुख्ल किया, और बेपरवाई की |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | रहा वह व्यक्ति जिसने अपने माल में कंजूसी की और उसे उस चीज़ में खर्च नहीं किया, जिसमें उसका ख़र्च करना उसके लिए अनिवार्य था, तथा अपने माल के साथ अल्लाह से बेपरवाह हो गया। इसलिए अल्लाह से उसके अनुग्रह में से कुछ नहीं मांगा। |
| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૮. પરંતુ જેણે કંજુસી કરી અને બેપરવાહ બની ગયો. |
| Nepali (Ahl-al-Hadith) | ८) तर जसले कञ्जूसी गर्यो र लापरवाही देखायो । |
| हिन्दी (Al-Omari) | लेकिन वह (व्यक्ति) जिसने कंजूसी की और बेपरवाही बरती। |

| عَرَبِي | وَكَذَّبَ بِالحُسنىٰ |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa kazzaba bil husnaa |
| English (Pickthall) | And disbelieveth in goodness; |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And gives the lie to the best,- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And denies the best [reward], |
| English (Qarai) | and denies the best promise, |
| English (Hilali) | And gives the lie to Al-Husna (see Verse No: 6 footnote); |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Whilst rejecting the substitute and reward Allah has promised him if he spends his wealth in His path. |

| عَرَبِي | فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُ لِلعُسرىٰ |

| English (Pickthall) | Surely We will ease his way unto adversity. |

| English (Saheeh Int’l) | We will ease him toward difficulty. |
| English (Qarai) | We will surely ease him toward hardship. |
| English (Hilali) | We will make smooth for him the path for evil; |

| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो हम उसे सख्ती (जहन्नुम) में पहुँचा देंगे, |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | हम उसके लिए बुराई करना आसान बना देंगे और अच्छा काम करना मुश्किल कर देंगे। |
| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૧૦. તો અમે પણ તેની તંગી અને મુશ્કેલીનો સામાન સરળ કરી દઇશું. |
| Nepali (Ahl-al-Hadith) | १०) त हामीले पनि उसलाई अभाव र कठिनाईका सामग्री प्रदान गर्नेछौं । |
| हिन्दी (Al-Omari) | तो हम उसके लिए कठिनाई (बुराई का मार्ग) आसान कर देंगे। |
| Roman Urdu (Maududi) | Usko hum sakht rastey kay liye sahulat dengey |
| Roman Urdu (Junagarhi) | To hum bhi uski tangi-o-mushkil kay saman mayuser kerdein gay |
| Ayah 11 | |
| عَرَبِي | وَما يُغني عَنهُ مالُهُ إِذا تَرَدّىٰ |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wama yughnee AAanhu maluhu itha taradda |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa maa yughnee 'anhu maaluhooo izaa taraddaa |
| English (Pickthall) | His riches will not save him when he perisheth. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Nor will his wealth profit him when he falls headlong (into the Pit). |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And what will his wealth avail him when he falls? |
| English (Qarai) | His wealth will not avail him when he perishes. |
| English (Hilali) | And what will his wealth benefit him when he goes down (in destruction). |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | His wealth that he is miserly with will not benefit him at all when he dies and enters the hellfire. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और उसका माल उसके कुछ काम न आएगा, जब वह (सिर के बल) खड्ड में गिरेगा |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और जब वह हलाक होगा तो उसका माल उसके कुछ भी काम न आएगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | जब वह विनष्ट होकर जहन्नम में प्रवेश करेगा, तो उसका वह धन जिसे खर्च करने में उसने कंजूसी की थी, उसके कुछ काम नहीं आएगा। |
| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૧૧. અને જ્યારે તે (જહન્નમમાં) પડશે, તેનું ધન તેને કઈ કામમાં નહીં આવે. |
| Nepali (Ahl-al-Hadith) | ११) त्यसको धनमाल, ऊ खाल्डोमा लड्दा उसको कुनै पनि काम आउने छैन । |
| हिन्दी (Al-Omari) | और जब वह (जहन्नम के गड्ढे में) गिरेगा, तो उसका धन उसके किसी काम नहीं आएगा। |

| Roman Urdu (Junagarhi) | Uska maal ussy(ondha)giraney kay waqat kuch kam na ay ga |

| عَرَبِي | إِنَّ عَلَينا لَلهُدىٰ |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Inna AAalayna lalhuda |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Inna 'alainaa lal hudaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Lo! Ours it is (to give) the guidance |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Verily We take upon Ourselves to guide, |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Indeed, [incumbent] upon Us is guidance. |
| English (Qarai) | Indeed guidance rests with Us, |
| English (Hilali) | Truly! Ours it is (to give) guidance, |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Indeed, it is My responsibility to make the path of truth clear from the path of falsehood. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | निस्संदेह हमारे ज़िम्मे है मार्ग दिखाना |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | हमें राह दिखा देना ज़रूर है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निःसंदेह असत्य से सत्य का मार्ग स्पष्ट करना हमारे ही ज़िम्मे है। |
| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૧૨. નિ:શંક રસ્તો બતાવવો અમારા શિરે છે. |
| Nepali (Ahl-al-Hadith) | १२) निश्चय नै हाम्रो जिम्मा त मार्ग देखाउनु छ । |
| हिन्दी (Al-Omari) | निःसंदेह हमारा ही ज़िम्मे मार्ग दिखाना है। |
| Roman Urdu (Maududi) | Beshak rasta batana hamare zimmey hai |
| Roman Urdu (Junagarhi) | Be-shak raah dikha dena himaray zimmay hai |
| Ayah 13 | |
| عَرَبِي | وَإِنَّ لَنا لَلآخِرَةَ وَالأولىٰ |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Wainna lana lalakhirata waaloola |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa inna lanaa lal Aakhirata wal oolaa |
| English (Pickthall) | And lo! unto Us belong the latter portion and the former. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And verily unto Us (belong) the End and the Beginning. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And indeed, to Us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life]. |
| English (Qarai) | and to Us belong the world and the Hereafter. |
| English (Hilali) | And truly, unto Us (belong) the last (Hereafter) and the first (this world). |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And indeed, the afterlife and the worldly life belongs to Me; I do whatever I want with it. That is not the case with anyone else. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और वास्तव में हमारे अधिकार में है आख़िरत और दुनिया भी |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और आख़ेरत और दुनिया (दोनों) ख़ास हमारी चीज़े हैं |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | निःसंदेह हमारे ही अधिकार में आख़िरत का जीवन और हमारे ही अधिकार में सांसारिक जीवन है। हम जो कुछ भी चाहते हैं, उनमें करते हैं और यह अधिकार हमारे अलावा किसी और को नहीं है। |
| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૧૩. અને આખિરત તેમજ દુનિયા (બન્નેના) માલિક અમે જ છે. |
| Nepali (Ahl-al-Hadith) | १३) र वास्तवमा हाम्रै अधिकारमा छ परलोक र संसार । |
| हिन्दी (Al-Omari) | निःसंदेह हमारे ही अधिकार में आख़िरत और दुनिया है। |

| عَرَبِي | وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَا الأَتقَى |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa sa yujannnabuhal atqaa |
| English (Pickthall) | Far removed from it will be the righteous |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | But those most devoted to Allah shall be removed far from it,- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | But the righteous one will avoid it - |
| English (Qarai) | The Godwary [person] will be spared of that |
| English (Hilali) | And Al-Muttaqun (the pious and righteous - see V. 2:2) will be far removed from it (Hell). |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | और उससे सबसे बड़े परहेज़गार व्यक्ति अर्थात् अबू बक्र सिद्दीक़ रज़ियल्लाहु अन्हु को बचा लिया जाएगा। |
| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૧૭. અને તેનાથી એવો વ્યક્તિ દૂર રાખવામાં આવશે, જે ખુબ જ સંયમી હશે. |

| عَرَبِي | وَما لِأَحَدٍ عِندَهُ مِن نِعمَةٍ تُجزىٰ |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wa maa li ahadin 'indahoo min ni'matin tujzaaa |

| English (Yusuf Ali) | And have in their minds no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return, |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वह अपना माल इसलिए नहीं खर्च करता कि उसपर किसी का उपकार है, जिसे वह चुकाना चाहता है। |
| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૧૯. તેના અપર કોઈનો કઈ અહેસાન ન હતો, જેનો તે બદલો ચૂકવતો. |
| Nepali (Ahl-al-Hadith) | १९) र (यसकारण) दिंदैन कि उसमाथि कसैको उपकार छ । जसको सट्टामा कुनै किसिमको बदलाको आशा गरिएको हुन्छ । |
| हिन्दी (Al-Omari) | और उसपर किसी का कोई उपकार नहीं है, जिसका बदला चुकाया जाए। |

| عَرَبِي | إِلَّا ابتِغاءَ وَجهِ رَبِّهِ الأَعلىٰ |

| English (Yusuf Ali) | But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High; |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वह जो माल ख़र्च करता है, उससे वह केवल अपने रब का चेहरा चाहता है, जो अपनी मखलूक़ पर सर्वोच्च है। |
| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૨૦. પરંતુ તેણે પોતાના સર્વોચ્ચ પાલનહારની પ્રસન્નતા માટે (માલ ખર્ચ કર્યો.) |
| Nepali (Ahl-al-Hadith) | २०) बरु मात्र आफ्नो महान पालनकर्ताको अनुहारको (दर्शनको) लागि (माल खर्च गर्दछ) । |

| عَرَبِي | وَلَسَوفَ يَرضىٰ |

| English (Pickthall) | He verily will be content. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | And soon will they attain (complete) satisfaction. |

| English (Qarai) | and, surely, soon they will be well-pleased. |
| English (Hilali) | He surely will be pleased (when he will enter Paradise). |

| Nepali (Ahl-al-Hadith) | २१) निःसंदेह त्यो (अल्लाह) शीघ्र नै राजी (प्रसन्न) भैहाल्नेछ । |
