| عَرَبِي | تَبَّت يَدا أَبي لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Tabbat yada abee lahabin watabba |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Tab bat yadaa abee Lahabinw-wa tabb |
| English (Pickthall) | The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Perish the hands of the Father of Flame! Perish he! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. |
| English (Qarai) | Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! |
| English (Hilali) | Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab (an uncle of the Prophet), and perish he! |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Both hands of the uncle of the Prophet (peace be upon him): Abū Lahab son of ‘Abdul Muṭṭalib have lost because of the loss of his actions; he used to harm the Prophet (peace be upon him). His efforts are in vain. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | टूट गए अबू लहब के दोनों हाथ और वह स्वयं भी विनष्ट हो गया! |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | अबु लहब के हाथ टूट जाएँ और वह ख़ुद सत्यानास हो जाए |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | नबी सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम के चाचा अबू लहब बिन अब्दुल मुत्तलिब के सारे अमल बर्बाद होने के कारण, उसके दोनों हाथ क्षतिग्रस्त हो जाएँ; क्योंकि वह नबी सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम को कष्ट पहुँचाया करता था, तथा उसकी सारी कोशिश विफल हो गई। |
| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૧. અબૂ લહબના બન્ને હાથ બરબાદ થઇ જાય, અને તે (પોતે) પણ બરબાદ થઇ જાય. |
| Nepali (Ahl-al-Hadith) | १) अबू लहबका दुवैहात भाँचिए र त्यो स्वयम् पनि नष्ट भइहाल्यो । |
| हिन्दी (Al-Omari) | अबू लहब के दोनों हाथ नाश हो जाएँ! और वह (स्वयं) विनष्ट हो गया। |

| عَرَبِي | ما أَغنىٰ عَنهُ مالُهُ وَما كَسَبَ |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Ma aghna AAanhu maluhu wama kasaba |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Maa aghna 'anhu maaluhu wa ma kasab |
| English (Pickthall) | His wealth and gains will not exempt him. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gains! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained. |
| English (Qarai) | Neither his wealth availed him, nor what he had earned. |
| English (Hilali) | His wealth and his children (etc.) will not benefit him! |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | How much can his wealth and his children benefit him? They cannot defend him against the punishment, nor bring any mercy to him. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | न उसका माल उसके काम आया और न वह कुछ जो उसने कमाया |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | (आख़िर) न उसका माल ही उसके हाथ आया और (न) उसने कमाया |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उसका धन और उसके बेटे उसके किस काम आए? वे दोनों न उससे अज़ाब को दूर कर सके और न उसके लिए दया का कारण बन सके। |
| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૨. ન તો તેનું ધન તેના માટે કઈ કામ આવ્યું અને ન તો તેની કમાણી. |
| Nepali (Ahl-al-Hadith) | २) नत उसको सम्पत्ति उसको काम आयो र न उसको कमाई । |
| हिन्दी (Al-Omari) | उसका धन तथा जो कुछ उसने कमाया था, उसके काम नहीं आया। |
| Roman Urdu (Maududi) | Uska maal aur jo kuch us ne kamaya woh uske kisi kaam na aaya |

| عَرَبِي | سَيَصلىٰ نارًا ذاتَ لَهَبٍ |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Sayasla naran thata lahabin |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Sa yas laa naran zaata lahab |
| English (Pickthall) | He will be plunged in flaming Fire, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of Blazing Flame! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame |
| English (Qarai) | Soon he will enter the blazing fire, |
| English (Hilali) | He will be burnt in a Fire of blazing flames! |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | On the Day of Judgement, he will soon enter the flaring hellfire and suffer its heat. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | वह शीघ्र ही प्रज्वलित भड़कती आग में पड़ेगा, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | वह बहुत भड़कती हुई आग में दाख़िल होगा |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | वह क़ियामत के दिन लपट वाली आग में दाखिल होगा और उसकी गर्मी को झेलेगा। |
| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૩. તે નજીકમાં ભડકાવેલી આગમાં જશે. |
| Nepali (Ahl-al-Hadith) | ३) ऊ शीघ्र नै प्रज्वलित आगोमा पर्नेछ । |
| हिन्दी (Al-Omari) | जल्द ही वह लपट वाली आग में दाख़िल होगा। |

| عَرَبِي | وَامرَأَتُهُ حَمّالَةَ الحَطَبِ |

| Transliteration (Tanzil) | Waimraatuhu hammalata alhatabi |
| Transliteration (Unicode) | Wam ra-atuhu hamma latal-hatab |
| English (Pickthall) | And his wife, the wood-carrier, |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!- |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. |
| English (Qarai) | and his wife [too], the firewood carrier, |
| English (Hilali) | And his wife too, who carries wood (thorns of Sadan which she used to put on the way of the Prophet (Peace be upon him), or use to slander him). |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | And his wife Umm Jamīl who would also harm the Prophet (peace be upon him) by throwing thorns into his path, will also enter it. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | और उसकी स्त्री भी ईधन लादनेवाली, |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और उसकी जोरू भी जो सर पर ईंधन उठाए फिरती है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | तथा उसकी पत्नी उम्मे जमील भी जहन्नम में प्रवेश करेगी, जो नबी सल्लल्लाहु अलैहि व सल्लम के रास्ते में काँटे फेंककर आपको कष्ट पहुँचाया करती थी। |

| Nepali (Ahl-al-Hadith) | ४) र उसकी पत्नी पनि जानेछे जुन दाउरा बोक्नेवाली छे । |
| हिन्दी (Al-Omari) | तथा उसकी पत्नी (भी जहन्नम में जाएगी), जो ईंधन उठाने वाली है। |
| Roman Urdu (Maududi) | Aur (us ke saath) us ki joru(wife) bhi lagai bujhai karne wali |
| Roman Urdu (Junagarhi) | Aur uski biwi bhi(jaeygi)jo lakriyan dhonay waali hai |

| عَرَبِي | في جيدِها حَبلٌ مِن مَسَدٍ |

| Transliteration (Unicode) | Fee jeediha hab lum mim-masad |
| English (Pickthall) | Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. |
| English (Yusuf Ali) | A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck! |
| English (Saheeh Int’l) | Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. |
| English (Qarai) | with a rope of palm fibre around her neck. |
| English (Hilali) | In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fibre). |
| English (Abridged Expl.) | Around her neck will be tightly bound a rope with which she will be dragged into the hellfire. |
| हिन्दी (Farooq) | उसकी गरदन में खजूर के रेसों की बटी हुई रस्सी पड़ी है |
| हिन्दी (Suhail) | और उसके गले में बटी हुई रस्सी बँधी है |
| हिन्दी तफ्सीर (Mokhtasar) | उसकी गर्दन में मज़बूत बटी हुई रस्सी होगी, जिसके साथ घसीटकर उसे जहन्नम में ले जाया जाएगा। |
| ગુજરાતી (Rabila) | ૫. તેના ગળામાં કાથીનું દોરડું હશે. |
| Nepali (Ahl-al-Hadith) | ५) उसको घाँटीमा खजूरबाट बनाइएको डोरी हुनेछ । |
| हिन्दी (Al-Omari) | उसकी गर्दन में मज़बूत बटी हुई रस्सी होगी। |
