| English (Hilali) | Have you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) not seen how your Lord dealt with the Owners of the Elephant? [The elephant army which came from Yemen under the command of Abrahah Al-Ashram intending to destroy the Ka'bah at Makkah]. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | (ऐ रसूल) क्या आप नहीं जानते कि आपके पालनहार ने अबरहा और उसके हाथी वाले साथियों के साथ कैसे किया, जब उन्होंने काबा को गिराने का इरादा किया?! |

| عَرَبِي | أَلَم يَجعَل كَيدَهُم في تَضليلٍ |

| English (Abridged Expl.) | Allah made their evil plot to destroy it in vain; they did not achieve what they desired in trying to turn the people away from the Ka‘bah. They did not succeed in the slightest. |

| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | अल्लाह ने उनकी काबा को गिराने की बुरी चाल को अकारथ कर दिया, इसलिए उन्होंने काबा से लोगों को फेरने की जो इच्छा की थी, उसे पूरी नहीं कर सके और न ही वे काबा को कोई नुक़सान पहुँचा सके। |

| عَرَبِي | فَجَعَلَهُم كَعَصفٍ مَأكولٍ |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Faja 'alahum ka'asfim m'akool |
| English (Pickthall) | And made them like green crops devoured (by cattle)? |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Then did He make them like an empty field of stalks and straw, (of which the corn) has been eaten up. |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And He made them like eaten straw. |
| English (Qarai) | thus making them like chewed-up straw? |
| English (Hilali) | And made them like an empty field of stalks (of which the corn has been eaten up by cattle). |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | So Allah made them like the leaves of crops that have been eaten and trampled upon by livestock. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | अन्ततः उन्हें ऐसा कर दिया, जैसे खाने का भूसा हो |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | तो उन्हें चबाए हुए भूस की (तबाह) कर दिया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | चुनाँचे अल्लाह ने उन्हें उन पत्तों की तरह कर दिया, जिन्हें जानवरों ने खाया और रौंदा हो। |
